Andy Biersack on Instagram, 01/05/2024.
My earliest memory of being scared is hearing “The Ballad of Sweeney Todd” from the original 1979 cast recording. I was both terrified and fascinated by Len Cariou’s portrayal. As a kid, I learned all the lyrics to songs like ‘Johanna’ and ‘My Friends’ and would sing them constantly. The 2007 film by Tim Burton only deepened my obsession and it became my dream to play Sweeney Todd in some capacity. The “Bleeders” music video fulfills this wish in so many ways. A huge thank you to @jensennoen and his incredible team for creating my favorite video we have ever done, to @erikron for helping us craft the song, to my BVB brothers for their passion, creativity and constant hard work, our label @spinefarmrecords for their full fledged support and belief in the concept, and to all of YOU for making it possible for us to do this in the first place. This project is a dream come true. More Girls on the Bus thoughts from 1x03 under the cut (this is very similar to my twitter thread if you already saw that, though this is a little longer):
Tumblr media
I feel ROBBED that we didn't get more of this scene. Sadie eats half of a THC chocolate bar, and all we see is her talking to Hunter S. Thompson and being a bit dizzy?
I really wasn't expecting her to go out in public again - and when she did, I thought something hilarious was going to happen. Or she'd end up in her hotel room lying down on the floor handing on for dear life. Really wanted more in this scene!
Tumblr media
THIS SHIP IS EVERYTHING!!! I love Lola and Josie 😭 They have decent chemistry, and I really just love seeing butches on TV, since it feels relatively rare to see that aspect of myself represented.
Really hoping Josie sticks around!
Tumblr media
I love how Lola genuinely doesn't think helping Sadie is a big deal. They're competitors! In a very cutthroat field! But they're also forming this friendship - Sadie was helping Lola with terminology earlier - and Lola is happy for this sort of mutual help.
Women helping women 💪
Tumblr media
Scott Foley had to have had a blast filming this 🤣
Sadie better not fucking sleep with him.
PLEASE SADIE.
PLEASE.
Tumblr media
I know I know, we're all Sadie/Saskia shippers at heart now.
But Sadie/Malcolm is really growing on me! I wasn't sure how I felt about Malcolm in the first two episodes, but their chemistry is really cute, and I'm getting the same sort of vibes I got from Meredith/Derek back in my Grey's Anatomy days.
It feels almost like a modernized take on that (I already commented before that Sadie herself feels like "Kara if she were on Grey's Anatomy", so I guess I'm going with that). Like, Grey's Anatomy wouldn't work today - Derek's persistent pursuit would be (rightfully) considered sexual harassment rather than cute - but this specific vibe of "we slept together, we shouldn't have, but we didn't know it at the time, but we still want to" feels like a successor of that dynamic to me.
Given that Sadie doesn't seem like the type for a committed relationship, I'm not sure where this is going to go, guess we'll see!
Tumblr media
DAMN YOU AND YOUR CLIFFHANGERS 😭
I'm not feeling great about Grace's plot and I'm feeling sort of meh about Kimberlyn's plot, so I haven't really talked about them here. Otherwise, though, I'm very much enjoying this show ❤️
Looking forward to learning exactly why all of them end up arrested!

The Unaired Two-Page Conversation
I think we're past the point of possible spoilers, so as promised: the 2pg book conversation that was cut for time (and realism). Originally, I was experimenting with "unsent" books as part of the conversations, but I thought it would ultimately be too confusing and opted not to use that, so anything you see with a strikethrough is an "unsent" book.

&&. announcing her majesty, ( saskia van oranje-nassau ), the ( 61 ) year old ( queen ) of ( the netherlands ). she is often confused with ( susanna thompson ). some say that she is ( conforming & unforgiving ), he is actually ( humble & humorous ). ( OOC: NORA )
i wasn’t going to but then i got fomo
i used to have a full bio for her but i deleted her blog and now i regret it
but basically she comes from a middle class family
started dating the crown prince of the netherlands thinking it would not go anywhere but one thing lead to another and they found themselves in a situation where they needed to think about the future
she has a degree in sociology
eventually decided to commit to coenraad
a royal wedding & femke came shortly afterwards
she’s the strict parent, mainly because coenraad can’t see their privilege as easily
she was the one who named armani... i’ve thought about this a lot and came to the conclusion that it had to be because of some petty joke or something. something like coenraad teasing her about her lack of fashion knowledge and then she said fuck you and named a kid after a designer whose style she would not be able to recognize
will slap bastiaan and olivier in the backs of their heads if they misbehave

