Sharing my experience with GRABFOOD to warn you guys.

FYI

I made a food order recently through their app using pay via mastercard option.

They sent me a notification on the same app saying payment did not push through so I need to click on their message to process payment. If I don't, then I may not be allowed to order next time using the mastercard payment option.

So I processed it.

It ended up with a double debit, aka the amount was deducted twice from my account.

I already called my bank and they confirmed the amount was debited twice so I need to request Grab to issue a cancellation memo.

It has now been weeks that I have been going in circles with Grab Support Centre because they still would not issue a memo.

Honestly, it should be easy to check given that they too must have an SOA from the bank of transfer. But no, they would not.

I did my research and apparently, this happened to others too. The money went to grab and they would not return it.

So please be warned.

I've been getting this a whole lot and it's really frustrating because I do try to spread the message about what's going on in Gaza, and I try to reblog aid stuff. But, there's literally no way in hell someone that needed that help would go to my blog to ask for it. I post about Gaza occasionally, i am a minor so I #cant get a job, and I have literally 27 followers on here. The scam still manages to make me feel bad though. Hhhawhhwebhbe can't we just go back to sex bots in my dms???? That's just annoying and not something that actively ruins my day. These are literally the only asks I have gotten on here.

I really hate that the notification icon doesn’t go away because they moved that new daily offers feature in there. I keep checking it thinking that it’s a challenges reward or a reminder that there are still daily ads to watch but it’s this permanent shit I can’t get rid of :/

Yet another fucking reason ticketmaster should burn in hell. My brother's account got hacked and the NINE tickets he got for his bachelor party at a New York Bill's game got stolen. After spending all day on the phone with support, the only thing they offered him was "if you rebuy tickets for the game we'll waive the fees" for a game that's nearly sold out and prices have gone up. So not only will he most likely not be able to get 9 seats that are together, he'll still probably have to pay more for them! And it's not like they just can't go, he lives in STL. They already bought nonrefundable plane tickets, paid for the hotel, etc!!! FUCK TICKETMASTER

I was on TikTok and came across a video of this lady talking about her multi-year celibacy journey and my aroace ass was so confused. And then I opened up her comment section and it was full of women who were all talking about THEIR multi-year celibacy journeys. One woman was on year 30. No one was talking about being asexual or aroace or nothing. And that was the exact moment that I realized that labels don’t mean shit actually. They all seemed to identify as straight women, just celibate ones. Anyway fuck being aroace I’m on year ‘my-age’ of my celibacy journey thank you and goodbye.

Lately all I see are scam job listing spam all over the for you section of my dash. I report them as spam every time I see them but Jesus there are so many.

Anyone else seeing this shit? It’s mostly accounts claiming to be Amazon or FedEx hiring and the links lead to definitely not fake definitely not phishing links.

MAYBE buckle up for some general audience Byler posts because I just gaslit my friend HARD into thinking I hadn’t totally spoiled Stranger Things for her.

So she doesn’t really follow pop culture or fact check pop culture stuff on google and also she is notorious for forgetting major plot points I’ve spoiled very quickly. Her record is [9-1-1 spoilers] forgetting I told her Eddie got shot within a day [end of spoiler]. 

So I was telling her about Stranger Things and spoiling it for her bc she doesn’t watch it and then I was like “damn I wish I hadn’t so I could send you in blind and hear what you have to say and kinda live vicariously through your first watch” yk?

And then I said MOSTLY AS A JOKE BECAUSE I DID NOT THINK IT WOULD WORK: Unrelated! There’s this other cool DnD show called Stranger Things you should watch. And she was like “Isn’t that what we were just talking about?” and I doubled down and said NO. The one we were just talking about was the Snape kid one (she thinks Mike looks like a young Snape). And she was just like...oh okay.

And then I thought she caught me because she was like “hold on” and sent a YouTube link and I thought it was gonna be like a clip of a plot point I told her titled “Stranger Things” or something. But it was just a DnD podcast and we started talking about that instead. 

I asked her to watch it and she said usually she wouldn’t but because she loved my 9-1-1 recommendation I was earning some points with her. So she’s gonna text me if/when she starts it. And then she went to sleep.

So ummmm.....yeah basically

tldr: I spoiled Stranger Things for my friend then as a joke said “I wish I hadn’t spoiled Stranger Things for you because then I could send you in blind and hear your thoughts but you should watch this other show Stranger Things.” And she caught me for a second but I doubled down and then we changed the subject and the conversation ended. Also, she is notorious for forgetting things so the odds that she doesn’t catch on are higher than you think.

My one concern is that she will recognize Steve because she recognized him beforehand but if she does I’m just gonna tell her “haha he has a crazy specific typecast for DnD shows amiright?” and if she asks what the other show is called I’m prepared to say “I won’t tell you so that maybe someday you forget and I can recommend it to you” because I’m a meta evil genius like that. And since she’s likely to forget the plot points, she could actually probably talk to people about the show without my lie getting busted. I mean, I hope she doesn’t and she’s unlikely to anyways but...this is actually kind of weirdly air tight.

My goal is to stay friends with her through 2024/the season 5 release and have her believe it the whole time and tell her after the finale. But I am feeling fucking maniacle right now.

Oh also! She doesn’t know them by their names. I mentioned briefly at the beginning Steve, Mike, and Will but that was around the same time I said “Stranger Things” and she forgot that. For the rest of the conversation, I just referred to them as “Snape, Enola, and Bowlcut”
