Jamie’s aesthetic is centered around academia/smart clothing. It’s usually button ups/sweaters/cardigans and khakis or dark bottoms; depending on the weather.

Elio’s is always athleisure wear. Or a simple T and shorts. As cute as his design is, I always pictured him as the kind of guy who throws on whatever he grabs first in his closet.

Percy has that East Asian casual style. Stuff you might find at Uniqlo or pfftt whatever Kpop idols could be wearing. I also think he adjusts based on the season— wearing brighter things during summer and spring and toning it down for fall and winter.

Cameron’s that y2k and sorta punk style but also… “I’m an artist” vibe. I don’t know how to explain it really but whenever I see patterned clothing or stylish cropped tops I tend to think it would fit Cam well.

Deja’s is whatever is currently in fashion/what I think accentuates her figure. It’s simultaneously the easiest and hardest to look at outfits for her because I know she would love this chic top but it’s just a little bit overboard for school so I have to tone it down with jeans or a more causal jacket. Business casual I think works as a reference, with a slight more emphasis on casual since she’s still so young.

And Reynah is easy with cottage core/spring vibes. If it works for a picnic and it’s cute then that’s Reynah!

“Good morning, pogues.” You said, walking through the chateau in the morning.

“Well, well look who decided to grace us with her presence this morning.” John B smiled, standing up from his spot on the couch.

“It’s a beach day, you know I had to stop by.” You replied with your own smile. Sure, John B was somewhere you had gone once or twice, or three times, but once you found out Kiara had feelings for him you shut it down immediately. You were a lot of things, and being a girls girl was at the top of your list.

“Ew, get a room you two.” JJ muttered, stepping out of the spare room at the chateau.

“Okay, where is everyone, it’s beach day which means I’m taking y’all to the beach, but I can only do that if all of you are here.” You ignored JJ’s little quip and looked around the living room for everyone else.

“Pope’s asleep on the porch and Kie’s on her way.” John B said.

“Thank you, JB.” You replied, tapping him on the shoulder as you walked past him to go outside to wake Pope up.

“Friend zoned.” JJ sang to John B as you made your way outside.

“Pope.” You said quietly, squatting next to the boy, gently trying to wake him up. No sound escaped him as you shook him a little harder. “Are you guys sure he’s alive?”

“Oh, you gotta really push him around for him to wake up.” JJ stepped outside onto the porch and you backed up as he made his way to Pope’s side. “Hey buddy, it’s time to wake up.” JJ shook Pope violently by the shoulders and he actually opened his eyes.

“Dude, a little overkill.” You said, looking down at the scene with concerned eyes.

“Hey guys.” Kie announced her arrival as she walked onto the back porch.

Everyone loaded their boards and bags into your car and climbed into their respective seats. JJ sat up front with you and John B, Pope, and Kiara squished into the back seat.

You all listened to the music with the windows down on the drive to the beach. Laughing occasionally at something JJ said.

You pulled into a parking spot and rolled the windows up before turning to face the group. “So are we hotboxing or…” You asked, looking at them over your sunglasses, pretending to weigh the options with your hands.

“Hell yeah.” John B said, pulling a joint out from his back pocket.

“Just one?” You asked, looking at John B with a raised brow.

“Oh, that’s right.” JJ said, pulling out another one from his own pocket.

As your group passed around the two joints, Rafe, Topper, Kelce, and a couple girls pulled up next to you in Rafe’s truck.

“Oh great.” Pope muttered looking out his window.

“Everyone just stay low, maybe they won’t see us or recognize the car.” JJ suggested as you all sunk lower into your seats.

“Right because my cousin and friends won’t notice my car.” You scoffed looking out the windshield.

“I always forget that dirtbag’s your cousin.” Kie says, taking a drag from the joint that was passed to her.

“Guys, he can be nice.” You tried to reason, knowing how he treated them.

“Thornton, I know it’s you.” Rafe called out, standing outside your window.

You sat up as you rolled down the window and watched as the smoke rolled out the window, breaking free from the confined car.

“You might want to be more careful doing that here, in broad daylight.” Rafe said, leaning on your car.

“Don’t you have a girl you should be tending to?” You asked, tilting your head to the side as you looked at Rafe.

“I’m not interested in any of those girls.” Rafe scoffed, looking over to the group he came with.

“Right.” You chuckled, taking the joint from Pope.

“Have fun hanging out with your pogues for the day, Thornton.”

“I always do.” You muttered before rolling up the window with a smile plastered on your face.

“Great, now our hotbox and our day is ruined.” JJ scoffed, leaning back in his seat.

