Aka, during the Sumeru Archon quest when the group has to save Ienzo from his nightmare, they run into Zexion who knows all too well that his somebody is in 20 layers of depression right now so he decides to test the little makeshift trio to make sure they're strong enough and care enough to get through to him.

Aka, I watched the HI3 Shattered Samsara and it inspired me to finally put some ideas for this segment to paper

if you've never seen the movie "Nightmare Before Christmas" first, watch it, second, there's a scene where one of the protagonists, Sally, removes her hands (she is a rag doll, she can put them back) and can mentally control them at a distance and does so in order to free Santa

Tim who has lost a hand and has his own personalized prosthetic gets captured, does a little twist with his arm and the arm comes off and hops around like Thing from the Addams family and Tim, using science or magic bs, directs it to help him undo his bonds and any Bat who is there with him, except Cass who knew, is freaking out a bit

or Tim realizes that his family doesn't know he's lost an arm, or just his hand, and decides to be a jerk/funny about it and when one of them asks him for a hand, he throws his prosthetic at them (he has a back up one ready to put on in case the sib doesn't give the arm back)

I have not watched that, lmao. I want to, but I hate watching movies on my own.

Anyways, I really like the "Tim loses a limb and builds himself a realistic looking prosthetic without the Bats finding out" AU. This is a nifty twist to it ^^

What else can his hand do? How does it work? Is it wired to a chip in his brain or something so he can command it even when it's not attached to his body?

Mundane AU!Laios thoughts

Note:

Probably contains spoilers

Mundane au= no magic and no fantasy 'races' (like... little people are a thing, they exist in reality, some people just have dwarfism. The elves are just skinny racist and xenophobic Europeans like? And there's already parralells made with the demi humans so if I do anything the orcs are Afro Native and Kobolds are somewhere African or Arab. And for the ogres... gigantism is a thing that exists in real like and totally a teen girl would just wear some horns.)

Thoughts:

The Toudens are European-born. From somewhere cold as hell, really isolated and conservative, that's close to some mountains, that's racist towards the local indigenous people.

(The sibs, but especially Laios got chewed out about some shit and has been trying to be better, slips up every now and then but takes criticism well so long as folks tell him what he did/said wrong).

Local weird kids put off vibes that the rest of the village didn't like, Laios and Falin grew up bullied and ostracized. Falin got sent off to schooling in the big city and later to a university in Italy where she met Marcille.

Laios dropped out of high school and joined the military as soon as he was able to b/c he wanted to get the hell out of dodge. Served for a few shitty years b4 just... deserting and backpacking across Europe just straight up homeless and working whatever odd jobs he could find. Man was going through it. Wound up in the same city where Falin was studying at a university in and decided to visit her. She took one look at him and refused to let him just go back to what he was doing, so Laios started couch surfing with her (very much against dorm rules but he looked terrible and Falin wasn't about to let anyone stop her from making sure her brother has a roof over his head and food).

Eventually, she takes him with her when she does a work-study in the USA for her ecology degree and they ended up staying/Falin kinda maybe sorta dropped out and got a job with a vet near where she was doing her work-study.

Laios and Falin are technically illegal immigrants but they're white so no one really questions their citizenship (their working on getting citizenship/papers)

Laios gets a GED. Does some self-study from Falin's textbooks and online stuff but that's about it for his schooling.

Laios definitely, like, lives in Falin's basement. Falin is the primary breadwinner in this household, Laios is aware of this and has learned to accept it even tho he would like to take care of his baby sister and sometimes feels bad about not being able to. They used to share a room in a cheap apartment but after building up enough savings they managed to buy a suspiciously cheap house in a rural town bordering a reservation and not far from a national park.

Laios still works odd jobs, mostly physical labor and stuff where they won't ask for a degree. Has worked retail, where his customer service was trash but he's darn good at just stocking and shelving shit.

Met Chilchuck while working retail, Chilchuck introduced him to the concept of a union which Laios thinks is really neat.

The town where the Touden's moved has a sizable population of people with dwarfism, Chilchuck is a notable member of the little person community in the area. The Touden's go to Chilchuck for help with paperwork (they pay him a small fee) and he doesn't ask too many questions about why they don't have this or that piece of documentation.

Laios enjoys doing citizen science and bird watching. During the tourist season, he runs a small wilderness guide giving campers and hikers tours in the local national park.

