Tumblr media
When you left to America, Bakugou was furious, after all you all have been through, he thought this will unite the group, will unite the both of you.
He was pacing in his room, looking at the floor as he thought of ways to make you stay, damn, he even thought in confessing his feelings for you, thinking it might change something, his last hope.
After what felt like an eternity, he decided to walk towards the common area where he knew he'll find you and ask for a minute of your time. Only to be met with sad expressions and you… nowhere to be seen.
“Sorry man, they already left” said Kirishima and he felt like all of the air of his lungs where punched out. “I saw them standing outside your room for I while, I thought you two talked” Kirishima adds, which only makes Bakugou feel worst.
Eleven years has passed, Bakugou had achieved everything he wished when he was a teenager, He was the number one hero, had a nice relationship with his coworkers, friends and was not insecure anymore and of course… had a beautiful fiancé, patient, funny and smart.
The thought of you leaving still lingered, but he always made sure to push it away, telling himself it was a stupid teenage crush and that he was over it.
“Bakugou!” Kirishima's voice “you're coming tonight, are you?” He asks, looking excited
“Huh? What are you talking about?” The blond asks
“The UA reunion party at Kaminari's! Midoriya will be there, and I heard (y/n) was going” Kirishima says and Bakugou just freezes “you're coming then?”
“Y-yeah- yeah” Katsuki answers, still not processing the whole information correctly, but he nods anyways.
“Great! Do you think you can pick me up?” Kiri asks, trying to keep the conversation going, but Bakugou only nods, lost in thought.
Later that day, Bakugou pulls out in front of Kaminari's house, swallowing hard as he gets out of the car
“Oh man, I'm so excited to see everyone, I've heard (y/n) has a great career in America, and they’re one of the top heroes there, we have so much to catch up on” Bakugou grunts as he hears your name, looking away and mentally preparing himself as he walks inside Denki's place.
He looks around, searching for you but he doesn't see you, making him feel more relaxed, thinking you haven't arrived yet, leaving him time to compose and prepare for your arrival.
Bakugou engaged in a few conversations, with Sero, Mina, Midoriya and anyone he can encounter, trying to take off his mind off… you- there you were, speaking with Iida in a corner, you looked… marvelous, and for a second, the blonde forgot he was engaged.
“Did you hear that?” Denki asks to a Bakugou who was completely lost in you, he shakes his head, slowly starting to walk in your direction, like something was pulling him towards you.
When he sees you looking at him, he let's out a small gasp, reminding himself to act normal as you finish your conversation with Iida to walk towards him.
“Hi!” You say, with that sweet voice, bringing thousands of memories back.
“Hey” Bakugou says back, trying to act normal, calm.
“I heard lots of you lately, congrats on being the number one, you always wanted that” he hears you talk, you sound… happy
“Heh, thanks, it was obvious tho, I am the best” he smiles at your giggle for his comment “h-how have you been?” And like that, two old friends feel like sixteen again, chatting and laughing together.
“You know, I still remember that day” Bakugou hears you say, you were both outside in Denki's backyard, stargazing as you both drink “I stood outside your door, wanting, no- wishing to stay, I even thought of confessing my feelings for you in that moment, thinking it would change something” you whisper, kind of embarrassed to say such an intimate thing, and Bakugou just freezes at your next words “i-… think i never stopped”.
Katsuki doesn’t say anything, he doesn’t even move as he thinks at your words, you… You like him? You were going to stay for him? Everything could have been different, so different.
“Y-you like me?” He asks, turning his eyes at you “i-i'm… I'm engaged” the blonde whispers, mostly to himself as he looks down, thinking what's next
“I-i know” he hears your weak voice “i think I'm just trying to…. Close this cycle” you shift, looking at the sky and taking a sip of your drink
“I'm… in love with you” Bakugou whispers and meets your eyes; your face full of surprise “i-i think I always did” he adds, moving closer to you, looking at your lips and licking his own
“B-Bakugou” you whisper
“I know… damn it” Bakugou whispers and quickly move away, taking your words as a no, feeling rejected and guilty at the same time, he couldn’t do that to his fiancé, it was not ok, what kind of men would he be if-
“W-we can do it… if you want” He stops thinking again at your words, looking at you once again, admiring those lips he always wanted to taste.
Bakugou leans forward one more time, looking at your eyes, silently asking for permission, and when he sees that look in your eyes, fill with desire and eagerness, all the world around him disappears as well as all the problems this kiss will bring to him.
He groans once he crushes his lips against yours, wrapping and sucking on your lower lips eagerly and passionately.
The kiss deepens as he pulls you closer, one hand tangled in your hair while the other wraps around your waist. Your lips move together in perfect synchronization, years of longing and unspoken feelings poured into this single moment. His touch is gentle yet demanding, tender yet passionate, making your heart race with every movement. You can feel the warmth of his breath, taste the sweetness of his lips, and sense the overwhelming love in the way he holds you. Time seems to stand still as you both lose yourselves in this intimate embrace, neither wanting to break away from this perfect moment you've both waited so long to share.
Bakugou pulls away gently, still leaving small kisses on your lips “c’mon to Sparky’s room, please, let’s allow ourself a moment more… intimate” he begs with his eyes, looking at you as he stands up and guides you through the house, ignoring everyone around him.
Once Kaminari's bedroom door closes, he kisses you again with renewed passion, gently guiding you toward the bed.
His hands explore your abdomen tentatively, seeking permission for more, and once granted, he cannot hold back.
He opens his eyes again, the sun entering through the curtains bothering his eyes, Bakugou sighs and looks down at you, laying asleep on his chest as he starts to remember the night before your lips on him, your skin, your warmth- he sighs, closing his eyes again as the guilt starts to sink in.
“Good morning” a voice pulls him away from his thoughts, making him open his eyes again, smiling gently at you.
“Good morning” he says back, his hand moving over your back, caressing it gently under the sheets
“Where’s Denki?” you said, like you suddenly remembered this isn’t your room.
“I made him sleep on his couch after the party was over” Bakugou says and smiles as he hears your laugh, hugging you tightly as you press your head in the crook of his neck.
Oh god. He’s so screwed

。☆ Who Is This Diva✦
Tumblr media
。☆Content: Izuku Midoriya BF headcanons
。☆Cw: a few uses of she/her, one singular pregnancy mention, no use of y/n, light cursing
Tumblr media
✦ Always writing in that damn notebook, there is nothing you can say or do that won't end up there
✦ If you're creeped out by it, he will commit what you said to memory and write it down later
✦ The best gift giver. He notices everything about you. From your face to your body to your brain. All of his gifts are thoughtful
✦ Didn't know how to do his own hair until Mina showed him, however if you know how to do it he'll play dumb
"My hair... ? Y-Yeah, Mina normally helps me with it, b-but I seen you take care of your own so... Do you mind helping me instead ? Not that Mina isn't great, b-but she isn't you... Sorry, is that a weird thing to say ?"
✦ Sometimes YOU are the third wheel when Katsuki's around. Good luck with that.
✦ Nervous forever. Constantly apologizing. Trips over everything when you're around. His face is always bright red. Nervous talker for sure. Heaven forbid you compliment him, he might pass out on the spot
✦ He stays on Uraraka's phone. He needs advice before he does anything, especially if you're a girl. He used to take advice from Kaminari, and then he learned his lesson ( ╹▽╹ )
"I-It's not sexist to assume she likes flowers just cause she's a girl right ?.... What ?! Of course I know that not all girls like flowers !! .... N-No way I can't just ask her. What if she thinks I'm weird" (╥﹏╥)
✦ Doodles you everywhere. Aizawa is fed up with the scribbled pictures of you in all the corners of his homework. He's debating whether or not he should take point off his papers just to get him to stop. Mic and All Might think it's cute
✦ All this to say he is the sweetest ever. He makes sure to know every single thing about you, it borders on obsession. He follows you around like a lost puppy. His receiving love language is physical touch/quality time, and his giving love language is gift giving and acts of service
✦ Izuku is selfless to a fault, but when it comes to you he can't help but be selfish. No matter how much he gives to you, he feels justified because your love, affection, time, and attention, is the ultimate prize.
