i like to think that tara is so fiercely territorial when it comes to gale out of a sense of protectiveness. oh, she knows gale is a more than formidable wizard—she'd even go so far as to say that he's one of the best—but she knows what he's like in love. his actions are of utter, nearly thoughtless devotion. dangerous.

once he starts falling, he falls willingly with open arms. he gives all of himself to the person he loves—and that is what scares tara. his heart, given so freely, must be loved in return and taken care of. but how can tara trust gale's lover to do so, when tara does not know them at all? she's seen the damage that careless hands have done to her little love, and she doesn't want that to happen again. but gale's heart is his to give, it is not hers to protect, and i think that hurts her more than anything.

I know I have these. I keep them tightly locked in my own head because I don't like drama in my little community.

Said whilst looking at all the angst they've written....

Well...

1 - I don't like the Gale up do. Let his hair run down. Only questionable people have manbuns. (See Thomas and Rugan, and the Nice Deadpool.)

2 - I don't like the Wavemother on Gale. Give my wizard a suit, or the gladiator robes, or anything other than that stupid dress. I get it; I get the appeal, but no.

3 - Gale is trim to fuck because either the orb has sucked the life out of him OR his self worth is also tied to his appearance. He's a wizard. He has to look good to feel good and, as we know, his whole idea is tied up in what others think of him. This includes how he looks, too. Now maybe after the adventure he'd get a little doughy as he's accepting himself, but I do not believe that's how he would be happy. He also wouldn't be dehydrated Wolverine as he is covered in sweat in Grymforge... Gods...

4 - I like Mystra. I do not agree with her at all. But as a character and with the concept of immortality and true neutrality, I find her so interesting. It bothers me a little that the community can't see past the huge argument to enjoy a character like that.

5 - Because I guess I need a 5 in case anyone hasn't blocked me for the last 4. FUCK HOZIER. (I've ranted enough in the past, I won't now.)
