Because the kizu movie had CR subs they translated some things different which did give me whiplash when they translated oshino meme’s catch phrase not as “you seem energetic, did something good happen?” To something I currently remember as “you’re sassy, did something good happen?” Which holds different undertones it has opposed to the other more usual way that’s translated.

not sure if what i’m gonna try to get across makes sense, but something i really like thinking about is megumi's relationship with his shikigami — and particularly the divine dogs across multiple verses i have.

like, of course they act based upon megumi’s orders without needing to be explicitly told what to do — he doesn’t need to say anything, they just know. they’re also not really necessarily exact extensions of megumi’s personality or anything, like i feel like they have their own personalities, but i do think they’re very cognizant of his internalized feelings and can react accordingly.

i like to translate this into non-sorcerer verses in a way — i always imagine that megumi always has kuro and shiro in any kind of au, and to varying degrees they remain very cognizant of his feelings. i think that it’s easy for an onlooker to just assume that megumi has some energetic animals that balances his general air of calm collectedness or even apathy, but it can be very telling if they start to act a certain way.

like, zoomies when megumi’s in a good mood (maybe even… happy—), even if he’s not necessarily expressing it. they’ll be more affectionate and protective toward people megumi really cares about, but they’ll stay very close to megumi’s side when he’s more upset than usual.

with regard to their personalities — i think both dogs are generally very sweet, very attentive, and do tasks well. shiro i think has a bit more of a soft side, a little more cuddly and a little more laid back. i have this image of non-sorcerer au megumi having to carry shiro sometimes because he’s a little bit of a princess and when walk-time is over, it’s over, regardless of where he is. kuro is considerably more active, easier to excite, a bit more sassy, but also takes his “work” very seriously (be it doing tricks for treats or protecting megumi or attacking a cursed spirit).

So swapfell is the purple one! It’s the swapped version of underfell. My swapfell boys are mal and cash! I can give a little rundown of thier personalities

Mal (swapfell sans): think of someone who’s the sassy and both a prude and a goofball at the same time and you’ll get mal! He’s very strict about things like homekeeping, work, and reputation but when he plays, he plays hard! Mal’s number one form of affection is teasing and sassing his friends. He just enjoys the drama of it and will be even more happy if they sass him back. Basically the guy who acts mad but he’s actually really into it.

Cash (swapfell papyrus): his default setting is playful. Cash is always just here to have a good time. And he doesn’t care about any rules that get in the way. Sure he has morals, but they don’t exactly line up with the law lol. He can be impulsive and isn’t the kind of guy who thinks things through when he sees the next shiny thing. Cash is a sweetheart who does genuinely care about people. He just struggles to show it.

Fellswap, also called fellswap red is the most common one. It’s the one where the sans is loud and grumpy and the papyrus is loyal like a “dog”. It also has the red and black theme. It’s supposed to be the fell version of underswap

Lord (fellswap red sans): lord is a very serious soul. He can be quite grumpy and pessimistic but that’s just a font to hide the anxious sweetheart underneath. Lord is very caring and motherly towards those he loves but growing up in a fell world made it every hard for him to let that side show. Lord is more of an introvert but does perk up around energetic personalities

Mutt (fellswap red papyrus): around strangers mutt is cold and unfeeling. He’s uninterested in making friends or playing nice to anyone he has no connection with. When someone actually does wiggle into his heart, he’s a total sap. Mutt is very affectionate and gentle with those he loves. He has a cheesy side and enjoys flustering people. If mutt likes you, he’s real mindful about feelings and boundaries. If he doesn’t, then he literally does not care what you think.

Fellswap gold is a different version of fellswap where it’s a sort of more political and ‘Cold War’ setting. The sans is portrayed as much older and more tired and the papyrus is meek and timid. It still follows the red and black scheme with more yellow added in.

Wine (fellswap gold sans): wine is the perfect politician. He always seems to know just what to say to sway those around him. He prefers to play the popular game rather than fight his way to the top, but he’s more than capable of defending himself. Around strangers wine is pleasant and acts as the perfect host. With trusted friends he’s sassy and a bit crude. Wine has a taste for the finer things in life but only lets his gremlin side show when he’s comfortable. He’s extremly nosy and always seems to know everyone’s buisness.

Coffee (fellswap gold papyrus): around strangers he’s meek and timid. Coffee prefers to blend into the background and just observe. He’s not weak though and can be just as ruthless as his brother when cornered. Around trusted friends/loved ones, coffee is playful and a bit of a little devil. He has a well hidden bratty side lol. Coffee is very much a mother hen but couldn’t compete with his brother, so he turns that on his friends.

Exemplar #1: F. B.

Every “strict conservative middle aged guy” stereotype in the book. Control freak, makes a mountain out of every molehill, sees the world as full of axe murderers, judgemental as fuck, horrible temper and yet completely impersonable, all his opinions are copypasted from right-wing news sites. When they say war is good he’s for war, and when they say war is bad he’ll be like “At least Trump did not start any more wars” without perceiving a contradiction. Despite this, he believes is very hot, principled and funny. He is none of these things. He puts people down nonstop. My knowledge of neurochemistry tells me that he must have emotions somewhere or he couldn’t function, but I ain’t ever seen a single one of those emotions. They’re all for his job and a few trusted mentor figures. And his mom. At least he loved her.

If you say anything he doesn’t like, he “throws the sofa out the window” as his wife once put it.

How he’s a Type 6:

Well, he’s pretty much every negative stereotype in a nutshell… other than distrusting his partner. But that might be cause hes sx blind, or cause the wife is big on monogamy & wouldn’t ever cheat.

