The sound of Iruka’s voice filled the classroom as he droned on about chakra control, but your attention was divided. On one side of you, Naruto sat fidgeting, tapping his pencil loudly against his desk, clearly uninterested in the lecture. On the other side, Sasuke sat with his usual brooding expression, eyes fixed on the blackboard but occasionally glancing in your direction.
“Psst! (Y/N)!” Naruto whispered, nudging your arm. “Want to skip this and go train later? I can show you my awesome new jutsu!”
Before you could answer, Sasuke’s quiet voice cut through. “You’re distracting her. If you actually paid attention, you might learn something useful.”
Naruto turned to glare at Sasuke. “Oh, shut up, Mr. Perfect. Not all of us are born with a stick up our—”
“Enough!” Iruka slammed his hand on the desk, his patience clearly wearing thin. “Naruto, Sasuke, if you can’t keep it down, you’ll both stay after class and clean the training grounds!”
Naruto pouted but sank back into his seat, muttering under his breath. Sasuke smirked faintly, victorious as always. You sighed, caught in the middle of their endless bickering.
As the class broke for lunch, you found a shady spot under a tree, enjoying the brief moment of peace. But it didn’t last long. Naruto appeared first, holding a slightly charred bento box he had clearly made himself.
“Ta-da!” he exclaimed proudly, holding it out to you. “I made this just for you, (Y/N)! It’s got extra rice balls and—uh, well, just ignore the burnt parts.”
You smiled at his effort, about to thank him, when Sasuke appeared, holding a neatly prepared bento that looked like it had been crafted by a professional chef. He silently handed it to you, ignoring Naruto’s outraged gasp.
“You can’t just show up with a fancy bento and expect her to pick yours!” Naruto shouted, pointing an accusing finger at Sasuke.
Sasuke shrugged, his tone calm. “Why not? It’s better than whatever mess you made.”
Naruto growled, ready to pounce, but you quickly stepped between them. “Guys, it’s fine! I’ll just—” You froze, realizing you couldn’t pick one without upsetting the other.
Before you could decide, Iruka called from the distance. “Naruto! Sasuke! Stop causing a scene and get back to class!”
Reluctantly, they both retreated, glaring daggers at each other.
Later that day, Iruka paired the three of you for sparring practice. Naruto grinned widely, thrilled at the chance to show off.
“Alright, (Y/N), let’s see if you can keep up!” he said, throwing a kunai your way. You dodged easily, smirking.
The match was playful at first, with Naruto trying his best to impress you while you countered his every move. But when Sasuke joined in, the mood shifted. His attacks were precise and calculated, his dark eyes never leaving yours.
Naruto quickly grew frustrated. “Hey, Sasuke! Stop hogging all the attention!”
Sasuke didn’t respond, instead launching another kunai that landed inches from your feet. “Focus, (Y/N). You’ll need to work harder to keep up.”
Naruto, determined not to be outdone, charged in. “I’ll show you who’s the better teammate!” But his footing slipped, and he crashed into you, sending both of you tumbling to the ground.
“Idiot,” Sasuke muttered, pulling you to your feet while glaring at Naruto, who was laughing sheepishly.
The academy’s annual festival was the highlight of the year, and you were excited to enjoy it with your friends. But the moment you arrived, Naruto was by your side, practically glued to your arm.
“Come on, (Y/N)! Let’s play some games! I’ll win you the biggest prize!” he declared, dragging you toward a dart-throwing booth.
Sasuke, who had been silently watching from the shadows, followed closely. When Naruto missed his first few throws, Sasuke stepped in, effortlessly hitting the bullseye every time.
“I wasn’t even trying!” Naruto huffed, crossing his arms as Sasuke handed you the plush fox he’d won.
“Sure you weren’t,” Sasuke replied with a smirk.
The tension between them was palpable, and you tried to lighten the mood. “Why don’t we all go to the food stalls? I heard they have—”
Before you could finish, Naruto grabbed your hand. “Great idea! Let’s go, (Y/N)!”
But Sasuke wasn’t about to let him steal the moment. Grabbing your other hand, he said calmly, “She can decide where she wants to go.”
Caught between them, you laughed nervously. “How about we all just stick together?”
As the festival went on, their possessiveness became more apparent. Naruto insisted on staying by your side at all times, loudly proclaiming that he was “keeping you safe.” Meanwhile, Sasuke kept shooting glares at anyone who so much as looked your way, his silent intensity making people back off without a word.
At one point, a classmate approached you, nervously asking if you wanted to check out the fireworks with them. Before you could answer, Naruto stepped forward, grinning but with a dark edge to his tone.
“Sorry, but she’s already with us. Maybe next time!”
The classmate quickly retreated, and you frowned. “Naruto, that was rude!”
Naruto pouted. “I was just helping! You don’t need anyone else when you’ve got us, right?”
Sasuke added quietly, “He’s right. You should be careful who you trust.”
Their words left a strange feeling in your chest, but you brushed it off, chalking it up to their overprotectiveness.
As the fireworks lit up the night sky, you found yourself standing between Sasuke and Naruto once again. Both boys seemed unusually quiet, their gazes focused entirely on you.
“(Y/N),” Naruto began, his voice softer than usual. “You’re… really important to me, you know? I’ll always protect you.”
Sasuke nodded, his dark eyes piercing yours. “Me too. No matter what happens, I’ll make sure no one hurts you.”
Their words felt heavier than they should have, and for a moment, you wondered if there was more to their feelings than they were letting on. But as they both smiled at you—Naruto’s wide and bright, Sasuke’s faint and reserved—you decided to let it go, enjoying the moment of peace between them.
Little did you know, their rivalry was far from over, and their obsession with you was only just beginning.
The Formation of Team 7
The warm sunlight filtered into the classroom as the academy buzzed with excitement. Today was the day the teams would be announced, and the tension in the air was palpable. Naruto was practically vibrating in his seat, rocking back and forth as he waited for Iruka to call his name.
You were seated between Naruto and Sakura, the two people you were closest to at the academy. Naruto’s boundless energy had always been infectious, and Sakura was like a sister to you—supportive, kind, and always willing to lend a listening ear.
“I hope we get put on the same team,” Sakura whispered, leaning toward you with a hopeful smile. “It’d be so much fun working together!”
You nodded eagerly. “Fingers crossed. I can’t imagine doing this without you.”
Naruto, overhearing your conversation, immediately butted in. “What about me? You’d miss me too, right?”
You laughed softly. “Of course, Naruto. Who else is going to keep us entertained?”
Naruto puffed up his chest proudly, grinning from ear to ear. On your other side, Sasuke scoffed under his breath, his usual stoic demeanor masking the fact that he’d been eavesdropping on your conversation the entire time. Iruka finally called for silence, and the classroom fell into an anticipatory hush.
“For Team 7, we have…” Iruka began, scanning his clipboard. “Naruto Uzumaki…”
“Yes!” Naruto pumped his fist in the air, shooting you a triumphant grin.
“…Sakura Haruno…”
Sakura let out a quiet cheer, glancing at you with hopeful eyes.
“…Sasuke Uchiha…”
Naruto’s grin faltered instantly. “What?! Why do I have to be on a team with that guy?”
Sasuke remained silent, though the faintest smirk tugged at his lips. His gaze briefly flickered toward you.
“And finally…” Iruka continued, “(Y/N) (L/N).”
Your name was barely out of Iruka’s mouth before Naruto shot out of his seat, pointing dramatically at Iruka. “No way! You mean I’m on the same team as (Y/N)?! Best team ever!”
Sasuke gave Naruto a dark look, clearly irritated by his outburst. “Sit down, idiot. You’re embarrassing yourself.”
Naruto glared back at him. “What’d you say, Sasuke?!”
“Enough,” Iruka sighed, rubbing his temples. “Team 7, meet on the roof in 10 minutes to meet your jōnin leader.” The four of you sat in a loose circle, waiting for your sensei to arrive. Naruto sat as close to you as possible, practically leaning into your side, while Sasuke sat a few feet away, arms crossed and glaring at the blond.
Sakura, sensing the tension, leaned over and whispered, “Looks like you’ve got two shadows now.”
You chuckled nervously, brushing it off. “They’re just excited. It’s our first day as a team, after all.”
Naruto suddenly turned to you with a determined expression. “(Y/N), you’re gonna stick with me during missions, right? I’ll protect you no matter what!”
Before you could respond, Sasuke cut in. “Don’t make promises you can’t keep. She’ll need someone reliable.” His dark eyes locked onto yours. “I’ll make sure you’re safe.”
Naruto bristled, standing up and pointing at Sasuke. “What’s that supposed to mean?! I’m plenty reliable!”
“Quiet down,” Sasuke said coldly, “before you scare off our sensei.”
Naruto lunged forward, and you quickly grabbed his sleeve to stop him. “Guys, come on. Can we try to get along for at least one day?”
Sasuke’s gaze softened slightly at your words, though he didn’t say anything. Naruto pouted but reluctantly sat back down.
Moments later, Kakashi appeared, looking as uninterested as ever. “Hmm… Team 7. You look lively.”
Naruto immediately stood up. “Kakashi-sensei! We’re ready to take on any mission! Just give us something cool—like fighting bandits or finding treasure!”
Kakashi raised an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed. “We’ll start with introductions. Your name, your likes, your dislikes, and your dreams for the future.”
One by one, you went around the circle. Naruto’s introduction was loud and full of ambition, proclaiming his dream to become Hokage. Sakura’s was sweet but clearly focused on her hopes of becoming a strong kunoichi.
When it was Sasuke’s turn, he gave his usual curt response, speaking of revenge and his desire to grow stronger. But you couldn’t help but notice the way his gaze lingered on you as he spoke, as if silently adding and to protect you to his goals.
Finally, it was your turn. You spoke about your dreams of becoming a great ninja, your love for your friends, and your desire to make a difference. Naruto and Sasuke both hung onto your every word, though their reactions couldn’t have been more different—Naruto beamed with pride, while Sasuke’s expression grew more serious, as if silently vowing to support your dream. Kakashi’s first test as your sensei was a challenge: steal the bells from him before noon. Naruto was overly eager, rushing in headfirst and getting caught in a trap almost immediately.
“Help me, (Y/N)!” he called, hanging upside-down from a tree.
You sighed, running to help him down. Meanwhile, Sasuke watched from the shadows, his gaze narrowing as he saw Naruto clinging to you once he was free.
“Let’s focus,” you said, trying to keep the team on track. “We need to work together.”
Naruto nodded, but as soon as you turned to make a plan, he shot a smug grin at Sasuke. “See that? (Y/N) saved me first. Guess she knows who’s more important.”
Sasuke’s eyes darkened, and before you could intervene, he stepped out of the shadows. “If you keep holding her back, we’ll never pass this test.”
The two boys started bickering again, and Sakura groaned, throwing her hands in the air. “Why are you two like this? (Y/N), you have the patience of a saint.”
You laughed softly. “They just need time to figure things out.” Despite the chaos, the four of you managed to pass Kakashi’s test through teamwork—though it was clear that Sasuke and Naruto’s idea of “teamwork” mostly revolved around trying to outshine each other for your attention.
As you walked home with Sakura, she teased you about the boys’ antics. “They’re both so obvious, it’s almost funny. I mean, they couldn’t be more different, but the one thing they agree on is you.”
You shook your head, smiling. “They’re just being protective. I’m sure they’ll settle down once we get used to working together.”
But deep down, you couldn’t shake the feeling that this was only the beginning of something much more complicated.
Title: Awakening Shadows
After the land of waves missions you and team 7 are notified for the chunin exams
The Forest of Death was eerily silent, the oppressive atmosphere making every sound feel like a threat. Team 7 had been progressing cautiously, but Orochimaru’s sudden attack left the team in chaos. Naruto had collapsed after Orochimaru’s monstrous power drained the Nine-Tails’ chakra from him, leaving him unconscious. Sakura knelt beside him, frantically shaking him to wake him up, while you and Sasuke stood ready to protect them.
But the fight wasn’t over.
The Sound Ninja—Zaku, Dosu, and Kin—arrived shortly after Orochimaru’s departure, their sights set on finishing what the snake-like man had started.
“Give us your scroll, and maybe we won’t hurt you too badly,” Zaku sneered, cracking his knuckles.
“We’re not handing over anything,” you said firmly, stepping in front of Naruto and Sakura. “You’ll have to go through me first.”
Sasuke glanced at you, his jaw tightening. “Don’t try to be a hero. This isn’t the time.”
“And just let them hurt Naruto and Sakura?” you shot back. “Not a chance.”
The Fight Begins
Kin smirked, twirling senbon needles between her fingers. “Brave, aren’t you? Let’s see how long that lasts.”
The three Sound Ninja attacked simultaneously. Zaku unleashed a powerful air blast that sent debris flying, forcing you and Sasuke to dodge. Dosu charged at you with his gauntlet, the vibrations from his soundwaves causing your ears to ring painfully.
You gritted your teeth, dodging his attacks while keeping yourself positioned between him and Naruto. Sakura tried to help by throwing kunai, but Kin intercepted them easily, mocking her with a cruel laugh.
“Is this all you’ve got?” Kin taunted, sending a wave of needles your way.
You barely managed to block most of them with your kunai, but one needle grazed your shoulder, leaving a shallow cut that stung painfully.
“(Y/N)!” Sakura called out, panic evident in her voice.
“I’m fine!” you yelled back, your focus never wavering. “Just stay with Naruto!”
The fight dragged on, and exhaustion was beginning to set in. Sasuke managed to hold his own against Zaku, but Dosu’s soundwaves were relentless. You kept deflecting attack after attack, determined to protect Naruto’s unconscious form and Sakura, who was doing her best to guard him.
But then it happened.
Zaku, growing frustrated with Sasuke, redirected his attention to you. He launched a powerful air blast in your direction, catching you off guard. You tried to dodge, but the force of the attack sent you flying into a tree.
Your body hit the trunk with a sickening thud, and you crumpled to the ground, blood trickling from your forehead.
“(Y/N)!” Sakura screamed, running toward you.
You struggled to push yourself up, but your vision was blurry, and your limbs felt heavy. Kin smirked, walking toward you with another handful of needles.
“Looks like you’re out of the fight,” she said mockingly.