“We can still have a good day, we’ll stay on our side of the beach and they’ll stay on theirs.” You said, attempting to calm everyone’s nerves. You looked around the car and noticed everyone’s sour faces. “Come on guys, it’ll be fun. We’ll surf, tan, you know the usual. It’s not the first time we’ve run into them on the beach.”

“No, but every time we do, there always seems to be a problem.” Pope replied, squeezing his eyes shut and rubbing his forehead.

“If we leave now, they’ll know we have a problem. We can be civil.” You retorted, finishing off the joint in your fingers.

“They’re only gonna be civil because you’re here.” JJ sighed, flicking his own joint out the window.

“Everything will be fine.” You said stepping out of the car, half trying to convince yourself.

You all collected your boards and whatever you needed from the trunk of your Jeep before you made your way to the beach.

“You ready?” You asked Kiara with a smile as you walked on the beach, knocking your shoulder into hers.

“As ready as I’ll ever be.” She sighed, setting her bag down once the group found their spot on the beach.

“Come on.” You smiled pulling Kie towards the water once you two had pulled off your jean shorts, practically running.

“Wait you guys need sunscreen!” John B shouted as you and Kie continued running towards the beach, only earning a laugh in return.

You and Kie waited on your boards for the next best wave. You looked back to shore and laughed as you saw the guys applying sunscreen to each other, Kie joining in on your laughing once she saw what you were laughing at. But your laughing was short lived once you saw Topper paddle up next to you.

“Hey guys.” He said with a smile, sitting next to you.

“Afraid of a little sunburn, Top?” Kie asked, noticing his rash guard.

“Hey, there’s nothing wrong with a guy who wants to protect his skin.” He replied, holding his hands up.

“Think your surf lessons taught you enough to catch that wave, Top?” You taunted, pointing out the wave that was coming your way.

“I guess we’ll see.” He sighed before paddling away.

“God, I thought he was never gonna leave.” Kie joked, leaning back on her board as you two watched Topper take on the wave, only for a couple of ‘ooh’s’ to be followed once he fell off.

“Nice try, Top, you’ll get it next time!” You shouted as he paddled back to shore, only to receive a thumbs up in reply. “Alright, I’m going out.” You told Kie once you saw the next wave.

Rafe’s jaw clenched as he watched you and John B laughing and talking on the beach.

“Everything good man?” Topper asked Rafe as he sat down next to him. Topper followed Rafe’s line of sight and caught on to why he was seemingly upset. “Dude, don’t worry about that. Just because they’ve hooked up a couple of times, doesn’t mean anything. She’s only got eyes for you, bro.”

“Thanks, Topper, you always know what to say.” Rafe said, glaring at Topper.

“No, I’m serious, it’s always been you, she just used him as a distraction. I mean, you can’t be too upset, you’ve done the same thing.”

“Seriously, Topper, just stop talking.” Rafe said, before taking a sip of his beer. Rafe huffed and put his beer down before standing up.

“Where you going?” Topper asked, looking up at Rafe.

“I’m just gonna go talk to her, Top, nothing to worry about.” Rafe answered, before striding over to your side of the beach.

“Heads up.” Pope mumbled to the group, looking towards Rafe. You knew why he was coming over and you groaned to yourself. You knew he saw you talking to John B.

“Wanna go for a walk?” Rafe asked you, blocking your view from the sun.

“Dude, she’s with you and your friends 90% of the time, let her hang out with us for one day.” John B said, looking up at Rafe.

“It’s fine, JB, I need to stretch my legs anyways.” You say, an attempt at diffusing the tension between the two boys. Rafe smiled down at John B as he extended a hand out to you to help you up. You pushed his hand away and stood up on your own.

“That’s the second time you’ve interrupted me and my friends today.” You muttered, crossing your arms over your chest as you walked down the beach with Rafe.

“I don’t do it on purpose, Thornton, I just hate being so close to you without being able to talk to you.” Rafe sighed, rubbing his temples.

“Rafe.” You sighed, stopping in your tracks. “Please stop talking like that.”

As much as you wanted Rafe and you to be something, anything, it also terrified you. The idea of being in a committed whatever terrified you.

You let out a breath you didn’t even know you were holding in and rubbed your forehead before walking back towards your own group of friends.

“Just peachy.” You mumbled, drawing circles in the sand with your finger as you pulled your knees to your chest.

John B sighed and wrapped an arm around your shoulders and pulled you into his side, placing a kiss on the top of your head. It was meant to be a comforting thing between two friends, but all you could think about was Kie.