There's a hermit that lives in the national park illegally (Senshi) that Laios and Falin made friends with. They love his cooking.

Laios is active in the online furry community. He does commissions, mostly of digital and physical art or people's fursonas and vore stuff. He does great ferals, and decent anthros, but his human art is not good (he's working on it).

Laios is decidedly chubby in this, his weight goes up and down depending on the season and how much physical activity he's doing. But ever since he reunited with Falin, she's been making sure he doesn't skip meals if they can afford to eat. And ever since he met Senshi he's gotten heftier since he loves that man's cooking.

Was telling @alexmaybe​ the other day about my delightful realization that while Cass & Jason’s several month age gap means they can’t both be Shiva’s kid, there is enough of an age gap between Cass and Tim that they could be siblings. And that we have no idea when Willis Todd got Shiva’s contact info, so you can just daisy-chain the half-sibs of Cass & Tim sharing a bio-mom and Tim & Jason sharing a bio dad.

This resulted in us brainstorming lots of other “So-and-so’s bio parents is actually...” AU’s. Enjoy.

1. Shiva had a second kid after she had Cass, adopting the baby out to a “normal” family to compare how the two turn out. You know, for science. That kid is Tim. The bio dad is:

A. Willis Todd, so Tim is half-sibs to the two Bats on the most polar opposite sides of the “is killing okay” spectrum.

B. Ra’s, making Tim Talia’s half-brother and Damian’s uncle.

2. Dick time traveled and is the bio dad of:

A. Tim: Dick never met Janet before, why would he recognize her?

B. One of the Kents: there’s a grainy photo of Dick in Clark’s glasses, because he had them in his pocket when the time travel happened, and that photo later inspired Clark to try glasses as a disguise,

C. Talia: Ra’s is still her other bio dad, Dick had some clone machine blueprints in his pocket too, which Ra’s promptly stole along with his blood,

D. Bruce: Martha and Thomas were friends, not dating or engaged, when Martha found herself in a family way, and Thomas was game to help his friend legitimize her baby,

E. All of the above.

3. Ra’s is Dick’s biological father because John & Mary Grayson had a very adventurous summer. Ra’s has known the whole time, and is frankly a bit disappointed in Dick for not killing Tony Zucco (Ra’s refrained from killing the murderer of his lovers himself because sons have first dibs on vengeance).

Dick is unhappy about being related to Ra’s and Talia (and learning that both his parents had sex with Ra’s, ew ew ew), Talia isn’t too happy either, but Damian is thrilled to have a blood connection to Dick.

4. Talia is Dick’s biological mother via time travel. He is both her second born and eldest son.

5. Bruce is Tim’s biological father, also via time travel. Look, he did a routine gene test on Tim and discovered their degree of relation, but knew for a fact he had never slept with Janet Drake. Kept an eye out for time travel shenanigans, and when they struck, made sure to seek Janet out and father Tim. Tim is happy to exist but feels very weird about this.

6. Talia is Tim’s second mom (maybe via time travel, I’m unsure of her age). Maybe Talia is transgender, maybe she’s cis but the Lazarus Pits just do a swapsies sometimes. It happens!

7. Damian is Tim’s bio father via time travel. Tim gives him so much shit for trying to kill him while spouting ‘true blood son’ bullshit. Bruce bluescreens at the realization he has technically been a grandfather longer than he’s been a father.

YU-GI-OH! 5D’s — RAIN ORICHALCUM

FAMILY. Oh, there is nothing quite like sharing blood with Dartz Orichalcum.

I worked off an Atlantis AU in which Dartz had two children: Rain and Ranue. This was before the Spirit World existed, so monster and humans shared the Earth. Dartz despises monsters because they killed his father, Ironheart. Rain makes buddies with a monster (Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon), they fuse, aaand Rain is immediately outcast from Atlantis society by Dartz. Gotta keep the YGO trend of all the fathers of the year!! (She gets revenge by making him a prisoner in his own body but that’s a story for ANOTHER TIME)

Rain has a sister that is more like a clone because she was created by Rain splitting into her human and monster halves when the Spirit World came into existence. She’s named Rahlin(the one in the artwork wearing the suit)! They act as warm and close as if they were born sisters and care deeply for one another. Older bro Ranue is an inspiration to them both as he kept on supporting them even after her outcasting. He’s a super sweet boi who loves cooking and inventing using Orichalcos. Rahlin in particular takes after his science interests whereas Rain more aspires to be as kind and forgiving as him