Sasuke Awakens
The sight of you injured broke something inside Sasuke. The fear he had felt moments ago was swallowed by a searing rage, and the curse mark on his neck began to burn.
“Stop,” he growled, his voice low and menacing.
Kin turned to him, raising an eyebrow. “What’s wrong, Uchiha? Finally realizing you’re outmatched?”
But Sasuke wasn’t the same. The black markings of the curse spread across his skin, his Sharingan spinning violently. He stepped toward Kin, his movements unnervingly calm and deliberate.
“You hurt her,” he said coldly. “You won’t get another chance.”
Before Kin could react, Sasuke vanished in a blur of speed. He appeared behind her, grabbing her wrist and twisting it until a sickening crack echoed through the clearing. She screamed in pain, dropping her needles as she fell to her knees.
Zaku and Dosu moved to attack, but Sasuke was faster. He dodged Zaku’s air blast with ease, landing a devastating kick to his stomach that sent him crashing into a tree.
Sasuke’s Wrath
Dosu hesitated, his confidence faltering as Sasuke turned his glowing red eyes on him. “You think you’re strong?” Sasuke taunted, his voice filled with malice. “Let me show you what real strength looks like.”
Sasuke’s punches and kicks came with brutal precision, each one designed to hurt. The curse mark’s power amplified his movements, making him faster and stronger than ever before.
“Sasuke!” Sakura cried out, fear in her voice. “That’s enough! You’re going to kill them!”
But Sasuke didn’t stop. He grabbed Zaku by the collar, slamming him into the ground. “You think you can just hurt her and walk away?” His voice was venomous, dripping with rage.
“Stop!” Your weak voice broke through the chaos, drawing Sasuke’s attention.
The Aftermath
Sasuke froze, his gaze snapping to you. The markings on his skin began to recede as he saw the way you looked at him—not with fear, but with concern.
“(Y/N),” he murmured, his voice softening.
Naruto groaned, finally starting to stir. He sat up, rubbing his head. “What… what happened?”
“You missed all the fun,” Sakura said bitterly, helping you sit up. “Sasuke went berserk.”
Naruto blinked in confusion before his eyes landed on you. “Hey, (Y/N), are you okay? You’re bleeding!”
“I’m fine,” you assured him, though your voice was weak. “Just a little banged up.”
Sasuke walked over to you, his expression unreadable. Without a word, he crouched down and carefully helped you to your feet.
“You shouldn’t have pushed yourself so hard,” he said quietly, his tone tinged with guilt.
“And you shouldn’t have lost control,” you shot back, though your words lacked any real bite.
Naruto crossed his arms, glaring at Sasuke. “What’s your problem, huh? You didn’t have to go all crazy like that!”
“She got hurt because of us,” Sasuke said, his gaze darkening. “That’s my problem.”
Moving Forward
The Sound Ninja retreated, their injuries forcing them to flee. Team 7 regrouped, though the tension between Naruto and Sasuke was palpable.
As the group rested, Sakura tended to your wounds, her hands shaking slightly. “You really scared us back there,” she admitted softly.
“I’m sorry,” you said, offering her a faint smile. “But I couldn’t let them hurt you or Naruto.”
Sasuke sat nearby, his eyes fixed on you. He didn’t say anything, but the intensity of his gaze spoke volumes.
Naruto, sitting on your other side, huffed. “Next time, let me do the protecting, okay? You’re not allowed to get hurt again!”
You chuckled weakly. “I’ll try, but I can’t make any promises.”
Sasuke’s fists clenched at your words, his resolve hardening. He wouldn’t let this happen again. No one would hurt you—not while he was around.
Shattered Bonds
Sasuke’s Departure
The night was eerily quiet, the moon casting a soft light on the streets of Konoha. You, Naruto, and Sakura were gathered near the village gates, your hearts heavy with the unspoken knowledge that Sasuke was about to leave.
Naruto had been acting unusually withdrawn all day, his usual enthusiasm replaced by an anxious, desperate energy. He knew something was wrong, and his instincts had been right. Sasuke had been slipping away from them for days now, becoming more distant, more obsessed with his own power.
“I’m going to find him,” Naruto had said earlier, determination in his voice. “I won’t let him leave.”
But now, standing at the gates of the village with the moonlight casting long shadows over the ground, the truth hit harder than any of you expected. Sasuke stood before you, his back turned as he prepared to leave the village.
“Why, Sasuke?” Naruto asked, his voice cracking. “Why are you doing this?”
Sasuke didn’t turn around. “I have nothing left here, Naruto.”
“No!” Naruto shouted. “You have us. You’re our friend!”
Sasuke’s eyes glinted coldly. “I never needed friends. I need power. I need to avenge my clan.”
Your heart twisted as you looked at Sasuke, but you knew what was coming. He wasn’t the same person anymore. The Sasuke you knew was slipping away, and in his place was someone who no longer cared about the bonds that had once meant so much.
“I won’t let you do this,” you whispered, your voice shaking.
Sasuke’s eyes flicked to you for a brief moment. “You wouldn’t understand.”
The Retrieval Mission
The mission to retrieve Sasuke was like a cruel echo of everything you had hoped to avoid. You, Naruto, Sakura, and the rest of the retrieval team set out immediately after Sasuke left, tracking his movements through the forest as he made his way toward Orochimaru’s lair.
Naruto was determined, but you could see the fear in his eyes. He hadn’t given up on Sasuke, but he was struggling to hold on to hope. You, on the other hand, felt an odd sense of dread. Something told you that this mission wouldn’t end in the way you hoped.
When you finally encountered Sasuke, the confrontation was nothing like you imagined. The anger and betrayal in Naruto’s voice was a sharp contrast to Sasuke’s cold, indifferent demeanor.
“I’m not going back with you,” Sasuke said, his Sharingan flickering ominously. “This is my path.”
“Your path?” Naruto shouted, his fists shaking with rage. “You’re going down the wrong one, Sasuke! You’re my friend!”
Sasuke’s lips curled into a dark smile, his eyes narrowing. “You don’t understand. You’ll never understand.”
The Fight
The battle that ensued was brutal. Naruto and Sasuke clashed in a whirlwind of taijutsu and ninjutsu, each blow fueled by years of unspoken rivalry and unresolved emotions. You and Sakura fought beside Naruto, doing everything you could to hold off Sasuke’s devastating attacks. But you could see it: Sasuke wasn’t holding back. He was going to do whatever it took to sever the ties that bound him to the village, even if it meant hurting his friends.
You darted in to protect Naruto during a particularly dangerous moment, stepping in front of him when Sasuke launched a devastating Chidori. The electricity crackled through the air, but you were too close, and the shock sent you crashing to the ground.
“Sasuke!” Naruto yelled, horrified. “What the hell is wrong with you?!”
Sasuke looked at you for a long moment, his gaze cold. “I warned you. This is my decision.”
Then, in a move that sent chills through your bones, Sasuke launched a full-force Chidori at Naruto, knocking him back with devastating force. You screamed, rushing to his side to make sure he was okay. But you knew, deep down, that Sasuke wasn’t going to stop until you were all broken—until the bonds that connected you were shattered.
The Knockout
The fight raged on, with Sasuke effortlessly overwhelming everyone. It wasn’t long before you found yourself facing him alone. You tried to push through, using everything you had left to stand your ground, but Sasuke was too strong, too fast.
You threw everything you could at him—chakra-infused attacks, taijutsu, anything you could use to stop him—but Sasuke’s Sharingan saw through your every move. He was methodical, precise. Every strike was calculated to disable, not to kill, but you could feel the anger in his blows. He was angry at the village, angry at his past, angry at everything.
But when he finally delivered the finishing blow, it wasn’t with the intention to kill. No, Sasuke wanted something far worse: he wanted to break you.
The punch landed with sickening force, and everything went black.
In the Hospital
When you woke, the familiar scent of antiseptic filled the air. You blinked, disoriented, as you tried to sit up. The pain in your head was unbearable, but your vision slowly cleared as you realized you were in the hospital.
“(Y/N),” a voice whispered. It was Naruto, sitting beside you, his eyes red from crying. “Thank God you’re awake. We were so worried.”
You tried to speak, but your throat was dry. It took a moment for you to find your voice. “Naruto… Sasuke…”
“Don’t worry about him,” Naruto said, his voice cold and hard. “We failed. We couldn’t bring him back. But I’m not giving up. I’ll bring him back… no matter what.”
Your heart ached for him. He was doing everything he could, but it wasn’t enough. Sasuke had slipped too far into darkness.
“You have to rest,” Naruto continued, his hand gently gripping yours. “You’re gonna be okay. I won’t let him hurt you anymore.”
You squeezed his hand weakly, but your mind was elsewhere, filled with the haunting realization that Sasuke’s departure wasn’t just the end of a friendship—it was the beginning of something far more dangerous. The bonds between you, Naruto, and Sasuke were breaking, and you didn’t know if you could ever fix them again.
The night was still, and the weight of Sasuke’s actions pressed heavily on your heart. You had been knocked down, but the fight wasn’t over. You would keep fighting—whether to bring Sasuke back or to protect the people you cared about, you didn’t know. But one thing was certain: the future was uncertain, and the path ahead would be filled with more pain.
Sasuke’s Obsession
Far away, hidden in the shadows, Sasuke watched the village from a distance. His eyes, though cold and distant, burned with an obsession. He had left the village, but he wasn’t done with you or Naruto.
They would never escape his reach.
He would break them all—if not with his power, then with his presence. You, Naruto… none of you would ever truly be free.
And he would make sure of it.
Timeskip to shippiden before war arc
The Uneasy Night:
The night was unsettlingly quiet. You’d just returned from a long mission, and the exhaustion weighed heavily on you. The evening was meant to be a peaceful one—just you, finally alone in your room. You had no idea that the night would take a dangerous turn.
As you entered your room, you noticed the faintest creak of the door. You froze. Your heart skipped a beat, and before you could react, it swung open, revealing none other than Sasuke. His expression was colder than you’d ever seen, but there was something else—something darker that made the air feel heavy.
“Sasuke?” you breathed, taking a step back. “What are you doing here?”
He didn’t answer right away, stepping into your room with an unsettling calm. The door clicked shut behind him, and you felt an immediate sense of dread settle in the pit of your stomach.
“I couldn’t stand it anymore,” Sasuke said quietly, his voice tinged with something unfamiliar. There was a dark, possessive edge to it, like a quiet storm building up inside him.
You instinctively took another step back, trying to keep your distance. “What do you mean?” you asked, trying to keep your voice steady.
His eyes locked onto you, unreadable and intense. “You’ve been avoiding me, (Y/N). You’ve been avoiding us,” he said, each word feeling like a weight pressing against you.
Before you could respond, his presence grew closer, and without warning, Sasuke reached out and grabbed your wrist. The force of it caught you off guard. “Let go,” you demanded, but your voice trembled as you tried to pull away, feeling the panic rise in your chest.
But Sasuke’s grip tightened. His eyes bored into yours, and you saw something more dangerous than usual. “I won’t let you leave. Not again,” he muttered, the words laced with something darker.
Just as you were about to protest, the door to your room opened once more. This time, Naruto stood there, but his usual energetic presence was replaced by a quiet, ominous tension. His bright blue eyes flicked from Sasuke to you, taking in the scene in front of him with an unreadable expression.
“Sasuke,” Naruto growled, stepping inside. His voice had lost its usual lightheartedness, replaced with something heavier, possessive. “What the hell do you think you’re doing?”
Sasuke didn’t flinch. “She’s ours, Naruto,” Sasuke said simply, his voice cold, almost final. His hand remained firmly around your wrist, keeping you close. His eyes never left yours, a dangerous gleam flickering behind them. “She just doesn’t know it yet.”
The words sent a chill down your spine, a knot tightening in your stomach. You tried to pull away, but Sasuke’s hold was unyielding, and you could feel Naruto’s gaze burning into the back of your head.
“I don’t know what’s going on with you two, but this isn’t right!” you exclaimed, your voice rising in panic. “Let go of me!”
But Sasuke only stepped closer, his face inches from yours now. You could feel the heat from his body, and his presence seemed to fill the entire room. “You’re not going anywhere,” Sasuke whispered, the words like a command more than a plea.
Suddenly, you felt a shift in the air. Before you could react, Naruto was behind you, his hands landing gently on your shoulders. The warmth of his touch contrasted sharply with the coldness of Sasuke in front of you, but the closeness of both boys was suffocating. Naruto’s grip on your shoulders tightened, pulling you back against him.
You gasped, your heart racing in your chest. It felt like you were caught in the middle of something dangerous, something you couldn’t control. You could feel the heat of both boys as they surrounded you, closing you in.
“Naruto, please—” you began, but your words died in your throat when you felt the unmistakable pressure of Sasuke’s hands on either side of your face. His fingers brushed against your skin in an almost tender way, but it felt like a dark, possessive gesture. His eyes bore into yours, an intensity in them that made you feel like you were losing yourself.
“I told you,” Sasuke whispered, his voice low and dangerous, “You belong with us. You’ll understand eventually.”
The air seemed to grow thicker, and you could feel the overwhelming tension between Sasuke and Naruto, both of them pulling you in their direction. You struggled, your breath quickening. “Stop this!” you cried, pushing against Naruto’s chest. But he didn’t move. His grip on you only tightened as if to hold you in place.
“We can’t stop now,” Naruto’s voice was dangerously soft, his breath hot against your ear. “You don’t know what you want, (Y/N). But we do.”
Sasuke leaned in closer, brushing his lips against your forehead in a gesture that should’ve been comforting, but instead, it felt possessive—like he was marking you as his. “You’ll be ours, (Y/N). We’ll make you understand.”
You tried to step back, but the weight of both of them, their combined presence, made it impossible. You were trapped between them, neither of them letting go. The intensity in their eyes was unmistakable—the obsession was starting to show, and you could feel it wrapping around you like a vice.
“Get off me!” you shouted again, your voice cracking with the strain of trying to break free. But they only exchanged a glance, one that spoke volumes of something far darker than friendship.
“Do you think you can escape us?” Sasuke asked, his voice colder than before. His hands slid down your neck, not in affection, but in dominance, as though he were asserting control. “We’re already inside your head.”