Hi Im sure you answered this already but i sadly cant find it: how did end up shipping or rather writing drarry fics?

I've actually been asked quite a few times why I ship H/D. I never answer, because it's complicated and long and I have an essay on the subject, so I'll answer the 'how' question without addressing the 'why'.

Once upon a time, the internet was becoming a thing that people used regularly. The news kept talking about how the youths of the day were "surfing the 'net" and this was going to be the new normal. As usual, I could not identify with the 'youths of the day,' even though I was one. What could possibly be of interest to me on the internet? Reading books was far better than talking to other people. Then one day in my senior year of high school it dawned on me that you could possibly talk to other people about books, something I had never done before, as I didn't know anyone but my parents and brothers who ever read for fun, and my parents and brothers did not like to read things like Jane Austen. What if there were people on the 'net who liked Jane Austen??? Seemed fake, but I gave it a try.

The first Jane Austen website I found was Republic of Pemberley, which hosted something they called "Bits of Ivory." Through the "Ramble" board on Republic of Pemberley, I found out that there were "Bits of Ivory" elsewhere. It was called fanfic and hosted on fanfic.net.

Almost all of it that I was introduced to was Harry Potter fic, as HP was the megafandom of the time, and my Sense and Sensibility friend was obsessed with Snape, mainly because of Alan Rickman. I was also obsessed with Snape, though I must say that even though I had been obsessed with Alan Rickman since 1995, I never did like his casting as Snape and still don't. Anyway, I ended up getting interested in Snape/Hermione fic, and continued to be interested on and off for over the next five years.

I should pause at this moment to say that I had been writing fanfic since the fourth grade. I didn't know it was called fic. I didn't know other people did it. It never occurred to me to share it. When I found "Bits of Ivory" it actually took me a while to process that the stories there were in a similar vein to the stories I had been writing all my life, stories based on fiction by other people. It was just so wild to me that anyone would share that stuff, as though other people would want to read the different endings that they came up with, the self-inserts and the cross-overs they came up with.

I should also take this moment to say that I didn't really have slash ships. I was aware that slash existed, and I thought it was great. Sirius/Remus was a background ship everywhere at the time, and even though I didn't really see it in canon and wasn't terribly interested in it, I thought it was a nice thing. And when I started getting into X-Men through Wolverine/Rogue, it seemed obvious to me that Professor X and Magneto had a past sexual relationship. I, in fact, had an original story that I'd started writing in eleventh grade that had similar tension between two male characters, and the idea that they were in love and unable to have sex about it explained so much. And I wrote more original stories in college that were gay.

I think my problem was that the canons I was consuming were quite straight, and while I wasn't obsessed with writing canon-compliant fics, I was (and still am, to some extent) obsessed with writing characters who were true to canon. At the time sexuality seemed some kind of immutable thing to me that was deeply a part of who a character was. Also, sex to me was very Other; it meant something really deep and serious about you that obliterated other things you were. For instance, I was frustrated with all the Frodo/Sam porn, because I felt it obliterated their beautiful friendship and made their relationship about sex and being gay rather than the deep pure bond of friendship. So I was maybe kind of homophobic and confused.

Then I fell in love with Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and while that canon has a lot of heteronormativity, it not only has a character who thought she was straight who realizes she's gay, it also has vampires who have lived for centuries and who have broken every kind of social norm that exists. It seemed silly to me to assume that Spike or Angel were straight, which is how I began shipping Spike/Angel, which is how I got absolutely obsessed with slash. It was so liberating to write porn where the power dynamic wasn't influenced by centuries of patriarchy! It was so liberating to write porn where I didn't have to think about my own anatomy or gender or position in a sexual dynamic! It was so liberating to write porn with a bunch of dicks!

Having discovered slash, I turned back to ye olde faithful fandom, which had ten billion fics about everything. I'm not sure I even tried Sirius/Remus, because I was still so uninterested in it, but now I read all the Snape slash, the majority of which seemed to be Harry/Snape. The thing is, I don't ship Harry/Snape. It can be very hot! But while the porn is fine and some of the stories are fun, these are not two people that I want to live happily ever after. I just think that the power dynamic between them, the history they have, and the personalities they are do not make me want to imagine them as a couple with a happy marriage who occasionally have the friends over for games of Quidditch and Exploding Snap. And while I like queer complicated, angsty stories, I also like a happy ending in a semi-heteronormative sense, especially for Harry Potter, who really seems to want one. So, I started looking for other Harry Potter slash.

