Autistics and the terms 'low and high functioning' vs my preferred replacement 'low and high support needs.'
Been thinking over why these terms don't work for me specifically, not just because the terms stem from a Nazi dude. Why does it feel invalidating when I hear someone ask if I'm a low or high functioning autistic?
As it stands I do not function well on a day to day basis. This is because I don't have what I need to be able to do that. My executive dysfunction is at a high. This has not always been the case. I've run my own business successfully for over twelve years, I've had stability and a family and a career and all of that. Then the support disappeared, carpet ripped out from under me, I was left on my own and I crashed and hated I couldn't get on top of my life and didn't understand why. Because I spent many years living and working and passing as neurotypical.
The concept of the statement "you are low functioning" negates all context and pigeonholes me. It gives the impression my function doesn't fluctuate.
1. Anyone would be low functioning if they experienced discrimination, lack of understanding, and lack of support.
2. If I announce myself as low function, I'm trying to convey information as fast as possible. Assuming someone is set at their function level allows no flexibility or space to recognize otherwise.
3. Function is specific to the situation, as a reflection of the persons support and capability. In some areas I'm more than functional, I excel.
It just feels like the term puts me in a category that I can't be because that category fluctuates. I don't go into a job interview saying "I'm a low functioning autistic." I mean I could if I wanted to get the door shut in my face.
But by stating that then I'm projecting an expectation for them and that is, by its nature, a lie.
Example: Anyone on the edge of homelessness, who experienced abuse, and lives in poverty would be at a 'low function' state when applying for said job. But that job would supply the support that person needs to be 'high functioning.' So does anyone in an interview ever say that? No. Because it's generally understood that, given the right support, stability follows. Function follows.
On the other side:
Stating I'm a high support needs person is more accurate. It immediately establishes the question "What do you need to be able to live at the same functional level as others?" it doesn't diminish my function or ability, it acknowledges that with the right support the function works just fine.
Cars run on all different kinds of fuel. Because one runs on petrol, and the other electricity, doesn't mean one is less functional than the other. It provides the same function with different fuel. The question is "What kind of gas does it take, and how much?"
It starts with talking to me like an equal, not 'less or more' able to function. It starts with the expectation that I function fine, and explores what I need to be that way. As with anyone.
And also in doing so, eliminates any positions for being taken advantage of. Trauma and abuse happens to disabled people constantly. By using language and verbiage that lifts us up is vital.
There's a lot of other history out there regarding these terms and I'm always learning so much. But I wanted to figure this out for myself, why it made me so uncomfortable to hear. Well, now I know!

wrt your nonhuman post, have you heard of voidpunk?
just skipped a bunch of things in my inbox but while this caught my eye i thought id answer while i still had the thought
i HAVE heard of it. and while looking it up it was kind of eerie yet comforting almost to see that other people used almost the exact same verbiage i did to describe the why-and-what of having a nonhuman identity. the main specific phrase was "reclaiming dehumanization" which felt crazy
im still like really cautious (or just nervous) about using solid labels just because like. i don't fully know if my experience matches others. and im not five thousand percent sure if theres a "community" aspect to labels or not. but thats a different topic
would be awesome to be a little scuttling animal. or a flowing fluid. or some vapor. or some omnipotent spectator in a "look don't touch" way. cool and warm simultaneously. really kind of about wishing i could still experience and see the world while being able to enjoy it without being held to human standards
while i would love to say i dont hate my body it just feels. Awkward. like ive been here long enough to become an adult but i still dont really know what to do with my arms or legs. To be socially and consciously aware of not only beauty standards but roles affecting the body does sort of magnify that. wasnt going to mention it at first but sensitivity to being touched also DESTROYS the above. quickest way ive had my day ruined was by being poked once
i like to get insightful about myself like this though back to the original question i think ill look into it more. would be cool to hear others thoughts too

[ Castlevania: Nocturne ]
Briefly (haha, nope) about my attitude to Netflixvania: I’m neither a fan of the original animated series, nor its hater (I like S1 and S2, but S3 and S4 are absolutely not for me. Apart from the franchise, it remains one of the strongest animated works). I'm always open to new things as long as the creators try to keep at least some connection between characters and their prototypes (and I have some concerns about it).
As a fan of Maria Renard (especially the grown-up version), I'm glad she's not forgotten. The gaming community is largely divided between those who see Maria as a funny child added into the universe as a joke, and those who hate the adult version for being implied to be Alucard's love interest (I don’t agree with some fans' interpretation of their relationship, but more on that another time. glorfys_glorioushair's vision is the closest to me).
I'M TIRED, I just want to meet new people, even if we have different canon sources. I will take care of them, warm them up, presenting the games xD
In more detail (not criticism, just verbiage): Let's start from the obvious part — this is a product of inspiration, not an adaptation in the literal sense. To get some pleasure watching the animated series, you need to distance yourself from games. This is a quite standard method nowadays, I think.
I'm still forming an opinion about Nocturne, because the story is not finished yet. But I'm also slowly plunging into melancholy, because Alumaria ship and Maria are the cornerstones of my love to Castlevania per se.
How changed is the huntress' image? Well, I feel like Netflix missed some potential that games contained (or will implement it later?) and done a hideous damage with Maria's swearing, but there's still a chance to patch up such flaws with her growing up.
I always imagined her as a battle Lady. Dangerous and daring, but elegant and well-mannered (if I correctly understood Renard family's position). If I were the adaptation's author, I would tend to the archetype of a young noble lady breaking stereotypes. (Without extremes, of course — she is engaged in a tough business). This would have provided interesting dynamics with other characters (and an interesting detail for Richette), since the nobility side would be represented not only by vampires, but also the dissident protagonists.
This doesn’t mean I think Netflix’s biography of Maria is bad — it’s just different and takes us away from Konami again. Whether this is good or bad — we still have to find out. Perhaps it's just a matter of habit?
However, I'm hopeful about the family arc. Such plot has controversial nuances, but it's much better than the off-screen death of nameless parents. I want to witness the girl's experiences and life lessons! I'm also absolutely thrilled with how Tera's character was reworked!
I thank and at the same time judge the creators for the way they managed characters' age. Now the gifted summoner better fits the gloomy setting, but, unfortunately, she meets Alucard too early — this fact obviously sets the audience against the romance. Because of S4*, I already had to bury my dream about "one true love" story (its symbolism is expressed in the wolf form), and then they added fuel to the fire**.
