I can't tell you just how heartbroken Wonders of Ohio left me. I've only ever felt that way with one other fic, and even then WoO topped it. Unlike WoO, the other fic had a very clean cut ending to it (they both died at the end rip) so I wasn't left to my own thoughts about what could've happened after. Which might be why WoO has been absolutely haunting me for the past two days, it hasn't left my mind at all. I think about certain moments, the ending, oh god ESPECIALLY THE ENDING, AT LEAST once an hour. I get that familiar feeling of my throat drying up and my eyes begin to water when I think about it. Another reason being the way you write. I was able to immerse myself into the story and imagine what I was reading in my head, one specific case of this I remember was when Draco made Reader and himself late to school. When he was fidgeting in the passengers seat, his hair unkempt, I could almost see him. I imagined draco with his messy platinum hair, wearing a muggle polo shirt because its just so posh rich kid of him, nervous as he leaned over the middle compartment into the backseat as he performed that glamour spell. I've never been very creative and imaginative but with your writing it was easy for me. It reminded me of how I was able to do the same when reading the Harry Potter books, being able to almost live in that universe in my head was so refreshing. Anyways this is really long, SORRY, but when I saw that you also had a Tumblr (as I originally read your stories on AO3) I just had to look. I scrolled through your page for a while and I gasped when I eventually saw that you posted what you started on writing for a continued ending? (I don't know how to phrase it I'm sorry 😭) I read it and while WoO is still breaking my heart over and over again, I think I'll be able to think about it for longer than 5 minutes at a time without bursting into tears now. So thank you. 🩷

anyway some points i’d like to hit (apologies for the length but i just wanted to give this the response it deserved):

1) first of all THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHABKYOU this was genuinely the highlight of my whole year. people like you are the reason i write and i’m being so genuine when i say that this message is like the kind of stuff i dream about getting as a writer. so in conc i’m kissing you on the mouth you didn’t need to but you wrote all of this out and for that i’m forever grateful

2) some thoughts on the ending: first of all IM SORRY lmaoo. i’ll let u in on a little secret: i actually originally planned on a completely different ending where y/n ended up using the box right off the bat and went back to england and spent the last half of the fic learning magic and interacting with the golden trio crew/the malfoys. i told this to a few writer friends and they made me realize that it wouldn’t be as useful in actually answering the silly question that i based the whole fic on (what would draco do if he was plopped in the middle of muggle america?). i decided then that i really was more interested in learning how draco’s character would develop as he came to love someone who was fundamentally differently from him (and didn’t first go through a change that departed from her basic character traits). from then on i realized that a happy ending wouldn’t involve either of them giving up their world at the end of the summer, since they needed to grow up a little bit (and at that point i was old enough to find the idea of giving up your entire life for a relationship at 18 completely terrifying). hence the sad ending…but i think in the long run it means that they end up having a much healthier dynamic later on!

3) if you want to know about what happened after the deleted scene you found: i left the ending so open because i always thought i’d come back to write another series where i explored what happened after, but i don’t think i’ll end up doing that so i’ll tell you what i was planning. i always imagined y/n eventually going to england after graduating and getting established in her career and learning magic (because like literally who wouldn’t if presented with that option). draco is just kind of like a stay at home husband who’s just psyched to be there.

4) thank you so so much for your note about how immersive WoO was!! i’m ngl i’ve always struggled with incorporating imagery into my work. i spent my formative years avoiding anything i considered to be purple prose and that really reflected in my writing. i’m not a super visual person so if i could mention the 3 details i think are important in each scene and could just get on with the meat of the plot, i would, so i’m so thrilled to hear that it was able to give you that experience as a reader despite the fact that i’ve always been worried that i can’t 🥹 thank you again for telling me all of this bc it genuinely warmed my heart i know that this is a little disjointed but oml this like made my day

yue is captain!!! (@s-suki ur brain is huge and i luv u) so from what i know being a captain is a looot abt politics and u know our girl yue is good at that, not to mention how much her crew loves her bc she gives everything for them

sokka is navigator, one look at the stars and he knows where they are instantly, he charts a course in record time, captains have in fact fought over him but he is nothing but loyal to his captain!!!