Dooku: Jedi Lost
Tumblr media
I was really apprehensive about starting this book because I wasn’t entirely interested in knowing more about Dooku because what else is there to know? He’s got style, he’s got grace, and he’s a winner, he’s Count of Serenno. Anyway, I find that the books I think aren’t going to interest me are the ones I learn the most from.
Spoilers below.
First off, this isn’t actually a book. You can buy the script on Amazon but it is primarily available as an audio play of sorts. The script was written by Cavan Scott who has authored several books in the Star Wars literature. The run time is a little over 6 hours, so it’s a lot shorter than other books I’ve listened to in Star Wars canon (Catalyst and Bloodlines - covering those both later).
The basic plot summary is that Asajj Ventress learns about her master Count Dooku and his past from various sources, including his own recountings to her, communications between him and his sister, Jenza, as well as his holopad journal, while she is on a quest to find Jenza.
Notable things I learned about:
1) The Lost Twenty - Jedi Masters who became disillusioned with the Jedi Order. I remember this being mentioned in an Episode II: AOTC deleted scene but didn’t give much thought to it. There are many components of the Jedi Order that have perpetually perplex me, especially in light of the original trilogy and the sequel trilogy. The only stories we hear of the Force are those at the opposing ends - the lightest and the darkest. It would be something to see a story of balance. It’s a lot to ask of people to give up familial ties, to take children away from their families, but I also see the importance of learning how to balance one’s power in the Force, lest one becomes a danger to oneself or others.
2)  Expanding upon the idea of balance in the Force, we get an ancient Jedi mantra for balance in Dooku: Jedi Lost:
We call upon the three—light, dark, and balance true. One is no greater than the others. Together, they unite, restore, center, and renew. We walk into the light, acknowledge the dark, and find balance within ourselves. The Force is strong.
3) This may or may not be a correct conclusion to draw from the book but it kiiiiiinda seems like mayyyybeeeee Dooku’s turn to the dark side miiiiiight have been related to the “legend” that Serenno was once part of the Sith empire (Me in my head: spicy peppers for spicy Siths). His sister Jenza recounts to him that once of their ancestors fought off the Sith and the other houses submitted to them. They have a funny little exchange about Jedi and Serennians, but I will leave y’all to read that.
Stuff that made me LOL:
- Dooku and Sifo-Dyas were so cute and shitty to each other, as preteens and teens are wont to do. They had NICKNAMES (Doo and Si), fabulous to see Dooku with a sense of humor not so mired in darkness, although you could argue he is pretty funny in The Clone Wars TV show.
- Asajj having lengthy conversations with Ky about whether or not he’s really in her head or if she’s just losing it, because their bickering was A+.
- Asajj threatening people.
- Dooku fighting with a fucking glass of wine and not spilling it like the bad bitch that he is. The man SIMPLY HAS STYLE!
Characters:
Orlagh Cassidy as Asajj Ventress
Euan Morton as Dooku
Pete Bradbury as Gretz Droom (new character, Padawan to Jor Aerith)
Jonathan Davis as Qui-Gon Jinn
Neil Hellegers as Ramil (New character, brother of Dooku)
Sean Kenin as Sifo-Dyas
January LaVoy as Jor Aerith (New character, Master to Gretz Droom)
Saskia Maarleveld as Jenza (New character, sister to Dooku)
Carol Monda as Lene Kostana (New character, Master to Sifo-Dyas, Dooku is greatly fascinated by her and her work to study and find Sith relics in order to prepare for what she believes is the impending Sith uprising)
Robert Petkoff as Ky Narec (Former Master to Asajj, serving as the voice of her consciousness--the way I heard it anyway)
Rebecca Soler as Yula Braylon (New character, a Seeker and Jedi who had a son Arath--unbeknownst to the Council--who was somewhat of an annoyance or rival to Dooku during their days as initiates)
Marc Thompson as Yoda (Master to Dooku)
