WEST END
NOW THIS IS A STORY OF THE.
AND YOU HATE HER
AND YOU ARE HER
'RAMADAN'
INFLUENCERS
END TIMES
STRUGGLING WOMEN
NOW ITS ME. I'M FUCKING DYING AND I CANT COMPLAIN ANY LONGER TIL I KNOW WHO ACTUALLY DIED.
THIS IS AN INTUITIVE COURSE TO KNOW THE LEADER, BEAT THEM AS YOUR BEST FRIEND.
WHAT SELENA GOMEZ DID IS PRETTY FUCKING DANGEROUS,
LIKE KEANU REEVES DID IN THE 90'S
SHE 'CLAIMS' TO HAVE SOME KIND OF 'BELIEF' BUT IT WAS NON-EXISTENT AND SHE'S ROTTEN AF
THIS IS LITERALLY EFFECTING MENTAL-HELL IN 15YO IN THE UK (CONSUMER PARADISE) AND SHE FUCKING WENT THERE.
1984 - GEORGE ORWELL IS HER MOST FAMOUS SONG 'WHO SAYS'
LET ME ANNOTATE IT CROSS-BREEDING WITH RR'S THEORY ON THOUGHT COMPLETION OF THE UNITED KINGDOM
BEFORE I BEGIN:
Naturally - Selena Gomez *why are you fucking lying*
Justin Bieber is a theory, he ain't alive *you're dead to me*
lesbians are scary as hell *you're not my Dad*
SMWC: *studio development* - you're forgetting the way of the world in how numbers work, so 'it' consumes her personality (world wonder of the most richest living people in the world to work for her)
Schizophrenia Narc: *the jaded buddha* - she hates how the song itself made people 'look up to her' but she does not want it anymore, but hates competition (mimicry is sexuality)
Schizophrenia Hollywood: *good guy syndrome* - she makes Lee Pace want to forgive himself by terrifying the latter of the book in the world of HSJ (actually the main character)
Schizophrenia PTSD: *stfu an do it* - she does not want to do it but still 'it's her fault' so disrespect your teachers harder by copper of influence (wealth-wise by reality check)
Schizophrenia Heartbroken: *no work done* - she knows too much about you
Schizophrenia Gubler: *forgotten completely* - she wants Demi's avatar to die as soon as the Enchiridion is open to 'explore sexually' (nazar)
Schizophrenia Dead Dad: *new eden, no more* - she will do anything she can do to survive by absolutely abolishing the arts of her past (her rage is exclusively used in Doctor Who lore)
Schizophrenia Tokyo: *nightguide, don't lie anymore* - Taylor Swift is not her friend anymore (she found peace elsewhere in Mindhunter: Glee as an executive producer)
Schizophrenia Sam Smith: *uno rules go nowhere* - everything you do is a Selena Gomez, no thoughts in between (her actual albums) she made herself 'Allah' in that racist attempt to kill 'the Queen of 9GAG'
Schizophrenia TikTok: *algorithm forgotten*- she made you now break her (intrusive thoughts)
Schizophrenia Unbroken: *stop looking at me infinity* - she is swearing at the cast of Glee officially to make it her life (in spanish/english to defame HSJ and RR as 'a couple') like Nazar premium
Schizophrenia Regina George: *stfu an lie to me* - she is lying to herself rn 'to get the truth'
Schizophrenia Lancelot: *Jeff Buckley's life* - Jeff Buckley is the guy she wanted to talk to originally to shoot down KR an get around to Harper safely (she a fckin idiot for 'talking to KR' in the first place by practicing marital separation intuition by poisoning nightguide's life by intuition poison)
Schizophrenia Shahda: *R u stupid?* - she does not care about the world of 'intuition' anymore, she smelled shit for the first time (actually the spanish in her betraying HSJ irl for 'views' (Arties experience)
outro: thank you too much <3 <3 <3

continued from your reply. @heartxshaped-bruises
Harper followed her fingers, taking in her surroundings once her head finally stopped spinning. The place was pretty amazing, if Harper allowed herself to see beyond her anger at that moment. Alexandra stood before her, yet the lights made it so that Harper couldn't see much of her face. “I’m guessing that buddy of yours is a vampire as well?’’ She inquired, her eyes on Kresimir. “Fuck…I’m feeling really dizzy and these lights are making me think I’m going to puke. So the back office sounds awesome right about now.’’ Harper groaned. She shielded her eyes, waiting for Alexandra to speak.