(*A dude can't experience "first and/or only love" more than once (not being reincarnated, of course), so my favorite trope just won't be adapted. It's not about Greta, she's a good (one of the best in S4, actually) character. You can substitute Sonia in her place or swap Maria and Greta, and my message will not change. It’s just that Konami — many years ago — hooked me with a story about naive and inexperienced lovers. Given Alucard's nature, this made an interesting topic to explore. But, since I am still here, it means I accept new rules.) (**In my culture, only the moment (age) when a romance begins is important. Not the moment of first meeting. But it's hard to miss the public outcry — people haven't seen the characters' relations yet, but already hate their dynamics).
I'm also upset that in battle scenes Maria is a pale shadow of herself. In the opening fight, she couldn't handle just one vampire, but I hope that the writers intentionally left room for her skills development. Drawing a little minus for this. But a plus for the sword and the underrated DXC design!
Well, if the plot disappoints me, at least a lot of visual content will remain, which is a real treasure for a fan of unpopular Maria. I'll always admire the work of all involved artists.
P.S. Yes, I deliberately omit the analysis of general history, setting, etc. (After all, this is not a review of the entire Nocturne, just a character's superficial analysis). There is a huge room for discussion, but I will leave it to more historically savvy people. One thing I understand for sure: this is one of the most visually and historically rich basis, which wasn't used properly. On the other hand, it's mainly a matter of budget. Corporations are unfair to creative studios. In my perfect world, Powerhouse and Konami join their forces.
Hey Konami, don't you have an animation studio? Your followers are dreaming about a canonical adaptation or a remake of an iconic game with significantly deeper plot.
I never seriously criticize and certainly never post angry manifests, especially dedicated to someone’s creative expression. I'm always looking for the positive aspects, but if my patience runs out, I usually just retire.
Anyway, since the release of S1 I've been immersed in the Nocturne fandom and even prepared something unique for you!
P.P.S. Sorry for the confusion and my poor English!

A Dance of Fire & Ice - AU (Chapter 1/?)
Pairing: Sansa Stark & Daenerys Targaryen
A/N: This is an AU. It’s very much a fairytale story and isn’t supposed to be taken seriously. Daensa is a fav crackship of mine. In other words, I’m not going to debate with anyone whether it’s a good ship or not. This is just for fun.
Warnings: None
Premise: This is completely AU. It does not follow the same story/timeline/structure and some characters may have very different backgrounds/motivations. The Night King is something that’s happened and this takes place after the war.
Summary:
Queen Sansa Stark of Winterfell has been dreaming of marrying a king ever since she was a child, but now that she wears the crown, her advisor is pushing her to wed against her desires. Sansa only ever met Daenerys during the war, but even so, she looks forward to the fire queen's continuous letters. After attending the winter ball at Highgarden, Sansa is reunited with the beautiful Dragon Queen once again.
Queen Daenerys Stormborn of house Targaryen found the Northern Queen unmoored and reserved during her stay in Winterfell for the war. They formed a reluctant alliance; however, the ice queen was nothing but standoffish. But even so, Dany is delighted to see the red wolf standing in the midst of the ball room, looking more lovely than she remembered.
ೃ⁀➷ i. Sansa Stark
Sansa didn’t hate being Queen. She always dreamed of wearing a jeweled crown upon her head. The sapphires were dull in comparison to her hair painted by the flames from a dragon’s breath.
At least that is how The Mother of Dragons described her hair. The words came as a surprise while reading Queen Daenerys’ most recent letter. She couldn’t deny the admission of those sweet words brought a flush to her cheeks. She could blame it on the frigid weather, but Sansa’s erratic heartbeat was proof enough that those words made her feel not only seen but admired.
She swallowed at the thought. Sansa met a plethora of Lords, and none of them made her blush. She wondered why they couldn’t move her so. They would put on the charm, and attempt to woo her, but it was all a performance for her hand in marriage.
They didn’t care.
Daenerys’ words felt so natural. She wasn’t trying to flatter Sansa. The letter was quite pragmatic, filled with political verbiage. The Dragon Queen was all business, yet still managed to bewitch Sansa with sheer poetry. Why couldn’t they speak to her in such a way? Perhaps then she would marry one of them. She surprised herself with such a thought. Since when did Daenerys Targaryen set a standard for what Sansa wanted in a husband? She laughed it off, before folding Daenerys’ letter and slipping it into the drawer of her vanity—just in time for the sudden rap against her door. She jumped in her chair, her eyelids fluttering in surprise before squinting in the direction of the door.
“You may enter,” Sansa spoke calmly, checking to make sure the drawer was completely closed before relaxing her posture as if trying to appear natural. Not as if Sansa had anything to hide. Her letters were her business.
“I’m sorry to intrude, Your Grace. But Lord Baelish wishes to speak with you.”
Sansa exhaled a long-suffering sigh. Lord Baelish never called on her for social pleasantries. He most likely wanted to discuss her duties again. Sansa couldn’t help but wonder if Daenerys had to suffer such conversations with her advisors. The thought of The Dragon Queen marrying made her insides jolt and Sansa actively ignored the ache. She stood from the chair, the bottom scratching irritatingly against the lacquered wood floors.
“Very well,” Sansa replied before following the captain of her queen's guard. Brienne of Tarth was one of the few people Sansa trusted in her council. So many died in the war against the dead, leaving Sansa with slim pickings when it came to those who would serve her.
The red wolf entered the council room, her eyes falling on Petyr Baelish standing near the fireplace. His gray eyes remained focused on the fire, its orange hue reflecting against the white streaks along his temples. He was a peculiar man, oddly handsome despite his gaunt appearance. The mockingbird pin fastened on his dark wool cloak almost seemed to come alive against the dancing flames. He turned to look at her, a ghost of a smirk flitting across his face. It was fleeting and would be missed by those who did not know him well, but Sansa saw it every time. Lord Baelish was her late mother’s childhood friend. It was the only reason he stood where he did, yet her rising hackles were cautionary—and because of this, she kept him at arm's length.
“Good evening, Your Grace.” He finally spoke. “How is Queen Daenerys?”
Sansa wasn’t surprised that Lord Baelish knew about Daenerys’ letter to her.
“She’s well.” Came Sansa’s quick reply, “Ser Brienne said you wanted to speak with me? Need I ask why or do you have more eligible Lords to throw my way? I won’t marry them.”
She could see his chest rise and fall, an almost tired sigh escaping his lips. “Straight to the point. I expect nothing less from you.”
“You sound proud. I thought you'd find my defiance unfit for a queen?”