And of course, with this being 5D’s, all the Signers become like a found family for Rain 💜 older bros Yusei, Jack, and Crow, lil Luna and Leo as the younger sibs, Aki as sis and fellow scarred psychic (and both of them being in love with uh… men that get them judged for it 😭) Jack is both who she fights with most AND the family member she is closest to lmao. They go through rough patches and at one point all lose their marks because of infighting!! But then they get them back plus the fun manga versions of the Signer Dragons :3c

Crimson Dragon, who is a speaking character in the series, actually is a good dad despite how cryptic he can be—he very much cares for his chosen children a lot and wants to see them all heal and succeed!

1) The Library Scene from “After”. I just want a college AU where Javi and Amelia are reading books in the library together, and stay there until it’s after hours and when the guard shows up with a flashlight and chases them off, they just RUN— just them being troublemakers together. (Also the lake kiss scene from After if that counts) (x)

2) The Auld Lang Syne scene from “Waterloo Bridge”. The farewell dance, the candles slowly going off, the last moment the couple got to be happy together, before shit went DOWN DOWN DOWN in their lives Q_Q. This scene made me cry the first time I watched it— and it still gets me emotional. A military AU for them would be so cuuuuutu (x)

3) Not particularly a movie scene, but the wedding at the end of the world, from The Umbrella Academy, Season 3. Something about apocalypses, weddings, a dysfunctional family, all getting together to celebrate their day together :3 (Warden Garcia can be Reggie Hargreeves and the entire team can be the sibs shitting on him and he can murder ollie later on or smth) but yeah Javi and Amelia getting married as the last people on earth and then just dancing to Teenage Dream as if nothing out of the ordinary and being so so SOOOO in love :3 (x)

4) the Befikre scene from Befikre, because that just literally feels like them. Daring each other to do INSANE shit. (x)

5) THE LAST KISS (the one with the cat) FROM BREAKFAST AT TIFFANIES. Audrey’s character from that movie felt very, VERY Amelia. And the guy was very Javi. Especially in that last scene, when she, out of her own frustration, lets her cat loose, and HE goes “if you can’t care abt your catto I WILL” and that’s when she realises she actually loves him and aagsjdsjshjdnsjdhdksk (x)

Scene I did my OCs in my AU, for their designs and anything, I thought it would be fair if each of the Mario Characters a redesign in my version. Some I design them will be the same but change it up a little bit.

Bio: Ludwig was the 3rd born of the Koopalings, Out of all of Morton Sr and Susan’s kids, Ludwig seems to be the much very smart one that seems to have a thing for Music and for example Classic. He seems to have a bad habit to be a control freak and would end up in a argument with his sibling. He use to have a special bound with his mother since she had taught him everything, even sometimes playing the piano. After Lemmy’s birth and The Koopalings father was killed, Susan ends up making a though decision to abandon her entire children and vanished right after, They never saw her again.

Ludwig never forgives her for throwing them away and had to carrie so much weight of leading his siblings for survival before getting adopted by The Koopa King. Ludwig over his time, counties with his working with his dreams of being a musician, develop into science and as well as leading his siblings but some were much better now *Got along with Larry and Lemmy*. As for his step brother Bowser Jr, he is shown to have a little jealousy of being Bowser’s favorite child because he was his only biological son. During that time, Kamek puts him and his siblings into Magic School were Ludwig got more practice and practice to make him very powerful. Bowser became impressed with Ludwigs performance, making him his 3rd commander of the Empire. During his battles with the magic he used for very spell he was taught to defeat his enemies, The Super Mario Bros which ends up getting outsmarted and fail each time.

When Ludwig later was focusing on his goals in life, He was distracted by Larry, claiming he’s got information about a new girl hanging out with Mario and his allies. After giving it a proper study they found out that girl was Mario’s sister. He along with Bowser Jr and his siblings sneaks into the Mushroom Kingdom and Kidnaps Mara. After she escapes, He along with everyone else have to distract Mario and his Allie’s while Bowser began putting up the finishing touches on his plan.

A month later when Bowser’s main plan is ready, Ludwig complains about not being the last choice to fight the Mario Siblings and instead the birth order of the Koopaling’s where he took over Forest Land.

