I love how Zoey gets her confidence after seeing her dad. Because she still thinks that he couldn't come. Which in her case would make her feel even better that he did come. That he's really trying to make a difference. Because Zoey still thinks that her dad has to do other stuff that night. But despite that he came to see her! That's what Zoey has on her mind. That's how Zoey is seeing this. Which makes it even more of a... important thing to her

Prove me wrong: If Aziraphale wasn't such a stickler for the rules...

Season2 plot could've been cut short by 90%, leaving more screen time for the romance between Crowley and Aziraphale to unfold. Maybe even changed the entire ending of the season.

Remember Jim's Box? The one that he had with him from the very beginning? When he literally had nothing else on him? Which was placed in the bookshop for the entire duration of the season (as well as the ominous fly), right after he knocked on the door and became Aziraphales Jimbriel Problem?

The one with the f*cking RED ARROWS ON IT, indicating which side goes up?

Which had the solution to the entire plot written ON THE BOTTOM?

Aziraphale literally asked a naked Jimbriel inside his shop, musters the box briefly (WITHOUT SO MUCH AS EVEN TURNING IT AROUND COZ WHY SHOULD HE - THE ARROWS POINT UPPP!!!), then places it in his bookshop and fills it with random crap that Crowley then has to jugg out after he already solved the riddle and figured out what he's actually looking for?

Yeah. That Box. So much for our master detective working on his "Clues", conveniently missing the first, biggest and MOST OBVIOUS ONE that was placed right in his hands in the beginning of this whole endeavor.

I’ve been obsessively watching every new rina youtube edit that comes out and this has me spiraling. Ricky saying that finding the drama club is the best thing that’s ever happened to him — it literally gave him the love of his life. Also the emphasis of the principal telling Gina to find something she likes about this school and not to break it — it explains why Gina was so sad throughout all of 2A. She thought she had broken the only thing she liked, the only person who ever saw her. I feel like people say she dismissed her feelings for EJ really quickly but it really seems like she was just almost tricking herself into trying to imitate what she had with Ricky with the next person who seemingly cared or saw her. And it didn’t work out because as much as EJ showed her ample kindness in season2, he was never Ricky. Anyway, sorry for the long ask. It’s just crazy seeing compilations of so many small moments that really put everything in place. Just like Tim revealing there was a planned kiss at homecoming. I just watched it and the little montage at the end was soooo 🥹🥹 ugh I don’t think I will ever love a ship as much as I love rina!!! And that’s exactly what I think happened with gina too! I know she was trying so hard to move on from ricky, but it’s obvious her feelings for him were still there deep into s2. She literally tells jack about her broken heart the same episode Elton shows up with crusty granola bar. But how do you move on from the best thing you ever had? You don’t. Gina never asked for the hat back from ricky. That is all the evidence I need that she still held onto some hope that he would come back around. But like ricky trying to replace gina with lily, it’s just not the same and both of them knew it. That’s why it’s so interesting gina used the same wording from her break up speech with ej in her confessional to ricky. She wanted ej to make her feel like a “yes”. She wanted that constant… because it’s what she had with ricky. But ricky isn’t just the guy who shows up (something EJ made very clear he is), ricky is the guy who stays around. He was everything ej was and more. Like you said, EJ tried s2 and I won’t discredit that, but he’s not ricky in the end.

And that 4x06 flashback changed everything imo. Every scene I watch for rina is so different now with that in mind. The homecoming fight, gina holding so tight to ricky s1, how ricky was able to let his guard down so easily around gina (and vice-versa), Gina’s earnest attempts at getting nini kicked from the show so she could be gabriella… I could go on and on, but it added a completely different layer to every rina interaction.

It’s no wonder we all start spiraling when we think about this stuff, because it’s meant to! The meta literally feels like it never ends. It’s amazing how in depth and thought out this ship really is. That’s why I said earlier I don’t think I will ever love a couple as much as I love them. I’ve never seen two characters more perfectly crafted to be together. They’re actually soul mates.

So...I have noticed a small trend while watching some of the Chinese anime...particularly when they involved romance.

Prince names in order:

Li Qiang, Xia Chunyu, Ye Youming, Nangong, and Xaio Jinyun.