“It's not exactly pleasant. But it's not a flaw. Especially for a queen.” He flashed her a smile before pushing away from the fireplace and walking over to the desk to retrieve a parchment. “Lord Ramsay of House Bolton has called on you. His father sent a raven just this afternoon. I've only just opened the letter.”
“Isn't he engaged to be married?”
“Not anymore. His father gave little to no details as to why.”
“I do not wish to marry a man who has his father write my advisor inquiring about me. Couldn't Lord Bolton write to me himself?”
Lord Baelish smiled at this, followed by a breathy laugh in agreement. “I understand your disgust. However, Lord Bolton comes from a proud house. He’d make a fine Queen's consort.”
“Isn’t he the heir? Who will succeed his father?”
“Apparently, his father's young wife gave birth to a son. I suppose he’ll inherit.”
“I don’t want to marry Ramsay Bolton. I don’t want to marry anyone.”
“You wanted to marry Joffrey.” He countered, his gray eyes locking with hers in a match of the century. He wasn’t going to back down from this.
“I was a child, Lord Baelish.”
“A smart one”
Sansa’s lips pursed disapprovingly, squinting in his direction. “Are you implying I’m no longer smart?”
“I never said that. But the war has hardened you. You used to laugh so freely. “ He gave her a once over, “You only wear black now.”
“I lost my entire family.” She reminded, her blue eyes sharp.
“I have not forgotten.” He lamented softly. Sansa was surprised by his empathy. Lord Baelish was a clever man and often showered her with kind words and praises, but Sansa knew he always had a reason for everything he said and everything he did. He was a calculated man, but Sansa wasn’t a fool. Perhaps in her youth, she was naive and gullible, but not anymore.
Now, she was a queen.
“I’m not ready to marry.” She circled back, not wanting to discuss her family anymore. Arya was still around. Well, not really. Arya ran away from her grief, while Sansa stayed behind to pick up the pieces and rebuild Winterfell. Sansa didn’t blame Arya for leaving. She loved her sister and missed her with every fiber of her being, but Arya was free to do as she pleased. Sansa would have preferred for Arya to stay behind and join her council, but her baby sister had every right to find her place in the world.
“When will you be ready?” Lord Baelish asked. He released Bolton’s letter, allowing it to fall onto the desk before sweeping over to Sansa. He reached out for her, his hand touching the curve of her jaw, “I don’t want to push. But you must marry. As Queen, you must produce an heir. If you don’t, your throne will fall to your closest male relative. Which is your cousin, Robin.” He gave a sour expression, “We don’t want that now do we?” He asked, as if he couldn't bear the thought of Lysa Arryn moving into Winterfell with her spoiled son.
Sansa swallowed, her breath thickening in her chest at his words. She didn’t despise her Aunt Lysa, but this was her home. The Vale belonged to Robin, and Sansa would rather walk into the fiery breath of Daenerys Targaryen’s dragon than see her family’s throne fall to Robin Arryn.
“No.” Sansa finally answered, her tone bitter. “I don’t want that. There must be some other way.”
“There isn’t.”
Sansa hated to admit that he was right. She already felt as if she had to prove her position every single day. “But not Ramsay. I don’t want to marry him.” She decided, her gaze meeting his gray eyes with urgency.
Petyr Baelish released Sansa’s face from his touch and moved back to retrieve the letter. He tore it and tossed it into the fire as if it was already forgotten. “As you wish, Your Grace.” He said and Sansa was yet again surprised by him. Petyr was not a generous man, yet he ripped Lord Bolton’s letter as if it were just an afterthought.
ೃ⁀➷ ii. Daenerys Targaryen
Dany squinted as the wind tore through her flaxen hair. She couldn't help the grin on her face as Drogon swooped below the clouds, his claws grazing the water surrounding Dragonstone. Daenerys looked over her shoulder, making sure Rhaegal and Viserion weren't far behind. They were smaller than Drogon, but they never seemed to struggle when it came to keeping up with their brother.
Viserion dove down, submerging parts of his golden body into the water before rising with a large fish in his talons. Daenerys chuckled lightly as he tossed the fish into the air, catching it in his mouth before swallowing it whole. Her dragons seemed happier now that the war was over. She was afraid she'd lose one of them during the battle against the dead. Rhaegal was injured greatly, but her green-scaled boy was stronger than ever now.
As she neared Dragonstone she could see her advisor standing along the wall, his eyes following her dragons in awe. He didn't have to make a sound or wave for Dany to realize he wanted to speak with her. She held onto Drogon tighter, steering him down below. He lowered himself on the pathway, his body too large to fit, but low enough for Daenerys to slide off easily. Her boots softly hit the surface below, her hand sliding along Drogon's scales before he flew off without her.
"I'm sorry to disturb you, Your Grace. You did look like you were enjoying yourself up there." He said, his voice almost emotionless as he spoke, but that never bothered Daenerys.
"No need to apologize, Lord Varys." She said, her cheeks flushed pink from the wind beating against her face. "What is it?"
"I received a letter this morning. I thought you would want to read it yourself." He said, and Daenerys felt her brows crease, her lavender-colored eyes reflecting worry and curiosity all at once.
"Oh?" She followed Varys back into the castle to see Missandei holding a piece of parchment, her doe eyes reading through it before she looked up to see Dany approaching. She gave her a slither of a smile and Daenerys felt herself calm just a bit. Varys wasn't exactly the greatest comfort, but he was a good advisor. Missandei was more like a sister than she was an advisor, but Daenerys took great care in listening to her counsel.
"For you, Your Grace." She said before handing the letter off to Dany. Dany read over the words multiple times before looking up at Missandei. She was partly disappointed that the letter was from Lady Olenna and not Sansa Stark. She wrote Sansa weeks ago and has yet to hear a reply from the Northern Queen.
"A winter ball?" Daenerys wrinkled a nose momentarily. She knew balls were for when a man was in need of a wife, but then Daenerys knew she wasn't a very good candidate. She was a queen herself, and would never abandon her kingdom to marry some other ruler. Unless they had some outlandish idea of uniting their kingdoms as one. She cleared her throat some, "I'm assuming you think I should go?"
Missandei gave a small nod, "It wouldn't hurt to show face." She said, "The Tyrells were a great help during the war."
Daenerys knew she was right. If she didn't go she would look rude. Not that Dany cared if she looked rude, but the last thing she needed was to snub another kingdom. "Well, alright." She said before folding the letter, "I suppose I will go." She felt her face flush slightly, "I wonder if Sansa Stark received an invitation?" She queried as she followed Missandei and Varys through the castle. She noticed her advisors exchange a glance with one another, but Daenerys ignored it. Perhaps she did speak of the Stark Queen too much, and they both knew about the letters. Daenerys tried to keep her letters professional, but she had to admit she enjoyed the conversations with Sansa.
