Could you do fic for Fernando Alonso with wife reader?(no age gap). He saw that someone was flirting with her and she was oblivious to it. Then, he swoops in to âsaveâ her from a bad flirt when in reality they were just jealous. He also feels insecure about his age and to make him feel better, she reveals that she had a surprise for him. You decide what it was. Just something fluff and romantic. Tag me later!! Thanks :)))
You make me feel so âŚ. I donât know the word in English! -McLaren Fernando Alonso x ObliviousWife! Reader
Plot: Marrying Fernando Alonso was the best decision you ever made, you loved how manly and protective he was with you. However, recently heâs been getting jealous of the other men of the grid and how they treat you.
Fernando Alonso had been your husband for many years. You were sort of childhood sweethearts who married young on a whim and stuck together through it all.
You were able to travel the world with the person, later to be people you loved most. However recently you had a glow about it, maybe it was the fact that you were 1 month pregnant not to the knowledge of Fernando and not yet showing but just had that dewy, glowing skin that made you look radiant.
Everyone in the paddock took notice of this change, not that they couldnât appreciate your attractiveness before, but now it just made them swoon anytime you breezed into the garage in one of your pretty sun dresses.
Today was no different, it was a beautiful sunny day in Mexico, and you were handing out water and fruit for the mechanics and engineers hard at work on your husbands car. You knew them all by name, you made sure you did, so greeting them was never an issue.
However, nobody told you of the rookie employee that had joined them for Mexico in McLaren garage. You immediately started to introduce yourself to the man, talking to him about what he was doing to the car and asking when he had joined them.
Unknown to you, the mechanic was smitten with you and everything you were telling him about your life. He was listening to every word you were telling him, and that was the effect you had on a lot of people.
âSo are you, I dunno coming to the team dinner tonight?â He asks scratching the back of his neck and your about to answer with an animated yes until you feel a hand snake round your waist and pull you closer to them.
You look up and see your husband making you smile and pull him into a gentle kiss.
âMmm my wife will be attending the dinnerâ Fernando says, you canât tell but itâs said with a grit in his teeth and a sharp foxy look in his eyes that tells him to back off.
Fernando was used to you getting male attention, but lately it was constant and you didnât even know it was happening, you were just so oblivious and he hated that you didnât realise all these people were flirting with you.
And that mechanic wasnât even the last of it.
Maybe it was something in the Mexican air, but even Fernando couldnât seem to keep his hands off you over the weekend, especially after your run in with Lewis, and your old friend Jenson.
When Lewis come up to you, you had a big grin on your face.
âHey darling. How are you?â He asked kissing either side of your cheeks looking over you with those eyes that would draw any woman in, but you. You had no idea those flirty eyes were intended that way. You just saw the kind chocolate brown and assumed the sparkle and glint in there was happiness to see you.
âIâm really good Lew! Just getting to that point of the day where Iâm so exhausted, not all of us are young athletes that look 10 year more youthful than they areâ you joked to him making him laugh.
âMmm you definitely donât struggle in that departmentâ he says looking over you and you beam at him.
âItâs just so warm, do you recon you can help me take my jacket off? Iâm not sure where Fernando is, and the buttons always get caught in my hairâ you ask, looking round quickly to see if you can in fact bother your husband with the minor inconvenience at hand.
âOf course, turn around for meâ he instructs before pulling your hair back and carefully peeling the tight jacket from your body, now showing off the full look of the sundress you were wearing and how it clung to your most valuable assets in the best ways.
âNew dressâ Lewis asks observing it making you nod.
âMmmm, I love getting to wear these kinds of dresses in this heat, they make me feel very prettyâ you smile as you shove your hands into the pockets of your dress that when you first got it you couldnât stop telling Fernando about them, before doing a little spin for Lewis, showing of the small slit in the dress.
Fernando came over the minute he saw the look on Lewis face, who was holding your jacket as he spoke to you.
âLewisâ Fernando faked a smile at the fellow driver, once again wrapping his arms around you so you were in front of him with a tight grip and nowhere to go.
âHello Fernandoâ Lewis smiles coyly with a slight smirk. The two make idle conversation before Fernandos dragging you away trying to lightly ask you to stay out in the garage and donât stray away.
But once he was in the car, you found yourself needing the toilet (Curse the start of your baby sitting on your bladder) and another drink due to the high temperatures Mexico was experiencing that day.
There you found Jenson who was just finishing up with an interview before his eyes landed on you.
âWell if it isnât Y/N Alonso, looking as beautiful as everâ he grins and you pull him into a hug.
Youâd known Jenson for pretty much your whole life being childhood friends from Primary school in the UK. You met Fernando when you went to university in Spain, you always joked that you would have still met someone even if it was later in life because Jenson would have likely introduced you.
So when Fernando saw you and him jokingly messing around with one another his face was like thunder.
Jenson could immediately tell and said a quick goodbye to you not wanting to be at the brunt of the Spaniards anger.
âFernando baby, whatâs the matter?â You ask, coming close to him and trying to thread your fingers through his but he shoves your hand away lightly.
âWhen will you see it?â He demands and you cock your head to the side, not understanding what he meant, making him groan at how cute you looked.
âSee what mi amor?â You ask, using Spanish to see if heâd be calmer.
âYou donât see all these BOYS flirting with you and trying to win you over and you donât see how it affects me and upsets me! And you make me so mad when you entertain itâs and and I donât know the world in English because I donât even think there is a word to describe it!â He exclaims all at once making you step back.
He was really really hurt by all this⌠and you hadnât been able to see it.
âHave you ever thought that I donât notice it because I only have eyes for you?â You ask softly, taking his hand happy and satisfied he lets you this time.
âI know I know, I just think⌠all of these men coming up to you ⌠they are younger than us and it just makes me think they could give you more than I canâ he sighs and looks at you with those little puppy dog eyes.
âDonât you dare say that!â You exclaim almost offended. He had in fact brought your age into it aswell!
âHow dare you say that they could give me more than you can, when you damn well know youâve given me everything!â You say raising your voice.
âFernando, I love you, and only you! How can you not see that!â You ask.
âI do see it, I just someone feel insecure and I worry that we are too late to experience certain things and its all my fault coz I put it off because of my career!â He explains and your head cocks to the side once again, wondering what he feels like heâs too late to experience.
âWhat, what do you think weâve left too late?â You question.
âKids, travelling the world without my career being there ⌠I dunno I just had a different timeline for us when we first metâ he sighs rubbing his temple before pulling you closer to him and resting his head in the crook of you neck as he takes in your sent.
âBaby, thereâs something Iâve been meaning to tell you. I was going to wait for after the race so we could tell your parents too but I think this will cheer you up a little ⌠and stop you from worrying about me running over with your colleaguesâ you joke and he sighs with a light smile pulling back to look over you.
âWhat is it mi amor?â He asks looking over you. You take his hand and place it on your still pretty flat stomach.
âYou can cross a kid of your timelineâ you say nervously with a small gulp worried for his reaction.
âAre you being serious?â He asks with a huge grin and he feels around you more to see if there is a more obvious sign.
âYeah, i only found out before the flight out hereâ you nod smiling at him and he lifts you up, being as careful as possible with you as he pulls you into a hug.
âI love you so so much! Iâm sorry I get so jealous of you, but you canât blame me when Iâm married to such a beautiful woman. Thank you for everythingâ he smiles pulling you into a light kiss.
Fernando couldnât be more content with his life right now.

Co-parenting (Part 1)
Pairing: Carlos Sainz x ex wife!reader
Warnings: Carlos being a bitch, fighting and maybe other things.
Summary: Co-parenting is never easy but y/n never though it would be so hard.
Next Chapter
Carlos and I got divorced 2 years ago, and currently, we share custody of our daughter, which means I have her since Carlos travels a lot due to racing, so every weekend heâs free, he comes and picks up Maeve.
But this time I had a very unpleasant surprise.
Being famous, I was always aware of what was happening with Carlos, even if I didnât want to, and a few months ago, rumors came out that he was with some model, and when we separated, we made an agreement that any person who entered romantically into our lives, we would introduce to each other before involving that person in our daughterâs life.
But it seems Carlos had a problem when it comes to him.
I crossed my arms watching Carlos and the model girlfriend get out of the car and come towards my door, besides not notifying me about it, he simply brought her along without any prior discussion or approval.
The doorbell rang, and I walked to the front door, and there were Carlos and Rebecca, both trying to look welcoming and unconcerned.
âHi, Y/n,â Carlos said, smiling. âHow are you?â
âWhat is this?â I asked, pointing to the two of them.
âWhat do you mean?â
âYou demand an agreement, and when it comes to you, you simply ignore it.â He took a deep breath.
âI know, but weâve been dating for a while, and I thought it was time for you to meet her.â
âMeet her?â Y/nâs voice trembled with frustration. âYou canât make this decision alone, Carlos. We are her parents, and this should be a decision we make together, not something you just think is a good idea and ignore the fact that I am her mother.â
Rebecca stepped forward, with a gentle voice.
âY/n, I really just want to get to know her. Iâm not trying to replace you.â
And my frustration only intensified.
âItâs not about replacing me. Itâs about us making decisions together for our daughter, and that doesnât involve you being here.â Carlos sighed, running his hand through his hair.
âLook, it wasnât our intention to make you uncomfortable. Letâs talk about this, okay?â
âOh, so now you want to talk?â
âCan you stop being so difficult? Sheâs my daughter too.â
âThen start acting like a father instead of going around kissing models in clubs and then bringing them to my doorstep.â
âI am a father when I can be because my life is very busy, and you knew that when we had her.â He says arms crossed. âMaybe you should stop being a terrible mother making me lose the little time I have with my daughter, and then we talk about it.â
âCarlos.â Rebecca speaks as he finishes.
âYou know what, if anyone here is a terrible parent, itâs you who prefers to spend your weekends in a car racing in circles and risking leaving your daughter without a father. Iâm here every day doing the best I can to take care of her, but apparently, that makes me a terrible mother, so Iâll call her and you do whatever you want since itâs always been like this.â
I enter the house holding back my tears and go call her, she was so excited to see her dad that she didnât even notice the tension between us, and I thanked god for that.
He tried to talk to me before leaving, but I just said goodbye to Maeve and closed the door, but I couldnât help but notice that Rebecca wasnât there anymore.
âŚ
Hours passed and when the end of the day came, I heard the noise of his car, so I went to the door, and when I opened it, she came running.
âMom, look.â She said showing me a bag full of things. âIâll show you everything after I take a shower and have dinner.â
âOkay, my love, go ahead.â She smiles, says goodbye to him, and goes to her room.
âCan we talk?â
âNo, I donât want to talk to you.â I tried to close the door, but he held it. âYouâve already said what you think of me, and Iâve already said what I think of you; I donât think we have anything else to say.â
âWhat I said is not what I really think.â
âIn fact, it is, at least part of you thinks that way, and Iâm not going to take back what I said about you because I think that way. I know itâs your career, but I wonât admit that you break our rule, tell me Iâm a terrible mother, and then come back wanting to apologize.â He doesnât say anything. âYou donât know how hard it is to see the guy you loved more than anything with someone else, but especially to see the father of your daughter say that youâre a terrible mother even though I work really hard to give her the best life I can.â
âIâm sorry.â
âThat wonât fix things this time, Carlos.â I say looking into his eyes. âYou donât do anything to make my life easier; you show up, do your fatherly duty for a weekend while I stay here dealing with everything else. I donât have the option of having only the easy parts of having a child. I have to deal with the pressure of being a single mother, having to hide from her every time I need to cry because I canât take it anymore doing this alone, or having to leave her with my parents because I canât even get out of bed to take care of her while youâre out there sticking your tongue down supermodelsâ throats.â
âI didnât know you felt this way.â
âAnd how would you know? Youâre never here.â He doesnât say anything. âI donât need anything from you, not anymore. The time when I needed you here has passed, and I hope it never comes back.â
âIs everything okay, mommy?â Maeve asks appearing on the stairs, having taken a shower and wearing pajamas.
âYes, my love, what do you want to eat?â I say wiping my tears.
âI want nuggets with veggies.â
âOkay, so letâs make them.â
âAre you going to have dinner here, daddy?â
âNo, my love, I have to go, but Iâll see you tomorrow, okay?â
âBut donât you have to go travel?â
âI do, but not now.â
âOkay.â She goes to him and then comes back to the table. âIâll really come to pick her up tomorrow if thatâs okay with you.â
âOkay.â
âBye.â He leaves, and I lock everything.
âMommy, where are you?â She screams from the kitchen.
âIâm coming baby.â
Iâm not sure if Iâll write a part 2 but if you guys want another part, let me know.

Begin Again Chapter 2
Summary: Ever since Bella came back to Forks things between y/n and her boys have been different. Embry and Quil stopped answering phone calls and texts, theyâve even been avoiding her everytime she shows up at their house. So y/n does the only thing she can think to do, she latches onto Jacob just like Bella, and when he starts acting like Embry and Quil did, she makes the decision to not put so much effort into a friendship that is clearly one sided. But what happens one day when Samâs pack is in town at the same time as y/n and her new friends and two certain boys imprint on their former best friend? And what happens when a former best friend doesnât feel the same way?
Authors note: Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!! I am actually so freaking excited that so many people liked the first chapter. When I posted this I never thought that I would be getting any kind of traction or reads but the 20 people that liked my first chapter are really making me feel good about myself and my writing skills. I don't know how consistent my chapter updating will be I have a really hard time with sticking to things but the enthusiasm i'm feeling after posting for the first time is really making my productivity flow.
Not beta read, lemme know If there are any egregious spelling or grammar errors and I will 100% go back and fix it

