Hi ! It's going to sound weird but....

How do you think Kai would have influenced Luke's personality if Luke actually won during the merge ?

I know Kai was stronger, but let's say Luke wins.

He was already pretty strong since he was able to break Liv out of the spell she was trying to do. He was stronger than his sister. He would have won if they were to do the merge. I don't exactly remember how powerful he was but I suppose he was fairly quite good with magic.

And magical powers aside, he has quite a strong personality. He's fed up with the Mystic Falls gang bullshit. He was not even that scared of Kai. I mean, he knew his brother was a freaking threat, but he did not hesitate to go on his own and do the merge with Kai. Even when Kai didn't want to do it Luke was like "Hey bitch, you scared I could win ?"

I don't think Luke really thought he could win or maybe he did, anyway he just wanted it to end. He wanted to project his sisters.

So, with Kai's personality inside of him, what would he be like ? I think that guy would at least find a way to end that Gemini tradition crap about the merge, and the lives of the whole coven linked to the leader.

Apart from that I don't know.

That would not be as fun as seeing Kai struggle with new emotions 🤣 but I want to see Luke being even more badass you know.

This is a very interesting question! Tho I have wondered what Jo would be like if she merged w Kai & won, I've never wondered about Luke until now... I think it could be a very compelling arc for him & the gemini coven. Here's what I think would happen! (I wrote a whole ass mini-fanfic in my answer lmfao):

Fresh after the merge: Luke would initially act & feel almost exactly like same old Luke, except maybe he'd rightfully be a bit more grim, traumatized and world-weary after defeating Kai. Liv & Jo would be concerned but he'd tell them not to worry bc he just needs some time to recover & leading the coven rn is more important than his mental health anyway (aka the FIRST Red Flag). Liv & Jo would disagree but let it go for now to avoid stressing him out.

First few months as leader: I think Luke's first order of business would be to undo the damage Joshua did as a terrible coven leader. That might mean overturning fucked up coven laws, etc. but Joshua doesn't like this, so he gets his supporters in the coven to back him & veto Luke's changes. Meanwhile, Luke's own coven support is growing bc I do believe he'd be a MUCH better leader than Joshua, so old man's resentment grows more. Eventually, it reaches a point where Luke feels boxed in like he can't make any real GOOD change bc of Joshua's puppets & THAT is when... the whispers of Kai's voice begin to awaken in Luke's mind. Uh-oh...

Conflict resolution 101: The part of Luke that's in control tries to be diplomatic about getting rid of Joshua's supporters but it just. doesn't. work. The assholes are FLUENT in gemini bureaucracy bc they've been around longer so they outmaneuver Luke constantly. That's when Kai begins suggesting some... less diplomatic solutions, including the idea that Joshua's supporters wouldn't be such a problem if JOSHUA was gone. Luke spends a long time rejecting this & literally warring with himself, so Liv & Jo are like "dude are u ok" and in a moment of weakness he admits his idea about taking joshua out. They're shocked, but after a sec, they're like "wait this is the same man who tried to off his own kids more than once. Uk what? yes lets do it." And suddenly all 3 (ahem, 4) Parker kids are plotting to put dad in a magical coma (hmm does that sound familiar? I wonder which sibling's idea this was...) so he can't influence his supporters anymore. And the siblings succeed! Joshua's out! but it becomes their lil secret, hidden from the coven...

A Good Ol' Frame Job: Lo and behold, Joshua's supporters still stay loyal to the man in a coma instead of Luke! Liv & Jo are like "it's fine luke, dad isn't gonna wake up so eventually they'll have no choice but to listen to you" but KAI isn't convinced... and neither is Luke. Diplomacy didn't work, sleeping beauty-ing joshua didn't work, so now he needs to play dirty. He doesn't jump to violence or anything - he simply frames a few of them for crimes they didn't commit. Snakey, but simple. Only problem is... Luke can't recall if this idea was his own, or Kai's...... bc they're both equally likely to have thought of it. Kai's influence is growing... So when Jo & Liv come to him like "wow crazy how those supporters got revealed as criminals right? That worked out conveniently," Luke goes w the safest option & says "haaa yea what a coincidence! no idea how that happened" ......and now he's lying to his sisters (Big Red Flag #2)