The one positive trait of 6 that he has is that he does his research. Before moving anywhere he googles the crime rates and if you need a doctor he might find you the best one. But even that can be overriden by ideology (hydroxychloroquine!). And if you don’t take his exact advice, there goes the sofa out the window again…

And I guess the work ethic from all 3 parts of the trifix really comes through – he hasn’t had a single bad grade in his life and always keeps collecting new certifications, and will make sure you hear about it...

How she’s a Type 6:

She has saved our family from many a terrible restaurant by making sure to check the reviews. The preparing for all possible dangers is very 6, the acting tough outwardly when youre inwardly anxious, the intellectual problem solving & some tendency towards organization/responsibility/ “logistic” intelligence.

One online test she took gave her 5w6 instead of 6w5 but that’s probably just the ITxx-ness leaking in. I remember this one time we were discussing this artsy-fartsy theater play to which we’d had fascinatingly different reactions, and at one point I half-jokingly said something like “But does anyone ever really feel connected to others, or is that a myth?” to which she wrote, “[Name], what the fuck? Yes I do.” and then immediately deleted it. That’s more of a 6 reaction innit?

Nonetheless the wing does feature in significantly – for example she got very well informed about a lot of topics because she researched them to assuage a random survival-related fear, like, “How to make sure I have enough retirement money”

Precious! Sweet, nice, good listener, friendly, gives all the best gifts. But also perceptive and good at understanding people, eg. mediating to the parents when one of the younger sisters is having An Emotion™ or winning the trust of problem children.

Unlike I. Who has some soc that helps her keep track of a larger circle of friends despite her introversion, M. tends to enjoy the closeness with her family and have just a few very close friends. Excellent friend material all around! The sx and Se also come out in enjoying art forms involving the body like theatre or dance.

She can be a bit shy, conflict-avoidant and occasionally a lil bit panicky though.

As a small kid she used to be super duper shy but then a wise english teacher encouraged her to play a big role in a play, and since then she’s a lot more confident and doesn’t let ppl push her around without limit, though she’s still a quiet, helpful person. There you see the difference that a good teacher can make.

How she’s a Type 6:

For one thing she moves and emotes faster than a core 9 would, and she fits the body language – big eyes that move around a lot, stands a bit lopsided, talks in a shrill voice on the rare occasions where we exhaust her patience etc. As a xSFx and a w7 she shows mostly the “warm, friendly, likeable” side of type 6. She also has a very 6-ish tendency to very frequently ask people’s opinions & feedback before making decisions. (the other fixes probably add to this)

Alas, she also has a little bit of of the fear/insecurity.

Also she has a social/care job which might be seen as 6-ish desire to serve the community.

What she’s like:

The first adjective that usually comes to my mind is ‘cool’. Sassy, energetic & a little bit tough, but also affectionate when she wants to be. (though in admiring way rather than a mushy one)

She says the coolest things, has a certain sly sort of cleverness, and an astonishly good poker face. Bit of an occasional prankster. Hilarious. Knows all sort of cool science facts. Avid gamer. 

Not especially popular or over the top sociable, but she gets sad if no one pays attention to her a while. Will act visibly moody where ppl can see sad or worried and can catastrophize a bit in such situations.

How she’s a Type 6:

I first though we might be getting an ExxP type 7 since she was a pretty energetic child, but once puberty hit and independent thought manifested, she turned out a whole lot too reactive and ‘edgy’ for this, and more on the ‘moderate introvert’ side of things.

Since then the sisterly dynamic has been like one fluffy golden dog and 3 hissing black cats. Hissing Cats #1 and #2 are very proud of her, but cat #1 was forced to conclude that she’s probably not a positive outlook type.

Out of all the reactive types 6 fits best because she does broadcast group identity (like wearing merchandise of her favorite media and wearing buttons in solidarity with ppl she likes.) & has a big case of Big Sibling worship for M, I, and someone else who isn’t on this list due to being a 9. (a 4 or 8 might like their older siblings but probably wouldn’t constantly stress the admiration.), but she can also show lasting, pouty displeasure with authority figures who have slighted her. (Like that one time I went too far in teasing her...)

I’m just assuming the 8 fix because that tends to make 6s more bold, louder & more shameless.

Basically she is the “punk teen” type of 6. She can be a bit dramatic & over-the top but still come to her family on advice (even advice on pranks!) in ways that xSTPs of other enneagrams prolly wouldn’t.

She also tends to use self-deprecating humor in tough situations and deflects compliments to present herself as ‘ordinary’.

This may sound like I’m really getting down on my first example (I won’t pretend that I’m not) but the point in bringing him up is that the reason he’s like this is: He was subject to really bad parenting that put a lot of fear into him, there was no good parenting to teach him broader coping strategies, he lived in a crappy environment that crushed his dreams, in a sense ‘confirming’ those fears and making him double down, resulting in a person who is just always rigidly following the same predictable pattern or jumping from one automatic reaction to the next with very little pausing and thinking. That goes for the other types too: A ‘stereotypical’ person is a desperate person ruled by fear, who cant stop or soften up even for an instant cause they constantly feel this fire of threat under their arse.

A lot of descriptions say that 6s ‘Follow authority’ but most would balk at the notion – ‘I do the research!’ they might argue ‘I don’t just trust anyone’ or ‘I’m actually a rebel’. There is of course such a thing as denial  that’s more like the extreme case.