Chapter 1 | Master list | Chapter 3
For the next two weeks your routine is almost exactly the same. You meet Scott and Stiles by your locker every morning and sit with their friends at lunch. It is such a crazy thing to think that if you had gotten to school any later that day then you would have never met them. And looking back, you canât imagine not being friends with them now. They were filling the void that Embry and Quil had left in your heart.Â
Your life was looking up and you were doing great, even Bella seemed to be doing better. She was hanging out with you and Jacob, and had even started going out with some of the kids from school. You and Stiles were getting closer to each other too. You spent most of your time in class, the ones you shared, talking to him and goofing off. You both had gotten in trouble a few times but that didn't deter you from talking. Like now.Â
âHey, so I was thinking about going into town this weekend, I need to do some clothes shopping and I was wondering, if perhaps, youâre free?â You had been meaning to ask him for the past few days but you had only now just worked up the courage. It was the first time you would be spending any time together outside of school and you were nervous.Â
âOh, uhh. Yeah totally!â His response was almost instant and the way that his cheeks turned a light pink told you that he didn't mean to answer you that fast. âUm, I mean, Yeah. Iâm down to go with you.â Stiles blushed even harder and then turned forward to pay attention to what the teacher was saying.Â
âOkay, cool. Iâll come pick you up around noon on Saturday?âÂ
âThatâs good.â That was the end of the conversation. It seemed he was too caught up in the fact that you had asked him out to remember to talk to you for the rest of class.Â
After school that day Jacob was leaning on your car, waiting for you to come out. He had been doing this a lot lately, waiting for you to get out of school so he could get a ride from you back to the reservation. Which didnât really make sense to you but you figured if he liked doing this then why change it.Â
âYou will never guess what I did today.â It was the first thing that came out of your mouth when you got close enough to him. You couldn't wait to tell him about your hang out with Stiles on Saturday. âI asked Stiles on a date and he said yes!â You couldn't contain your excitement. It was too hard to give him the time to guess what you did so you decided to just tell him.Â
âWow, that's a big step for you.â Jacob smiled, glad to see you happy. He knew that after the last few months you had that you deserved all the happiness you could get. âWhen are you going? Your sister asked me to go to the movies with her and this Mike guy on Sunday night and I really don't want to have to deal with it all alone.âÂ
âWell, weâre hanging out Saturday afternoon so I'm totally free to go with you guys on Sunday.â Jacob had had a crush on Bella for as long as you could remember, but you knew that he didn't want to be stuck in an awkward situation with her and some other guy.Â
âSooooo?â Stiles drawled, âwhat exactly are we looking for? Or what exactly are you looking for?â You two had been out for about 2 hours now and so far all you had found was a puffy green jacket and a pair of fluffy brown socks, which you only bought because they matched Stiles eyes.Â
âI donât know yet. I guess I'll know when I see it.â Your reply was nonchalant but you knew exactly what you were looking for. You just didn't want to let him know before you actually found it. Last week when you and your dad were in town you had seen a book that Stiles had been talking about religiously and with his birthday coming up you thought it would be the perfect gift.Â
âDo you want to grab lunch too or do you want to just eat at my house?â you ask him, not seeing the way he turns to look at you with heart eyes.Â
âWe can go to the diner after you're done shopping.â He suggests.Â
âYea totally.âÂ
Thatâs when you heard it, the loud rumble of laughter from a group of boys at the other end of the street. You both looked up to where the noise came from. A slight gasp came from your parted lips as you saw Quil and Embry play fighting with the other boys from Samâs group. Your face dropped as the two boys seemed to look up in unison and lock eyes with you.Â
âDo you know them? They look like they know you.â Stiles asked, looking over at you to see you in some kind of trance staring at them. âHey, y/n/n? Are you okay?âÂ
That seemed to snap you out of whatever daze you were stuck in. You looked away from them and back to Stiles before nodding and grabbing his hand to drag him into the nearest building. Which happened to be the bookstore you were looking for in the first place.Â
âSorry about that, they were just some old friends of mine. We don't really talk anymore and I havenât seen them in some time so it was kind of shocking.â The apology spilled out of your mouth before you could stop it but that make it untrue. It was hard seeing them like that, happy and having fun when they left you feeling the way that they did. But you also couldn't help feeling a sort of resentment at them.Â
âNah itâs alright.â He dismissed taking a look around the bookstore. You had completely forgotten why you were in this store for a second, but when you remembered you had to hurry and spot the book before he could.Â
Luckily you were able to find it and discreetly buy it while he looked around the store and grabbed a few things off the shelfs. When he was done checking out you slipped your hand into his, locked fingers, and led him out of the store.Â
They had never felt like this before. As they locked eyes with you they saw their future flash before their eyes. You, Embry, Quil, and a happy little family. The euphoria and sense of calm that washed over them as they saw all of this was the most exquisite feeling either of the boys had ever felt. It was like nothing they had ever experienced and they had an inkling that they would never feel it again without you.Â
When they watched you grab that boy's hand and run off it was like their entire world came crashing down. Their hearts, now beating in unison, felt like they were cracking. Before they could ever have you, you were gone and with someone else. Embry looked away first, face crumbling under the weight of these newfound emotions. He had never felt anything so fast, and to have it all ripped away from him so suddenly felt like a knife right into his soul.Â
Quill was no better. The two boys had always shared everything growing up, they were the closest to each other of all the pack members. So it made sense that they would imprint on the same girl. And of course that girl would be their childhood best friend. The same girl they pinned after for years before turning for the first time and never speaking to her again. It was the hardest thing they ever had to do, and now, because of their actions, they were reaping the consequences.Â
The dejection and rejection they were feeling was amplified by each other, every emotion coursing through their veins heightened by what the other was feeling. They wanted to whine and curl up into a ball at your feet and beg you to forgive them for the rest of their lives if that's what it took to make it up to you.Â
It seemed as though the other boys around them knew not to say anything. No teasing remarks or mocking jabs were taken at the expense of the boys. All of them could sense that Embry and Quil had just imprinted on you. Everyone saw the way that you ran off like the sight of them would burn you if you looked for too long.Â
âCome on, I think itâs time to head back.â it was Sam who spoke up. Always the one to take charge and take the lead in situations where no one knew what to do. But even now, he was struggling to find the right words to say or the right actions to take that could help these boys. He had never heard of an imprintee rejecting their mate.Â
âNo, but, we should go talk to her.â Embry whined out. Just the thought of leaving you behind after just finding out that he was supposed to spend the rest of his life with you sounded like agony. He would rather never be able to shift again than leave without you.Â
âI think it's pretty clear that she doesnât want to talk to either of you right now. Give it time. Think about how you want to approach her, what youâll say. Right now is not the time or place for any of this, especially after that reaction.â Sam reasoned. He knew that getting everyone back to the pack house right now was his only option. He couldn't let Quil or Embry do something stupid and impulsive that could put people in danger.Â
Everyone could see the way that the two boys hesitated to do what Sam asked. The longing and desire to be with you, so present in their eyes that they were waiting for something to happen. So Sam did the only reasonable thing he could think to do in that moment, and he commanded everyone to head back to the pack house at that instant.Â
Begrudgingly Embry and Quil did as they were told and turned around to head back to the house. Looking back every so often, while the shop you had disappeared into was still in sight, to see if they could catch another glimpse of you through the windows or see you leaving. Just as the shop was about to disappear from their view the door gently swung open and you walked out laughing, head thrown back and a hand on your stomach as you full body cackled at whatever the mystery boy you were with voiced. Said boy, who was holding your other hand as he exited the building after you.
It tore their hearts even further in two. So with their tails, real and figurative, tucked between their legs they made their way back. Heads hung low and spirits completely drained.
What had started out as a normal Saturday had officially become one of the worst days of their lives.

The Dangers of Hope Epilogue
Series Summary: When Y/N shows up at Camp Chitaqua with her little girl in tow, her bloodshot eyes leave no doubt that she's infected. Or is she? Everything Dean has come to know for certain over the last five hellish years, is about to be challenged.
Pairings/Characters in the series: Endverse!Dean x Reader, Emma (OFC), Castiel, Sam Winchester, Lucifer, Michael, Zachariah, Risa, Johnston (OMC), Patrick (OMC), Theresa (OFC), other survivors and soldiers.
Series Explicit 18 +/Warnings: Show level violence, some gore, angst, smut, fluff all the usual for a series of mine. â¤ď¸ Endverse!Dean (that's a warning for his anger and callousness as well as his extreme hotness. đ) Each chapter will have their own specific warnings.
Chapter Warnings: None.
Word Count: 5,849
A/N: So, I've had this idea for quite a while. Basically since I watched The Last of Us. I loved Pedro in the role of Joel, but I kept thinking how incredible Jensen would have been. Which then made me think of how amazing he was as Endverse!Dean which then led me to this idea. Lol! I've stolen the premise of Ellie's storyline from TLOU, but made her a grown up, a reader insert, and a love interest for Dean.
If you've never seen TLOU, don't worry - you don't need to have seen it to understand this story. đ
I've taken some liberties with the Endverse in my story, changed a few things from canon, but kept lots of things too.
I sincerely hope you enjoy the story. It will be ten chapters and I will do my very best to post one chapter every weekend. â¤ď¸
A/N 2: So this is it, the epilogue, the end. I'm so sad to say goodbye to this series. I've really loved writing it, even if it kicked my ass a couple of times. I know I've said this already, but it definitely bears repeating - I'm so unbelievably grateful for the love and support you've all shown this series. Thanks so much - and I hope you enjoy this little peak into Dean and Y/N's lives a decade later. This ended up about twice as long as I'd planned. Lol! Enjoy! â¤ď¸