"Perhaps she has." Missandei answered softly, "I suppose you'll just have to go and find out."
Dany laughed, her eyes crinkling in amusement at Missandei's words. Of course, Missandei didn't mean to be funny, but it was almost as if Missandei was using the possibility of Sansa Stark's presence at the ball as a way to convince Dany to go and not back out. Daenerys couldn't help but feel a dull ache grip her chest at the thought of Sansa Stark's absence. Daenerys hasn't seen her since the war and wanted more than anything to speak with her in person.
Daenerys didn't know why she felt that way. Sansa Stark wasn't exactly amiable during the war. She was cold towards Daenerys and just the very thought irritated her. Dany did nothing to warrant such hostile behavior, but then again she had to remind herself that Sansa had a lot on her plate.
Even so, the Northern Queen allowed Daenerys to write to her and she even wrote back. They weren't enemies and Dany liked to think they were friends. She wanted to speak with her in person, she wanted to see Sansa's face, and read her expressions, and only then she would know how Sansa truly felt about her. Perhaps she was just entertaining Daenerys' letters, but Dany truly felt that Sansa wouldn't bother writing back if she didn't like her at least a little bit. She felt they could be great friends and allies if the red wolf just gave her a chance.
Daenerys felt her heart rate pick up and she grinned, her face tingling as butterflies danced inside her stomach. She tried not to worry too much about whether Sansa would be there or not. If Daenerys had received an invitation, she was sure Sansa did too.
"Perhaps while you're there, you can consider looking for--" But Varys' words died in his throat as Dany cut him off.
"I'm not ready to start looking for a husband just yet." She said as an impatient sigh escaped her lips, "We're only just recovering from the war. I need to focus on my people right now. They are my first priority, not finding someone to wed."
"Yes, you'll have plenty of time to seek out a husband." Missandei answered, throwing a side-glance at Varys.
Varys didn't argue. He relented before giving Dany a wary glance. Of course he didn't agree with either of them, but he knew better than to push Daenerys into something she wasn't ready for. She was fiercely independent, and he admired her for her strength and gentleness toward her people. But he knew the benefits a marriage could bring to their kingdom, and how much stronger they would be because of it.
Dany knew Varys was for the people above all else. But he trusted her judgement, and she liked to think he cared about her. Dany felt ill at the thought of marrying just yet. She knew she would have to. Every good queen or king had to do it. It was part of the game. But even so, she didn't feel she needed a political marriage in order to keep her kingdom safe. Daenerys had dragons, the dothraki and the unsullied.
She was powerful in her own right.
She wondered if Sansa was in search of a queen's consort. She frowned, her pale eyes falling to the cracks in the floor, watching as her feet continued to step over them, yet her body felt weightless, her legs becoming jelly at the thought of Sansa Stark marrying some random Lord.

Never Let Me Go D/s breakdowns Ep 1
Nuengdiao comes from a rich and important family. One that has often found him in danger as well as being used. Forcing him to grow up isolated. Along with having an asshole father that allows no room for imperfection. Then said father is shot to death right before him, leaving him and his mother in a precarious position. The son of a loyal Kiattrakulmethee family employee, Palm is appointed to protect him from the dangers in and outside school. But can Palm really keep his life and heart safe?
Is there a D/s element? No fucking clue. Is there a power imbalance? Abso-fucking-lutely. But is there a distinct power play line between work and play? That's the question. One I feel is not going to be answered clearly. But there has been a request for me to try.
Episode 1: Let's go... I plan on just covering things that I deem D/s related, or we'll be here all day. At the same time, I can't keep my damn mouth shut, so get ready for anything here.
I like the start of the series with him staring at his distorted reflection in the window. I might actually use that in a book. Damn! "I understand that work is more important to him than me." "I'm glad you understand, your father." That's so fucked up. There is nothing, nothing, more important than your loved ones. Pay your bills, but work is not the memories that will sustain you when you need comfort and love. Okay, good, he showed up. Lawd this dad. Yeah dad, no pressure! I mean, shit... I didn't want him dead. Well that sucked.
Okay, so, that first meeting screams chemistry! Hot damn. Palm just fell flat on his face with hardly any words between them, huh.
Let's talk pool scene because I'm for sure catching subby vibes. Granted not a D/s relationship, yet, any ways. This is a good time for me to explain how I can typically tell is someone Dom or sub.
Now, the first thing to do is get a frame of reference. So, let's back up to Palm with his friends on the boat. There is not a lot of confidence there, which is typical of a sub. A lot of subs gain confidence from their Doms. However, he does talk to his friends as equals. Then you get to him with his dad and he immediately hits submission mode. Now take what I'm saying and compare Palm to his dad, who works under Nueng but isn't subby at all. He is being subservient at his job, but he himself is not submissive.
Now Palm has kicked Nueng into the pool, we see a confident and unafraid Palm when he did it. Then the minute Nueng starts being authoritative, we see a different Palm. 1:54 "What the hell do you think you're doing!?" Head and shoulders go down. No anger, this is disappointment in himself and that he upset Nueng. That is a sub mind set. As he approaches Nueng he is still in a submissive pose. Then he puts the gun down and comes to sit beside the pool, but he is positioning his body in a submissive manner. Making himself appear smaller. You'll see this in subs and people who are scared. He looks up to talk and then glances back down. Okay, so we find out that Palm doesn't want his dad to know. Someone we know he is submissive to. So the submission might be a transfer because of his day. We'll have to keep watching to see! His verbiage is very sub. This is interesting.
In the classroom, we see a more confident Palm. His shoulders are back, and his eyes are aware. He is looking around and paying attention. I can for sure see why people are confused. Man, this boy is simp and Nueng is not having it. Palm follows him, again we see sub positioning come out. Shoulders and head down. See how he keeps his head low. We could say this is because it's his job, but you never see his dad do this. I do think someone told him to keep an eye on Nueng. Nueng knows it and hates it, but there is for sure more here.
That sneak out scene is pretty interesting because we see the confidence and the submission. I'm dying over his lack of ability to climb. Come on now. Anyone could do that. Those shoulders, head, and eyes.