But with a more average, functional 6 it’s not so much ‘obedience’ as that they just like to bounce their ideas off of others to get feedback, or that they feature in other’s viewpoints. So you might get someone who can naturally use feedback (something other ppl may have to learn first) or who is very considerate of others (which others might have to consciously remind themselves to do.)

Those are sometimes pretty good traits actually.

On the other hand this is probably part of what makes decisions hard cause they consider all these possible scenarios of how things might displease or cause harm to everyone involved.

Being able to naturally snap into Action Mode under stress looks a bit enviable from the outside, but I. assures me that it’s actually super stressful & exhausting, even for someone who doesn’t get to a point of just being unreasonably aggro at you.

Though even an extreme case like F.B. would probably claim that he ‘did the research’ even as he’s 1:1 quoting the Pope at you, and then saying that you ‘have to be respectful’ even if you don’t even believe in Christianity. Hence why you get a lot of authoritarians talking about “disrespect”. You didn’t “fail to obey”, you “disrespected the flag” or  “hurt the feelings of the Chinese people”. Because they’re still trying or inwardly thinking that they’re doing the consideritation & considering other’s PoV thing when they’ve long since crossed from respect and consideration into mindless obedience, all while still thinking that they’re very sceptical and discerning cause after all they really distrust the other political party or whatever.  

In a way you get this obsession with ‘mind control’ cause they’re not unaware of & very much looking to guard the blind spot. They’re adults trying to do adult things.

For example, if I voiced an opinion to F. B. which he didn’t like, his reaction was often to ask “who told you that”

That’s just how he seems to think opinions work, somebody tells them to you.

Makes one wonder how he thinks new opinions start.

Yeah - Nobody told me that. I concocted it myself in some corner of my head. And in the interest of objectivity, I should stress that you can also end talking out of your ass that way, if you’re not basing it on enough outside data. Making up new shit has more of a quadratic than a linear learning curve – at least with copying you get something semi-useful right away. In making up your own you might be really off a long time before you stumble on something useful.

Also, I was young at the time and it’s not wholly unreasobale to think that an inexperienced person might be duped. I reacted really badly in part cause he hit my own ego buttons cause I was of course proud of this epiphany that I had concocted by myself, and now he says (or so I perceived it, being sensitive to accusations of incompetence) that I’m too dumb to form an opinion, so of course I launched into full Obnoxious Reddit Dude Mode.

In I. It manifests more on a reasonable useful level like “Oh wait, should [young cousin] be on TikTok? I don’t want him to get sucked into some cultish BS.” which is at least something the parents should have on the radar/ warn him about even if they do let him use TikTok, because for all that it is vital for him to get his experience with independent socializing & experimentig with sel-presentation, people do sometimes get suckered into cults or goaded into unsafe tests of courage.

And in a sense… maybe they overamphasize it but to some extent they’re also simply consciously aware/ mindful of it. The rest of us are not immune to propaganda after all, solong as it’s presented in a way pleasing to our egos. Any type structure can become a ‘hook’ if you’re not careful.

When the manager told him separately from the members about the special stage with his crush he would definitely ask the members for advice since he wouldn’t know how to act towards you.

So because of the nerves the first few days it was not really awkward but more quiet. You two fit together in that way, since you were also shy around new people. BTS American Hustle Life Ep8

Episode 7 recap:

It started with a basketball game; Tony, Jungkook, Jimin, and J-Hope VS Nate, Suga, V, and Jin. Tony’s team won by a point and the punishment was Nate’s team had to buy ice cream for everyone. The next day BTS were dragged out of their beds and sent away to experience ‘working for a living’. RM and Suga joined housekeeping in a hotel, Jimin and Jungkook went to an airfield where they had to clean workshops and planes, Suga, V, and Jin ended up on a yacht and had to clean, polish, and varnish it ready for an event. At the working day they got ‘paid’ and Tony told them they were going to use the money to buy food for people on Skid Row.

While the end was a really good lesson in ‘giving back’ the rest of the episode was not so good viewing. IMO they really wasted an opportunity by not telling BTS that they were going to work – if they had they probably wouldn’t have treated it like a game. If they had taken it more seriously then it would really have put the “earning money” and “giving back” aspects into proper perspective. But it was what is was.

Anyway on to the final episode!

So BTS are getting dragged out of bed again. Did they get any decent sleep this trip? Poor V – he’s been the hardest to get out of bed each time lol.

So their last challenge is to create the best hip hop performance they can using their learned skills.

As a band they set to work on their lyrics for regulate – I’m pretty sure they don’t normally work on lyrics altogether – too many cooks spoil the broth etc - so this maybe made it harder for them. LMAO at V who wanted to include an audience aspect with, “I say V, you say The Best” and RM saying if they weren’t on camera he would have cussed him. LOL the sass and confidence of JK putting a hand across his hyung’s (Suga’s) mouth.

So Suga and RM are in charge (by rights of earning the most money last ep). Suga gives Jin and J-Hope the task of printing hand-outs, while Jimin, V, and Jungkook (the Maknae Line!) are to hand them out and promote the show.

Why do I think these were the worst three to promote anything *crying with laughter emoji*. Haha V ends up being shyer than Jungkook.

In fact, Jungkook does rather well with the promotion!

I like the little bit of behind the scenes where they clap to indicate the cameras are rolling. Jungkook really got into it lol. They clearly did other promotion for the show (and relied on their already established international fans?) because I’m calling it out that that amount of people were not the skills of Jimin, V, and, Jungkook on the street lol.

