There was so much to take in—the forest, which, even though Scarlett wasn’t the biggest fan of, was a pleasant and beautiful setting. The breathtaking waterfall. The fact that Illyana wasn’t wearing anything. And the old, strange book she was reading, that with Scarlett’s curiosity, could lead to some questions later.

But even with all of that going on, the sword was still the thing that caught Scarlett’s attention the most. Her weapon of choice was the bow, sure, but swords had always fascinated her–she had some experience with it, but by no means was she the best swordswoman around–the same way. And the Soul Sword? She’d never seen anything like it up close.

“Right...” she nodded slightly, a few questions forming in her mind but taking a backseat for the moment.

The explanation only made her want to get closer, but Scarlett held herself back. Partly because it felt a bit disrespectful of sorts to touch the blade now that she knew the it was made from Illyana’s soul. And of course, there was still the threat that she could turn to dust, something she wanted to avoid at all costs. The best thing was to keep her hands away from the sword.

“The coolest things are always the most dangerous. Makes sense.” she remarked with a slight grin on her face. “So only you can wield it? Kinda like Thor's hammer. That's interesting.”

     It was a wonder how the daughter of Clint Barton and Natasha Romanova had managed to track down the Queen of Limbo . . . but perhaps when your parents were super assassins ? You shouldn't put it passed someone like Scarlett to figure it out .

     Now realizing she wasn't alone in the secluded woods overlooking a breathtaking waterfall , the bare woman would shut the ancient tome she had been reading ; turning to face the other as the question was posed , ❝ It's the truth .❞ . Illyana was now rising to her feet , approaching the blade in question and hoisting it from the soil it had once penetrated , ❝ The sword is fabricated out of my soul . . . once stolen from me by my ex-husband . ❞

     Belasco . . . that Ублюдок . . . ❝ So if someone besides me even so much as graze a finger tip across it ? Well , пыль на ветру . ❞

I see a lot of people upset about William Kaplan being dead and no one mourning him cus Billy stole his body and I just don't see it that way. The kid in Wanda Vision is Billy Maximoff, The teenager at the Bar Mitzvah is William Kaplan, the Teen that got taken to the hospital after the wreck is neither and both Billy Maximoff and William Kaplan. That Teen went home with the abilities of Billy Maximoff, to the home of William Kaplan, with memories of neither and lived there for three years. He cares about Rebecca and Jeff, he lied to the to protect them from pain, they are his parents. He wants to find Tommy, he has magical powers, he wants to know who he is. All of these things are true. I wouldn't say William Kaplan is dead he just doesn't remember, like Agatha wasn't dead when he was Agnes, she just didn't remember.

One of the funniest bits of Caraval is Scarlett gets taken to this magical island, enters a notebook, dies for a day, sees people get stabbed, hears someone getting tortured on a secret underground passage (seriously, what was that), sees a mangled corpse AND her fianceé rip up her boyfriend's face leaving a permanent scar and then at the end of it all when she asks Julian if that is really his name he's OFFENDED

can't believe this hasn't been said before but unhinged!scarlett and unhinged!dave would be an iconic duo. shame pi didn't get a second season bc these two in an alliance would basically succeed in destroying the island, they'd wipe everyone out

the fact that they're both versions of the nerd character so they're already smart in their own ways, the fact that they have absolutely zero fucks to give anymore, their individual darker sides have come out (whether it was hidden consciously (scarlett) or unconsciously (dave)), and they've each attempted to kill/seriously injure one or more contestant(s) (and mess up the island in the process) just to reach their end goal. imagine if these two found a common goal somehow, literally nothing could get in their paths (except possibly each other)

Koda: He thinks you’re interesting, he was tasked with helping you find the dorm and will definitely offer to carry some of your bags with him. He’d like to be friends with you, but doesn’t want to come off too extreme.

Scarlett: The actual first time? You met Scarlett when you were human, and Scarlett tends to veer away from them. Of course, the customary greetings needed to happen and Scarlett was nothing but cordial. However, she thought you were foolish for knowingly going into the belly of the beast.

Cyrus/Cyra: They’re so flustered the first time that they meet you that they don’t truly have a first reaction— other than being completely apologetic. They do note how cool your skin feels against their natural warmth though.

Quinn: They’re intrigued. You’re the person they’ve heard so much about? You’re not at all like they imagined, and they’re interested in finding out more. For now? They’ll just simply wait to see what happens.

Caden: They didn’t really have any strong first impression thoughts— they just associated you with being their employer and that’s about it. They did think you had a nice smile though.

Sloane: They want you to get the fuck away from them, they’re fine without having some vamp mess with them, and even more fine with not having a whole ass entourage come too, but they realize they have to begrudgingly come with you because you’re headed to the dorm too.

Blake: It was your eyes, something in your eyes told them that they could trust you, and that’s the first thought that they had. That you had kind eyes, even with everything going on around you, and they wanted to stick around and have that gaze be on them.

Reginald/Regina: They’re mainly thinking— holy shit I’m talking to an actual vampire right now. They’re sort of looking you over to see if vampires are like what the myths say or if they’re different— growing more and more curious with each moment that passes.