aang spends at least half his time in the sails, as lookout and keeping knots secure(? idk shit abt sailing haha) he’s also the fastest one they got, no matter if he’s running, swimming or paddling a small boat

suki is the best fighter they have bc of course she is (also theres no misogyny in this bc i said so) grown men shit themselves when they see her / also shes boatswain (the boatswain was in charge of a ship's anchors, cordage, colors, deck crew and the ship's boats, and would also be in charge of the rigging while the ship was in dock)

toph! makes! bombs! also if u give her a gun that u found thats been underwater for three months and u give her like 2 hours, not only is it completely functional afterwards but it somehow works better than before?

katara is quartermaster and shes def like 30% of how yue keeps her crew in line

haru is ship cook (i know this has zero connection to canon but have you considered boi soft and warm like bread)

teo is the ships carpenter (highest ranking if they got more than one)

jet is a fighter obvs, also him and sokka do NOT get along but yue has this real icy stare that makes them both shut up immediately

smellerbee is dating toph and yue is not opposed to their relationship but does make sure theyre not around eachother too much when explosives are also near bc those 2 def get up to some wild shit

longshot is obvs the best shot they have and is the other lookout

appa is a parrot and he spends all of his time being adorable

momo is still a lemur and just steals so much shit

on to the firenation

ozai rules over a whole ass port/island or smth idk but like all the pirates have to deal with his fucking bullshit

zhao is his 2nd in command and yue at some point guts him 😊

azula is of course captain of her ship and she rules with an iron fist

mai is first mate (making any possible future betrayals that much worse)

ty lee is ship medic and just constantly gets underestimated in fights and wins like right away

zukos life motto on azulas ship is 'i hate it here' bc his job is basically everything nobody else wants to do (until! he is no longer on the ship. does he get pushed off the ship to drown? does he leave in the night with all the valuables he can carry and a map of a great prize? idk, YOU DECIDE)

more thoughts on zuko:

i dont think he’d join the gaang right away after he’s no longer with the fire nation but would first like half-die on some island (even if he didn’t get kicked off, i just imagine he’d do smth drastic like think he can sail a ship without getting lost just bc he’s spent a lot of time on a ship but like, honey no, navigation isnt as easy as it looks) bc zuko alone u kno

iroh is still his uncle in this, but zuko doesnt know that, so he thinks he’s just this weird hermit guy that finds him and takes him in

zuko is like "what does he want? what his secret agenda? how will this guy use this against me?" and iroh is just like "boy! eat something but also are u like okay? u want some cryptic advice thats consisting of 60 ocean metaphors?"

iroh does tell him hes his uncle tho and that he left when zuko was really young and he wasnt the only one who ran from that house that day...

URSA IS ALIVE!

she had been banished by ozai and threatened with zukos murder if she had stayed, ozai wouldve killed her but he knew he couldnt take her in a straight fight and if she had been the type you could assassinate they wouldntve ever gotten together anyway

now shes vibing with iroh and lu ten, because yes lu ten is alive (listen if there is any feasable way of my boi to be alive he is!!!)

also they’re def supporting everyone who opposes ozai as asafely as they can on whatever weird remote island theyre at

once zuko joins the crew of the avatar, sokka laughs like straight five minutes abt zuko thinking he could navigate his stolen boat after not even learning how to properly read a map, not to mention everything else that goes into navigating and zuko is like "fuck u" and sokka is like "lets show u how to read a map so this doesnt happen again" still with tears of laughter in his eyes, and maybe later when hes been on the crew for longer and maybe saved sokkas life in a fight, sokka teaches him abt the stars too and cue zuko pining after the way too beautiful guy trying to explain constellations but zuko just keeps getting lost in his eyes and being hyper aware of how close sokkas arm is when he points out specific stars

the reason zuko joins them in the first place is bc the avatar is the only crew that could protect him against azula and ozai and they’re the only ones willing/able to go up against the fire nation

also katara is the first to see zuko after he parted with the fn and she like immediately has a sword to his throat and boi just fucking faints

maybe jee is also a captain in this bc i really like it when the wani shows up in fanfics and maybe they’re not on good terms with ozai but they’re flying under the radar bc its just a small ship and they do bring in their percentage so maybe zuko joins his crew before he goes to find the gaang?