I wonder how nervous BTS really felt about shows at this point. It’s 2014 and they’ve played in quite a few shows at this point and I think been on TV? They have even been to Japan. So they were new but not that new? No doubt there will always be some nerves ahead of a show, it’s only natural, but there’s a difference between feeling antsy and feeling ill. I wonder who out of all the band had the worst nerves and who had the least nerves and why. Questions questions.

So this is really my first time seeing them perform on stage, concert style. I’ve never been much of a fan of rap but I actually quite enjoyed their music – they have some great choruses that you can’t help singing along to. What else can I say? They are well styled. Their performance is polished. Everyone sings confidently. Suga is really good at rapping. Their dancing is on point. They are a great band and it is clear why they made it.

I’m impressed at Jungkook’s stage presence – he’s confident and one of the lead vocals despite being quite shy behind the scenes. Also, I noted Jimin has some versatility to his voice! I thought he was mainly the “high vocal” of the group but I saw one bit in that concert where he had a strong middle range. I’d be interested to see him rapping.

Regulate: Turned out pretty nicely, guys! The dance challenge: Ah ha ha ha actually it was quite fun to watch. I be the audience were like ????? though lol

RM and Jimin killed their bboying. RM needs extra kudos for his efforts.

LOL, Jin and J-Hope tried with their beatboxing – lovely of Fraahz to join them on stage.

OMG Suga, V, and Jungkook’s ‘Oh Happy Day’ was great! It was polished and Jungkook, what a marvellous tone you have – he made all the notes, just cracking!!! <3

All in all, it’s clear the lads have a lot of fun on stage and it’s lovely to see their confidence shine. “Same love” was, again, polished and full of high energy, and so was “No More Dream”, it’s easy to see why BTS made it so big. They have great stage presence, their music is interesting, their performances are energetic, their personalities are fun and engaging, they all seem to really care about each other and are not afraid to show affection (which is a wonderful Korean charm), they work hard, they are polite and friendly, and they seem to have a lot of fun which means we have a lot of fun. They tick pretty much every box for success – well deserved success.

So it’s the last day and they are all packing up. They say some really nice things to Tony and Nate. It’s clear they all got on well and that the two gentlemen made it easier for the band to enjoy their time. Perhaps RM was the most honest when he said there was a lot of hardwork. I think there probably was – more than the camera showed. There was probably some home sickness in the mix as well - 21 days in a foreign country and not able to speak the language must have been quite hard.

 Overall Series Musings.

 I’m not going to lie, there were some seriously cringy moments in this series and a lot of episodes I wouldn’t care to re-watch because of that. However, there were some absolutely magical moments too and some comedy gold. We got to see more of the lads’ personalities and they are thoroughly delightful; all seven of them are fun, playful, affectionate, decent, energetic, interesting, polite, charming, sassy, talented yet beautifully flawed, awkward and just perfectly human. The list is really endless, and I know I’ve fallen even more in love with them because of it. I can certainly see why they won the world over.

Things I have learned and/or observed about the members thus far: Jin is not a natural dancer but if he’s motivated – like when he didn’t want to let J-Hope down – he will work his butt off and his hard work really shows in the end. He’s quite awkward at times and that spills into some of his craft. We learned he had been working towards a career in acting before BTS and that he has a brother who is into hip hop. As the band is so busy he hasn’t even seen the families’ new house. His role in BTS at this point seems to be a bit of parent figure for the younger members.

Suga is quite nervous of woman – like unexpectedly so – worse than Jungkook! I don’t know why this surprised me so much. Does this nervousness around women mean anything? No. Not on it’s own. I’ve just filed it away in my brain in case there is anything else that might connect to it at a later date. Anyway, what else did we learn about Suga? He’s a hard worker and a kind of ‘just gets on with it’ guy. He has a nice affinity with the younger ones, which was a little absent in previous series. This time he spent a lot of time with V and Jungkook and he was pretty soft and indulgent of them. It was lovely to see. His roles in the band are lead rapper and a song writer.  

J-Hope is a literal ball of sunshine. He is also a seriously talented dancer and I was a little taken aback that the band considered him their strongest dancer – that never came across in Carpool Karaoke. He admitted that as a trainee he had felt quite remote from the band as everyone else was a rapper, although I wonder if this was before Jimin joined? J-Hope is really quite talented all round – doing really well with all the challenges – except basketball. His roles in the band are lead dancer and the positivity/glue guy.

RM was RM. I don’t feel we learned as much about him as we did the others. Don’t get me wrong, he was front and centre but I didn’t feel we got to go too deep with him – either that or we’ve learned a lot about him already and there was little new. What did come across is that he is under a lot of pressure and that he cares what other’s think of him. He also wants to care less about what others think of him. His role is still as leader of the band.

Jimin is simply a lovable little ball of energy and laughter. Supposedly he has a temper but even when he’s ‘supposedly mad’ he is laughing about it. It’s hard to talk that seriously. Even the tutor, Tony, fell a little in love with Chim Chim. What else did we learn about Jimin? Well he was definitely calmer than in previous series – although he was still plenty loud. What really came through is that he is a hard worker and can knuckle down. His role is main dancer, high vocals, and comic relief.

V is… a lot of things. He’s overly affectionate at times, wonderfully weird, very random, a little spacey, not always the sharpest tool in the shed when it comes to certain things, surprising shy in some situations, and a bit of a sensitive soul. Quite frankly I have a real soft spot for this goofball. His role is a little less obvious but I’m thinking low vocals, face of the band, and the mystery guy.