Naruto’s grip on your shoulders became a little less gentle. His lips grazed your ear as he whispered, “You’ll see. Soon enough, you’ll understand.”
You didn’t know what to do. You were trapped—caught between them, the weight of their possessiveness and obsession too overwhelming to ignore. You could feel yourself slipping further into their world, where escape seemed impossible
With Naruto pressed against your back in the back of you he starts sloppily kissing you all over the place he then starts kissing your neck causing you to let out small whimpers with you being distracted Naruto then grabs your headband tossing it to Sasuke. Sasuke then wraps the headband around your eyes dragging you in darkness. With your stubbornness you start fighting and kicking. “Let me go! Get off of me!” Sasuke getting tired of your fussing He then commands Naruto to grab your arms tightly. Causing you to lean more into Naurto chest.
“Wait!- please don’t do this it’s other ways we could work this out” Sasuke then tusks shaking his head no “Just be quiet and let us handle this before we cover your useless mouth next.” Feeling helpless tears start coming your down cheeks Naruto then comforts you. “Don’t be so harsh on her Sasuke kun you’re gonna scare her.” Sasuke then looks up at him “Don’t be harsh my ass she needs to stop moving around so much.” Sasuke then takes your clothes off immediately opening your legs.
Never in your life would you expect Sasuke and Naruto to go down on you like this. “S-Sasuke!” You managed to moan out. Your voice was very tired out from all that screaming you did with Sasuke and Naruto.
Your legs wrapped around his head into a tight headlock. Your grip on Sasuke hair tightening and getting even more tighter. But that wasn’t only thing getting tighter, with Naruto pressing his finger into your butthole you could feel the intense pleasure. “Damn shes sensitive!” Naruto said struggling to hold you down with your sensitive self from pleasure. Your core was burning, his tongue flicking up n down your clit while Naruto finger continues to go into your hole sloppily, while Sasuke lips strokes sensually.
N-Naruto, Sasuke, this is becoming to much!-“ You cried out tryna bite down your lips. Tears were coming out your eyes in a rush, It shouldn’t be feeling this good.
“Y’all gonna make me- Stop Sasuke, stop Naruto please!” You choked out Your last straw was when Naruto was shoving his finger into your hole curling it hit your sweet spot. To make it more Intense Sasuke then bites your clit as your legs loosens around his head. You saw him smirk. When you came squirting against them but no that DIDNT make him stop. Sasuke spent 0 time lapping all your juices up. Naruto then smiled down at Sasuke, “Anther round?” Sasuke then looks up and goes back down on the reader giving Naruto the signal to continue. Naruto then adds another fingers causing you overstimulation.
Finally sasuke then showed emotion, “You’d die for us isn’t that right Reader?” He chuckled “Cause you telling us to stop but your creaming and wetting around us. And fuck to be honest I’d die since the beginning.”
You were finally catching your breath before he dived right back. You let a loud yelp as you pulled his hair once again. “Guy-guyyysss!!” You resorted religiously

Sasuke 💕
How would he feel about creampies?
He likes them a lot, but he's sooooo embarrassed by that.
(Which is kind of a shame, because damn does he look stunning with a facial 🫣)
Anyway, he's one of those omegas that's kind of possessive over your cum. Like... it needs to be inside him because that's where it belongs?? Obviously??
He does not say this out loud though, because he's embarrassed.
(It's okay, Sasuke, liking creampies came free with being a mammal babe, chill 😭)
He gives them an 8/10
What does he like about them?
Definitely the heat. The rush of warmth inside him makes him feel absolutely giddy.
But other than that, I'm not sure he could articulate why, it just feels like the right way to end things.
You couldn't really say why you decided to tease Sasuke.
Maybe your combined scents hanging heavy in the air was bringing out impulses that you normally had enough self-control to resist. Maybe Sasuke was just too cute to not tease every now and then.
You playfully nipped at one of the ankles that was resting on your shoulder, delighting in Sasuke's half-aborted gasp.
Or maybe, and this was the accurate answer if you were being honest with yourself, you had a theory about your mate to test.
You bent over a little more, grateful that Sasuke's flexibility was more than enough to accommodate you. The new angle pushed you even deeper into your mate and you both let out pleased groans. You had to take a deep breath before you could continue your thrusts.
This position, called the snail amusingly enough, was a new feature in yours and Sasuke's intimate lives, but ever since that fateful day two weeks ago when you had first tried it, Sasuke had demanded it every time. Even if you started out in a different position, he would somehow manoeuvre you both into the snail before the night was over.
You had already figured out that he liked the increased depth this position allowed, but you had a sneaking suspicion that his new obsession wasn't only about where your thrusts could hit. Hence why you were going to do a little teasing to test your theory.
"I'm close darling," you panted, running a hand up and down his outer thigh a few times. "Seeing as we're both tired and clean up can be a bitch, do you want me to pull out?"
You got to watch the exact moment when what you said sank in. Sasuke's face twisted in offended displeasure and his upper lip curled like he was going to snarl.
"No," he said shortly. His voice was incredibly firm and steady for someone currently being fucked. You had to work to hide your smile.
"Are you sure? Because-"
This time he really did snarl. It ripped out of him before you had finished speaking and you could have sworn you saw a flash of red in his eyes. Before you had a chance to look closer though, he kicked both of his legs off of your shoulders and tightened them in a vice grip around your waist, pulling your pelvis firmly flush against his.
You flailed for a moment as your balance shifted. Your arms fell down on either side of his head and you found yourself in something closer to the missionary position. Sasuke was glaring at you.
You knew it! Part of why he liked that position so much was because of how deep the creampie would be when you were finished. You couldn't stop the dopey grin from appearing on your face as you thought about how cute he was.
You didn't call him out (because you knew full well he'd be so embarrassed that it would end your night right there), but you did apologise, promise to cum inside him, and then let him manoeuvre you back into the snail position.
Too. Damn. Cute.

Hii! Can I request a Kakashixreaderxobito fic where the reader is helping Obito “re enter” society and they basically become best friends( but Kakashi starts to feel weird about it because he actually fell for the reader too (but refuses to accept love because duh) ya know, some angst to get through the week 🕺 I hope that makes sense hahaha thank youuu so much! 🫶
Requests are open! (Request rules)
Part. 1, Part. 2
A/N: This is one of my longest works I’ve ever made tee hee. I really hope you enjoy!! (Sorry it seems a little rushed :( )
Summary: Obito, after surviving the war was allowed back into the village. You made it your mission to make sure he gets completely rehabilitated. However, a certain someone gets jealous at the loss of attention.
Pairing: Obito x reader x kakashi
⋅───⊱༺ ♰ ༻⊰───⋅
It was a process. Everything that came after the war was a process. Great ninjas were lost, and some were found. Heartbreaks and heartwarmths were felt by all the people who were affected by this dreadful event. However, they sought to move forward, and push the formidable thoughts away. Because there was no time for regret, but only determination to bring back the villages—the families that were caught in the hellfire.
You had thankfully survived the war right along with some of your comrades. You had lost some to the Ten Tailed beast, but you knew the only way to honor their lives was to remember them for the outstanding ninjas they were. They had fought their final battle alongside you, and it was time for them to rest as the brave heroes they were. Your heart had been shattered by everything that had occurred—the deaths and the revelations. The revelation of the man who seemed like the spitting image of a boy you once knew. A kind, sweet boy that strived to become the Hokage. A boy with dreams so big, he’d do anything to achieve them. Obito Uchiha.
It shattered you to see who he had become, and why he had become this new person. It hurt how he didn’t think of himself as Obito Uchiha, but as someone else. He lived as someone else. It broke you a little, because you couldn’t wrap your head around this. How could this man—the boy you once admired when you were both at the academy—become so heartless. You couldn’t understand it. However, as if the universe was trying to put the pieces back in place, Obito had a change of heart. You thank Naruto for this—you didn’t know how the boy did it, but he always managed to get into people’s hearts. And just like Sasuke, Obito was welcomed—with very hesitant open arms, back into the leaf village.
Of course, this wasn’t an easy process. There were still people who didn’t trust him, and wanted nothing to do with him. It was a hard decision to make, but everyone deserves a second chance. So, the decision was made. He would be welcomed back to the village on the conditions of having someone watch him at all times—or as they called it—being under supervision. This was, to Obito, reasonable. He had been one of the main causes of the war, so the least he could do was accept this with a good heart. The difficult part was searching for someone who would actually agree to watch him. They needed a strong ninja. One that could put Obito in his place if he ever did anything remotely threatening. They thought Kakashi would’ve been the perfect candidate, but he was now the Hokage.
However, they never expected you to volunteer. You were a great ninja. Strong, smart, truthful. You were fit for the job, sure, but they were hesitant to just let you supervise him. But, after some convincing, you were allowed to take Obito under your wing, and trust me, it was a hard process. This man had been socially secluded. He was hated by most of the villagers, and he could see it. Anytime he walked down the roads of Konoha, the people would glare and snarl at him. He was a monster to them, and he knew that. He was difficult to crack open. I mean, did you really expect him to be just like he was when he was a kid? Of course not, you knew better than that.
You would always notice how his eyes landed on the ground, and he walked with his head low. You also knew he was slightly embarrassed of his scars. They were permanent proof of everything that had happened since the beginning. How could you get him used to society again? Had you volunteered to do this with blind eyes?
⋅───⊱༺ ♰ ༻⊰───⋅
“Are you hungry?” You asked as you searched around in the kitchen. You didn’t think the ‘have him under your supervision at all times’ rule was going to be this strict. I mean, he was living with you now. It’s been about two weeks since he’s been in your house, and he’s still tense. The unfamiliar atmosphere was just… not easy to get used to. At least for him. He wasn’t used to people, or kindness, or just… this.
“No,” he mumbled while he sat tensely on the dining chair. He looked like a black dot on a white sheet of paper. He didn’t quite fit in anywhere. You’ve tried to get him to speak more, but the most you get out of him a day is a few polite sentences. That’s it.
You frown, looking back at him as he looks out the window, “well you have to eat something. You can’t just go without eating for long hours,” you say as you lean on the counter, “how about we get some ramen, I bet you’d—,”
“I don’t want to go out,” he quickly cut you off, his head snapping towards you. Although the action might’ve seemed rude, his tone was soft, and… tired. He genuinely didn’t want to go out. Not that it surprises you. This isn’t the first time he’s refused to leave the house.
You sigh and rub your face, not out of frustration, but because you were thinking of a way to convince him, “I know that you don’t like going out—I understand, but you’ll make no progress being stuck in here with me,” you look at him to see a reaction, but his face still held that frown you hated to see. “I mean, sure, you can stay here if you want to, but you already know I’m not good at conversation. I’m pretty boring,” you chuckle, your attempts to lighten the mood were pretty bad.
You walk over to the dining table and sit across from him, crossing your legs and looking out the window, “you’ll have more fun outside than in here. Unless you want me to bore you with some of my life stories,”
His brow was raised with curiosity, his interest being peeked, “Maybe not,” he says and sits a little straight, his body turning to face you. You were surprised at this, just a little. He had never made an effort to keep the conversation going. He usually just stayed quiet or gave dry responses.
“Oh come on, you definitely don’t want to hear that,” you chuckle nervously, but his eye never left yours. “We don’t know that,”
“Okay then…,” you pause for a moment before continuing what you were going to say, “I’ll tell you about a few things, and if you're not bored out of your mind, we can stay here for the rest of the day. If you are, however, we’re taking a walk,” you say, although you knew that even if he was fed up with your blabbering, he’d still prefer that over going out. With a nod, he agreed to your offer and listened attentively.
⋅───⊱༺ ♰ ༻⊰───⋅
Hours had passed since the offer. It turns out, you weren’t really bored at all. At least, in his eyes. You two hadn’t spoken since his ‘death’ so he had missed out on a lot of things. It was interesting to hear all of the stories you had. You were… cool. He thought. Yeah, you weren’t half as bad as he thought you were, no offense. He caught himself wanting to know more, nodding and interrupting you sometimes to just ask about certain things. To you, this was a massive win! He seemed to be getting used to you, and he was warming up a little.
“So you teach?” He asks, amusement laced his voice, “what? Is that really absurd?” You raise a brow, crossing your arms slightly while he gently waved his hand over his face, “No, no, I just remember you as a bad teacher,”
“A bad—excuse me?” You gasp with fake offense, which made him crack a smile. Your heart almost stopped because this was the first time he smiled since he got here. “I’m just saying, remember that time I asked you to teach me about a specific Jutsu?” He asks and you nod your head, “well, I have great memories of you shaking your head in disappointment and telling me I was doing it all wrong,” he looks at you and almost cracks a chuckle,
“Okay, I was young alright? I didn’t have the patience I have now,” you chuckle and shake your head, “so, for your information, I’m a very good teacher,”
He made an expression that screamed ‘suuuure’, which made you laugh, “oh, come on, don’t look at me like that,”
He shrugs, “I’ll believe that when I hear it from your students,” he says, not expecting anything to come from it, but a lightbulb had just been lit in your mind, “Alright, then let’s go talk to them,”
His eye suddenly widens as you say this, “what?” He watches you as you stand up and grab your keys. “Lets go talk to them so you see what a good teacher I am,” you say with your hands on your hip.
“I— I didn’t really mean it like that. It was just a joke—,”
“Joke or not, you deserve to meet them. Come on, they’ll love you,”
⋅───⊱༺ ♰ ༻⊰───⋅
With a lot of convincing, you had gotten Obito to go outside. He was once again going into shut off mode. He didn’t speak and his eyes were glued to the ground. However, you wanted him to look forward to going out, so you tried your best to make him comfortable. “You see, they’re the best thing that ever happened to me,” you say to catch his attention. He slightly looks up from the ground, to look at you. You were a few feet ahead of him, guiding him though the village. “This one boy, he really reminds me of you,” you look back at him, only for him to look back at the ground. “How so?” He asks quietly.
“Well, he’s very stubborn. Always having a rivalry with his teammate and—,” you stop yourself and clear your throat, “he’s just like you in different ways,” she says and stops in front of Ichiraku. Two silhouettes sat inside. “Ah, here they are,” you say as you enter, looking back at Obito with a reassuring smile. He looks at you and hesitantly enters the shop, looking at the two boys who were sitting on the other side.