Things get serious when the forest was attacked by powerful magic came from Ludwig Von Koopa. Once got to his Mecha Castle, They Fought s as Ludwig orders a Bullet Bill Bros and the Bob-mom bros. Ludwig attacks were gravity control, Target Magic Blast flutter jumping and stomp attack. The Battle ended as The Mario Sibs outsmarted the Koopa as They made the Bullet Bill Bro and the Bob-mom bro sends Ludwig flying from the explosion and landed into the water, He is not happy about that. After Bowsers defeat, He continues to Lead the Koopaling’s as well as his second command with Jr to the Koopa Empire.

Appearance: His hair has abit of an upgrade to make it a little fancy, Black rings on shell and ring, green spots shoulders and back, A necklace with a blue gem on and leather bracelets on ankles.

OK HI I’M BACK I HAD TO TABLE THIS WHILE I WAS AT WORK BUT I’M BACK. LONG REPLY AHEAD.

so two different things: 1) i once went insane after rick announced he was gonna drop a new book with the og trio, and i wrote a stranger things/pjo au where mike was percy and will was annabeth. no i don’t think mike’s a poseidon kid or will’s an athena kid. yes i do think they’re so freaking percabeth coded and would write like 100 different snippets again with them in this au. 

2) i’m assuming your questions are related to “what godly parent would everyone be” and i LOVE THIS QUESTION EVEN THOUGH SOME OF THEM (... mostly just el actually) I AM IFFY ON. i answered this like months ago when i wrote a byler fic that was inspired by percabeth’s arc in mark of athena, so i’m gonna. find that and add on to my answers.

El - Ok, tbh, she's probably the hardest of the kids to nail down, so I'm gonna go with the easiest answer and say Jupiter (not Zeus, idk El gives me Roman vibes and I can't explain it) because it lines up most to her powers. Character-wise, I think she's similar to Bianca di Angelo though, so I suppose maybe Hades could be a fun alt if we're ignoring her powers?

Mike and Nancy - Athena. Such Athena know-it-alls, and I love them for it. it’s just like... the wheelers are so smart. i swear if they actually got to interact they would be able to just figure everything out in the show. so basically, Athena made two brain babies with the beautiful Karen Wheeler because who needs Ted anyways.

Will and Jonathan - Apollo. Isn't is obvious? Art? Music? Yeah. Such Apollo kids. Also will and the light imagery with apollo being the god of the sun??? crying forever and ever, alright? Lonnie is the asshole stepfather.

Lucas and Erica - Nike. These two are just the best and radiate such competitive, go-getter energy. Big Nike vibes! alternatively? they also give me such poseidon vibes. lucas in particular feels like the ocean—a bit reckless at times, but then also calm and steady at other times. learns to adapt, but then in turn can also escalate a situation very quickly? something something like that. 

Dustin - Hephaestus, because Dustin's great with science-y/building type of things and is incredibly smart, which gives me Hephaestus vibes. like dustin’s just a little genius. he’d absolutely be a Hephaestus kid. 

Max - Ares/Mars. El needs another Roman camper with her, so let's go with Mars. Max just gives off those "don't fuck with me" vibes obviously, and I think her strength and resilience shown in S4 also gives huge Ares/Mars vibes. Billy is her half-brother on her godly parent's side, except he got all the bad qualities of their dad.

Steve - Hermes, for sure. Part of me wants Hermes!kid Dustin and Steve for the brother moments. something something, maybe dustin ends up in the unclaimed /hermes cabin for a while and steve is the counselor? and they bond that way, and steve is actually just really bummed whenever dustin leaves him? Robin - Apollo probably. She's in band and has that same kind of warmth that I feel like Apollo kids have, ya know? Also, I suppose that makes her half-sibs with the Byers which I fullsend support.

Eddie - Honestly, either an Apollo kid too OR he's some poor mortal who can see through the Mist and gets dragged along by the Fruity Four into this chaos.

Argyle - part of me wants to say Demeter because you cannot tell me the Demeter kids wouldn’t be growing weed. but Argyle ALSO gives me the vibes of a poor mortal that Jonathan picked up and decided to drag on a quest (isn’t that essentially the california plot lol?)

Idk if i havent seen it but is Raph the leader instead? Since i think it would fall on him without leo being there. What would his leadership be like? Wr know how his time being the leader ended up with, so how does he cope?

And if there's no leader, i just think they work together, with Raph callong the shots when it comes to fighting, Donnie caing the shots when it comes to important science stuff, and mikey calling the shots when it comes to interacting with new people.