Jungkook, the maknae, is growing – both literally (I swear he grew several inches between ep1 and ep8 alone and is constantly hungry) and figuratively (his personality is blossoming). He has come out of his shell somewhat – still shy (and nervous of woman) at times – but also surprisingly brave in other situations and growing quite sassy. I think he is more comfortable behind the camera rather in front of it and I hope he gets the chance to be creative with that in the future. His role is main vocalist.

Band relations:      

Some of the musings I made in previous series have been proven right while there are many that I perhaps read too much into. We really started to see the inner friendships more in this series so that has helped put behaviours into better perspective. I think J-Hope and Jin are really tight, they spent a lot of time together and had an ease of two people that had known each other for years. They clearly have a close brotherly bond and it’s just lovely to see. Suga, to my surprise, spent a lot of time with the younger ones in this series and he really indulged them. In fact, he did a great job looking after them and played on their level in a way that made it easy to forget he is their hyung. My new observation for him is that he maybe doesn’t care too much for convention? He is unapologetically him and that’s that, which I take my hat off to. RM and Jimin made a surprisingly great unit – RM is really good with Jimin, even if his (lack) of dancing skills frustrates the younger one at times. RM respects everyone and he gives people time, which I think Jimin needs? Also, I think they get on particularly well because they are quite similar in work ethics and principles. Towards the end we saw Jimin partnered with Jungkook. I can’t put my finger yet on a proper description for their bond. They are certainly comfortable around each other – and get on well and hang out a lot - but they don’t have the same ‘brotherly vibe’ as say RM and Jimin. Jungkook also treats Jimin more like he’s the same age as him. I wouldn’t say he’s disrespectful but there is a lot of teasing and a noticeable lack of honorific behaviour. I also can’t explain why but their bond has not got the same feel as Jungkook’s and V’s relationship, in which Jungkook also treats V as though they are the same age. However, there is a notable warm brotherly vibe between V and Jungkook and certainly more obvious respect from Jungkook’s side. I don’t know... Maybe it’s just the way the programme was edited or maybe I’m talking out my *** I just get frustrated when I can’t explain something. I suppose it didn’t help that Carpool Karaoke didn’t show much of their individual bonds in later life. I guess I’ll find out as we go along whether Jimin and Jungkook have a really close but unique bond or whether they are secret enemies lol.

The next programme on my list is BTS Go! According to Wiki, this seems to be from 2014 too. However, I recently came across the existence of the BTS Youtube channel where they have hundreds of videos from backstage dating back to 2013! What I think I will do is watch and muse over BTS Go first and then watch all the videos up to the end of 2014 on their Youtube account and then muse over what I see there and what I’ve seen in the tv programmes so far. I expect their personalities and bonds are more candid in the behind the scenes videos so I’m looking forward to seeing those in particular.

Ron - how straightforward and loyal he is. Those are two things, are they? I don't think I’ll be very good at this

Percy - I admire that he as ambitious and stubborn enough to get where he wanted to be in life and never let anyone's opinions about him get in the way. Those traits also betrayed him in the end but as soon as he realized that he changed his ways which I respect a lot too. And I don't like how a lot of people just see him as a stuck up nerd while (maybe not as much as the others due to his job) he had fun too. He had his passions, he liked Quidditch a lot and spend time with his siblings (like playing chess with Ron and Harry)

Colin - well truth being told I just find him cute. He was determined, stubborn and always so excited (even if a bit clueless at times lmao)

Sniff - one of THOSE characters where I feel like I should start this off by saying that yes I do realise he was a selfish coward BUT- for real I feel like he doesn't get enough credit even in canon. He sticks with the group despite being terrified and often tries to contribute which doesn't sound like a lot but my boi is scared of like everything so I'm still proud 😌

Varian - behold! The dork✨ I like him for his determination, how logical he is and passionate about what he does. He is an awkward dork, but like,, MY awkward dork alright?

Carlos - haven't thought about him in a while but I do like how smart he is, especially in the book. And like other basic stuff you are probably tired of hearing from me by now so - determined, creative and genuinely interesting as a person

Chuck - he’s somewhat rational (doesn't mean not panicky but hey, when you know you’re going to get killed you run. My f/os just always do so in the wrong direction, huh?) and logical. Speaks his mind and often is quite funny too. And I like how as much as he doesn't seem to he cares a lot about his friends and family

America - (as in,, the Hetalia character) oh boy, he is just so energetic and passionate I can't even. Not always the smartest for sure but I mean,, the heart’s still there right?

Horace - aka. I love you but sometimes you could just shut up. I mean, he can be sassy/snarky but also not be an asshole which I appreciate. I know he’s a hypocrite sometimes (the whole scaring the girls thing only to spend next two books shitting his pants about the same thing) and has absolutely no street smarts but I still like him and I think he’s mentally strong. He helps as much as he can and genuinely cares for his friends/family

Toralei - I love my edgy wife okay? So I like her for being real, for being funny, for saying her witty comments and making all those pranks because we stan

Zenitsu - well, he’s quite honest and affectionate, definitely needs more appreciation too. And uh,, I just think he’s cute

Merula - she’s brave and ambitious, I know she can be an ass but she cares deep down and I'm proud of her going out of her comfort zone to show it whenever she does. She’s also honest with her opinions and bold enough to say what's on her mind

Luz - I love her for her creativity and how she always looked for something magical in her life to fulfil her dreams the best she could, like working towards being an author. She’s also very interesting to listen to and funny

