Min Ho’s unexpected plus-one
Tumblr media
Min Ho Moon x girlfriend!reader
Summary: Min Ho surprises his friends with a girlfriend, and they can’t believe she’s real.
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~
If my heart beats any faster, I might actually pass out.
I smooth down my sweater for the hundredth time as Min Ho leads me toward the table where his friends—Dae, Q, and Kitty—are sitting. They’re deep in conversation, laughing at something I can’t hear, but the moment Min Ho clears his throat, all three heads turn in our direction.
“Guys,” Min Ho says, his voice casual but confident. “This is my girlfriend.”
Three pairs of eyes widen simultaneously.
“Girlfriend?!” Kitty is the first to react, nearly choking on her drink. She looks between us with the kind of shock I imagine she’d reserve for a major K-drama plot twist. “Did I miss something? Since when do you date?”
Min Ho sighs dramatically, placing a protective arm around my waist. “You all act like I was destined to be alone forever.”
Dae, who has been quiet up until now, finally blinks out of his stunned state. “I mean… kinda?” He looks at me with an apologetic smile. “Not because there’s anything wrong with you! Just, you know, because Min Ho’s… Min Ho.”
I laugh, and Min Ho groans. “Wow. Amazing. So much faith in me.”
Q leans forward, resting his chin on his hand as he studies me. “Okay, but seriously. We need details. How did this happen?”
“Yeah, and how are you putting up with him?” Kitty chimes in, narrowing her eyes at Min Ho like she’s waiting for me to expose all his flaws.
Min Ho scoffs, pressing a hand to his chest. “You know, a normal reaction would be ‘Congratulations, Min Ho! We’re happy for you, Min Ho!’”
Dae shrugs. “We’re still processing.”
I decide to take pity on him. “Honestly, he just kind of grew on me.” I glance up at him with a teasing smile. “Like an expensive, annoyingly charming fungus.”
Kitty gasps in delight. “Oh, I love her.”
Q grins. “Yeah, she’s definitely keeping him humble.”
Dae finally smiles. “Okay, okay, I approve.” He looks at Min Ho. “But if you mess this up, you know we’re all taking her side, right?”
Min Ho sighs. “Obviously.”
I can’t help but laugh as Kitty gestures excitedly for me to sit next to her, already launching into a million questions. Min Ho might have been nervous about this introduction, but honestly? I think I just found my new favorite people.
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~
As the night goes on, I settle into the group’s dynamic faster than I expected. Kitty is relentless with her questions, grilling me on everything from my favorite K-drama to my most embarrassing childhood story. Q is effortlessly charming, throwing in sarcastic quips that make Min Ho roll his eyes every five minutes. Dae, despite being the most reserved, gives me reassuring smiles that make it clear he’s warming up to me.
Min Ho stays close the whole time, his arm slung casually across the back of my chair, his fingers occasionally brushing against my shoulder. It’s subtle, but I can tell he’s still a little nervous, like he needs to make sure I’m okay. It’s sweet, really.
At one point, Kitty leans over and whispers, “You know, I don’t think I’ve ever seen him like this.”
“Like what?” I whisper back.
She glances at Min Ho, who’s currently bickering with Q over something ridiculous, then back at me with a knowing smile. “Soft.”
I feel my face warm, but before I can respond, Min Ho turns back to us. “What are you two conspiring about?”
Kitty just winks. “Nothing. Just girl talk.”
Min Ho narrows his eyes at her suspiciously, but before he can press further, Dae checks his phone and sighs. “I should probably head out. My dad’s expecting me home soon.”
Q stretches. “Yeah, me too. But this was fun. You’re officially part of the group now,” he says, giving me an approving nod.
Kitty grins. “Yeah, and don’t worry, we’ll make sure Min Ho treats you right.”
Min Ho scoffs. “She doesn’t need you guys for that. I’m an amazing boyfriend.”
I hum thoughtfully. “Debatable.”
Kitty bursts into laughter. “Oh yeah, I definitely like her.”
As we all say our goodbyes, Min Ho laces his fingers through mine and pulls me a little closer. “See? Told you they’d love you.”
I smile up at him. “Yeah, I think I love them too.”
He smirks. “Not more than you love me, though. Right?”
I roll my eyes, but there’s no denying the warmth spreading through my chest. “You’re lucky you’re cute.”
Min Ho grins. “I knew it.”
And just like that, I realize—being with him, being part of this? It feels exactly right.

Tumblr media
you've kept your distance from minho since the night at the gazebo. it was hard to fully avoid him since the two of you belonged to the same tight circle of friends. you'd cut the nights short claiming you were tired or skip dinner and lunch with everyone claiming you were trying to save money. truthfully, you weren't even sure if minho noticed your absence. he had been thrown full throttle into the honeymoon stage with his crush that he also hasn't been around as much.
the one place you couldn’t avoid minho was class. one, because you and minho never skipped class, and two, because you sat next to him.
you had signed up for an acting improv class to fill a gap in your schedule. you hated it if you were being honest. there was nothing you loathed more than performing in front of a group of strangers or friends, at that. each week you were forced to stagger up onto the stage and begrudgingly act. however, this week may have been your worst nightmare. the professor instructed that a small group of students would write short stories and the others will be randomly selected to perform one. of course, the performance was partner work and of course, you were assigned with who you sat with, and what a shock, you and minho were selected to perform later on in the week and not write.
minho’s head was buried deep in his phone the entire class. you weren’t trying to snoop, but it felt as if your eyes were magnets and minho’s screen was a beautiful big magnetic field. the text messages were littered with hearts and cute stickers. in a measly attempt, you acted as if you weren't staring when his head turned.
“i’m planning on officially asking them out this weekend,” he smiled.
you sucked on the inside of your cheek, desperately trying to suppress any negative remarks, “that’s… lovely.”
god, you felt horrible that you weren't being a supportive friend but you couldn't fake excitement for minho when your heart was crumbling to pieces.
most days you wished would pass quickly, hoping the sun would set early and the moon to take over signaling the start of a new day. this week, however, you wished twilight never came and time stood still so you could avoid the end of the week. unfortunately for you, that wish was never granted and you sat at your desk, drumming your fingers, patiently waiting for what was to come.
professor kwon summoned you and minho up to her desk and handed you each a copy of the short story you were about to perform.
"seems like your writer is quite fond of romance," she remarked as the paper slotted into your hand.
minho turned back to your shared desk without looking at the story but your eyes rapidly darted over the words before you scoffed, the papers nearly crumpled in your hand, "i'm not doing this professor kwon- this is," you laughed, "-this is not happening."
professor kwon's sharp eyes peeked over her glasses, "i suggest you do so if you want to pass the class. no assignment has been an issue for you before, why the sudden change?"
"it's nothing," you shook your head, anger laced in your tone.
her eyes scanned your face, lips pursed, "go practice."
with a sigh, you slumped into your chair. examining the paper and the long dialogue you had to act out almost immediately. the short story started in the middle of an argument between the two characters. it took every fiber of your being not to confront the classmate who wrote the story and ask her if she had been spying on you. the words on the page paralleling your current situation with minho in a way that was almost eerie, taunting you in your dismay. desperately, your mind spun of any ideas to get yourself out of this moment, but you heard minho start.
"just tell me!" minho pressed, acting in character.
your throat felt tight but you started nonetheless, “i can’t keep pretending that you don’t cloud every corner of my mind and every thought i have. some have called me crazy, said i was addicted to the idea of you, the idea of us that will never be. the us that will only exist in the quiet corners of my mind, hidden from the world. a sanctuary i preserve and escape to daily. and maybe- maybe they are right,” you paused briefly as your eyes started to sting with tears. you refused to look up at minho as you felt his eyes bore into you.
“you don’t even see me, yet, i would walk through hell and across any sea if you asked me. i would bear the brunt of any injury to have you notice me.”
a shaky exhale escaped your lips as you finally looked at minho, his gaze unwavering, “and… i love you. but, we will never be more than just a one-sided confession,” you whispered.
briefly, you stayed glued to your seat watching as minho’s expression became hard to decipher. the realization of what you’ve done came crashing down and you quickly threw the papers onto the desk and shot up from your desk muttering incoherent words and dashing out of class. you were gone before you could hear the whispers of the class asking each other what happened.
minho's features contorted in confusion as he watched you rip open the door and leave, but truthfully he was feeling confused before that. as he sat there listening to the words of your character, it felt too real. he observed the way your lip slightly trembled between words and the glaze of your eyes. he was wondering why his heart rate accelerated and his palms became clammy. his throat was tight and it felt like two tons was sitting on his chest, slowly and agonizingly piercing through his skin and crushing his bones and heart. there was a tiny voice in the back of his head cheering 'finally' as he listened to your character's words, words he wished were your own.
minho glanced back at the now abandoned script. he followed the lines until he noted your monologue was cut short. minho's eyebrows pulled together in confusion as he frantically flipped to the next page, searching for the remainder of the lines. he swallowed harshly as he realized you added in the last few sentences, the words that hit him the hardest.