Calm before the storm: Now that joshua's remaining supporters (who haven't been framed) are very few, Luke doesn't face much resistance anymore & he actually succeeds at reforming a lot of fucked up gemini practices & making positive change. Maybe he even succeeds at eliminating the merge altogether! Luke's flying high, believing he's a true protector of the geminis & the best leader and savior (which, to be fair, he rly is better than the shitty leaders before him)! Kai's influence here is very sneaky bc some of Luke's old sense of humor comes back to him, with some new hints of cockiness that weren't there before. Luke's golden boy charm & Kai's cockiness creates the perfect politician cocktail & liv and jo appreciate the good he's done for geminis but also lowkey resent the big-headed self-important persona he's growing.

But THEN there's trouble in paradise: joshua's leftover supporters find a piece of evidence that proves Luke framed the others & they threaten Luke w it, deducing that he also had smthg to do w Joshua's coma. They order him to step down but he can't do that. Not now, when he's finally *this* close to changing the coven for good! These pricks will wake joshua & bring the old laws back! No, he can't let that happen, he can't let it- ....Luke snaps. He blacks out, then wakes up in horror to realize he violently killed. them. all. He panics, calling Jo & Liv for help BUT to cover his ass, he lies & says he had to kill them bc they found out about "all 3 of them" cursing Joshua... while choosing not to mention how they also discovered his frame jobs. Liv & Jo are horrified yet they help him cover this up bc he's falsely led them to believe their asses are also on the line for cursing joshua... but then Jo notices some of them were killed in very "Kai" ways (bled to death from their spleens getting cut out, etc.) & Liv finds the piece of evidence they had that links Luke to the frame jobs...... the 2 of them realize Luke is not in control anymore.

The Climax: Liv & Jo confront Luke, asking him to step down but warning him that they'll MAKE him if he doesn't agree. He doesn't agree. A fight ensues & Luke is pretty OP despite the 2 v. 1. Luke gets *this* close to killing them (while Kai cheers him on), but then says SIKE and kills JOSHUA's comatose body instead, shocking everyone. Jo, Liv AND Kai are like "wha- why?!" & Luke the politician diabolically reveals that he can't bring himself to kill them - but he can frame them for Joshua's death & turn the coven against them.... OR he can frame the dead supporters for Joshua's death & save his sisters, IF Liv & Jo stay loyal to his cause. At this ultimatum, Jo & Liv finally give up, saying they'd rather get framed or killed than let him rule the coven like this. The Kai in Luke gets triggered by their abandonment bc he's a gOoD LEADER can't u SEE?! Kai's increased presence & Luke's increased lack of control make his SIPHONING manifest for the first time & he unintentionally starts siphoning the sisters. And Luke gets triggered by them trying to overthrow him bc he's the OnLy one who can PROTECT the coven!! Just like he protected Jo & Liv from Kai!! At this point the sisters' resentment RLY comes out like "WE DIDNT ASK YOU TO!! YOU chose to merge to protect us WITHOUT ASKING what WE wanted!! U literally knocked out Jo when she was ABOUT to merge! You protected us bc that's what U wanted, not US. And now the coven doesn't need to be protected BY you anymore, it needs to be protected FROM you!!" Like a bucket of ice water, Luke realizes he's siphoning his sisters rn. He has become Kai. They're right. He is not in control anymore. He steps away & realizes the whole coven itself is broken. The best way to save it is to take the ruling family nonsense out of it & free everyone. He agrees to step down & Jo & Liv help him break the coven link altogether and they free the coven! For a moment, it seems like Kai is going to stop them, but then even the Kai in his mind realizes the coven fucked him over his whole life & he'd much rather see it gone. So all 4 kids unite in Sibling Solidarity and liberate the coven!