Their all the same! Well not completely, however their the same in titles and attitudes, sure but personalities and how they treat their loves is different...eh, slightly. So, for fun, I'm gonna rank these dudes. Basically I'm going to rank based on who is the best lover for their loves.

5. Ye Youming, Psychic princess. Last on the very bottom is the prince i was turned off by the entire series. Sorry, if you like this guy, but everything between him and Yunxi was uncomfortable. For the entire time, the dude harassed her, was unsympathetic for her situation, and flat out said, he preferred to marry someone else on the wedding night. He then stuck his new bride to the cold palace, which was a run down and haunted area. True, Yunxi and Ye started to feel things at the end but i wish there was more love developed during the series. I mean, just cause he's last doesn't mean I hate the guy, there is something sweet I saw at the end but I wish we saw more of that.

4. Xaio Jinyun, no doubt in us: the only emperor and yea, he pretty much made his wife's life a miserable hell for a long time. The redemption quality is when he realizes being a girl isn't easy. He's super low on the list for one reason, its the face he never stood up for his wife against his mother and concubines, I get she loved him in childhood but at some point there has to be a limit to that type of toxicity. If it weren't for the body swap, chances are nothing would have changed.

3. Li Qiang. Memories of Chang'an. So here's my personal favorite. He's cool, cares for his wife and makes sure both he and Ming are safe which makes my heart melt. Yet, sadly I also had to real myself. He was super selfish in the beginning. Not once did he think that it would be hard for his wife as it is for him. Some of his words and actions would greatly turn me off in real life.

2. Nangong, Demonic king who chases his wife. ...both are number one for super long names. Back to topic. This anime was last on my list but after watching season2 its safe to say in personality, Nangong is the best. He isn't a sour puss like the rest, he's rowdy, a wise cracker and does have a sense of humor. He has the perfect personality for a lead who lost all trust in anyone else. He even gets points for starting a relationship the healthy way...by dating before marriage. So why isn't he number 1? Well, he did sorta snub his last girlfriend, pretty harshly too. He didn't even have a proper conversation with her...I didn't watch all of season 3 yet so maybe it happens then.

1. Xia Chunyu, Adorable food goddess, sorry, but I believe Chun yu is not only a great love interest but is the most realistic. Yes, he's cold in the beginning however he was undercover and any wrong move could spell his death. Afterwards though, he supports the female lead and aids her in and out of the kitchen, to top it off, Chun yu doesn't care if Jiayao isn't of royal or rich blood, he wants her for who she really is. Regardless if she dresses like a boy.

So this is my list. Its just my opinion, if you think different then please tell me. I'd love to read your opinions on who is a better lover.

i think my favorite thing about cdrunz has to be their dynamic. its so specific and im sure the cc’s didnt plan for them to be so devoted to each other to the point of worship and being in love- but somehow thats exactly what ended up happening. i also love their revival book arc and just them being really fucked up and evil. they deserve to be crazy more methinks.

as for fics- seeing the different scenarios writers put them in is really interesting and i love all the different takes on their dynamic, but my guilty pleasure has to be when writers really embrace the fact that cdrunz are fucked up mad scientists. any and all revival book centric fics are a must read from me. BUT ALSO i thought about our dsmp season2 that never happened and i would love to see any fics surrounding their dynamic in that new setting… maybe i shall start something myself….

i’ll definitely have to take a dive into ao3 because i have a feeling i’ve missed a lot of content since the last time i checked haha

Overall the revenge is not revenging🤣🤣 coz the plot twist in the ending was really twisting.

This drama have tempted and the heir vibe somehow and I enjoying it.

But the ending after the ending what is the meaning..I thought it's over and why Kang ha smiling and who's the dead guy?

Will there be season2?? And what will be the plot coz I thought everything is over

She end up choosing her mother and not go to new york..but low-key I think she prefer Kang ha coz she was using her and Kang ha memories on ri an🤪

The ending was good with everything is wrapped up and a clean ending for me except the ending after the ending.

