it is my birthday so it is indulgent au hour. this started with a request on patreon and got out of hand oops

more info below the cut:

-Fu tried giving the Ladybug Miraculous to Marinette but, when she helped him on the street, she insisted on helping him all the way home (she was just straight up going to ditch going to school and used him as an excuse) -due to her uncanny clumsiness and absolutely horrible bad luck, she ended up knocking the unlocked miracle box down and in a rush, Fu passed her the wrong miraculous (oops!) -Trixx tried explaining the situation to her but she wanted nothing to do with Hawkmoth and decided to just keep Trixx. When Fu came back for the necklace, Marinette (with a taste of freedom Jekyll and Hyde style) threatened to reveal his identity and his home to Hawkmoth if he tried to take Trixx from her -Fu can still sense righteousness within her and allowed it. Alya and Nino are the holders for the Ladybug and Black Cat miraculous as a result - Alya as Scarabella has two goals: take down Hawkmoth and reclaim the Fox miraculous - the issue is Kitclown is really funny and charming and watching bad things happen to bad people is super great and she always falters last second lol

More redesigns!!! This time it’s Miss Hound, Scarabella, Queen Bee, and Vesperia. To explain the changes I made:

Miss Hound

Out of all the hero designs, her canon design is one of my least favorites; I actively dislike it. So I went for a very magical girl vibe with her (ruffles along the pant hem and cuffs). I also changed the mask a LOT (the old one made her look like she didn’t have eyebrows) and got rid of the beret completely, instead opting for dog ears. The beret was ugly... I don’t remember if I based her off a specific dog or not but the closest dog I can think of is a jack russel. Also she has a tail!

Scarabella

I also dislike her canon design but not as much as Miss Hound. I really wish they gave her an afro like in the concept sketches (it looked so cute!!!!). I changed her top into a dress that has a slit in the back; it’s meant to resemble ladybug wings. The strips of fabric also look like antennae. I kept with the knee-high boots but made them look more boot-like (heals). I also moved her yo-yo cause... why was it over her crotch in the first place???? weird >_>. Two cornrows into hair puffs cause it’s cute <3. I really wish the show would give her more black hair styles instead of straightening it when she transforms. Also, i couldn’t figure out a pattern for the mask so I kept it blank

Queen Bee

I think her canon design is cute! I only changed it to be what I think embodies Chloe. Most of the outfit is meant to resemble features of a bee such as the dress looking like a stinger, legwarmers to represent pollen, the stripes of a bee, and even the beehive hair do. I like the way the canon mask design looks like eyeliner so I just accentuated that more. i think arm gloves also makes her look classy.

Vesperia

Hot Take! I like Vesperia’s canon design, idrc that it looks like a wasp and not a bee, it slays (especially the boots). Still, changes could be made! Her redesign is meant to reflect the fact that she’s from New York, so i gave her streetstyle pants and an asymmetrical top. Tbh, she kinda looks like a street fighter. Her mask is meant to resemble the markings of a wasp. I also gave her the same beehive hair style as Chloe but moved it down for something more relaxed. I like how her and Chloe’s gloves are like opposites design both being fingerless. Same idea of making her more bee like w/ the pollen on the boots and the stripes

The Miraculous leaders and their understudies? Teehee Scarabella and Kitty noire. I love to see people's ideas of Marinette training Alya to be the next guardian/ladybug if needed but I also like to include Adrien because yeah im one of those people <\3 The Adrien and Zoe friendship is under explored... Although Zoe as a character in the show is under explored so I get why it's hard to imagine her interacting with people. I just think the whole kitty noire thing was cool and I like kwami swaps. Was it too controversial to make Scarabellas hair black? Also pls appreciate me trying to do hero suit designs i struggle sooo hard with costumes I'm way better at normal clothes JSJJS

Okay but can you IMAGINE if the earrings had gone to Alya like Marinette wanted them to? 