"Palm. Don't you think it's a bit too coincidental?" Smart boy. Okay, so this is for sure a job. Damn, he's taking some jabs. Not that I blame him for being angry or feeling like people should prove themselves. Fuck, this is so interesting. They dynamic. We for sure got subby with him not meeting eye contact until he goes to assure Nueng that he can in fact protect him. Till then his eyes are down, but then he lifts his chin and gives confidence. He is sure that he can protect Nueng.
Then when Nueng asks if he can be friends we see subby and then back to confident. I'm in the dark, peeps. That's it for episode one. Let me know if you want me to continue! If so, comment or reblog. This post is dedicated to @chordassinationtechnique and @biochemjess Hope you enjoy 💜💜💜

I Have An Announcement To Make
Literally…
I love all my sisters.
I love my Israelite sisters.
I love my Muslim sisters.
I love my Christian sisters.
I love my Jewish sisters.
I love all my Abrahamic sisters.
I love all my modest practicing sisters.
I love all my sisters.
Y’all ALL my sisters…
We should get into the habit of knowing that we are all family. This whole earth is our brethren, children of God, that He created. And how beautiful it would be if we came together for what we have in common, instead of separating ourselves for what is different. The more we realize that we don’t need to compartmentalize in order to stay true to ourselves, and we realize that it is One Love that truly makes us ourselves, and helps us all to follow God better… the world will CHANGE.
There will be less discrimination, less exclusion, less competition, less confusion, less misunderstanding, less bigotry, less division, less loneliness, less fear, less hate…
There will be more love, more community, more knowledge, more wisdom, more life, and more godliness…
I am a Hebrew Israelite woman, that is the faith I choose and the faith that chose me (Amen).
And one major thing that God has taught me through the growing of my faith, is that He wants us all to unify under Him. This is what mankind is missing. This is the one part of it all that mankind is missing, or ignoring even.
We need to unify.
Especially us that know the ways of the Abraham (or Avraham, Abram, Ibrahim: depending on what you follow). As he stood before all mankind to teach the ways of the TRUE Most High, the One True Creator. To lead the way into true monotheism, the belief in that One True Creator and no one else.
We need to work harder to see what we can add to each other, instead of thinking that we will take away from each other if we stand to SHARE the walk in the way. Realizing that we can share our journeys with each other. And it will enhance our true godliness and our true understanding of God.
To support and enhance one another in the same goals: To follow God…. This is the way of God.
God’s most demanded command, is LOVE… and more over unified unbiased unequivocal LOVE. LOVE that is given without remorse and given freely. To truly love one another, there must be unity.
This is why in Jamaica we coined the phrase: One Love… because this is the calling of God. To be of One Love. To be of the same mind as your neighbor. To love your neighbor as yourself. Understanding them and accepting them fully, no matter what differences you see in or around them, because those differences don’t matter. What matters is that you love them regardless of all that. That you see them as you see yourself regardless of anything else.
Divided, we fall… while the goal is to be risen, the goal is to be of above, of Heaven, and as it is in Heaven, and NEVER fallen.
Once we realize that God truly said to follow Him and not religion. Is when we realize that religion is only the WAY you choose to follow God, and following God TRULY is not attached to one religion or another. Then you realize how we are not so different you and I, and we were never meant to be. Only meant to be One under God. The One True Creator. No matter what religion we choose to follow Him with.
In addition:
This is why most things speaking of God has the concept of “One” in the teaching and verbiage.
For He is One of One, and One of His kind.
The One True Creator.
Treat God and the Messiah Yahusha as One, and you will move mountains.
For God’s love is One.
It’s about UNITY.
*in my Queen Latifah voice*
I digress to say…
For my sisters who do listen to music, or don’t. You can choose whether or not you’d want to listen to the song I’m leaving you with today.
Keep in mind, that we ALL come from mother Africa…
The main quote I want to emphasize is this one:
“Think of how beautiful it would be, before God and man, to see the unification of all Africans”

fat faggot bitch has nothing better to do in his life than prey on teenage bitch girls
Sorry, now I'm just confused... am I the bitch, are you the bitch, or are female tumblr users the bitch?
You really did miss the memo on how to communicate and... honestly it's sad to see. How are you supposed to break someone down emotionally if you can't even send a coherent hate message?
I'm honestly not even sure how to help you... you clearly have no interest in heckling me in ways that actually make sense for who I am as a person, so that route is off the table. You're becoming repetitive which hints your vocabulary is surprisingly limited, meaning more impact through verbiage is also off the table...
Honestly I'm just waiting at this point for you to crack enough that it becomes clear exactly who you are so everyone knows that when you can hide behind a mask of anonymity you feel like you have the power to do anything. But you know... in truth, anonymity gives no powe whatsoever. You're the same you that exists and speaks with and without it. The only difference is that with it you feel safe letting your true self shine out through the cracks.
That's right. Anonymity isn't the mask. You wear a mask every single day. Anonymity just let's you take that mask off for a few moments at a time to feel free.
So tell me, what will you do next?

Things that annoy me:
Tumblr’s tagging system when it comes to blocking tags
Any tagging system that doesn’t have tag wranglers and makes me have block fifty different versions of the same goddamn tag.
People who tag their ship hate as the ship they hate so the people who like the ship have to see it.
The fact that even if it’s “anti this particular ship” it still shows up in the ship tag.
The fact I can look up a ship using the very common person a/person b or even person a x person b verbiage and get everything but what I want.
Being a rare ship shipper.

I hate that scammers do this. Especially when they use Black faces and other marginalized groups for their con. It really makes it that much more difficult for honest bloggers who are genuinely seeking mutual aid
Anyway, they’re back. I just got this ask
Whenever I get asks like this, I automatically copy the text and paste it into tumbler’s search function and 9 times out of 10, it will show whether or not that particular “ask” is being circulated — or recirculated; the post I’m reblogging is from February and the ask that I’ve pictured is from May. Two different accounts, exact same verbiage
And WTF is “a black disabled”? They couldn’t be bothered to add the word “person”? Does that violate their Ai bot programming? LOL, will they get fired for lying and saying they’re a person?
And just in case you’re wondering if jovialtrashfestival is a real person or not, their first post went up on April 30th. Today is May 2nd. They’re definitely a scammer
Don’t get got by scammers, but also, don’t allow their existence harden you to the plight of real people who might be in need, and had the bravery to publicly ask for help
Anyway, like OP said: if you get this ask, check to see if it’s been making the rounds and then you know what to do: report for something else -> unlawful uses -> phishing, then just explain what’s going on
This has been a PSA 🫡
Hello sorry for tagging. I am very sick, my asthma is at its maximum level, my nose freezes, I have no medicine or food. I am in bad shape financially, I am a black disabled, who uses multiple medications, I pay for my food and lodging
Unfortunately I do not have all the resources to keep me safe, that is why I need your help, whatever you can contribute to me will be of great help.
