Ain't no way Hiccup the-first-ever-to-train-a-dragon Haddock, built-his-life-around-his-night-fury Haddock, knew-his-dragon-and-the-sky-better-than-himself Haddock, would have accepted to remain grounded for hypothetical ever after Toothless left. No way.

And more importantly, ain't no way Astrid the-queen-of-dragon-racing-who-married-a-man-with-the-soul-of-a-dragon Hofferson would have supported him cutting off half of his soul for some half-assed American-type end of story where "dragons aren't safe now so they have to leave and everything we built in the previous movie was for nothing anyway." I see a hot blooded trauma fueled man with an ego and daddy issues become an unwilling single mother who then steps up after multiple trials and errors to grow into a proper parent that fights tooth and nail for his daughter AND face said daddy issues head on for the betterment of his child thus reconciling and healing his own relationship with his father and bringing an enthusiastic grandpa into the mix

After rewatching Trolls World Tour, I just realized the relevance of the high five at the start of Trolls Band Together <3

It means they have a strong connection!

On the second movie he failed to talk with Poppy about their relationship and then she called him a friend. He got so caught up on that, that they failed to make a connection and having a good high five.

Failing miserably.

Just look at him, he feels so bad

Also I love how easy the confession was at the end

"And I love you too Branch" and Poppy and her little smile, that was the smile she used to give Creek before the whole fall out, she´s now smitten with Branch :) and she loves him too, what else can you ask?

the love was always there, they just needed to have a better connection, you know, the whole thing where she wasn't actually listening to anybody because she was too focused trying to be a good queen

Also I love seeing Branch happy, it´s so tender

And they finally have their perfect high five!

The thing about Back to the Future is that it is incredibly stupid, while also being genuinely good. Many things are stupid and bad, and since there is a particular joy that comes from liking stupid things, I will still gladly watch them, but there is something particularly compelling about a piece of media that is stupid and good at the same time. Which is why it has me in an eternal headlock.