now some general thoughts:

the dai lee is the chinese navy out to get them all

miyuki is one of their highest ranking officers and gives the pirates a run for their money, but weirdly never goes to chase the Avatar

hakoda is also a captain but he’s working under ozai to take the operation down from the inside (also yes of course his husband bato is also there with him ^^)

kue is absolutely some weird hermit guy

hey love! can I rant to you about true beauty? I need to unleash my anger out towards this kdrama. U know I gotta say that the show started off pretty good for me it had some laughs and smiles. I was rooting for suho for maybe 1-2 episodes until he started giving her the most mixed signals and that one scene where he was getting ready for the game and jugyeong talked with him getting excited for the movie they planned AND THEN he started being so fcking rude saying he only said yes or smth bc he pity her are you kidding me? even if seojun said smth to him the day before you don’t say that shit oh my god ever since then I stopped rooting for him in general let alone him and her together. Also why is no one mentioning that suho treated her like a slave ever since he knew her secret? making her run his errands and making sure she does them fast. His character just pisses me off like we all get it he suffered through a lot of shit in his life but still he was a shitty character. I can go on and on about how many cons there is with this character and don’t even get me started on when he told JK that he would follow her around, beg her and cry to her if she ever moved on during his time away and if she doesn’t want him back HE WOULD SEDUCE HER?? SORRY BUT AINT NO WAY PPL WOULD THINK THIS IS CUTE. It was bad enough he didn’t bother to contact her for 2 years and now this? his stans justify this?? Anyways JK really pissed me off sorry but you’ve been around seojun for whole 3 years and you have not shown one ounce of love towards him as friends it’s like not realistic like we KNOW you’re in love with suho but really? u can’t show some love towards ur friend who’s been there for you since the beginning and helped you with so much? And when he confessed she didn’t even bother. Like at least show that you’re flattered or something. Seojun is understanding and he knows u arent into him like that but he’s never asked you for anything and you can’t even give him that. the stuff he gave her it wasn’t mentioned again. ESPECIALLy the flowers she FORGOT about them are u kidding me? when seojun told her that suho was leaving again he basically helped her and didn’t text him thank you or even apologized. but she did that later on but it was a lame ass one saying you’re grateful.. but for what tho? What are you grateful towards seojun for? I doubt you even pay attention to what he does for you. But you’re head over heals for someone who treated u like a slave and doesn’t let you talk to any boys. In the end seojun deserves so so much better he carried the show on his back along with his gang, his sister and Jk’s brother and sister as well. Seojun forever bestest boy who I will love and adore forever. I’m glad true beauty is over and I would not want a second season although I really wish they wrote the ending differently and did the time jump differently but we can’t always get what we want 😔💔 sorry for the long ass rant I’m just so angry lol

idek what to say about ju kyung because yes she isn’t obligated to reciprocate seo jun’s feelings but i wish the writers would’ve at least let her figure it out on her own that he liked her... they didn’t even do that?! even after he confessed she was like ‘he’s joking’ and that pissed me off more than her rejecting him in the end!

it all just comes down to bad writing... the writers probably thought they were doing something groundbreaking but for me it just felt like i was watching a worse version of start up but at least in start up the business stuff was interesting in true beauty they didn’t even handle the whole ‘unrealistic beauty standards and self esteem issues’ plot properly???? your rant is 100% justified i completely understand where you’re coming from and it’s just simple things the writers could’ve changed/done that would’ve at least made this show more bearable to watch!