17 ish hour old scam blog regurgitating the same lies as usual, hiding behind marginalized identities in case anyone catches on to their bullshit. I'm pretty sure a lot of these are run by a botter.
to report them on the android app, go to the pinned post and copy the link to that, then go to the thing next to "follow" and report for something else -> unlawful uses -> phishing, then just type in what's going on. remember to block them too.

does anyone else have this experience/a word for it
long so i put a keep reading thing under it
me: i am reading something
thing i am reading: i am on tumblr. so look at this (5 million recommended posts that grab my attention)
me: wow i love reading. i am going to read things from so many people and try to learn as much as i can
*an unknown amount of time passes and i cannot clearly tell when it happened, but i am starting to have problems comprehending the text i’m reading seamlessly like a normal person and i’m starting to do that thing where i need to visualize words and concepts in my head to truly understand their meaning*
thing i am reading: i am very complex and nuanced. you need to comprehend me fully before you can stop reading, because i am very complex and nuanced, and as such, understanding me will provide a lesson that’s incredibly unique and valuable.
me: god. why am i reading the exact same paragraph 5 times and mentally concluding nothing??? i don’t feel that i’m fully comprehending what this is saying. (tries to brute force it and fails) (tries to brute force it and fails) (existential crisis about how using complex verbiage in conversations about disability is worthless if people who don’t have any form of disability or brain damage that would affect their ability to understand or comprehend written/spoken words and their meaning can’t understand what you’re trying to say as someone who’s guilty of doing this myself) (remembers i have brain damage + i’m autistic so i do have something affecting my ability to understand and/or comprehend written/spoken words and their meanings...worrying about how bad it’s gotten for myself but having no real idea of if i have any reason to be worried since i’ll probably be “normal” regarding this tomorrow after i wake up from sleeping) (worrying thought train about how if i really cared about what this person is saying, i’d force myself to understand it) (existential crisis about how humanity is so large that we’re stuck in the paradox of either having countless small, niche communities that describe us fairly well, but have no collective power in regards to getting rights or organizing...or a much smaller amount of large communities that have a lot of collective power in regards to getting rights or organizing, but at the cost of people with vastly different life experiences constantly being lumped in with each other and needing to police language and terminology/speaking over each other/stereotypes about each other we’re fed from young ages which often causes constant infighting that acts as a distraction from our goals) wow i don’t feel really good or happy anymore...i think i finally get what this is trying to say now though??? maybe??? idk. here’s hoping i do. i wouldn’t want to misconstrue the consensus this is trying to give me.
my brain: i am a chaotic blob akin to molten lava in my formlessness and lack of cohesion. BOO
me: wow i really hate this i just. wanted to read
#maybe i need to go back to therapy#that's assuming my dad's stupid weird insurance can cover anything though#and that's assuming i would find a therapist who doesn't immediately realize i have bpd and make up an excuse for why i don't need therapy#because that's what happened last time and i have gotten worse mentally since then#i'm sure that the physical dissociative effect of edibles and their psychological effects aren't helping all of this.#oh well. better to burn out than to fade away or whatever the fuck kurt cobain allegedly said#idk i just hate going from feeling relatively normal regarding comprehension of written words to needing someone to spoon feed me everything#especially since there's nobody there to spoon feed me. just me

Pple just like to emotionally fish around
Dont let them >
They say anything to see what u gone do, and i give them nothing or i step to the plate and grab my fishing rod like “what do u got there buddy” i wanna fish too.
People play communication games, im a dancer i know plenty of communicable games pple like to play.
These communication styles live in “Dead end” politics where you get there and the point was to invoke. Dead end conversations are not solution based, it disguises it self as such. But the remains are usually dead end.
To get around these games or tactics, or habits people form to control others with their narrative and personal venture.
They are trying to “sims 2” life…
Controlling it with certain verbiage, context and basic human emotion, all to form what they want out of certain conversations or interactions there of
Fishing:
—— Somebody is DELIBERATELY trying to invoke or investigate with fishing for information or fishing for a reaction,
People fish for information, whether you are aware or not people are taking notes on you on the “ladder” of scale, to get around this SET BOUNDARIES!
Or people fish for reactions with certain conversations or comments
Don’t underestimate what people truly think of you cause they think alot,
“If it dont apply let it fly”
Let it go over ur head, dont react
If that dont work exit the conversation all together, the power lies in betting you stay in the peed in pool of the convo, but we all have choices so just get out, let them fish and swim ALONE at the own risk, if it tiers on disrespect its rlly time to exit the lake, which means GONE, next topic or just leave.
——————————————
Musical chairs:
—-People love to change their stance and thesis as the conversation moves foward to a place of maybe not common ground but you definitely moving the vehicle, to the end destination of what it all truly means whether u in the end of a conversation or mid way, this is where people might start to notice they need multiple seats at the table so they change they stance a million times just to be ahead of the conversation vehicle.
Stay in your assigned seat
Stay in your opinion stand on it, my seat is comfortable i dont gotta switch my chair to make my points more valid. SIT IN YOUR SEAT, your perspective is the only POV we talking about, people pick different
You cannot be in 2 places at once same goes for a productive conversation to bed led, u think imma bounce from three different povs just to stand in one conversation so i can be ahead or win or whatever the person is trying to get out of the interaction
You can solve this by staying in your seat, dont try to leave and meet them on each side of the room they wanna pick. Stay in your chair and stand your ground,
My word is bond, so i dont need 4 different povs, hypotheticals, i know where to sit stand and most importantly i know my chair at the head of my own table, you control what u finna allow
Word salad :
God i hate word salad !!!
I hate the concept i hate when its done especially in this day and age people combine certain verbiage together cause they know what tone it creates, don’t underestimate language its a powerful tool,
Our words are everything, its how we communicate its how we literally TALK TO EACH OTHER,
When certain people use words and iconography, signals, and are queued on peoples reactions its very EASY TO PLAY WORD SALAD, you could say a whole lot without it really meaning anything.