Epilogue: Luke gets therapy & that means Kai begrudgingly gets it too bc he's stuck in luke's head. They both start healing & finding a medium ground of how to share space in luke's head. Kai even uses Luke to apologize to Liv & Jo for his own crimes. I'd like to think he'd even get Luke to go to Bonnie and apologize on his behalf & maybe help her out whenever he can, tho i don't think it would be sexual, bc in canon the merge didn't change kai's sexuality so i doubt it would change luke's. But yea I think bonnie would still at least have a new ally in luke thanks to the Kai in him xD

favorite thing about them: LITERALLY WHERE DO I EVEN START. She's one of my top ten protagonists of all times. I love the lessons she learns, the way she learns them, I love watching her grow and struggle and thrive. I love her so so so much. To keep things simple(ish) I will say that my favorite thing about Luz (which I've mentioned once or twonce before) is that she's an objectively cringey, very ND coded kid who's still given the utmost love and respect from the narrative. She gets to be objectively fucking uncool and this story still loves her. And it's nice it makes me feel loved by proxy

least favorite thing about them: I mean, I'd say in season 1 it's the tendency to flatten the boiling isles and it's people into 2 dimensional tropes for easily comprehension, but that's also one of my favorite flaws of Luz and the narrative always makes an interesting point out of this attitude. Maybe it's the suicidal ideation bc it really scared me the first time I watched thanks to them. I knew nothing bad was gonna happen (within reason), this is Disney, but I was like DAMN THEY'RE GOING THERE!!!

It was a late late evening, on the last train of the night towards manchester, the British countryside plunged into darkness that appeared as a blank, black canvas out the rounded-rectangular windows. 

And although the serene surroundings were calming, the regular and rhythmic movement of the carriage on the tracks - you were more on edge. Your relationship with Tom had yet to be revealed to the world - though you’d travelled as part of his extended entourage before under the guise of a ‘family friend’. So now it just being you, Tom, Harry, Andrew and Rachel - you felt more exposed. Of course, you were incredibly grateful that Tom had planned this weekend away for the two of you (after a work commitment, hence the presence of his manger, makeup artist and Harry). But it was scary.

Coming out of Euston station, the earlier time meant the train had been more of a hive of activity. Kids running up and down the aisle, inevitably recognising Tom and then asking for a photo. Enough that you’d had to move a few seats down the carriage, so no one would associate you travelling with the a-lister. 

But after you’d past Birmingham and the clocks past eleven pm, everything had quietened down and Tom convinced you to come and sit next to him on the table of four.  Andrew and Rachel were taking use of their little duo seat across for you to catch up on some well needed beauty sleep. They’d all been working with Tom doing promo for his most recent movie in London so it’d been pretty 24/7.

That left you, with all the energy, contrasting greatly with the two flagging Holland boys. 

“Lets play heads up!” You announced to the much less enthusiastic faces round the tables. 

“You can’t play that quietly and the whole carriage dont want to listen to you screeching.” Harry rolled his eyes whilst slightly ripping into you, then picking up his phone - thinking that would shut you up.

“I can play quietly!” You huffed, looking for Tom for backing… which never came. He didn’t even need to try and defend himself before you whacked his chest in false-annoyance. 

“ It’s not a bad thing, just passion.” Tom murmured, desperately attempting to sweet talk your round - which of course, was not going to happen. 

“No way! I’ll prove it to you!” 

“Nonono darling, look I’m tired.” He straight refused, wrappings his arms round your shoulders to try and cage you in. He ended up with his back pressed against the window and your back against his chest. “Lemme just relax with my best girl.”  You huffed in reply, worming round in his clutch before eventually giving up and relaxing your head onto his collar bone. For the reasons previously mentioned, you did not for a second believe he was serious with this PDA. Just sitting next to each other was risky enough,  now he was very clearly hugging you in a public place. Arching your neck back, you were shocked he already had his eyes shut - looking perfectly contented and relaxed. 

“T, are you serious?” You whispered, making him crack one eye open with a questioning look. Instantly he knew what you meant, I mean, it was him that was most worried about people finding out about you - for your sake. His horror stories of previous relationships hadn’t helped, to the point now only your mum dad and siblings knew about your relationship to Tom - mainly for the sole reason your nan was the biggest gossip in the world and could NOT be trusted. 

“Course love, it’ll be fine no ones around and I got my cap on. No one will notice us.”

Foolproof. Or so you both thought. 

And honestly for an hour or so you relished in the fact that in a public space, your boyfriend was showing you physical affection. It was exciting, which meant as Tom’s arms grew lax round you as he slumped slightly in the chair your energy only increased. No one else was being any use either - Harry had his head in his arms on the table and similarly neither Rachel nor Andrew were conscious enough to keep you company. Finally you settled on playing a game on your phone whilst also ever so softly wiggling round on Tom’s chest, purely because you enjoyed the little huffs and the way he’d squeeze you tighter as he snoozed. 