“and… i love you. but, we will never be more than just a one-sided confession"
was nowhere on the script.
automatically his feet were moving at a rapid pace into the hallway. there was no sign of life beyond the echo of his thumping heart and heavy breathing.

Tumblr media
A year had passed since you first arrived at KISS, and in that time, you had seamlessly integrated yourself into a lively and diverse group of friends. Kitty and Yuri, your roommates, were among the first to embrace you, their warm personalities making your transition into a new school environment not just easier, but genuinely enjoyable. Dae and Q soon followed, each bringing their unique flair and energy to the group, and before long, you found yourself surrounded by friends who felt like family.
Despite this, there was one member of the group who remained an enigma: Min-Ho. From the moment you met, there was an undeniable tension in your interactions with him. While others in the group greeted you with open arms and easy smiles, Min-Ho seemed to erect an invisible wall whenever you were near. His behavior confused you; with everyone else, he was effortlessly charming and personable, yet his demeanor shifted the moment his eyes met yours—or, more accurately, avoided meeting yours.
Tonight, as you gathered with your friends at a trendy, newly-opened restaurant in the heart of downtown, Min-Ho's detachment was on full display. You expected it by now, yet a small, persistent part of you couldn’t relinquish the curiosity about why he reserved such aloofness exclusively for you.
As you settled into your seats, the table came alive with a symphony of voices, overlapping in laughter and vibrant conversation. Dae animatedly recounted a recent adventure, his enthusiasm infectious, while Q chimed in with witty remarks that had Kitty and Yuri in stitches. Amidst all the chatter, you couldn’t help but notice Min-Ho's behavior. He laughed and participated, engaging readily with the others, but the moment you addressed him or tried to draw him into the conversation, he would tense slightly, his gaze skirting away from yours.
His usual confidence seemed to falter whenever you were around, adding yet another layer to the mystery that was Min-Ho. You couldn't shake the feeling that there was something more beneath his aloof exterior, a dynamic that was both intriguing and frustrating. It left you with an unsettling mix of emotions—curiosity, frustration, and a reluctant intrigue—that you couldn’t quite quell.
Despite the commotion and camaraderie buzzing at the table, Min-Ho's distance was a shadow that lingered at the back of your mind, a puzzle that refused easy resolution. Was it something you had said or done that created this invisible barrier, or was there a deeper reason for his unusual behavior? The questions swirled in your mind, mingling with the cheerful noise of your friends around you, a reminder of the enigma that Min-Ho represented in your otherwise close-knit group.
Min-Ho sat diagonally across from you, his sharp outfit making him look striking as always. His keen sense of fashion had become one of his trademarks, and tonight was no exception. Yet beyond the stylish exterior, you sensed something more elusive whenever you glanced his way.
Midway through your meal, Q made an exaggerated joke that had everyone at the table bursting into laughter. Amidst the commotion, Min-Ho's phone, which had been precariously nestled in the pocket of his jacket draped over the back of his chair, slipped out and clattered onto the table. The sound cut through the laughter, drawing everyone's eyes to the device that landed face-up. Your heart skipped a beat when you saw your own smiling face as his screensaver.
"Hey, is that Y/N on your screen?" Q's sharp eyes had noticed it first, and his voice carried a note of playful suspicion.
Heads swiveled towards Min-Ho, whose face turned an alarming shade of crimson. He quickly reached for his phone but fumbled with it, his hands shaky. The group erupted into a mix of surprise and light-hearted teasing.
"Wow, didn't know you were such a fan, Min-Ho," Yuri quipped, her voice brimming with amusement.
"Seems like someone’s got a favorite," Q added with a teasing grin.
Min-Ho glanced around at the curious, grinning faces surrounding him, clearly flustered. "Uh, no, it’s not what it looks like," he stammered, his discomfort evident.
"Not what it looks like? It looks pretty clear to me," Kitty teased, raising her eyebrow in a playful challenge.
"Come on, just admit it. You like her, don't you?" Q pressed, the gleam in his eyes betraying his curiosity.
Min-Ho's gaze darted to you, then back to his phone. He seemed to struggle with his words before standing up abruptly, his chair scraping loudly against the floor. "I... I just remembered, I have something urgent to take care of," he mumbled, avoiding eye contact as he hurriedly grabbed his phone and jacket, making a swift exit.
Back at the table, an awkward silence lingered before the group exchanged curious glances. Kitty shook her head and smiled. "Well, that was unexpected."
"He really bolted, didn't he?" Q chuckled, still amazed by the turn of events.
"You think he's embarrassed?" Dae questioned, his voice softer with slight concern.
"Obviously," Yuri replied, rolling her eyes. "I mean, it's cute in a way." She turned her attention to you, "Right?"
You hesitated for a moment, considering her words. "I suppose it is, in a strange way," you replied, a small smile playing at your lips. "But I still don't understand why he acts like that around me."
Kitty leaned in, a thoughtful expression on her face. "Maybe he's just shy? Or perhaps there's something about you that makes him nervous."
Dae nodded in agreement. "It's possible. People act weird for all kinds of reasons, especially when it comes to feelings they're not sure how to handle."
You sighed, still puzzled. "I just wish I knew what he was thinking. It's been a whole year, and he hasn't given me any indication of what the problem might be."
"Have you tried talking to him about it?" Q suggested, his tone serious. "Sometimes the direct approach is the best way to clear things up."
Yuri chimed in, "Yeah. Maybe if you just asked him, you'd get some answers. It might be awkward, but at least you'll know what's going on."
You considered their advice, the prospect of confronting Min-Ho about his behavior both daunting and oddly appealing. "You're right," you said finally. "I'll find a time to talk to him. It's time to get to the bottom of this."
The group nodded in support, their encouragement bolstering your resolve. The conversation eventually shifted to lighter topics, but the mystery of Min-Ho's aloofness lingered in your mind, a puzzle you were determined to solve.
You found yourself lost in the whirlwind of your thoughts, reflecting on the recent incident with Min-Ho and his lock screen. Did this mean what you thought it did? The implications were both thrilling and terrifying, leaving your mind in a whirl of possibilities. You tried to gather your composure, but the image of your face on his phone and the look in Min-Ho's eyes kept replaying in your mind.
Their voices seemed to fade as you pondered the revelation. Your heart pounded with a mix of excitement and anxiety. Min-Ho was always so composed and confident; seeing him so flustered only added to your own confusion. With each passing moment, the reality of the situation began to sink in, leaving you to wonder what this meant for your relationship with Min-Ho and for the dynamic of your whole group.
Tumblr media
Later that evening, you found yourself standing nervously outside Min-Ho’s dorm room. Your heart pounded in your chest as you summoned the courage to knock on the door, the earlier incident replaying vividly in your mind. What did it all mean?
Moments later, the door swung open, revealing Min-Ho’s face. A flicker of surprise crossed his features before he composed himself. "What brings you here?" he asked, his voice steady but his eyes betraying his unease.
You took a deep breath to steady yourself and stepped inside. "We need to talk about what happened earlier," you said, trying to keep your voice calm despite the turmoil within you.
Min-Ho closed the door behind you, and the air in the small space grew thick with tension. "It was just a mistake. The screensaver—I can explain…"
You interrupted him, your eyes searching his face for a sign of honesty. "Why is my photo on your phone?" you demanded.
Min-Ho’s carefully maintained façade crumbled, revealing a vulnerability you had never seen before. He took a deep breath and looked away, his voice barely more than a whisper. "Because I'm in love with you, Y/N," he confessed. "I’ve been trying to hide it, thinking maybe you’d never feel the same way. I thought avoiding you would make it easier, but it's only made things more complicated."
You stared at him in shock, your mind racing. You had spent so long convinced that he hated you, and now this? "You... You love me?" you repeated, still processing his words.