9th April 2021. Let's rewind.. n go back to 9th April 2020. There was such happiness, curiosity, impatience in the mind of all your fans. There was a reason why fans were in a state of frenzy.. Well..... our prince was making a comeback in a new web series.. which was a different genre for u. Finally after an excuirating wait... 'The Raikar Case' debuted on voot. Many of yours binged watched the series.. I wanted to see more of ur scenes... but then realizes that ur working with stalwarts @Atul sir and Ashvini bhave..there was so much to learn from them. Finally the moment arrived.. 'mohit naik raikar'made an appreance.. it was like time stood still. After few seconds I realized it was U and it reinforced the fact that you are a fine artist. A man who has been neglected since childhood from both his dad and mom.. dad had made a decision that the baton will be carried forward by etasha (your sis).. you were manipulated by your mother.. my reading of ur character was... that all ppl around u... were milking u for their own selfish needs. You never got the love n affection from ur dad. You craved for it..and I think that was the reason why u turned to hansal mehra.. It was he who filled up the void in ur life. The break down scene....where all ur defences crumbled and hugged ur father.. brought tears in my mind. And ur performance sent shivers down my throat.. And when sakshi (mom) gives u spiked milk.. I got a feeling u know what will happen next ..the ending was a cliffhanger.. 1 YEAR OF MOHIT NAIK RAIKAR

It's always a pleasure to see @kunalkarankapoor onscreen. He is one of those brilliant actors in the industry who has the ability to connect the audience to the story and the character. You can almost read the character's mind through his eyes. You can feel the character through him. Mohit was a twisted character with a lot of complexities. You can understand from the very first scene that Mohit is carrying some baggage. There's something that is tearing him apart from inside. He is wearing a mask of calmness but his eyes are telling a different story. Infact, The mysteries, pain and gulit suppressed in him making him restless. Mohit's relationship with both his parents is complex. He is ignored by his father and controlled or rather used by his mother. Mohit knew his mother was wrong but still couldn't revolt because she was his weakness and Sakshi took of that. He doesn't want to loose the attention and love of another parent. In front of Etasha he was often seen loosing his patience. The pain and the torment suddenly becomes visible in his eyes in those moments. Very naturally, he also craves the love and attention that Etasha gets from their father and hence he has a feeling of jealousy towards his sister. Parents play a very important role in shaping the relationship of siblings and here Yashwant and Sakshi made their relationship worse. Even though Mohit had a family but still he was lonely. And to make that loneliness even worse guilt and innumerable secrets made his existence even more painful. And in the last episode he broke down in front of his father in the hope of some solace but he was left alone again. All Mohit wanted and needed was acceptance and love which he never got from his family.

Kunal sir portrayed all these complexities and turmoil's in Mohit's life just brilliantly. He didn't have many scenes or dialogues but his eyes were enough to make us empathize with Mohit. - Happy_escapism

It isn't that Seth has any hatred for Magnus out of how his actions have effected Pickles. No, he doesn't give a shit about that, it's just that as soon as he meets Magnus, recovering in a hospital post-Doomstar? (because there's a whole thing of Toki wanting to see Magnus rehabilitated even as everyone else goes He Literally Tortured You and Held You Captive Are You Serious??!!!??, and it's decided that once Magnus is well enough, he'll start said therapy, rehab, etc. with the Dethklok Australia branch to keep him away from the lads until everyone is ready for that huge step.)

He HATES him. Like, looks at him and first thought is 'what a dick.' He doesn't care to tear that apart more though, even as he complains to poor Amber about it.

"So...you're into him. That's why you hate him right now." And she doesn't even have to look up from her phone to tell him that. She has all the drunk girl in a bathroom wisdom, without needing to be drunk.

He doesn't believe her. What utter bullshit, right?

And Magnus thinks little of Seth. Nepotism is what got him his job, what a dick! What good does he even bring to the job? None that Magnus can see.

"So... you're like, into my husband. You can have him, if you want," says Amber as she texts Abigail. They have been dating on the side for nearly a year. Seth still has not noticed, despite the monthly trips Abigail has made out to the Australian branch, where she did in fact sleep with Amber the entire time.

Magnus is disgusted. Him, into Seth? Fuck anyone who would suggest it!

They hit the year mark of Magnus being a technical Dethklok Australia employee/ward of the branch and uh. Well.

Him and Seth spend the weekends together now. They... actually hang out. They have fun. Turns out they both like the same shows, same stupid board games, same comedians, and whatever they don't both like, they don't despise so much that they won't endure it for their...

Fuck. Their friend.

"Are you guys ever gonna fuck?" Amber asks as she shows off the baby to Abigail via Skype. Abigail has proposed, and once things are formally ended with Seth, can't wait to adopt the baby and be a mum with Amber. She'll be the working mum, yeah, but she's ready to settle down. Amber will be the stay at home mum, and on weekends they'll get plenty of time together, watching the little one grow up.