Spring, 10 Years Later
The rumbling engine of the Impala was silenced as Dean pulled into the garage and parked Baby in her spot. The camp had eight cars now, so they'd had to expand the garage two summers before. The cars got shuffled around all the time, but Baby always kept her spot on the end. Everyone knew it was her spot.
The late afternoon sun shone in through the garage windows as Dean removed the keys from the ignition and pushed them back into his black, denim jacket pocket.
Sam was sitting beside him and shot him a questioning look when Dean didn't immediately jump out. âDean?âÂ
Dean nodded and then looked over at his little brother. âDo you think I did the right thing?â
Sam sighed. He'd already answered this question from his brother, in various forms, three or four times.Â
The Deerling Survivors Camp, a small camp located almost seventy miles away, had sent a message to Dean a week earlier, requesting a face-to-face meeting. Dean had asked Sam to come along and they'd stayed overnight at the fledgling camp. The pseudo-leader there, just a young kid whoâd been thrust into the role, had asked them to let Deerling join Camp Chitaqua, and after seeing the shape of the camp, Dean had agreed on the spot.
Years earlier the four smaller camps surrounding Chitaqua had joined them, expanding the camp by miles and miles and raising the population by more than two hundred people. It had been a big decision, and Dean had consulted with the council for a couple days before agreeing to the expansion.Â
It was a very good decision in the end, since they now had enough land to plant six, four acre farm plots. They made sure to rotate crops, leaving one field fallow every season and using it for grazing pasture. But all that fertile land meant that the campers all had plenty of fresh vegetables. Their expanded size also allowed them to enlarge their barn, so they could now house and care for four cows and a bull, two horses, dozens of chickens, a rooster, two pigs, and eight sheep.Â
They'd bartered and traded with other camps for most of their animals or found them wandering around alone and unclaimed. But they bought their sheep from a farmer living in what used to be Iowa. A lot of farmers had started over there, scratching out a new life from the soil, now that the world had started turning once again.
Seven years ago they'd finally succeeded in producing a vaccine. It had taken a lot of hard work. For three years, every single person that worked on it did so with nothing more than a promise of a better tomorrow.Â
It had taken another two plus years to get the word and the vaccine out to people, but now most of the population was vaccinated. The vaccine had also been carried overseas. They couldn't be sure how things were going across the pond because communication was still very limited. But they'd heard rumors that it was going well.Â
Some infrastructure was up and running again; they had electricity in some places, and some cities had running water again. There were even some places that had phone lines connected - in and around the bigger cities where people were beginning to congregate.
Things seemed to be progressing quickly out west in the former California, where they'd reportedly started broadcasting some form of Television again. Not very many people had TVs anymore to watch, but it seemed comforting to people just to know something resembling their former lives was returning.Â
Not everything was perfect, of course. There was no centralized government, or structured, widespread laws. Most areas had variations of camps like Chitaqua with leaders in charge, or occasionally small, internally elected governments that ran the camp. Lawlessness still existed in a lot of places, but it was being beaten further back every day as groups banded together.Â
There were also still some areas that were uninhabitable because massive groups of Croats still roamed there. The researchers that had created the vaccine were working on a cure for those whoâd already been infected, but thus far theyâd proved unsuccessful. Croat attacks still happened sometimes, but the vaccine meant that people just had to deal with the bite itself, making sure it was healing properly - something that was becoming easier as medical stations were springing up in and around larger populations as well, as doctors went back to healing people as theyâd been trained to do.
Chitaqua had a physician, Dr. Turner, who lived in the camp. The Medical Tent was no more and instead the doctorâs office and their cache of medical supplies were now housed in a big log structure that had been tiled inside to keep it as clean and sanitary as possible. Patrick was happy to be rid of guard duties these days, working alongside Dr. Turner to watch over the health and well-being of the campers.
There werenât many tents left nowadays either. They had a bunch stored away in case the camp ended up with a big influx of new campers and temporary housing was needed. But most people lived in log cabins of varying sizes, dotted over the two and a half square miles of the camp. There were well over five hundred people in the camp now, since amalgamating the four other camps. They also had a reputation for being a prosperous, strong community, so people tended to migrate there as well - which continued to add to their numbers.
Now, after the meeting with the Deerling camp, theyâd be adding another ninety-six people to their ranks, inflating their population to nearly seven hundred people. Dean was worried about the fact that heâd made the decision to absorb the smaller camp without consulting the council this time.Â
The council was a group made up of eight other people besides Dean. Sam and Y/N were on it, as well as Brandy, Risa, Dr. Turner, and three other campers who were there representing the hunters, the farmers and the builders.
Day-to day decisions were still handled by Dean, but he relied on the council for other bigger decisions - taking their thoughts, ideas and opinions into account before he ultimately made a decision. Agreeing to take in another flock of people and develop another thirty acres of land was definitely one of those big decisions heâd normally take to the council, which was why, Sam knew, Dean had been second guessing his unilateral decision to say yes to Deerlingâs request.
Sam shook his head at his brother as he answered Deanâs worry again. âDean, you acted out of generosity, the council will understand. I can vouch for the fact that those campers need a lot of help very quickly. Those kids were starving, you could see that.â
Dean nodded. âYeah, I know, but I just brought the camp more strain on resources with no benefits.â
Sam shrugged. âWell, thereâs the land.â
Dean scoffed. âYeah, unfarmable land thatâs separated from us by almost eighty miles. And Brisbane camp sits between us and Deerling, and they already think weâre trying to take them over. Joining with a group on the other side of them is gonna make them even more suspicious and possibly turn them unfriendly.â He rubbed a hand over his face. âI should have consulted the council.â
âDean, thereâs no way the council would have opted to just let a bunch of kids and sick people die. Theyâre definitely going to agree with your decision, and this way youâve simply ensured that we can get food and medicine out to them by tomorrow instead of making them wait days for it. Trust me, you made the right decision.â
Dean grunted his response, still unsure.Â
Sam slapped the back of his hand against Deanâs shoulder. âNow, Iâm gonna go talk with the Doc about getting supplies together and coming out there with me tomorrow. Will you talk with Brandy later about food?â
Dean nodded. âYeah.â A smile finally lit his face. âAnd then Iâm goinâ home.â
Sam smiled and opened his door to climb out of the Impala. âGood plan. Give Y/N and the kids a kiss for me.â
Dean climbed out too and slammed his door behind him. He called Sam back as his brother began to walk away.Â
âWe should also figure out a time and day to have a sit down with the new leader from Brisbane, talk with her about our intentions regarding Deerling. Sheâs tough, but she seems more approachable and level-headed than their last leader. Maybe we can convince her weâre not looking to take anything over.âÂ
Sam nodded. âThatâs a good idea.â
Dean frowned. âWhatâs her name again?â
âEileen Leahy.âÂ
Dean noticed his brotherâs cheeks turn pink and he immediately turned back into an annoying big brother, his grin wide.Â
âRight, right, you met with her alone last time. Sheâs cute, huh? Something we should know? Maybe you should invite her over to our place for dinner next week. We can have our little sit down conversation then. What do you think?â
Sam had already turned and started walking away. âYouâre an idiot!â He called back over his shoulder. But Dean made a mental note to tell Y/N all about it later.Â
With Y/N firmly in mind he started out across the camp. Their cabin was situated on top of a low hill in the Southwest section of the camp, not all that far from where their old red tent used to sit.
Theyâd built their cabin when they came back to Chitaqua eight years ago after helping to set up the research facility. The vaccine was still a year away, but theyâd done all they could do and they were ecstatic that after two years of traveling back and forth from camp, gathering doctors, researchers and searching for other psychic kids, (theyâd only found two others) and after Y/N had given gallons of her blood to science, they could finally come home for good.Â
Not long after returning home, Y/N realized she was pregnant and Dean became obsessed with building them a beautiful home. It was around that time that the camps had all joined together and building homes for everyone became a priority of the camp.Â
The builders grew in numbers as they took on apprentices and taught them the trade so that more people in the camp could join in the work. It took almost four years of constant building, but eventually all five hundred plus campers had permanent homes.
Gotta pull the tents out for the Deerling folks, Dean thought as he walked, his mind immediately occupied with figuring out the logistics of where the new campers could stay, and how they could join in the life of the camp, once they were all healthy.
He stopped by Food Storage and spoke with Brandy as Sam had requested. And just as his brother had suspected, when he explained the situation, Brandy was one council member who was very glad heâd made the decision he had. He felt more sure now that the others would feel the same.
As Dean wound his way through camp he got stopped quite a few times, people wanting to talk with him about one concern or another. He generally pointed them in the direction of the person or group in the camp that could help them. But he also got stopped by friends wanting to say hi and talk for a moment or two.
He was happy to talk, but anxious to get home to Y/N.
He looked out towards the large school building where Y/N still taught every day. The new building had been built on the site where the main cabin had been burned down. It was even bigger than the old cabin, with six rooms for the seven teachers that worked there now.Â
Y/N was also the principal of the school for all intents and purposes; she and the other teachers taught over two hundred kids from ages five to sixteen. Theresa had finished school and immediately joined the staff as a teacher, working with Y/N every day and loving it. Brandy was so proud.
But Dean wasnât surprised to see the building empty now, however; he knew it was a day off. He picked up his pace, weaving through the buildings that resided where the old tents had taken up space.Â
Theyâd greatly expanded the food storage, and had an entirely different rations system now that fresh vegetables, fruit, fish and game made up the vast majority of their diet. Brandy was still in charge and was constantly innovating to make things easier and to stretch their food as far as they could in order to feed everyone.Â
The former tent area also housed three large storage sheds, a small building that worked as an office/meeting space for whatever group needed to use it, and a small mill where they processed the wheat they grew - that process had included a steep learning curve, but theyâd eventually made it work.
There was also a small, open area where a kind of market had popped up organically as the campers traded amongst themselves for things like homemade jewelry, homemade clothes, and other non-essentials.
He walked behind the buildings and began climbing the gently rising path that led to their cabin at the top of the hill. About halfway home he heard loud barking and looked up to see their seven year old Bernese-Husky cross, Clifford, bounding towards him, the way he usually did when any of the family came home.Â
âHey, boy.â Dean said softly, scratching him behind the ears. âMiss me?â
Clifford barked happily in answer and ran ahead and then back to where Dean stood, obviously urging him on towards home. Dean laughed and sped up, chasing after the big dog who sometimes still acted like a puppy.
As the path through the trees ended, opening up into their wide front yard, Dean sighed deeply. âHome sweet home.â He murmured.Â
Even though he'd been away less than two days, he was still so happy to be home. He felt the peace that filled him up every time he stepped around the last bend in the path and caught sight of their home in the distance.
The way smoke curled lazily from the chimney and the scent of something delicious wafted through the half open Dutch door, never failed to make him ache to get his arms around his wife and bask in her light. Dean shook his head at his sentimental thoughts, but hurried his pace to get inside.Â
As he drew closer however, something caught his attention out of the corner of his eye and he turned his head to see his son walking East, coming out from behind the house. Dean figured he was heading over to his friend Freddie's, and he was about to continue on into the cabin, but then he noticed what his eight-year-old was holding in his hand.
âGabriel Eric Winchester!âÂ
Dean's voice bellowed out, freezing the young boy where he stood. Dean strode towards him, anger clear on his face. To the boy's credit, even when he turned and saw his father's anger, he still walked forward slowly, until he was standing directly in front of him.Â
The gun he held, however, was tucked just behind his back, as though he was hoping Dean hadn't noticed it.Â
Dean held his hand out. âGive that to me this second.â
Gabe's face fell and he brought the gun forward reluctantly, dropping it onto Dean's palm.Â
Dean immediately checked to make sure the small, .38 caliber, Smith and Wesson revolver was unloaded and when he saw it was, he held it in his fist, directly in front of Gabe's eyes.
âWhat the hell do you think you're doing with this?â
His son's eyes were wide and they got watery quickly.Â
He shrugged. âI was just gonna bring it to Freddie's. Josh said he could teach us to shoot.â He said, referring to his friendâs older brother. âJust cans on a fence.â He was quick to reassure Dean.
âAnd did you ask your mother if you could remove a gun from the weapons chest?â Dean asked, already well aware of the answer.Â
Gabe shook his head. âNo.â He said quietly.
âHow did you get it?â Dean asked brusquely.
Gabrielâs voice was still soft as he admitted what heâd done. âI grabbed it yesterday when mom took out a rifle to scare away some raccoons that were trying to get into the compost. Josh said he could teach us if we had guns. So when I saw it last night I justâŚâ He trailed off as he looked up at Dean's face.
âSo what you're telling me,â Dean said quietly, âis that while your mother's back was turned you STOLE a gun and planned to use it without asking either of us for permission.â
Gabe's tears spilled down his cheek at his father's disappointed tone and accurate words. He nodded and then sniffed.Â
âI'm sorry.â He said thickly.Â
Dean crouched down so he could look his son in the eye. âGabe, a gun is not a toy. I thought you knew this. It's not something to mess around with or use on a whim. It is a weapon. It's incredibly dangerous. If you'd gone off and started shooting, even just at cans, you could have seriously hurt or killed yourself or your friends. Do you understand me?â
Gabe nodded but bit his lip. âBut you carry a gun.â He said, pointing to the ever present gun strapped to Deanâs thigh. âAnd you started using guns when you were even younger than me. I heard you talking about it to mom before. And IâŚâ He sniffled again. âI just wanted to be like you.â
Dean sighed and shook his head. âOh, buddy, I want you to be so much more than me. Your mom and I, we've worked really hard to make things better for you guys, to make the world safer so that when you grow up, hopefully you wonât have to walk around with a gun strapped to you at all times. Itâs my job to protect the people in this camp. Thatâs why I carry a gun, and why I sometimes carry a rifle. But thatâs not your job. Your job is to just be a little boy.â
Dean saw Gabriel pout a bit about being called a little boy. He smiled gently and squeezed his sonâs shoulders. âTrust me, buddy, you should enjoy being a kid, donât try to grow up too quickly.â
Gabe nodded begrudgingly and Dean pulled his son in for a hug. After a moment, he pulled back from him and stood up straight again, before nodding towards the cabin. âGo to your room now until supper, and when you come out, youâll owe your mother an apology for going behind her back. Also, nothing but school and home for a week, do you understand?â
Gabe looked like he wanted to argue, but thought better of it when Dean gave him a stern look. âYes, sir.â He said in acceptance and turned to run into the cabin.
âGabriel!â Dean called. When his son turned back, the tear tracks on his grubby cheeks still visible, Dean spoke quietly but with conviction. âI love you and thatâs why I know you can do better.â
Gabeâs face lost some of its forlorn look and he gave Dean a slightly awkward smile, lightly banging his fist against the side of his leg. âLove you too, Dad.â He said quickly before bolting for the house.
Dean shook his head and slipped the gun into his inside jacket pocket. Heâd have to have a few more conversations with his son about gun safety and responsibility, but he was confident he could drill the dangers into him.
He walked up the stairs to the front door, more than ready to see Y/N and his girls. When he walked inside, however, he could hear voices coming from behind the kitchen door, and they didnât sound very happy.
He pushed open the swinging door and saw Y/N and Emma inside. Y/Nâs face lit up. âDean!â She said happily as she saw him and crossed to the door to pull him down for a kiss.Â
âEw.â Emma said.
It was the standard reaction from all of their kids when they kissed in front of them. Emma had a hand over her eyes as Dean finished the kiss and looked over to where she stood by the sideboard that held all their plates, cups and glasses.
âYou can look now, kiddo, weâre all finished.â Dean told her with a grin. âFor the moment.â
Emma rolled her eyes and made Dean chuckle. Y/N frowned up at him. âDid I hear you yelling at Gabe?â
Dean nodded. âYeah, gotta talk to you about that, but you guys sounded angry when I came in. Anything wrong?â
Y/N looked at Emma and shrugged. âIâve been telling Emma that she needs to invite her new friend for dinner.â
Deanâs brow wrinkled as he looked at Emma. âYou donât want to bring your friend over for dinner?â
Emma looked at Y/N with frustration, clearly annoyed that sheâd told Dean anything.Â
Dean tried again. âWhatâs going on kiddo, since when donât you want us to meet your friends? Who is it, by the way? Didnât realize any new kids had started at the school.â
Y/N shook her head. âJeffreyâs not a new student, heâs just a newâŚfriend.â She said meaningfully.Â
Dean caught on and his face immediately dissolved into a scowl. âOh.â He said without enthusiasm, crossing his arms over his chest.
âSee?â Emma barked out, pointing at Dean, but talking to Y/N. âI told you this is how heâd be!!â
âWhat?â Dean asked defensively. âWhat are you talking about?â
Emma folded her arms, her posture and scowl mirroring Deanâs. âYou get like this every time I bring a boy home, even when heâs absolutely just a friend. You scare the shit out of them!â
âEmma!â Y/N said, reprimanding her for her language..
But Dean just scoffed. âI donât know what you mean. How do I scare them?â
Emma glared at him. âYou interrogate them, Daddy, you know you do.â
Dean rolled his eyes. âCome on, if theyâre too freaked out to answer a few simple questions then-â
âSimple questions?â Emma interrupted with a humorless laugh. âWhen I invited Timothy Sutherland over here you forced him to sit down and answer a thousand questions about his family, his background, where he grew up, what his plans were when we finished school. He ran out of here and never looked back.â
Dean threw his arms out. âDo you really wanna date a loser like that anyway? Who canât even answer a couple questions?â
âUgh!â Emma stomped her foot and stormed out the back door.Â
Silence reigned for a moment when Emma left before Y/N turned towards Dean, giving him a tilted smile. âSo, welcome home!â She said in a would-be cheerful voice..Â
Dean sighed as he pulled her back into his arms and kissed the top of her head. They enjoyed the simple peace of each otherâs embrace for a few minutes before Y/N spoke.
âWhat happened with Gabe?â She asked.
âHe stole a gun and was gonna go shoot cans with Josh and Freddie Young.â
âWhat?â Y/N shouted, pulling back to look into Deanâs face.
He nodded. âYeah, but donât worry, I handled it. Heâs in his room till supper and heâs grounded for a week. And I talked to him about how dangerous guns were. I have more conversations planned around the subject for the near future.â
Y/N shook her head before laying it back on Deanâs chest. âGood lord.â
After a couple minutes Y/N pulled away and poured them each a cup of coffee. They settled beside each other at the wooden table and instinctively linked fingers.
Dean took a sip of coffee and sighed. âI donât really interrogate all her boyfriends, do I?â
Y/N pursed her lips. âWell, sheâs never actually had a real boyfriend. And I donât think that's because boys donât want to date her. Sheâs smart and kind, beautiful and well-liked. SoâŚâ She shrugged. âIt seems probable that the boys who like her are just too intimidated by her father - you know, the legend who fought monsters, Croats, angels, and WON - the soldier that leads the camp, wears a gun, and asks scary questions, all while donning a very good mean-face.â
Dean exhaled loudly, but before he could respond, their youngest child came bouncing into the room. She was just six years old, and looked so much like Emma at that age that it sometimes caught Dean off guard.Â
But she was definitely her own little bundle of energy. Having never known hunger or hardship, she was all bright smiles and busy excitement. It seemed as though sheâd been born smiling and simply hadn't stopped. Very little bothered her, and she was absolutely spoiled by the entire family, including their found family members in the camp.
Everyone loved Hope.
âDaddy, youâre home!â Hope shouted as she jumped into his lap.
âOof.â He grunted as she landed hard on some sensitive places. âHey sweetheart!â He said, slightly out of breath.Â
âI missed you. Mommy said you might not come home until tomorrow, but I said that you would come home quick because you like to be home and you donât like to stay away. Right?â
He nodded, trying to keep up with her racing words. âYeah, baby, I love to be home.âÂ
Before his sentence was ended Hope was on to her next thought. âI saw Emmie running out the back door and I tried to talk to her, but she looked mad. She was sitting on the tree swing in the back and I wanted a turn, so I told her to push me, but she just helped me on the swing and then she left to walk through the front yard and leave. And when I tried to follow her, she told me not to leave the yard and to go inside and see you cause you were back. So, I did.â She paused for breath before asking, âWhy was Emmie mad?â
Y/N answered. âItâs nothing sweet pea. Why donât you help me make supper? You can shuck the corn.â
Hope clapped her hands. âYes, I want to pull all the strings off.âÂ
Y/N held her daughterâs hand as she hopped off of Deanâs lap, and then leaned forward to kiss Dean slowly.Â
âEw.â Hope said, shielding her eyes as her sister had.Â
Y/N smiled against Deanâs lips and whispered to him. âGo talk to your daughter.â
Dean nodded and stood up, bending to kiss Hopeâs shiny chestnut curls on the crown of her head. âHey, promise me something short one.â He said, continuing when she looked up at him. âPromise youâll take a really long time to grow up, okay?â
She smiled at him, cheeks round and rosy. âOkay, daddy.â
He winked at Y/N who smiled indulgently. âShe promises.â
***
Dean instinctively knew where heâd find his oldest child. She coped with stress and frustration the same way he did, the way heâd taught her to.Â
He walked through the door of the garage and sure enough, there was Emma, wearing old, blue coveralls that were too big for her, and bent over the hood of the little Chevy hatchback that sat next to the Impala. He knew she heard him come in, but she didnât say anything, just kept working.Â
Dean hopped up on Babyâs hood and waited for her to be ready to talk. Eventually, she caved and looked over at him, her face slightly shuttered and a little hard to read. âHi.â She said simply.
He smiled at her. âHey kiddo.â He nodded at the open hood she was under. âHow are things looking? Still need a new oil pan?â
Emma shook her head. âNo, I replaced that last week. Risa found me one in the back of the storage shed.â
âGood.â Dean said. They were both quiet as Emma leaned back in and continued working.Â
After a moment she cleared her throat. âLooks like Iâm gonna need new brake pads though. Think we could go to Lowryâs and see what heâs got.â She asked, referring to a guy in Brisbane who collected car parts and often traded with them.
âSure. Iâll be busy for the next day or so. But we can go after that. One day after school?â He asked.
Emma nodded and stood up, wiping her hands on the rag she had stuffed in her pocket. She was quiet as she slammed the hood closed and then stepped out of the coveralls and hung them up on the hook beside the door.
She wandered over to Baby and hoisted herself up beside Dean on the hood. After a moment she leaned her head onto his shoulder. âIâm sorry I yelled at you, Dad. Iâm glad youâre home.â
Dean lifted his arm so she could snuggle closer, and then wrapped it tightly around her shoulders, squeezing her into his side.
âNo, you donât have to apologize, baby. Apparently Iâve been unconsciously scaring away the tons of boys who would otherwise be beating down our door. Though, if Iâm being completely truthful, it probably wasnât entirely unconscious. Cause I just know not a one of them is gonna be good enough for you.â
Emma chuckled. âI donât think itâs tons of boys, Daddy. And Iâm not interested in a bunch of boys. Iâm interested in Jeffery. And I really do want you to meet him. I think if you give him a chance youâd like him. Heâs really sweet and funny and justâŚâ She sighed. âI just like him.â
Dean squeezed her again and felt his chest constrict with love and bittersweet memories, remembering how she used to crawl into his lap and let him read her to sleep. Those days were long gone, but she was still that little girl to him and she probably always would be. But he knew she was growing up and he needed to loosen his grip, at least a little.
So he sighed now and nodded. âOkay, kiddo. If you like him, Iâm sure Iâll like him too. So, invite him over for dinner one evening and I swear to keep my questions to a minimum and be perfectly cordial.â
Emma laughed. âI donât know if cordial is ever a word Iâd use to describe you, Dad. Letâs just try to leave out the death stares.â
***
That evening after dinner, it was Gabe and Hopeâs turn to do dishes. Gabriel washed and Hope dried with some assistance from Dean. As they were finishing up, Keisha and Julianne showed up on their doorstep asking if Emma was free to go for a walk around camp.
Y/N nodded when Emma looked to her for permission. âThatâs fine. Be home before dark. Oh, here.â She said to the twins, grabbing a bag and passing it to them. âTake these home to your mom, it's the dress patterns she loaned me.â
Keisha went to take it, but Y/N pulled it back. âOn second thought, nevermind. Iâll bring it to her tomorrow afternoon. Gives me a reason to visit and gossip.â
The girls all laughed and then waved as they headed out the door. Dean had to smile as they walked away, their high pitched voices and giggles floating back to them on a breeze. Some things hadnât changed and he was grateful.Â
Gabe went to his room to read, since he was housebound for the next while. Hope played with some well loved and worn out dolls for a little bit before they took her to her room and put her to bed. They tucked Gabe in not long after, and then took their coffee cups out onto their little front porch and sat in one of the big Adirondack chairs that Dean and Sam had built three years ago.
Y/N settled happily into Deanâs lap, her hands cupped around her warm mug. The late spring air was soft and warm, and the sounds of the camp drifted up the hill towards them. They listened contentedly for a little while as Clifford came out of the house and flopped down on Deanâs feet.Â
They talked about the kids and they talked about the Deerling camp; they talked about Sam, and Y/N admonished Dean for teasing him about Eileen.Â
âBe nice.â She scolded. âI hope he will bring her to dinner. If he likes her, I mean.â
They talked about anything and everything, and as the sun began to set, Emma came up the path and smiled as she saw her parents cuddled together in one chair. As much as she rolled her eyes and hid her face when they started getting kissy, she loved how much they loved each other. And she knew sheâd never settle for anything less than what they had together.Â
She told them goodnight and went inside, Clifford rising slowly to follow her and sleep at the end of her bed as he did every night.
Soon the fireflies were buzzing loudly and the camp was getting quiet, so Dean stood up with Y/N still in his arms, leaving their coffee cups to sit on the porch until morning. She laughed as her husband carried her effortlessly into their bedroom.
He set her on her feet and locked the door before he buried his hands in her hair and pulled her to him, crushing her lips beneath his own. Y/N moaned softly and immediately pulled off his flannel shirt and yanked his t-shirt over his head so she could spread her hands across the wide expanse of his still beautifully muscled torso.Â
âGod I missed you.â She breathed, even though it had only been one night. âI hate when you go away.â
He smiled against her skin as he stripped her down to her bra and panties. âMissed you too, sweetheart. Promise not to go anywhere ever again.â
Y/N laughed at his impossible promise as he lifted her so she could wrap her legs around his waist. He continued kissing her as he crossed the room and lowered her to the bed. She wouldnât let go of him and pulled him down on top of her.Â
Dean chuckled at her hold on him and then mouthed his way down her body, licking and nipping at her skin. Ten years later she still had the ability to make him instantly hard and aching for her.
They spent most of the night making up for the one theyâd been apart. In the darkest part of the night they found light and life in each otherâs arms and fell asleep knowing tomorrow would dawn bright and busy - filled with responsibilities, joy, love and most of allâŚ
âŚhope.