Min-Ho nodded, his expression a mix of anxiety and hope. "I do. And I know it’s sudden, but I can't pretend anymore."
For a moment, the room was filled with silence as both of you grappled with the weight of his confession. Then, taking a shaky breath, you finally found the words. "Why?" you asked, your voice trembling. "How? I thought you hated me! You never talk to me or acknowledge me when I walk into a room.”
"I always saw you," Min-Ho said softly, stepping even closer, his eyes locking onto yours with an intensity that sent shivers down your spine. "I love the way you smile even when things are tough, and how you're always willing to help others no matter what. But more than that, I love your laugh. You laugh in so many different ways. When embarrassing things happen in your favorite dramas, you shriek like fireworks and sometimes throw your phone away in horror, hiding under the pillows. It's adorable."
He reached out, gently touching your cheek. "And I know about your little quirk of not being able to sleep unless you find the right fake scenario to play in your head." He chuckled softly. "It's a little weird, but I find it endearing. I’ve admired you from afar, thinking it was the best way to protect my heart if you didn’t feel the same."
Your heart swelled with his words, every mention of your quirks and habits feeling like an intimate tribute. Tears welled up in your eyes—not out of sadness, but out of overwhelming relief and joy at knowing the depth of his feelings. "Min-Ho, I thought you hated me," you said, your voice breaking slightly. "But the truth is, I have feelings for you too. I just never thought you felt the same."
Min-Ho's eyes met yours, a dazzling blend of relief and joy sparkling in them. "You really mean that?" he asked, almost not daring to hope.
Instead of answering with words, you closed the distance between you, pressing your lips to his in a kiss that was both tender and deeply passionate. It was as if all the confusion and tension of the past melted away in that moment, leaving only clarity and connection between you.
When you finally broke apart, you were both breathless yet elated. Min-Ho’s hands lingered on your waist, drawing you closer as if afraid to let you go. As you stood there, wrapped up in each other, it felt like the beginning of something new and beautiful.

Unexpected Romantic - Min-Ho Moon
Project Valentines Day - 7#
Warnings: nothing!
Tumblr media
Min-Ho wasn’t the type to openly gush about his feelings, but when it came to making people smile, he had a knack for it. His cocky, funny demeanor could mask it at times, but deep down, he always paid attention—especially to you.
So when Valentine’s Day approached, you were curious how he would handle it. He never made a huge deal about holidays, and you honestly expected him to brush it off like he usually did. But when he texted you that morning, “I’ve got a surprise for you later. Be ready.” you couldn’t help but feel a little excited.
As the sun began to set, you made your way to the spot he’d designated: a quiet, secluded part of the park. When you arrived, the last thing you expected was to see the scene he had set.
Min-Ho had gone all out. A soft blanket was spread out under the trees, fairy lights twinkling above it, casting a warm glow. A basket with a carefully arranged picnic inside sat on the blanket. It was cozy, intimate—yet still had that playful touch that was so very Min-Ho.
He grinned when you arrived, his hands casually shoved in his jacket pockets. “Surprised?”
“I… didn’t expect this,” you said, looking around, impressed. “Did you actually plan all this?”
He shrugged nonchalantly, though you could tell he was a little proud. “I may act like a jerk sometimes, but I know how to make a good date happen when it counts.”
You smiled, feeling the warmth of the gesture. As you sat down on the blanket, you realized just how much thought he had put into this—your favorite snacks, the perfect setting, even the playlist that had been carefully curated for the evening.
You ate together, chatting and laughing as the night unfolded. There was no pressure, no need to fill the silence with words, just the two of you enjoying each other’s company in the most relaxed, natural way.
After the meal, Min-Ho handed you a small box, his usual confident smile softened slightly. “I thought you might like this. It’s not much, but…”
Inside was a delicate necklace—elegant and simple, with a small charm that felt like it was made just for you. “Min-Ho, it’s beautiful,” you said, touched by the thoughtfulness behind it.
“You deserve it,” he said quietly, his voice a little more sincere than usual. “Happy Valentine’s Day, you know? I wanted to show you I could do this. Do something right, for you.”
You smiled, reaching out to take his hand. “You don’t need grand gestures to prove that, Min-Ho. This… this is perfect.”
He chuckled, leaning back against the tree. “Yeah, well, maybe I’ve got a soft spot after all.”
The evening stretched on with easy conversation and soft laughter. Eventually, the two of you leaned back on the blanket, staring up at the stars above. It was peaceful, with only the soft sound of the wind in the trees and the occasional rustling of leaves.
And in the quiet stillness of that moment, you found yourself in each other’s embrace, the warmth between you both more than just the heat of the night. You could feel your heart racing, but in the best way—because tonight, you knew, had changed something between you.
At the end of it all, you both simply stared at the stars, resting comfortably in each other’s arms, knowing that this was more than just a Valentine’s Day. It was the beginning of something real.

you would bet on it? // min ho x reader
character: min ho
show: xo kitty
tags: frenemies to lovers, gender neutral reader, work place romance
warnings: maybe ooc?? i don't think so but yk, cursing, might have done some heavy self inserting oops
Kitty peaked around a corner, her head darting right and left before she proceeded down an alleyway.
It was just her luck that three boys were standing at a nearby building when they saw her sneaking around. Min ho raised a brow. “What on Earth is she doing?” His words caught Q and Dae’s attention, and they both turned around to watch.
“Maybe she’s just.. Meeting someone?” Dae chuckled nervously, trying to think of a perfectly logical and ethical reason Kitty was sneaking through an alleyway.
Min ho raised a brow. “Or buying drugs. We should follow her.”
Q shook his head, snickering lightly. “You just wanna follow her because you’re nosy.”
Min ho raised his hands in defense. “Sue me– Now let’s go.” He pivoted, going down the same alleway Kitty went down. Dae and Q shared a look before following him.
Kitty walked along for a while, much to two of the boys’ relief, exiting the alley after a short time and heading a way that was much more normal. She was acting oddly suspicious, though.
After some time, she arrived in front of…
A restaurant?
The three boys looked at each other with confused faces before continuing to the entrance.
Kitty walked inside, waiting up at the host stand for a second before you approached her with a grin. “Kitty! Good to see you, you can–” You paused immediately when spotting a very, very amused Min ho.
“You work at a restaurant, seriously?” He chuckled, raising a brow down at you.
Kitty whipped her head around, “Wh– Did you– You followed me?!”
Q and Dae quickly went in upon the realization that Min ho had blown their cover, Dae walking to the other side of Kitty. “We were just worried– You were acting really suspiciously–”
“We thought you could’ve been buying drugs.” Min ho grinned.
Kitty gawked at him. “What– That’s so stupid–”
You cleared your throat, crossing your arms. “What the hell are you guys doing here–” Before you could properly question the boys, you spotted your manager walking over. You blew out an irritated breath before putting on a fake smile. “How many in your party tonight?”
Min ho was loving this way too much. “Oh, just the four of us.” You so desperately wanted to wipe the smug look off of his face, but alas… You did value your job.
“Great!” You spoke through clenched teeth, grabbing four menus from behind you. “You can follow me right this way.” You took them to a section belonging to a server who had just arrived, so it was completely empty. After they sat down and you advertised your company’s rewards system with very red cheeks, your manager finally stopped watching you. Immediately upon their eyes being taken off of you, you exploded. “What the hell are you guys doing here?!”
“Kitty was acting weird. We swear we didn’t know she was coming here.” Q explained, chuckling nervously. He didn’t particularly like the idea of two of his best friends being upset with him over one of Min ho’s dumb ideas.
Min ho leaned back in his seat. “And I’m glad we did. Otherwise, we never would’ve learned of this little secret.” He motioned to your uniform, which caused your cheeks to go redder.
“Well, I’m sorry but not all of us can go through life completely supported by our ‘Mummy’s’.” You mimicked his accent toward the end, huffing. “Some of us actually have to support ourselves.”
Min ho rolled his eyes. “Right, like it’s so hard.”
You gawked at him. “Min ho, you would not survive a customer service job. Honestly, I would bet on it.”
This intrigued him, and he quickly leaned forward in his seat, turning to face you. “Oh, you would bet on it? Really?”
“Mhm. You would not survive in the restaurant industry.”
Min ho hummed. “Well, if you’re so confident, then let’s bet.”
“Fine. If I win?”
“I’ll do anything you ask of me. No objections.”
