Ren - He's like...some wealthy rich kid. I like to think he's an heir and supposed to inherit some company but he's never taken the thing seriously. He'll never talk about his family tho, mostly his dad, his mother left him and Ren doesn't remember her.

tbh I don't think anyone knows he's like rich lol. Maybe Asaka and Tetsu but he doesn't really act the type?? Maybe he throws money around...at cards mostly but man does not live that lavish lifestyle.

Probably gets cut off some funds when he's an adult but idk I can see him saving money or finding a way to have cash so he's p set doing...whatever it is he does as an adult (pre branch chief).

I joked once that he could probably get away with working anywhere and I kinda believe it?? Man says he works here and can play it off like nothing but only works one day and is never seen again...

Would randomly crash into his homies places in the middle of the night. You're sleeping? No problem. Ren is there, maybe grabbing something from the fridge before sleeping on the couch or the bed. It's impossible to Ren proof your home.

Asshole would 100% pick a random box from a cardshop and it has the most expensive Shadow Paladin card in it. Doesn't even need Psyqualia this just happens naturally.

Aichi - He's good with speaking other languages like...he knows the words/phrases/whatever to say but thinking isn't the same as speaking. So he usually trips over his words. Can translate very well just give him a sec so he doesn't mess up words.

100% a lil bookworm. Didn't have a lot of friends in his youth so he turned to books. That was like his escape fantasy along with thinking of Vanguard.

No matter how much more confident he is in his older years...he still struggles with public speaking. Please don't make him go up and talk to the crowd...he's so nervous...

Likes to send Emi and his mom gifts!! Little things from traveling. Would send Emi ocean/mermaid related things and I think in a note somewhere his mom plays Vanguard too (I think it was something to do with hot men?? let it be touken ranbu...) he'll send her things related to what she plays and just whatever she wants lol

Kazumi - Hates his family lmao. He's on bad terms with his father and is a little better with his mom but not really. The only good one in his fam was Kazuma (pleading emoji).

Knows how to conceal his true feelings p well?? He has to in the business world and around his parents. So he'll bottle up things a lot. His more childish side peeks through usually during Vanguard or when he's around people he knows he can relax with.

Wants to learn how to cook and kinda be on his own?? He doesn't want to rely on his family's wealth and probably only uses it for housing, away from the main house, but he wants to be able to live on his own and not follow the family name.

Has a lil...dragon collection. Maybe it's cuz of Shiranui but I like to think he collects little dragon trinkets. Please don't let him go off about his collection because he will. Also is v proud of it.

Mamoru - He doesn't make dad jokes, other people make dad jokes for him!! He takes care of Ryuzu and just kinda...adopted him?? Yeah the whole association is supposed to take care of him but legally he is Mamoru's kid.

He needs to take better care of himself. Probably eats fast food or whatever the dragon empire cafeteria has that's quick and can be found sleeping at his desk, especially during the heavier seasons. Tokoha usually helps him out but he's gotten a little better at it.

Probably would have been like...a teacher or something in that field if he wasn't doing Vanguard. That wouldn't be his go to or something he aspired at first but that's what he would have settled upon.

Somehow knows everyone. Could say hi to someone on the street and has seen/spoken to them before. I like to think he's kinda famous cuz of his status and all the stuff he does but like...a lot of locals know him too. Support the community!!

Overdress

Yuyu - Ends up going to the student council because of Raika lol. I don't think he'd go for any of the president or VP seats but would do something like secretary or treasurer.

Would go out of state for college!! He wants to be a pro Vanguard fighter but wants to get a degree for his fam. His sisters all have degrees so baby boy has to do it to!!

Probably genderfluid. tbh? Doesn't mind dressing up as feminine but doesn't quite like the frilly dresses his sisters pick out for him. I think he'd like more of the androgynous stuff.

He's not into max rarity for his decks. He pulls like 1 SP/FFR and is like aight cool. At most he'd would make his sideline bling but wouldn't go insane over it. Also he's a high schooler so he has no budget for this lskfjds

Tohya - Got disowned from his fam. Or at least kicked out of his house due to dropping out of med school. Homie was on his way to the big doctor leagues and then...gives it up for silly cardboard?? Yeah no his fam ain't having that bye bye.

He didn't finish school yeah but tbh he could be like...a roaming doctor. I think he was the top of his class and he knows his shit (and probably studies up on the side but not that much) so he knows what's up. Charges you with a cardfight instead of money. help him.

Stopped eating ramen for a while. Man was traumatized by the ramen challenge. It's okay he got over it and he can eat cup noodles on his own now.

He travels a lot but I like to think he p much lives at Danji's old place?? So if you wana catch him he usually goes back there. He can't officially leave because he has to take care of the turtle. Granted some Blackout members do if he can't but!! turtle is his responsibility.

Just wanted to say that I do recommend G series sometimes whenever you have free time mostly because the characters are indeed interesting and probably some of my personal favourites. (OG has good characters that never appeared in the manga/V series adaptation don't get me wrong.)

Though G just really had characters I loved. Though outside of the main there is a reason why new Nippon are probably my favourite. (Victories don't get like much time on screen together due to when they formed. But still love them and just opens up headcannon's.)

Is the fact New Nippon is canonically a gay poly trio and I genuinely loved them more for that. Plus just genuinely fun characters on their own even.

Been wanting to do this for a while as I figured it might be fun and it's characters I just care about. Despite kinda not getting the potential they could have had if they got to do more.

It will just really be text posts when answering questions for Arata, Makoto or Noa.

It doesn't have to directly be anything about the show itself. the questions could just be something in general. Since a lot of it probably will involve headcannon's to extend on anything or if it feels fitting.