Seth and Magnus, sobbing together on the couch over their favourite (and secret) romantic drama from the 40s playing on the huge TV, are too busy with themselves to answer.

"They're gonna be together forever!" They sniffle and cry in one voice.

"Oh my fucking gooooddddd," replies Amber, who has had the divorce paperwork ready for over three months now.

Seth signs the papers and the divorce goes on without a peep from him, not even at the page that says he'll agree to two visits a year with the baby, and to let Abigail adopt the baby ASAP, making Amber and Abigail the main parents.

Is he sure of what he signed? Not clear, but either way, he doesn't care about it. Amber moves out to be with a thrilled Abigail, and Magnus moves in.

Because friends wouldn't let friends be alone during a huge life change like this, right?

"For your own sake, just fuck him already. And like, ya know...date and shit. You'll both be happier once you do." Amber says before she leaves and washes her hands of their slow burn nonsense.

They spend the nights together. They cook together. Go to movies together. Make a chore chart that's followed surprisingly rigidly. Grocery shop together. Maybe jack off a few nights together.

Like friends!

Until all of a sudden it hits Magnus that oh god

1) hi my sweetest and loveliest angel!! im here to throw my hat in the ring for this debate!! so actually when i really think about it, you've made me want oc to be with literally everyone!!! (except jin in this fic so i hope he chokes) but realistically i think i see jimin or jungkook with oc the most and here's why!! okay so jungkook and jimin are both in love with oc, and i think that they both bring out something in her that i think is so beautiful and that's them loving her the way she is.

2) you know this whole time, her parents and jin haven't loved her the way she is at all, and that's so fucked up bc she really deserves better!! they both support her and care for her!! OKAY SO i really really cant help but want jimin and oc together bc okay jimin and oc's history right!! like he was really there for her when all of her family stuff went down!! and the way jimin and oc care for each other and how right they feel together!!! how oc reassures jimin that he means the most to her

3) BUT ALSO i love the way jungkook and oc are together and how it feels like they understand each other which can be really hard to find and the way they've both opened up to each other about their pasts, when arguably they're both the most closed off and distrusting people in this world, which is absolutely fair! but when i really think about jimin and oc definitely have issues that would make them not work! like oc couldn't mail the birthday card to her family in front of jimin bc i think

4) she's afraid of disappointing him, in the sense that jimin knows she deserves better family wise right so he really wants her to move on probably from her family which involves not contacting them! but in this sense, it's not helping oc bc jimin wants better for her so badly that he's not understanding that it's really hard to just cut ppl out! So this is where i think that jungkook is definitely better here, but this might stem from him being an outsider and not being there when it happened

5) another is that i think that jimin probably pushed hobi to date oc and kept it a secret from her, which is definitely not healthy and peak men behavior, because he doesn't want her to be with jungkook who's too like him and how he pushed her away when oc started seeing jungkook! there's also plenty of issues with jungkook tho, i know he's been supporting her and even got her expensive water colors bc he supports her art, which is all really really great but he's still technically trying to

6) keep him and oc on the down low? okay i am also in love with just one jungkook!! and right now, yes it does look like there's loads more issues with jimin than jungkook but honestly i think its pretty similar to jimin but it manifests differently! jungkook is also just as scared as jimin is with pursuing something with oc! they haven't taken it past sex, because at the end of the day, he's scared! jimin is also scared, but i think there's another layer of oc and jimin being friends first

7) and not wanting to ruin what they give to each other. anyway, basically all this to say is that i think both jungkook and jimin would be great for oc, but at the end of the day, they both need to really address their own fear and insecurities to be able to fully be there for oc!! all i want is oc to be happy, and she really deserves it! also this is also just me spouting a bunch of stuff so if im wrong, then that's okay!! do whatever you want queen!!! i'll be happy if you're happy!