Zoe - she’s a huge dork and I love her for that. She’s so casual and always proudly speaking about her hobbies and sharing her art and writing with others. She also isn't judgemental and her getting so dang excited about stuff is just too adorable

Richie - he’s funny, ambitious, smart and honest. He actually cares about his friends a lot too and no despite being scared he really tries to help (yeah I know he was also an ass in case you think I don't)

Ted - oh aren't you tired of me gushing about this fictional asshole? Well it's not my problem because he lives in both my heart and head rent-free now. So now that I'm at least a bit better after nightmare time I would like to add to my mental list of why I love this man the fact that he is ready to risk his own life for the woman he met recently because she gives him affection and makes him happy. And he cares a lot, sometimes more than the other person even if he isn't all that easy or used to expressing that like, at all. Plus he’s very self-aware and I already said that but also funny and interesting and seems like someone just cool to be around

Alternate Next Gen (Frontier Brains): Hana Hachiku-Itsuki

Hana is the daughter of Erika and Sabrina and is the youngest of the Hachiku-Itsuki sisters. Hana had spent a lot of her time with Erika instead of Sabrina, Brycen or Will so she’s a lot closer to her birth mother, as such she takes a big interest in gardening, flower arranging and she knows how to make perfumes. While she did inherit Sabrina’s psychic abilities, she mostly uses them defensively by creating a barrier to protect herself and others or will simply teleport away, she will rarely use them to attack someone unless they make her angry. Hana and her half sisters were known for their impressive battle skills and following the types their parents had choose to special in, their skills in battling had been heard by Lazarus who wished for them to join his Battle Frontier, Hana was the first one who accepted the offer and doesn’t regret accepting the offer. Hana is a very polite and kind hearted person who is compared to a princess much like her mother Erika and just like her mother she enjoys using Grass type Pokemon and she finds Grass types of all kind to be cute despite what someone might say about how one isn’t as cute as other Grass types. It doesn’t happen often but Hana does have a temper that mostly comes out if someone insults Grass types or any perfume she makes, unlike her mother she doesn’t ban anyone who insults Grass types or her perfume from challenging her as she would rather prove to them that her Grass types can win against someone who looks down on her and what she does and likes. 

Her Pokemon:

Serperior- Serperior was caught by Hana when she was a Snivy. Serperior had a trainer before Hana but she decided her previous trainer wasn’t up to her standards and quickly left after destroying her Pokeball. When she saw Hana she saw some potential and figured she would be a better trainer for her so she let herself be caught by Hana’s Pokeball and she doesn’t regret her choice in a trainer. Serperior has a calm and cool demeanor much like her species but she also holds herself as a queen which first started shortly after she became a Serperior. Serperior takes great pride in her speed and always trains herself to be faster than any other Serperior. Despite how she can be haughty and maybe even too prideful, she still cares for her teammates and her trainer as she is their leader and she feels she has to watch over them and make sure they’re doing okay. She views herself as the sole protector of her team and the one everyone has to depend on when things go wrong and she takes pride in that role. She takes pride in her sharp glare and if she meets an opponent who isn’t fazed by her glare she’ll gain respect for them and will attack without holding back. Serperior relies on her speed during a battle, she also takes advantage of her ability Contrary when it comes to using Leaf Storm, she hits hard and moves fast.

Victreebel- Hana’s Victreebel was caught after Hana had battled her and shown some potential to be part of her team. Despite Victreebel’s looks, she’s a very caring and gentle Pokemon who wants to be friends with another person however it’s because of how she looks and how people know of her species that they end up running from her and it’s because Hana wasn’t afraid of her that she didn’t mind getting caught by Hana. Victreebel works hard to stay with her trainer even if she doesn’t really have to but she’s determined not to let her trainer down so she often trains harder with her teammates. Victreebel enjoys laying in the sun or being in the sun in general when she isn’t training, even being excited when she learned how to use Sunny Day when she was with Hana. Victreebel is affectionate and will always lay against Hana and nuzzle against her when she’s happy. Victreebel relies on using Sunny Day to boost her speed thanks to her ability and to charge her Solar Beam faster, she mostly uses her moves to stall her opponents and give herself and edge.

Lilligant- Hana had caught Lilligant when she was a Petilil before finding a Sun Stone and having her evolve into Lilligant. As a Petilil, Lilligant was very shy and nervous around her teammates with the only one she got along with were Tsareena as a Bounsweet, Leafeon as a Eevee and Lurantis as a Fomantis as they were the same height as her and didn’t look as scary as Serperior or Victreebel. After being caught, Lilligant had went through a lot of training to catch up to her other teammates and when she was ready to evolve Hana had given her a Sun Stone. When she evolved, she felt a lot more confident in herself and started taking up dancing, especially after learning how to use Petal Dance. When she isn’t battling, she enjoys being with Tsareena, Leafeon and Lurantis or she’ll be taken care of by Hana. Lilligant has the most beautiful flower thanks to the care Hana has given her and she’s always happy to be pampered by Hana. Lilligant’s battle style relies more on her skills in dancing as well as stalling her opponents, as well as disabling them and keeping them from attacking.

Moves are Sleep Powder, Dream Eater, Petal Dance, Energy Ball, Pollen Puff, Double Team, Giga Drain, Attract, Quiver Dance and Teeter Dance.