I knew that Harry/Draco was a juggernaut pairing, but I just hated Draco Malfoy so much. I honestly could not stand him. I used to go about saying that I hated him not only as a person (like, I also hated Snape as a person; he's a dick, and he's cruel to children! But he's a great character) but as a character. I just didn't like the function he played in the narrative. I like big, dramatic rivalries and evil vs good; meanwhile, Draco Malfoy is a little worm. So I kept thinking about reading HP slash, but resisting.

Then, one day, I was sleeping on the couch, and woke up suddenly with the idea that Draco Malfoy could be reformed. He could be sorry for all the shitty things he's done! He could be really apologetic! He could be really trying to make up for his past, and Harry could find this truly beautiful, and they could have sex about it!

Surprisingly, it was hard to find fic about this. For some reason, in most of the fic, it was Harry having to earn Malfoy's approval, instead of the other way around, which I found absolutely bonkers. But I eventually found Eclipse, by Mijan, which was just what I wanted. Then I was obsessed and was reading every Harry/Draco fic I could find.

Eventually, I even read the ones in which Harry was a cad and Draco Malfoy was a perfect snowflake who never did anything wrong. And then I started finding fics that really emphasized that Draco had a very different point of view of what happened, which showed that he really had no way to understand who Harry was, or what Harry had been through. In these fics, Harry had to do some work to understand Draco, which is what really sold me on the pairing. I still want fics in which Draco has to do a lot of heavy lifting to address his past and deal with the hurt he has caused and the violence of his previously genocidal outlook, but I love it when Harry, too, has to adjust. After saving the world and losing most people he loves and protecting the innocent and doing his exhausted little best to be honest and righteous and true, Harry Potter still has to do work, again, to overcome his past and find a peaceful life. And that's what made me start writing Harry/Draco, the end.

So I'm thinking the reader is from Old Money, long-time generational wealth, like the Cattons. While I assume their grandparents were more occupied with the family business, I think on their mother's side, both their father and their mother are image-obsessed "philanthropists" who make a big show of their charity fundraisers and feel-good endeavours, despite their family money almost definitely being sourced unethically.

The reader and Felix are childhood friends, since their parents are old friends, as the Catton's used to attend many of the reader's family publicity events, usually just Elspeth and Sir James, but several times they brought Felix and Venetia when encouraged.

Most people don't actually know the reader is even their parents' child. They were born to satisfy their grandparents wishes for a grandchild, but neither of their parents were particularly interested in raising a child. After Felix and Venetia took a liking to them, and Elspeth too, their parents were more than happy to let them spend breaks with the Cattons after they were finally old enough to send to boarding school.

The reader is a legacy student at Oxford (I think that's the term when one or more parents have graduated from the institute). While their mother comes from old money, she, like Felix, was attending more as something to do. She met the reader's father there, and he is well off, but from much newer money. Both sets of grandparents have approved of the marriage, and while the reader's mother finished a BA in Art History (that she uses to determine the value of various paintings across the world to then auction them for charity), their father studied law. While he completed his degree, he never attended the exam to allow him to officially become a lawyer, as soon after they were married, the reader's father fell ill, and he elected his new son in law to become head of the business. These days it's more of a symbolic title, they simply use the money while the company's board of directors actually runs the company.

They're very distant with the reader, even more so than Sir James and Elspeth are with Venetia and Felix. reader's parents just seem to be glad that they became so quickly independent, without realising how emotionally neglectful they were, which is another reason the reader clings so strongly to Felix. That independence their parents see is also why they believe the reader is capable of making important decisions so young, hence why they were allowed to attend the same schools as Felix and Farleigh and Venetia in their youth.

hi would you ever post your drawing process? i’ve noticed you do research when it comes to stuff like finding references to age up characters properly, making the characters’ styles accurate for their time, etc.

sometimes you don’t realize how much goes into art besides the sketches, drawing, rendering, all that stuff, so the little things like that which make a big difference in the end is so cool to notice, you’re a really inspiring artist for me! your art style is incredible and i’d love to see what goes through your head before drawing something, if that’s alright with you ofc.

like what’s your inspiration? what shaped your art style? do you use references and how often bc sometimes i see some poses you draw and think ok there HAD to be a reference used for this bc it’s too good but i understand finding refs for what’s going on your head is difficult a lot of times so i just chalk it up to you being skilled enough to guess how the anatomy would work (so much praise for artists like that because??? insane talent! not to say using refs makes artists less skilled or anything 😭😭 hope it didn’t come off that way)

oh where to begin…

I usually get ideas of what I want to do, but it’s not until I open the canvas that my hand just knows what to do I guess? There’s times when I can just paste what’s in my head on the canvas and times when I struggle more and I have to look for references/trace poses (which are usually me with really bad lightening around my room or yeah, pics from pinterest)

lol funny story, my one drawing of James, Lily and Harry dancing I recorded myself dancing and got screenshots of that to base the poses on…. I accidentally sent one to a person that was commissioning me at the time, most embarrasing moment of my life