The Introduction
A (possible) brand new series featuring Robin Buckley x Reader set in ST4
Summary: When Vecna comes to town, Robin and her friends need all the help they can get in the final battle. The gang searches for an old friend she's never met before. But what Robin didn't know, was that the help would catch her attention in more ways than one.
Word Count: 4.1k
Warnings: canon deaths (mentions of vecna killings), reader appears at the end it is mostly a set up for the series, nothing really to report here tbh
[A/N: well hello there. I have *finally* storyboarded a new series that would be an episode by episode ST4 fic where Reader and Robin are endgame. It's something new and something I've been dying to create for a while now so I wanted to test the waters and see if anyone would be interested in reading this? I will literally take one person's yes and go with it, I am very persuadable]
The Introduction
Since when was it too much to ask for a normal spring break?
Robin had enough of the excitement in Hawkins last summer when she ended up in a secret Russian lab, tortured and shot full of some serum she was sure was unsanctioned.
The horrors of that day were flushed down that bathroom toilet along with those drugs, some kind of wave of reality hitting her hard when she realised she didnât want to be alone anymore. She confided in her new friend, her closest friend, and hoped that it would end a horrible day with a weight off her shoulders.
And then she was crashing a car into a possessed guy and hurling fireworks at some freaky flesh monster. So, nothing good lasts forever.
But after that, it all had been pretty quiet. Robin worked Family Video every other evening and weekends, had Steve drive her to school for the first couple of weeks before it became a habit, secured her place in band and forgot that anything ever really happened. She didnât want to remember. She wanted to graduate, to have that silly little crush on her bandmate, to save enough money to get out of Hawkins for good.
Then the first day of spring break hit. The first day. And she was stood there staring up at that TV, feeling nauseas in her uniform, knowing that the brutal death of a high school student wouldnât be as simple as murder.
âSo we got, uh, some good news and some bad news.â Dustin says awkwardly and Robinâs lips tighten, looking at where Eddie sat munching through Honeycomb cereal like it was his first meal in days. âHow do you prefer it?â
âBad news first, always.â Eddie responds with his mouth full.
Robin shifts on her feet. It would be dishonest to say that Dustin and Max dragged her into this. All they had done really was show up demanding their computers and a name. She didnât have to help, or find the address, or go with them anywhere.
The urge to be a part of something always had been a habit of hers. The only reason she joined the marching band was because she figured sheâd be safe there. The Russian radio communication was only of interest because she craved involvement. And now she had Steve, her best friend. Where he went, she followed. Which is why she was stood here now, contemplating her decisions.
She was scared, afraid that last year would have only been the baby of all problems she would have to face in Hawkins. And it was understandable, she wasnât built for pressure situations. If anyone could take a look inside her brain, theyâd be questioning why she was even here in the first place.
She has this theory where her mind and her body act completely differently. Sheâll rethink everything until sheâs overthinking it, but her body will never not react immediately. Whether its her mouth rambling or her legs running, her mind and body havenât been in sync for a while now.
âAlright, bad news.â Dustin shifts in his seat and Robin exchanges a wary look with Steve. âWe tapped into the Hawkins PD dispatch with our Cerebro, and theyâre definitely looking for you.â
Eddieâs face falls and Robin hates seeing the way the light in his eyes dim even darker.
âAlso, theyâre, uh, pretty convinced you killed Chrissy.â
âLike, 100% kind of convinced.â Max chimes in.
âAnd the good news?â Eddie looks for Dustinâs answer but Robin spoke first.
âYour name hasnât gone public yet.â She says, resting her arm against a shelf. She really felt for him. He didnât deserve this. âBut if we found out about you, itâs a matter of time before others do, too. And once that gets out, everyone and their shallow-minded mother is gonna be gunning for you.â
âHunt the freak, right?â Eddie spits and Robin feels that little stab in her chest. Hunt the freak.
âExactly.â She says and Eddie curses under his breath.
âSo, before that happens, we need to find Vecna, kill him, and prove your innocence.â Dustin tries to bring a positive note, Eddieâs face remaining unswayed.
âThatâs all, Dustin? Thatâs all?â
âYeah, no, thatâs pretty much it.â He concludes, the older boy looking very unconvinced. Robin canât help but think that Dustin almost was as bad as she was in these situations.
âListen, Eddie, I know everything Dustin is saying sounds totally delusional, but weâve actually been through this kind of thing before. I mean, they have... a -a few times, and- and I have⌠once.â Robin adds, hoping that somewhere in her ramble there was a coherent message that he shouldnât be afraid. âMine was more human-flesh-based, and theirs was more smoke-related, but bottom line is, collectively, I really feel like we got this.â
âYeah, see, we usually rely on this girl who has super powers.â Steve follows her direction and Robin nods, âBut, uh, those went bye-bye, soâŚâ
Everyoneâs faces start to scrunch in realisation.
Robin searches for words. âSo, weâre technically in- in more of theâŚâ
âKindaâŚâ
âBrainstorming phase.â Max decides and they all hum in agreement.
âBrainstorming.â Steve snaps his fingers.
âThere⌠thereâs nothing to worry about.â Dustin splutters and Steve nods along with him.
If Eddie had been following on at all before, he was completely lost now, looking at them like they were maniacs. They tried their best, Robin thought just as a high-pitched noise started approaching in the distance. Sirens.
âTarp.â Robin immediately says, pointing to Eddie. âTarp. Tarp.â
Everyone starts scrambling to their feet and rushing to the windows, Robinâs heart rate unusually high. She hadnât even experienced what she would assume to be the worst of it yet and she was already hating every second.
Her eyes follow the police cars and the ambulances drive directly past the boathouse, further down the road. Towards the trailer park.
âTrailer park.â Steve mutters, on the same page as her.
âThey might have found something new.â Max suggests, looking at her friends in worry.
âOr someone new.â Robin grimaces and they all frown. âThe ambulance.â
âShit, okay, we need to-â Steve turns around, âHey, Eddie.â
The tarp comes flying off once again, his hair looking a little dishevelled as he still tightly hugged the cereal box.
âYou gonna be alright here?â He asks, and the boy simply shrugs.
âWeâll be back when we find out more.â Dustin promises, nodding. âWith food.â
Either he didnât mind or was too freaked out to argue, but Eddie remained impartial on their decision. It was a matter of time before theyâre all clambering into Steveâs car, following the same route the police had taken earlier.
âWhat if the place is completely cornered off and we canât see anything?â Robin voices her worry, Dustinâs eyes flickering to hers in the rear view mirror.
âItâs too early for that. Plus Max lives there, we can just say weâre dropping her off.â
The girl in question nods her head, her bottom lip stuck between her teeth.
âDoesnât look like we need to worry about that.â Steve says and everyoneâs heads turn to look ahead, focusing on a familiar girl stood among the cops, looking like she wanted to be anywhere else.
Once the car stops, their doors are opened and they all stand, patiently waiting. Even from a distance, Robin could see Nancyâs face light up with gratitude that she wasnât alone.
Just as Nancy makes an excuse to walk over, Robinâs eyes are already scanning the place, actively ignoring the sheet covering something on the ground. There was this pit in her stomach, an unsettling mix of regret and panic. Whatever they were dealing with this time, she knew it was going to take more than an array of fireworks.
They were alone now, any help shipped away to California, and she was still barely caught up with their previous battles.
Robin really didnât remember life before sitting around a picnic bench discussing freaky incidents that always seemed to link back to the Upside Down. Maybe that day in the lab had ruined her brain chemistry in a way that reduced her life before as meaningless. Or maybe her life before just wasnât any better. Either way, a police report of a dead student wasnât normally followed by a theory of some weird mind wizard from an alternate dimension. Then again, anything was possible in Hawkins.
âSo youâre saying that this thing that killed Fred and Chrissy, itâs from the Upside Down?â Nancy asks, but it wasnât the same scepticism Eddie had.
âIf the shoe fits.â Steve raises his brow with a sigh.
âOur working theory is that he attacks with a spell, or... a curse.â Dustin says, âNow, whether or not heâs doing the bidding of the Mind Flayer or just loves killing teens, we donât know.â
âAll we know is this is something different.â Max frowns. âSomething new.â
âDoesnât make sense.â Nancy mutters beside her, looking down.
âItâs only a theory.â Dustin defends but Nancy shakes her head.
âNo, Fred and Chrissy donât make sense. I mean⌠why them?â
Dustin shrugs. âMaybe they were just in the wrong place? They were both at the game.â
âAnd near the trailer park.â Max cuts in.
âWeâre at the trailer park.â Steve comments, looking around. âUh⌠should we maybe not be here?â
A shiver rolls down Robinâs neck as she peers around, the wind picking up at the worst moment. It was eerie here, even without the knowledge of two murdered kids.
âThere is something about this place.â Nancy shares, âFred started acting weird the second we got here.â
Robinâs heart jumps. âActing weird as inâŚ?â
âScared, on edge, upset.â Nancy explains, her brows permanently scrunched together.
âMax said Chrissy was upset too.â Dustin looks at her.
âYeah, but not here.â She frowns. âShe was crying in the bathroom at school.â
Robinâs mind began flittering around with theories, nonsensical ones for the most part until she pulled out something that felt comprehensible to their case.
âSerial killers stalk their prey before they strike, right?â Robin begins, forcing herself to reduce the speed of her words to ensure they were properly heard. âSo, maybe Fred and Chrissy saw this Vecman.â
âVecna.â Dustin corrects and she represses the urge to roll her eyes.
âI dunno about you guys, but if I saw some freaky wizard monster, I would mention it to someone.â Steve expresses.
âMaybe they did.â Max theorises, âI saw Chrissy leaving Ms Kelleyâs office. If you saw a monster, you⌠you wouldnât go to the police. Theyâd never believe you. But you might go to your-â
âYour shrink.â Robin finishes and the younger girl nods. âThey keep files, right? Maybe something in Chrissyâs file will point us in the right direction of who, uh⌠Vecna is.â
âItâs worth a shot.â Max says and Dustin nods.
âBut how are we meant to get it?â Steve frowns, âItâs the counsellor's office, wouldnât they be locking that thing up tight? The whole school, even.â
âI can get the key.â Max says with confidence, âMs Kelley said I could come to her house out of hours if I need it, maybe I can find where she keeps her keys and sneak out before she realises.â
Rather than question her alibi, it seemed like everyone was in agreement. They were off that bench in a second flat and following Steve to his car. Robin was trying to push away that fear of the unknown, the anxiety that they would find an answer they wouldnât like.
She always loved puzzles, brain teasers, classic crosswords. Solving that Russian broadcast was a riddle she enjoyed, assuming it would be nothing but a small summer project to cure her boredom of the ice cream slinging world. But beyond games and word scrambles, she felt completely useless.
âWoah, woah, Nance.â
Robin snaps out of her haze to turn back around, her hand still steady on the passenger door.
âNance!â Steve calls out and Nancy guiltily turns around from where she was straying from the group. âNance, where you going?â
âOh, thereâs just something I wanna check on first.â She dismisses, her footsteps still leading her back to her own car. She looked like a woman on a mission.
âSomething you maybe wanna share with the rest of us?â Dustin says and Nancy scrunches her face.
âI donât wanna waste your time, itâs a real shot in the dark.â
âYeah, okay. Are you out of your mind?â Steve expresses and Robinâs eyebrow raises. âFlying solo with this Vecna creep on the loose? No, itâs too dangerous. You need⌠you need someone toâŚâ
Thereâs a pause and Robinâs mind is already drifting when keys are suddenly being hurled at her, only catching them in the last second.
âHere. Iâll stick with Nance, alright? You guys take the car, check out the shrink.â Steve says and she blinks at the metal in her palm.
âI donât think you want me driving your car.â She points at it.
âWhy?â
âI donât have a license.â
âWhy donât you have a license?â
âIâm poor.â
âI can drive.â Max suggests and Steve is quick to protest.
âNo, no, never again. Please. Anybody but you, no.â His eyes drift to Dustinâs smile. âNo chance.â
âLook, if it helps, Iâm not gonna be alone for very long, okay?â Nancy interjects with a smile. âI⌠I need to call in a favour.â
âCall in a favour?â Steve frowns, âWho?â
Nancy purses her lips and looks down, shrugging. Robin notices Steveâs stance shifting into one she had labelled âthe annoyed babysitterâ; hands on hips, a slight furrow in the brows and a pouty lip. She had to refrain from pointing it out as she had done many times before, usually resulting in a random object thrown at her head.
âY/n.â Nancy eventually says and Steve groans.
âNo, come on. Literally anyone else.â He protests, shoulders dropping in defeat.
âWhatâs wrong with Y/n?â Dustin frowns, shaking his head.
âSheâs justâŚâ Steve sighs, not bothering to finish the sentence. Robin mouths your name, no familiar face ringing a bell.
âWhatever she is, sheâs saved our asses on multiple occasions.â Max spoke up, Dustin nodding in agreement.
âItâsâŚâ Steve starts, shaking his head. âSheâs not even in town, is she?â
âSheâs visiting her grandparents.â Nancy shrugs. âLook, we donât have time to argue about it, Iâm heading to the library.â
âAnd what if you donât make it there, huh?â Steve objects, âWhat if Y/n is busy? Do we really want to drag another person into this?â
âWe need all the help we can get.â Nancy says.
âDo we really want to drag Y/n into this?â He rephrases and Robin watches Nancyâs eyes dart away. Whoever you were, you were a sore subject it seemed. But they didnât have time to be arguing about this.
âAll right, okay. This is stupid.â Robin finally breaks, snagging the exposed radio from Dustinâs backpack and thrusting Steveâs keys back at him. âUs ladies will stick together. Unless you think we need you to protect us.â
Steve pulls a face at her and she laughs, already walking away.
âBe careful!â He shouts after her and she throws up a peace sign.
In all honesty, she was relieved to be heading to a library instead of sitting around in a silent car with her own thoughts. Anything but that.
âSo, um⌠whoâs Y/n?â Robin queries as Nancy starts up the car.
âAn old friend.â She explains briefly, waiting until the others had driven off before following them out.
âShe wasnât at Starcourt, right?â Robin frowns, repeating your name in her head over and over.
âUh, no. I donât think you wouldâve met her. She was with me and Jonathan, at the hospital, andâŚâ Her voice trailed off, lips tightening.
âAnd?â Robin prompts but Nancy simply shakes her head with a smile.
âIt doesnât matter.â
As she looked over, she could just read a hint of guilt on her expression, a hard stare on the road ahead as she turns towards the public library. Robin wasnât always the greatest at reading social cues, only when she was rambling and paying more attention on getting her thoughts out than how people were receiving them. There was something different about the way they were talking about you, however, like there was something unspoken.
The first thing Nancy did was find a phone.
Robin could just make out Nancyâs expressions in the payphone as she stood waiting by the car, her brows scrunched and mouth constantly moving. When she finally hung up, she wrapped her arms around herself and headed back to the Robin, nodding.
âSheâs meeting us in a few minutes.â She explained, and Robin figured she didnât want to talk about it any further. So, as she made a turn to the library, Robin decided on a different bugging query.
âOkay so, help me get this straight.â She starts as they climb the steps, the bell tolling above the building. She was recalling Nancyâs brief summary on the drive over. âEddieâs uncle, Wayne, thinks that Victor Creel escaped from Pennhurst Asylum and that heâs the one running around Hawkins committing all these murders?â
âPretty much.â Nancy responds with a tight-lipped smile. Robin wasnât finished.
âBut Victor committed the eyeball murders, like, way back in the â50s.â Robin frowns and Nancy pulls open the door.
âWell, â59.â She says.
âSo, that means these murders predate Eleven in the Upside Down by about 30 years?â She continued as they walk up to the librarianâs desk.
âYeah.â Nancy responds bluntly.
âWhich makes spooky Victor Creel like 70 years old.â
âYep.â She reaches out and dings the bell.
âSoâŚâ Robin keeps talking, occupying her brain with this theory so she didnât have to worry about anything else. âHeâs a grandpa murderer who can turn invisible and lift people into the air.â
Nancy takes a breath. âIt doesnât make sense. I know. Thatâs why I said it was a shot in the dark.â
She rings the bell again and, once again, Robin doesnât catch the hint Nancyâs throwing her way.
âI know. I just thought that by âshot in the darkâ you were being modest or hiding something super solid up your sleeve that you were gonna wow us with later.â
Nancy rings the bell twice this time but Robin barely registers it.
âBut this is really, truly a shot in the dark. Like, we are snipers with blindfolds on whoâve been spun around 50 times.â
She starts ringing the bell rapidly and Robin looks down at it with a frown, finally realising sheâs yet again talked too much.
âComing!â The librarian calls out, carrying a stack of books.
âHi, sorry, weâre in a bit of a rush.â Nancy smiles apologetically at her, âCould we get the keys to the basement archives?â
âOf course. Give me one sec.â The woman nods, turning away.
Robin stares down at her hands before the anxiety takes over.
âDid I come off mean or condescending or something?â She blurts and Nancy hesitates.
âNo.â
âRight.â Robin sighs, still staring at her, âSorry. Itâs just, you seem annoyed. You donât know me very well. I donât really have a filter or a strong grasp of social cues.â
âOkay.â Nancy whispers.
âSo if I say something that upsets you, just know that I know itâs a flaw. Believe me, my mother reminds me daily.â
Nancy nods quickly, pretending to be interested. âGot it.â
âAlright, ladies.â The librarian returns with a smile, holding out a set of keys. âHere you go. Have fun.â
âYep.â Nancy accepts them, forcing a smile. âWeâll⌠try.â
She starts walking away while Robin remains there frozen, earning a grin from the woman opposite. Robin simply shrugs and begrudgingly follows Nancy.
The archive room was⌠dusty. A little too dusty to Robinâs liking. Everything was old and smelt weird. Nancy starting looking over some books, inspecting the covers before spotting the Microfilm Readers.
âWe should probably get a start while we wait for Y/n.â Nancy says, sitting at the machine and Robin hesitantly leans against it, pursing her lips. Nancy notices and looks up at her, already anticipating another ramble. âYes?â
âSo⌠Y/n?â Robin holds out her hands, âI donât want to keep being nosy but, uh⌠how does she fit into all of this?â
Nancy reluctantly turns towards her with a smile. âSheâs been a part of our, uh, group for a while now. Since Will was possessed.â
Robin blinks. âRight.â
âShe was the one who figured out heat was their weakness â the things that live in the Upside Down. Iâve known her since we were kids and sheâs always been amazing atâŚâ Nancy searches for a term, âDetective stuff.â
âDetective stuff, right.â Robin nods and Nancy slowly turns back to what she was doing. âSo, likeâŚâ
Nancy sighs and Robin shuts her mouth.
âSorry, Iâll shut up.â She raises her hands in surrender and Nancy scrunches her face.
âNo, Iâm sorry. Itâs just⌠I havenât seen her in a while so I⌠Iâm not trying to be rude, thereâs just a lot going on.â She explains apologetically, surrendering her attempt at scrolling through the machine. âI canât believe Iâm dragging her into this.â
âWhy are you?â Robin asks genuinely and Nancy tilts her head in contemplation.
âShe did a project a few years back on the Creels.â Nancy begins, resting her chin on her hand. âShe was researching into small town murders. Y/n was obsessed with the unexplained ones. She likes uncovering truths, solving the mystery. I donât remember how far she got with this but sheâll have more than enough information to get us started.â
âRight, right.â Robin slowly nods, thinking it all over. You werenât the new addition she assumed you would be. In fact, she was the only one here who was really new to everything.âShould I be here?â
âSorry?â Nancy frowns.
âI mean, it sounds like you two are pretty close. And I- I donât want to ruin the reunion or whatever, I donât even know how to- I suck at meeting new people, basically.â Robin stresses, holding up her hand when Nancy tries to protest, âI already know. Everyone I meet pretty much hates me from the get go. Iâm already ruining it with you and weâve literally met before. Briefly. But still, I- I donât know this Y/n and I donât want to annoy her out of helping you-â
âRobin.â Nancy laughs, âItâs fine. Y/n isnât like that. To be honest⌠youâll probably get along.â
âWhat does that-â
Her words are cut off by the sound of the door opening and slamming shut, the wooden steps creaking beneath the weight of descending footsteps. They both whip their heads to the noise to see someone stood there with a folder in their hands.
âGot here as fast as I could.â You say, letting out a breath and smiling Nancy. You quickly notice the girl standing beside her with a startled look on her face. âOh, sorry, I didnât mean to interrupt.â
âNo, you- we were, just- Iâm Robin.â She stuttered, her face flushing with embarrassment before she turns away from you. Calm down, she begs herself.
Nancy looks at her in confusion, âAre you-â
âIâm good.â She insists and Nancy shakes her head, getting up from her seat.
âHi, Y/n.â She smiles, walking over to you. âThank you for coming.â
âOf course.â You say, but your heart didnât really feel in it. âI brought the project you wanted. Itâs got the newspaper reports from the original killings. If thatâs of any help.â
âIt is, thank you so much.â Nancy takes it from your hands and starts flipping through, carefully reading each of your headings and findings.
You shift on your feet before glancing at Robin, her eyes widening slightly when you look at her.
âIâm Y/n.â You offer and she nods quickly.
âYeah, I, uh, I know.â She laughs awkwardly, âNice to put a face to the name.â
An incredibly gorgeous face, Robin screams inside. Of all the problems she was facing today, this shouldnât be one of them. Monsters, Russians, that was pretty much up her alley right now. Sudden introductions of pretty girls that literally took her breath away? Not on her bingo card.
Robin noticed the tension in the air between you and Nancy, that same unspoken theory recycling in her mind. What happened last year? Why werenât you there at Starcourt? Why were you back?
She didnât really know if she would regret knowing the answers. All she knew was that you had been here all of two minutes and Robin already felt like you were going to change her life.
Because, you were. In more ways than one.