I thought when the guy mentioned the 2nd coming that would change his mind me: there's a theory that the metatron basically drugged him to make him agree. other people have talked about abuse and love bombing. the one i agree with most is that he's trying to make things better for everyone and decided that that's more important than his and crowley's happiness. either way, i suspect he'll change his mind mom: There could be some drugging, but I agree with you, he will use his new power to stop something, then try to get with Crowley. Hopefully he doesn't self destruct first. Utsukushii Kare Eternal/Japan trip thoughts part 1

I posted a recap because a friend on twitter wanted to know what happened and I wanted to share what I saw so other interfans and interested folks could have a play by play recap of the movie. It got some attention lol but honestly I don’t mind because I think that’s what fan communities are for. I’m happy to be able to share and contribute for other fans.  I saw Utsukare Eternal three times in theaters because earlier I was collecting these movie cards and there were pre-purchased tickets and I wanted to use them. From talking with other fans and reading other recaps, there are some context/conversations my recap didn’t cover but I don’t think I wholesale missed anything. 

I also appreciate the comments and questions and I’m happy to answer and explain what I saw. I wanna add some more thoughts about seeing the movie, some preamble:

some bl movies aren’t “movies,” they’re recaps/recollections/reduxes of the prior seasons and based on the trailer, I felt hopefully Utsukare Eternal wouldn’t do that

with season 2 being released so close, I then wondered if it would be like Gameboys season 2 and Gameboys the movie meaning they would both share a lot of the same material but have different POV structure

I knew 100% there wouldn’t be subtitles but I’ve been a fan of anime and bl and other medium that is not in English and I haven’t ever been daunted or turned away from that 

ok so then I find myself in Japan for the first time and a new twist on my bl journey, specifically for Utsukushii Kare, has been trying to track down and keep up with their updates and presales and releases. It was a lot of fun but also meant I couldn’t really forecast or keep my schedule. I chose to keep pivoting and adjusting things to try and acommodate Utsukushii Kare since the movie was the anchor event of my much longer and ongoing Asia trip so I felt fine pushing back on other things to chase limited merch. 

ok ok so now for some movie thoughts

the return of Hira as the sole pov, I did really miss Kiyoi’s pov and narration but he got plenty of scenes without Hira and it’s not like he was absent or diminished but Hira had the sole pov spotlight

I also like that this installment in the Utsukare story for me showed that Hirakiyo are pretty solid as a couple but still have room to grow and things to  discover about each other but now the plot/narrative required outside forces

Kiyoi is still my number 2 favorite bl character behind Gav from Gameboys. Hira might move a spot or two so I need to think about where I want to place him in my rankings. 

the movie didn’t seem like a series finale conclusion but I think it could be a satisfying conclusion if it was the last installment 

with the movie pulling back to Hira as the sole POV, we did not see a lot of the original supporting cast and even Hira’s own supporting cast, Koyama, wasn’t in the movie a lot. 

I know there is another novel set after the novel the movie/season2 was based on, so there’s still canon to go 

I’m gonna miss Hira’s house but HiraKiyo having their own apartment could be really amazing

Kiyoi discovering Hira’s Kiyoi shrine was hilarious and also set up for the other obsessive fan

the bathtub scene was amazing

the two high heat scenes were good and the domestic fondness scenes were cute too

anyone who says the kisses and sex scenes are unnecessary are the feds and/or lame af

I love that Kiyoi is still sometimes shy but now Hira meets and confronts it directly and doesn’t let Kiyoi run away and by movie’s end, Kiyoi still gets overwhelmed/flustered by his feelings for Hira but he doesn’t turn away from Hira, he reaches out to him

Hira still is jealous and insecure at times for reasons that are completely unfounded as Kiyoi is as loyal to him as he is to Kiyoi but Hira always being Hira is just comforting to me too

my favorite visuals - the Anna waterfall photoshoot and Kiyoi’s last photoshoot and the classroom confession

the trailer shot of Hira taking Kiyoi’s picture with the sunset behind them absolutely is a top top top fave

HiraKiyo having the NaruHina run through their prior costumes was really cute, that’s what I love about when a visual medium leans into being a visual medium

