some people draw fem remus with short hair (and that’s cool ofc) but i think cutegirlsart’s interpretation of sapphic wolfstar was on point!

aka i think remus would have long hair and sirius would have the shorter hair. my reasoning behind this is because if sirius has long hair as man (ignoring any gender hcs), therefore breaking gender norms, wouldn’t it make sense that a fem sirius would do the same with short hair?

They don’t move quickly enough to outrun the downpour completely. By the time they’ve both flung themselves into the Buick, panting and cursing and scrambling to roll up the windows, Sirius’s t-shirt is half-soaked through, her thighs sticking uncomfortably to the vinyl upholstery covering the bench seat. Remus hasn’t fared much better, her tawny curls soaked with rain and plastered wildly across her cheeks, long legs spattered with mud. Her chest still heaves as she catches her breath and pushes the wet strands out of her eyes, and Sirius doesn’t realize she’s staring until Remus is suddenly staring back. Something ripples between them – a current, flooding her nerves, short-circuiting her brain, filling her lungs and overwhelming every survival instinct Sirius has as she drifts gently, relentlessly, inevitably into Remus. A scarred hand catches her by the chin, and Sirius can practically hear the wheels turning behind Remus’s furrowed brow – golden eyes flickering softly across her features, caught between pulling Sirius closer and holding her at arm’s length, searching, warning, pleading. Sirius wraps her own hand around Remus’s wrist, drags the fingers cradling her chin up and across her lips and presses one, two, three soft kisses across her knuckles. Remus’s lashes flutter and Sirius turns her hand over, pressing one more soft, slow kiss to the palm of her hand.  Remus exhales, sliding her long fingers into Sirius’s wet hair, and Sirius’s face is warm, she’s so warm all over, but she still can’t help shivering. “Sirius — ”  Sirius leans forward — a reassurance, a leap of faith whispered against her lips. “Remus.” They kiss, crashing together like waves breaking on the shore, a prayer answered.