Tumblr media
☆ PROHERO ☆
✦ Interviewers are tired of hearing about you. Any questions lead right back to what you're doing, something you've said, what you think, what you look like. It doesn't matter as long as it's about you
✦ Puts your needs first which can be really nice, but definitely neglects himself in the process. Like this man has chronic pain in his hands, but will stay up until ungodly hours giving himself carpal tunnel making something that you didn't even ask for just bc he knew you'd like it
✦ If you're not a prohero (hell, even if you are), Izuku is overprotective. His worst fear is you being taken from him in any sense of the word. Losing you isn't something he would ever get over
✦ Rarely ever yells, but when he does he sounds just like Katsuki. It's annoying how much like Katsuki he sounds. Otherwise though, he prefers to concede to whatever you want, the only time serious arguments occur is if it's about something like your safety
"Shouto, I'm gonna throw myself off a cliff... No she's not hurt she's perfectly fine don't even joke about that !!! .... The problem ? Shou she's so mad at me.... Don't look at me like that, I'm serious !"
✦ A sass monster. Rarely ever to your face, most of the time it's just a mutter under his breath that you barely catch but you just know he said something smart.
✦ If your first language isn't Japanese then trust and believe he's learning whatever your native tongue is. He has the cutest accent too. If he's feeling bold he'll use your lessons as an excuse to flirt with you, and after that there's a high chance you won't get anything done
✦ NOT a morning person. Clings to you and the bed like his life depends on it. Moaning and groaning in your ears about how mean you are to him, how could you make him get up for early morning patrol ? Death for 10 thousand years have been cursed upon him.
"Hmm ? I don' care 'bour the alarm. Turn it off... Where you goin' ? Noooo don' go shh i's okay, mhmm it snoozes itself. Jus' lay back down, yeah 'xactly baby.... Hmm ? Late ? Patrol ? OHMYGOD PATROL !!"
✦ Pet name extraordinaire. It takes a while until he finds his favorite, so he spends his time cycling through all types of sweet names. Anything from baby to darling to pookiebear to beautiful. He probably doesn't stray too far into weird names, but he dips his toes in if it feels right.
✦ Won't admit it, but he loves it when you flaunt him to your friends. Makes him feel like a big strong man, especially when you feel up his arms. His face flushes bright red and he tries to wave it off but he stutters so much that his sentence is barely distinguishable, but of course that only makes you want to do it more
✦ When you get married it's honestly been inevitable, especially if you met while in highschool. If it was only up to Izuku you would've been married within the month, but lucky for you he has self restraint. If you both want kids they truly won't be far behind marriage, and if you thought he was obsessive before just imagine if you get pregnant.
Tumblr media
First post,, how exciting !! Not sure if I'm sticking with this format, but I think I like it. My blog is almost completely set up and I have a few reblogs so... My askbox is open if you so please (◕ᴗ◕✿)
Who f/w black Izuku like I do ?? 🗣️🗣️

The Great BNHA Review: Katuski Bakugou, the Character That Ruined Everything
Yeah, that's right, this guy gets his own section in this!
Because he's literally the catalyst that ruined what could've been a good series if he was just left behind after the battle trials.
So by now I’m sure we ALL know who this douche is, he’s part of the main cast who used to bully Izuku and was also the one who gave him that degrading nickname Deku. And from there has become a sort of rival to Izuku to butt heads with... but here's where things kind of start to go wrong.
Hori found himself liking him out of everyone and decided to make BNHA his wattpad fanfiction where everyone loves Bakugou and blows sunshine up his ass whenever he becomes a topic of discussion.
And that isn't even the worst part, no no no, the worst part is that Bakugou himself is a flaming dumpster fire of a character!
He's always yelling everything he says so it makes it hard to listen to him, he's obnoxious and rude to everyone around him, is pretty much talented at everything he does so he comes across as more of a Gary Stu than anything... And he's never. Punished. Once.
At least in a way that's satisfying.
Sure he got put under House Arrest for being out after curfew, but the reason why this doesn't work is because Izuku ALSO gets punished alongside him! When he was only defending himself and couldn't run away! And the fact that Izuku got more flock for it AND was the one to apologize to it... I'm sorry but that's literally fucked up!
And I know there's gonna be some people that'll say:
"Well that's how it is in the real world, it's being realistic of how bullying situations usually goes."
I'm sorry, I don't go to fiction to be reminded of how much the world sucks. I go to fiction to experience a good story and watch characters grow and become better versions of themselves!
But Katsuki Bakugou, never goes through any of this!
He never grows or learns from his past mistakes, he never learns that his behavior is toxic and how it effects the people around him, and he never becomes a better version of himself... In fact he only got worse if the ending is anything to go by!
He just stays the same because that's how the fandom adores him as! A potty mouth arrogant asshole character who happens to be hot in their eyes!
To put it simply, he's a leech to the BNHA story. He sucks away screentime and attention that could've gone to the other characters that needed it to make their stories hit harder. He sucks away the nuance and themes the story was supposed to have in order to keep him in a good light without acknowledging his bad actions. And to hammer in the worst part about Bakugou.
... He prevents Izuku from growing and becoming the main character he was supposed to be. In fact I would even go as far to say Hori probably wished Bakugou was the main character instead, if he loves asshole characters so much, then he might as well make one the main character in his next work.
Edit: This part is an add on as I completely forgot about it and couldn't do it earlier today as I was at work, but now I'm here to fix it.
Bakudeku... this ship is a stain on all shipping. It's literally Abuser x Victim and it's disgusting how people romanticize this so much. And I believe it's this ship that twists their views on relationships and it'll cause them to get into abusive relationships since it's so normalized in this fanon ship that shouldn't even be seen in the positive light that it is.
So to end this part off before we get to closing thoughts, Katsuki Bakugou is without a doubt the worst anime character I have the misfortune of seeing. He's the shining example of what happens when you play favorites and trying to show everyone how great they are.
Fuck you Katuski Bakugou. You ruined BNHA.

Final Exams Arc
Okay, let's get into this.
Izuku Midoriya & Katsuki Bakugou vs All Might:
I know, I know. Just hear me out, okay?
I was absolutely going to change this matchup (@nutzgunray-lvt had brought up Momo and Izuku vs Midnight and I really loved that idea). But I did say before that some of Aizawa's worst tendencies would still be around. He thinks Izuku and Bakugou's relationship is because of both of them not being able to cooperate. This is the opportunity to teach him a well-deserved lesson.
So, I would say most things go the same. Bakugou is being a bitch uncooperative and making things harder. But once Bakugou punches him, Izuku starts to contemplate a lot.
Logically, he knows that while All Might is focused on Bakugou, he could escape. Bakugou wouldn't let All Might ignore him and he could use the cover of the smoke from the debris and Bakugou's gauntlets.
But it feels so... unheroic. He isn't supposed to run and leave his teammate behind. A true hero would stand and fight, even while facing certain death. He's not sure he could abandon his ally, it feels cowardly. Especially because Bakugou could be seriously hurt as All Might wasn't going easy on them.
Part of him argues that Bakugou wouldn't care if he was the one being beat to a pulp.
Ironically, it's Yaoyorozu who comes to mind. Izuku knows the two of them are very different, but he really does admire her rationality and planning. She would make the argument that coming back with reinforcements isn't leaving a teammate behind, it's presenting an opportunity to save them.
Izuku doesn't think he would actually be able to do this in a real situation. He wants to save people, he wants to make people smile. Has he ever made Bakugou smile?
But this isn't a real situation, is it? Maybe just this once, he didn't have to intervene.
Izuku turns around and runs for the exit, successfully escaping while Bakugou is fighting All Might alone like an idiot.
He tries to ignore the guilt he feels at what he's done and wonders if All Might is disappointed in him.
Momo Yaoyorozu & Shoto Todoroki vs Eraserhead
Honestly, as far as this fight goes, it's one of my favorites of this arc. I feel like the characterization for both of them is pretty good. They both play off one another really well.
However, the way I've had it set up, Yaoyorozu had been learning to think on her feet. So, obviously, I have to continue with that.
Unintentionally, Todoroki tries to brush Yaoyorozu aside because he thinks he can handle it without causing her harm. He admires her intelligence and proficiency with her quirk, but thinks that he could probably mange to apprehend Aizawa on his own.
Yaoyorozu vehemently protests. She acknowledges that she has hesitated before, but that this was different than the Sports Festival. She knows that she can do better if he gives her the chance.
Todoroki is taken back by this and doesn't notice Aizawa suspended from the rafters. But Yaoyorozu does out of the corner of her eye. She moves him out of the way and creates a pipe that Aizawa's capture scarf wraps around.
She can't hesitate here, she needs to act quickly. She releases the pipe and the force drives it towards Aizawa. He dodges it easily, but he was momentarily distracted which gave Yaoyorozu and Todoroki time to hide and regroup.
