She giggled “I love you more,” she said pulling away, “and now I want to hear every detail about what just happened in that hot tub!” she squealed pulling to me to the sofa and pointing out the window a clear view of the tub, I hid my face behind me hands, “Looks like Kitty the matchmaker was right again,” she said proudly.

It was a relief that Kitty was able to forgive me, we spoke a little about Min Ho aware that he could be lurking around anywhere, then we talked about my fall out with my parents, and I dropped them a text saying we should talk when they wake up. Before we knew it was well past one in the morning and we agreed it was time for bed.

I paused in front of Min Ho’s door questioning whether to knock and say goodnight or if that was too weird.

“You go girl!” Kitty whisper cheered walking towards the room we slept in last night.

I took a deep breath in preparation and knocked, “Come in,” the voice on the other side said and so the rest of the night was spent talking and cuddling, maybe this trip wasn’t a total disaster after all.

i’m about to close my instagram and step out to head back to campus when i hear stella and kitty.

“hey kitty, you’re friends with minho right?” i hear stella’s sickly sweet voice carry to where i’m standing.

summary: minho's on tour and you're a back up dancer on tour with minho's brother. you are also minho's childhood friend turned best friends (with benefits). but thats all there ever is! really!

hands entangled in the hair of the boy towering above you, lips in sync, minho's warm hands leaves a burning sensation around your waist as he pulls you in closer and closer - the feeling of want escalating throughout the enclosed space of his hotel room. sounds of his tiny whines and grunts occupying every second of your headspace, until… 

“kitty-”

you quickly push him away, halting every movement. silence. 

“what did you say?,” you asked, in shock of the name that slipped past his lips. 

“i-i said…pretty,” minho stumbles over his words for a second before his confidence returns, standing his ground and twisting reality. 

“you’re joking right?,” you let out a sigh, sitting up at the edge of his bed as he quietly joins you, slightly afraid. 

sitting side by side, you decide to end his torment, playfully nudging your shoulder against his “i knew you still liked her,” you giggled and he lets out a sigh of release, quiet laughter mixing in with yours.  

“i’m in trouble aren’t i?,” his shoulders droop down, looking like a defeated puppy, awaiting your answer.

“why don’t you tell her?” you suggest to the broken hearted boy beside you. 

“i already did that remember,” he reminds you. 

“how could i forget?...you facetimed me as you were leaving the plane and complained for a straight six hours about how much she’s missing out and that you’re the best there ever is and blah blah blah” you smiled at the memory, remembering the sadness in his voice, one that he tried so hard to mask off by playing it cool. 

“it was actually five,” he corrects you, the two of you bursting into another fit of giggles. 

“i also remember,” you say as the laughter dies down, “that you confessed to her literally the same day she broke up with dae,” you remind him. 

“yeah, and?...she still rejected me,” he argues back. 

“well, time can change things y’know?,” you point out, “but this thing between us is not gonna help you get the girl,” you continue, catching his attention. 

you knew that if you really wanted your best friend to be happy, you would have to spell this out for him.

“are you giving me away?” he playfully smirks, eyes on yours, as gentle as ever. 

“you were never mine,” a quiet laughter escapes your lips, replaced by a sad smile. a snap back to reality that this - this thing between the two of you, was never meant to be. 

pressing one last gentle kiss on his lips, you savor the feeling, completely aware that it's over. 

“friends?,” you whisper against his lips, forehead against his.

a part of the mooncovey fanbase is very biphobic and lesbophobic and we really need to shame them for it because it’s super annoying. like yeah i know you’re coming from tatbilb which taught you queers exist only in the form of the gay guy best friend for the straight girl protagonist but! jenny han has grown! have you not seen tsitp?! have you also not noticed kitty was never like lara jean?! she wore a mf suit to their dad’s wedding for god’s sake sigh. disrespectfully, if your ship can’t exist without lame excuses on why an alternate ship isn’t as “valid”, then your ship probably isn’t that great in the first place. which is sad, because mooncovey is an awesome ship.

pairing. minho moon x reader summary. in which something absolutely irrefutable lingers between you and minho. content warnings. reader can be lifted and carried by minho. nosy friends (ft. dae and kitty).

Q is the first to notice.

From the moment he brought you around, Minho had acted out of character. Not enough for most people to notice, but then again, Q isn’t most people. He was easily able to see how quickly his arrogant friend was absolutely taken by you. For the first time ever, Minho had been downright friendly to a complete stranger. It was clearly fate because the second you told Minho your name, he was done for—even if he hadn’t realized it at the moment.

Next, it’s Dae who finds out.

For someone who’s never cared about other people’s feelings, Minho sure has gone out of his way to make sure you’re never acquainted with the word no. Anything you could ever want and anything he could ever possibly give you, was yours. All you had to do was ask—or mention it in passing. Dae is almost certain that Minho would do everything in his power to make sure you never frown.

Finally, it’s Minho himself who realizes.

It happens on a random Tuesday evening. He’s humming against the rim of his porcelain mug, mood lighter than usual. The tea he brewed swirls a gentle amber as he languidly laps at the warm beverage. He shuffles back into the living area where you and his friends are waiting for him.

Minho registers the pause of the TV first before he realizes that the two seats previously occupied by his friends have been abandoned. He sees their figures kneeling beside the couch, and it takes him only half a second to realize the silence in the room has been replaced by your voice. It was groggy and barely distinguishable enough to be considered coherent.

His hip nearly collides with the corner of the couch when he hears Kitty’s squeaky giggle directly precede a snickering suggestion.

“Wait—Dae, ask her if she likes Minho.”

Minho tries not to slam his mug into the small coffee table. His eyes are almost murderous as the two idiots he begrudgingly calls his friends turn to look at him. “Stop bothering her. If you two wake her up, I—”

“But we’ve already found out some interesting things,” Kitty says in a singsong voice as she slowly shifts away from your sleeping form.

