WIP for an Dragon Age AU thing. I have no idea when I'm going to finish this, but I low key wrote a fic about it, so...

The only thing I got out of Veilguard is frustration and AU brainrot. If the writers are going to do stupid shit to the lore, then I'm allowed to go wild with it too and have Hawke, Sten and DA2's Arishok stand in for Rook, because they would bring some much needed drama and character to the role. We are all suck in this mess, but we do it in an entertaining manner.

#they bring their allies and friends and there's no reason to flatten and sanitize the world #bc they kinda suck so the world is allowed to kinda suck too. they will figure it out #so purple Hawke is the Knight #Sten is the Rook #and the Arishok is the Bishop #Arishok gets to wear green and gets a halla pin bc he's been spending these last 10 years exiled with a Dalish clan #he smokes a pipe and is low key pen pals with Merrill. if you consider writing essays at each other to argue philosophy and ethics that #functions as quartermaster/diplomat and won't get out of base for anything less exciting than a dragon. he has standards #he can also be coaxed out to deal with the First Warden bc he doesn't trust an unsupervised Hawke around figures of authority #Sten has been released from his role as Arishok after the Ariqun's scheming set the Antaam off so his worldview is still shaken #he went back to Ferelden to join the HoF but there are weird darkspawn movements there so HoF lent him to Hawke hoping he'd be safer there #a blight is no place for someone working through a crisis of faith #he wears traveling clothes but kept his weapon so it still has that arishok-red wrapping #he liked being beresaad so he can be something like that again. survey this mess and find all the enemy weak spots and supply lines #pets all the cats. argues the merits of having something sweet with every major meal with Lucanis #purple Hawke is the main stand in for the player character so he gets to be all... Hawke at Solas #he comes attached with Fenris. for good or ill #Solas won't even know what hit him #could I write an entire fic with the premise? sure. do I want to expend that kind of energy on Veilguard? hell no

my eyes are burning from staying awake and i’ve currently been sitting on the floor for thirty minutes surrounded by boxes and actual jugs of hand sanitizer almost making a circle around me. i think it looks a bit picturesque

#ahhh this is so great for me #very intrigued by the transition here between Bruce’s memory of visiting his parents’ graves #which would have been before the gamma bomb accident #and the Hulk’s memory of burying Crackajack and then making him a tombstone #and that the Hulk says he remembers this place but can’t remember from where #and then the narration supplies that it’s ‘from fairy tales told to a lonely child christened Robert Bruce Banner’#ok I haven’t read She-Hulk’s first appearance yet which I believe would have been published a few months before this issue #but briefly assuming that nothing about Bruce’s background was revealed there #there’s been two stories that dealt with where Bruce went to college and a professor that was significant for him there #and there was the therapy issue where Samson went into the Hulk’s mind #and saw really sanitized and decontextualized memories that portrayed Bruce’s childhood as incredibly normal #and that is it for the entirety of what we’ve seen of Bruce’s pre-gamma bomb accident life #so this is first revealing that both his parents are dead #and that he was a ‘lonely’ child #marvel #bruce banner #my posts #comic panels

Emergency: Help save my children's lives

Dear humanity,

I am Habib from Gaza. I am married and have four children: Menna, 12 years old, Adam, 10 years old (suffering from quadriplegia), Maria, 6 years old, and Ezz, one year old. Although they are young, they have survived previous wars, but this current war is the most difficult of all. This is a war of genocide, and the difficulty of the war lies in the inability to meet the needs of my son Adam, who needs special care.

Over the past ten months, we have been caught in the crossfire of the ongoing conflict in Gaza. Our once peaceful home in Khan Yunis has been reduced to rubble, and now we find ourselves displaced in Deir al-Balah, living in squalid conditions in a makeshift tent on the streets. The devastation not only deprived us of our physical shelter, but also destroyed my livelihood - the once thriving business that supported our family's well-being, is now in ruins. The daily struggle for survival is exacerbated by the scarcity of basic necessities such as clean water, adequate sanitation and basic medical supplies

Our home was the place where we found hope and safety, and where we made precious memories. Losing him was like losing years of our lives.

Not only that, they destroyed my source of livelihood, burned it, and demolished it with bulldozers, and today I am without a home and without a job. I was working in a store I owned that met the needs and expenses of my family

Living in tents is miserable. There is a lack of drinking water, hot sun rays, and strange insects that have terrified my children. What hurts me most is my young son Ezz, who I see growing up in an unclean environment and with no healthy food for him. I believe he has not received his right to life.

At this stage, my husband and I decided to go to you and create an account on the Go Fund Me website and ask you to help us in these difficult times until we get out of Gaza, from the land of war to the land of peace. All we need from you is to support us and help us to get out of the war, even if you cannot help. You should spread the word. This campaign is everywhere and among your friends. The amount that will be collected from this campaign :

We will spend it by paying the amount to coordinate entry through the Rafah land crossing, which connects Gaza to the State of Egypt, since, as I mentioned, they charge an adult $5,000, but depending on the pressures, crises, and waiting, the amount may reach $7,000 per person, and children $2,500 to $4,000.

We will also use it for the rest of the travel and safe transportation expenses to provide for all family members.