Once they're out of his sight, Todoroki apologizes. He tells her that he wasn't trying to make her feel inadequate, he just wasn't used to relying on others. He tells her that he thinks that she's very capable and has a high opinion of her, which was why he voted for her for class representative. He tells her he'd ready to listen to whatever plan she has.
Yaoyorozu is genuinely touched and accepts his apology. She admits that she understands how it's hard to connect and work with others and has trouble with coming off as unfriendly and unapproachable and tends to overthink too much. She actually talks about Izuku and Uraraka and how she's somewhat jealous of them because they're able to act without thinking.
So the two of them make a plan.
Yaoyorozu "ambushes" Aizawa with a smoke bomb. This doesn't work because his goggles allow him to see heat signatures (my own addition, I feel like it makes sense). She attacks him with a staff she made. She knows that she's outclassed, but manages to defend against his blows. She isn't thinking, she's fighting on instinct and she's actually managing to hold her own.
But Aizawa is more skilled and experienced. He knocks her down and captures her with his scarf. But suddenly he can't move. He looks down and sees that his feet are frozen to the ground. He turns around to attempt to find Todoroki and negate his quirk when a handcuff is clasped around his wrist.
It had been a diversion.
Yaoyorozu managed to free herself by cutting through his scarf with a dagger and cuffed him when he was focused on finding Todoroki.
(Yaoyorozu leans balance between planning and taking action while Todoroki learns how to rely on others and seem them as equals. Yay character development)
Ochako Uraraka & Yuga Aoyama vs Thirteen:
I'm keeping this mostly the same, but without Aoyama's teasing. But instead of Uraraka being embarrassed and letting go, she asks Aoyama to use his laser to momentarily blind Thirteen the minute she lets go. He does so, and Uraraka allows herself to be sucked in and propelled at Thirteen, where she takes them (referring to Thirteen neutrally because her gender hasn't been revealed at this point) down and cuffs them while they can't see.
I think I'll be keeping every other match the same. EXCEPT for Mineta and Sero versus Midnight, Sero doesn't take the fall for Mineta and Mineta falls victim to his own weakness. It's Sero who saves him and carries him to the exit.
(I changed this because I'm going to give Mineta a little bit of growth and reflection. Having him lose here means that his perversion isn't only gross, it's hindering his work as a hero and he needs to do better)
After the exam, Aizawa commends Izuku (in private) for thinking logically for once, but questions why he would leave his teammate behind because it seems unlike him. Izuku confesses that he tried to plan and work with Bakugou, but he simply wasn't listening. He figured he could save both their grades if he successfully escaped.
He feels guilty even as he says this. How can he call himself a hero if he left his teammate to suffer at the hands of a villain?
Even if it was Bakugou.
Aizawa thinks about what he's being told for a long time. He knows that Bakugou has been violent with Izuku. He had assumed that they were rivals who couldn't get along, which was why he had paired them together. He had noticed that All Might looked like he wanted to protest this arrangement, but hadn't.
All this time, he had thought Izuku was part of the problem. But there was a bruise on the kid's cheek even though he hadn't sustained any injuries from All Might. It didn't take a genius to figure out what had happened.
And suddenly he feels guilty for not nipping this in the bud sooner.
Aizawa tells Izuku not to worry about it and that he had done the right thing. Then, he goes to confront All Might. He asks All Might what the real nature of Izuku and Bakugou's relationship is. All Might doesn't want to tell Aizawa for three reasons: a) it was Izuku's business not his, b) he didn't want Aizawa to accuse him of favoritism again and give Izuku and even harder time, and c) he didn't have the full truth himself, just speculation.
(I initially wrote this to be an argument, but I feel like All Might probably wouldn't argue with Aizawa. Plus, he feels guilty about not addressing this sooner)
Aizawa feels like an asshole (he is), but decides that he's going to try to do better by Izuku and all of his students.
RESULTS:
Yuga Aoyama: PASS
Mina Ashido: FAIL
Tsuyu Asui: PASS
Tenya Iida: PASS
Ochako Uraraka: PASS
Mashirao Ojiro: PASS
Denki Kaminari: FAIL
Eijiro Kirishima: FAIL
Koji Koda: PASS
Rikido Sato: FAIL
Mezo Shoji: PASS
Kyoka Jirou: PASS
Hanta Sero: PASS
Fumikage Tokoyami: PASS
Shoto Todoroki: PASS
Toru Hagakure: PASS
Katsuki Bakugou: FAIL
Izuku Midoriya: PASS
Minrou Mineta: FAIL
Momo Yaoyorozu: PASS
Bakugou is pissed when the results are announced. He rages, demanding to know why worthless Deku passed and he didn't. Izuku is also shocked (and guilty, because he had assumed escaping would secure both their grades. He wouldn't have done it if he had known Kacchan would fail too!). But Aizawa silences Bakugou with a nasty glare.
He reprimands Bakugou, telling him he had warned him about acting irresponsibly. Not only had he refused to cooperate and put himself in unnecessary danger, but he had assaulted his teammate. Aizawa bluntly tells him that a strong quirk isn't everything and that he can't act however he wants and still get his way in life. Reality would force him to face more severe consequences unless he gets his act together.
(Despite this, Izuku still feels like he should have failed too. He had abandoned his teammate, wasn't that the opposite of being heroic?)
Aizawa announces that everyone will be going to the training camps (there was no logical ruse because that shit is dumb and canon Aizawa doesn't know any other ways to teach).
While gathering allies to form the League of Villains, Tomura is introduced to two candidates: Himiko Toga and someone who introduces himself as Dabi. They both sought the League out because of Stain.
(Also, I just confirmed that Dabi did not have a notable record prior to joining the LOV. Keep that in mind)
This pisses Tomura off. He hates Stain for turning him down and doesn't understand his ideals. Society was wrong and heroes were two-faced liars who perpetuated it. Why not wipe out everything? Why not destroy it all? He expresses this to the new candidates.
Dabi rolls his eyes and calls Tomura an idiot without a real cause. He doesn't care about what or who gets destroyed, but he admires Stain because he spoke out against false heroes. He claims that false heroes are the real blunder on society and if they can be purged, humanity might get their shit together.
Toga doesn't talk about false heroes, but she does want a world where everyone can be accepted no matter what he quirk is. She wants to be herself and have people to accept and care about her. She felt a kinship with Stain because of the similarities in their quirks and thought that the League would accept her because of this.
Tomura is frustrated because he doesn't understand what the hell these people are talking about. He tries to kill them and they go to defend themselves only for Kurogiri to intervene. He tells Tomura that he needs all the forces he can get and that maybe he should actually listen to what these two have to say.
Grumbling, he goes to the mall to clear his head.
This happens to be when 1A also goes to the mall to prepare for the training camps. Izuku, Iida, Uraraka, Tsu, and Yaoyorozu form a small group as they look for things to buy. Yaoyorozu's made an itinerary and hands everyone a list of basic necessities. The girls break off from the boys, wanting to see if they can find more comfortable clothes to wear.
Iida expresses his gratitude to Izuku, not for saving him, but for showing him what it means to be a hero. Izuku blushes and stutters, telling Iida he really doesn't need to thank him. Especially because he doesn't think he did the right thing during the final exam. He confesses what happened to Iida and that he feels like he betrayed his morals.
But Iida assures him that he didn't do anything wrong. Bakugou was risking both their grades and was never in any actual danger. Izuku says that even so he should have tried harder. Iida's quiet for a moment, then asks Izuku how he feels about Bakugou.
Izuku is confused by the question. He admires Bakugou's strength and dedication. What more is there? Why is Iida asking him this?
But before he can say that, a hooded figure shows up and starts touching Izuku (stranger danger) while expressing how much of a fan he was. He goes on and on about how he was so cool during the Sports Festival and facing Stain (chronic yapper). Both Izuku and Tenya are tense, especially when the stranger reveals that he didn't think they would meet again.
They both realize at the same time that the man is Tomura Shigaraki, the one who led the attack on the USJ.
Iida immediately moves to do... something (attack? Call for help? He doesn't know!) only to watch with horror as Shigaraki's fingers close around Izuku's neck, leaving his middle finger off him.
Shigaraki tells both of them to calm down unless they want Izuku to die. But Izuku assures Iida that it doesn't matter if he dies, he just wants him to stop Shigaraki. If he makes a scene, the heroes will show up. However, Shigaraki tells them that he'll kill everyone he can before the heroes get there if either of them draw any attention. Iida wasn't planning on risking it anyway.