You were engrossed in shitty little iPhone game when a person who was walking down the aisle slowed down, drawing your attention away from the phone. And then your heart literally dropped because you instantly recognised your uncle and cousin, who was 12. Worse though, they had most definitely clocked you. 

Of all people, your uncle and boy cousin too. Possible the best (or worst depending on your point of view) at winding you up, at messing  with you, for genuinely causing all chaos and mischief with you. They were most certainly not going to be discrete. They’d rib you till your dying day. 

“Y/n?” Your uncle spoke first, noticing the that the group you with all seemed to be asleep, so at least trying to be a bit sensitive. Not that it mattered on Tom’s part though, you instantly bolted up and away from him, making him groan as he slowly woke up. 

“Er yeh, I-um  fancy seeing you guys here. Why were you in London?” Because yes half your family did live in manchester - a fact you felt slightly guilty about, considering you couldn’t fit in a quick and explainable reason as to  why you were in that area of the UK during a ‘pop in’. So you’d chosen to keep the whole trip a secret too.

“We’ve been at the footie, could ask you the same question.” Your uncle smirked, noticing toward Tom, who now was blinking his eyes heavily - looking with furrowed brows between the two of you. 

Because yes, the cap had been great to stop people recognising Tom. Neither of you were to expect it’d be you that’d be YOU stopped by someone who noticed you. 

“Oh um… well er this is my friend Tom, he’s got a work thing in manchester so thought I’d tag along. What was the score?” Yes you described your boyfriend of 9 months as a friend, when it was clear to everyone you were more than that. Though frankly, you still felt sick introducing him as ‘boyfriend’ - that itself was cringe as hell. The reference to football was an in-vain attempt to distract them with the most-boring-sport-in-the-world talk. If only Tom had kept his mouth shut. 

“Sorry mate” His voice was a little hoarse, making him force a cough before stretching his hand out. “I’m Tom”

“Nice to meet you, I’m Ritchie and this is Matt” Your uncle motioned to his twelve year old son who was smiling politely but his expression seemed to drop as he made eye contact with Tom. Blissfully unaware, Tom shook Ritchies hand your a soft smile. 

“How do you guys-“

“I’m her uncle. Tell you what, didn’t imagine bumping into my niece on the 11:30 train to manchester.” 

Tom’s face fell and he froze. You’d both been caught out. Massively. It couldn’t get worse, till it did. 

“Y/n is that Spiderman?” Because yes, Matt was prime Marvel fanboy age. And yes, of course his favourite hero was Spiderman. And yes, this would probably be the most exciting day of his life. And the most embarrassing of yours. 

It was at this point Harry was sufficiently disturbed, enough to make him sit upright whilst also backing away into the corner of the booth, watching from afar.

“I-uh” You didnt really want to say it, for the sake of that meant he was revealing this secret you’d guarded with your life. But at the same time, you had this overwhelming sense of pride for Tom because “yeh, yes he is spiderman.” Matt started jumping up and down like an overexcited boyband fan which made you laugh, heart swelling as Tom chuckled along beside you.

Yes by no means was this ideal. And yes you were now forced to tell your family (so ultimately the world) about your relationship. Maybe that wasn’t so bad though?

Ok so, Dream and George. Who are these people? Like I know that I ship them and that Dream has fluffy hair and probably a face, but what are all the letters? Do I need to like Minecraft to enjoy watching them or is it kinda like with Danandphilgames where the personalities are gonna draw me in? Please help. Dream and George are minecraft YouTubers, but they are oh so much more. I don't necessarily think you need to like Minecraft but it may help to have a base knowledge of how it works to get some of the jokes/banter?

Definitely is about their personalities though! I've been into mc for about 10 years and watching them for a while but didn't start shipping these guys until last year when my brain did that "heres a new special interest for you good luck thinking about anything else for the next few years". Then around October I pulled my two friends in with me, one of which had absolutely no minecraft knowledge or interest, and now they both love it. But it was the personalities and the story that pulled them in.