Tsareena- Tsareena was caught by Hana when she was a Bounsweet. As a Bounsweet, Tsareena was a cheerful and upbeat Pokemon who always wanted to see her teammates and trainer smile which she would do by releasing her Sweet Scent for them or just hopping around to make them laugh. When she evolved into Steenee, she started getting a bit of a tomboy streak but she would still go out of her way to make the others smile. After evolving into Tsareena, she became a bit cruel around others but still has her sweet side but only when she’s near her trainer or with her friends. Tsareena also gained a very big protective streak and will always kick or stomp on someone who insults her trainer when Hana isn’t looking. Tsareena is also very picky and sassy, often refusing to let anyone aside from Hana approach or give her food and she’s very reserved, the only other people she likes are Hana’s half sisters, anyone else will often get a flick from her hair if they try talking to her or a kick from her. Tsareena relies on her legs during battle, as well as her high Attack. She’ll also use her charms to weaken her opponent’s will to fight.

Leafeon- Leafeon was caught as an Eevee and she had evolved after being exposed into a Leaf Stone. Leafeon is a lot different from other Leafeon, she isn’t a pacifist and enjoys fighting to protect herself which was something she did a lot when she was an Eevee, Hana doesn’t mind how her Leafeon is different and encourages her to battle however she wishes. While Leafeon is a lot more fierce than a normal Leafeon, she still cares a lot about her teammates and her trainer and shows her gentle side near them and only them, anyone else she’ll glare and growl at them unless she trusts them. Leafeon is rarely close to anyone else aside from her trainer and her teammates but she did warm up to Lazarus as technically he is her trainer’s boss and she does like being around him. Even if she does like Lazarus, she still prefers to be near Hana and only allows Hana to groom and pet her when they aren’t training. Her battle style is to attack as hard and as fast as she can thanks to her ability, as well as using the sun to help her. She also supports her teammates when she can by passing her stat changes to them.

Moves are Sunny Day, Leaf Blade, Solar Blade, Synthesis, Swords Dance, Baton Pass, Bullet Seed, Retaliate, Double Team and Fury Cutter.

Lurantis- Lurantis was caught by Hana when she was a Fomantis. As a Fomantis, Lurantis was very sleepy and would mostly fall asleep instead of train but after a while she had gotten used to training and would be able to stay up later but she would still take a nap after a while of training. After evolving, she became much more energetic and cheerful to the point she will often dance as she moves around. Lurantis gets along great with Lilligant and the two of them always get together when Hana is ready to groom them as both of them take a lot of care to be groomed in order to keep up their great appearances. Lurantis fully trusts Hana to groom her daily when they don’t have an opponent to face. Lurantis enjoys battling with her teammates and alongside her trainer, she sees battles as a dance and will often match herself with her opponent to confuse them by dancing as she battles, she takes mental notes from Sophie and her Pokemon and often copies what they do while she battles. -Oh boy, here we go, the gosh darn king of the entire franchise (metaphorically speaking, but he owns so much of the continent, he might as well be king). This dude is That Bitch™️ basically. This also has so much made up lore like goddang me, calm down.

-Anyways, Louis Bianchi (or Papa Louie, as he’s affectionately referred to as by just about everyone) is the 47 year old hot-shot restauranteur and mayor of Tastyville, but he also owns territories and buildings all over the continent. He lives with his 24 year old niece, Joy, and his 21 year old nephew, Roy, in a suburban house close to the Tastyville apartment complex he owns.

-In news stories and articles all over the place, Papa is painted as some sort of saint, a kind and hardworking man who always has the best interests of the people in mind. This is very true, as he is both a friendly people pleaser, but Joy and Mitch can easily describe him as more passive aggressive. From basically stalking people he believes are down on their luck, duping many into jobs and schemes, and even casually insulting people, many workers can definitely agree. Although he is much softer of a person with his beloved nephew and the workers after a certain period of time, he can just flip flop between his mischievous side and his fatherly side just like that. He’s certainly a character.

-Little to nothing is known about his past. His education, family, and upbringing are a complete mystery. Papa has burned what little childhood photos and trinkets he has in order to never remember this, which suggests that his life prior to opening restaurants was not a happy time. He and his brother, Guy Mortadello (who is also the father of Roy and Joy), never speak of this nor do they ever admit to even being related, hence why nobody makes the connections. However, after cleaning the attic, Roy secretly did stumble upon a photo of two parents, a pair of boys who looked to be twins, and an unknown brunette holding two babies. All the faces are scratched out, but he could definitely recognize a certain birthmark one of the twins’ neck.

-Papa hates old chain fast food restaurants that are still running. Not because they’re competitors, but because their food quality is much poorer and he hates mascots. Like he will throw hands with Ronald McDonald, Sassy Wendy’s, and even Jollibee behind the Fluffmart.

-He wanted Guy Mortadello to be his business partner after papers began badmouthing the latter’d foods’ slip in quality (which had been brought on by his inconsolable grief after his wife’s sudden passing). Mortadello, who had most likely suffered through an intense sibling rivalry, refused and not only kept his lackluster restaurants open, but he abandoned his children, too. Today, their rivalry still goes strong, but now that all of Mortadello’s restaurants have closed, he’s more open to the idea of being partners in crime, even allowing himself to be hired to help scam workers. They still hate each other though.

-Papa is a karaoke and lip syncing master. He can’t sing or dance very good, but the raw passion and emotion is there. Like imagine that Fresh Prince scene where Will is lip syncing to “And I Am Telling You”. That’s a simpler way to explain it.

-His slight favoritism of Roy may stem from Mortadello always feeling like the family’s black sheep, and he doesn’t want to let Roy go through that. It’s also because Roy is much more respectful and easier to chill with than Joy, who’s much too energetic and overconfident to have a humble conversation with. He still loves her, of course, but Roy’s the one who’s at his side most of the time.