Shigaraki tells them that the Hero Killer is bugging him. Both of them are confused; they assumed that Stain was working with him. Shigaraki tells them that wasn't the case and that he's jealous of all the attention Stain is getting. He doesn't understand the difference between them.
Iida asks what Shigaraki's goal is. He hates Stain, but he knows that Stain had a goal. One that might not have been as baseless as he originally thought. His brother, who he had thought was a virtuous, noble hero had done something wrong. If he was right about Tensei, wasn't it possible that he was right about all of them?
Shigaraki answers that he wants to destroy everything.
Izuku says that's why he isn't getting any attention. He had been thinking a lot about Todoroki and what he had told him about Endeavor. If the #2 hero was that bad, what were other heroes getting away with? How much did society overlook about someone just because they were strong? It's hard for him to admit through his admiration for heroes, but he thinks Stain made some sort of sense. He tells Shigaraki that Stain had a goal and a reason for doing things, while Shigaraki causes destruction for no reason. Izuku doesn't agree with what Stain does, but his ideals make some sort of sense.
Izuku tells Shigaraki that he suspects that Stain wants to fix things about society and that correlates to killing false heroes. He doesn't understand how quite yet, but he assumes him and All Might were spared because they put others first. They were "true heroes," according to Stain.
(He really doesn't feel like a true hero after what happened in the final exam. He feels like a fake)
Shigaraki thinks about his answer. He thinks about what Toga and Dabi said. He knew society was wrong, Sensei had always told him that. But he had always said the answer was destroying it and Tomura had always agreed.
But fixing it? He doesn't understand the point of that. Tomura had never fixed anything in his life. He had always just destroyed and killed whatever irked him, whatever made him angry. And Sensei had encouraged it. He's a villain and he had never denied that. He doesn't want to fix anything.
He just wants to destroy it.
Didn't he?
But Stain's goals seemed to get attention. He could use that to his advantage. Then everyone would have to pay attention to him. He could make Stain's followers his own. Starting with those two fools who followed him so devoutly.
The girls return. Uraraka and Yaoyorozu ask who their friend is, but Tsu instantly realizes who it is. She had been a second away from dying at his hand. She could never forget that face. She freezes, which makes the other two girls realize something is wrong. They demand that Shigaraki let go of Izuku.
Shigaraki chuckles and does as they say. He thanks Izuku and Iida for the help and leaves, warning them not to follow. Izuku asks what All For One is after, to which Shigaraki replies he has no idea. He then tells Izuku to worry about himself because he'll kill him next time they meet.
Once he's gone, Uraraka frantically asks what happened and if they're alright while Yaoyorozu tends to Tsu who's gone pale. Uraraka calls the police while Iida tries to shake Izuku who's unresponsive.
He can't bring himself to respond to his friends. All he can think about is how he was going to stop Shigaraki and All For One before they can hurt more people
Notes:
Aizawa redemption anyone?? He's going to be a better teacher from here on out. Still an asshole, but his goal is going to be actively working to improve his students. Letting Bakugou's behavior go unchecked to where he felt comfortable attacking his teammate was the wake-up call he needed
I intentionally didn't have All Might talk to Izuku. He's still grappling with his own views about heroics at the moment and he suspects that Bakugou is a bully, so it doesn't occur to him that Izuku might thing he was disappointed in him. They're both really bad communicators
It was a weird choice on Horikoshi's part to make Sero pay for Mineta's shortcomings. He could have used this to address Mineta's actions, instead he more or less rewards it. Feels like something he does a lot with Mineta (he also did it during the JTA), which is part of the reason why he's so hated
I swear Uraraka is so much more enjoyable as a character when you take away her crush on Izuku. Rewriting this damn story is reigniting my love for her
So, Shigaraki. What I'm doing here is trying to a) give him agency and b) have him overcome AFO's manipulations. Shigaraki's hatred of heroes and society comes from AFO taking advantage of what happened that night he killed his family. These aren't Shigaraki's real feelings, he doesn't have enough agency to have real feelings at this point. My changes here were to a) give him a real goal and b) show that he and Izuku are kind of coming to terms with the same thing. That's also why I steered away from him wanting to kill All Might, I want their interaction to be driven away from their mentors. They're kind of coming to the same conclusions, but on opposite spectrums
I kept Iida around because I wanted him to also reflect on Stain and Tensei. Also, he's a good friend
I know it might feel OOC to have Izuku leave Bakugou. I felt weird writing it. But this is supposed to be representative of a few things. Izuku's views are changing and evolving. He's being affected by the people around him, most noticeably Momo who's kind of his opposite here. He knew he wasn't ready to fight All Might and knew it was pointless to get Bakugou to cooperate. He was thinking objectively and allowed himself to do so because it was a school assignment and not real life (he wouldn't be able to do this in a real situation). It also isn't a coincidence that this happened after Bakugou punched him. He's coming to terms with how much Bakugou's treatment has affected him over the years. After all that's happened- his friends' and All Might's concerns- Izuku is beginning to separate himself from Bakugou, even if he hasn't realized it yet. This is actually what Iida was going to suggest was happening before Shigaraki showed up
Dabi is way closer to being morally ambiguous than an outright villain here. I mean, in my opinion, that's how he was originally. Him and Toga are both following Stain's ideals more closely, although Toga doesn't really understand them to the same extent (I noticed that Shigaraki seemed to assume that Toga didn't actually care about Stain's goals despite admiring him but didn't include Dabi in that. It implies that his goals always aligned more closely with what Stain wanted. Horikoshi why did you ruin him)

My breakdown over 431 and why it's the worst thing to have ever been made canon (yes, it is canon technically)
Okay...so..
You're telling me..wait wait
So 429 was the official ending...430 was the "curtain's closing"..and 431 is outside of the drama, with the cameras off
But..youre telling me..that 431 is still canon?
Wait I'm seriously confused now HORIKOSHI PLEASE EXPLAIN PROPERLY
Was it the team that drew the goddamn chapter or you 😭😭
Like wtf? After giving Bakugo that redemption arc, after basically making him the second main character, after finally having his and Izuku's friendship fixed...why did you do this to him?
But if it isn't canon, the team still drew it...that must mean Hori still had some connection to it...but why?
Why must they make Bakugo suffer?
Why didn't they make him smile EVEN ONCE?
What is seriously wrong with you 😭
So you're saying you made this "outside of the drama" and with the cameras off to give the characters a happy ending and show their life outside of the cameras and the plot
So why, THE FUCK, would you do the exact opposite and make the fandom's favorite character suffer? What has he DONE TO YOU?
Because you know what fk you 😭 not seriously, but still. Even if it's not explicitly canon, you still very much thought of it and APPROVED of releasing it, so you're totally okay, in fact, you SUPPORT whatever the fuck this was????
Hold on, hold on. Let me summarize 431 in Bakugo's perspective for you.
All their life, Izuku wanted nothing more than to have Bakugo by his side, he only knew how to live with Kacchan there next to him. As a child, Kacchan was the most special person that Izuku ever lay his eyes on. He saw only him, because he shined brighter than anyone else. He was his hero. Until he wasn't anymore. Until he learned to live his life without him. He learned to move on. He doesn't need Kacchan to live his life anymore. He doesn't need him in his life anymore to make him happy. He has found his purpose and accepted that it wasn't the same path as Katsuki's.
Bakugo used to be independent and wanted to stand alone without Deku until Izuku taught him to rely on others, not just himself. So he let him in his heart, wishing with his whole heart that Izuku will be there next to him for the rest of his life. Bakugo was afraid to let someone in, afraid to be vulnerable and let his guard down. But he did, and he trusted Izuku, opened himself up to him and shared his soul with him. Only to be left alone in the dust. He was right to be afraid of opening up, afraid of being left alone. He opened up his heart, but ended up disappointed. He let himself fall, only to put his walls up again. He opened up once, but got disappointed. Never again. He stood there, watching him go, until he disappeared and became part of the crowd. Just like everyone else. He watched as he walked out of his life. Bakugo didn't get his happy ending. He didn't achieve his dream. He didn't get to become the number one hero because he only wanted to do that with Izuku there by his side. But Izuku chose another path, and he's not there to motivate him anymore. Bakugo has lost the reason of his happiness. He isn't the Bakugo who never gives up anymore. He isn't the Kacchan who always wins. He's just the Katsuki that was once special but now is just there, with no real reason to be alive. As he will forever be waiting for someone like Izuku to join by his side, knowing noone will ever be able to replace him, because to him, no one will ever be as special as Izuku.