Dont let people play scrabble cause they wanna sound knowledgeable, people think im stupid all the time cause i dnt speak on my shit 24/7 my life is private so alot of times you will look like the crazy one
What to do bout word salad, dont speak,
Make your language more broken down and direct, almost like kindergarten sentence building. Its cut n dry, its short, its straight. Its too simple not to get, if a person keep talking you down or wherever
Then like always we exit the conversation
You have 2 realize there is no winning or losing, everybody loses when we cannot efficiently communicate or come to common understanding or not even have the adult conversation to begin with which means this is chalked/OVER maybe next time. Or no time.
We CHOOSE what we allow, dnt get out ur hookup like the word salad users. Over load at the salad bar, we will watch them over fill their plate, they cannot eat all that word salad alone they will look very peculiar
So dead it kk!
Automatic repression/ rejection of ___ etc it could be anything .
This is simple, people reject even with context, information and the persons POV, it’s automatic which means it takes nothing
And means nothing its the most dead end out of all of these.
Dont give light/meaning/attention to any of the automatic negativity its meant to invoke, when people talk down, they want u to talk up the conversation elevator
DONT FUCKING PRESS A # of where u wanna go in this, exit the house elevator we dnt gotta go up n down this bitch when each floor is automatic negativity its like they live there EXIT THE CONVO BUILDING IMMEDIATELY “i dont wanna share” “can we move on” and “okay thats fine” cause honestly lets move on ? Kk
Name calling
This is direct as well. People causally name call they subconsciously name call, they deliberately name call,
Name calling is cheap, and effective if you are easily irritable, its perfect for invoking feelings of defensiveness and insecurity.
Its tiers on bully 4 me honestly,
To get around name calling u have to be clear in who u are/ what you represent
This is also ladder based name calling can be innocent or a guilty action,
Subconscious/ non-deliberate name calling
Deserves the “dnt apply let it fly” cause it wasnt meant 2 hurt n if it does say something this yo life u feel me? If it bother u speak up but if its not worth energy keep it pushing
Deliberately name calling deserves the right dosage of acknowledgment cause soon it can turn into gas lighting when u bring it up, so stand firm “i didnt like that you called me that please dont do it again” STAND FIRM this a no argument zone, if that comes with combative its time to stage left the conversation
Dog whistles:
Dog whistles people are fucked up and know you enough to sometimes dog whistle the reaction they say things STRICTLY to invoke its like the fast food of language
They wanna make u mad they dog whistle u in, its like RL trolling to watch dog whistles play out is JARRING, and not fair. Pple say anything for a reaction and they know the dog whistle to cue you in for example it could be a word that triggers you or certain tones, certain specific things its the custom combo meal of what can i do _____ to get ____. Its fycked
Id use dog whistles back to mirror behavior but its pointless dont call out a dog whistling individual its like half of what they want, like how oz was hiding behind a curtain from Dorothy, dont come to they headquarters.
Dont feed, move on, next topic, next case, whats next, or exit as always
Handcuffed/ hand holding:
People are selfish and they will literally handcuff you to their perspective. They will hand hold u not letting u talk or letting your perspective in whatsoever its hand holding
We are walking we are walking, we are stopping>>>> you feel me? But they are their own tourguide in a convo and are relentlessly trying to make sure u will not lose track of what THEY want and or THEY say. U cannot leave the conversation unless they uncuff you.
This is probably the only style worthy of call out because it inherently selfish period
Selfish from start 2 finish
Call them out, stand your ground you grown i dnt need a hand to hold or a perspective to be chained too! Unhand yourself! Uncuff yourselves >

Shady Hollow by Juneau Black (the book)
15/5 (This is one of the best cozy mysteries I have read)
This review is for fan entertainment, I'm not being paid.
I remember when I found this book, I was on one of those book sites that was recommending certain books and the cover of this one (I’m sorry to say this was a cover buy but this was best cover buy I have ever done) was gorgeous, that I started researching it seeing what the overall story was about and the reviews on it were stellar.
I remember staying up till 2:00am because I couldn’t put it down, the mystery, the characters, the setting, everything about this book was so amazing.
Our main character is a fox reporter named Vera Vixen, who is investigating the murder of the local town grump. Murder is almost never heard of in Shady Hollow, so everyone is keeping tabs on neighbors. The mystery was engaging that he seemed to hate everyone in town and tolerated a few. It seems like everyone was a suspect from the rich socialite beaver family to the mouse assistant of the same house.
Vera is butting heads with the local law enforcement, arguing about who is going to solve this case first and from the interactions of the deputy and Vera you know this something blooming. Vera and her avian friend, who runs the local book shop are invested to find out who the killer is.
Instead of dealing with what seems to be a simple murder, Vera finds this case is wrapped up in a complex ball of secrets and blackmail, especially when another death crops up. Vera is now even more determined to find who is killing off the denizens of Shady Hollow.
Now much like most cozy mysteries that I have read, there is a bit of romance and Vera does have her paws full, trying to get the scoop on the deputy and make sure she writes her article in time too.
When I finished reading this book, I was instantly in love, the story was cozy even when we got to the murder and action parts. I also love the descriptions of the food inside the book. Also, another thing that the author has done with this book was they made sure to use animal verbiage instead of human verbiage, (ex: I want to get my hands on that cake. In the book: I want to get my paws on that cake.) they removed any idea of humans from the book.
The authors of the series made each character different but there is something akin to their animal personality that I found very fitting to the overall story. When I first started reading this book, I found that the authors supplied a list of everyone who was a major player in the mystery, (cast list) and a map. I never really find too many books that will give bio or maps to help with understanding the story, I thought that was unique too.
I love this book series. It is in my top recommendation list for new people trying out cozy mysteries for the first time.

I think Journey to Babel is an interesting episode for a lot of reasons, though a big part of that is that it explores Spock's relationships with not just the people around him, but also with rules.
If this was someone's first episode of TOS, but they were familiar with more recent material, this iteration of Spock's character would be familiar. He's sticking by rules, to the detriment of both himself and others. And all other characters in this episode, as well as most fans, accept that as Spock's motivations throughout the episode.
But looking at Spock's stated rationale closer, it's clear that that's not what's going on.
[ID: Two gifs from Star Trek: The Original Series. The first gif shows Spock in a blue Starfleet uniform. He is standing in a green room in front of a red-lit glass cupboard that has a vase inside. Spock is captioned saying "My first responsibility is to the ship." The second gif continues Spock's speech, but he is no longer visible, with the shot instead panning to the ship's Doctor (Dr. McCoy) and then to Spock's mom (Amanda). Spock's words are captioned as, "[Our passenger safety is by Starfleet order]". End ID]
Here, Spock's first defense of not going into surgery to save his father's life is over regulations. However, in previous episodes, it's clear that Spock is comfortable disobeying rules for his benefit. In The Menagerie, he commits mutiny to bring Captain Pike to Talos IV, and risks the death penalty by doing so. In The Devil in the Dark, he openly overrides Jim's orders, initially to protect an unknown species, then later to protect Jim. If Spock and Jim weren't so close, both of these instances could likely lead to criminal charges.
