Never believe Russian narratives about Ukraine
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Part I
Ukrainians respect the diversity of their people. All form of love, skin color and religion don't matter to us. We are sincere, loving and courageous people. I recently rid of the shadow ban and took part in sng challenge. And of course I couldn't help but talk about the Russian-Ukrainian war. So I will share with you the songs like of ours and foreign artists and the events that fit them or happened that day. Today - Day 14: Piano Guys - Epiphany I can be creative because I thought that it would not be possible to mention us on the day of the wedding song. Fact: well-armed Ukrainian army - Ukrainians are protected and happier. Yesterday - Day 13: Aerothmith - Dream On How lovely, modern Mariupol was. I miss you. I wish I had taken our photo albums with us from Donetsk in 2014. Only memories remain. Tat picture of the last protest for Ukraine in Mariupol makes me devastatingly sad. Wait a little longer, you'll come back to the Homeland💙💛 Day 12: Asking Alexandria - Someone, Somewhere 10th of the March - Day of the national anthem in Ukraine. And my music taste is relatable too. Because lines "Even though I'm on my own, I know I'm not alone / 'Cause I know there's someone, somewhere praying that I make it home" hit close to home. Day 11: Disturbed - The Sound of Silence I barely see any mention of Nikopol that day. That's upsetting. We must keep reminding the world about Russian war crimes. Day 10: Skladno - Azovstal There's were manifestation about Free Azovstal Defenders in Ukraine and throughout the world. Mariupol has special place in my heart. I spent 10+ years of my life on summer vacation there and in the selo (village) of Berdyanske. Two photoes from there save only in Facebook. Others remained only as memories. Day 9: Tember Blanche - Ти живий (You are alive) & Ницо Потворно - Русні пизда Thanks to AFU, I can listen to our artists and live my life. Support Ukraine in the right way - arm us. Day 7: Straylight Run - Hands in the sky I felt broken 'cause Russia corrupted my second hometown basically and traumatized my old childhood memories. Day 6: Туча (Tucha) - russia is a terrorist state Rescueing operation finally ended in Odesa. Russia again killing as many Ukrainian as they can. But that day their targets were babies and kids. Nothing new but pain our people feel are agonizing. Day 5: Карна - Добрий вечір (Karna - Dobryy vechir) Next day after Russian terrorist attack in Odesa. Death toll have been increased.

Dear Friend of Ukraine, As we approach the end of another year, we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support of United Help Ukraine. Your generosity has been instrumental in our efforts to provide critical aid and support to those affected by the ongoing war in Ukraine.
Thanks to donors like you, we have been able to make a real impact on the ground, from delivering essential supplies to supporting psychological initiatives for children affected by the war. In addition, we were able to bring wounded Ukrainian warriors with the most difficult amputations to receive highly specialized prosthetic treatment in the US.
Meet Gosha Roskha, 31, who is the father of two children, aged 7 and 5, and an amputee. But thanks to you, when he sees his children again, he will be able to embrace them with a new prosthetic arm. He is one of the ten defenders who United Help Ukraine has brought to the Washington, D.C. area for prosthetics and physical therapy with your help. Don't miss Gosha's powerful story on CNN! Hear firsthand about his experiences on the frontlines and his inspiring journey of receiving a prosthetic limb in the United States. Click HERE for an inspiring story of resilience and hope.
Seriously wounded on two separate occasions, Gosha lost his left arm as a result of a mortar blast and a tourniquet left on too long. He was among the survivors who refused to surrender until ordered at Azovstal, a steel plant in Mariupol. Gosha spent a month and a half in Russian captivity in horrible conditions. He was poorly fed, and his wound didn’t heal well. Rot set into the bone at the amputation site, near his left shoulder. Luckily, Gosha was freed in a prisoner exchange, unlike many other Mariupol defenders still remaining in Russian captivity.
Your support has not only enabled us to cover the journeys of heroes like Gosha, but has also served as a lifeline, offering a pathway for them to regain independence after selflessly sacrificing so much on the frontlines. We thank our partner organizations, Maryland Center for Orthotics and Prosthetics, Medstar Union Memorial Hospital, Revived Soldiers Ukraine, and Future for Ukraine, for working with us to transform the lives of these Ukrainian heroes. Additionally, we are tremendously grateful for the United Help Ukraine volunteers who act as drivers, interpreters, hosts, and often tour guides for the amputees as they recover from spiritual and psychological wounds.
“Gosha’s life is still challenging because he’s learning how to use the prosthesis, and it’s hard,” says UHU volunteer Regina Vasko, co-manager of UHU’s Wounded Warrior project along with Olena Bulgakova. “It will take a long time after his return to Ukraine.” Your donations power critical programs like these – from humanitarian aid to medical support and defender initiatives. A donation today ensures we can continue saving lives and aiding the resilient people of Ukraine.  For your end of year gift, stand with Ukraine by making a donation today. Thank you for being a part of our mission to help people and save lives in Ukraine.