chapter 2
For some reason unknown to you, it hadn't taken James as long as usual to give you any sign that he still remembered your existence after being with you. Surprisingly, on the same day after dropping you off at home and rushing to be with his girlfriend, he sent you a message through his patronus (much too recklessly as you lived in a majorly muggle neighbourhood), apologizing for what had happened.
Normally, you would believe his words, and then become disappointed. However, after what happened, you didn't believe anything he said, you knew he wasn't sorry and you knew you probably wouldn't be seeing him for a while.
All you felt like doing was laying down, still feeling completely shaken, disappointed, angry... Betrayed, and it took you a while to stop crying, you couldn't believe how easy it was to manipulate you, two days together and you actually started to think things were changing.
Ingenuity or just the hard truth: It was easier to let yourself believe it.
Luckily, or not, you still had your commitment to your responsibilities, if not your pride, you would try to maintain that instead, so the best decision was to get yourself together as best as you could the next day and go to work.
Even though you lived mostly among muggles, a decision you had made long before graduating Hogwarts, you still ended up in a Ministry job, an obliviator. Not the most glamorous, and a lot of times you thought about getting a muggle job, but years went on and you got comfortable with it. Sometimes being able to forget is the best option there is.
So got yourself together you did, the best as you could included showing up office ready and giving off the obvious energy that you did not want to be perturbed, especially after taking the tube half an hour later than you normally would, too loud, too full, it was probably one of the few times over the last years you wished you could just apparate in front of the right phone cabin. But an obliviator risking wizarding secrecy would be too much of an hypocrisy.
You made sure you wouldn't be making any field work, taking the liberty to be shut in your office filling paperwork and crying, as any mature woman would if they were in your shoes: Exhausted from hating yourself because you knew you were an excellent witch, a strong-willed independent woman and still, every time James Potter smiled at you, you felt nothing but weakness.
And there it was, the weakness as soon as you left the Ministry building and felt his gaze upon you, simply leaning against the wall, his arms crossed, his face completely relaxed.
Your hands went straight to your eyes, reminding yourself of their appearance, you looked up at the sky for a few seconds and wondered if there was a god, because it didn't matter how much you begged either Merlin or Godric, you still didn't get one single moment of peace.
"Were you crying?" he asked straight away, without even explaining why he was there. You shook your head denying it and found refuge for eyes on your feet. "You're a terrible liar."
"I don't think you know me that well anymore," you sighed and tried your best to look at him firmly. "No car today?"
"I don't indulge on those very often, apparition is still a thing, you know?" You tried your very best not to roll your eyes at the arrogance he displayed, favoring instead the idea that he had the car for the weekend to please you. "You ignored my patronus, I feel like you probably didn't even check your mail, my poor owl working over time for nothing, and you're the only witch I know who doesn't have a bloody fireplace. Kinda got worried that you were mad at me." His lips formed the pout you knew so well, and you had to bite you lips to prevent yourself from smiling.
"Not having the fireplace goes hand in hand with the anti-apparition charm on my apartment." You shrugged, it was a way to avoid unwanted guests, so he pretended to be the upmost offended by that. You closed your eyes and took a deep breath, trying to concentrate on the reasons why you were angry with him. "We need to talk."
"We can do that in your apartment. Let's talk there." He nodded, and you agreed. It wasn't something to discuss so close to where you worked, for sure. He offered his arm so you would apparate together and you ignored it completely, stretching your arm to the street to get a minicab to stop for you both.
"I'm not risking magic exposure and being fired because you rarely indulge on cars, Potter." Weirdly enough he doesn't try to convince you otherwise, getting on the backseat with you.
On the way he told you he had been waiting for you for at least forty minutes, which you weren't sure was even true, but on any other day you would've swooned over, but his true intentions showing up came to light so quickly, you couldn't. James kept touching your thigh with his right hand slowly, teasingly, and a pantsuit was never as helpful as then, because of it you could ignore his touches or at least pretend to ignore it.
Despite the touches, James maintained a casual conversation with you, talking about trivialities from his day, like forgetting to take his vitamin supplement in the morning and running less that afternoon so he could get home in time to take a shower and pick you up. At least that was the term he used, even though you were in a cab.
You enjoyed having conversations like that with him, knowing how his day had been and how he felt about the team, the training sessions... It brought a sense of normality, as if you were just an ordinary couple talking about everything or just friends talking about your lives. But at that moment, you couldn't enjoy it the way you normally would due to what still lingered on your mind from the previous night, not to mention the fact that the words coming out of his mouth sounded innocent, but his eyes and hands overflowed with nothing but.
You felt like you were under torture, the rational part of your brain competing with your emotional part, which was shaken by any touch from James, any scraps of attention. You even felt relief when you arrived at your building, especially because there were other people in the elevator, preventing him from grabbing you there and making you forget everything you so wanted to tell him. But it didn't last long. As soon as you reached your floor, you were grabbed from behind, his hands firm on your waist while his lips roamed your neck.
"James, we need to talk," you repeated what said before, freeing yourself from his arms and walking towards the door. You unlocked it with a silent charm and left the door open for him to enter next.
"Talk about what?" You heard the question, but his tone showed no interest in talking. In fact, he pulls you by the arm and pushes you against the nearest wall, trapping you with his arms. you lost your breath for a few seconds due to the proximity. "We can talk later," James whispers in your ear, brushing his lips softly against yours, one of his hands touching your waist under your blouse. You almost lose it, but finds the strength to get out of his embrace and leave to the kitchen.
"I want to talk about us," you said seriously, resolute in your decision to give him an ultimatum, tired of being the mistress, but you couldn't deny that after his teasing, you just wanted to wrap your legs around his waist and hear him say your name in between moans.
"Brilliant, let's talk," James begins, slowly moving closer to you. "But we could just go to your room and enjoy our time in a more pleasurable way."
You feel his hands again grabbing you around the waist, and his lips brushed lightly against your ear as he detailed all the other pleasurable things he could be doing to you.
You give up, defeated, letting out a grunt and pulling him to you, starting a desperate kiss as he takes off your pantsuit and leads you stumbling back to your bed.
It was late at night, almost two in the morning, when the noise woke you up, almost frightened as you had no idea what it could be at that time. your first instinct was to obviously grab your wand and go to the living room, ready to disarm or worse if it was an intruder, but you noticed that it someone knocking frantically on your door.
"Who is it?" you asked loud and clear, assuming it was a stranger trying to pull some kind of scam, you've heard of cases like that happening around the muggle neighbourhoods, the knocking then stopped and you thought you had scared away whoever was there, but you were wrong.
"It's meâŚ" The voice was familiar, but you doubted it was who the voice reminded you of, so you waited for more before you decided or not to open it. "James." You froze and held you breath, but still denying mentally that it could be him.
"James? Need to be more specific."
"Don't remember me anymore?" It was him, surely. James Potter. You hadn't seen him since the turn of the previous year, but truthfully, you hadn't really spoken to him in years, you couldn't even imagine how in hell had he found your address. "Potter."
"What you doing here?" You open the door, giving him the space he needed to enter and smelling the alcohol invading your apartment. "It's two in the morning."
"Not sureâŚ" He seemed a bit disoriented, obviously because of the alcohol, but he wasn't about to fall over drunk and you mentally thanked him for that. "Was in a pub having a few, but they closedâŚKept thinking about you and here I am."
A shiver ran through your whole body and you cussed yourself, it was pathetic how he could still cause such a thing so many years after your relationship, after your last kiss, unfortunately you had never really managed to forget him, but instead you hid him deep in your memories, that way you wouldn't have to deal with your true feelings for him when you saw each other at a mutual friend's house or anything of the sort.
But still, you did to this day found yourself thinking about him at times, but that didn't help you understand why he would be there at such a time, or why he would be thinking about you when in fact the only reason you had left his life was because of him, because if he wasn't such a dick, you might still be in a relationship today, or at least be best friends like you used to be.
"Know whatâŚ" Even though you haven't responded to anything he's said before, he sits down on your sofa awkwardly and you feel completely uncomfortable with the situation, crossing your arms, unable to move more than that. "I'm such a twat." James lets out a weak laugh of discontent. "Letting you go that day⌠Mum told me what happened, but I still didn't look for you." It was amazing how he could form sentences almost perfectly even though he stank of alcohol miles away.
"James, what do you want?" you sigh, still not understanding anything that's going on. He simply gets up and walks towards you, making you instinctively move away until you reach the end of the line, one of the walls of the living room. "Potter?"
"I want things between us to go back to normal." His perfume takes you over as he gets closer, replacing the smell of firewhiskey, and you try not to get dizzy. "Just want you." Panic is your first reaction as his lips come close to yours and you push him away.
"You have a girlfriend." You look into his eyes, being as serious as possible without showing how tempted you were, making exaggerated gestures with your hands to show him how wrong it was.
"Shh, forget it, just f'now. I'll fix it, swear I'll fix everything." You soften at his words and sigh, you're probably losing your mind but still you walk towards him with your arms open for a hug and he immediately finds himself taking the chance.
"Missed you." Your voice nothing but a whisper and James nods in response, stroking your hair.
The affectionate embrace evolves quickly into a quiet kiss that becomes more and more desperate and before you know it, you're both on the sofa, blending into one.
You woke up the next day feeling partially satisfied, but guilt consumed you entirely, you had slept with a committed guy, what kind of woman were you? And not only that⌠What would James and you be from then on?
"Bloody hell." And there you were, waking up after given in to James' charms again, just like the first time, just like every time after that, it was frustrating how much power he held over you, you couldn't take it anymore, you were done.

wedding day hcs plss đŤśđžđŤśđžđŤśđž
AAAAAAsladjfslkjdf butterflies
men and minors dni
you guys are gonna laugh but sevika's a bridezilla. i'm not joking.
like you would think she'd be all chill and let you take the reins with the planning, but she doesn't. she's all over that shit.
silco's her best man, obviously. he's just as involved and worried about the big day as she is.
every weekend between the proposal to the wedding, you, silco and sevika can be found flipping through bridal magazines or tasting cakes or visiting venues. you usually just chill and let silco and sev make all the big decisions.
it's cute that she's so involved, but sometimes she stresses herself out.
two months before the wedding, the caterer's chef has a heart attack, so they have to cancel all their future jobs until he's better. sevika's freaking out, pacing a circle into the carpet and tugging on her hair.
"sev, it's okay, honey. we got two months to figure it out." you say as you wrap her up into a hug. she lets out a loud sigh against your shoulder as she wraps her arms around you. "talk to me." you whisper against her head. she huffs.
"i just... i never thought i'd get to have this. i thought if i ever got married it'd be to commit tax fraud or something. and now i have you. and you're perfect. and i get to have you forever and that's perfect... you're the love of my life... and i want it to be perfect." she says.
"it'll be perfect." you say, pressing a kiss against her lips. "it's us, sevika. so long as we get the 'i do's out it'll be the best day of my life." she snorts.
"even if there's no food?"
"even if the whole venue catches on fire baby. 's long as i got you i'm happy." you promise her.
when the big day comes, silco finds you in your dressing room.
"you look marvelous." he says. you jump at his sudden appearance but wrap him up in a hug.
"thank you." you say. he kisses your cheek then pulls away from you to look you in the eye, a grimace on his face. you chuckle. "she's freaking out?" you ask. silco nods as he lets out a breath.
"come with me." he says, leading you down the halls.
when you arrive at her dressing room and knock on her door asking to come in, you hear a crash from inside.
"groom's not supposed to see the bride before the wedding!" she insists on the other side of the door. you chuckle and push the door open.
"it's a good thing we're both brides then." you say as you walk into her room.
she's pacing in a circle again, but she stops the second her eyes land on you. "fuck." she gasps.
you nod. you're having a very similar reaction. sevika's wearing a tailored white suit with a black button up beneath it, unbuttoned halfway down her chest to show just an inch of her cleavage.
the two of you admire each other for a few moments, before quickly falling into each other's arms.
"hi." you whisper against her as you wrap your hands around her waist. she sighs against you.
"hi." she says.
"silco says you're freaking out." you tell her. she chuckles.
"kinda."
"second thoughts?" you ask.
"no!" she says, pulling away from you to look down at you. "no, baby, never." she insists. you giggle.
"so what is it?" you ask. sevika sighs.
"you're gonna laugh." she grunts. you grin.
"probably. i promise to still marry you, though." you say. she rolls her eyes.
"i don't have my somethin' blue." she mumbles. you blink up at her.
"what?"
"you know. somethin' old, somethin' new, somethin' borrowed, somethin' blue." she says. you chuckle and nod in understanding. "i got my old." she says, gesturing to her trusty black choker around her neck. "and my something new." she says as she fiddles with the gold cuff links you'd gifted her a few nights before. "silco let me borrow this." sevika says, gesturing to the gold watch on her wrist. "but i don't have anything blue." she finishes.
you giggle.
"what?" she asks, pouting. you smile.
"turn around." you say. sevika blinks at you and you raise an eyebrow at her. she turns around with a sigh, her back to you. you giggle as you hitch your dress up around your waist and shimmy your panties off. you drop your dress and smooth out any wrinkles before gently tucking your lacy blue thong into sevika's back pocket. you turn her back around in her arms. "there. now you got somethin' blue." you say. she blinks.
"what is it?" she asks. you smile.
"don't look yet. it's a surprise." you say as you press a kiss to her cheek. "you feel better?" you ask. sevika nods and swoops in to kiss you once more. you chuckle against her lips and push her back, cleaning up her smudged lipstick with your thumb. "i'll see you down the aisle." you whisper. she grins.
"can't wait."
sevika cries at the altar.
she cries when you walk down the asile toward her, and she cries even harder when you finally reach her and she sees the tears in your own eyes.
throughout the whole ceremony, she cries.
she cries when jinx delivers the rings-- even gives the kid a loving noogie.
she cries when you exchange vows, lovingly nuzzling into your hands as your thumbs gently wipe the tears away from her cheeks.
she only stops crying when she can finally kiss you, dipping you at the waist as her hands wrap around your body, licking into your mouth as the crowd erupts in applause and wolf whistles.
you're both grinning when it's time to walk down the aisle as mrs. and mrs.
sevika's so excited that she scoops you up bridal style and carries you all the way back down the aisle, pressing kisses against you anywhere she can reach.
she carries you all the way to her dressing room, where she tosses you on the sofa and dives on top of you. "i looked. i'm sorry." she whispers. you giggle beneath her.
"good something blue?" you ask. she grins above you.
"very good. are you gonna kill me if i consummate our marriage right now?" she asks. "we've got twenty minutes before we gotta get to the reception." she says, waggling her eyebrows salaciously. you giggle beneath her.
"i think i'd kill you if you didn't, baby." you say, before you pull her down for a kiss.