First it was Bakugo that left little Deku behind. Then it was Izuku that left Kacchan behind without looking back. This is Bakugo's consequence for what he said to Izuku. He'll never be able to be happy with the person that he loves. Izuku is happy, he has learned to move on and live his life as a teacher, helping other people's dreams. He moved past his dream of becoming a hero with Katsuki. Meanwhile Bakugo can only be happy with him in his life. He thought they'd be competing for the rest of their lives, but that dream is already gone, it slipped right out of his hands as he watched him go.
They were never meant to have a happy ending.
Everyone got their happy ending but Katsuki. So I guess I see what your plan was all along Horikoshi...we really did come a full circle huh. The roles switched, and Bakugo will forever regret not taking Izuku's hand when he had the chance. All along it was Izuku chasing after Kacchan, but now it will forever be Bakugo chasing after Izuku, on his heels for the rest of his life, but never close enough to reach him. Life lesson learned I guess. Izuku finally learned how to move on and be his own person, and he finally learned that he has other people in his life too, not just Kacchan. And Katsuki finally learned to let himself be vulnerable and love someone else. He has finally learned that he's not more special than anyone else. Not even in Izuku's eyes.
I still have hopes for the official volume release tomorrow, but..I don't think I'll be able to look at the ending the same way after this. After knowing what happens after. As heart wrenching as it might be, it's realistic. It makes too much sense that they have come a full circle, it makes too much sense that they won't be together forever, that they'll drift apart after some years. It makes too much sense that the other will find other friends, other people that are important to him. And it makes too much sense that the one person who has denied to let himself love someone and open up his heart end up being the one that does but it's too late. Because when he finally let all his walls down, the other has already moved on. It's how life works. People won't wait for you forever, and you can't live your life pushing everyone away and insisting to be alone. Because by the time you do let your walls down, you'll realize you're alone and you took the other person for granted, not realizing you never had forever with them. And now they're gone. And you'll be stuck missing them and thinking about what you two could have been for the rest of your life.
I fking hate you for this Horikoshi, and I don't care, this is my own personal opinion and I'm fking hurt, even if it is the most realistic ending they could have gotten. Is it really too much to ask for them to have a happy ending? Why did that boy have to lose his smile after he has finally gotten it back again? Why do his eyes have to look hollow, like his life has no reason? Why does he have to look like he has lost everything, even though it was never his in the first place?

I feel bad for Mitsuki. She has a parent's worst nightmare to raise, and people are legit calling her abusive because she doesn't worship the ground at Bakugou's feet.
Maybe I'm a bit biased, because she reminds me of my stepmother. Her family spoiled her son rotten (he was never as bad as Bakugou, but he did have some severe behavior problems that alienated him from a lot of people), and she was the only one trying to instill rules and discipline in his life, which made her the bad guy in many people's eyes.
Someone tried to make the case that Mitsuki and Katsuki (calling them both by their given names for this ask) are both horrible and abusive and I'm like no way José.
Compare Katsuki's introduction to Mitsuki's. One of them is inherently painted to be more cruel and callous and it isn't Mitsuki. In fact, I'd say that Mitsuki is actually a lot more friendly. She didn't get hostile until Katsuki did. Calling her abusive from what we've seen when she did it in front of his teachers and they didn't say a damn word is so... Disingenuous? I don't even know what to call it.
A playful tap on the back of the head is not physical abuse. If her intention has been to actually hurt him, this would be a different story. But it isn't. She wasn't even upset during the first hit, so what about that screams abuse?
I'm not averse to saying that Mitsuki could be verbally abusive. But even then for me, it's more like she's careless with her words than intentionally cruel. Like when she says, "Oh hush. This wouldn't have happened if you hadn't gotten kidnapped and caused all that trouble." I sincerely doubt she actually means, "It's your fault you got kidnapped." To me, it's more like, "You were careless and other people are suffering because of it so get off your high horse."
Because as much as I agree that the LOV's actions (and UA's negligence) are not on Katsuki, he very much was careless and that contributed to him getting kidnapped and putting his classmates in danger. Which also was the reason everyone had to uproot their lives and move into the dorms. I think Mitsuki is trying to make him more humble and aware of how his actions affect others by saying this. I don't agree with how she communicated that, but I sincerely doubt her intention was to be cruel.
The problem is that Katsuki stans take one scene and run with it. But they also somehow miss the part where Mitsuki thanks Aizawa for sticking up for him and humbly asks him to make him a good hero. She even playfully ruffles his hair and he doesn't pull away. An abusive mother wouldn't care so much about her son's dream.
This same scene also implies that she regrets letting adults feed Katsuki's ego because she knows it made him worse. That's probably why she's harsher on him now, because she's aware that the temper of a 4 year old and a temper on a 16 year old are two different things and doesn't want him to continue to be violent and temperamental into adulthood. She's doing damage control the best she can.
That's probably why you relate her to your stepmother (who sounds awesome btw). Because you see a woman who's getting hate for trying to correct her violent, bigoted son's behavior before it escalates.
(Female Katsuki stans are such boy moms. No one can say or do anything to their precious Kacchan and nothing is ever his fault because he's just a poor child who doesn't know any better so who gives a fuck about his victim)

Explosive Tendencies a slow burn fanfic about the readers developing relationship with Katsuki Bakugo.
Chapter three: You ask Katsuki how his internship is going.
Chapter links
Tumblr media
After the sports festival, agencies scouted students who they wanted to offer internships for. Your internship kept you busy, with barely any time to rest.
You couldn't help but wonder how the internships with your other classmates were going. However, even though you had been at U.A. for a while now, you still hadn't made too many close connections with any of your classmates.
It wasn't that you didn't care for them, but everyone seemed to be a bit more extroverted than you and easily talked to one another. You never really found an opening to join in on any conversations unless someone personally asked you something.
This happened far and in between but was usually either Mina or Eijiro. Mina sometimes asks you about trivial things like where you get your accessories. Eijiro sometimes spouted out random words of encouragement at you. His enthusiasm always made you jump.
The only other person you had talked to at all was Katsuki, and that was never during school at all, and like the last two times it only occurred because you'd message him first.
You kind of began to feel like you might be a nuisance since he never messaged you on his own, but having a short amount of downtime you wanted to ask what someone else's internship was like. You opened your phone and messaged Katsuki.
Hey, how is your internship going?
It's fucking crap.
Wow really? You're with Best Jeanist though!
He spends way too long giving me dumb fucking makeovers. It's stupid, I'm not even learning anything.
What! No way makeovers? I want to see!
In your dreams idiot.
Aw fine- at least tell me what he did though!
Fuck no.
Come on, I'm sure it's not that bad.
Fine, only if you promise to stop pestering me about it!
Promise.
He messes with my hair every goddamn day. Taking up time that we could be doing something useful. The worst part is I can't even get this crap out of my hair.
I can help if you want.
Nice try nerd, no way I'm letting you see.
Bakugo I'm sure it's not as bad as you think. Let me help. I won't tell anyone about it.
Do you really think you get this out of my hair?
Yeah, I've got some tricks.
Fine.
Just like the other two times before, Katsuki was at your window shortly. You opened it to let him in and had to immediately cover your mouth to suppress a laugh. Katsuki's hair was slicked straight down with an overwhelming amount of gel in it.
"If you fucking even let out a breath of laughter I'll kill you!" He warned seeing your snickering face.
"Oh my god-," Your sides collapsed while holding in your laughter. "How much damn gel did he use??"
"You see what I'm talking about! This internship is a fucking waste of time!" Katsuki yelled back.
"Yeah this is pretty criminal," You agreed. "Why is he concerned about your hair anyway?" You asked and grabbed a comb, spray bottle, and towel.
"That's what I'm saying! This crap isn't important for hero work! He makes all his sidekicks and interns look like this." Katsuki said and sat on your floor.
You sat behind him and sprayed at his hair to get it wet then rubbed the towel over his hair, "I understand if he wants you to look professional but this completely ruins the rugged sexy look you usually go for," you spoke.
"Hu?" Katsuki exclaimed and turned around to eye for a second.
"Oh uh-," You felt your face get hot for a second. Why the hell did you just say that? "It's just um- every hero has a different look they go for you know? He should respect this isn't you," you said trying to recover from what you just said.
"Yeah, right," Katsuki dropped it and turned back around as you continued to work on his hair. You both sat in silence for as you worked on his hair. The awkwardness that had taken over the room felt suffocating.
"How is your internship going?" Katsuki asked, breaking the unbearable silence.
"Not too bad, I'm learning a lot," You said.
"Tch, must be nice," He grumbled.