my brief review on what i watched on netflix this xmas season: 

virgin river: i skimmed watched this as in , like, I watched the first episode all the way through and then skipped ahead to different scenes bc it was so slow. it takes forever for this show to get to the point. the main character runs away to the middle of nowhere, north california (fm los angeles) bc of some mysterious trauma they only show in brief flashbacks. did her husband leave her? did he die? was it bc she couldn’t have a baby? did he not want a baby? I dont know. im still not sure. she’s a nurse but the doctor she’s supposed to work for is old and sexist and doesnt let her do her job. and this goes on for like, maybe the whole 10 episode season. the mayor is his ex wife??? i found that out by luck and also she’s super nosy. they keep saying every body knows every body in virgin river, i have to believe it bc only 5 ppl are ever shown. this show sucked 2\10 bc the scenery is nice. 

three days of christmas\dias de navidad: netflix this year is really into foreign language xmas mini series. this one is fm spain. it is three episodes long, about 4 sisters and the different stages of their life. the first episode is really good. an entire family kinda commits murder by not saving this really terrible officer’s and by doing so they save a girl’s life. she becomes the 4th sister by adoption. after that, it becomes kind of...i dont like what happens to these women afterwards. I dont like their idea of sisterhood. it’s not badly acted. i watched it all the way through bc i wanted to know what was gonna happen. if anything that first episode is really good. 7\10 bc a family that commits murder, should stay together. 

home for christmas\Norwegian mini series: six 30 min episodes of a nurse who’s single and made to feel bad by her family bc she’s alone so she lies at a family dinner and says she has boyfriend to bring for xmas dinner. the premise is solid. she goes on dates but theyre all terrible. one guy tells her that her favorite movie ‘love actually’ sucks. another, loses it at an escape room and then causes a fight at xmas party bc she rejected him, another is really into sports and fitness. i expect these things but the series loses me when they have her, a 30 yr old, date a 19 year old for most of these episodes. and then get dumped by him and then have her cry about it. an older female nurse shows interest in her and almost goes down on her on a bus but the show doesn’t let them progress further. they even have the character go a bad spa date with a much older polititian who was her patient, but again it doesnt go further than that bad date (in which she runs into parents--at a nude spa). there is a male doctor who you can tell is interested in her but is shy but they never let that develop either. they only have him tell her his feelings for her at the very end. on top of that she has roomate\’best’ friend who doesn’t respect her privacy, messes with her dating profile, burns all her presents down and somehow at the end gets rewarded with a boyfriend. everybody has somebody by the end except the main character. it ends with the doorbell ringing and her answering the door and then roll credits. absolutley not worth ur time. 1\10. 

holiday secrets\german mini series: this is like spain’s \three days of christmas but also like mamma mia?? bc of a missing dad?? there’s a character fm the past named ‘alma’ which i thought was nice. and also two sisters instead of four. the younger sister is kind of annoying. and that’s all i can tell you bc i feel asleep while watching and i didnt have the energy to try again. 5\10 bc my name is in it and there’s nice beach scenery. 

falling inn love: this isnt a xmas movie as it came out in the early fall i just feel the need to vouch that it is a very good little romcom. christina millian is so charming and the male lead is very good looking. and its very rare for these types of movies to have two attractive leads. 9\10

holly holiday: this is not on netflix, its on hulu. and its misleading. its about a male mannequin  coming to life but he isnt the male lead. it’s some photographer who works with the female lead who is an ad exec. the photographer guy is really annoying hipster dude who thinks he’s knows things. anyway the female lead gets hit in the head and gets rescued by the mannequin and im gonna tell u rn that this plays into the ‘it was all dream’.  she only dreamt the mannequin came to life and instead she was in the hospital with a head injury for 3 days. she ends up with the annoying photographer. the writers of this movie were legit cowards for not letting her fall in love with a mannequin who becomes human via the power of christmas.  0\10. 

the knight before christmas: i wanted to love this. i admire how they allowed things to happen with no explanation. but there were no stakes in this. and its sadly, kinda forgettable. 7\10 bc hudgens is too charming for her own good and i had some good laughs.

the christmas prince: a royal baby--i did watch this and it will be getting its own post. however...for ratings sake...and perhaps i am sentimental but...8\10

the spirit of christmas: if you watched ‘last christmas’ this season , like i did, and you hated it--well the spirit of christmas is for you. it delivers what you need out of the romcom\ghost genre. i watch it every year. 10\10. is that biased? maybe. idc.