“Hm.. Okay. And if you win?”
“Same thing. Whatever I ask of you. Zero objections.”
Though you didn’t like the idea of Min ho being able to hold something over your head, you were confident enough that you felt comfortable despite the stakes. After a moment, you spoke. “Fine. Deal.”
Min ho grinned. “Deal. I’m looking forward to winning this bet.”
“In your dreams.” You rolled your eyes at him, backing away to finally allow the server to do their job. On your way out of the section, you caught Kitty who mouthed a “Sorry”. You shook your head, waving your hand at her in dismissal. Really, Kitty had done you a favor. Now you had the chance to one up Min ho.
After further discussion over text, you spoke to your manager about a friend who wanted to come in for an interview. Lucky for you, your shop was severely understaffed due to a mass of server’s quitting, so the manager didn’t hesitate to hire Min ho.
His first day was an absolute wreck.
He spilled a salsa bowl on him, which to anyone else would be a mere inconvenience, but to Min ho, it was the end of the world.
“I just bought these pants!! They're designer!!"
You shrugged. “It’s your own fault. Maybe you shouldn’t be so clumsy.” You were admittedly being hypocritical as you had broken and spilled your fair share of things on especially busy nights where you had to help.
“I hate you.”
You grew very familiar with those 3 words the more you worked with Min ho. His first few weeks, he let everything get to him. The customers, the messes, the way he smelled after work. Restaurant smell. You’d grown accustomed to it, so you hadn’t even considered that to be something that would’ve bothered him.
Much to your surprise though, he was very good at the customer service aspect. In some ways, it made sense. He had a way with acting charming, and he was fluent in Korean, which helped with the locals. He also only kept his complaints to when the two of you would be walking to the dorms together once you got off.
The thing that surprised you most, though, was how much you enjoyed spending time with him. You were used to server’s coming up and talking to you on slower days, the host stand often being a hangout place. You assumed Min ho picked up on it as he had suddenly begun hanging around there, too, when his section was deserted.
He waited for you after work. Even when he had been cut and could’ve gone home earlier. He excused it that you shouldn’t be walking alone at night. You didn’t really care about his motives, but you appreciated it. It was a nice gesture.
After 2 months, he still didn’t quit. You were beginning to worry he’d want to cash in his prize for the bet since it seemed like he had no intentions of losing. What would he make you do? The options were endless. You still had a slight hope that you could win but…
At the same time, you didn’t. You liked working with him more than you thought you would, it would be a little disappointing if he quit.
One night, though, his unwillingness to quit was really proven.
He had scheduled a date a few weeks in advance with some famous girl or something, you weren’t sure. But, he had also forgotten that he had a shift that same night.
He was up by the host stand, talking with you when he felt his phone buzz. He looked around to ensure your manager wasn’t near before he picked up.
“Hello?” After a few seconds his eyes widened. “That was tonight? Oh– I’m so sorry I must’ve forgotten, I–” He was cut off and a few more seconds passed where you heard muffled speaking through the phone. “I’m at work. Wait– Oh.” He said your restaurant’s address before he was hung up on. He blinked for a moment before putting his phone away.
You raised a brow. “What was that?”
He ran a hand through his hair. “I forgot I had a date tonight.”
“Oh. Well, if you need I’m sure one of the other servers could cover for you, I mean, even I can–”
“No!” You paused, blinking up at him. He shook his head. “No. What if we get busy? The dinner rush hasn’t even come in yet! I can’t desert you like that.”
You felt a blush creeping up your neck. He couldn’t desert you like that?
Before you could question his wording, a very pretty girl walked up to the two of you, clearing her throat. “Min ho, are you ready to go?”
The girl rolled her eyes, pulling out a small mirror and lip gloss. “Yeah, and? You don’t need a job, Min ho. We can just leave. It doesn’t matter.”
Min ho looked over. “What? I told you I was at work–”
He shook his head. “But it does. It’s a responsibility.”
The girl glanced at him before putting away her things, grinning. “Responsibility? When did you get so mature? It’s hot.. But seriously. Let’s go.”
Min ho groaned, a hand going over his face. “I already said–”
Before you could stop yourself, the words were already leaving your mouth. “I think he already said he wasn’t going.”
The girl looked at you, scoffing. “And you are?”
Min ho stepped in front of you, crossing his arms. “They’re my coworker and friend. Plus, they’re right. I told you I couldn’t go already.”
The girl clenched her fists before putting her hands on her hips. She stared at the two of you for a second before huffing. “Fine. Fine! I’ll leave. But I’m texting you later to reschedule.” She glared at you, then turned around, heading back out.
You looked between him and her figure, which disappeared into a car.
There’s one thing she said that you agreed with.
This new maturity was hot.
A few hours later, the two of you were walking back to the dorms together. You sighed dramatically. “Y’know what– Fine. Fine!”
He raised a brow. “What are you on about?”
“Fine, you win.” You stopped walking. “You win the bet.”
He stared at you for a second before his brows raised. “Oh. Right. That.”
“Don’t tell me you forgot.”
He shrugged, his hands going to his pockets. “I guess I did. But, hey. I told you I could do it.” His nonchalant expression turned into a grin.
You rolled your eyes. “Well..”
“Well?”
“What do you want? I agreed to do anything you wanted. No objections.”
He thought to himself for a second. “Hm… I’ll need to think on it.” He kept walking.
You gawked at him, whining and following him. “Min ho– That’s not fair! Now I’m gonna have to walk on eggshells!”
“Ooh well.”
The two of you continued your walk, and you continued to pester him to no avail. By the time you got home, Kitty had retreated to her room, so you went to yours. You got ready for bed, flopping down with a hum. You grabbed your phone off your bedside table when you saw a text from Min ho.
min ho: okay, i’ve made up my mind.
min ho: i want..
Min ho: a date.
Min ho: this friday. i’ll pick you up at 6.
Wait.
WHAT?!

(Not my GIF :))
Being back at K.I.S.S for our second semester was thrilling, even just stepping out the car brings back a rush of memories and hope for this term. Kitty says she’s going 2.0 this semester and focusing but I think we both know she’ll lying to herself, Q and I made a bet on how long she lasts.
“I’ll give her a week,” I told him wanting to give the girl at least some belief.
Q pulled a face that screamed you’re joking right? And said ‘I give her till the end of tomorrow’.
Yuri was kind enough to invite out whole group to a reunion dinner tonight at our favorite barbeque restaurant, all on her, whilst the rest of us was excited Kitty was still stressing in our joint room about getting out of our living situation. Thankfully some music was able to calm her down for a second.
That was until Min Ho’s favourite song came on, and she turned to me with her mouth and eyes wide open in some sort of realisation. “Are you and Min Ho actually going to your lives together this semester?”.
I threw one of pillow at her, “Hey!” she exclaimed turning to me with smudged mascara on her cheek.
“Not this again,” I say rolling my eyes.
“I’m just saying I’m rarely wrong,” her voice goes a few octaves higher.
I turn back to my mirror, “You know I can’t stand how highly he thinks of himself, plus even I did he’s a player Kitty, I don’t put myself in situations where I’m likely to get hurt,” I explain.
“Yeah whatever live a little!” she threw the pillow back at me, which quickly turned into a pillow fight and bunch of laughter, until a knock on the door informed us we had to leave if we didn’t want to be late.
The four of us girls walked towards the busy town to the restaurant, and he’s the first person that I spot in the crowd amongst our friends. Yuri shouts out a hello and the group turns around. His eyes meet mine, the same sneaky glimmer sits in his eyes, mouth in its signature half smirk.
I can feel Kitty’s eyes on me, and she gives me a slight push, I move my feet quickly hoping that no one saw that. I turn around and give her a quick death glare.
“Hello, y/l/n” his voice is all too familiar, I turn to meet his eyes once again, his hands are in his jacket pocket, and I note down that I would not mind stealing it from him.
“Min Ho,” I say back keeping it cool.
“Christmas break does not feel like a long enough break from you,” he says with a smile.
“Aren’t you a sweetheart,” I say back in a monotone voice.
“Now you’re complementing me? What have you done to y/l/n?” he questions grabbing my jacket sleeving and waving it around in an inspection, I roll my eyes at him and he lets my arm fall, “I heard about the living situation,” he changes the subjective with a gesturing nod to the restaurant as all our friends were walking in.
I let out a sigh and push some of my hair out my face, “Yeah, it’s a weird one, Kitty is super freaked out,” I say.