A personal Elvis touch to some of his characters's wardrobe.
Recently me and @jhoneybees were drooling over Elvis in Girls! Girls! Girls! (1962) and Fun In Acapulco (1963). I couldn't stop thinking about the backwards rolled up cuffs shirts that his characters wear in some scenes in both films because they look so good in him! Then I realized that Elvis used to wear his shirts just like this occasionally in the 1950s, before his Hollywood career had begun.
(2-3) Elvis on May 21, 1955 backstage at the Louisiana Hayride at the Municipal Auditorium in Shreveport, Louisiana. (4-6) January 25, 1955. Elvis Presley. Tyler, TX. backstage Mayfair building.
(7) Elvis in Graceland in 1960. Here Elvis' acting career was already happening but he hadn't used the rolled-backwards sleeve cuffs shirts in the movies just yet (at least that I remember of), but that's gonna change in a couple of years.
(8-10) Elvis as Ross Carpenter in Girls! Girls! Girls! (1962).
(11-13) Elvis as Mike Windgren in Fun In Acapulco (1963).
Looking at those pictures I can imagine that Elvis himself did some styling to his character's wardrobe occasionally, very seldom I think. However it doesn't stop at the early 60s films… I noticed that again in Charro! (1969).
(14-15) The King as Jess Wade, with his one of his signature looks, the high collars (the jacket just appears for a brief moment in the film but when I saw it I was like 'Oh, Elvis... anyone could recognize you just by looking at your back from miles away...'
It's not like we need any pictures to proof high-collars were his thing but it won't cause any harm too, so...
Cool, isn't it? But, wait a minute, there's more! The next one was prior to Charro!
Right now, I can't say that Elvis in fact had any say-so concerning his characters costumes but that's my assumption based on a little studying on his history and by watching his movies but another thing gave me the idea he could do something about his costumes for the films.
Sandi Miller (fan/gate girl) shared on her Facebook account that she and another fan gave Elvis a jacket in 1966 while Double Trouble (MGM, 1967) was in production. Principal filming for Elvis's twenty-fourth movie began on July 11, 1966 and was finished by August 30, 1966. After the movie was released, visiting the fans as usual, Elvis told Sandi to watch a specific scene in the film and there it was! He was wearing the jacket she gave him.
August 3rd, 1966. Elvis off to the studio to film 'Double Trouble'. Candids by fan Sandi Miller.
On the pictures above, Sandi (on her Facebook account) said: "Elvis on his way to the studio to film 'Double Trouble.' On his lap is a jacket we gave him purchased from St. James mens shop in Fullerton." Fan Kathryn Harper Sherrill then asked Sandi: "And didn't he tell you to watch closely part of that film & your jacket was used in a scene of the film when he was packing or unpacking?" For what Sandi replied: "Yes, he did!"
On that post Sandi doesn't specify which jacket it was, unfortunately, but I followed the hint and looked for a scene Elvis' character was packing in the film. The jacket Sandi Miller gave EP is most likely this one below. He's wearing it while he sings 'City By Night' and also 'Old MacDonald' in that portion of the film.
Wasn't it thoughtful of him to wear a jacket gifted to him by a fan in one of his films?
youtube
youtube
This is Elvis in 1966, returning or leaving his Hillcrest home in California, during the Double Trouble movie production period. The jacket looks like the same he wore in the film for those scenes I mentioned previously.
Conclusion: I guess it's safe to say that Elvis sometimes would style his costumes a little bit, putting something more of himself into his characters beyond the unmistakable charm, humor and talent. i don't know if that's a good thing to do because most actors' goals is to have a character that requires them to transform their image and behaviors to a point the characters don't resemble their off-screen personas in the slightest but, knowing how Elvis' movies were so… unusual… specially made to please Elvis' audience as they were (always craving for more) and how that caused the screenplays not to have real efforts put into that would give EP the need to really become someone else for his movies, it's not exactly wrong of him to incorporate his own persona (to a given extent) into the characters he played. All in all, I guess that makes his acting career even more unique. Elvis was not an ordinary artist after all. At times being that spectacular human being backfired, and Elvis just… went with the flow.