"Don't be too upset, this isn't forever Bakugo," You tried to cheer him up. Finally freeing only one strand of his hair. The gel was not giving up.
"I just hate wasting my goddamn time," He said resting his head in his palm as you continued to spray and comb through his hair.
"It might seem like a waste now, but I'm sure in the future at least one thing he taught you will be useful. Besides, Best Jeanist is super popular, and when you're the number one hero it'll be useful to have learned some of his professionalism," You spoke.
"What did you just say?" Katsuki asked, picking his head up from his palm.
"Like repeat all of it? Were you really not listening Bakugo?" You said slightly irritated pulling harder on his hair.
"Nah- Just... ah fuck neverminded," He grumbled, putting his head back to rest on his hand.
"What part? Tell me," You insisted.
"The part about me being the number one hero, you didn't say if you said when," He said. It had been a long time since anyone had accepted his ambition as absolute. When he was a kid his other classmates marveled and said he would be the top hero one day. But as he got older things seemed to change. Even his parents, while they encouraged him, didn't look at him the same as when he was a kid.
"What about it? Isn't that what you're always yelling about?" You asked confused.
"Yeah- well- maybe you're not that stupid after all if you know it's the truth," He said, masking whatever emotion he was truly feeling.
You laughed, "Just make sure not to ever have this hair when you're the top hero alright?" You teased him.
"Because you think it's sexy the other way right?" He teased you back bringing up your earlier remark. Your face flushed and the comb slipped out of your hand landing on the floor. As it did, Katsuki's hair suddenly poofed back up.
"Um- uh- that's not what I said-," You stuttered trying to redeem your embarrassment.
"Save it," Katsuki laughed. "You can't take it back now," He stood up and flashed you a smirk. "Not sure how you did it," He said, running his hands through his now normal hair. "But thanks... or whatever. I gotta get going, see you in class," He said and left through your window.

Getting upset with Bakugou or Enjin because you think he forgot Valentine’s Day, but really you were just a day early🥺😂
LMFAOOO omg okay wait lemme try to do both.
Katsuki is on a lot of nights for his hero work these past few months. He texts you before he goes to bed if you aren't up when he gets home. He texts you so you'll have a good morning text to wake up to and something nice to read until he's up for the day much later in the afternoon.
So when you wake up you whole expect a happy Valentine's day at the very least in his text but you get nothing. He isn't super into the holiday but he knows you care and usually gets things you like. When you go to the kitchen nothing is set up there for you or in your little home office. You immediately think the worst.
Bakugou Katsuki forgot Valentine's that fucking scrooge.
Now you're all pouty and when you hear his alarm go off in your shared bedroom you go to cuddle him a bit as he wakes up and he still doesn't say it.
"Happy Valentine's day." You say softly and with a pout, all sad that he's forgotten and he doesn't hear you at first.
"Haaah? What?" He bites, grumpy as he's waking up, phone in his hand but not on as he has you close to his chest.
"I said! Happy Valentine's day! I can't believe you forgot!" You push at him a little angry now, cute pout and tone quickly trying to turn into a hissing growl. All the while Katsuki looks at you confused. He checks his phone again and then his dark eyes go back to you.
"That's tomorrow dumb ass." Smirk starting to spread as your brows furrow.
"Today is the fourteenth!"
"Ya've been up four hours and still don't know what the fuckin date is? I've been up five minutes and know it's the thirteenth." He brings his phone into view pointing out the date and suddenly you're offended. He laughs bringing you closer so he can press a long kiss to your forehead. "Dumbass." He mutters again before he yawns, stretching.
"Ya trying to ruin your surprise for tomorrow?" Because you almost were! Bakugou had it planned that even though he wouldn't be able to be there tomorrow night he has flowers, chocolates and dinner set up to send to you through out the afternoon and a really sappy fucking card he wrote for you to wake up to.
Then you have Enjin.
Innocently outside smoking to relieve some stress after the day he's had today. Letting the smoke cling and clot the tender flesh of his lungs before he fully exhales. Letting the tension leave his body before the door behind him slams open and then shut
"Enjin!" You look mad as hell, some little red bag in your hands that you shove against his chest, "Happy Valentine's day asshole!"
You're about to turn on your heel and storm away as quickly as you stormed in but he catches the crook of your arm. Looking into the bag while his cigarette dangles from his lips, he sees chocolates, a card, a little charm to add to the handle of his umbrella and a half a pack of premium cigarettes.
"What's this?"
"Are you daft?! I said Valentine's day. Ya know the cute lovey dovey day couples exchange gifts! Had I known you'd forget I wouldn't have saved a month's wages for those smokes." You pout, pulling your arm and pushing at his rough hand that won't let you escape.
Enjin's brows furrow, his lip up in a snarl as he thinks, taking a drag of his smoke without holding it.
"Sweetheart, that's tomorrow." Comes his gruff tone, "Today is the thirteenth."
"It isn't."
"It is."
He pulls up his jacket sleeve to show you his watch with 13 in the date box and suddenly you look mortified. Frantically trying to escape his grip now, resembling a wild animal before he's pulling you to him. Your chest flush with his and he spits his mostly done cigarette out of his mouth.
"I guess I can give you yer present early since you've fucked up the dates so badly." He chuckles reaching into his pocket to pull out a half tarnished pure silver heart shape locket he's been trying to clean up since he found it two months ago. He watches your face light up and tears in your eyes making him chuckle.
"Yer such a fuckin brat."

curses, like chickens by Kaekokat14, Tierfal. After the sudden death of his wife, Natsuo falls apart – and his two young sons end up with Enji.
My Hero Academia (Enji/Hawks). This is the best fic I read this year. It is an amazing study on the Natsuo and Enji's relationship. It also has some of the best (and most complex) depictions of grief and forgiveness I've read in a fanfiction.
Carry No Burden by RohanBerry. Katsuki and Touya have been talking online for months. When Katsuki Presents as an Omega and triggers Touya’s Rut they are forced to admit they are drawn to each other. But as they try to navigate their complicated relationship they are forced to deal with outside issues.
Katsuki is evicted from Pack 1A when they find out the true extent of his middle school bullying and he’s too busy trying to hide his mother’s abuse to fix anything. Touya is helpless to do anything as his Omega is forced to face foe after foe.
Follow Katsuki and Touya, as they go from a hero and a villain, to a power couple the rest of Japan idolises, one slow step at a fucking time.
My Hero Academia (Bakugou/Dabi). Reading this fic felt self indulgent in the best way. It has all of my favorite ABO tropes and some great smut. There are some interesting background pairings and (some) LOV redemption if you enjoy that. Also, super long so it will keep you busy.
Lessons Learned by Sif (Rosae). Rather than the police station, Katsuki's friends bring him to a hospital after rescuing him from the villains. His wounds were minor, but it didn't make having them treated any less important. As it would so happen, Best Jeanist was also brought to this hospital after the attack.
Sometimes, small choices have a big impact on how a story plays out.
--------------- Aka: Best Jeanist Acquires A Son. Featuring: Serious talks regarding abuse and emotional scars, one adult finally stepping the hell up and trying to help Katsuki, me going off about the sports festival because I'm still not over it, pro-heros having a group chat, and Katsuki finally getting a chance to learn how to be good.
My Hero Academia (Gen). The worst part about this fic is that made me crave Dad Jeanist with Bakugou and it isn't as popular to write about as Dadwaza. This was also my most reread fic this year.
A Sad Song With Nothing To Say by WakingNightmares. It starts with the Make A Wish foundation, and ends with a funeral.
Which, Bruce supposes, is unfortunately how things involving the Make A Wish foundation usually work. But what happens in-between catches him completely off-guard.
DC (Gen). This is a wonderfully painful character study of Jason Todd. It will make you cry but its worth it.
Malfoy Home for Lost Children by Craftybadger1234. After the war, Draco accidentally becomes responsible for a whole passel of children. Along the way, he has to dodge Harry Potter nosing around in his business.
Harry Potter (Draco/Malfoy). This is the first HP fic I've loved enough to bookmark. I enjoyed the focus on Slytherins and their friendships. Plus, cute kids.
Lightning's End by evils. Sanji thinks he’s finally in the clear after escaping Whole Cake Island, until the Thousand Sunny encounters a freak storm that sweeps him and Luffy overboard.
Stranded, they face new trials that force them to confront truths about the strange island they’re on, and about each other.
One Piece (Sanji/Luffy). This fic made me love this ship. I really enjoyed how the writer wrote Luffy. It also had a fun bit of mystery as well.