“I don’t blame her, living with someone you like and their partner sounds like personal hell,” he says with a distaste in his voice.
“Very helpful observation from you Min Ho,” I say deadpanning.
He puts a hand to his chest, “You’re so welcome,”.
“Aw and to think I almost missed this sarcasm of yours,” I say back turning my gaze away from his to the busy street.
Min Ho’s eyes crinkle in the corners “You did miss me,” he said as I stepped towards the restaurant, but I stopped before I could take another.
He circled around to step in front of me again, my brows burrowed, and I let out a nervous chuckle, “what did you say?” I asked trying to play dumb. Of course I missed him, I’m not sure how exactly our friendship could be described but our little digs were something I looked forward to, I enjoyed the challenge, the satisfaction that came from leaving him without a comeback.
I waited as he lowered towards my ear, his long eyelashes lifting as he observed something behind me, “You smiled when I said that”, I could feel the absence of his breath as he pulled away.  He was walking through to the table as I let out a composing breath and followed.
Kitty saved me a seat beside her, she wiggled her brows at me when I sit down, Min Ho was talking to Q and Dae looking at the menu.
“So?” she asked eagerly turning directly towards me.
“What?” I ask laying my purse down and grabbing a menu.
The brunette pulled it right out of my hands, “You know exactly what you’re going to order,” she says which is true, I get the same thing every time, why change something that works? “The tensions still there?” her mouth is a grin.
“It’s not tension,” I tell her for the hundredth since we started at K.I.S.S “we just don’t like each other,” I say pulling the menu back out her hand. I loved that Kitty was basically a radio tower for spotting who likes who, but not when it came to me, I didn’t like Min Ho like that and he definitely doesn’t like me like that, he was all over Maddison last semester.
“Whatever you want to tell yourself, “She murmured standing up to talk to the guys, Min Ho looks over to me momentarily as Kitty approaches them but then gets back into the conversation.
<3 <3 <3
Being able to spend the weekend at Min Ho’s cabin was amazing but waking up this morning to being basically snowed in was not a pleasant surprise, skiing was a no go, and it’s not like there was anything else near us. Everyone spent the morning playing card games or reading or trying to find something to entertain themselves because the internet was out.
It was fine until it hit five in the afternoon and even the team competition games were not feeling as empowering. Most everyone was feeling restless, that was until Q came up with what everyone seemed to think was a good idea, apart from Min Ho and me but I couldn’t pick his side.
“Oh come on we’re stuck on the property anyway!” Q pleaded in a whiny tone holding his hands together in support Dae gave a put his hands on his face and gave a cute smile. Min Ho half rolled his eyes and looked at all the faces in the room.
Dropping his hands with a sigh he agreed, and the room erupted into cheers, “But if you guys break anything I swear-” he started but was cut off as the chatter started. Maddison suggested we should divide up tasks, set up a small buffet, get alcohol and get dressed up.
Everyone separated the tasks between them, but my eyes kept shifting towards Min Ho, he looked distant, he was never usually against a party. He said he’d sort the alcohol and walked out the room, I looked around at everyone dispersing again then followed him.
We were heading towards his dad’s office, where Q had secretly snuck Jin in last night, thankfully the guys made up with him earlier or this day could have been very awkward, though it did seem like he gave them a rather tough time when they were younger and what he did to Q was not forgiven.
“Are you okay?” I ask after closing the door behind us, he didn’t turn, if he knew I was following him it didn’t show.
“Yep, I’m thinking the alcohol can be his payment for ditching me once again,” he says nonchalantly taking a key out of a draw and unlocking a tall cabinet, there on the bottom shelf laid what must have been about 30 different bottles.
I step closer and lean against the wall watching him pick up the bottles, read the label, leave some out and those that didn’t appease him went back in.
“Min Ho,” I said, my voice more tender than I intended, the playfulness was gone, “Can you look at me for a second?” I asked, for a moment he stopped moving altogether, before letting his shoulder fall and rising up to stand in front of me.
His expression was of that as always, but his eyes redder like a tear could appear any moment, “I can’t exactly say I’m surprised,” he shrugged and watched me waiting. A sadness settled over the room. I took a step towards him and just opened my arms, momentarily he was stood still, then he leaned down and wrapped his hands around my middle as mine went to the back of his neck.
“I’m sorry Min Ho,” I said, he didn’t let go, “You deserve better than this,” I said and pulled him closer, running my hand over his nape. As we stood there it felt as though a piece of my own heart was breaking, I could feel my throat getting drier, I shut my eyes tight.
I’m not sure if we were stood there for a minute or five but when he pulled away slightly, we looked at each other and for the first time I felt as though I saw him, really saw all of him.
“Whilst you’re here any preference?” he breaks out of the bubble and goes back to the stash as if nothing happened; I pull myself back together and kneel down next to him to look at options we have.
When we brought everything up Q looked directly at me, Min Ho placed the bottles on the table and rushed towards his room. I placed the ones I carried, and Q came right over, taking off the little apron he found leaving Julianna and Dae in the kitchen.
“How is he?” Q asks, and I lift my gaze from the table, the concern in his eyes mirrored that in mine.
I let out a sigh and shrugged my shoulders before replying in a hushed tone so they couldn’t hear in the kitchen, “He’s Min Ho, you know how he is, won’t say a thing,” I conveyed. Q nods knowing this would have likely been the case.
“He’ll come around when he needs to talk, for now it’s important we’re just here for him,” he said I agreed. When Dae announced they were done in the kitchen the four of us headed to get ready. Yuri laid her arm around my shoulder in a side hug as we walked to the room.
Yuri and I were the last to get ready the others were mostly done, the girls were playing music in the room, putting finishing touches to their makeup. None of us brought anything extremely fancy, but just enough.
The atmosphere in the house was much uplifted as everyone started having drinks and nibbling on the snacks. When Min Ho walked in and I couldn’t look away, he wore black trousers and a white sweater, his mood was too seemingly improved, he sent a smile my way.
Everyone was talking and dancing on the makeshift dancefloor, the table was pulled to the side, the drinks we’re going down as quickly for me as some others. Q and Jin were the sober ones as they both said that athletes don’t drink so at least I wasn’t the only one, though I was getting to the warm side of tipsy.
Coming back from the bathroom I spotted Dae and Eunice making out in the doorframe of one of the rooms and couldn’t help but smile, I was glad he was able to find someone who made him happy after how things ended with Kitty, especially since he wasn’t really over her at the start of this semester.
“Let’s do truth or dare!” Maddison announced after another shot as I made back into the room, a mixture of responses was heard but the red head quickly shot them all down, “Don’t all be babies, this is prime time to get to know everyone’s secrets,” she exclaimed falling back onto one of the sofas.
Everyone gathered around taking seats with their drinks.
“Okay I’ll start,” she said excitedly looking around at everyone as if they were her prey, “Okay, Julliana truth or dare?”
“Truth,”
“What is your favourite thing about Yuri?”
Julianna smiled at the question, resting her glass against her lips as she thought, “There’s just so many,” she laughed, Yuri looking at her expectantly, “The fact that she’s so unapologetically herself,” she said, and Yuri pulled her close and pressed their lips together. My eyes shot directly to Kitty who was looking everyone but at the couple.
“Okay, okay my turn,” Yuri said turning back to the crowd, “Q, truth or dare?”
“I’ll do a truth,”
“Who’s the best kisser you’ve ever kissed?” Q blushes and looks at Jin, his eyes shyly meeting his.
“Jin,” a series of aws and ews came out from everyone.
“Okay so, my queen of Choas,” Q started but Kitty threw him an exaggerated look of shock, “In retirement of course,” he finished lifting his hands in defence, if only he knew what Kitty had done before we left for this trip, “truth or dare,”.
“Truth,” she replied.
“Do you miss living with us,” he asked, and Maddison let out a boo, not juicy enough for her, but Kitty gave him a thankful look.
“Eh I basically spend the same amount of time at your dorm, apart from the sleeping fact,” she laughed, and Q gave her a side hug.
“Okay for that boring question lets do a never have I have, so drink if you have” the red head announced and looked towards Eunice.
The other girl furrowed her brows and made eye contact with Dae, “Never have I ever had a not so innocent dream about someone in the room,” she said. I lifted my glass to my lips whilst watching who else did, pretty much everyone, including Min Ho, everyone broke into trying to guess who dreamt about who.