Those are just a few moments I noticed when Elvis' fashion style was lent to his on-screen characters. Have you noticed any other moments in the movies where this happens?

"Yeah lets see..." Harper spoke, motioning to both of them. "We have exactly zero qualifications, how the hell do you suggest we get jobs?" Harper inquired. Her worries were justified, at least in her mind. If there was anything that her parents had taught her, it was that quality is gold. People liked to know that you were useful. "Besides, what kind of jobs do you think they got here anyways?" Harper asked, finally taking to looking around the boardwalk. It was beautiful and it sure as hell beat their own place back home. Harper just hoped that it would be better here, for the both of them. "Darc...you really think it's wise if we stay here?''
"Yeah, no kidding." Darcy stated. She had about five hundred dollars on her, not counting the money Harper had from her savings. Darcy grabbed her sister's hand and dragged her to the boardwalk. As the two moved along, Darcy noticed people watching them as they passed by. The sisters must've been standing out. She tried to ignore it. "We could try and get jobs. Seems like a pretty packed place, means good money might come our way."

In Cincinnati, Everybody Who Was Anybody Got The Scoop At Grandpa Hawley’s
The year before he assassinated President Abraham Lincoln, the actor John Wilkes Booth was in Cincinnati, performing at Wood’s Theater in Shakespeare’s “Merchant of Venice” and “The Taming of the Shrew.” Throughout the run, Booth was a frequent visitor to Grandpa Hawley’s newsstand, just two blocks south at Vine and Fourth. Years later, Hawley told the Cincinnati Post about Booth’s visits [28 April 1903]:
“He was in my store while here and I remember a conversation with him. I do not remember what we talked about in particular, but there was nothing to indicate that he had the least thought of perpetrating the dark crime with which his name is stained.”
By coincidence, James R. “Grandpa” Hawley also had a connection to Lincoln. Hawley first opened his business on Tuesday, 12 February 1861, and watched from the shop door as President-Elect Lincoln, on his way to Washington, was paraded down Vine Street to the Burnet House. Throughout the Civil War, Grandpa Hawley was the place to go for news of the conflict. Hawley told the Times-Star [10 January 1891]:
“That was in the war time, you know, and then the illustrated periodicals monopolized the sale, for in them were pictures of the generals and battles and the printed material dealt with the doings of the army.”
In fact, Hawley’s patrons often included those very generals themselves, picking up the latest weekly to read what was being said about the war. Generals Ulysses Grant and William Tecumseh Sherman famously mapped out the strategy to ensure a Confederate defeat in Parlor A of the Burnet House and gathered a lot of their information from Grandpa Hawley’s newsstand. He told the Post:
“I do not believe I ever saw them in uniform. Grant was not very talkative, but Sherman frequently started a conversation.”
Another regular military visitor to Hawley’s was Philip Henry Sheridan, whose triumph at the Battle of Cedar Creek was memorialized in Thomas Buchanan Read’s poem, “Sheridan’s Ride.” That poem was required reading for generations of American school children and the author, a Cincinnati resident, was also a frequent customer of Grandpa Hawley’s. It is not recorded whether poet and subject ever met at the Vine Street newsstand, but they might well have.
Vice President Andrew Johnson spent so much time at Hawley’s that the news vendor took to calling him “Andy.”
In addition to generals, politicians and poets, Grandpa Hawley’s shop was also a gathering place for the actors who trod the boards at Cincinnati’s theaters throughout the Nineteenth Century. Edwin Forrest was among the first Americans to gain distinction as a Shakespearian star. He frequently performed in Cincinnati and always stopped by to see Hawley, who recalled:
“In my mind I can see him now with his tragedy stride and hear his deep rumbling voice.”
In almost every interview he gave, Hawley mentioned Adelaide Neilson, whose fame as an actress almost equaled her fame as a great beauty.