Hello my friend! First off don't apologize for all the questions! I like answering them whenever I can and it's always nice to interact with everyone!! Second off sgsgsfsfsfsf I'm glad you're enjoying the Oroku siblings, they're literally are becoming my children at this point and it's just such a fun concept to play around with and knowing that others like em as well makes me super happy!! Now onwards to your questions-!!!!

Hmmm to be completely honest with you I've actually been thinking about the whole leader thing for this au and one of those thoughts for a possible leader was surprisingly enough Donnie. While I adore Raph to bits and pieces and he'd make a great leader, I also know that my boy is a passionate turtle who sometimes goes head first into things without really planning. And Mikey, while talented and a prodigy, can also be a bit spaced out and off the ball sometimes when it comes to leadership. Donnie on the other hand likes to plan things and when he's not completely stressed out he's pretty good in the strategy department. So going based on this logic if anything plus thinking about how Splinter chose Leo in the original series because of his quick thinking, he'd probably go with Donnie. That and personally I think it'd be an interesting idea to play around with since we've already seen Raph be the leader in Rise and in that one episode of 12. But I'm also thinking about just making all the boys have a say in leadership as well. Honestly it's got so many things that it could go and I'm just playing around with what would fit best! As for how he'd cope Raph would probably be very much like he was in the show only instead he'll be much more willing to intervene in Donnie's leadership role whenever he feels like something's not done right or he feels like his little brother is in need of guidance or assistance.

Ah yes Snake Karai! Honestly she'll still get turned into a snake mutant! It'll just be under different circumstances than the original ones in the show! I just have to figure it out better. I've got an idea of Karai getting caught by the Shredder to be used as a pawning chip to lure both Leo and Splinter out of hiding, only for it to not go according to his plans. I've got to plan it out more for it to make sense lol. It'd basically be an opening for Leo to bond with his original family and clan on a one on one type of ordeal, plus give him a chance to grow to be his own person away from Karai somewhat. Since Leo his entire life has been trained to be her bodyguard and in a way doesn't really feel like he has a sense of purpose other than to protect his older sister. Which is something that drives Karai nuts because she wants him to be able to feel like he has a choice in what his destiny should be instead of the lessons their ex master and father Shredder had drilled into him. Plus Karai's character growth would take place in the five months her little brother is in his coma since she's always been by her little brother's side since she was five and he was four.

As for the Space arc yes most definitely Karai would be joining the Hamato kids, April and Casey on their journey. Mainly to help protect Leo and her new little brothers as well as trying to save their father and planet. Basically wherever Leo goes, Karai is sure to follow and vice versa. It's one of the reasons why they're called the Princess of the Foot clan and the Shadow of the Foot clan because they're rarely seen without the other attached to their hip. And if it's something as dangerous as a journey to outer space with a android and several new alien species out there, you can bet that Big Sister Karai is definitely going to be tagging along with her little brother who seems to be a magnet for trouble on a good day. (That and the thought of letting Leo go alone on a journey like this fills Karai with a shit ton of anxiety. Because the last times Leo had been left alone without her had been when he was about six years old and had been seen by a villager who attacked him with field equipment giving him a nasty scar on his arm, and when he was about fifteen years old when the Shredder had beaten him to death and tried to drown him, resulting in a ruined knee, a wicked cracked scar on the back of his shell, a scarred and ruined throat and vocal chords and a five month coma. So she's pretty paranoid about leaving him alone during dangerous missions.)

Thinking Abt older brother venti modern au. Like if his sibling asks for help ( like math homework or something) he would be like

If i see venti with a sibling (that isnt twin!Himmel), I could see him with a sibling that has a pretty drastic age gap. LIke, 18 y/o venti and his little sibling that's like 10. he's a typical older brother, too. but he also acts like a younger sibling sometimes, especially when his sibling starts heading into their teens. This is what i mean

but on the subject of school homework, absolutely. and since his sibling is relatively young, they come home with simple stuff!! like multiplications, PEDMAS, simple fractions, maybe some science assignments on the environment... you know, simple stuff!! but every damn day that venti tries to help his lil sib with their homework, it ends with them going "you're supposed to be smarter than me, but nevermind. MOOOOMM!" but then there's venti shushing them bc he knows from experience that if his mom hears that he's struggling to help a ten year old with homework, he'll never hear the end of it.

because yes, i think modern AU venti takes after his mother a LOT. both in personality and looks.