Jin perked up “Min Ho yours has to be that girl you kissed in that music video for your dad this summer, surely,” but Min Ho only brushed him off.
Kitty quickly ceased control of the room “Okay, y/n truth or dare?”
“Truth,” I say not wanting to pick either really.
Madisson huffed, “Come on you guys let’s stop being boring!”, everyone else seemed to agree with her, convenient that she didn’t complain about that earlier.
“Dare,” I say giving in, and look back at Kitty with that mischievous glint in her eyes and am fully regretting my decision to give into peer pressure.
She smiled and proclaimed, “I dare you to kiss the person you find most attractive in the room,”.
Everyone’s eyes shot to me and an excited murmur started, I’m unable to take my eyes off my best friend, I knew she probably wanted to do good, but this was actually my worst nightmare.
“Kitty come on,” I try but no one jumps up to my defence. I look to Yuri and Q for some help but they both look like they want to see this play out.
Then Madisson’s new roommate Stella got out of her seat, she was always so quiet so all eyes shoot to her, “If you won’t do it I will,” she said with a new surge of confidence. Everyone looked confused, she made her way across the room to the wall on which Min Ho was leaning against.
His eyes scanned her face and a sick feeling started rising in my stomach, we are just good friends, maybe it was the alcohol not mixing well in my stomach. It’s not until her lips are about to touch his that I get up and rush out the room, saying I needed some fresh air.
Kitty tried to come after me, telling me its going to be fine that Stella had no chance against me and what not, but I just turned around and something in me exploded “How about you focus on your own love life Kitty, you need to tell Julianna the about what happened,” I whisper shouted.
Kitty’s face crumbled and she looked so hurt.
“Tell me what?” Julianna’s voice questioned as she appeared in the hallway.
Kitty and I turned to see her looking our way and Yuri standing beside her, Julianna looked between the two and a realization seemed to have struck her. Kitty tried to say something, to explain and I just walked away feeling even worse.
All of us had out swimsuits under our clothes cause we we’re going to end the night in the hot tub, so I headed out there now. Sitting warm water trying to keep my tears in check I could avoid the feeling of dread that I left in the house, still a few slipping gently down my face.
“Y/n,” a voice approached but I didn’t turn to him, I couldn’t, I just embarrassed myself and left Kitty to fend for herself, “come on,” he said sitting down on the side of the tub.
“I’m a terrible person,” I say simply, my whole body slumping into the hot water of the hot tub, being submerged made me feel numb.
“Can you come out so we can talk?”
“Nope, I’m going to sit in here until the water sucks me up whole and I disappear,” I admit and join my hands nervously under the water.
He sighted slightly and I could see him shuffling in the corner of my eye.
“If you won’t come out I’ll come in,”
“You really don’t have to,” I argue but he doesn’t listen, he steps in and settles in the water next to me.
“You’re not a terrible person,” he says and I turn to look at him momentarily.
“I got Kitty into shit with Julianna, I’m arguing with my parents over the most stupid thing, and I just keep ruining things for myself because I keep getting so anxious- I am like the worst,” I express looking out into the distance of the dark sky.
I feel him shuffle left to me, “come here,” he whispers and he pulls me into a hug, he’s warmer than the water, “The thing about Kitty was bound to come out at some point, and to be honest the longer it took the worse the outcome would have been,” he said brushing a hand down my hair.
I pull away slightly, “They broke up haven’t they?” I asked, his eyes softened, and he nodded, “and Kitty isn’t speaking to anyone?” I ask.
“Q went to sit with her, she won’t be angry at you forever, you guys will talk it out,” he reassured me.
I let out a half-defeated chuckle, “Who would have thought you could be somewhat wise,” I teased wiping a tear from under my eye.
“I am wise you’re just blind to genius,” he pulls one of his resting bitch faces and looks towards me with one brow raised and I actually let out a laugh.
“There she is,” he says and I can feel a smile spread across my lips, “So,” he says leaning on his arm to look at me, “who were you going to kiss?” he asked, his voice a whisper even though we were both alone out here.
I can feel the blush creep up the back of my neck and cheeks and hope that it’s too dark for him to see. The silene is peaceful and I could stay out here all night, with the mixture of fresh air and the hot water.
“Does it matter?” I ask turning towards him, I hadn’t realised how close he was sitting to me, I could feel my heartrate multiplying.
He smiles and shrugged, “I need more material for making fun of you,” he said but there was no harshness or mal intent behind it, an actual smile made its way onto my way and I shook my head, “Oh it was totally me,” and so the cockiness was back.
“Oh you wish,” I say with a challenge, the corner of his lips upturn, but my gaze falls down and my teeth sink into my bottom lip, “how was your kiss with Stella, I hear she’s been crushing on you,” I say with a sad echo of playfulness.
He shifted closer to me, “I didn’t kiss Stella,” he says, leaning his head against his fist, I watch his face waiting, “I told her there is only one person I want to kiss, and it’s not her,”.
His eyes flutter down to my lips, I can’t help but take in a breath and search his face.
“Who is it then?” I ask, so quietly you could almost miss it.
“It’s you, silly,” he says as if he were explaining it to a five-year-old.
The silence returned.
“Y/l/n”
I turned to face him again, his hand came up to move my hair behind my ear.
“Min Ho,” I say in tone that came out as a mix of a warning but also desire that was bubbling too close to the surface, we were crossing dangerous grounds here and there would be no going back.
His eyes went to my lips and mine to his. Then he was leaning in, I closed my eyes and let it happen. His lips against mine was much better than my imagine could ever do it justice, it was slow kiss, then another, and one more before he pulled away slightly and rested his forehead against mine.
“I’ve been waiting a long while to do that,” he says and the strain in his tone brings out something in me. I put my arms around his hand and pull him onto another kiss, this one deeper, his arms found my waist and he pulls me closer and closer until I’m sitting on his lip.
“Better than you could have imaged, I know,” he says after he pulls away and laugh, moving my hand to splash him with water.
“I hate that Kitty was right. Again,” I say.
Min Ho runs a hand through his hair, “This is the only time I’m not mad that that girl is right,” he states.
Eventually we left the hot tub and made our way back inside, most people have dispersed to different rooms, the atmosphere definitely ruined. Kitty was sat crossed legged on the sofa staring at her phone as we walked in, Min Ho gave me a smile and pointed his head in her direction.
“Kitty,” I said nervously.
Her eyes shot directly to me, her eyes also red, she dropped her phone and rushed over to me pulling me into a hug, I squeezed her tightly.
“I’m so sorry,” I said, “I shouldn’t have said anything- it wasn’t my place-” I started to say rapidly btu Kitty interrupted me
“I’m also sorry, I’ve been so caught up in all this drama I didn’t even know you were fighting with your parents, and it’s good it got out now, it would have been so much more hurtful for everyone the longer it was kept quiet.
“I love you girl,” I said, tears building up in my eyes.
She giggled “I love you more,” she said pulling away, “and now I want to hear every detail about what just happened in that hot tub!” she squealed pulling to me to the sofa and pointing out the window a clear view of the tub, I hid my face behind me hands, “Looks like Kitty the matchmaker was right again,” she said proudly.
It was a relief that Kitty was able to forgive me, we spoke a little about Min Ho aware that he could be lurking around anywhere, then we talked about my fall out with my parents, and I dropped them a text saying we should talk when they wake up. Before we knew it was well past one in the morning and we agreed it was time for bed.
I paused in front of Min Ho’s door questioning whether to knock and say goodnight or if that was too weird.
“You go girl!” Kitty whisper cheered walking towards the room we slept in last night.
I took a deep breath in preparation and knocked, “Come in,” the voice on the other side said and so the rest of the night was spent talking and cuddling, maybe this trip wasn’t a total disaster after all.

THE BOYS, THE GIRLS, THEY ALL LIKE CARMEN! min ho x reader 𖦹 ׂ 𓈒🐇 ೀ
Tumblr media
𖦹 ׂ 𓈒🐇 ೀ the reader is carmen.
WARNINGS: mentions of an eating disorder (reader), angsty, implied that reader is labeled prettiest girl in school (because ya’ll are <3) , fluffy, ooc min ho
Tumblr media
𖦹 ׂ 𓈒🐇 ೀ this wasn’t supposed to happen, people weren’t supposed to know about your eating disorder. it was a curse enough that they gave you the stupid label “prettiest girl in the school”, you didn’t need more people bothering you—you didn’t need people knowing your deepest secrets because of a dumb page called ‘@kissgossips’ it was humiliating, people were whispering while you walked down the hall, looking at you with pity—and of course—admiration, how couldn’t they?