I really hope it’s not the end of Utsukare and hopefully this box office success pushes them to continue

my first favorite was riko, i remember i got into love live in ~2016 (after sunshine season 1 but before season 2, before the first aqours duo-trio album as well) with my first actual taste of it being sif1 (rip....), i saw her at the screen to choose your starting idol(?) and i really liked her from that point. however, i think shes probably been overtaken by yohane for my favorite aqours member. recently yohane got an anime focused on her and ive been meaning to watch it but havent yet... i also need to finish sunshine season2 ive been procrasting SINCE IT CAME OUT!!! T-T

also, back then i considered myself to have a fave muse member (eli) but i barely interacted with muse in any of the games and only watched like 4 eps of sip so i gave up on labelling myself as having a fave muse member since it feels a bit wrong to do so when i know so litttle even though information is easily avaliable to me yk, however towards the end of me labelling myself as having a fave muse member it started to shift to kotori

when nijigaku (at the time pdp) was revealed i clung to kanata, however my fave nijigaku member is now probably lanzhu (she might be one you remember me talking about? possibly yohane as well), the only sifas season i fully(?) read was season 2 bc of her, thats the season she was introduced/an antagonist in, i want to watch the nijigaku anime to see her but i heard they changed her personality a bit so im a bit anxious. everyone hated lanzhu when she was first revealed it seems except me. also shes the only member i actually tried to read all of the bond stories of in sifas (rip........)

for liella, i forget who i liked when they were first revealed pre-anime, but i do like keke. i also think margarete will become a fave as well when she joins liella in the upcoming third season i already like her a little :3

i dont think ill be able to pin the exact reason why i like everyone - i just attach to a character and accept it i guess, but i can give a reason i like keke and why i think ill like tsuzuri!

keke - how much she wants to be an idol... even as a kid i wanted to make music in a way, and when i first watched aqours i guess the urge grew stronger, so its like im watching someone who has the same wish as me actually succeed in doing so...

tsuzuri - when her introduction video was released my first thought was "wow, i think people might describe her in ways i was described" (specifically, how i was once described as always seeming like im in another world or somewhere else mentally) so ive been predicting me liking her ever since. but i havent read too much about her yet so

Link Click Theories - Li Tianchen's Powers / True Culprit

So with the last episodes as always there have been many new theories swirling around. We got to see more instances of Li Tianchen controlling other people in the last episodes.

However what struck me as curious is that compared to the previous incidents, he didn't control his victims from afar by photos (okay there are not really photos of LG or CXS) but he had to touch them. I've been wondering whether he has two abilities then. Controlling by touching someone but also by diving into a photo. Or is his ability connected/activated by other factors?

It's also possible that he is able to team up with his sister, similar to how Lu and Cheng work together. She might be able to create a connection with pictures or maybe she somehow inherited Chengs powers when he controlled her. However after todays episode we saw that Li Tianxi is quite helpless and back to her broken self. So either she still has an ace up her sleeve or instead of her it was actually her brother that inherited the ability in this moment. Maybe by betraying her brother and giving Lu the photo, she accidentally created a perfect loop, where Cheng controlled her body. When shit is about to hit the fan and he hugs his sister, which might have lead to Cheng to being thrown out of her body. Probably because Tiangchens powers awakened then and he controlled his sister. However, maybe thats not all that happened. Maybe he also learned to steal/inherit a part of Chengs power and is then able to use photos as well. We still don't know how the siblings parents died but I'm very curious.

When the person that controlled Ling Quiao in S2 Ep1 confronted Cheng they also mentioned something about interest in taking away his power. So I've been wondering how would they take powers? By touch? Is Li Tiangchens power not to control people but actually to copy powers? Would he be able to use Chengs photo powers after he touched him, or Lu Guangs ability to view the future? Or would he have to kill someone to take the power? Maybe he gained the control power from his sister? Or maybe from his mother? After all their father was crazed that she was often followed by other men and betrays him? Maybe there's more to that if that were her ability?

However, it's also possible that someone is puppeteering everyone from the sidelines, like the character with the hat from the cover art of Season2. That person could be the true culprit and might have the ability to take away powers and just watches what Tiangchen is able to do with his powers. That or it could actually be Cheng's future self, after he breaks the flow of time in the next episode. He might end up meeting himself and his opponent or ally could be himself. It's possible that Cheng caused everything that happened and activated/gave the power to the person that commited all crimes, so maybe he was pushed to unravel it all and give everyone a happy ending.