Mainly (because I think it's the part that sounds most extra) the fact that Geoege lives in the UK and Dream is in Florida and they've known each other since way before YouTube and now George is trying to move permanently to the US despite never seeing Dream's face (or so they say, I actually suspect he probably has at this point)

BUT it gets crazier. Because Dream does have a face, but none of us have seen it. The only person than has is his roommate Sapnap and a few friends because HE REFUSES TO FACE REVEAL UNTIL HES MET GEORGE. which means he's not met any of their other friends despite some living right in his state, because he has to meet George first. Sapnap has met everyone, but Dream has just been locked in his house for years because on top of a pandemic it's also meant George's visa is taking SO LONG. The man has literally put his life on hold until George is there.

We are waiting and truthing and it's like Moving Hill x100 over here every time, something suspicious happens. Which is like every day because they are little shits.

Dnf - dreamnotfound (the ship name) a combination of the usernames Dream and Georgenotfound

Dteam - Dream team - basically Dream, George and Sapnap who are all best friends and create content together. Dream descrvied them as puzzle piecey because they fit each others livesin a soulmatey way. Sapnap lives with Dream rn and George is moving so they can have the dteam house. (They already bought it together were just waiting on George's visa)

Smp/dsmp - an smp is a survival multilayer server. Basically a minecraft world multiple people play on together online. The dsmp is the Dream SMP which is the survival world Dream and George started which blew up and now has lots of members and intense fictional storylines (referred to as Lore) not every stream that takes place on that server is Lore, but some are.

Describing all the Lore would be too much here, I think EvanMCGaming's videos on YouTube are a good summary/place to start for some of the big bits, but it doesn't cover everything if you want to get a really deep dive knowledge. BlueberryTV also has a playlist that is good, but LONG

I'm putting this one first because I've wanted to talk about it for a while, and yeah it should probably be a post of it's own but here we go;

35. Ramble about any fic-related thing you want!

I think there's a real art to being able to write X Reader fics, and I think the more you write, the more nuance you develop in order to weave a story around the reader's characteristics to make it inclusive while also personal. i think there's a conversation to be had about inclusivity in the YouTube x Reader community, and while the heavy prevalence of NB!Reader fics is amazing, we still have to look at what other biases we're inserting into our works. descriptions of, or moments regarding, the reader's skin tone, size, hair, clothing choices, family, etc, should be considered carefully if you're looking to make this as accessible as possible for the wide variety of readers. i appreciate people who specify if they're writing a particular type of reader (chubby!reader, or short-haired!reader, etc) because it sets a precedent for the fic, but if you go in without that caveat and suddenly the reader is being described as tanned or with long wavy hair or something, that breaks the immersion and alienates the readers who don't fit this narrow description. uh, also this is just a small thing, but when writing NB!Readers, don't forget about AMAB nb folks existing and being taken into consideration in your writing.

like i said, there's an art to being able to write around describing the reader, while still making the story feel personal. we just have to think about if what we're writing would make sense if we were not ourselves, if that makes sense???

also just personally i'd like to see more diversity in the people chosen for the representations of the read in IG/SMAU posts.

I actually don't have one definitive answer for this because I've been writing for a very long time so I have a few favourites for different reasons.

I feel very very lucky and very blessed to receive such lovely and kind comments on the fics that I write, but I've got two that stand out the most in my mind, and it's the comments @bingusmode and @marvelsmurphy left on the aforementioned once you say it out loud it can't be undone {Corpse Husband},,,, literally i would die for both of them. i reread the comments on that fic every so often because everyone is so damn lovely, but i just grin like an idiot and turn into that picture of kermit hugging his phone whenever i read their comments specifically. i love you guys

Some of them might be "problematic"? it's in quotes because i don't agree with it. it's not going to be problematic in plain ignorant sense like racial issues or blatant sexism or mental abuse.... but they might have like stuff which people dont always agree with like drugs. most of them would have nsfw it's just something that i need to have for feels and that's why i asked if u minded it. some things are like more subjective,, characterizations for example, cause like some people dont think keith is a skirt guy cause he isnt in fashion but i think he is petty and rebellious so he will defo do that? some of them would have like physical fights and stuff.. or keith and lance being mean to each other.. some ugly habits which aren't necessarily condemned like anger or drugs.? but with how i see it, it's not glorified, so i see them as human. i love the raw and ugly in these or idk its just human to me (but some people dont like which is completely valid cause we are all different from different environments and think different and resonate with different stuff.)