Warrior of Azovstal
Niue, an island nation in the South Pacific Ocean, has released a "Warrior of Azovstal" silver commemorative coin with a denomination of $5.
Top World Coins reported that the silver coin commemorates the defenders of Mariupol who resisted the Russians at the steelworks.
The Ukrainian soldiers who resisted at Azovstal are proof that standing up to a powerful aggressor has and will always be right," the website states.
The coin is engraved with a work by the Ukrainian artist Maksym Palenko, "Mariupol Azovstal", which depicts a soldier of the Mariupol garrison in armour.
His helmet seems to be "created" from the metalworks that gave shelter to the soldiers and saved the lives of thousands of people.
"May their heroic feats never be forgotten with this commemorative piece. It’ll surely find a special place in your collection and your heart," the description says.

Me and @cloudofbutterflies92 already had a talk about it. The stereotypes are crazy, the mysoginy is crazy.
The stereotypes about how military women/women in make predominant spaces are supposed to look like is what makes ME a UKRAINIAN person want to commit a crime fr.
Femininity is not something to be ashamed of. And if it's something you shame other people for - you are misogynistic piece of shit.
Misogyny towards feminine women often stems from rigid gender stereotypes and the perception that femininity equates to weakness or inferiority. Women may face discrimination, belittlement, or objectification simply for expressing traditionally feminine traits or interests. This type of misogyny reinforces harmful gender norms and perpetuates inequality by devaluing femininity and the individuals who embody it. It's important to challenge these attitudes and promote acceptance and respect for all expressions of gender identity and presentation.
Let's look at military woman. REAL military women.
1. Alina Mykhailova
Ukrainian volunteer, Armed Forces officer, activist.
September 2016 - June 2017 - paramedic of the "Hospitaliers" medical battalion of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army.
June 2017 - September 2019 - created and managed the "ULF" medical service. Valkyrie UAV operator of the First Separate Assault Company of the Right Sector.
After February 24, 2022, she returned to the front to her unit, mobilized to the Armed Forces.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
2. Yulia Paevska (call sign "Tyra")
A military servicewoman, athlete and volunteer, she was the commander of the Taira Angels unit, a paramedic. She currently holds the position of the Commissioner for Rehabilitation of Combatants.
On March 16, 2022, Yuliya Paevska was detained by fighters of the self-proclaimed "DPR" at a checkpoint near the village of Mangush, when she was helping to evacuate children and women. The Russian propaganda channel NTV featured "Tyra" on the news and even made a documentary about her, describing the woman as a "nationalist who kidnapped children."
Paevska managed to be released from captivity only on June 17, 2022.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. Eugenia Emerald (call sign "Joan of Arc")
Evgenia Emerald with the call sign "Jeanne d'Arc", who serves in the special purpose regiment of the NPU "Safari", became a vivid example of the indomitability and courage of Ukrainian women. When a full-scale war began on February 24, 2022, the woman, without hesitation, left the jewelry business and went to defend her Motherland.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
4. Kateryna Polishchuk (call sign "Bird"/"Ptashka"(ukr))
In the first days of the full-scale invasion, the girl came to Mariupol to save people in the local hospital. When the hospital was bombed, Kateryna, along with others, ended up at the Azovstal plant. On May 19, 2022, "Ptashka" was captured by the Russians after leaving the factory with military personnel.
On September 21, 2022, Kateryna was released from captivity, and on December 3, she received the Order "For Courage" III degree.

You know how they ALL look? HUMAN.
By the way if you have to keep bashing female OCs just because they "like to dress feminine" you are not original

30.07.2022 - 31.07.2022 - Demonstrations against russia’s torture and murder of Ukrainian PoWs
! Various countries ! There is the list of cities near the end of the post, please scroll down !
There was to be the Run For Azovstal event in Kyiv tomorrow, 30.07.2022. Now it is cancelled due to the horrible act of terrorism that russia committed in the occupied Olenivka this morning. Many of Ukrainian prisoners of war, defenders of Azovstal, who were kept there, were murdered by an explosion to cover up the atrocities that russia committed to them earlier. russia then tried to shift responsibility and blame Ukraine for this murder of Ukraine’s own heroes. But we will never forget or forgive russia for its crimes. And we will not let the world forget.
The safety of the defenders of Azovstal was guaranteed by United Nations and International Committee of the Red Cross. Yet the promises of these organizations failed to save the lives of Ukrainian PoWs.
War crimes, torture and murder of the prisoners of war that russia commits demand immediate reaction of the world. The terrorist act in Olenivka must be investigated, and the murderers and butchers - condemned and punished. russia is a terrorist state, and it must be held accountable.
Instead of a marathon in Kyiv, on 30.07.2022 and 31.07.2022 there will be demonstrations held around of the world to condemn russian cruelty, mourn for the victims, show support to Ukraine, and demand the reaction of international organizations (the UN and ICRC) who earlier guaranteed the safety of Ukrainian PoWs.