𖦹 ׂ 𓈒🐇 ೀ you felt your head spin as you hurriedly opened the door of the janitor’s closet, breathing heavily as you tried to collect yourself, you wanted to rip your hair out—who could find out, and why spread it?
𖦹 ׂ 𓈒🐇 ೀ you felt tears trickle down your cheeks as you sat on the washing machine, burying your face in your palms as you tried to collect yourself, and that’s when you heard the door open
“not you-“ you sniffled as you watched min ho open the door, approaching you softly like you’re a deer in headlights
“are you-“ he started and you quickly mumbled with a sarcastic smile “no.”
“yeah, stupid question.” he mumbled and you just nodded, not trusting your voice enough.
“you don’t have to hold it in. not with me.” he said, looking at you, his same cocky smirk you always knew, but kind eyes
“you’re not gonna let me live it down if i don’t.” you said, voice shaky as you slightly giggled
“this is different though.”
“how so?”
“you’re actually hurt.”
“yeah, well…you’ve seen it too, i assume?” you ask quietly and he nods, not saying anything—and at that you tried so hard not to seem weak, especially not in front of min ho, the person you hated…no- disliked the most.
you couldn’t hold it in as tear’s prickled in your eyes again, soon enough the tears were flowing quietly as you hiccuped, and he pulled you into him, stroking your hair
“you’re fine, angel. s’not your fault.” he whispered softly as your hands gripped his back
“why are you so-so nice all of the sudden?” you whimpered and he looked slightly surprised
“you annoy me, so fucking much—but i don’t hate you, i couldn’t hate you even if i tried to.”
short one! i just wanted to say, i struggled with anorexia—it was so hard mentally and physically, so if anyone needs someone to talk to about this, or any problem really, feel free to send me a message <3

At the mercy of his charm
Tumblr media
Summary: Y/n struggles to keep her composure around her endlessly charming boyfriend, Min Ho, whose flirty and teasing nature leaves her flustered at every turn.
Min Ho always had that smirk on his face, the one that made my knees weak and my cheeks betray me. It wasn’t fair. How could someone be so effortlessly charming and completely aware of it? And, of course, he knew exactly how to use it against me.
I was sitting at the café, waiting for him to show up. I had texted him about meeting up for coffee, wanting to surprise him for once. But as always, he managed to turn the tables.
“Miss me already?” his voice came from behind me, low and teasing.
I jumped slightly, clutching my phone to my chest as I spun around. There he was, leaning casually against the back of my chair with that trademark grin. His perfectly styled hair caught the sunlight, making him look like he’d walked straight out of a movie.
“Y-you’re late,” I stammered, trying to sound annoyed, though the heat rising to my cheeks betrayed me.
“I wanted to give you time to miss me,” he said smoothly, sliding into the seat across from me.
I tried to roll my eyes, but the way he was looking at me – like I was the most interesting person in the room – made it impossible to maintain any sort of composure. He reached across the table, brushing a strand of hair away from my face.
“You look cute when you’re flustered, you know that?” he murmured, his voice dropping just enough to make my heart skip.
I froze, my brain short-circuiting at the sudden closeness. Did he have to do this every time? Did he enjoy watching me squirm? The answer, based on the mischievous glint in his eyes, was obviously yes.
“Stop that,” I mumbled, looking down at the menu to avoid his gaze.
“Stop what?” he asked, feigning innocence.
“That!” I gestured vaguely in his direction, my voice a little louder than I intended. “The whole… flirting thing you do.”
He chuckled, the sound warm and rich. “But I like flirting with you. It’s fun seeing you get all flustered.”
I groaned, burying my face in my hands. Why did he have to be like this? And why did I secretly like it so much?
“Hey,” he said softly, his teasing tone replaced by something gentler. I peeked at him through my fingers. “I’m only like this because I like you, you know.”
That made me lower my hands entirely. He wasn’t smirking now. He was looking at me with something softer in his eyes, something that made my heart do a strange little flip.
“I know,” I admitted quietly, my voice barely above a whisper.
And just like that, the teasing smirk was back. “Then you’ll just have to deal with it, won’t you?”
I glared at him, but it was no use. He knew he had me wrapped around his finger. And honestly, I wasn’t even mad about it.

unspoken || minho moon
minho x reader
summary: there was a moment of consideration as you gnawed on the inside of your mouth. the weight of your secret was becoming unbearable.
part two!
warnings: angst! insecurity. probably a few grammar errors
word count: 950+
masterlist
a/n: i fear i couldn't resist writing for him. first work for him so there isn't others in the masterlist. i wrote this pretty quick so i apologize in case.
Tumblr media
you always fought, but that night you didn't.
it was inevitable that when you and minho were around, some sort of bickering would ensue. it was as if the friendship you had relied on those sharp-tongued comments and eye rolls. there was some enjoyment in the banter; you could always rely on minho to be as quick-witted as you. most of the time, it was truly nonsense and comical to those around you, but sometimes he took it too far.
he would cross a boundary, known or unknown, and the aftermath was either venomous words spilling off your tongue or complete silence and avoidance.
it hurt, to ignore him. act like minho wasn't there. sure you would come around to him after a few days and pick right back up where you left off. and yes maybe it was unfair to ignore him after an argument, but that was you, that's what you did.
what you've really come to recognize is these silly little arguments hurt because you had feelings for minho. you hated the giddy feeling you had when he was around. the slight heat to your cheeks when he gave a real, genuine, compliment. the sizzling sensation that coursed through your skin when his hand brushed against you. or the way it felt like your chest was caving in on you and your lungs were screaming for help when minho confessed to q that he had a crush on someone, someone that isn't you.
so here you were avoiding him after he made an innocent remark about his crush. it shouldn't have, but it rubbed you the wrong way and perhaps it was because of the newfound knowledge of your feelings towards minho.
the evening was approaching and soon the sun would exchange places with the moon. the friday night would come alive and the sounds of eager students heading off campus would echo into the night, almost taunting you in your sadness. there was a nice footpath you've called home for the last week. after classes were finished you found yourself walking on the winding path away from school, taking in the fresh air and allowing yourself some peace. nestled a few feet away from the path was a small gazebo with a picnic table in the center. you sat down and allowed your eyes to close, soaking in the tranquility of nature away from the dizziness of life.
"hey..." a voice called out ripping you back to reality.
the voice. his voice. in this moment it made you feel sick. you swear you could feel the bile rising up and threatening to escape. your vision went white. heart beating so hard you could've sworn you saw its outline rising from your chest.
"hey minho," you exhaled as he sat across from you.
his throat bobbed, "how are you?"
you hummed in response, unsure what to say.
the silence between you stretches longer than it ever has. there was no space for quick-witted responses or light-hearted banter. minho didn't know what was the reason for your absence, but he missed you. when he looked at you your eyes didn't hold that mischief it normally possessed. he knew this was not a moment for a sarcastic quip.
"talk to me," minho nearly pleaded, eyes dancing across your face.
you paused trying to find a way to convey your thoughts to minho without confessing your feelings, "have you ever realized something too late?"
his eyebrow pulled up on his face, "well...of course, yeah. i think we all have."
"like, the thing is right there," you nearly laughed, "right in front of you the whole time. but by the time you realize, it's gone, it's moved on like everything else. i realized the importance of it too late."
you looked to minho who sat silently as you rambled. his eyes were clear of any judgment or jokes. the typical smirk etched on his lips was erased. his brows pulled softly together, a delicate ridge separating them. you watched as his hand snaked up from his lap and cradled your hand. his fingers lazily intertwining with your own.
"you know you can tell me anything," he said softly, his accent lighter.
you offered him a small smile. not a fake one, a real one. you could tell minho everything, everything but this. not when he is interested in someone else, you can't ruin that for him. can't ruin your friendship.
he sensed the hesitation, "...c'mon," he urged gently, eyes hopeful.
there was a moment of consideration as you gnawed on the inside of your mouth. the weight of your secret was becoming unbearable. all you wanted to do was scream at the top of your lungs for every person in KISS and for every star in the galaxy to hear that you were falling for minho. but before you could open your mouth and string together all the consonants and vowels for 'minho i'm falling for you' his phone rang.
minho's hand slid out from yours leaving you feeling icy but not as icy as the blood coursing through your body as you watched a shy smile adorn his face. one of his hands ran through his hair, a movement he did when he was feeling nervous, in a good way. you sat in agonizing silence waiting for him to hang up.
a pink hue dusted across his cheeks, "that was uh-"
"go," you replied softly, barely above a whisper, "have fun."
the moonlight that illuminated your face was now blocked my minho's standing figure. if you could, you wanted to be swallowed by his shadow into the darkness.