Martial Status: He was very happily married to his wife Joanne and they also had a daughter but very sadly they both were murdered in a house fire which he’s now investigating. If so what is it?  He’s a Detective Inspector, and he’s always been a workaholic and claims he loves his job, but recently it’s all caught up with him how much pain and illness this job had caused him over the years and he’s devastated it’s lead to his family being killed and having to work on their case and his friend’s case after his friend was shot in front of him 2 years prior to his families’ deaths. Working too much and stress has also caused him to suffer more than 1 heart attack and he really isn’t too well anymore.

Where does your sim live? A rural midlands village/town in the UK.

Who does your sim live with? Used to live with his wife (daughter moved out to go to work but visited often) but now he’s living with Abby Sullivan, a detective who’s helping him out and working on the case too. 

What environment did your sims grow up in? It was loving but became quite tense when his bother Robbie started becoming jealous and aggressive towards him. 

What are your sim’s favorite food? He hates everything these days, but normally he loves any kind of pasta dish.

What is your sim’s favorite drink? Water (I know haha) because he barely drinks anything and he usually has water when he gulps his pills down, he also should lay off caffeine because of his heart condition

If they have one what is your sim’s favorite color? Green, black, grey and brown

Is your sim introverted or extroverted? He’s most likely introverted and likes to keep himself to himself but he’ll shout happily (or angrily rather) at any criminal who’s being difficult.

What is your sims favorite woohoo position? I’m not actually sure haha, I’ll have to ask him!

Is your sim a pet person? He loves dogs and cats, he doesn’t own one at the moment, but is thinking about it to help with his grief and loss. 

Does your sim have a best friend? He used to be best friends with his colleague Reg who was sadly shot in front of him on duty 2 years ago which he still has flashbacks from. Of course he was best friends with his beloved wife Joanne and loved his daughter very much. Now he’s become friends with Abby who has helped him a lot and also has remained good friends with a colleague Matt who visits him often. 

What is/was your sim’s favorite school subject? He enjoyed English literature and some science, particularly when he became interested in joining the police as the forensic side of science started to become relevant to the work he was drawn to. He also had interests in criminology but didn’t do a full degree, he joined the police and worked himself up.

Are they planning to go or have they already been to college? He went to college to study courses he was interested in but didn’t go to university, he joined the police, as mentioned above.

What are your sims political beliefs? John literally despises every politician to have ever walked the land and hates the government haha! He has no party so to speak. How do you know a politician is lying? Their lips are moving. That’s John’s outlook and actually kind of mine since I’ve gone into a depression recently haha! He just doesn’t trust any of them and thinks they’re all out of touch. He knows what real pain feels like, he’s been through hell and back, those guys don’t understand a thing!

Does your sim have a favorite TV show: Doesn’t have one, he hates everything!

Does your sim like books? He did like books but really hasn’t had the time to pick one up in ages, the only thing he’s been reading are crime files full of distressing images and details about real deaths not fictional ones. And any kind of novel would be way too heavy going for him right now!

What is your sim’s personal style? He wears a suit for his job as a DI but usually just wears cute green jumpers (I think they look cute on him haha) and shirts, which are usually green or brown, grey or black. 

Is your sim religious? He hasn’t thought about God in ages but is drawn to go into a church after he’s been told he needs a major operation on his heart and has lost hope with everything. However, he wonders why he even bothered going in because he feels like this God guy has just given him all this suffering so loses hope again. But he does slowly gain more of a connection with the church nearby, especially after his families’ funerals but overall he’s not really religious. He questions it and doesn’t really know if he believes in it. 

What kind of music does your sim listen to? As he hates everything he hasn’t had time to listen to anything but he quite likes classical music and rock music. He has fond memories of listening to music with his wife when they met and further on into their lives together. He’d probably well up and cry if he listened to music he used to love again for this reason ;(

What is your sim’s favorite type of weather? He doesn’t really care, he’ll take whatever comes his way!

Does your sim have a dream job? Not really, he used to think being a detective was his dream but it’s caused him to witness awful things and has now taken his family away. He’s had to bury it all over the years the pain it’s really caused him. After his operation, he tries to look for something he can do to keep him busy but not dangerously busy like before!