ANYWHOO! In terms of clothes, I have a board for every character where I put like what I think their style entails. Cause I like it when they look like teenagers in the 70s

Here’s my process when i just vomit my idea on the canvas

there are some where I don’t have the patience or the project is too big (ex. the panels) and figuring out the anatomy would be too time consuming, so i trace the pose but i’ve been trying to do that less and less to make myself actually work and get better at anatomy

and what shaped my artstyle? wow that’s a hard question lol, idk

I think i’ve picked things from artists i’ve liked and just created a frankenstein of it, little by little and without realizing it.

not that my art looks ANYTHING like theirs, but these are some of the artists that have inspired me a lot through my art journey

Childhood me would never think I’d be somewhat shipping Optimus and Megatron but like… yeah I understand what y’all are getting at in your tumblr posts. (Fr though, their friendship was so sweet. D-16’s betrayal really did hurt. And it’s been a while since I’ve seen such a well done relationship like that in the media. They’re just two silly lads who genuinely cared about one another and yet got driven apart by vengeance.)

Every single time Bee said “Badassatron” I’m sobbing— He’s such a goober. Bumblebee was always my favorite as a kid, so I have a soft spot for him (even if Orion and D16 were my favorites in this film). “KNIFE HANDS” he’s a safety hazard. (Also him being slightly insane and making inanimate objects his friends to talk to and being self-aware that they’re fake— I AM STEVE?!)

Sentinel essentially saying “Nu-uh” to D-16 when he was rambling about his plans.

Why did they keep saying miner? 😭

Starscream is such a neeerddd per usual. Dang he’s simping for Megatron (I’m kidding y’all, I miss poking fun at the silly plane man)

Trion basically adopted these tiny 4 robots and yes it is canon 💯 (Bro shouldn’t have died, I wanted silly dad shenanigans 😭)

Orion- “Hey Darkwing, my finger can transform”. Meanwhile D16: *knocks Orion the heck out and then proceeds to get punched by Darkwing* My favorite part of the movie ngl

The boys are just casually scared of Elita. Girlboss 💅 (Also I love that her and Arachnid had a fight. I vaguely remember them having a fight/maybe rivalry? In Transformers Prime. Speaking of which, I need to rewatch that. Its been years and I never finished it)

I’m sorry but the whole “Starscream” namesake and then D-16 damaging his vocal cords is obvious irony but still. Nice touch.

Orion’s whole arc and relationship with D-16 is sad when you pair it with how they are in other iterations. Like, the reason Orion/Optimus would’ve been a stickler for the rules and order was because he was afraid of losing someone again like he lost D-16. (I can’t remember if their backstory is the same all across the board, its been a while since I brushed up on transformers stuff)

The animation was genuinely very pretty. I love the little magic sand particles and the way Megatron’s eyes have a glow trail as specific examples.

The child in me kept kicking my legs and screaming at the references. The mask! Roll out! When D got his signature arm gun I internally lost it. And Chris Hemsworth’s voice at the end of the film was a really really good Optimus voice.

“Is it… getting closer?” Meanwhile Bee: *running away for his life* (both him and Orion running at the start of the film absolutely took me out)

Okay I might do a follow up to this tomorrow, it’s late and I have work in the morning. I’ll think on some more things I want to add as well as some headcanons! Stay tuned!

🖤Dark AU: Reader, Kurt, Kitty, and Pietro end up dying, and end up in the future, where their friends and family have taken a turn for the worst, and won't let them go...

• 🌓Meet Me In The Woods🪶 AU: Creed Reader in the Dark AU, so it's, well, darker, in a way, and the teens either are with them, or Creed Reader is on their own, trying to avoid mutants, while discovering things have changed in quite a drastic way...

• 🦴Harpy Hare🍂 AU: Dark AU, but in a fantasy or mode fantasy setting

🐝Hivemind🧪 AUs: Where the characters fall under a hivemind or become a hivemind, and Reader is usually trying to escape it, or was part of it and now is free from it (can be mixed with a Drone AU)

🧪Drone AU: Where the characters fell to an experiment that made them obedient, and Reader escapes from it; after relaxing one of their own is missing, the rest gain back some of their freedom, and take over, and now are trying to fund Reader and bring them back, willing or not...