Instead of having a "designated responsible hero", Scarabella and Chat Noir would just be a pair of gremlins high on life because THEY'RE SUPERHEROES OMGOSH they would spend half their time geeking out and basically exuding chaotic sibling energy the entire time. 

They would reveal their identities to each other right off the bat because neither was paying attention when they were told not to, and Tikki just groans. Alya and Adrien quickly bond over being new kids at school who have superpowers, and everyone else is baffled.

Alya decides to try Clark Kenting and run the Scarablog, and Adrien is like "that's an amazing idea I'll help!" and shenanigans ensue. Marinette (who knows Alya is Scarabella since she snuck the earrings to Alya before any of this started) has befriended Alya as in canon but HASN'T told her that she knows her identity, so she gets dragged into the Scarablog staff and ends up doing most of the fieldwork and vlogging, desperately trying to do anything to cover up Scarabella's and Chat's identities (she knows Scarabella's, but doesn't know Chat's) while trying to avoid getting distracted by Adrien, who she's crushing on big time like in canon. 

For his part, Adrien gets totally enamored with Marinette because Ladybug isn't there to distract him and because Scarabella is already more sibling material than lover material, but he thinks Marinette dislikes him and his brand so instead tries to woo her as Chat Noir and more shenanigans happen. 

Nino, however, is low key crushing on Scarabella, and joins the Scarablog staff to try and learn more about her. Alya finds this amusing and kind of adorable, but doesn't really reciprocate for a while because she and Nino don't get locked in the zoo. She does let him investigate on his own, because she thinks pursuing the truth is a noble endeavor and in the meantime the blog can use his skills. Marinette starts silently screaming because GOSH DARNIT the identities are supposed to stay secret! 

Chloe is a huge fan of Scarabella and Chat Noir. She keeps trying to force herself onto the Scarablog team… But Alya is having none of it and throws her out. Chloe engages in spying shenanigans and tries to force Sabrina onto the team in her stead, but that just results in Sabrina getting character development. 

Lila shows up. Nino, desperately trying to learn more about Scarabella, falls for her lies hook line and sinker (sorry Nino, someone has to) but since Alya and Adrien both know each other's identities they see through her lies and (with Marinette) burst her bubble almost immediately. However, since Marinette actually has free time she can do her job as Class Pres and calm Lila down (a la zoe-oneesama's Scarlet Lady AU), and soon Lila shows up on the Scarablog's door offering to investigate Hawkmoth. Her main goal is fame and fortune, but eh Alya knows a good tool when she sees one. Chloe is fuming, and soon Lila gleefully engages in Spy vs Spy shenanigans with her. 

Fu is like "WHOMST IS SCARABELLA" and tells Adrien that Scarabella isn't supposed to be the Ladybug wielder and Adrien briefly angsts about it but is like "who cares have you met her she's literally a great hero and that's what matters" 

Fu is undeterred and keeps trying to give Marinette more miraculouses and she just keeps them in her room and doesn't use them

On the la terreur AU might I ask what's the situation regarding Multimouse, scarabella and Ladybug since it seems Mari is posing as both supers? Why Is she doing so and how? What does everyone else think on LB giving her miraculous to Scarabella? Thank you and sorry if this was too long or already answered! I'm just curious :)

Hi ! Since the hawkmoth situation is a little more serious than in the show ladybug’s miracle cure ability becomes absolutely mandatory. Marinette, being a major preper, anticipated that she might need a ladybug replacement one day. Who would it be ? Alya of course.

In short ladybug is training scarabella to take her place if something were to happen to her ! She starts out accompanying her as multimouse under the guise of also being trained by ladybug.

It works well for a time even if Marinette has some complicated feelings on the matter.

The rest of the team respect ladybug’s decision but they all have pretty high standards for scarabella. Except chat noir, who is a bitch. The entire time.

He’s not a big fan of the idea that his partner might get replaced. Or that he might get replaced !

Scarabella and Kittynoire from that one scene in their episode but with my redesigns. I decided to give kitty her green hair back because she deserves it. Couldn’t be bothered to draw the background, maybe someday.