Hello! :)
How would your main 10 skeletons react if their child was chosen for a main role in a play/dance and have been practicing for over a year for the role only to be replaced and not have a role at all?
This actually happened to me when I was taking dance :(
Hope you have a nice day/night!
Undertale Sans - He's sad for his kid, but that happens. It's alright though. If Sans has one weakness, it's clearly not bear to see his family sad. Not only he's going to find you another role, but it will be ten times better than the one you had. He didn't hesitate one second to use Mettaton to have access to some cool opportunities.
Undertale Papyrus - He's so mad they ditched you like this. It's maybe touching him a little more than it should be as well as he used to get ditched from everything as a kid. He still assures you it has nothing to do with your skills and that he's sure you'll find another opportunity soon. Not two days later, he convinces Mettaton to hire you. Being an international star is way better than some role in your school.
Underswap Sans - That's life, kiddo. It's unfair, but it happens often. Blue tries to comfort them the best he can, but he can tell you're disappointed. It's ok though, you can still use what you learn to try somewhere else. He believes in you, he's sure you can find a better opportunity!
Underswap Papyrus - He's so mad at your teacher for just ditching you for no reason. It's unfair, and you clearly wanted to participate a lot. After trying to beg your cause at the school, he's involving some local journalists to make everyone realize how stupid they are to not accept their daughter! He wins in the end and you get your role back.
Underfell Sans - He tells his kid that they didn't deserve them anyway because they're too good for their shitty show. Red is so gonna hack the show to put videos of you training in the middle of the dance performance so everyone sees what they lost. He doesn't care if he gets into trouble. Not his fault you're all jealous.
Underfell Papyrus - He goes full Karen mode and he's storming the dance class to say what he thinks of that bullshit decision. He pays for lessons for his child all year, he even buys them private sessions. Either you pay him back or he's suing you, and oh boy, you don't want him to sue you when he's the best lawyer in the city. Either you give back their child's role or you're going in prison for stealing his money.
Horrortale Sans - He feels guilty. He can tell that's because the kids are scared of him when he's coming to take you home at the end of your classes. You tell him it's not his fault they're racist bitches and that you prefer to leave than support their anti-monster bullshit anyway. He's so proud of you. He's going to help you find another role though. He wants to help.
Horrortale Papyrus - He can tell immediately it's because he's scary and the other parents complained. But that's not going to happen. There's no way you're dropping your dream role for some racist idiots. He's going to tell them what he thinks of this, and of how ashame they should be for showing such an example for the young generation. He casually threatens to sue them for discriminating his child as well because it's what it is: discrimination for being a monster. He's not going to tolerate this. That's ten years since the monsters are out of the Underground, get over it already!
Swapfell Sans - That's fine, he simply pays the class director and tells them nicely that if they keep causing trouble for his child, he's closing their business definitely. The director screams at him for trying to buy privileges. The next day, the building mysteriously explodes during the night. How could that happen? O:
Swapfell Papyrus - That's fine. When you're down, nothing is better than a little revenge. You spend the night throwing dog poop and eggs at every window of the building lol. Rus switches on every faucet of the building too and let them run the entire weekend. Someone is going to have a surprise on Monday. And a water tax so high they're going to faint. That's for the money he lost in their stupid school. He's going to find another role for his kid after that.
Fellswap Gold Sans - Oh, it's fine. He simply goes to see your teacher and gives them the scare of their life by threatening them with his bones and blasters. Either you give their role to their kid or... Well, you don't really want to know what can happen, right? :)
Fellswap Gold Papyrus - He's disgusted your school would do something so lame after such a long time training. He assures you you're a good dancer though and that they're losing more than you, because you're clearly going to find something better and make them all jealous. When you find a new role, he's sticking posters of your show everywhere on and inside your old school so they all see what they missed.

Description: Things were different this time around.
Pairings: Lando Norris x Verstappen!reader
Warnings: none! actually, my dutch might be a liiiiiittle off so sorry about that, at least i tried :)
A/N: hello! hi! my writing style has DRASTICALLY changed so this fic is like 10x better quality than the other two so... oops. Maybe i'll rewrite them one day, maybe not. we'll see.
but for now- enjoy and thank you for reading <3
Part 1 , Part 2
A week had gone by since you and Max had your falling out, he had texted you but you had ignored them all by leaving him on read or just archiving the chat so that his name wouldnât be on your screen every time you opened your phone.
You were deeply hurt by Maxâs actions, not just because of the yelling, but because he accused you of lying. It hurt because he was your twin brother, literally your other half, he was your best friend and you know everything about each other (yes, everything). How he could accuse you of lying to him so easily just baffles you.
The thing isâ Max knows how you feel about your father, he knows why you never initiate any sort of communication from your side with him, even though heâs at nearly every race weekend. Youâve accepted the fact that Max will always worship your father and you respect his decision not to completely cut him off, but you spoke with him about this and he knows to keep Jos away from you.
You sit on Landoâs couch, swimming in your thoughts as you stare at a message from Kelly, this was the first text she has sent you all week, not wanting to get between you and your brotherâs drama. You sigh, locking your phone and tossing it to the side.
âHey,â Lando speaks up as he walks into the apartment, looking sweaty and disheveled from his workout. You had to physically restrain yourself from not jumping on top of him. Things have been mostly normal between the two of you, the only thing thatâs changed is that you arenât dating anymore. You donât sleep in his bed, you don't kiss or have sex or cuddle when you watch movies. Youâve been sleeping in the guest room since that night you showed up at his doorstep in tears.
âHey,â you respond, shooting him a soft smile. âHow was the workout?â You question, watching him as he refills his water bottle and taking a few sips. âIt was alright, fucking hot but it was alright.â He flops down next to you on the couch, letting out a huff of air.
âHeard anything from Max?â he questions, looking over at you. You roll your eyes, âWhat do you think? Even Kelly is texting me now. Says heâs been quiet,â You shrug, shifting to cross your legs. Lando looks over at you, âHe was at the gym, when I got there. He looks like shit, honestly. He did try talking to me, but I ignored him. I was sure he was almost in tears when I walked off.â His expression is neutral as he speaks, wanting to gauge your answer.
âGood.â Is all you say in response. Yeah, you feel bad for making your brother (who doesnât like to get emotional) cry, but he had yelled at you and sent you into a full blown panic attack. He deserved to be upset. He deserved to be worried.
âY/Nââ Lando starts, but you cut him off by lifting your hand to silence him. âI am planning on going back to his place anyway, tomorrow. Heâll survive one more night.â
Lando just nods, before getting up. âIâm going to hop in the shower. Do you⌠want to talk after Iâm done?â he questions, you just nod, âYeah, we should talk, properly, I guess.â
He nods silently before making his way over to his bedroom and closing the door.
You shouldnât. You really shouldnât.
But you do it anyway.
You jump up from the couch, running over to his room before opening the door, not bothering to knock. Lando lets out a surprised scream, standing in only his white boxers, trying to desperately cover himself up. âY/N!? What are youââ
You cut him off with a kiss, smashing your lips together roughly, he instantly kisses back, his hands finding their way to your waist. You pull back after a moment, breathless and red-lipped from the kissing. You look into his eyes, those gentle blue-green eyes you fell in love with when you first looked at him.
âThis is not me fully forgiving you⌠we need toâ we need to discuss a few things still, but this is me telling you I still love you, I still want to be with you andâ and I do love you, I still love you, I never stopped, Lando, But ifâ if we want us to work out, we canât hide anymore, I donât want to hide anymore. I want to kiss you in the paddock and sit in your garage, I want to hold your hand in public, I want to be known as your girlfriend.â Your words come out shaky, a few tears running down your face.
Lando nods rapidly, âYes, yes anything you want, baby, anything. I wonât lose you again, I wonât. Iâm so sorry, so so sorry.â He pulls you into a tight hug which you reciprocate immediately. You feel so safe with him. Your heart is his, it always has been.
âDo you⌠want to join me in the shower?â Lando asks, unsure of where your boundaries are set at this point in time. Itâs not like heâs never seen you naked so you shrug, before pulling your top off.
âWhy not,â You smile, taking his hand and dragging him into the bathroom.
â
The next day, Lando drives you back to your brother's place, parking in the driveway. You turn to him, kissing his cheek softly. âI think itâs better if i do this alone, okay? I will text you.â
Lando nods, giving you a reassuring smile. âYou can do this, I love you.â
âI love you too.â You kiss him again quickly before walking to the front door and letting yourself in. Before you can even step a foot into the house you are nearly tackled to the ground by a little figure.
âY/N!!!!!!â The little girl screeches, trying to practically climb her way up into your arms. âHey sweet P!â You plaster on a smile, picking her up and hugging her tightly. God, you loved this little girl so much. âMissed you,â She mumbles into your neck and you can't help the sting you feel in your chest. You didn't think about her when you left, usually she would see you at least once or twice every week, your chest stings thinking about how she was probably waiting for you to visit but you never came.
âI missed you too,â You kiss her cheek as you make your way to the living room, where you found your brother, yelling into his headphones at whoever he was playing with.
You move so that you're in his field of vision, still cradling P against your chest. His head snaps up when he sees you.
âY/NâŚâ Max looks surprised to see you.
You place P down gently, âGo play upstairs and I will come play with you okay?â You smile brightly at the little girl who nods vigorously, making a beeline for the stairs.
âDo not run up the stairs Penelope!â Max yells after her, turning back to you before placing his controller down.
"Y/NâŚâ He starts again but you shake your head, effectively cutting him off. âI do not want your excuses. Ik verdiende niet wat je me hebt aangedaan.â I did not deserve what you did to me.
Max looks down at his hands. âJij bezit my niet,â You don't own me. You growled, feeling the same kind of anger you felt just a week prior. âYou are my brother and that is it, I can do with my life what I want. You don't get to yell at me like Dad used to, you don't get to yell at me and expect me to justââ you vaguely gesture with your hands, ââ crack and tell you everything.â
âEn Max, hoe durf je me te beschuldigen van liegen!â And Max, how dare you accuse me of lying! Your voice came out as a low, calm growl. You take a deep breath, trying not to fucking combust on the spot.
Max is silent, but nods.
âDid you⌠did you⌠did youâŚhave a panic attack? When you left?â He asks after a beat of silence, his eyes brimmed with tears. You know your brother isn't a crier, so this is hurting him just as much as it's hurting you. Itâs gone too far.
"Yeah... I went straight to Lando's... I couldn'tâ" You shut your eyes, squeezing them together in an attempt to stop the tears. It's all become too much. It's all been blown way out of proportion.
You let your boyfriend and Maxâs best friend get in the way of your relationship you have with your brother. The special bond you two had, has been damaged because of some stupid boy. You both were blinded, Max was blinded by his protectiveness of you and you were blinded by your loyalty to Lando.
You sigh, moving across the room to sit down next to him. You lay your head on his shoulder. âWhy did you say I lied to you⌠I have never ever lied to you, Max.â Your voice was laced with pure hurt, your heart breaking from the beginning just thinking of Max accusing you of lying.
âI was just angry, Y/N. He promised to not hurt you and he did, he did hurt you and I was just so fucking angry, I could not believe you were defending himâŚâ
Silence fell upon the room again, the only sound that could be heard was the rhythmic sniffling coming from you and Max. He laid his head against yours.
âJe leek zoveel op papa op dat moment. It was so scary, Max.â You looked so much like Dad in that moment. You let out a sob that you've been trying to suppress. Your brothersâ arm wraps around your shoulder's protectively.
âHet spijt me, Y/N, vergeef me alsjeblieft,â I am so sorry, Y/N, please forgive me. Max looks over to you, and all you can do is nod. It wouldn't help anyone if you just stayed angry, and you were exhausted anyways.
You just wanted things to go back to normal.
And slowly but surely they did, you had eventually moved back in with Lando, your relationship had slowly but surely gotten back to where it was, perhaps even better than it was. Max had been trying his best to not be overbearing, giving you space and trying not to play the role of an overprotective brother who gives his sister no freedom.
There was definitely still some tension between Max and Lando, Max still didn't fully trust him with you after everything, but things were different now. The public knew about your relationship now, girls no longer flung themselves at your boyfriend, touching him and feeling him up and down at every opportunity thinking heâs single. Lando had been working on proving himself, that heâs changed, that he's loyal to you and only you.
Things were different this time around.
Things have been good.
Things will get even better.
You can't wait to see what the future holds.

okay, lemme just say: Gil-galad, who hated being the king Gil-galad, who had never wanted to be the king in the first place Gil-galad, who was crowned anyway, because there were hardly any finweans left around and the noldor in Beleriand needed a king, just so they can hold onto something, have some semblances of normality in the apocalyptic post-nirnaeth time Gil-galad, who became the high king when he was only 13/14 if we convert to human years, who was barely able to hold back tears in front of crowds as the crown was being placed upon his head Gil-galad, who had been raised by CĂrdan on Balar, among Teleri, and now he was the number 1 person in a culture that he didn't even feel like was truly his. A culture that so far he had only been taught about, had never participated in. Gil-galad, who politically hardly ever got to make his own decisions, whose role as the king was mostly limited to signing up whatever the parliament needed to validate and who was ascribed the blame whenever an idea backfired Gil-galad, who always wished he could've just lived a simple life on Balar, alongside Teleri, worked on a fishing boat and stuff like that, but instead he was manoeuvred into politics and bureaucracy, and an office that everyone at this point already knew was cursed, overall an enormous amount of responsibility, when he was basically still a child Gil-galad who was handling it all quite well until the third kinslaying happened Gil-galad, who was something like 15/16 in human years when the third kinslaying happened, who then had to face the reality of his reign, which was: he held little to no power. He was just a teenager, put on a throne, so the noldorin power in beleriand didn't seem to be crumbling as badly as it actually was. And he definitely wasn't able to protect his people Gil-galad, who was still doing his best after the third kinslaying, but also he started turning completely self-destructive in his free time. Like, there wasn't a single weekend he wouldn't spend at some party, drinking until he blacked out, taking whatever drugs he could get, getting involved in all kinds of reckless/precarious sexual behaviours Gil-galad, who just wanted someone to show up and take over the kingship , but was aware that all hopes for it had been wiped out when the feanorians attacked Sirion. That any hopes were gone along with Eärendil and his little sons. Gil-galad, whose role was mostly representative, so he had to be present at all kinds of events, no excuses. ,,What do you mean you need a day off? You're the king, ffs!!! Get your hangovered ass over there, it's not like you're going to work'' It pretty much resulted in young Gil-galad quite often showing up in public hangovered/ still lightly drunk/drugged/ overall messy af. And aside from the toll it took on his reputation, like- the king who has some serious troubles with substance abuse is probably easy to be influenced on many matters; it's also the fact that he was crowned to raise the morale among noldor, to message: ,,Look, we still have a king, it's not that bad!" How does it impact the Noldor when they repeatedly see their king barely able to stand upright or retching in some darkened corner? Not well, to say the least. Gil-galad, who felt trapped by the kingship. Gil-galad, who knew there was no way out of it for him, other than by suffering a painful death like basically every one of his predecessors Gil-galad who was being self-destructive and he didn't care about getting hurt because ,,hey, I have no control over my own life anyways :)))'' but also Gil-galad, who grew out of his teenage years and in his early adulthood had some ,,I can't keep living like this" moments , especially after waking up somewhere on the cold ground, feeling like shit and covered in vomit and all other kinds of fluids either his own or someone else's or both
Gil-galad who was in his early twenties (again, converted to human years) and decided to get his life together, because if he's trapped anyway, he can as well try to make it a little less horrible for himself
Gil-galad, who had maybe never got quite the amount of support he needed from CĂrdan, but CĂrdan had definitely taught him a lot and enough for him to be able to get by in life and politics

