Mushroom & Chestnut Samosas (Vegan-Adaptable)

🥟🎮 Make Your Own Sims 4 Recipe: Samosa (Vegetarian version)! 🥟🎮

✨ Crispy vegetarian samosas filled with spiced potatoes, carrots, and peas, wrapped in buttery filo pastry. Perfect for a savory snack or party treat! 🥟🌶️

🌟 Ingredients 🌟 🫛 50g peas 🧅 Half onion 🥕 1 carrot 🥔 1 solid-boiling potato 🧄 1 clove of garlic 🌶️ 1 red chili pepper 🌿 4g coriander 🥄 1 teaspoon cumin 🥄 1 teaspoon garam masala ✨ A pinch of turmeric

👉 Instructions: Vegetarian filling 1️⃣ Peel the potatoes and cut them into small cubes. Cut the carrot into cubes. Cook them together with the diced carrot al dente in lightly salted water. 2️⃣Chop the onion🧅. Chop the chili pepper and coriander and press the garlic. 3️⃣ Fry the onion, garlic and chilipepper for 1 minute in hot peanut oil. Add the cumin powder, garam masala and turmeric and stir-fry for another 1 minute. 🚶‍♂️💨 4️⃣ Spoon the potato and carrot cubes and peas through the spice mixture and further season with the coriander🌿, pepper and salt.

👉 Making the samosas 5️⃣ Cut each sheet of filo pastry lengthwise into 3 narrow strips. ✂️ 6️⃣ Coat each strip with melted butter. 🧈✨ 7️⃣ Scoop a little of the filling into the corner of one strip. Fold closed to form a triangle, then fold around and around to maintain the triangle shape. Seal the edge with a little butter. 🔺🧈 8️⃣ Repeat with the remaining sheets of dough. 🔁🍃 9️⃣ Deep-fry the samosas in a deep fryer at 180°C for about 5 minutes, until golden brown. 🕒🍟✨ 🔟 Drain the fried samosas on kitchen paper and serve them warm with your favorite dipping sauce. 🍽️🧻🌟

I made samosas!!! I have never had them so I don't know what they should taste like, but these are delicious 😋 😍 it's a burst of flavor in every bite!!!! I used Indian spices that I've never experienced. They are delightful and sooooooo good. I'm gonna be making samosas as a regular part of my diet. They're vegetarian flavor bombs!! I love them!!! ❤️ I need to make more now! 🤗😍 what a great way to eat potatoes 🥔 😋 mmmmmmmm ❤️ 😋

Koolfi Creamery was inspired by Indian flavors, but the chief ice cream engineer is also inspired by other global flavors as well. The ice creams are made in house with organic milk or coconut milk (for non-dairy flavors). Choose from scoops, sundaes, floats, and affogatos. There’s also a savory menu of Indian style toasts and samosas and pies on the weekends. And they have hot beverages.

The ice cream flavors are interesting and complex (e.g., jackfruit & coconut, guava with chili, garam masala peach, mango lassi. However, you’re limited to two samples, so I didn’t get to try too many flavors. Also, I was trying to decide on what flavors to sample and she suggested one and gave me a sample before I asked for it – mmm, it was a flavor that I would not have selected – the spicy guava. I don’t really like guava. It was fine but rather sweet.

Gulab jamun sundae ($11.95): two warm gulab jamuns, one scoop of ice cream, pistachios, rose petals. I knew I had to get this because I do love gulab jamuns. It was really good, quite sweet but very Indian dessert-like. I chose the koolfi ice cream which had a strong cardamom/saffron flavor and crushed pistachios adding texture. The gulab jamun were soft and warm. My only gripe is that the scoop of ice cream was small (smaller than usual) and melted quickly. Are all the scoops smaller than average?

Samosas (2 for $6): on the smaller side, crispy shell that wasn’t oily, stuffed with mashed potatoes, peas, and spices. Very tasty, maybe a touch on the saltier side.

The shop is bright and cute with an outdoor patio. The credit card minimum is $10. They also sell prepacked pints.