They look back at you and one of them grins, greeting you loudly while the other sits calm and politely says hello. The loud one had thick black hair, round dark eyes and a contagious smile, while the quiet one was quite the opposite. It made Obito… uncomfortable. No, not because he didn’t know them or anything, but the similarities between them and Obito and Kakashi were unsettling.
“I thought you weren’t showing up,” Toko, the loud one, whines, “I’m not surprised, she’s always late,” Kenji, the quiet one says. His nose was buried in his book while his friend rolled his eyes.
“Well I’m here, aren’t I?” You chuckle and stand aside, “I’m here with a guest,”
Kenji lowers his book in curiosity, his pale eyes falling onto Obito with a monotone expression. It reminded him so much of Kakashi. “A guest? Where?” Toko asked, before he looked at the obvious answer right in front of him. “Oh—Oh!” He exclaims, his eyes slightly wide. “You’re—youre,”
“Obito,” you say, “Obito, this is Toko and Kenji,” you introduce them, earning an awkward ‘hey’ from Obito, and the same with Kenji. However, Toko immediately stood up in his seat, “I have so many questions,” he says with bright eyes, “I never thought I’d see you in person so soon,”
Obito was taken slightly aback, he wasn’t expecting such a reaction, and to be honest, the boy kind of reminded him of himself. “Sit down Toko,” Kenji scoffs, but it was obvious the boy had some questions of his own.
“Now, now boys, I don’t think Obito feels comfortable answering questions just yet. He’s still getting used to things and—,”
“It’s okay,” he cuts you off before you continue. He sat down beside Toko, who seemed like he was shaking out of excitement. For the first time since Obito got here, he felt… visible. Like he wasn’t being judged by anyone. On the contrary, the boys looked at him not with disgust, but interest.
“Are you sure? You don’t have to,” you reassure, worried that he might be doing this because he felt forced to, “I’m sure,”
⋅───⊱༺ ♰ ༻⊰───⋅
The night went on smoothly. You were surprised at how much Obito talked—heck, he talked more with your students than with you! The conversation ranged from different types of Jutsus, to the sharingan, to the Uchihas. You had been worried all night that Toko might ask something too personal that would make Obito uncomfortable, but to your surprise, he seemed to be very at ease. Even Kenji had begun to ask some questions, to your surprise.
Of course, the night was coming to an end, and the boys needed to leave. They said their goodbyes and left, making you sit there with Obito. You were silent for a few minutes before you looked at him, “Are you okay?” You asked, concerned that one of the boys asked him something offensive.
“Yeah,” he says and looks at you, his eyes wandering your face and his lips moving as if to say something. You wait patiently for him to speak, tilting your head to the side, “what is it?”
His lips press against each other, turning them into a flat line before he finally speaks, “there’s two of them, aren’t there supposed to be three?” He asks, his eye staring deep into yours.
“Oh..,” you say and look down for a moment, “yeah, there’s supposed to be three,” you look at your nails, trying to find them interesting as the topic makes you a little saddened.
“Then what happened?” He asks curiously, not catching the glimpse of your smile fading slowly. Now it was your turn to bite your lips. You didn’t know how to bring this up because you never liked bringing it up. No one ever asked before either, because the whole village knew what happened.
“We uh… we lost her,” you say with grief, “on a mission,”
“Oh… I’m sorry,” he says and shook his head, “I shouldn’t have asked—,”
“You didn’t know. It’s okay,” you smile reassuringly and pay for the meals. “I’m okay. And so are the boys. They’re strong,” you stand up and look outside, “it’s getting dark, we should probably head back home,”
“…yeah,”
⋅───⊱༺ ♰ ༻⊰───⋅
“So, you haven’t made any progress?” The silver haired man you know as Kakashi asks from in front of you. Considering he had become Hokage almost immediately after the war, you two barely got to see each other. Obito was currently getting tested at the infirmary for… who knows what. Kakashi didn’t give details about it.
“No, that’s not what I said,” you furrow your brows, “he’s having a hard time getting around. He doesn’t like going outside because people treat him nasty—,”
“And rightfully so. (Y/N), you might not get it, but this is the man who almost wiped the earth clean,” he says in a serious tone, “I know you keep thinking he’s like he used to be—the Obito from the past, but he’s not,”
“He’s trying—,”
“He’s a criminal,” you were slightly taken aback by his tone. You had never heard Kakashi speak about someone so roughly, and you’ve known him for years. You had become good friends since he became a teacher—so it really did surprise you. “You can’t be treating him like some old friend. You must take this seriously,”
“Everyone deserves a chance. He was your friend. You know him better than anyone here,” you say as you sat uncomfortably, “Even Sasuke isn’t being shunned to this extreme,”
“Because Sasuke didn’t start a war,” he refutes, “Then what are you suggesting I do?” You ask as you cross your arms, “I don’t get why you're being so.. so,” you look at him and sigh, “I’m sorry, I’ve just been really out of it. You know I hate mistreatment,” you rub your temples.
“It’s okay,” he sighs, “I just want to make sure you're not doing this because you feel forced to—,”
“I would never. I volunteer to supervise him, and I intend to make this an easy process for every party,” you say confidently, “after all, Obito and I are getting along just fine. He’s even met my students. I’ve seen good progress in him, even if it takes a little time,” you smile, “it’s like I’m slowly bringing him back,”
Kakashi stares at you for a few seconds—it was impossible to read his expression or what he was thinking, but his brows were furrowed together. You might've thought he had an expression of distaste if it weren’t for his mask, “I see… then that’s all for today. I wanted to check up on your progress, but I see that you are doing fine by yourself,”
You frown slightly at his words. You would’ve felt praised if it weren’t for his tone of voice. It seemed a little cold. You didn’t understand why—maybe it was because he was still bitter about everything that happened in the war, just like everyone else, but he out of all people should understand Obito, or at least, try to. “Right, then I’ll get going,”
⋅───⊱༺ ♰ ༻⊰───⋅
It seemed the time that you used to spend with Kakashi was replaced by Obito. You two seemed to get closer to each other with each day, and you were glad. He woke up early in the morning now, telling you good morning, and asking what you would do today. If you had to go out, he’d go with you. If you stayed inside, he’d stay with you—Although you mostly thought it was because he literally had no choice but to do so.
You saw him smile more often, and the village seemed to be accepting him more and more. All of your hard work was starting to pay off. Your students seemed to love him, and so did Naruto. Obito loved to speak with your students as well. They reminded him so much of himself when he was younger. Your friendship grew so much, he even insisted on going to watch you train your students. You were glad—no, not glad. You were happy to hear this, immediately agreeing to his request.
Currently, you were sitting down on the grass while your two students sparred, Obito sitting right beside you. “You know, they remind me a lot of how things used to be,” he says while looking at the two boys, “you really weren’t kidding when you said Toko was my twin,” he chuckles, leaning back against a tree.
“I told you,” you smile at him gently before looking back at your students. “So, have you spoken to Kakashi yet?” you ask curiously, considering the last time you spoke to Kakashi about Obito he was a little… bitter about it. You understood why, but it didn’t mean you wanted that to happen.
“No, not since after… everything,” He says with a straight face, "I don't think he’d want to talk to me ever. Not that I care much anyways, I also carry resentment,” he says, not meeting your eyes as he’s focused on the two figures in front of him. They fought hand to hand, and their friendly rivalness was giving him nostalgia. The sound of their weapons clanking made him remember just how much he and Kakashi would always fight. Rin would always watch. His face drops at the memories.
“I see,” you frown, “I just wanted to know because you two deserve to flip the page and start anew,” you look at him, “I certainly forgive you. And I don’t blame you—,”
“(Y/N), I’m not a good person,” he cuts you off with furrowed brows, “And I don’t expect anyone to forgive me. Especially not kakashi. After everything that’s happened, the best thing we can do is forget we even exist,”
“I don’t think that way,” you say sternly, “I believe everyone deserves a chance, and that doesn’t exclude you. You had your reasons—heck, you were a kid when you were manipulated—”
“Manipulated?” his head snaps towards you, “it was my decision,”
“You were a kid,” you refute, but he shakes his head, “It doesn't matter,”
“It does! You were a kid, you were vulnerable—”
“And what do you know?” he asks, a little agitated. He didn’t know why he was feeling this way, but his chest was slightly burning up. “You weren't there when it happened. You didn’t know Kakashi, Rin or me that well. So how could you possibly know what I feel? How could you understand?”
“Because I have a heart. You were a vulnerable kid who was grieving the death of someone you loved. You were filled with rage, and Madara took advantage of that,” you spoke calmly, because the last thing you wanted to do was make him feel even worse than he already was, “You didn’t speak to the people you held closest to your heart. You were ripped away from the village in hopes of false promises,” everything you said, you knew because of him. He had talked about this with you shortly after becoming more comfortable with you. You did know, you weren’t exactly there, but you did understand him.
“Please don’t live your life regretting what you did, or hanging onto hatred,” you frown and put a hand on his shoulder, “This is a new beginning for you. One that you were given even after thinking you didn’t deserve it,” you smile, “take advantage of that and work on yourself. If you’re having a hard time doing so, then I’ll help you. I will always be here for you,”
Your words left him speechless. Honestly, he didn’t know what to say. He was at a loss for words. You made him feel… different. A good difference. It was like you were the thing he most longed for. You were pure kindness… It almost reminded him of Rin. No, it did remind him of Rin. His eye never left yours as he tried to think of something to say. Your hand on his shoulder felt so tender and gentle, something he hadn't experienced in a long time. “I care for you Obito,”
He stares at you for what felt like ages, but finally, he worked up the courage to say something, “thank you,”
⋅───⊱༺ ♰ ༻⊰───⋅
“I want a rematch!,” Toko whines, looking at the other teenager who stood crossed arms, “I already won, I don’t think you want me to beat you again,” he says and rolls his eyes.
“Okay boys, that’s all for today. Go home and rest,” you say and chuckle, seeing how Kenji helps Toko up from the ground. The boys packed their things before saying goodbye to both you and Obito. After they left, it was silent. Obito was still deep in thought after your conversation.
“Well, I need you to help me get some things. We’re kind of out of groceries and I need to restock,” you say before turning to him, “Unless you want to go home. That’s okay, I’ll do the grocer—”
“No, I’ll come with,” you were once again surprised by this, but immediately smile, “Okay then,”
It’s safe to assume that you and Obito were starting to become closer than what anyone imagined. Some might say it's too close. He seemed to smile more around you, and since some time had passed, he was now allowed to roam freely without having to be under your supervision. However, he refused to leave your side, and you didn’t mind at all. You were glad, because the bubbling feeling in your stomach everytime he laughed or made you laugh was amazing.
However, you were conflicted. For the longest time, you had always liked a certain silver haired Jonin. Kakashi was always your crush—kind of. You weren’t obsessed with him, but there was an obvious interest. You spent a lot of time together, and were set out on a lot of missions together as well. It’s safe to say that you were always together at all times. You weren’t sure if he had actually reciprocated your feelings, because he never showed any sign of interest in you. I guess that’s kind of why you started losing feelings for him as soon as he became Hokage. He was always busy, and you were too. He never seemed to be interested in you the way you were of him, so it didn’t matter.
Obito seemed to be replacing Kakashi in every sense of the matter. He was now the person you’d spend your time with 24/7. You laughed and joked with him, ate with him, lived in the same house as him. Everything you did, he was right by your side. And the best thing about all of this was that Obito seemed to be interested in you too. You didn’t want to jump to conclusions, but the way compliments would slip out of his mouth from time to time would make your stomach flip. The way he now sits right beside you instead of across you everytime you eat just to be closer to you made you feel amazing. He was trying to be as subtle as possible, but he failed miserably. To him, you had become someone he truly cared for. You were so kind to him, even after everything. You trusted him, because you knew who he was. You understood him in every sense of his being, and he was glad. He was just so glad he had you. Because it was as if the universe reunited you two. It was meant to happen.
It seemed the tables had been severely flipped, much to someone’s distaste. Kakashi, although always busy, heard the talk of the town. He heard the rumors, he heard the stories. He heard about how you and Obito were supposedly going out. Or how you were supposedly spotted at a restaurant together. All of this, Kakahsi could handle, because he knew they were just rumors of the town. Of course the people would start to assume things like that. Obito had to be with you at all times, so of course it would stir up a few rumors here and there. But, it made him wonder if it was actually true.
What exactly were you to Kakashi? Why did he find himself caring so much about these stupid rumors going around? He never admitted this before, but you were special to him. Ever since you were kids, he had an interest in you. At the academy and even after joining the Anbu. You always had a special place in Kakashi’s heart. To him, you were priceless. You cared too much about silly things, and too little of yourself. He hated that about you, but he also loved it. Because it left room for him to love you. He always found himself thinking about you, both when he was a kid, and still to this day. He cursed himself for never telling you how he truly felt, but to him, his romantic feelings would subside with time. They didn’t, of course, he was just lying to himself.
Why exactly did he refuse to believe his feelings towards you? Well, he’s always been alone, and when he’s not, he ends up losing those closest to him. He didn’t want to lose you. He couldn’t afford to love you when he knew that you might leave him. He couldn’t afford another heartbreak, so he treated you as a friend. He was sure you liked him, he wasn’t stupid, and he was glad. He bathed in your sweetness, and he loved it. He loved knowing that you felt the same. However, his biggest mistake was never saying anything. Because now, he was worried that you didn’t want him anymore. Now that you didn’t want him, he wanted you the most. You barely come visit him at his office anymore, and when you do, it's strictly professional. He had never expected things to go this way. Sure, he was now the Hokage, but out of all the people to treat him with such ‘respect’, he didn’t expect it from you. He thought you’d stay the same as you were. Heck, you didn’t even call him by his name anymore. It was either Hatake or Sir, and neither of them left a good taste in his mouth.
That’s why he made sure that tonight, he’d make up for all the time he wasted just pushing you away.
“You called me here for something, Sir?” you ask as you enter his office,
“You know you don’t have to use formalities when we’re alone, right?” he asks with a chuckle, earning and chuckle from you, “I mean, you’re the Hokage, it’s disrespectful to talk to you as if you’re a normal person,”
He shakes his head before sitting down, “How have you been?” he asks, waiting for you to sit down, which you did.