“Neilson, the actress, has been here many times, and always used to pat the little newsboys on the head and give them an encouraging word.”
Hawley himself was something of a Cincinnati celebrity, mostly because of his enormous beard, which ran from his chin almost to his belt buckle. Most of the Cincinnati papers remarked about the “biblical” dimensions of his whiskers, rivaled only by those of Vine Street saloonist Andy Gilligan.
Many folks stopped by just to chat with Hawley, who was an especially entertaining raconteur, but most came for the news. In those pre-electric days, when “the media” meant print publications, Grandpa Hawley moved a lot of paper. He told the Times-Star that New York daily newspapers sold the most in his shop, followed by dailies from Chicago, St. Louis and Louisville. Among the weeklies, Harper’s and Leslie’s ran neck-and-neck, followed by the London Illustrated News. Some readers were quite dedicated to their favorite publication:
“One lady used to walk down from Walnut Hills every week to get the New York Ledger, because it would not be delivered to her until the morning following its arrival here. One day a Walnut Hills man who was a regular customer of mine asked me if I knew why he always took two copies of the New York Ledger. I told him I supposed he got one for a neighbor, but he said it was because he had two daughters and they were always squabbling about which should read it first, until, to keep peace in the family, he decided to give both a chance.”
Those were the days when multiple magazines appealed to every specialized interest. Hawley sold dozens of sports magazines, humor magazines, fashion magazines, science magazines and literary journals of contemporary thought like Atlantic Monthly and the North American Review – both of which are still published today. He carried most of the major periodicals published in German and French.
After 40 years in business, Grandpa Hawley found himself evicted from his landmark shop to make way for the construction of the Ingalls Building, the first reinforced concrete skyscraper in the world. Railroad magnate Melville E. Ingalls spent so much effort convincing city officials to allow him to build his revolutionary building that he gave little thought to the businesses he displaced.
Grandpa Hawley ended up relocating to the nearby Emery Arcade on the other side of Vine, but years of generosity caught up with him and bankruptcy was a real possibility. According to the Post:
“Everybody’s word goes with ‘Grandpa’ Hawley and were his customers so disposed they could carry away in overcoat pockets or under their arms several times as much as they paid for.”
At this dark moment, Hawley’s theatrical friends, accumulated over the decades, sprang into action and staged a benefit extravaganza for him at the Grand Opera House on 1 May 1903, raising more than $650 and saving the old man’s finances. It was a short-lived victory. Not quite a year later, Grandpa Hawley was dead. As he was laid to rest in Covington’s Linden Grove Cemetery, the Post [20 February 1904] eulogized:
“’Grandpa’ Hawley did not have an enemy in the world. For a lifetime he jogged along in an even, quiet way. He was honest and fair. He was never too busy to clasp hands warmly and talk entertainingly. He possessed a smile that was born of the natural kindness in his soul.”

the almost kiss
<;3 you're unsure about things, always hesitating. why is that? maybe there's something to lose for you, but maybe (just maybe) the risk is worth it. you're the moment when the main characters lean in, lips parted and almost touching. but it's not the actual kiss everyone loves, it's the anticipation. when they look into each other's eyes before their lids flutter close. and there's a lot of frustration when things are interrupted. trust me though, you're a lot more memorable than the actual kiss. you're nervous, but at the end of the day all you want is to be loved. <3
Billie Scout
/oh./
<3 the italicized oh. often seen in romance novels and fanfics. when a character looks at someone, wondering why their chest tightens when they're near, why their heart beats quicken at the slightest touches, why they lose their breathe at the sight of them and suddenly realization dawns on them— oh. they've been in love for a long time now. you are soft and quiet, probably the most overlooked. though when you love, you fall deeply. i'm sure you have a lot of anxieties when it comes to love, and you're more inclined to fall in love with a longtime friend than a stranger. though, your love is pure. and maybe if you have someone in mind, this is your sign to tell them.<3

Violence was politics as usual [in South Carolina] in 1860, the fire-eaters' electoral strategy a paramilitary one. Vigilant committees, like the one John Townsend addressed in Edisto, were organized at public meetings called by the local elite. The initial justification was the alarm raised by Brown's raid on Harper's Ferry. But by the spring of 1860, vigilant committees and Minute Men associations could be found in every parish and district in the state. Founded ostensibly to "guard and protect the safety of our homes," they elected committees of vigilantes to police the community, punishing not just slaves and strangers but, as one association's bylaws put it, "persons not strangers or now residents." Like the other groups of men empowered to accuse, harass, brutally beat, whip, shave, tar and feather, run out of town on a rail, and lynch, these forces contributed greatly to the state of imminent danger they were ostensibly formed to allay. Vigilantes in their very existence dramatized the dangers of invasion about which poor white and yeoman voters had been warned. "I am for trusting no one here on earth but ourselves," "Vigilance" proclaimed in the Charleston Mercury in November 1859. So fearsome were the committees throughout the countryside that some elites (including those who initiated them) tried to shut them down, fearing that too much control had gone to the lesser sorts. "We are under a reign of terror and the public mind exists in a panic," the planter William Campbell Preston admitted. Not for nothing did the leading abolitionist publisher William Lloyd Garrison write about "The New Reign of Terror in the Slaveholding States.""