Minho raises an expectant eyebrow as he gently lifts your ankles to maneuver your slumbering figure and reclaim his spot next to you. His friends share a brief look when he lightly drapes your legs over his thighs. Minho’s eyes are trained on the slight wrinkle of your nose, his thumb unconsciously stroking the soft flesh peeking out from your leggings. “Is that right?”

“She admitted that I am smarter than her,” Dae says with a proud smile.

Kitty, positioned closest to your head, reaches her finger out to poke your cheek with a pouty bottom lip. “She just told me to shut up when I asked if she likes me the best.”

Minho snorts fondly. “Serves you right—”

“It’s probably because she likes you the best, Minho,” the annoying girl hums, continuing to poke periodically at your cheek. “Like likes you, that is.”

Immediately, Minho feels the creep of a flush warming the back of his neck as his eyes narrow. Just as he’s about to let his flustered brain speak for him, you shift and whine something entirely incoherent under your breath. You roll onto your back, hand weakly stretching out for the boy with reddening cheeks.

“Minnie,” the term of endearment you’ve only ever called him when you’re drunk and clinging to his arm for support spilled slips from the unaware pout of your mouth as your eyes remained closed. “I’m cold.”

Kitty’s laugh is so loud that her crouched figure falls sideways into Dae, knocking the two into a pile of breathy giggles.

“Told you!” Kitty squeaks as upper body bends over Dae’s head rattling against her stomach.

Minho forces himself to ignore the flamingly bashful aura that catches every visible inch of his skin as he slowly stands from the couch. The edge of his foot knocks the giggling idiots out of the way, taking their spot to crouch in front of you as his fingers reach to brush your hair away from your eyes.

“Angel, do you want to go to bed?”

Your eyelids twitch as if trying to mimic the widening of your eyes had they been open. The next words are slurred and almost indistinguishable, but they make his heart pound all the same. “Your bed?”

Minho manages to ignore the uproar from the figures to his right as he shifts to slide his arms under the crook of your knees and back. He easily folds your murmuring stature into his chest, grunting as he has to high step over the tangled limbs of Dae and Kitty.

“Yeah,” he mutters tenderly against your temple. “My bed.”

Your jumbled musings quiet down as Minho carries you away from the nonsensical noise in the living room. His heart is still pounded even as he gently lays you down on his made up bed.

While attempting to distract himself from feelings that have just slammed into him, his hands fumble into his drawers for a clean hoodie and shorts for you to change into. He barely crouches over your figure again, arm reaching over your waist to deposit the pile of clothing beside you when you grab the collar of his shirt and messily tug him to you.

With one eye peeled open, irises bright and pupil playful as the tiniest of smiles quirk at your mouth. “Just so you know…” you hum, reveling in the shocked surprise painting every corner of his expression. “I do like you. Like like you, I mean.”

Minho knows right then that he’s a fool for ever trying to pretend you could ever be a simple friend to him. So he swoops down, heart still thrumming with a foreign feeling, and presses a gentle kiss on the corner of your lips.

“I like you too. A lot.”

my hands instinctively run up his chest and delve into his hair.

we pull apart, needy for air; we’re about to go for a second kiss when there’s a knock at the door and the unmistakable voice of auntie jina.

my eyes widen, as i jump out of his lap and shove a shirtless minho into the bedroom and slam the door shut.

“yn hi im looking for yuri” auntie jina says as she steps in.

“shes not here right now, i can tell her youu came by though,” i say rubbing my sweaty palms.

“thank you,” jina says as she turns around to leave the room.

“and you can tell whatever boy is in the bedroom he can come out,”

Xo Season Two Spoilers

My hopes for a possible s3 and s4 of Xo Kitty and talking about Season 2

- Yuri was the one who suffered the most this season, my hope is they focus on her being poor and how it effects her. I also feel her and kitty never had a moment to actually talk through things on why Yuri kissed her or how she felt. I think we need a moment to talk about it hopefully in s3 or s4

- I personally don't think Kitty and Yuri should end up together, especially how season 2 went. I just think it wouldn't really work out either way because Yuri obviously loves Julianna, and there was a lot of miscommunication between them, and her having to cheat just to kiss her... they would be adorable but I think they're just better being friends but I think we should have a closure moment between them

- Given how S2 ended I expect to see a small portion of the season that will focus on Kitty joining Minho during summer break, which we'll see them grow closer, personally I don't want them to get together right away in s3 I would like build up between them and maintaining the platonic relationship, but I do hope for a kiss between them

- I would also like to see Kitty learn more about her mom next season as well and figure out about herself.

- I would also like to see how Yuri being poor will affect her friendship with Dae, I hope their isn't hard feelings but I expect there will be.

- I would like to see some of Q's family life in the next season and his relationship with Jin

- I would like to see Minho's mom hopefully next season

- I would like to see Julianna and Praveena as a couple, and hope that Yuri remains friends with Julianna.

- I would say in Season 4, pair someone with Yuri that isn't Julianna (I think they're better off) or Kitty, as long as we get that closure moment between Kitty and Yuri.

- I would like more Eunice and Dae

- If Minho and Kitty kiss next season, I wonder what would happen if Dae found out. I do suspect they would be in a huge fight, I would hope that he would understand that Minho has genuine feelings for Kitty but didn't want to hurt him.

- I would like to see Kitty and Yuri being better friends in season 3 and 4, compared to this season.

- Hopefully a Lara Jean appearance

- I would like to see more of Minho's family life

- I would like to see if Jin finds another passion that isn't running

- More of Lee and Kitty interactions

- More Alex and Yuri intereactions

- Hopefully Kitty becoming friends with Julianna