“Um… Well, i’ve been good,” you say hesitantly, “It’s been peaceful,”
“Is that so? I would’ve assumed you’d be stressed thanks to Obito,” he says and rests his chin on the palm of his hand. You quickly look at him and smile, shaking your head with a chuckle. You instantly melt into the conversation, as if you two had never stopped hanging out, “Oh no, he’s an angel,” you cover your mouth with a giggle, “He’s already getting used to everything. You should’ve seen him helping the seniors. They love him,”
The more you spoke about Obito, the more his expression seemed to change, “i see,” he clears his throat, “I’m glad you’re getting along,” he says a little bitterly, but you didn’t quite catch that.
“I was meaning to ask,” you look at him with a smile, “Have you gotten to speak to him? I think it would be a good idea to talk things out. He told me he hasn’t spoken to you since he got here, so…,” you look at your hands, “maybe it wouldn’t be a bother if you two got to speak. I know things are tense right now, so I wanted to—,”
“I don’t think he’d want to agree with that. We’ve parted ways. It’s better to leave things as they are right now. Let things smooth as they go,” he says, earning a small ‘oh’ from you. He noticed how your smile slightly dropped.
“But, I do have tonight free. I was meaning to ask you— well, if you wanted to go out and eat. You know, so we can catch up,” he was hopeful. There was a big chance you’d say no, but to his surprise, your eyes lit up and your smile came back to your pretty face. “Of course, around what time were you planning? Not that I’ll be busy anytime today, I’m free all day,” you smile excitedly.
“How does six sound?”
⋅───⊱༺ ♰ ༻⊰───⋅
“You’re going out?” Obito asks as he lays on your bed. He had a habit of laying on it whenever he could. He would always say it was much more comfortable than his.
“yeah, I thought I told you?” you say as you look through your closet, “No, not really. Where are you going?” he asks curiously, sitting up to look at what clothes you were pulling out.
“I’m going out to meet the Hokage,” you say with a smile, slightly excited that you would get to catch up with him again. This made Obito raise a brow, “So, you’re going out to meet Kakashi,” he states with a ‘matter of fact’ tone “Yes,” you affirm and turn to him. He lays back down, but still looks at you, “Why? Is it like, some weird date or something?”
“No! We’re just going to catch up since we barely spent any time together since he became Hokage,” you say and hold up a dress, “Do you think this is nice?” you smile and show off your dress. A hand comes and pushes the dress aside gently, “It sounds like a date to me,” he looks at your face, kneeling on the bed now.
“Obito, it’s not a date,” you put the dress down, “Even if it was, what's the big deal?”
“Nothing, I’m just saying,” he stands up and walks towards the closet, pulling out another dress, This one was a navy colored one, nothing fancy, but it was still pretty “This one would look way better,” he grins “It’s my favorite color too,”
You smile and take the dress, “Alright,”
After getting dressed and ready, you say goodbye to Obito, who is still on your bed. You heard him ask for some sweets when you got back—but you didn’t really hear him well.
You were both excited and nervous. You didn’t know what to expect. I mean, you knew Kakashi wanted to catch up, sure, but you didn’t know what to expect from yourself. One day you thought you were completely over Kakashi, and now you’re questioning your feelings again. To some extent, your feelings for Kakashi were still very much strong and alive. You were dumb for thinking that you could just forget about him. However, you also felt a little something for Obito. Your mind was reeling with many thoughts. You honestly didn’t know what to do anymore. It was like Kakashi controlled what you felt, and when you could feel it without even trying. You didn’t blame him of course, but it frustrated you a lot.
After a while of walking, you finally saw Kakashi waiting for you at the bridge. You smile and walk towards him, his head turning towards you once he hears your shoes. You assume he smiled at you at the way his eyes turn into crescent moons, “hey,” he greets, turning to face you. “You look wonderful,”
“Thank you,” you reply, your smile never leaving your face as your cheeks are dusted pink. You give him a compliment in return as well, “So, where are we going to eat?” You ask, standing besides him as he begins to lead the way, “I reserved a spot at the new restaurant that just opened recently. I’ve heard real good things about it, and I wanted to bring someone special with me,”
Your heart skipped a beat at his words, but you didn’t want to think much of it, “I see,” your cheeks were dusted pink, your lips forming a small smile as you looked down. He noticed this, and smiled to himself. After all this time, he still had that effect on you.
The restaurant was pretty different from all the others in Konoha. It was a little more modern than any other restaurant, and it just screamed expensive. “Wow, this place looks amazing,” you say as you look around, already sitting across from Kakashi, “I’m not sure I can afford to come here more than two times. It looks really expensive,” you laugh, earning a chuckle from him, “Maybe you won’t have to pay. If you come with me, I’ll definitely make sure to pay for everything. Just like tonight,” he tilts his head with a smile, his eyes closed.
“Oh no, don’t bother, I brought money—,”
“I said I’ll pay (Y/N), don’t worry about it,” he put a hand over yours when you went to reach for your pouch. You look at his hand and then at him, “Are you sure?” He nods and leans back, pulling his hand away from yours, “of course, I was the one who invited you. I’m not letting you pay,” he chuckles. He was so handsome.
The afternoon was going really well. Both were having a nice conversation during your meal—although, you had no idea how he was eating since not once did you see him pull down his mask—and were just enjoying yourselves. You felt euphoric. It was nice being with him again. You had forgotten exactly why you had fallen for him all those years ago, and today you were being reminded. He was so nice, so funny, so perfect to you. He read you like a book and listened to everything you had to say. It was just nice.
“You know, I missed this,” you say, taking the last bite of your food and smiling, “I forgot when was the last time that we actually spoke like this. For hours,” you rest your chin on your palm, “I thought we wouldn’t get to do this anymore”
“I thought so too,” he says and looks into your eyes. He fell quiet as he stared at you. This had to be the moment. He needed to tell you now, because he wouldn’t get another chance if he didn’t.
“(Y/N), I have something really important I want to say,” he says, suddenly a little more serious than before, “I want you to be honest with me,”
You furrow your brows, sitting upright and nodding, “yeah, of course. What is it?”
“How do you really feel about me?” You were taken aback by his question, “I thought you wanted to say something important, not ask me something,” you chuckle a little nervously, trying to avoid answering, but he shook his head, “I’ll tell you when you answer me,”
“Well, I think…,” you stop for a moment, trying to form the words you so badly wanted to utter. ‘I’ve been in love with you for the past fifteen years,’ is all you wanted to say, but you couldn’t. Not when you were torn between telling him and forgetting Obito, or just never telling him at all. “You’re a wonderful person,” you say, and look at him. However, it seemed like that wasn’t the answer he wanted. “And I appreciate you a lot, for always being there for me for as long as I remember,”
The table was now quiet. He seemed to be thinking of what to say, and you were nervously waiting for his answer.
“Do you like me? Romantically,” he asks again, now going straight to the point, making your heart beat faster, “what?” You ask, gulping down the lump in your throat.
“Because I like you. I’ve liked you for as long as I can remember,” he declares, making your heart almost stop. You didn’t expect this. You never would’ve expected this. He had never treated you romantically in his life, so what was the occasion?
“I… Kakashi, I don’t understand,” you furrow your brows, “If that is really true, how come you never told me before—or at least dropped hints,”
“I didn’t want to give you false hopes. I wasn’t sure before, mostly because I was afraid to get hurt,” he admits, “but now I’m sure,”
“But why now? Why now all of a sudden?” You ask, the timing seemed weird. How come now, that you weren’t speaking as much as before, he wanted to confess. Why now?
“I.. don’t know,” he blinks, “but what matters is that I told you,”
“I.. Are you being genuine?” You frown, “because the timing seems a little strange. I don’t understand why you suddenly seem interested in me. I mean, we haven’t hung out, we haven’t spoken—you never showed interest in me before this moment. Why is it that now you suddenly want to say this to me,” you didn’t understand why you weren’t happy. I mean, you liked him, of course, but it felt strange.
The puzzle pieces didn’t fit, and the only reason as to why he was seemingly starting to take an interest now, was because you were spending more time with Obito. You didn’t want to jump to conclusions, but come on, it was plausible. It made sense if you thought about it. They technically hated each other, and it was no secret they were rivals and will always be rivals. It looked as if now that Obito was winning your attention, Kakashi wanted it back.
“Of course I’m being genuine. I’ve always liked you,” he frowns, “Do you not like me?”
“It’s… it’s not that. I just, I don’t think I want anything right now. The timing seems off and I— I just don’t know if I’m sure of what I’m feeling,”
The air seemed to get tense the more you spoke. You seemed conflicted, and Kakashi knew why. He knew why you were conflicted. “This is about Obito, isn’t it?” He suddenly asks, making your head snap towards him. “I…,” you didn’t know how to answer, because to some extent, yes, it was about Obito,
“I knew it,” he leans back, “you like him,”
“It’s not like that,”
“Then why is it that you suddenly changed your mind? I mean, I know you like me. Or at least liked. So why else would you not accept me?”
Now that makes you uncomfortable. He was speaking the truth, but the way he said it sounded wrong.
“Kakashi, things change,” you begin to explain, but you never expected what he said next.
“(Y/N), you can’t just fall for him. I’m not sure if he likes you, but if he does, it’s not genuine. It’s not fair to take advantage of someone who obviously has never been treated nicely before. Of course he’d fall for the first person to show him an ounce of respect,”
Your jaw dropped at his words. You couldn’t believe what you just heard. You had to process everything twice just to make sure you weren’t making things up. Kakashi had to admit he was talking out of frustration—since he wasn’t getting you easily. But this reached a whole different level.
“Unbelievable,” you finally say, reaching for your pouch and pulling out money. You slam it onto the table and stand up.
“(Y/N), wait—,”
“I want you to know that Obito deserves to be loved too, you know. Don’t you ever tell me I’m taking advantage of someone just because I love them,” you scoff and take your things, starting to storm your way out of there. Before you could leave, Kakashi caught your wrist, “I didn’t mean it like that,” he tries to convince, but you pull your arm away, “I know what you meant,” you snarl and finally exit, leaving a guilty Kakashi behind.
The walk home was hot. You felt hot all around. You were angry. Angry and hurt. His words kept swirling in your head.
‘It’s not fair to take advantage of someone who obviously has never been treated nicely before,’
Who did he think he was? How could he even say that? It hurts you. It hurt you because you liked him so much, but this? This made you think about what you felt. It made you question things.
Maybe you were overreacting. You didn’t know. Right now, you didn’t want to know. You got home and quickly stormed towards your bedroom after locking the door. You looked disheveled—and once you reached your bedroom, Obito quickly sat up from your bed, “you’re here early,” he says, but quickly stopped when he saw your red face. Concern washes over him as he stands up, “hey, what’s wrong?”
You stay silent, taking off your shoes while shaking slightly, “(Y/N), what’s going on?” he asks again, coming closer to you and placing his gentle hands on your shoulders, “Hey, look at me,”
You finally look up at him, eyes glossy with tears. You were so mad, so frustrated, that you couldn’t hold back your tears, “what’s wrong?” His voice was so gentle, so soothing. It was exactly what you needed right now. You had possibly ruined your relationship with Kakashi—no, you didn’t ruin it. He did.
“I just,” you choked as your tears finally fell. You hated crying. You hated that you cried when you just wanted to yell.
Instead of pushing you to speak, Obito pulled you into a hug. His arms wrapped around your waist as his hand held your head and pushed it towards his chest. It was so warm. “It’s okay, I’m here,” he whispers, his fingers gently tangling themselves into your hair. Your arms found themselves wrapping around him as well, holding onto him for what seemed like hours. Yet he never moved. He never uttered a word to hurt you. On the contrary, he let you know he was there for you. This is what you needed…
“Thank you, Obito,”
⋅───⊱༺ ♰ ༻⊰───⋅
Days passed by since what happened at the restaurant, and today was the first time since the incident that you were called to the Hokage’s office. You felt dread wash over you when you received the message, you didn’t want to go, not after what happened. Oh, had I mentioned how Obito and you now seemed to be inseparable? That interaction had built a strong bond between the two of you. No words were spoken that night, but they didn’t have to be. Both of you created a connection no other person could achieve.
With every step you took, your body felt heavier. Dread consumed you and you couldn’t seem to open the door to his office. You didn’t know what to expect… however, you managed to build the courage to enter his office, straightening yourself and walking towards his desk, “you called for me, sir?”
His head tilts upwards to look at you, “Yes,” he answers dryly and pulls a scroll from his desk, “a mission for you, out in Kirigakure,” he waits for you to take the scroll, watching you intently. You felt as if his eyes were burning holes onto your skin. You reached for the scroll and took it.
“Take both your students with you,” he adds, and looks down at some papers, “that’s all,”
You weren’t expecting this attitude, but then again, what were you expecting? You felt weird. “Right, thank you,” you say, bowing respectfully before turning towards the exit. As you were about to open the door, he called for you. You turn your head towards him, and wait for him to speak.
“Just know that I’m sorry,” he says, which you simply nodded and left. Once you were out of sight, your heart dropped to your stomach. ‘You should’ve said something’ you thought, mentally facepalming. ‘He was trying to apologize and you just left? You’re so stupid’ you insult yourself as you walk out of the building. You wondered what this mission was about, but you didn’t check until you were back home.
⋅───⊱༺ ♰ ༻⊰───⋅
The mission was simple. There were some ninja terrorizing the village and they needed some help catching them. It wasn’t an S rank mission, but it was still pretty high up there. You assumed the ninja were pretty darn strong if you had to be sent out.
“A mission in the mist village?” Asked Obito as he peeked over your shoulder to see what the scroll said. “Apparently. It’ll take a few days I guess,” you sigh and place the scroll on the desk of your room, going to grab a bag to pack some things. Obito read the scroll with furrowed brows, “why couldn’t he send Naruto and his gang? I mean, they could handle it themselves,” he asks and watches you pack, “because they’re busy with their own missions,” you say, throwing some clothes and tools into your bag, “I have to leave in a few hours, so please keep the place tidy,” you say, turning towards him.