How it will work since there are three in team New Nippon. (Rather than separating them) You can choose who to ask if it is directed at one specifically, ask two at the same time or all three. I will different who is answering by having their name before the answer if it is more than one character in the same ask.

i find this kind of difficult to settle down actually! i'll first talk about this in canon setting.

i am 100% sure shindou fell first for various reasons (that do include the life changing "maybe i just wanted to see that smile of his" line) while for tenma was more of a gradual process. i usually visualize it like this: shindou realizes, but the process he goes through is more of acceptance of his own feelings while tenma gradually realizes them but is faster to acknowledge and accept. (in canon setting i usually aim for post-galaxy for a simple reason, aka galaxy being the epilogue of the go series and therefore the moment where their development reached its (canon) peak). here i think tenma would be more straightforward than shindou for sure, maybe even being the one to make the first move. no actually, tenma's generally more prone to confess his feelings first for me. it's about how instinctive he can be at times and not only, because he may be oblivious but once the realization hits him it's easier for him to go straight to the point. i do NOT mean it's not complicated for tenma too, just a little less than shindou. this is totally headcanon territory but i think that shindou got struck with realization around the end of holy road, either a little before (hospital scene) or a little after (time in between celebrations). the three months between go1 and chrono stone are totally a time where he can reflect, and he does! but his musings are interrupted by the total insanity that are the events of cs (i love cs i need to rewatch it so bad). in galaxy shindou is constantly stressed but i do think there are instances where the thought is recurring (the aforementioned gradual process of acceptance) which probably doesn't help him at all but set him up to finally recognize those feelings. i just think shindou is more the type to keep his feelings [for another person, in this case tenma] for himself rather than expressing them directly, or at least for the first part.

now we finally get to the actual question, where i forget everything i just said about canon go timeline for good 👍 aged up i think the dynamic would change but not too much? like if we consider the two of them aware of their mutual feelings i'd still see tenma being the first to confess and try to start a relationship. though in this context i think shindou would have a little more of initiative than his younger self and a slightly higher percentage of being the one who makes the first move. also i don't think you meant that but when you mentioned "propose" i directly thought of marriage proposal lol so here are my two cents on it too. shindou would totallyyyy be the one to propose and i kinda see tenma being unsure or hesitant about it, mainly because it'd be a bigger change in the relationship and for symbolic value too. i can picture him being anxious (still ultimately happy about it, but anxious in the meantime) about the proposal as if he wasn't the one that started everything lol

An old Shonen from the 70’s-80’s about pro wrestling, so obviously it peaked my interest. I watched the dub of the sequel series, Ultimate Muscle, when I was much younger, but I’d only ever seen snippets of the original anime for a long time, and this year I finally decided to watch it! Now while it is good, having a fun cast of characters (so fun one of them is literally my pfp) it is definitely a product of its time in the sense that it’s got a few problematic scenes and characters which definitely makes some feel uncomfortable watching, if you do wanna watch it but don’t wanna see any of that stuff (which is completely understandable) I’d say wait for the reboot anime which should be getting some news about it next month and will definitely be cutting out a lot of the outdated material or you can just skip to Kinnikuman Nisei.

I just felt like asking about Inamine. I can't think of anything specific to ask but just want to hear about the ship more if you don't mind. (I struggled asking tbh but that's just me.)

YAY INAMINE ASK🎉🎉 (also dw about struggling w asks its a very real thing) (ramble under the cut because it got a bit long you know how it is)

i think everyone knows already but there's no canon base for the ship itself lol, they're just two guys i liked enough to pair together.

i don't think yoshimine has any defining traits other than being a good forward (literally, that's his game description) and even if it's been a hot minute since the last time i watched inago, i don't think he had something specific in the anime. he was just there with his flying fish hissatsu beating up sangoku until raimon obviously won. i think i made up most of his personality atp, but i believe compared to his kaiou teammates he's a little less arrogant and all, but he's still a seed. as for inaba, WE HAVE AN USEFUL IN-GAME DESC🎉 and he's rude and overconfident and prideful and i love him for that. i think everyone hates him at some point because he has a terrible personality. inaba and yoshimine don't get along well, they probably hate each other at first. inaba because he thinks lowly of yoshimine and yoshimine because he can't stand inaba's attitude. after the first episodes kuro no kishidan disappears, and i personally headcanon that after tsurugi left they just disbanded the team and fifth sector doesn't give a fuck about the members so inaba is still around their influence but isn't regarded at all. for kaiou, a team of all seeds, i think they sent them back to god eden. yea this one's pretty bad sorry. so maybe inaba and yoshimine knew each other in not so good terms before kaiou's loss and started to get a bit more along after that. it makes sense in my head, i swear. but also they're doomed because yoshimine is sent back to god eden so like, they don't see each other until the protags fix everything. also as far as i know inaba isn't a seed, just a player who's under fifth sector but i like to believe he is one because it would make much more sense. in my perfect world inaba and yoshimine met in god eden without recognizing each other, but still, they're both first years and holy road is at the start of the school year so we have three thousand plot holes, like: when did they go to god eden? how did they even met each other there? when was kuro no kishidan created? i think akihiro hino should answer my questions. jokes aside i cant make it work without tweaking a bit of canon or ignoring canon itself, but we ball. now, ignoring the plot because otherwise i will go insane, i think it would be so fucking funny if inaba was the one who had a crush on the other. he would totally hate it and try to ignore it so much it'd make him crazy. both are on some stupid level of loser anyway so it's not that it would be better if we reverse the roles. they're the kind of couple that disagrees on almost everything and broke up at least 3 times but they still work somehow. they're kinda terrible but i love them they r my losers (and who knows, maybe every once in a while they can be sweet with eo)