"oh. what were you going to say before the call?" minho asked.
you shook your head, "it was nothing."

Someone tries to flirt with their significant other
Character: In-ho, Min-su, Gyeong Seok, and Thanos
Y/n is gender neutral reader
Warnings: None just mention of cheating
Pt1 | PT2
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In-ho -
On one of your typical date nights with In-ho you went to this new restaurant that just opened nearby. When you guys were seated your waiter brought you guys a cup of wine and looked over at you and said “here’s a special drink on the house for a gorgeous person like you.” he winked at you before he left. You just looked at In-ho with a disgusted face. “Who does he think he is?” “How about we just leave, I'm not liking this” you said to him, but before you could get up he grabbed the top of your hands and said “let's see how things play out.” The waiter continued to flirt with you. In-ho saw how uncomfortable he was making you so he said that he was going to the bathroom which then left you and the waiter alone. He said “Just ditch that loser and come be with me, how about it?”
In-ho didn't go to the bathroom, he went straight to the manager and asked to talk to the head of the establishment, and him being the crazy rich man he is, he bought the restaurant and fired him.
That will teach him not to mess with me or the love of my life.” You just blushed at his words.
Min-su -
While you and min-su  took a walk around your new neighborhood since moving in together you saw a small park so both went to sit on the bench to feed the ducks some bread. Min-su offered to get the bread so you just sat there watching the ducks swim in the water. Soon a man approached you asking if you were alone and if you wanted to get some coffee with him. You declined the offer telling him you were waiting for your boyfriend. He thought you were bluffing just trying to get rid of him so he kept on pushing for you to go with him.
Min-su was coming back from getting the bread thinking about how happy your face would be feeding those ducks, but he soon saw the horrendous scene of some random guy trying to get you to come with him. Although he might be timid and shy he knew he had to protect you. So he went up to the person and said “You better back away from them now! You have no right in making them feel uncomfortable so leave!” He grumbled under his breath before leaving. Min-su quickly sat down on the bench next to you and took a breather. You saw that his legs were shaking a bit and you placed your hand on his leg making sure that he knew you were there with him.
“Thanks babe for stepping out of your comfort zone and protecting me.” You smiled at him and he soon felt his worries melt away. You both began to feed the ducks and when he looked over to see your face it was just like he imagined.
Gyeong Seok-
After picking up Na-yeon from school you guys would always head to the playgrounds so she could destress from school. You love your new marriage. You have such a beautiful step daughter and husband. While playing with Na-yeon she heard the ice cream truck and asked if she could get some ice cream Gyeong Seok took her, but while they were gone a businessman came over to you and asked for your number “im sorry but im married” you showed off your ring to the man. “But they don't have to know it can be our secret” im sorry but no please leave me alone
While getting their ice cream Na-yeon looked behind and pointed to your direction “Daddy, look we have to save them from the monster” After getting your ice creams Gyeong Seok picked up Na-yeon in his arms and ran towards you. She soon began to scream at the man “Get away you monster or else i'll throw this ice cream on you.” After seeing that the man ran so fast. You couldn't help but laugh. “I love you both so much!” you said, hugging them both.
Thanos-
You and Thanos decided to go clubbing tonight. You were both having a good time and then you both bumped into Nam Gyu.
“Yo wassup my boy I haven't seen you in a long time” said Thanos
“Yea man me neither! I work at this bar actually. I still see that you and Y/n are going strong”
“Woah you do I never even knew!! And of course we are!” “I even plan on proposing this year” he whispers at him making sure you didn't hear.
“Why don't you two go to the bar and chat a bit? I mean you guys haven't seen each other in a while.” you said.
“Well…” Thanos hesitated for a while not wanting to leave you alone but you just pushed him to go. “I’ll be back as soon as possible ok” After that you saw him and Nam Gyu both disappear into the crowd.
You went to take a seat at one of the tables and soon a strange man went to sit beside you.
“Hey what’s a stunning thing like you doing here alone.” He said, trying to move his hand around your shoulders. You inched away from his touch. “Don’t be like that i'm just trying to be friendly here” you felt so uncomfortable it was suffocating but you soon saw your tipsy boyfriend come back and he that some guy was trying to flirt with you.
“Huh!? Who the hell do you think you are talking to them without me around? You think you even have a chance with them, their way out of your league buddy you better apologize before things get messy.” He said intimidating the man, and so he did. He disappeared without leaving a trace. Thanos soon sat where that man once was and just hugged you.
“Babyy~ Let's get out of here I don't want anymore people coming to hit on you, your mine and mine alone ok so please don't leave me.” He said pouting. You love when he gets like this.
“Yea let’s go and thanks for saving me back there” you said, placing a kiss on his cheek. He blushed a bit and began humming his way out the club with you in his arms.

Okay, so no coffee with Q.
It’s fine, I’ll just head to Jenny’s modeling place after I get coffee.
“Order for *coffee order.*” The barista said.
“Thank you, have a great day!” I said.
“You too.” They said.
I made it to the place, and I was amazed.
There was a lot of things happening at once, but it was AMAZING!!
“Andrea!” Jenny said.
“Hi.”
“I’m going to speak Korean mainly, is there a name you would like be to say when I speak Korean?”
“Ah-ri or Ae ri will do.”
“Do you prefer one?”
“Ah-ri when we are alone, Ae ri with other people.”
“Alright.”
“By the way., call me eonnie”
“Anyway…”
I was zoning out, excited for my new career.
A picture of the modeling.
TIME SKIP: 8 HOURS LATER
“I am so glad you called me before I went home to get ramen.” I said
“You’re welcome, anyway, how was modeling?” Q asked.
“IT WAS AMAZING!” I said excited.
I blabbed on all the amazing stuff that happened and the outfits!
“Wow, that seemed fun!” Q said.
“Boring, as ever.”
“Oof. How was Min ho and Kitty?” I asked.
“Kitty has been okay, she’s always asking if your okay, and she’s so worried. And Min ho, he hasn’t been himself, he’s only been himself if Kitty’s around.” Q said.
“Are you gonna come back to the dorms?”
“Maybe, I just don’t feel comfortable going back yet. Plus Jenny or Ji-ae eonnie’s house is really awesome! I wish you could come over.” I said.
“I wished curfew wasn’t a thing.” Q said.
“You should get back. Curfew is in 30 minutes.” I said.
“All right, see you Monday.” Q said.
KITTY’S POV.
“Q!” I said.
“Where were you?”
“I was out shopping.” He said.
“Couldn’t you have gotten the stuff you needed yesterday when we went shopping.”
“Yea, but I forgot something.”
“Okay..?”
ANDREA’s POV
I went to mini fridge for my skincare to do my skincare.
“Min ho wasn’t himself, weird!” I thought.
I looked on my phone and they posted me!
Tumblr media
“I looked good!” I thought.
MIN HO’s POV
I looked on twitter and found a post about Ae-ri Song.
“She looks familiar,” I thought.
“But I can’t wrap my finger who she is.”
“But she is a beauty.”
“I hope we can meet soon.”
ANDREA’s POV
On Sunday, I went back to do a run through on the runway.
“She only got in because her cousin owns the place.” A girl said.
“Right, Binna.” The other girl said.
Binna? Hmm…
When it was Binna’s turn to walk, as she was walking she slipped a bit.
“Deserved!” I thought.
When it was my turn, I walked on the runway with a smile, but I was so nervous.
But I guess I had a confident aura, everyone started clapping.
“Nice job Ae-ri!” Ji-ae said.
“Thanks eonnie!” I said
“As a treat, we are going to get ice cream.”
“Really, thank you!
“Yea, you did a great job!”
At the ice cream shop, I saw Q, and….
KITTY AND MIN HO?
Thank God I had sunglasses and mask on, or I would have been fucked.
“Here’s your ice cream, have a nice day.” The worker said.
“Thanks, you too!” I said.
We went back home to eat.
I am so excited for the trip tomorrow.