“Of course,” he shrugs and sits down on the bed, “and make sure to eat well—and don’t drool on my pillows this time,” you laugh as he blushed slightly, “that was one time,” he argued
“I know, I’m just messing with you,”
Once it was time to leave, you took your bag and wore your headband. Obito followed behind you as you walked towards the door. “Hey,” he called before you opened the door. You turn to him and raise a brow, “what is it?”
“Please be careful,” he says, obviously worried, “I mean, I know you’ll kick ass, but please be careful,” he smiles at you worriedly, but you grinned reassuringly, “don’t worry Obito, I’ll come back in one piece,” you chuckle and open your arms. He immediately leaned in to give you a strong hug, and for a moment it seemed like he didn’t want to let go. However, you needed to leave and he let go. He smiled gently and pinched your cheek, “alright, I’ll see you soon then,” he says and you nod, leaving him behind. You wondered what he’d do while you were gone, but decided it was better to keep your mind focused on your mission.
⋅───⊱༺ ♰ ༻⊰───⋅
Now while you were gone, a surprise arrived at your doorstep. When Obito answered the door, it was two of Kakashi’s secretaries. “Obito Uchiha, you have been summoned to the Hokage’s office on urgent request,”
Him? What for? Although Obito wanted to ask these exact questions, he only nodded and followed them to the building. He hadn’t been called there for about two months, what could he possibly be called over there for.
Once they arrived, he was left alone in front of the office doors. Everything seemed different. The village itself had changed too much since the last time he was there—well, when he was a kid. He shook the thoughts away and entered the office. Finally, after two long months, Kakashi and Obito were back face to face.
“You called me,” Obito states, his arms crossing in front of his chest as he waits for Kakashi to speak. The silver haired man looks up from his paperwork, his dark eyes burning into Obito’s.
“Yes, we need to talk,”

Again (Uchiha Sasuke)
TAGS: Sasuke/F!reader, yandere, obsession, dirty thoughts, breeding kink, oneshot Ao3 ver. | Ko-fi | Commissions (OPEN)
“Kaa-chan told me to remind you to eat and to give you this! She said it’s your favorite.”
Gingerly taking the bento being offered to him, something flickered within Sasuke’s lone visible eye which disappeared almost as soon as it appeared. Even without opening it, he was already sure of its contents.
You were the one who made it after all.
“Please give her my thanks when you get home. I’ll drop this off myself once I’ve cleaned it,” the Uchiha makes sure to use his left hand as he receives the lunch box, a small shiver running down his spine as a brief image of you happily preparing this meal for him appears in his mind’s eye.
“Will do, Oji-san! And thank you again for today’s training session. Please come visit us at home whenever you can. Kaa-san always looks forward to your visits. She always says you don’t visit enough,” Shinachiku’s soft laughter reminds Sasuke of how much he takes after you than Naruto.
From the shade of green in his eyes, to the way his smiles aren’t as blinding as Naruto’s and yet exudes the same strength and softness yours does. Shinachiku Uzumaki is his father’s son, but no one can ever deny that he is also his mother’s child.
He could’ve been your child.
All of them could have been yours.
If only you hadn’t been so weak.
If you simply had the power…then perhaps she’d have been yours.
Not Naruto’s…YOURS!!!
When both he and the young genin separate for the night, him to his lively home filled with the happiness and laughter of family, Sasuke on the other hand retreats to the lonely Uchiha compound. He is all too used to the dreary atmosphere of the place he once called home, his steps never faltering as he entered the main house’s kitchen and sat himself at the dining table.
Inside the 3-layer bento were several onigiri with various fillings, namely umeboshi, salmon, and bonito flakes. A tomato salad that definitely was one of your own homegrown ones (because he has never seen, smelled, and tasted any tomatoes more delicious than yours). The tomato soup was still warm and felt even warmer as he ate it as slowly as he could, savoring the myriad of flavors contained in such a seemingly simple dish.
Though he wasn’t fond of sweets, the avenger couldn’t ignore the slice of strawberry shortcake you packed for him. The first bite of cake reminded him of the sweetness of the youth he spent with you despite his hyperfixation on killing his own brother at the time.
If he’d known the truth that early on then perhaps he wouldn’t have wasted all his time chasing after Itachi.
Naruto wouldn’t have had the chance to take you for himself if Sasuke understood that you were worth much more than his misguided revenge.
Even though Naruto left for training with Jiraiya, the blonde was more than happy to regale him with tales of how the two of you would do your best to send each other letters despite how they constantly went from place to place. Somehow, you always found yourself to him, and he to you.
It made Sasuke sick.
Don’t even get him started on all the flies that buzzed around you while he and Naruto were gone.
Despite most of the original rookies having settled down, the Uchiha was very much aware of how these same men gravitate towards you before Naruto went and made his formal claim.
That know-it-all Nara, the arrogant Hyuga, even Gaara of the Sand were almost always seen around you.
Hell, even that damned swordsman from Kiri who’s now currently its Mizukage was too close to you. Don’t even get him started on Haku who’d more or less become your guard dog ever since you saved both him and Zabuza all those years ago during that mission in Wave.
As much as he despised their attentions on you, he knew deep inside of him that all of them saw the very same thing in you that drew them all in like moths to a flame.
And he HATED it.
Hated that they all coveted you when none of them deserved to have you.
Sasuke’s last thought as he closed his eyes was that of you.
Always YOU.
The Sakura blooms you gifted him smelled so nice…It was a good thing he placed them on his bedside table, because he could close his eyes and pretend that it is the scent of your hair.
He could pretend that it is his hands that run across the soft pink strands as you sleep.
He could pretend that he is the one who feasts upon your delicious cunt each night. His cock forcing your soft and pliant walls open again and again as your nails drag across his back, leaving angry red lines that serve as proof of how much he pleasured you. That it is his potent seed that fills your womb to the brim, globs of semen dripping from your pussy as he makes sure to pour loads and loads of his love within you.
Wouldn’t that be perfect?
Not only will he revive the Uchiha clan, but knowing that you carried his seed and nurtured them within you…he could burst from happiness just from the mere thought of it.
Sasuke falls into a deep sleep, soothed by the images of a reality that could have been.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Even though Sensei told us not to have breakfast, I still think the last thing we should do is train on an empty stomach. So I made us all some breakfast and even lunch!”
Sasuke is once again presented with a bento filled with onigiri, but this time the hands holding onto the container were more slender as slim digits softly yet firmly gripped the lunch box.
“I’m not sure which filling you prefer, but I have different fillings with me so you can choose which one you like best,” ever the thoughtful person you were, you selflessly offered the last Uchiha the food despite how antisocial he’d been towards you despite the time you’d spend together as classmates at the academy.
In his first life, Sasuke simply scoffed at your attempts of kindness towards him. Batting you off at every opportunity as he believed himself above such camaraderie when his only goal in life was to enact his revenge.
Not anymore.
Without saying anything, the raven-haired preteen grabbed the Okaka rice ball just before Naruto could take it.
“Hey, what’s the big idea, teme?! I was gonna get that one!”
“...Tch. Then you should’ve been quicker, dobe.”
“Why you little…!”
The sound of your tinkling laughter and Naruto’s disgruntled mumbling was music to his Sasuke’s ears.
He may have managed to get you the first time around, but not this time.
Uchiha Sasuke didn’t know who or what had flung him back into the past, but Indra knows he won’t ever make the same mistakes he did before.
Did Madara become a Tengu or a Susanoo?
Have you noticed that Madara possess the biggest susanoo even bigger than Sasuke?
The real Susanoo in shinto tradition is related to the God of typhoon and oceans. It's not really how it is portrayed in Naruto. They left the watery element of the mythological Susanoo except the excessive warlike character.
The real inspiration (especially for Madara and Sasuke) is the Tengu an other supernatural creature. In japanese folkore it's associated with the divinity protector of the forest and the mountain, skillful in martial art, swords, naginata. The Tengu is described as a an angry yokai, with a long nose, sometimes a bird-like appearance.
Something unique about Madara's perfect Susanoo is that it goes in two phases before he can settle his chakra.
Phase 1
Phase 2
It's never explained why he does that. There is an aesthetic effort on the first phase but I didn't know if it meant something symbolically. I know that Kishimoto never draw an important character like this by chance. For instance, the two-faced susanoo represents Madara's fear for backstabbing. So I did a little research and I came with this hypothesis:
The phase 1 seems to be a reference to the Yamabushis, an order of warrior monks. They seek enlightenment through rigorous physical and spiritual training in the natural environment, particularly in mountainous regions. Look at how those monks are depicted in their war gears :
They have strong linked to Tengus, some venerate them, other stories said that arrogant priests are turning into Tengu after their death. Or those creatures kidnap priests to turn them into Tengu.
Tengus are known for their supernatural abilities, including shape-shifting, flight, and martial prowess, which align with the mystical aura surrounding Yamabushi.
Whatever the version, I found that Madara's susanoo/Tengu with his two phases, is also a strong metaphor of his unique path as an Uchiha. Similarly to the yamaguchi, Madara is a powerful warrior who went into an ascetic lifestyle, cutting link with his clan, his friend, his village to retire from civilisation in order to gain occult potent powers and ended up transforming into this fearless god of war. The size of his Susanoo manifest the full scale of his destructive anger and arrogance. He seems to have spent more time underground that in the mountain however this is the region that has been Madara's hideout for the obscure 60 years of his life after he lost at the Valley of the End. This place is called the Mountain's graveyard.
So the mythology of a Yamaguchi monk turning into a Tengu can be a metaphor of his path as a rogue shinobi becoming this almost mythical warlord. Living by the sword, belligerent and excited by the battlefield.
A last thing to note about Tengu closer to shinto tradition like the Uchiha, there is also a lot of stories of them opposing Buddhism. trying to corrupt priests, disrupt temples ect... And the Senju have a lot of affinity with Buddhist culture.
I’ve been seeing your art all around the internet and trying to find your page where you are active. I finally found your tumblr and was so happy until I saw the posts about your pet and how bad you are feeling. I just wanted to let you know that your art truly brings light into my life and even if you stop drawing it has forever impacted me. I wanted to say thank you and I hope you will return one day.
Hello! Well, I probably haven't been around for 3 months. I've had the chance to read all the messages now… And I realize i've caused a lot of you to worry, so even though i can't answer each of you individually at this point, i thought you at least had the right to know what was going on.
Ok, when I lost my cat about 3 months ago, I lost many things along with it. I don't know if you guys noticed, but i'm not as active as i used to be. In fact, I can't even remember the last time i drew narusasu …it feels like i've forgotten how to. Honestly I never imagined this day would come… I mean… I don't know how this sounds to you guys, but i won't be able to be active on this account anymore even if i wanted to. I've been trying to hide it, but i've been having arguments with my family about my fan arts for the past year or so. No, not in the way you might think. It's just… maybe many of you won't understand, but my country is going through serious financial struggles, and unfortunately i no longer have the time to create art for free like i used to.
For over ten years, I've been making a living by drawing at my desk, creating things online, whether good or bad. But at some point it stopped making me happy, yes, and that's when I started drawing fanart. Believe or not, the sense of warmth and belonging I felt here was something i had never experienced anywhere else. Yes ofcourse I love Naruto and Sasuke, but the warmth I felt and the feeling of knowing that i wasn't alone was what truly brought me here. Some of you made me laugh, some of you made me cry, and some of you even made me really angry at times. But throughout my life, I've met very few people whom i truly felt close to, and one of them was someone i met thanks to this community. That's why I want to sincerely thank you all!If I've been fighting all this time, it's because I don't want to leave you all. But after a certain point, trying to manage both of my accounts actively caused me to spend extra energy mentally and even physically. So, in the end, I burned out.
Recently, every time I drew sns, i ended up arguing with my family, and it just made me feel like this was the place i should give up. Unfortunately, people can change when it comes to money and that's why I had to take a break.
If you ask where I am now and what I'm doing, i'm still doing one of the things i love, i mean drawing, but active and working on my other account, which is completely different from this one. I'm not planning on closing my account here yet, still have unfinished commissions, and just want to leave the door ajar in case i still have a chance to come back in the future. But still, if you were to ask my honest opinion, I would say don't get your hopes up too much…
No matter what, take care of yourselves guys! Thank you!❤️
Naruto General Headcanons
A/N: i have quite a bit of requests but i have no motivation to write person 5 I'm so sorryyyyy it might be a while before i post them. if you have any other requests though please make sure to send something in!
Cast Line Up- Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi
Naruto~
This kid has SO MUCH energy, but at a certain point in the evening he crashes so hard. Like you cannot get him to do ANYTHING because he's half asleep.
Has broken his arm twice. The first time when he was like 6 he fell off a tree while he was climbing it. The second time he was splashing paint on the great faces and as he was coming down he hit his hand on the ground too hard.
When he can’t sleep he sits on the roof of his apartment complex and stays there for a while, usually until the sun rises.
Likes to paint his nails frequently, usually bright colours, a big fan of bright oranges and greens.
Never has chapped lips. No matter how dry out it is he just never gets them.
After the chunin exams he holds a deep adoration for Neji, because he was able to change his point of view and become better and stronger, and Naruto finds it really impressive.
Sasuke~
Likes to draw, while he was in the academy he often found himself doodling on his work. If someone ever approached him about it he would deny them and tell them they were seeing things.
Sometimes when he feels really alone, he likes to turn on his TV for background noise and deep cleans/rearranges his bedroom. He does this usually once a month.
Can play guitar, and does sometimes. It reminds him a lot of his family, specifically Itachi, so he usually keeps it locked in the back of his closet.
A very avid reader. Has tons and tons of books.
Loves to stargaze. Spends a lot of nights, especially rough ones when he feels alone, watching the stars, usually in a tree or clearing.
After he left the village, for the first few months he actually missed being there, and missed Naruto and Sakura’s theatrics. He got over himself pretty quickly though.
Sakura~
VERY good at makeup, but because she's a ninja she rarely gets a chance to do it, because she usually sweats it off.
Used to wish her hair was blonde because Ino has blonde hair, and she was incredibly popular.
Very very flexible.
Also has a very large sweet tooth, and will take most sweet food over savoury or sour food. Can also handle spice VERY well.
Her legs are stronger than her arms, and she tends to use them more in training and combat. One of her favourite people to train with is Tenten.