This is still very speculative but it's made me suspicious. What is everyone else thinking? Head filled to the brim, too many thoughts.

On your list about TLOU things not spoke about often enough, Tommy’s grief really stuck out to me.

His grief over Sarah is completely overlooked/not even mentioned in either games or show and it’s crazy that we get nothing because a mid-20s guy watching his little niece bleed to death and likely blaming himself will scar him for life.

And then in the second game, everyone highlights Ellie’s grief and trauma and rightly so, so people make excuses for her behaviour but Tommy’s grief causes him to lash out in that one scene on the farm and he’s almost vilified by everyone because they overlook the pain he’s in. (Plus, he’s physically broken as well, and likely in pain over his marriage).

Just Tommy and his grief is crazy skipped over and that needs fixing in Part3/Season2

THAT 🗣️🗣️🗣️ (spoilers for tlou 2 under the cut)

Ashley Johnson herself said in the scene in the second part where Tommy comes to her at the farm house after he’s tracked down Abby and Lev that him coming to Ellie after everything and asking her to go back just shows how much he’s hurting in that moment. He’s hurting from the loss of his brother, his last connection to that little girl that died that night, so much that he’s putting this task on Ellie’s shoulders because he has become kind of a version of Joel because of his injuries (RE: “I was too damn deaf and too damn slow to stop them.” I think he says this in the workshop with Tommy in Kin??) and he thinks the only way to solve this pain that they’re all experiencing is to kill the person who caused it.

Violence begets violence begets violence. The entirety of The Last of Us is basically how far are we willing to go to say my kid/brother/partner/dad is more important than yours? Joel lost his daughter so he wasn’t gonna let anyone else take her from him and it destroyed both of them. Abby lost her dad so she took Ellie’s. Ellie lost her friend (Jesse) so she took all of Abby’s. Mel died with her baby and Abby was prepared to kill Dina even after Ellie told her Dina was pregnant. And if Ellie did end up killing Abby, that’s like Ellie losing Joel all over again. Lev would’ve come after Ellie and he wouldn’t have stopped even after she was gone.

And we, as fans and humans, can sympathize with both sides. So, why are we so mean and unforgiving to Tommy? A man who’s spent his life on a battle field, who lost the niece he helped raise, who did unspeakable things alongside Joel until he found a little bit of hope with the Fireflies and left. A man who lost his fucking marriage because he was so hellbent on revenge. In the end, Ellie leaves the closest thing she’s ever had to a home to avenge the closest thing she’s ever had to a parent.

She may not be a Miller by blood but she sure fucking acts like one.

Y'all okay I finished watching season2 and I think everyone deserves to be reminded both are traumatized by both Heaven and Hell.

They didn't get the ending of happiness but they also finally kissed. Which I loved how awful and desperate it is, It makes them partly human in a degree. Down to earth despite being higher entities.

And that's what makes me love the kiss so much, it's partly the key to their relationship. They are Angel and Demon but they've also lived amongst the humans so long they've partly became humans themselves giving them humanity. (They're not completely aware of how the culture works but they know enough to push through the boundaries).

They've been around humans for so long and seen what love is but never both actively put out for their actual feelings and emotions, It felt good, amazing, an absolute rush getting those feelings and thoughts into a kiss. It was something entirely new and yet familiar that they've known for years. Crowley has been holding onto the Angels words, thoughts, everything in memory even the smell of him. Running off like a romantic troupe, Run away far knowing heaven nor hell can find them. Side by side with his dearest angel, A Companion that they could never do without.

Heaven and Hell made the two ask questions, yet questions were always followed up by a question of authority and gave no answers. Both have seen the terrifying force of what can happen so think about it in their shoes;

"Give me Coffee or Give me Death"

I don't want to or like to think of the idea of Az turning Mettrons offer down would possibly be death, but he chose Coffee than to face death. If this means Crowley is also saved from Death then he was willing to go through with it..even if it was to bring Crowley from a nasty demise.