born on october 5th, 1999  ( this is literally a day before my bday ooc but anyway ajkdhsjdh )  in rochester, new york, blair’s first impression of the world was a crisp autumn day

she was her parents first and only child. her mother was an elementary school teacher, while her father worked at a nearby power plant in ontario

the family never made too much money, but they were able to get by, at least at first

she had a fairly happy childhood, though it was a lonely one. her father was always working odd hours, and with her mother gone during the day, she spent most of her time with a babysitter and the family golden retriever

eventually, she herself started going to school. she immediately excelled in the english department and fell in love with reading. blair realized early on how much she enjoyed escaping reality with a novel, immersing herself in a story so exciting compared to her dull life

almost everything was fine until her high school years. aside from the fact that she never had a present father figure, she was closer to her mom and still loved by both of her parents. however, when her high school years came around, her father lost his job

her father was the families main provider, and her mothers salary alone would not be enough to take care of the entire family. while he searched for another job, they had to give away the family golden retriever to one of blair’s aunts because they couldn’t afford the extra cost :(

on top of losing her beloved pet, the loss of her father’s job prompting the family to pick up and move their entire life

already in the midst of high school, blair had to leave her life as she knew it behind. the family moved to statesboro, georgia, and her father found a job at the nearby power plant

the transition to life in georgia was not easy for blair. though she didn’t exactly have trouble making friends, she didn’t feel like she could truly connect with anyone

once again, blair turned to losing herself in a book to pass the time

shortly after the move to georgia, her parents experienced some difficulties within their marriage. they ended up separating, and blair spent the remainder of her high school years living with each of them for half of the time

she did not mind her parents separating, as she knew it was for the best. however, her father found a girlfriend fairly quickly, and blair would eventually find out her father had been having an affair

her father spent most of his free time with his new girlfriend and her family. blair was upset at how he prioritized his the new people in his life over her when he was barely ever around for her growing up

meanwhile, her mother was having trouble adjusting to being alone, so she moved back to new york to live with her sister

blair stayed behind in georgia to finish high school, but knew she wanted to go elsewhere for college. she wanted to get as far away from her father and his new life as possible

once blair turned eighteen, she began to sell pictures for money. she wanted to earn as much as possible so she could afford to go away for university. she created an alias and began to sell pictures and videos of her feet. eventually, she expanded her horizons once she realized how much money she could earn

she never went as far as sleeping with her clients, but she would go on dates with them and spend the days with them to earn more money ( kind of like ludovica/chiara in the italian show baby on netflix minus sleeping w them )

she dated a few people throughout her high school years, and began to more “seriously” date a guy during her senior year in high school, though she knew the relationship wouldn’t last. despite appearing as a more serious relationship, to her, it wasn’t really anything of the sort, and she mostly wanted a relationship for senior prom and other trivialities

after senior year ended and she had accepted admission into uni in seattle, she basically cut ties with everyone in georgia aksdjskdjh she said good bye forever ! rip poor unnamed boyfriend he didn’t see it coming ...

her father also did not see it coming because she didn’t even tell him where she applied. but at the same time, did he ask ? no :/

once she left for uni, her relationship with her father became very very estranged. she still speaks to her mom on a pretty regular basis, but even then, she has a whole secret life and doesn’t feel particular close to either of them sjkdfhskdjh

she is definitely a friendly/sociable person. she can be pretty outgoing and loves to be around people. idk her mbti yet but she is def an extrovert ! ( she does tend to keep her feelings to herself tho )

despite her friendly demeanor, she does have a fiery spirit. if u wrong her she will hold a grudge against u until it gets settled/sorted. she can be more on the mean side when she’s upset, but even then she does not have a bad heart at all

when it comes to relationships, blair is all over the place. she can be very flirty/charismatic and is constantly hopping from one relationship to the next. she hasn’t quite been able to settle down, but it is possible. she kind of thinks being in a real relationship means losing her freedom, because that’s kind of what she saw happen with her parents, so she doesn’t really want to be tied down to someone in fear of losing herself in a way. does this make sense ? maybe ? ok !