I just wanna say that you defending Checo is the best part of my day.
This whole situation is tiring and I really would love for RBR to finally make some official decisions because I have had enough of all the speculations and people saying Sergio will be out even though he has a contract and he said multiple times he will be back after the break.
I don't understand why people think him and Max hate each other (more so why RBR posting Max/Daniel video or them flying together to Monaco where they both live would be a proof of that) when they said over and over again that they have a good relationship and Max is defending Checo every weekend - I doubt PR could force him to do that, he doesn't look like the type to play into PR games.
The whole "Daniel vs Sergio" is a horrible situation made worse by media and the "fans" because I don't see them acting any different around each other (though the whole incident with Daniel's team spreading rumours still gives me an ick) and I don't know why being friends with Max is somehow taken into consideration???? Like Daniel is his best friend on the grid, he said that many many times and because of that he can't like Checo? Where's the logic? It's very preschool to say that: "he's my best friend and only mine and he can't be friends with anyone else". Ridiculous.
It was fine for a moment but it turned really toxic rather quickly and it's disgusting, it is possible to like a driver without hating their competitors. Also, I don't think Daniel proved himself enough to take the seat mid season, (Yuki beaten him almost always) and it wouldn't make sense to reverse all the progress Sergio made to put the entire WCC on an unknown. But I agree Checo needs to do better - he had a terrible luck lately and made some mistakes but he wasn't that bad, not sure what it is because he was flying in quali and then got fucked over with the strategy but he deserves a fair chance (and please don't get me started on the whole "they fired Pierre and Alex for less" because it's a completely different situation - they were not fighting for the top spot then)
Sorry for the rant, I'm just really sick of this situation.
(Also because apparently it's important in the whole debate somehow - I am a Checo fan, I'm indifferent towards Daniel and RBR and I am from Europe)
Don't worry anon, I love good rants, particularly from Checo fans, you are amazing, and I hug you so hard!
I do agree Checo has made mistakes, but he was improving. It's something I can't understand, some practices he's really good, and then qualy ends awfully and has to make it up in the race. In this race in particularly, I do blame RBR for the drop in places. Checo complained about the energy thing (I only know the words in Spanish, sorry, but something about needing power because he was too slow) and the tyre thing... I think Horner knows they fucked up, because he said that 'this race won't have an impact in Checo's future in RBR', whatever, I don't believe you Horner. Yesterday in qualy, he almost stays at Q2 because his engineer made a mistake, the team is having a hard time with the strategies and it shows, particularly with Checo.
I'm with you, RBR needs to just say something about this instead of letting everyone (press, haters and fans of other drivers) run wild with the rumours.
The fact that people still believe Max hates Checo baffles me. They say he has to act like this because PR stuff, but Max is Max. Let's remember their divorce in 2022, shots were fired, frosty things during PR... they really think Max would just pretend for PR? Particularly the touchy feely way he is with Checo? But whatever, they can think that, if only didn't mean spewing shit about Checo, but no, they have to say nasty things about him.
I understand how you feel anon, and feel free to share your thoughts here, is a Checo fans Space for all of us, loving that you are european, I'm biased because the press is mean, but I know Checo has fans there, so glad to meet (sorta) one of them!
So anon, being a Checo fan:

The Love We Deserve: Arrow 2x06 Review (Keep Your Enemies Closer)
This is the episode I knew the writers were going THERE with Olicity. I wasnât sure about endgame. I certainly did not know how Oliver and Felicityâs story would unfold, but âKeep Your Enemies Closerâ confirmed we were in this, fam. We were in this all the way.
2013 Jen's live reaction:
Letâs dig inâŚ
Olicity
The first scene immediately sets up this juxtaposition between Felicity, Oliver and Isabel and it carries through the episode. Itâs not a love triangle. Isabel doesnât matter enough to warrant a point on a triangle, but they use her (quite effectively I might add) to show Oliver and Felicity are anything but âjust friends.â
Isabel is bitching at Oliver for whatever-he-failed-to-do-this-week and Felicity is trying to get his attention for some arrow (Roy Harper) related business. Initially, she tries using âMr. Queenâ in a very boss/employee way, but ultimately is fed up with being ignored and yells âOliver!â
Isabel barely tosses Felicity a glance, but Oliver ends the Co-CEO argument to leave with Felicity. Trust me when I say, Isabel clocks this decision.
Source: @okmcintyre
Oliver and Felicity join Diggle in his search for Lyla Michaels. She went to Russia to search for Deadshot and now sheâs missing. Oliver uses a Queen Consolidated subsidiary in Moscow as their cover story and use of the company jet. Unfortunately, Isabel tags along. She believes Oliver is meeting with their overseas partners behind her back. Once she discovered Oliver didnât have any meetings planned with their subsidiary in Moscow, her accusations shift to Felicity.
Oliver: Iâm not this person you think I am.
Isabel: That depends.
Oliver: On what?
Isabel: On if I think you used the corporate jet for a weekend of fun with your assistant.
Oliver: Excuse me?
He does his very best to look incredulous at the idea of hooking up with Felicity while on a romantic weekend in Moscow. I really wouldnât put Russia on my Top 10 list of romantic getaways. Tahiti made a lot more sense, but whatever. The point is â Oliverâs feathers are immediately ruffled. Did I see him blushing? Oliver lies all day every day both professionally and personally, but this line of questioning has him quite tongue tied.
Isabel: A blonde IT girl all of a sudden gets promoted to be assistant to the CEO? There are only two ways that happens. One is nepotism and she doesnât look like your cousin.
Source: Paigeota
It absolutely should be happening, Oliver.
Isabel: What were her qualifications aside from an abundance of short skirts?
Source: Paigeota
This scene is incredibly important because A) itâs hilarious and B) this is the first time Arrow has addressed OUTLOUD Felicity Smoak as a love interest for Oliver Queen. Everything up until now has been gazing, fervent glances, shoulder touches, soft tones, sexual innuendo and the electric chemistry between Stephen Amell and Emily Bett Rickards. But Isabel puts her money on the table and flat out accuses Oliver of sleeping with Felicity.
We, the audience, know Oliver and Felicity are not having sex (much to our horror and disappointment), but Isabel presents the one question weâve been dying to ask Oliver â does he WANT to sleep with Felicity? And his answer is⌠glorious.
First he laughs, uncomfortably, like this is the most INSANE line of questioning to ever take place. Keep in mind this man was tortured on Lian Yu for information about bombs, planes, the location of a Chinese archer and Japanese soldiers bones from WWII. But nope, Oliver is shocked â SHOCKED I TELL YOU â that anyone would ever think heâs having sex with Felicity. Methinks he doth protest too much.
But Oliver trips up at the mention of skirts. He stutters his way through defending Felicity. It is damn near gallant of him to argue they are an appropriate length. No ma'am, the skirts are not too short. Not for Oliver Queen!
We can chalk this up to Oliver being a flesh and blood heterosexual man. The day they stop looking is the day they die. But this is the first time anyone has asked Oliver if he is sexually attracted to Felicity. He blushes, laughs, protests and stammers his way through his answer like a 13 year old boy.
Also, itâs extremely important to remember one episode prior Oliver was rejecting Laurel Lance in her apartment hallway after she tried to kiss him - his primary female love interest. Then the very next episode, the writers are crafting a scene forcing Oliver to address a romantic relationship with Felicity.
Is it a funny scene? Yes, but the real win for Olicity shippers is the question is being ASKED. The answer is even better. Yes, Oliver has noticed the skirts and the spectacular legs that go with them. You donât say that about a character who is going to remain a platonic, comic relief Girl Wednesday.
We are so far from done. Diggle infiltrates the Russian prison where Lyla is being held while Oliver and Felicity meet up with Anatoly to purchase a Russian police car as part of their escape plan. Felicity is extremely anxious about Diggle, so Oliver offers her some witty banter and a shoulder touch as reassurance.
When the Russians try to fleece Oliver he threatens to make their children orphans in Russian.
Itâs all very Bratva Oliver and menacing, but with Felicity he makes a little joke and winks! One could say his demeanor is quite light hearted â dare I say flirting?
Source: Paigeota
Oliver returns to the hotel and has a drink with Isabel. Bizarrely, he brings up Felicity again â unprompted. He couldnât wiggle out of this line of questioning fast enough and now he canât stop bringing it up! Pick a lane, my dude.
Oliver: Does everyone really think that Felicity and I areâŚ
EXPLAIN THE DOT DOT DOT OLIVER! LET'S BE SPECIFIC!
Isabel: No. Just everyone who works at Queen Consolidated.
My kingdom to hang out by the water cooler in that office.
More with the loud chuckling. Nothing to see here but friendship. Look at all the friendship. Hardy har har.
Isabel: You donât seem like the kind of man who has female friends.
Thatâs the understatement of the century. Putting Oliverâs sexual partners aside for the moment - Felicity is in a unique position. Oliver doesnât have a lot of friends let alone female friends. Felicity is also the only female in his life who knows heâs the Arrow. Has he told her everything about his past? No, but relax. Weâre only on Season 2.Â
Oliver has shared quite a lot with Felicity in a relatively short amount of time. He trusts her (as much as he's capable of) and Oliver does not trust easily. Felicity is the only woman Oliver can be completely and authentically himself with. This makes her more than unique â it makes Felicity special. I think Oliver understands that and he approaches their friendship with reverence. He toes a very strict line with Felicity â for a very good reason which he will reveal later on in the episode.
Isabel: Underneath that swagger, I see you pretty clearly. Youâre intelligent, driven and lonely.
Isabel reveals she doesnât buy Oliverâs bad boy routine and instead believes she shares a lot in common with him. We can take this conversation one of two ways â 1) two people connecting over vodka and a shared ability to speak Russian or 2) Oliver is working Isabel to keep the real reason for this trip a secret. Bonus? He gets laid in the process.
Clearly, Iâm going with option 2. He feeds her a line about loneliness in Russian and Isabel practically races Oliver back to the hotel room.
Mercifully, we donât have to watch them have sex. Oliver is pressed for time because they need to save Diggle, but Isabel is fine with the wham bam thank you ma'am. Oliver thinks he left enough time, but as he opens the door to his hotel there stands Felicity just about to knock.
Oliver left Isabel undressed and in his bed, but the woman finds her clothes with lightning speed when she hears Felicity at the door and purposefully makes her exit then.
If Isabel bought Oliverâs âweâre just friendsâ speech then doing this would not be necessary. Isabel wants Felicity to know they slept together. Regardless of what people at Queen Consolidated think, Isabel knows thereâs more going on between them than Oliver will admit. She wants to hurt Felicity. Isabel is marking her territory and I would encourage you to listen to Stephen Amellâs thoughts on why. #Cosigned.
However, this is NOT information Oliver wants Felicity to know. He is so embarrassed he canât even look at Felicity as Isabel walks out the door.
Felicity is stunned. Sheâs actually speechless. Oliver tries to offer up some feeble explanation, but he doesnât get very far.Â
Felicity immediately makes a joke to alleviate the tension, but as she turns we can see her hurt and anger.
She cannot fathom a reason why Oliver would sleep with this woman. Whether or not Oliver heard Felicityâs remarks â he grimaces because he knows he screwed up. BIG TIME. It is so awkward and painful.
But again, the viewers must ask a fundamental question â why is this scene being written like Felicity caught Oliver cheating on her? Oliver is single. Isabel is single. Felicity is single. Nobody is dating anybody. And yet, the Arrow writers make it clear Felicity is hurt by this encounter â like sheâs been betrayed.
As for Oliver, he absolutely did NOT want Felicity to know he slept with Isabel. He knows it will hurt her. This shows Oliver is somewhat aware Felicity has feelings for him. Congratulations, Oliver youâre not a total pine tree.
Whatâs more telling is Oliverâs reaction. He acts like Felicity caught him doing something wrong. If he didnât return Felicityâs feelings then her opinion wouldnât really matter. Itâs never stopped him from dating or sleeping with other women before. And this is just a one night stand. Not even â it was a quickie. But Oliver is ashamed. This makes him look bad. Generally speaking, when you have romantic feelings for someone you donât want that person to see you hooking up with someone else. It sends a very mixed message.
THIS IS NOT HOW YOU WRITE A PLATONIC COUPLE!!!
Felicity Smoak wears her heart on her sleeve. She canât let it go. Itâs not just that Oliver slept with someone. Itâs that he slept with ISABEL. The woman who is trying to steal his company. Her bitchiness is embedded in her DNA, so Felicityâs work environment probably less than fun. Felicity cannot stand Isabel and Oliver slept with her. HER.Â
Felicity: Over 64 million women over the age of consent in Russia and you sleep with her.
But this time it is Oliverâs turn to make a joke to deflect. The entire vibe is coupleâs fight.
Source: Paigeota
But Felicity is not joking when they get home and sheâs tired of the mixed messages. So ask the question point blank. God bless her. No sexual innuendos, stammers, deflections, furtive glances or unspoken truths.
 Source: Paigeota
Oliverâs initial response is kind of flippant to be honest.
 Source: Paigeota
He gives Felicity a very generic âIt just happened,â which is the exact non-explanation cheaters use. Sex doesnât âjust happen.â Itâs a decision. Oliver made a choice and Felicity is trying to understand why because maybe if she understands then it will hurt less. Even worse, he says it didnât mean anything. The problem is it meant something to Felicity. Take it away Willow Rosenberg.
Xander: We were just kissing. It doesn't mean that much.
Willow: No. It just means you'd rather be with someone you hate, than be with me. - BTVS "Innocence"
Truly one of the most devastating lines in television history delivered by an equally heart wrenching performance by Alyson Hannigan. What Felicity is truly asking Oliver is not, âWhy her?â but rather, âWhy not me?â
Felicityâs disappointment in Oliverâs response is palpable and feels very similar to their scene in 1x12 when she asked Oliver if she could trust him. She didnât want a flip answer then and she doesnât want one now.
Source: Paigeota
Oliver lowers his voice into his gentle Felicity tone and says, âHey,â so sheâll look at him again. The real intimacy between them is revealed in a single word. He cannot wiggle out of this, so Oliver is approaching her question, and pain, with the reverence she deserves. Felicity closes her eyes for a moment before she meets Oliverâs gaze again, like sheâs steeling herself against whatever explanation is coming next. This time the answer will be honest, but it will hurt more.
Source: Paigeota
Oliver speaks hypothetically of course, in an attempt to discuss what he feels for Felicity without really discussing it. It keeps their friendship in this little protective bubble as Oliver takes an infinitesimally small step over the strict line he has drawn between them. Oliver feels life as The Arrow, and his proximity to danger, prevents him being in a loving relationship. He slept with Isobel because he doesnât care about her. Oliver wonât be with Felicity because he does care about her.
What is MONUMENTALLY IMPORTANT about this scene is Oliver acknowledges the elephant in the room for the very first time. He feels more than friendship for Felicity. Â Does Oliver Queen love Felicity Smoak? Yes. Is he ready to admit that to himself - let alone to her? No. Oliver believes his love endangers Felicity. He cannot lose her, so he will not allow himself to love her. As frustrating as Oliverâs answer is itâs not difficult to understand why he feels this way - especially after losing Tommy.
Felicity gives a little nod like this was the explanation she expected, but still needed to hear. Despite the hypothetical, they both know Oliver is speaking about her. Rather than a meaningful relationship, Oliver has resigned himself to a life of loneliness. He may have hook ups and one night stands to fill his bed and relieve an urge, but he withholds access to his heart. This is not just about Oliverâs refusal to truly love someone. Itâs also about his refusal to allow anyone to love him in return.
He's taken bullets that hurt less than this.
In the end, itâs Felicityâs response that truly packs the emotional punch. She believes Oliver deserves better, regardless of his way of life. He deserves more than empty affairs and lonely, dark and violent nights.
There is so much this man cannot forgive himself for and the guilt is overwhelming. Oliver believes he has no right to happiness. Loneliness is his penance. When all you experience is pain and loss it can be difficult to imagine a life without it.
"We accept the love we think we deserve." - Perks of Being a Wallflower
Oliver hurt Felicity deeply by sleeping with Isabel. They both know it. He continues to hurt her by drawing this line in the sand between them. Yet, in the face of that pain, Felicity dreams a life for Oliver thatâs more than the one heâs resigned himself to. It is forgiveness, compassion and unconditional love in action. He does not feel worthy of Felicity Smoak, but those are the lies Oliverâs guilt tells him. She knows the truth.
Source: Paigeota
The stunned look on his face says it all - no one has ever told Oliver Queen he deserves to be loved.Â
John Diggle
Contrary to the previous six pages, this is actually a John Diggle focused episode. And boy, does he drop a bomb on Oliver and Felicity.
Oliver didnât immediately recognize Lylaâs name, which is fine because I donât think theyâve shared a scene. Felicity reminds him Lyla is Johnâs ARGUS girlfriend and I had whiplash at that status update. Girlfriend? When did we get to girlfriend? I feel more comfortable with super spy sexy time friend.
Diggle lowers the boom. Lyla Michaels is his ex-wife. SAY WHAT??!
Felicity: Explain that sentence.
Honestly, how do Oliver and Felicity not know this yet? What do they talk about in the bunker? It canât always be about crimes and arrows. Sharing is caring OTA â embrace it.
Diggle: We couldnât figure out how to stay married without a war to fight.
Diggle and Lyla were married while on tour in Afghanistan, but divorced shortly after returning home. Lyla joined ARGUS and Diggle went back for another tour.
Diggle and Oliver hook up with Anatoly (!!!) and he informs them Lyla was trying to break into the worst prison in Russia on a tip that Deadshot was being held there. Unfortunately, she was captured. It hasnât been a pleasant stay given how battered Lyla is looking.
The only way in Gulag is to be a prisoner, so Diggle volunteers. Oliver balks at that, but Diggle needs him on the outside make the moves necessary for an escape. Also, Lyla is Diggleâs woman and he's going to save her, damn it. SWOON. Find you a man with a hero's complex. They make divine husbands. I speak from experience.
Anatoly provides enough drugs to land Diggle in prison for 400 years. Oliver and Felicity are nervous about this plan. In one of the sweetest moments between Diggle and Felicity, she gently kisses him on the cheek and wraps his scarf around his neck. Itâs a good luck kiss, but everyone is clearly worried itâs a goodbye.
Of course, once John is inside he runs right into Deadshot. He sure is easy to find for a globetrotting criminal mastermind. Deadshot knows where Lyla is being held and wants in on the escape plan in exchange for her location. After Deadshot kills Anatolyâs guard, John has no choice but to team up with him.
Lyla: You came for me.
Diggle: I always have and I always will.
This is what stellar ships are made of folks. This is the content we're here for.
Of course, Oliver and Felicity rescue Diggle, Lyla and Deadshot, but the pinnacle of the episode for John is when they dump Deadshot on the side of the road. Theyâll help him get out of prison, but not out of the country. John holds a gun on him â ready to pull the trigger to avenge his brotherâs death, but he canât do it.
Deadshot: Thatâs the thing about honor, John. You canât turn it on and off.
What a great line! I love that line!!! Itâs so fully encapsulates John Diggleâs character. Iâm sorry I know heâs a killer, but between Deadshot bringing Olicity together with the ridden computer and this moment with Johnâ Iâm really starting to like this guy.
Deadshot offers John some additional information about his brotherâs death. A thank you for not killing him I guess. He asks John how he thought Andy was killed.
Diggle: You shot at a client that Andy was protecting and you missed.
Deadshot: I donât miss. Your brother was the contract.
Diggle: Who would want to kill Andy?
Deadshot: I donât know their names, just an alias. H.I.V.E.
The plot thickens! Iâm sure all the comic fans were excited about the introduction of H.I.V.E. I was clueless, but with a quick Google youâll discover H.I.V.E is a terrorist organization. So, this means one of two things, Johnâs brother was an honorable man who ticked off a terrorist organization or Andy was not as honorable as his brother and ticked off a terrorist organization. This adds a layer of complexity the Diggle vs. Deadshot storyline desperately needed. It was running a little stale.
Diggle: You know me and Carly broke up because I couldnât love her and hate him at the same time.
Lyla: Iâm honored to be the exception.
Diggle: Lyla, you were always the exception.
Ok, Iâm onboard the SS Dyla. Letâs get remarried. Iâm ready. Â
We go from the Dyla love scene directly to Olicityâs final scene in the office. This is not a mistake. John guides Oliver on his path. This also includes his romantic life and one of the ways Diggle guides Oliver is by example. Dyla always points the way.
Stray Thoughts
This is the first episode we meet Amanda Waller. Sheâs loyal to Lyla Michaels and knows about Oliver and Diggleâs vigilante operation, so sheâs arriving on the scene as a fully formed bad ass. Â
Diggle refused Anatolyâs vodka. Based on the look Oliver gave him Iâm guessing that was a very bad idea. Drink the vodka, John.
âI wouldnât mind a drink.â I mean honestly the boys could be so sexist sometimes. Felicity likes booze too!
âI will take care of her.â Snort. Yeah, Iâll bet Oliver.
Isobel immediately jumps to the conclusion that Felicity is sleeping her way up to the top. Way to be supportive of your fellow female coworkers and fighting that glass ceiling together, Isobel. This just makes her more evil in my opinion.
Sara left town. Thatâs fine I need a break from the Lance drama.
Quentin lets Roy go because he's working with the Arrow too, so I'm counting Lance as part of the team.
No Laurel. Hallelujah. Did you even notice she was gone? Nope. This character lifts right out.
Thereâs this whole weird subplot where Moiraâs lawyer wants Thea to dump Roy because heâs a felon and it makes Moira look bad. Sure, Roy Harper is the problem. Not the 500 people who died. Even Moira thinks this plot line is ridiculously stupid and gets these crazy kids back together. Can we be done with the Theroy breakups? Iâm tired. Find these two an actual storyline.
Slade: I will not be the reason something happens to you.
Shado: When I care about someone there's nothing I won't do for them.
Slade is in rough freaking shape after being burned over half his body, but he gets snuggle time with Shado so it isnât all bad.
Never trust a Russian woman. Has Oliver ever seen a movie?
Flashback Sara betrays Oliver and gives Ivo the location of Slade, Shado and the soldier bones. Let's go with Stockholm syndrome to explain this insanity. Or she's just completely terrified of Ivo. Either works. But still - dick move Sara.
Why does David Ramsey wear shirts? Itâs really a crime against humanity.