Kakashi~
Hates ramen. Cannot stand it. It's been like that since he was a kid, and honestly he's not sure why, he just really cannot stand it.
Has very nice hands. They are usually fairly soft because he hates how his hands feel when they're dry.
Once tried to read a book that wasn’t Make Out Paradise and couldn’t even get past the second chapter.
Very lazy. His ideal day is staying inside his house in a comfy robe and soft slippers reading the day away.
Insomniac, and very good at hiding it. His bags aren’t obvious, and if they are he covers them up with makeup.
Hates being fussed over, but secretly likes to fuss over other people. He can’t really help it, he’s just lost so many people that he has to fuss over the people he loves.
Leaving out how shitty of person Sakura is and how she literally never grows up. She was nasty at 8, nasty at 16, and continued to be nasty in her 30s when she became a parent...
People who genuinely don't like Sakura aren't sitting there disparaging her body, hair, or forehead. They're calling into question how her one goal in life was to become the wife of a boy she continued to disrespect for years. How she didn't take her job seriously and put her team in danger because of it, despite no one forcing her to become a ninja. How she continues to treat her own friends and even her daughter terribly.
Emotions?
You mean where she consistently invaded someone's personal space, refused to take NO for an answer, and then made his trauma about her contrived feelings?
Or how she invalidates everyone else's feelings in favor of her own and manipulates even her child's father, so he won't learn the truth of her behavior at home?
Ideals?
You mean the obsession with her looks and not training until Sasuke and Naruto almost die in front of her?
Or how even after that she didn't start taking things seriously until Sasuke left?
Or what about when all her character growth vanished because she got the chance to see Sasuke again and just stopped being helpful in the canon story and went back to being selfish and rude?
Dreams & Goals?
You mean the desire to be Sasuke's wife regardless of how many times he's pushed her away, told her she was annoying, and avoided her?
Or how her obsession with him was so intense she had to try and guilt trip him in the middle of a war for the sake of the world, into confessing non-existent love to her all because SHE claimed to love him?
Or how she was so attached to being an Uchiha wife that she wears his mon like a badge of honor on all of her clothes when he can't even force himself to wear it or even return to the village to see her and his kid.
Relationships?
You mean where she got the guy in the end, but still decided to be a sob story who did everything alone and then complained about getting no help?
You mean where she was hoping with everything in her being, that her new teammate would insult her supposed best friend too so she would be just as hurt?
Or is it how her obsession with a guy was so intense that she drugged her entire team and left them unconscious in enemy territory just so she could go off to see him to 'kill him' but still needed her drugged teammate to come and save her from being killed by him instead?
Or what about when she broke off her first ever friendship over her obsession simply because of hearsay?
Or what about when she taped her picture over the picture of her husband's friend, and then got angry because her daughter found out and dared to ask questions about it, so she threw a super punch at the space by her kid's feet and took the whole house down in the process?
Or what about that time where she was heavenly pregnant and decided to charge into a very dangerous situation, all for the sake of pride and not being left in her teammate's shadows as usual, and then literally put herself and her unborn child at risk?
Abilities & Strengths?
You mean how her stans try to act like she's surpassed her master by 17, and is better than every other woman in the series when she keeps getting curb-stomped and still needs to be saved by everyone else?
Like, no one is arguing that she hasn't improved as a ninja, cuz it's pretty damn obvious she did, but when y'all sit there being like, 'she's a goddess and Hinata sucks!' are you really being truthful? The enhanced punches aren't helping her all that much so all she's got is healing and even then, she's still not the best at it by adulthood. And she hasn't exactly made a name for herself as she never got out of her teammate's shadows... because she wasn't serious when it mattered.
Y'all brag about how 'Sakura won' when comparing her marriage to Ino's as if Ino isn't in a happy relationship. As if Ino doesn't have a good family unit and that Sai isn't a good father. Sasuke won't come back to the village and only talks to Naruto. Sasuke has never kissed Sakura but HAS kissed Naruto and a Dinosaur of all things. Sasuke didn't even know what his daughter looked like when he met her. When Sakura got stabbed while standing beside him, he didn't care, but when it happened to Naruto he asked after Naruto's well-being. Sakura got the guy she always salivated over, but she didn't actually win anything.
Your consistent need to degrade Hinata and Ino as characters to 'prove' that Sakura is somehow better than them, is also sus. Objectively, they have more character growth and better motivations, and while they might not be super strong and can't punch a house to smithereens in a tantrum, they're far better characters and have better relationships with the people in their lives.
But yeah. People not liking SH for all of these things that make up her character, means they are misogynists.
#anti sakura haruno#anti sasusaku#the irony of trying to act like you care about how ppl treat female characters when your whole account's filled with Hinata and Ino slander#like congrats on your activism there pal
No clan wants to have Sakura's useless genes and especially not the Uchihas. It's a shame for the whole clan
What I also find funny is how delusional Sakura fans are. Do they really think that Sasuke's parents would accept this loser into their family? The big, strong clans are only after other strong genes to produce even stronger and more powerful children. If Sasuke's parents were still alive, Sasuke would have ended up in an arranged marriage with someone from his clan and he would be completely fine with that since they are very family and clan-oriented.
The other possibility would be that he marries a girl from another, strong clan to solidify their relationship with the other clan. In this case Hyūga or Uzumaki.
Knowing the conflict between Uchiha and Senju and also knowing that the Uzumakis are related to the Senjus, … if they finally want to make peace with someone each other, then only a girl from there would make sense for that… and on the other hand, who is the only remaining and pure-bred Senju/or Uzumaki?
It's Karin.
Funny that even from a political standpoint, they would still have a chance to end up together thann Pinky. And clearly, Kishimoto wanted to go that way. Sasuke knows this too. It was literally part of the Zabusa arc to get married so stronger Kekegengai could be created. Sasuke would NEVER choose Sakura. That's why I will never believe they are "married". Sasuke is not retarded. And in order to create more powerful genes, it's funny that Kishimoto retconned Karin's past at the literal end of the story and made her an Uzumaki to strengthen that bond.
And Sasuke left Konoha to become stronger. He was under Orochimaru. His whole life was dedicated to becoming stronger. He knows how valuable it is to give a baby strong genes not useless ones.
The ending will never make sense. They completely destroyed his character. Sasuke loved his parents. He knows how important family is. Sasuke would always stay by his wife's side and never leave her. And him not staying with pinky and the whole mess in Gaiden proves that to me, Sasuke is married, but just not to pinky and I'm sure some pinky stans know that but they can't say that because it will destroy they delusional bubble they created for themselves with all the pathetic fanarts and fanfics.
It is a waste of genes to get together with someone weak and useless like Sakura. If we are not talking about politics but about love, Kishimoto has brought Sasuke and Karin closer there too. If we ignore Karin's side, we see Sasuke approaching Karin and smiling, Sasuke who is on Karin's side in arguments, Sasuke who actively interacts with Karin, talks to her, listens to her and agrees with her, Sasuke who created a new power for Karin and the same Sasuke who was shocked when he found out that Karin is an Uzumaki.
Everything is there, whether we look at it from a family perspective or from a love perspective. Sasuke's parents would be very happy with Karin because she has the Uzumaki genes and is an asset to the clan, not only from a political perspective between Uchiha and Senju but also because she can enrich the next generations with her genes.
Sakura on the other hand is not even in the conversation.
Sasuke's parents wouldn't even look at her and would be very disappointed in Sasuke. Sasuke would never want to disappoint his parents or betray them. That's why Sasuke x Sakura will always stay a retarded dream and fanfic of it's stans but will never have any kind of importance in canon.
Probably a hot asscheeks take but...
I sincerely hate demonization of female characters in fandom and being ignored unlike the male characters even if the cast isn't male dominated.
This kind of goes on for a bit so I'll leave the rest under the cut⬇️
Okay, sometimes it happens due to bad writing. It really does. I haven't seen Naruto but I know SasuNaru is way more popular than SasuSaku because Sasuke and Naruto have way more chemistry than Sakura and Sasuke.
Female characters are always pushed aside in favour of a different agenda when you don't necessarily have to write off/badly just to make a point clear.
This was extremely prevalant to me when I read fanfics.
Leave fan art aside. That's a whole different story and the ladies don't even get a fraction of the fanart (that isn't nsfw or gooner bait) as the guys.
It would've been fine once or twice. It happens. But I can't believe the amount of times I've seen fem leads/prominent fem characters turned into evil, lying, cheating whores for the main M/M ship.
(For context I used to read fics with different main ships because it was tagged with side ships that I liked.)
Weird, I get it, but if I got the chance to read side KiriBaku and KamiJirou in a mainly TodoDeku fic I'd be like fuck it why not. <- this same fic, I forgot the name already, made Ochako cheat on Deku and Todoroki got mad at her and comforted Deku which lead to them dating...? I found it weird as fuck and I didn't get that much further in after that.
Another example I can think of is Kaede from Danganronpa V3. My favourite pairing at the time was Kaede/Rantaro and I did enjoy it with Kokichi/Shuichi.
Can you guess what happens? If you thought Kaede cheats on Shuichi with Rantaro and Kokichi gets with Shuichi instead... you'd be right.
That pissed me off so bad.
Kaede wasn't my favourite character by any means. I don't even enjoy MHA or Danganronpa anymore. You don't need to like a character. Make them the villain. Do what you want, it's your fic after all.
But why are you sacrificing the characterization of a character (especially female ones) just so that she doesn't get in the way of your main ship? It rubs me the wrong way that you're making a completely different person and slapping on the name and appearance of a different character.
Not just M/M fics (I mention it because it's more common there in my experience) but even in some F/M fics. I once read a LeviHan (Fem Hange) fic and they turned Petra into exactly what I just mentioned: the evil cheater.
I don't like Petra. She was barely there. But I hated that she was done so dirty like that. (Levi was also super OOC but that's for another day. I dropped it within 2 chapters.)
Push your ship agenda all you want. I don't care.
I'm just tired of seeing girls and women getting the short end of the stick.
I don't expect everyone to agree. Just my observation and thoughts.
#i dont even hate any of the ships mentioned above#what i do hate is butchering a beloved character while pushing for your ship#rant#random rambles#fandom#fandom critical
I just KNOW Sasuke deeply guilt ridden killing his brother, I know he holds that guilt close to his heart, and I think that if given the chance he’d often wishes he could change it.
Definitely. He has a lot of regret and guilt, because he blames himself for being weak and not being able to do anything for either Itachi or for his clan. But while love for his clan is deep enough for him, Sasuke was devastated after losing Itachi. And he may have found some comfort knowing Itachi loved him, it was nowhere close to Itachi actually being there with him, for him.
He just knew Itachi had had enough, so he tried not to be selfish, because Itachi did need rest after everything.
It doesn't mean if he got the chance, he wouldn't have Itachi back. He's devoted his life to Itachi after his death, whether Boruto ever acknowledges it or not.
I always think about him on the anniversaries of the important days. The massacre, his family members' birthdays, Itachi's death. It's all so painful for him because he doesn't have any of them with him whatever he does, it's all distant memories.
And on top of it, he's also the legacy of the Uchiha, of Itachi, and the only surviving person of his clan with the wound, and no one to share it and ease the pain.
If the story ever cared about Sasuke enough beyond using him as a tool to make Boruto relevant, then maybe some of his pain would at least be explored. But we know that's never going to happen.
In VOTE 1, Instead of ramming his Chidori directly through Naruto's chest, we saw Sasuke clench his fists and punch him at the last second. He dared himself to reject or eliminate the feelings within his heart, but he couldn't go through the process of eliminating them.
That's why we could see their pain on the brink of separation clearly evident in their eyes even in their monstrous form inside the white giant rainbow ball [idk what it's called]. Kishi always uses the symbolism of the eyes with Naruto and Sasuke because if they try to hide their emotions their eyes will speak. Eyes are depicted as the powerful conveyors of emotions.
Sasuke felt pain in his arms and fell to his knees coughed up blood. After that we see... Sasuke's face over Naruto. There was no way for come face to face with Naruto after the cough... But he deliberately leaned his face towards Naruto. Raindrops fall from his face onto Naruto. It was his connection with Naruto that brought him close to his face for the last time before he left. His face shows his emotional pain, sadness and numbness because he doesn't want to be separated from him, he doesn't want to hurt him, he can't bear the pain of leaving his precious person. He hurts him so much during their battle and that it hurts him too. But he had to go, so he painfully saying his good bye to him for one last time by hovering over his face into naruto's.
He looked very depressed as he walked into the forest in the heavy rain.
He recollects his memories of his parents and Itachi. His hard work earned him the attention of his father. He finally got the acknowledgement from his father that he desired. His mother's comforting words when he was sad. But he didn't get a chance to ask his mother what his father had said about him. His beloved brother, who was always with him, betrayed him.
He recalls memories of "that day" when his parents lifeless bodies were found. The last part of his memories were his brother's words about killing his closest friend to gain Mangekyo Sharingan.
Sasuke turned his head in Naruto's direction as Naruto's eyes opened.... As if he could sense Naruto was awake.
After looking back in the direction Naruto was in, he closed his eyes in the pouring rain and recalled what his brother had said again. In a serious way, Sasuke says: "I will not do as you told/want me to". His serious expression was towards his brother who had challenged him. "I am not you, I will not kill my precious person for power like you", was his response to it. While Sasuke was saying this… it was raining non-stop.
But the rain stopped when he said, "I will gain power in my own way! I will surpass you in my own way! " We know how much Sasuke suffered every time the cursed seal was activated, and even when he felt so much pain from that... he chose that pain to avoid the pain of losing Naruto because it leaves a whole in his heart, an ache in his soul and that nothing can replace or nothing can make him feel better or heal. He doesn't care what happens to him as long as he gets the power for his revenge, but he doesn't want to hurt Naruto. So he chose that painful path. When he says "without fail" he disappears completely into the darkness, which shows that he is walking into the darkness knowingly and willingly.
And the black and white panels of Naruto & Sasuke...showing darkness and light.
I Wish I Could Tell You How I Fell
Fandom : Boruto
Relationship : Boruto x Sarada
My BoruSara Week 2025 contribution for the Free Day.
I’m sorry for the mistakes, English is not my native language. I hope you like it.