But the political utility of the vigilant committees was indisputable precisely because of their success in drawing the state's yeoman farmers and poor whites into participation in the fire-eaters' campaign. When the "citizens" of St. Peter's Parish in the rural low country near Beaufort responded to the call for a meeting at a country store in January 1860 to form a committee, two local leaders, a minister and a militia captain, gave the speeches, but more than half of the "gentlemen" elected to the committee were yeoman farmers. And when they rode out to discipline their unreliable or heterodox neighbors, it was yeoman farmers who led.
Using the traditional form of the militia beat company, fire-eaters managed to build a massive political network. The Minute Men companies represented, if anything, a more overt bid for the nonslaveholders' vote than vigilant associations. They formed, tellingly enough, on October 3, the very eve of legislative elections in the state. Their political purpose was acknowledged in the original Constitution drawn up in Columbia by Robert Barnwell Rhett and James Hopkins Adams. In it, every district in the state was called on to prepare for immediate resistance to the election of a Black Republican president by forming volunteer infantry and cavalry companies. A blue cockade would signify membership; activities would include drilling and parading day and night. In the critical last few months of 1860, companies of Minute Men shadowed political events large and small. When the newly elected state legislature met in Charleston in November to decide whether to call a secession convention, armed companies of Minute Men drilled outside the hall, issuing threatening resolutions and demanding decisive action when legislators hesitated. They also exerted a muscular presence at public meetings in the countryside to nominate delegates to the state convention in December, insisting, as in Charleston, that they would vote only for those who favored immediate separate state secession. Their armed presence made it pretty clear that secession and consent were a lot less hazardous to the health than opposition and Unionism of any sort in the fall of 1860.
Popular mobilization was clearly not the only purpose of the various paramilitary political associations. Indeed, the paramilitary organizations worked in two ways simultaneously: as outreach, mobilizing yeoman and poor white voters to make the fire-eaters' cause their own; and as suppression, threatening physical violence and exile to those still disposed to dissent. The newspapers were filled with accounts of the committees' bloody discipline of white men, although charges of voter intimidation surfaced only later, when it was safe to report. Four or five years before the secession elections, "men could speak their sentiments ... freely and fought about it," one low-country resident recalled after the war. But by 1860 a man "with a public reputation for unionism ... would not have been allowed to live here." "We had to be very quiet," Joseph Brandt, one of those Unionists, would recall. "We were too few in numbers and the secessionists were too overbearing." Slaves knew the few Union men in their area who could be trusted, but the white men and women oftentimes did not know one another. So frightening was the surveillance that men claimed they were afraid not to vote: the "feeling ran so high," one Beaufort farmer remembered, that he "could not abstain from voting." Because there was no Union ticket, he put a blank vote in the box. Lawrence McKenzie left his neighborhood on election day "to keep from voting," he said, "and from being annoyed by those who would vote for it and would be after [me] to do the same." "Well, Lawrence," his neighbors said when he returned, "we have today voted South Carolina out of the Union and you did not help us."