summary: why can you commit to your situationship but not to an actual relationship? thatâs what she asked herself until he came barreling to her hotel room one night.
content warning: 16+ rating under the cut, fwb-to-lovers type of deal, named ofc
masterlist
we canât do this anymore. it was a simple sentence that could have meant so much if it came from someone so genuine and worried about the consequences of their decisions.
but it came from pierre gasly. of course, he didnât mean it. especially when ambrosiaâs out there every weekend at the media pensâ around him, working while she pretended that he didnât exist. she was his pr manager onceâ but she made sure that it wasnât the case anymore the moment she moved to ferrari to become his best friendâs manager.
she made sure she didnât see him every day to get countless orgasms all the timeâ not when getting high from his stamina and welcomed arrogance would then lead her to the realization that she wasnât enough for him. heâd been to dates before and she knew what her worth was to him. she was made to be a fling material whereas the women heâd gone to date were something of a relationship material. she clearly wasnât.
he kept saying they couldnât do that to each other anymore. he repeatedly put their situationship â not even a relationship â on and off before, so ambrosia wasnât that fucking sure why heâd even bother calling her every other night for her to keep his bed warm. he didnât text. âyou know that i call most of the time,â he laughed at her direction once, not seeing the way her face flustered at his ridiculing reaction.
we canât do this anymore, he said. yet when he had woken up to a cold empty space next to him, he felt disappointed that she left as soon as he drifted off.
he wanted to do it again, and again, and again. ambrosia found that it was apparent for the past few weeks as he began texting her what she was up to. she wanted to roll her eyes but somehow a part of her felt giddy. funny how that worked, ambrosia scoffed to herself, because she was the one who clung to him for the first half of their hookup routine.
he couldnât do it anymore, she realized months ago, by that he meant that he couldnât find himself in a proper relationship with her â he settled for a mutually beneficial arrangement instead. she stopped staying over after she realized what he truly wanted. sheâd only stay for the orgasms and leave after heâd slept, thinking that he wouldnât give her the other thing that she yearned.
then he realized that she stopped coming over altogether. she never showed up to any of the club meetups that occurred after the races and when he asked charles, the monegasque shrugged his shoulders and joked that itâs either her overtime was keeping her busy or a boyfriend was.
he couldnât do it anymore. but this time, he meant that he couldnât pretend that her absence wasnât getting to him. he couldnât deny himself of a relationship he longed for.
the first thing that ambrosia felt just as she swung the door of her hotel room open was the softness of his lips. she could taste some sort of fruity cocktail when he continued to devour her, her senses overwhelmed. by his behaviour, his body or his mouth â she wasnât sure. she was just overwhelmed and she allowed that feeling to last for a minute.
she couldnât even speak, her eyes shut as she welcomed the euphoric feeling of his tongue wrestling with hers. she hadnât even noticed they moved until he pushed her down on her bed.
but instead of stripping her off her clothes, he hovered above her and pressed a kiss on her forehead. âi donât want to lose you.â
her breath hitched, âyou can have anyone you want, pierre.â
âi donât want them,â he admitted quietly, his hand now caressing her face while his eyes peered down on hers. the lust blown pupils were long gone, now showing another side of him that she could have sworn she had seen before heâd turn away to go to sleep.
âyou decided that it was the case when you began seeing other people,â ambrosia told him, not even showing her anger or confusion. not even sadness.
âit was a mistake to deny you of everything you deserved,â pierre replied, his sober self telling her, âi hate that youâre in my head yet youâre not next to me. i hate that you didnât sleep on my bed because you shouldâve known by then that it was yours too.â
if you told ambrosia that pierre was in love with her all those months ago, she probably would have laughed on your face. but she couldnât find herself to laugh at this situation, not when she could see how serious he was about her. it was probably ideal that she didnât assume things and asked him upfront instead. it couldâve saved her more time and even pain.
âwhat about those girls?â
âthey were some stupid blind dates i hadnât wanted to go to. fucking charles was relentless.â
âwhen you said that we couldnât do it anymoreâŚâ
he sighed, âi wasnât sure if you still wanted us⌠i should have made it clear at the beginning that i want you, not just your body. i couldnât bear the pain of not being yours.â
he couldnât do it anymore. by that he meant that he couldnât ruin the best thing that happened to him. he didnât even know that he was already ruining her when he acted as if he didnât want her for who she was.
but ambrosia was more than willing to clear these obstacles with him. she was determined to make changes if it meant that they wouldnât miscommunicate.
âtell me,â she whispered, her hand moving up to caress his stubbles as she continued, âtell me what would you like us to be.â
âi want usâŚâ pierre took the hand touching his face and kissed the palm, âto be more than what we were. i want us to be happy, mon amour.â

Okay? Nice~
Letâs gooooo!!! (List under the cut)
Side Note: Thank you for saying my art is good! It made my day! >///<
PJSK Songs that I listen to~
1. Bake no Hana
youtube
Of course this song is gonna make it into the list! Because ever since Mizu5, Iâve just been listening to this every dayyyy :â)
Mizu5 wreaked me emotional for reals, for realssss ;v;
2. Ultra C
youtube
Iâm so proud of vbs for finally surpassing RAD Weekend! It was such a good event, and an even banger song! The moment where Miku gave one last encouragement to Kohane? So good. Ahhh! Of course the scene afterwards where vbs when to visit Nagiâs grave! Ahhhhh! It punched me in the guts! In a good way tho! TvT
3. Watashi Wa Ame
youtube
I know itâs a joke that all of Enaâs events are about her struggles as an artist, and while itâs true. I do think they mix it up enough and show Enaâs character growth throughout it super well. And this event is the prime example of that.
Her getting insight of what her father struggled with as an artist. Ena learning how she was the main inspiration for his fatherâs possible last painting. How he sees her as a hope of light in his darkest times. How he genuinely loves and wants to protect her (albeit not in the greatest way as we all know). And how she grew so much in both understanding and confidence to understand her fatherâs intentions.
Itâs such a really nice event for me that also got me emotional. Also the song is so gooddddd~ *v*
4. Regulus
youtube
Yepppp, a Leo/Need song! Itâs such a banger!
While Iâm not that well versed on Leo/Need compared to N25 and VBS, I did read Honamiâs stories (look, my adhd brain be hopping around the storyline like crazy whenever i gets attached to a character lol)
And i just gotta say, Iâm so proud of Honami! She has definitely grown so much since the main story.
Her initially lacking the confidence to make a decision due to her anxiety, fears, and people pleasing tendencies. (that caused her to initially be distant from her closest friends, and caused her to be depressed during that time)
To now. Being confident to speak truthfully about her feelings and standing up for herself and Leo/Need (seen in the Little Braver event). And now sheâs an offical leader of Leo/Need! Ahhhh! So proud of her! >v<
5. Watashi Wa, Watashitachi Wa
youtube
Bang! A More More Jump song to finish off this list! >:Dc
And once again, Iâm not as well versed in the MMJ, but my adhd brain did get attached to Shizuku, hence me reading the her event stories (i still have read Shizu4 yet tho⌠â˘3â˘;)
But anyway! I absolutely love this song and the event that is associated with it. Itâs such a good way for Shizuku to face her past and show how much she has grown and is willing to be more proactive to be the best idol she can be, as herself.
It also gave more insight what happened during her time in Cheerful*Days and how the rift between the members began. Fleshing out the members and showing a more complex situation than a simple jealousy situation at first glance.
And like the song is so catchy and hopeful, a perfect song that embodies Shizukuâs determination. :3c
Oh shoot. That took longer than expected uhhhh⌠Rapid fire non-pjsk song list, go!
Non-PJSK Songs:
1. é¨äšĺĽł (Ameotome)

2. Sing The Moon

Realising I was trans has been quite possibly the worst thing. In a lot of ways it feels like it's ruined my life.
I realised I was a transboy this summer, after getting a haircut inspired by a fictional character, two days before going on a three week long road trip across the US.
The haircut was so affirming for me, it was the first time I looked in the mirror and saw myself. 21 years of seeing a stranger every time I saw my reflection, finally seeing me in the mirror was groundbreaking. But seeing myself in the mirror and playing with my new haircut for hours also gave me a revelation of biblical proportions that I knew was going to cause countless problems for me.
See I was in a relationship with someone who's sexuality was "everyone except boys". He could never see himself saying he had a boyfriend or be able to view a partner as a man. I was (am) so unbelievably in love with him, I regularly joked with my friends that I was gonna marry that boy. I spent two years being best friends with him before wrangling him into a relationship. It wasn't perfect but was about as close to it as two teenagers could get. We rarely fought and if we did it was resolved before either of us could go to bed because I hated going to sleep mad at someone. We were long distance once we started college, he was two hours away from me but we made time to talk or play video games together and even if we got busy and hadn't talked in a week I knew as soon as one of us gave the other a ring it would be as if no time had passed. He was home wrapped up in 6'2" of scrawny sarcasm and 3ft long hair. Disregarding everything romantic about our relationship, being around him was comfort and ease personified. We could sit in a room and do our own thing for hours, barely exchanging two sentences. I could comfortably be annoying and ask stupid questions or make dumb jokes without fearing that I was being genuinely bothersome. We talked about life after college, moving in together and for the first time after years of being passively suicidal and believing a future wasn't guaranteed or even likely for me, I saw a future that was not only clear, but that I actually wanted to work for.
But I knew as soon as that realisation struck me down like lightning that my relationship was doomed. The future that I was finally in focus and not so far out of reach was gone in an instant. Because this was his one hard rule, he wasn't attracted to guys, full stop.
I sat on my revelation for nine days, waiting until we reached colorado springs before I had to spill. It started as a trickle, just telling him I had something important to tell him when I was coming down to see him next, after my trip. But after I started to drip drip drip the barest threads of what I had to share it was like a crack in a dam. I couldn't hold it in, I never was any good at keeping secrets from him. I spilled everything, spent two hours on the phone telling him everything, every fear, hesitation, anxiety, and gory detail. I spent a lot of that conversation crying and shaking because I was so worried he was gonna break up with me then and there. The fear of rejection was so severe I couldn't begin to look at my phone let alone the camera. He told me he wouldn't make a decision until I was back home, that he'd talk to his best friend and our mutual best friend, get some advice and talk it over before coming to any conclusion.
But I knew, I didn't want to believe it but I knew as soon as the words "I think I'm a boy" came out of my mouth in the barest of whispers that the final nail in the coffin holding my dreams for the future, my heart, and that hypothetical wedding band.
Three weeks later I drove myself to cincinnati feeling like I was driving to my own execution, I may as well have been.
I spent two days of that weekend spending time with him, going to a midnight showing of rocky horror but I knew this boy like the back of my hand. I knew when I was being held at arms length. I knew that as much as I didn't want it to be the case, that our relationship would be over before I drove myself home.
Come monday morning, when I rolled over and looked at him I knew the time had come. "You ready to have that conversation?" he asked. "Let me take a piss before we do," I mumbled before going in the bathroom to stare holes in the wall of the shower and glare at my reflection for 45 minutes. Before I dragged myself out of the bathroom I looked in the mirror, seeing myself staring back and all I could think was "I wish I'd never seen you."
After sitting in silence, 8 inches apart on a bed feeling like a vast black ocean, he said "I can't see any way we can go forward without breaking up." and as much as I told myself I wouldn't cry immediately out the gate, I did one of those choking, shuddering, sobs. Because my world was falling apart and I was the one that ruined it.
We talked, for hours, I cried endlessly. It was the worst kind of break up, the love wasn't lost, there was no betrayal, no epic screaming fallout, just a quiet breaking where neither of us did anything nefarious but something changed and we didn't fit together anymore. And it was agonising I knew and I know that if only I didn't have the misfortune of being a boy I would still have him.
We talked it out and then I ran, I regret it more than I have words to quantify. Maybe if I had stayed things wouldn't feel so daunting now. But I left and now I don't know how to talk to him. We were friends first, he was my best friend before anything else and now I don't even know how to talk to him.
I don't know where the line is, I don't know how to start the conversation because I know I'll ruin it.
I have gained nothing, in coming out. I have lost everything, my relationship, my future, my safe space, my happiness, my safety. Anything that felt sure or stable is gone and all I know now is that being a boy has brought me nothing joyful, nothing pleasant, just complex terrible anger and feeling as if I have been not only unmoored from the dock, but placed in the middle of a raging storm where the shores are nowhere to be seen.