-He always wakes up at 4 AM and goes to bed at midnight. That’s not healthy at all, but this dude can somehow survive on only 20 minutes of sleep. It seems to run in the family since Roy and Joy could also do this.

-When arguments break out at the weekly worker meetings, he doesn’t really do jack to stop them unless Roy or Joy is involved. He might say “stop” or “let’s calm down” occasionally, but he thinks his staff is mature enough to end it on their own (they aren’t). He just sits there with Prudence and Mitch eating popcorn while Rudy and Mandi argue, probably.

-I headcanon him as yelling like Gordon Ramsay, but with Mario’s voice, if that makes any sense. It makes me giggle when I think about him screaming “RAW”, but in Mario’s voice.

-He collects creepy porcelain figures in his free time, naming all of them after some sort of food. His hobbies also include mimicking Gordon Ramsay, glass blowing, pottery, stalking-I mean merely observing people he thinks are in financial trouble, or making Roy watch Food Network and Jeopardy with him.

-He likes to try to do gymnastics with Joy, but he always ends up failing miserably and with a cast on multiple limbs.

-Papa has an entire specialized hair care routine for his mustache. It takes two hours to complete.

-Why did I make so much dang lore about this dude? Also I cannot believe that Flipline Studios had the audacity to make my crush Taylor into a zombie after also making my boy Wally into one. Anyways, yeah I love Papa but now that I’m older, he’s kind of a prick honestly.

You do tend to be pretty sassy, witty and opinionated which he really does love because he likes to be challenged a bit, he doesn’t like to argue but he does like to debate and discuss different topics. He is fairly open to affection but doesn’t press PDA unless he knows that’s something you like, or at least something you aren’t uncomfortable with but even then, he’ll keep things fairly subtle.

But he will ask questions or show a bit of curiosity if he sees you doing something you like, such as seeing you drawing, reading, writing or anything like this, but casual questions like asking what you are reading or drawing. 

You are really hard working while he can be far more on the lazy side, that doesn’t mean he won’t do things or work when he needs to, but dislikes working all the time or constantly being busy. He doesn’t even care for high active or energetic activities such as sports or doing things like hiking, not only will he get bored of these things rather quickly but he’ll get tired relatively easily and it’s not that he’s physically out of shape because he is physically fit and perfectly capable but can flat out refuse to do things for too long and fake being worn out or tired. 

You can also be pretty sensitive though you truly have a big heart and have a bright outlook on life, which he can be kind of negative at times but he’s realistic and he will not sugar coat things if he feels like something is a bad idea or like something won’t turn out well. He is protective over you and not just when it comes to physical fights or battles but even when it comes to criticism or negative comments from others.

Xemnas – Okay,for boss man here I reckon his ideal type would be someone more on the feminineside (male or female ofc),  and someonewho’s a little more mature in terms of attitude. He’d also find it veryattractive if they were more innocent and sweet, someone who he feels like hecan protect. They’d also have to be pretty submissive too ofc, with Xemnasbeing superior and all. He likes to be in charge at all times. His ideal type would still have to remain independenthowever and also very patient, as the majority of Xemnas’ focus is directedtowards Kingdom Hearts, meaning he won’t have a lot of spare time, and so hewon’t always be there to spend time with his s/o.

Xigbar – Xiggywould definitely need someone who can handle his sarcastic and joking nature,so someone with a good sense of humour would be ideal. His ideal type would alsobe someone who can not only handle his joking banter without getting offended,but throw it back too. However,they would have to be a little more motivated than him, so that when Demyx getsa little bit too lazy they would beable to encourage him to actually make an effort. Luxord – I thinksomeone more mature and refined would suit him, yet someone who’s still able tojoke about and not take life too seriously, after all, life is just a game toLuxord. He’d also prefer someone more polite like himself, as bad manners andrude behaviour would definitely turn him off. Someone a lil more outgoing too,and chatty, since Luxord seems to enjoy talking a lot.

Marluxia –Someone who’s not a complete pushover tbh. They do have distinct personalities!! And though they are mainly in part inspired by Jenna’s dogs, they’re different!

His oldest, like Marbles, is a chihuahua (although she’s coffee coloured) named Starbucks, affectionately nicknamed Star by Virgil, who laughed for 10 minutes when he heard her name for the first time. She is extremely nervous, too intelligent for our mortal understanding, and she adores Virgil, probably more than Remy. Her favourite treat is peanut butter, and she has small dog syndrome so bad omg.

His second dog, middle child numero uno, is Miss Nunya, who is an unfortunately named black toy poodle. Remy was going through a stupid name phase when he got her, poor thing, so he did in fact do it just to make the pun to everyone who asked. she’s nicknamed Nina, and she’s a very sassy, always gets her own way spoiled little princess and she’s well loved even though she barks all the time.

Mango is a light coloured KC Spaniel, and she’s scientifically proven to be so sweet she gives you cavities.She’s very energetic, endearingly dumb and Remy loves her more than the earth is round. She’s Emiles number one fan, barks when his videos are playing, and races to the door to jump on him every time her walks through the door. Fun fact, when Emile was originally in the first draft, she was in his arms in every scene.

And finally the youngest child, every ones favourite pug puppy Sushi, who is completely black, a little bit tubby, and the laziest dog you will literally every meet. Total lap dog. Always cries. Hes a total attention seeker, and is completely food driven even though he doesn’t quite get the concept of dog training, so Remy literally does not let him off lead outside right now.