Summary : Boruto arrived in front of a small chalet lost a few miles from Konoha. It was far enough from the village that no one, not even Kawaki, noticed his presence. It was the ideal place to see Sarada without anyone knowing.
Disclaimer : Boruto belongs to Masashi Kishimoto and Mikio Ikemoto.
AO3 / FF.NET
Boruto arrived in front of a small chalet lost a few miles from Konoha. It was far enough from the village that no one, not even Kawaki, noticed his presence. It was a chalet that he and Sarada had found by chance when they were returning from a mission when he was still part of Team 7. When everything was normal, when he was still Boruto Uzumaki. It was a place only knew by them. Even Mitsuki and Konohamaru were unaware of its existence. It was the ideal place to see Sarada without anyone knowing. It was a chalet that had been abandoned for years. One of the windows had broken because of the weather, the door stuck easily and the roof was not in good condition.
Boruto put his hand on the door handle and opened it with a creak. Luckily that there was no one around, he thought. He went inside and saw Sarada lying on the worn couch that was near the fireplace. She was wrapped in a blanket that she had brought a few days ago. He approached her and crouched down. She was asleep. She looked so peaceful. He had noticed that it was something that rarely happened to her.
She was one of the few people who remembered Boruto Uzumaki. Even if she never spoke to him about it, he knew that things were difficult for her. The villagers only saw her as the daughter of a traitor and that she was defending another traitor who had killed the Hokage.
During the time he had spent with Sasuke, he had told him about his past, even if Boruto knew that there were certain things that he had kept to himself. He understood him better. But unfortunately, Sarada was paying the price for it. Boruto blamed himself. Because of him, she had to face all of this alone.
He raised his hand to brush away a strand of her hair that was falling on her face when Sarada moved slightly and opened her eyes slowly. He quickly took his hand away.
“Boruto ? Have you been here for a long time ?”
She sat up, rubbing her eyes.
“I just got here. We can meet another day if you want.”
Sarada woke up instantly.
“No !” She replied hastily. “I’m awake.”
Boruto restrained himself from smiling. He did not want to leave either. His fleeting encounters with Sarada were important to him. Much more than she could imagine. With her, he felt like he was the Boruto from before. He stood up and sat down next to Sarada. She offered him half of her blanket. He was not cold, but he accepted. They talked for a few minutes when he saw that Sarada had her eyes half-closed and she was fighting not to fall asleep.
“Go back to sleep,” he said. “I’m not going anywhere.”
Despite all this time apart, he knew her by heart. With a glance, he could read her. She did not want to be away from him and he did not want to either. Sarada closed her eyes and fell asleep right back. He put his arm around her shoulders and hugged her. She instinctively snuggled into his arms.
“I wish I could tell you how I feel,” he whispered.
He loved her. He always had. He had realized it when he had promised to protect her when she would become Hokage. But he could not confess his feelings to her. Not yet. Not while Omnipotence was still there.
He closed his eyes, enjoying this moment when Sarada was in his arms. He stayed with her until she woke up, as he had promised her.
See You In Other Worlds #13 (Sasuke x Sakura)
Shades of Grey
Sakura is 28, and all her life she has seen only shades of grey, never in any other color. Unless she finds her soulmate at some point, she will spend the rest of her life seeing only in shades of grey. While most people are able to find their soulmate eventually, and this connection isn’t tied to romantic love, there is a chance that some may never experience it.
It has never bothered her, it’s all she knows. She buys clothes with labels that state their colors. This ensures that no one wears clashing colors unless they want to. She has heard from her mom that her eyes are the same color as jade. Her hair is pink.
She feels like she isn’t missing anything important. She has lived through all her firsts, has had her heart broken, and has broken someone’s heart in the past. She has a career that fulfills her in every way, and she feels truly loved by her family and friends.
By a strange twist of fate, all her friends had found their soulmates. Hinata was the first, discovering that her soulmate was her younger sister, Hanabi, after she was born. Then TenTen found hers after meeting Hinata’s cousin, Neji, in her second year of high school. Temari, who joined their friend group after she started dating Shikamaru in their first year of college, was theoretically the third. Soon after, Karin found hers during her job apprenticeship. And finally, Ino found hers when she met her boyfriend, Sai, last summer.
With every friend who found their soulmate, Sakura increasingly felt like the exception instead of the norm in their tight-knit group. And with that came the pitied looks when she had to read the tags, the ‘Let us pick for you’ moments, since she couldn’t see the color combinations, the awkward pauses in conversation when she couldn’t see the specific color they were discussing. Then came the pressure to go out more, to visit new places, all in hopes that she would find her soulmate.
In the words of Ino, You are not going to find that person if you stay stuck in your routines, Billboard Brow. Sakura can only sigh and roll her eyes at this. Her job at the hospital is demanding, and she 'meets' tons of people daily. Is it strange that she wants to rest as much as she can when she’s off work, rather than wasting time on those strange apps where people try to find their soulmate at any cost?
Why can’t her friends just accept that she’s perfectly happy the way she is? Not having a soulmate isn’t holding her back at all. Sadly, though, it seems to be putting a strain on her relationships with her friends.
Because of all of this, she should have suspected that Ino was up to something when she invited her to join her, Hinata, and a couple more people. Those ‘couple more’ turned out to be Sai, Naruto, Hinata’s boyfriend, and a mysterious friend of his, who was running late from work and would meet them at the cinema.
If he decided not to show up at all, Sakura couldn’t blame him; dealing with Ino or Naruto alone could be exhausting. Having to deal with both of them at once, even without any additional pressure, would be even worse.
Sakura shifts in her seat. She had decided to pick a seat at the end of the row, putting some distance between herself and her friends. At least this way, she won’t have to deal with the discomfort of both couples wrapped up in each other the moment the lights go out.
The movie starts, and there is no sign of anyone taking the seat beside her. Sakura resigns herself to having to endure an hour and a half of Killer Klowns from Outer Space.
The protagonist couple has barely escaped their first encounter with the Killer Klowns when one of Sakura’s feet is stepped on by a shadowy figure trying to reach the seat next to hers. Sakura can’t help but let out a yelp of pain.
—Sorry for that. Naruto couldn’t pick a more secluded theater. I got lost,— a deep and rich voice says to her right. It belongs to a man who, in the dimly lit theater, she thinks is about her age. —Don’t worry. You aren’t exactly missing out on an Oscar-worthy movie.— This time, Sakura hears him let out a snort. —If the dobe was the one who picked it out, we’ll be lucky if we make it through without dying of boredom by the end of it.— While the word "dobe" might sound harsh to others, Sakura hears the affection in his voice, something that reminds her of Ino and the nicknames they call each other. —I’m positive we’re closer to dying from the cringe it provokes. And I’m afraid I haven’t studied how to treat that.— Despite everything, in the darkness of the room, she smiles. —I’m Sakura, nice to meet you.— —Sasuke. So, are you a nurse or a doctor? —
In hushed tones, their conversation continues to flow between them. Sakura learns that he’s an architect and discovers they’re the same age. They only half pay attention to the movie, getting sidetracked by other topics.
Their constant chatter earns them a small reprimand from an overly enthusiastic moviegoer, prompting them to move to the back of the room so they can keep talking without disturbing anyone.
It’s strange how effortless it feels to talk to him—a sense of familiarity settles between them, as if they’ve known each other all their lives. It’s just as easy for them to bond over their noisy and meddlesome blond friends. As Sasuke reveals, he’s in a situation much like her own.
As the movie comes to an end, they quickly make plans to grab dinner at a nearby restaurant. Neither of them cares if the other two couples choose not to join them. They feel comfortable around each other, and with no expectations for the evening, the mood stays lighthearted.
The lights turn on again as Sasuke pulls his phone from his pocket to answer a text he received before stepping into the theater. Sakura sees Ino searching for her. Ino’s lipstick is smudged, undoubtedly courtesy of Sai. Finally, her blonde friend spots them at the back of the room.
This signals to the rest of the group, and Naruto immediately starts waving and shouting at Sasuke, to which Sasuke visibly scoffs before telling the hyperactive blond to shut up.
Sakura spins, but is unable to remember her intentions when her gaze locks onto Sasuke’s. An intense itch flares in both eyes, forcing her to squeeze them shut. The sensation grows so overwhelming that a couple of tears roll down her cheeks.
When Sakura manages to open them again, her gaze is once more fixed on his. But this time, color radiates from his irises, spilling out into the rest of the world. The person who once was grey now appears in black, white, light pink, and maroon.
Eventually, she will learn that on that day, his sweater was burgundy and his jeans were light blue. She will learn that embarrassment paints the tips of his ears red, drunkenness colors his whole face, but pink only blooms on his cheeks when he is amazed by her. She will learn that he loved that green dress she was wearing that fateful night, too.
Both of them will learn about their past as they walk hand in hand toward their future. Sakura and Sasuke will learn that orange is also just as obnoxious and loud as their blonde friends were when they finally realized what had unfolded right before their eyes.
Hi, hope you are doing well. )
I am curious to know your impressions, anecdotes, experience of being a veteran SNS shipper. How was your experience with Naruto fandom? Has it changed? It would be great if you could talk about it.
Hi! I hope you’re doing well too. I barely receive any asks, so I’m excited.
Ah, my experiences and anecdotes being in the fandom, especially as a SNS shipper (does it count as shipping if they’re canon?) … It’s more than half of my life (I feel like I’m talking to my grandchildren) so this could get long.
I’ve been part of the fandom for 17 years, but it’s just recently that I’ve gotten to interact more with other fans both pro and anti sns. This mainly for three reasons:
Time period
When I entered the fandom internet and social media weren’t what they are today (that’s how old I am). I barely had access to internet for school and quickly read the new manga chapter before having to disconnect.
Location
Younger people don’t realize this but the globalization of manga and anime are quite recent. Now you can find merchandise even at the supermarket and a great catalogue of series is at your disposal with minimal effort. And being an “otaku” in the 2000’s was begging to be bullied at least in my country, so I preferred to keep my interests to myself.
My personality
I’m not the most social of people.
Thus, in the beginning, the fandom was nonexistent to me. It was just me, what Kishi wrote and my thoughts.
Little by little I got to interact with other people who were mainly shônen fans, and never read outside of that demographic, so there was no chance they would recognize a “non-pure shônen” even if it hit them in the face. There was not much to discuss aside from who would beat who, and I wouldn’t have been able to articulate it back then anyway, but my guts knew there was something different about Naruto. More than met the eye.
I next met a different part of the fandom in the form of fanart and fanfiction, but at that time it never crossed my mind that people would cling to those non-canon portrayals with their life. I would say most of these fans are avid consumers from other demographics that got attracted because something (the romance or the potential gayness) caught their eye, but are only interested in how to bend the characters to fit their vision. I know fanfiction and fanart are supposed to be self-indulgent, I enjoy it and write it even, but I’ve mostly managed to separate from the real thing. Not many discussions about the story as a whole (please keep in mind we were all teenagers back then).
So, none of those previous fan groups seemed to understand what I couldn’t put into words, and for the longest time, because my understanding of Naruto and Sasuke’s story was mostly instinctual, I had to go along with it. I let myself be gaslighted into believing my thoughts were just a byproduct of my fujoshi tendencies (I guess it could be right to call me fujoshi, but never due to Naruto).
After a quite long break, not just from Naruto but from manga and anime in general, I came into contact with the more educated part of the fandom in tumblr, and I finally got to put into words what was behind Naruto and Sasuke’s dynamic thanks to all of the great analysis that I found. I got vindicated and felt like I could finally live in peace but it was short lived.
When I met all the crazy antis, oh boy, I understood why ignorance is bliss.
That being said, there are indeed a bunch of obstacles between the fandom and understanding the true significance of Naruto’s story. However, not all of them are due to lack of knowledge when it comes to narrative devices and storytelling tools. I’m far from proficient in that topic and I can confidently say I got it.
Discarding those who will perpetually live in denial due to bigotry, homophobia, lack of an open mind, cultural differences, etc, and after much pondering elicited by this post of yours, I’ve come to the conclusion that the shônen label holds way more power than I originally thought. Or better say, all that shônen represents functions as the most effective reality filter.
Because Naruto was labeled as shônen:
The dudebros who only care about the power escalation won’t understand even if they are not homophobic because they came for the blattles and cool powers, nothing else matters.
The lost shôjo readers who force nh and ss into focus and think they can bend the “romance” to cater to their taste because a shonen writer would drop the ball with something as delicate. “Let Kishimoto draw his battles, we will fix the deficient love story because we know how true romance it’s supposed to look like. We wouldn’t be interfering with the hero’s story, anyway.”
All the while ignoring they are dragging a bunch of toxic tropes with them. They don’t see their pairings as failures because shôjo also has its good share of toxicity and abuse.
The fujoshi and fundashi who despite coming after the gayness, still miss the point because they do not care about the story so long as two hot men are kissing or fucking or whatever. They don’t actually believe in sns because most of their pairings are ships for fun, anything can be shipped, (pencil-senpai and sharpener-kun) so they see Naruto as a love story only under their terms but never in canon.
Then we have people that read a wider range but fail to look at the story as anything else than one written for male teenagers. Got shôjo for romance seinen and josei for more maturity, so shônen is meant for an easy quick snack.
Some of my friends, that I consider very intelligent people, way more versed in storytelling and narrative and whatnot than me, who are definitely not bigots or homophobic, still miss the point because they weren’t looking for it. They realized only after I pointed it out (I even made a ppt presentation, but that’s another story).
As for the people who understand from the beginning:
There’s of course those with the knowledge to dissect the story, and who can consciously ignore the restrictions of the labels.
Yet another group (I consider myself part of this one) that manage to bypass the rules only guided by instinct, but kept second-guessing themselves until they met someone from the previous group.
Then there’s my mother, bless her, who watches anime and loves her romances, but knows shit about manga demographics and wonders how the fuck Naruto and Sasuke gave birth to Boruto because in her eyes that little piece of shit has to be their son.
So once again, it all comes back to Kishimoto and his decision sell his soul to Jump. Was it all for fame or money? Was he too hopeful and naïve? Was it all a cruel prank?
What happened to mangakas like Tezuka? That man knew no limits.
That’s it for my thoughts on and interactions with the fandom. I think I leave my evolution as a sns stan for later if you’re interested in it.