And yet, he gets cold feet here. Even if a regulation existed that prevented Spock from temporarily stepping down (which I highly doubt), he's not one to shy away from breaking regulations when he sees fit.
(Also, does the verbiage in that first gif sound familiar to anyone? That's almost word-for-word what he said to Leila when he was letting her down in This Side of Paradise; I half-expected him to finish with "to that man on the bridge". Perhaps that's a subtle indication of where Spock really feels his responsibility lies.)
He then gets a bit more specific, in saying he doesn't want to hand over command in such a stressful situation.
[ID: Two gifs of Spock in his room, in front of an intersection between a white and green wall. He is making eye contact with and speaking to Amanda offscreen. Over the two gifs, his words are captioned: "Any competent officer can command the ship under normal circumstances. / The circumstances are NOT normal." The word "normal" in the first gif is underlined. End ID]
Oddly, that's a completely different defense. And not a logical one, since Scotty has been at the helm in equally stressful situations, like in A Taste of Armageddon, or The Apple, for example. It would even be a reasonable argument that Scotty is better in command than Spock, considering how stressed Spock got in The Galileo Seven. Also, because Spock is in his room here, someone else who's capable of command must be at the helm already, so why don't they just stay there? As much as I hate to admit it, Amanda was right-- before she went on her racist and manipulative tirade-- in that Spock should be able to hand over command to someone else.
He also talks to his mom about Vulcan philosophies, but given how it doesn't benefit anyone to have an acting captain who's so keenly distracted, it's not a logical argument to stick with.
[ID: A set of three gifs from the same scene as above, where Spock is talking to his mother. They are standing in front of a white wall with red lighting. He paces around her such that his face is only visible in the second and third gif. Amanda's expressions are never shown to camera. He is captioned saying, "It means to adopt a philosophy, a way of life, / Which is logical and beneficial / We cannot disregard that philosophy merely for personal gain." End ID]
So, what's making Spock behave like this? I don't think his sudden inflexibility here is because he cares for Sarek less than Jim and Captain Pike. That may be true, but Spock was the one who suggested the experimental procedure, and already volunteered as a donor before Kirk got injured. It's also not to impress his dad with Vulcan stoicism, since Sarek wouldn't live to see that play out.
In answer to that question, the episode posits that Spock's distress over his dad's critical condition makes him unable to think clearly. Though, Spock wasn't contradicting himself like this until Kirk got hurt. Before Jim's injury, he was following a coherent thought and behavior pattern (as in: dad is injured -> research ways to help -> talk to the doctor about it). But afterwards, his level-headedness went out the window, to the extent that when he went into the surgery (only after being led to believe Kirk was okay), he was restless and asking for Jim, despite the fact that he should have been unconscious from medication.
[ID: A gif of an operation from the same episode of Star Trek: The Original Series. In it, Dr. McCoy and Nurse Chapel are standing over an unconscious Sarek. He is wearing a green surgical blanket and his chest is underneath an angular grey medical device. Spock is laying in a different bed, and between them is a wall mount that connects four tubes; the two coming from Spock's side have a light green liquid, and the two going to Sarek have dark green liquid, to indicate the filtering of Vulcan blood. Spock is awake, sat up in bed, when Bones asks, "Where do you think you're going?" and Spock replies, "I must see the captain." Nurse Chapel reaches for a syringe. End ID]
I'd be willing to buy that both his dad and Jim's injuries causes Spock to be stressed out of his mind. However, the pacing of the episode shows that it's Jim's less severe stab wound that pushes him over the edge, to the point where he's forgetting things and not able to justify himself. I even believe Spock thought his actions were logical, he just lacked the self-awareness to realize he was incapacitated.
[ID: A set of two gifs, where Spock is lying upright in a sick patient bed. He's wearing an outpatient robe, and behind him is a red pillow and grey metallic headboard. Spock is staring at the floor until partway through the second gif, until he looks up to make eye contact with Kirk offscreen. Over the two gifs, his words are captioned: "The thing I don't understand / Is why I didn't think of it earlier." End ID]
I don't have a good conclusion here, other than that his actions make no sense unless he was worried sick (about Jim, specifically), which destroyed his rationality, objectiveness, and reverted him to Vulcan emotional barriers in a situation where it's illogical to have them. It's baffling to me that no one in the episode questioned Spock's logic, since his sudden adherence to rules is inconsistent with how he behaves normally, but it does fit in with his tendency to get agitated when Jim is injured.
#I don't know if anyone wanted an ungodly long post about this but#Spock's decisions bothered me a bit because on the surface level they make sense#but then if you think about it further it doesn't#so then you have to think about it even more to justify his character motivations#and I may not be looking but I haven't seen anyone try#also this took so much effort that at some point I just have to let it go akjsdfhlkdsjh#journey to babel#tracking tag#rambling#spirk#k/s#star trek tos#long post#<- I don't think it's that bad if you don't include image descriptions but still

I just wanted to let you know I love the "arrogant" concept of your blog. Your explanation makes it even better!
When I first found some of your posts I thought they were mean, somewhat bitchy and spiteful. And oh so angry, and rightfully so. Exactly what I was looking for, dealing with a lot of anger inflicted by others at this point in my life. Thank you so much for dealing with negative emotions in this way, for relatable content, the empowement. All my life I hated pride but your posts make me realize some arrogance is fine. Thank you for celebrating anger by giving it grace.
This is one of the most wonderful asks I have ever received :) thank you so much for everything you said. I think I screenshotted this like twice because it’s so sweet & I never want to forget what you’ve said here.
And I am seriously so glad and grateful that this blog is still empowering people & helping them deal with the negative sides of life. like it’s been 6+ years since I started it & every once in a while someone really gets what I’m doing here. It is beyond fulfilling for me to see my imperfect process helping others (especially in ways I couldn’t have understood if I hadn’t broadcast it. I bet a lot of my anons submitting stuff feel the same!)
Anyway, before I go, I just want to give you some classic arrogantsuggestion verbiage and say that arrogance, pride, and self-love can all be easily confused for one another from different perspectives. Try to forgive yourself for the accusations of pride & arrogance that come along with loudly loving yourself. Your self respect is retribution