Salvage by MuffinLance. Mid-Season-One Zuko is held for ransom by Chief Hakoda. Ozai's replies to the Water Tribe's demands are A+ Parenting. Hakoda is… deeply concerned, for this son that isn't his, and who might be safer among enemies than with his own father.
Avatar The Last Airbender (Gen). There is a reason this fic has so many comments and kudos. Muffinlance manages to create a whole cast of interesting characters. If you love found family like me, this is the fic for you.
Tracing a Sparrow on Snow-Crested Ground by whisperedstory. Tied up and left to die at the hands of a monster, Jaskier is sure his life is over—but then he's rescued by a group of witchers, led by none other than the White Wolf himself. The witchers offer Jaskier shelter with their group as they travel to Tretogor to negotiate with Redania, and a new home once they return to Kaer Morhen.
Jaskier is hopeful that he will be able to start over in Kaedwen. What he doesn't expect is to end up being married to Geralt as part of the treaty.
The Witcher (Jaskier/Geralt). This fic has all the best Witcher fanfic tropes. Warlord Geralt, arranged marriages, non-human Jaskier. With the smut and hurt/comfort, it was everything I wanted.
The Kids Will Be Alright, Eventually by NotWithThatAttitude. Bakugou is spiraling in the aftermath of Kamino and his friends are starting to notice. He's stubborn, aggressively independent, and less than willing to dig into his past, but after a breakdown that ends with a painfull secret revealed, he starts to get help.
Whether he likes it or not.
Meanwhile, a new kind of villain threatens an uneasy peace following the loss of Allmight. Whispers build as a new narrative slowly takes shape: Hero society needs to change.
Feat. Therapy, Dadzawa, best boy Kirishima, dysfunctional families, healing, growing up, and the mortifying ordeal of being known.
My Hero Academia (Bakugou/Kirishima). The subject matter in this fic can make it a challenge to read. But it is a fantastic exploration of trauma. It has a great amount of Dadwaza and Bakugou growing as a person as well.
Butterfly Effect by Frecklefrog. “Go, Mob, melt it!” screeches Reigen, and Mob extends his hand, already coated with the swirling blue discs of his aura. Only-
Only he can’t exorcise the spirit, because there isn’t one, and the boy is staring at him with wide blue eyes. His hand is glowing the same yellow as the basket.
(in which Teruki meets Mob much, much earlier.)
Mob Psycho 100 (Gen). This was the first MP100 fic I read after finishing the show. I love found family and this one was great. I loved seeing Teru learning to accept help from others and Reigen was a delight.

What, in your opinion, is the worst thing Bakugou's ever done? Because for me it's without a doubt Deku vs Kacchan Part 2. He,
1. Coerced Izuku out of the dorms past curfew
2. Demanded information about his quirk while also belittling him at the same time
3. Demanded a fight when Izuku didn't want one
4. Pushed all of his insecurities onto Izuku and basically forced him to validate them
5. Had the nerve to cry about it like he was the victim
6. Demanded All Might explain why he chose Izuku even though it was none of his goddamn business
7. Didn't even have the decency to admit to Aizawa that he was 100% at fault and that Izuku didn't deserve to be punished
Everything about this episode was awful. I know most will say the suicide baiting, but the narrative isn't on Bakugou's side during that. We're supposed to look at him antagonistically there. Here, we're supposed to feel bad for him even though he's using the power he has over Izuku (Izuku's admiration+ years of being Bakugou's victim and giving into him) to get what he wants. He's still acting like an abuser here and taking advantage of Izuku, but Hori is trying to push us into thinking he's some kind of victim when he isn't
Oh it’s for sure Kacchan vs Deku 2, with Kacchan vs Deku 1 in a distant second.
The suicide baiting was absolutely disgusting but unfortunately it’s a very common thing bullies do. Kacchan vs Deku 1 pushes Katsuki from a a typical bully to an absolutely evil person. Katsuki mentions that he plans on torturing Izuku to the point of near death during that fight, fires an explosion that could’ve killed him, and the only thing that happens is that he gets praised by All Might and is told to grow up by Shota.
You’ve covered why I hate Kacchan vs Deku 2 but I will say that in addition to all that, everyone coddles Katsuki during this moment. In addition, Katsuki’s extra day of suspension works to his benefit because he misses out on an ample opportunity to be humbled by Mirio.

Tumblr media
(Fanfic that I really like by @kitsunefyuu )(strongly recommend)
Something about this mental image of AFO dressing izuku in fancy clothes, like very dear doll, just stuck with me. And I felt like drawing a few of the more feminine outfits since every one of them has some kind of meaning to the story.
Tumblr media
The first more feminine outfit was the one izuku chose specifically when he tried to convince his father to let him go to UA.
"Dad, I want to go back to a real school and make actual friends," Izuku spoke bluntly. Trying his damn hardest to keep himself calm as he asks, and had even prepared himself with his dads favorite outfit. It was a traditional green Hanfu dress with flowers. More than aware it is for women, but it isn't as if it matters in a home where the only company he's allowed is his father.
Absolutely creepy, but in sweet way. As he doesn't care about what he supposed to be wearing and enjoys everything, but at the same time trying to persuade his father to what he wants with it.
Tumblr media
The second outfit I drew was the black dress he wore when he accidentally met his childhood friend. And it escalated quickly to the worst
Maybe Izuku was desperate for some kind of recognition. To gather a fraction of the past that his father took him away from after all these years. That he dug far back to that nickname he hated even if didn’t want to say that name as Kacchan was about to leave, “How about Deku?”
Now that seemed to trigger something and a curiously amused expression showed on Bakugou’s face. The recognition sparked in his eyes as a loud hum escaped him.
“Oh yeah! Deku must explain why you look like a weird doll,” Katsuki said with amusement.
Izuku felt a stab in his chest at the other words.
This happened right after izuku ran away from his dinner with his father. Naturally he was wearing a dress. I can't find the exact quote but I remember it being described as dress with a ribbon. Maybe it was just my imagination, but izuku wearing a dress and looks like a doll, Plus kachan recognizing him by his old nickname just felt very symbolic. Like Deku will never be more than just a doll for others.
Tumblr media
The last image, and the one I liked the most was izuku wearing his school uniform.
"Dad! Can you grab me my uniform!?"
(...)
Izuku doesn't even check what the man brought feeling pretty good right now. Though clearly, he was going to end up late so he just throws it on.
(...)
"Sorry he's just- Well he's excited I have a friend," Izuku noted only to realize Shoto was looking at him up and down. "What? Is something wrong?" Ugh, did he not put on enough makeup? Did he put the uniform on and mess up his hair? Izuku felt nervous at his friend's suddenly very critical gaze wondering if he needs to run back home to fix up-
"You look nice,"
(...)
Though when he arrived at the school Izuku felt like he was getting a LOT more looks than normal. To the point if he was honest he kind of felt almost anxious about it as while attention can be nice it felt more like they were weirded out. Wondering why that is the case, he worked hard on his appearance! Even Shoto said he looked nice, did he miss something? "Hey do I look weird?" Izuku questioned wondering why people were staring knowing his friend would be honest. Shoto glanced around a bit then back at him in confusion before a light bulb seemed to register. Those eyes light up as he finally decides to answer the question.
"Probably because you're wearing the girl uniform?" Shoto questioned. As if he hadn't just revealed the most horrifying thing Izuku could have done. The innocent way his best friend didn't even think to point out the uniform was for a girl.
The betrayal izuku felt. For his father it was simply a joke. For izuku it was world shattering. How he took izuku's trust and played with it.
Shoto, with his pure heart didn't question it.
I reason chose to give izuku white hair even when he supposed to still have his green is because he's under his father's manipulation. From the moment his mother died his father was everything to him and he was everything for hisashi.
And still, he plays with izuku's life like he's some kind of doll. Just because he doesn't see a problem with it. But for izuku it affects everything.

Apologies
Let's take a look at the big apologies in the series. From Todoroki Enji/Endeavor to his family and Katsuki Bakugo/Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight to Midoriya Izuku/Deku.
First, there was a villain out for Midoriya's head and Class A intervened as he was letting him get the shit kicked out of him by mind controlled civilians. This was followed immediately by him trying to flee from his friends as most of them yelled what he means to them and showed the results of their training. Big or small, Midoriya made an impact on everyone in the class.
It wasn't until Midoriya stopped trying to flee that Bakugo spoke up for the first time since the whole scuffle started. Previously, he was still mocking Midoriya.
Bakugo prefaced his apology by providing his perspective for context to his behavior in front of their peers. And he finished with...