blair has a fairly strong sense of self, but she’s still very young so she’s still growing and changing. she is the type of person to know what she wants and go after it ( yes, even with ppl ! ). she will stop at nothinggg to get what she wants ( oop ). u could say she loves the chase, but kind of gets bored afterwards unless u have more to offer !

omg she literally loves 2 be the center of attention. i mean, who doesn’t love attention ? but blair takes it 2 another level. she gets all :( if she’s being ignored or isn’t receiving enough attention

kind of bouncing off the whole attention thing, blair loves a good party ! she’s young and here for a good time. she def loves to drink at parties and stuff even tho she isn’t legal here in the us, why should that stop her am i right ? when it comes to drugs, she’s a veryyy casual user and doesn’t do anything crazy. a social weed smoker n will do pills here and there

being a libra sun with a leo moon, i think it’s safe to say she can be a bit dramatic at times ( i mean, as a libra sun with a leo venus i am not one 2 judge xx ). she reads 2 much and watches 2 many movies like ajkdhsjkhd life rly isn’t that serious but she can b a lil overdramatic sometimes whew ! we told u this was melodrama ... lorde stans make some noise !

blair’s fav books are anything by jane austen and les liaisons dangereuses by pierre choderlos de laclos, aka the book cruel intentions was based on ( which happens 2 be one of her fav movies )

shows she loves: gossip girl ( she shares a name w blair so she probably used 2 call herself queen b in high school or something ), desperate housewives ( no wonder this binch is so dramatic ), big little lies, pretty little liars ( the early seasons only ), the netflix show baby, and buffy the vampire slayer

movies she loves: clueless, almost famous, thoroughbreds, moulin rouge, palo alto, marie antoinette, coyote ugly, american beauty, cruel intentions, and valley of the dolls ( to name a few )

party buddies - this is pretty basic and self explanatory, but someone blair can go out and have fun with. their friendship might be more surface level, or started that way at least, but it’s possible they’re closer friends ( maybe she opened up under the influence and it brought them closer aksdhsdjh drunk blair def would )

ex-fling/gf/bf - blair relationship hops, so she could have quite a few of these. we can plot it however, there can b feelings there, they can hate each other, of they can be just friends now, u name it !

unrequited crush -  ur character could have feelings for blair, but maybe she doesn’t feel them back or is unaware that they like her. this could develop into her eventually having feelings for ur muse or not, whatever we want ! OR blair could def have a crush on someone who does not like her back. maybe that person is super non-committal, or they simply do not like her back. we could plot this out however <3

current fling/friends w benefits - someone she is currently seeing/sleeping with. could be no strings attached, or there could b some feelings there. maybe they don’t want to make it anything serious, or maybe they’re ready to take it to the next level. maybe one person is ready to go further, and the other isn’t.

enemies w benefits - imagine the tension!!! they started out hating each other, but ended up hooking up. maybe it was a one time thing, or maybe they can’t stop going back to each other. i think it would b cool if they kept it a secret, they don’t want anyone else to know. this could develop in soooo many ways !

ex-friends - someone she used to consider a close friend, but they had a falling out for whatever reason n maybe they hate each other now. maybe they want to re-kindle their friendship but don’t know how

sibling-like friendship - someone she sees like a sibling. they’re there for each other and look out for one another, always have each other’s backs. being an only child and not really close to her parents, blair would love a friend that she could basically call family !

dynamic duo - basically like her current best friend. this person is prob one of the closest people to her and knows her very well ! they could b a power duo, always looking out for each other

rivals - they hate each other for whatever reason. maybe it’s jealousy or their personalities just clash, but for whatever reason they do not get along. i love a good enemies plot. they can just b nasty to each other !!! maybe they bring out a really bad side to blair that most ppl dont see. someone who makes her act like blair waldorf ( i’m def kidding abt the blair waldorf part )

bad influence - blair isn’t a goody-two-shoes by any means, but doesn’t really do anything crazy, so i’d luvv for someone to kind of influence her to do shit she normally wouldn’t on her own

these are all the plot ideas i can think of for now, but i’ll prob make a plots page later on and add more stuff !