Does your sim have any siblings? Yes, an older brother who’s a massive twat and a younger sister who’s nice luckily.

Does your sim get along with their family? He obviously loved his wife and daughter very much, but despises his brother with a passion as it was his brother Robbie who had criminals burn the house down his family perished in. He cannot believe his own brother would do this and the shock of the news brings on a massive heart attack which really does nearly kill him. He gets on well with his nephew, Nathan (Robbie’s son) and essentially raised him as well when Robbie was controlling Nathan’s mother and treating him like shit (this makes Robbie very jealous and wanting revenge, hence the murder).

What is your sims favorite hobby? Walking, he finds peace when he goes out for a walk in the woods or somewhere peaceful even if he’s despairing. He likes to clear his head, although it has been a mistake him going out alone after he suffered a heart attack alone in the woods after his families’ funeral.

What does your sim look for in a romantic partner? He refuses to ever look for anyone else again. It was Joanne and always will be Joanne, she was the love of his life. 

What is a flaw your sim has? He’s a bit too much of a workaholic and buries his head in the sand about the fact working so vigorously is making his condition worse, despite everyone around him telling him so. He constantly misses counselling appointments and heart checkups out of fear his health has declined further which he knows it is doing. He struggles to face up to these things and works even harder as a result to bury that fear away. It’s a downward spiral that’s just making him worse. He also gets incredibly angry at others very easily, but it’s understandable given what’s happened in his life lately. 

Does your sim have a greatest achievement? If so what is it?  For John, probably surviving in the first place! He’s survived so much, he survived his heart condition, he’s survived dangerous situations in his job and has survived all this grief and misery (that’s not to say it won’t ever go away) but he has somehow been managing to carry on and I’m proud of him haha! He needs a massive hug rn.

If they have one, what is your sim’s greatest regret? Being unable to save his wife and daughter from the house fire and this is something that haunts him daily, nightly and for the rest of his life.

super anxious about turning 18 tomorrow because i don't wanna stop being 17 i hate feeling like I've wasted my 17th year because I've done nothing pop culture tells you you should do by the time you're 17 ❤️ so i could really use some advice or just kindness in my inbox rn because none of my friends are online and I'm freaking out

it's also ironically hilarious because throughout my entire adolescence I've felt too young to do certain things, like I wasn't supposed to do them until I was 18+, but i KNEW that once i turned 18 I'd look back on my teen years and say "wow, you haven't done anything cool in your teen years???? you're 18 and you haven't had all these experiences?????????" which is why i HATE this. i hate that i knew exactly how I'd feel once i turned 18 and it's how I'm feeling now sjdjsj

i also hate that i kinda HAVE had the typical pop culture experiences, or some of them at least, but i don't feel like i have???? like. I've been in a situation last year where I was clearly August and this guy was James. I've also been Betty later too. I've technically related to quite a few TS songs. But do i feel like I have, like I can tick off those experiences from my list and feel that I've had THEE teen experience???? NO and it's probably because i was depressed the entire time during those happenstances so I didn't feel them the way music feels, so I didn't register them in my head as having lived them.

also I'm aware of the huge cultural age gap between Argentina and USA/UK ??????? like, 16 year olds can drive cars but here it's only legal when you're 18+ and you probably won't do it until at least 20??? I might just get my drivers license as soon as i turn 18 to see if I can catch up more teen moments before i turn 20 and officially lose the -teen suffix jsjfjd. ALSO I'm aware that with college most 17 year olds ARE practically adults because they have to move out of their home/STATE and live on their own and be independent blablabla so yes of course they feel older and have older experiences, because here your life pretty much stays the same til your early 20s if your parents support you financially (which mine do)

Even in my state, which is doing worlds better than other states, we have a testing bottleneck and also concern about supplies. People who are sick are having to wait. Healthcare pros and teachers and essential workers are having trouble me getting tested. I know I shouldn’t get so upset about him but it’s just really disappointing.

A friend of mine was forced back to work with the public and now she and her family are awaiting their results. I was heartbroken to hear about Nick Cordero yesterday. This pandemic isn’t over. I’m disappointed to see him blatantly flout the rules. I feel for the driver and hotel staff.