A bit of a rant from a Ukrainian.
Today is the Ukrainian Independence Day, the day my people cut off the rotten grip of the Soviet Union 31 years ago and became a sovereign country.
And since 6 am the russians are “congratulating” us with air raids, sometimes with as little as 20-minute breaks in between.
(See my screenshots with the on and off times of the air raid alerts, green for “off”, and red for “on”):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These are all the air raid sirens I’ve heard today. And the day isn’t even over yet.
______
I’m starting to get this icky feeling of realization that I’m slowly getting used to it, and that’s not right. No one should ever «get used» to war, or missile strike deaths on the news, or waking up to air raid alerts every day and night.
I am aware there are thousands, millions of people who have it worse than me, so I’m not complaining. I wish no people have to live through this experience at all.
But I do hope for justice. For the occupants to get their share of karma one day. For all the neighboring countries they’ve brought death upon, and the people they have forcefully “liberated”.
———
Anyway, thanks for coming to my ted talk.
Happy Independance Day to 🇺🇦 and my brave, resiliant people.
The light will prevail.
Слава Україні. 🌻🌻

The story of the "Azov" who got out of "Azovstal" in Mariupol DW Ukraine
youtube
Vladyslav, a fighter of the "Azov" regiment, survived the battles for "Azovstal" and was able to get out of Mariupol. He lost his leg and the opportunity to serve in the army. While his brothers are in Russian captivity, it is difficult for Vlad to get used to civilian life.

It's 29th of August and there are still no news about Azovstal. I have seen nothing about how are they, are they alive, were there a "trial" or not and else. I have been thinking about it since 24th of August.

«The sun rises behind the spoil heaps»
In today's post about music, I want to share some stories of our incredible defenders and more. So get ready for some real stories about the men of steel who are among us.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
«Orest» (kztsky - in Twitter) - our "eyes" at Azovstal. In September 2022, more than 200 people returned to the territory controlled by Ukraine from Russian captivity, more than a hundred of them were Azov soldiers. Dmytro ("Orest") Kozatsky also returned then. Before leaving Azovstal, he posted photos about the lives of Mariupol's defenders and allowed them to be distributed while he was in captivity. These photos, taken during the defense of the besieged plant, went viral. His most important mission is to remind us of the Azov prisoners of war. Do not forget about them. Many Azov people have been in captivity for 22 months (!). Song: Skladno - Azovstal
Read this. There are many such unbelievable stories like that.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Song: Fall Out Boy feat. RM - Champion
Lines "If I can live through this, I can do anything" - it's about our prisoners of war.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Russia has taken away another defender for whom aggression, injustice, lies, and hypocrisy were unacceptable. Once again best Ukrainian people get killed while Russians stay unpunished. Where's justice?
Song: Ado - Value
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That's Mariinka and what Russia has done with it. So much pain and grief.
Song: Yarmak - Babylon ("The sun rises behind the spoil heaps" - it's about the symbol of the Donetsk region). I'm on the verge of tears about all the meanings in this song and clip. Urgently recommend watching it. There are English subs. Don't hesitate.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The photo with the hiding statue is mine. That's how Ukrainians save our culture and heritage from Russia in Lviv and all cities of Ukraine. I wish Ukraine would be fully liberated and rebuilt. But it's only possible with the help and support of good people and countries in the democratic world. So I cry out to the world. Please keep spreading our voices and donate to our army and combat medics (savelife.in.ua, prytulafoundation.org, Serhii Sternenko, hospitallers.life, ptahy.vidchui.org and u24.gov.ua).
Song: Eileen - З вогню повстану (Reignite)

AZOVSTAL heroes are back!!!
I’m overwhelmed with emotions😭😭
We were praying for their return and they’re finally HOME! 🙏🙏🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦
The defenders who took the last hit in Mariupol, standing tall and brave for months with no possibility to get backup, they defended the city till the end.
Then months in russian captivity, with no telling if they would ever come back alive.
This is such a precious moment for all Ukrainians.❤️❤️❤️

215 Ukraine POWs have been exchanged for Russians, with 200 of them just for Medvedchuk! 5 Azovstal defenders included, who will remain in Turkey until the end of war under that country's protection, while the rest are heading home to Ukraine.
Still many remain in captivity, but 215 brave souls are coming home and I am grateful for that.