Tumblr media
a kind of half-assed bow and a pretty open ended apology.
Shortly after this(when Midoriya was allowed back into UA) he almost immediately went back to his usual behavior, which got called out by two different people who were in the room. The only real change directly after the apology was not calling him 'Deku' anymore, which is now his hero name so there's some mixed opinions about whether or not it's actually more respectful or not.
It's not until the next big fight when they're stalling for time until Midoriya can arrive that Bakugo actually shows some development, when his quirk evolves and subsequently starts destroying his body, he shows some understanding of how Midoriya struggled at the beginning of having a quirk.
This is then cut short by Shigaraki, but I expect it will be resolved eventually, one way or another.
Next, Enji(after losing an arm and nearly getting obliterated by All for One) spent a chase sequence and Touya/Dabi's attempted suicide bombing only thinking about the other heroes/students/civilians that would get caught in the crossfire and his duty as the "Number One Hero" to save lives.
It isn't until Rei, Natsuo, and Fuyumi arrive that his emotions come out. It's more of the same, "you will die, please leave," while fully expecting to die himself. As expected, none of them listen and try instead to cool Touya down with their collective ice quirks, but none of them have really done much quirk training so it isn't slowing him down much, if at all.
Then, Touya detonates... just in time for Shoto to cancel it out with his ice, and while Touya is spitting his anger out at everyone present, we get this
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Enji crawls his way to Touya, who is freezing over, and cries his apologies to all of them. He tells Touya to keep being angry, he calls out the final breaking point that put him on this path to apologize for it.
He apologizes to each of them for what he did in terms that are specific enough for people who are in the know, but too vague for anyone else.
Except for Shoto, who took one hell of a beating from Touya and turned himself into a goddamned meteor to get here, Enji couldn't pin down one thing to apologize for in that moment. Whether he couldn't decide what was the worst or he was just succumbing to his injuries and exhaustion like the rest, in that moment all he could do is cry on the chest of his oldest child and to his youngest child say, "I'm sorry."
What Enji did was objectively worse, but that does not diminish the decade of abuse that Midoriya suffered because of Bakugo.
tl:dr Bakugo's apology felt underwhelming and maybe a little insincere, but if he lives I think he might be able to prove it.
Enji's apology came too late, but there is no doubt that he means it. He's been trying to atone without apologizing because he didn't understand what each of them wanted from him, but after expecting and accepting his death multiple times within a single day, he finally just straight up apologizes.
Now the big question is, who all is gonna live through this?

Note
Yeah I never got the appeal of Mass Murderer Diabolical Mastermind Midoriya. Especially since like 99% of them are because of the day when Bakugou did The Thing and All Might told him he couldn't be a Hero, which first of all, if Midoriya was going to snap, it wouldn't have taken a whole decade. Second, this also means Midoriya goes straight from "Maybe it's because I'm bullied all the time but I think saving people is the greatest thing someone can do" to "I think murdering everyone is cool, actually" in about fifteen minutes.
Yeah it's.
With the whole Katsuki thing Izuku isn't even that bothered by it? Like literally the most he cares about the comment is "Kacchan really shouldn't say that because he'd feel bad if I did end up offing myself." And then just brushes it off and heads home. (not to mention the fact that Izuku's base instinct is to rush in and save Katsuki in a situation where he could've just let his bully die and no one would blame him. Not to mention the nuances of the 'Kacchan' nickname in general).
And yeah the All Might thing like. It sucks and it hurts but the people who write it act like All Might was the one to say the swan dive thing. When in reality he said 'given the nature of being a Hero, especially one like me, it'd be pretty dangerous for a Quirkless person to do this. But if you're wanting to be a Hero to help people, there are other options where you do good work that makes a difference even if you're less in the spotlight."
So yeah when I do think on Izuku doing something where he's not a Hero, even at his darkest in my Vigilante AU type of plot planning, the worst he'd get is having a killcount of people who were determined to be beyond saving.(which is a very hard decision and reserved for people like AfO.)

AMBERRRRRR!!! i am dropping by to wish you a happy may!! it’s been a while 🥺 how are you?? i’m bringing in some tea and coffee 🥹 ☕️🍵 and of course!! some more pretty flowers 🌼🌸
i also have a curious sel question!!! what do you think katsuki would smell like? what’s his go-to cafe order? 🥺
SELLIE!! your flowers are so pretty ty!!!! unfortunately i've been a bit sick lately, but otherwise pretty good 💕 i hope may has been treating you well!
and oh man!!!! what would katsuki smell like?? would it be weird to say i think abt this a lot aslkdfjh? i just love boys who smell naturally nice, and i definitely think he would be one of them. personally, and maybe i'm being a little biased but! i feel like he's not the type to wear cologne very often?? maybe during special events or gatherings? but in general i think he smells like fresh laundry, maybe subtly like his body wash if you get close enough — i think he'd lean towards autumny scents in that regard? apples and cinnamon, or a burning wood??
as for his cafe order? alskdfjk i'm the worst person to ask this, i live in a place with so many cute little cafes but... coffee really just... isn't for me so i've never been to any of them asldkjfh (i hope you still love me 😭). as the queen of trying new things from cafes, what do you think he'd get?? what's your go to??? 💗

I open TikTok and of course this is the first thing that came up
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And it's true. I think we all tend to look past how broken Bakugou Katsuki actually is, and how he's been broken down piece by piece ever since the beginning of the manga. So they say he hasn't gotten any karma for what he said to Izuku? He was literally one of the people who suffered the most in the entire story.
His entire world was flipped upside down, he went through feelings of betrayal when he thought Izuku lied to him his whole life, his own insecurities have been brought forth almost every moment, his ego was beaten down episode by episode, which yeah, we can say he deserved that, but that doesn't mean it wasn't any less painful and that he didn't suffer through all that humiliation and constantly being reminded that he isn't unbeatable, that he's weak.
And he also had his fair share of panic attacks, more than most of the others. He was humiliated and his weakness was shown for the whole world to see when he got kidnapped, and had to experience everyone believing that he could turn into a villain when his whole life was basically about how much he wanted to be a hero. And if we look back at how many times we've seen him cry, which is also more than most of the others, then it's a lot, especially for a person who is supposed to be someone who doesn't cry, who always remains strong. Yet he was the one that always broke down, that had to deal with the most inner turmoil in the span of that one year, which must have been a hell of a hard time of suffering for him after years and years of suppressing those emotions.
In the beginning of the manga, he started off as someone egoistic with a superior complex who would never ever admit that he was wrong, and by the end of it we got someone who apologized out of his own will. For someone like the person that he was, to even consider, yet alone want to apologize, on his own will, without anyone pushing him to do so, is a big fucking thing.
We forget the fact that these children have literally went through hell, emotionally, physically, mentally. They're just CHILDREN. Hell, Bakugo literally died, if that year wasn't traumatic enough for him. He had to experience what it feels like to lose someone important, first with All Might (the fact that he caused it adds even more to it), then losing Deku, then losing his OWN LIFE. And yes, he did lose Deku, because when he was in the hospital, the others literally told him that there's no way of knowing if Deku would even wake up or not. Do you guys have any idea how it would feel to hear THAT about someone you care about? That they might not even wake up? When you haven't even apologized about everything that you have done to him, haven't come clean about your past to him?
Yeah no, shit, I know it must have terrified Bakugo like hell. Then he ended up losing Deku again when Deku left UA to begin his Vigilante Arc. He left without saying goodbye after Bakugo thought he might lose him, now tell me that isn't painful enough as it is.
This guy went through fucking hell, people should stop throwing so much shit on him. He's been broken to the point that he basically became an entire different person than who he was. And I don't care that he told Izuku to jump, because he is not that person anymore, and not just because he apologized. No, that person has been beaten down rough, left broken, alone, confused and in pain, not understanding his own feelings. The person that he used to be was beaten down and left so broken, that he couldn't be built back into the same person anymore. He went through trauma after trauma, went through all kind of emotional turmoil, pain, anguish, shock, humiliation, guilt, remorse, and worst of all, he died, losing his life at just 16 years old.
He came back to life NOT the same person that he was. Not the same heart, not the same feelings. Whether you understand it or not, that guy is not the Bakugou Katsuki that he used to be, and he never will be. All that anger, that shell around his heart has been broken into millions of pieces, leaving only this pure and sensitive soul who has gone through too much pain to comprehend.
Trauma changes you, it makes you become a completely new person. Bakugou Katsuki died in the war, and it's Bakugou Kacchan who came back to life and survived to live on.
