Ah I remember my question now!! Since Ezra is a growing boy, how does that impact his prosthetic use? I'm assuming they can't just go get him refitted like normal... do they help him resize? Do they build new parts? Or help him find some?
Hiii!! :D) So I doodled out my thoughts as I pondered this question but my handwriting is ass so… I’m also gonna write a little summary too!
Ezra's first Prosthetic was given to him by the same people who performed the amputation on his leg in the first place. Some concerned Lothali citizens who couldn't bare to watch him hop around on his severely infected leg any longer. 12 year old Ezra was pretty pissed about it though (understandably). It didn't help that his first prosthetic was old as balls and awful to walk on.
Tumblr media
Thankfully, using bits n bobs he'd collected out on the streets, Ezra was able to tighten the loose hinges at the joints and modify the top to fit better. Alas, he ended up loosing this leg after bopping Kallus over the head with it pretty early on into joining the spectres.
Hera set him up with a pair of crutches and then devoted herself to finding him a replacement. She was determined to find something that was better than his last prosthetic and thought she'd struck gold when she figured out Vizago had one sitting in storage. She haggled hard but eventually managed to pocket the rarity, and delivered it back to Ezra. Sabine helped modify it fit to properly, and to Ezra's delight he discovered that the hinges on this leg were motion activated, and could pack an even better punch (or kick) than his previous one.
Tumblr media
Ezra hadn't really manage to curb his habit of using his leg as a weapon on occasion, and during such an incident ended up losing leg 2 (much to Hera's despair). Thankfully, Sabine had helped Ezra do enough maintenance on his last two legs that she was confident she could fix up some similar prototypes using her engineering skills. The spectres all contributed to a scrap box that would be used to build replacement legs whenever Ezra ended up losing or outgrowing one. All of them were very dedicated to scouting out parts for him and happy to help with maintenance.
At some point the rebellion had gotten large enough to start having a more organised healthcare system, and Ezra was offered a spot on the surgery waitlist for cybernetics. Ezra was initially hesitant, however, post the incident on Malachor he eventually agreed.
Tumblr media
The cybernetic, although not the most advanced for it's time, is connected to his nerves giving him full mobility over the prosthetic. However, it came with it's own new quirks that took some getting used to. Detaching and Reattaching the cybernetic takes between 2-5 minutes to do, and often requires tools to help, rendering it no longer an option as a spontaneous mid battle weapon. As a result there was no longer need for him to cut holes in the left leg of his trousers either.
Ezra doesn't sleep with the cybernetic (same as one wouldn't with a prosthetic) cause it would be hella uncomfortable. On lazy days, he often goes without it, opting to use crutches around base instead. The cybernetic is waterproof, however, in both snow and sand it can sometimes become clogged and stiff, and may need extra maintenance after the mission is complete. The ghost crew is always willing to help pitch in with their engineering expertise (mainly Hera, Sabine and Chopper) or spare part gathering.
Tumblr media
Anywho,,, yeah. I hope that sort of answers that question?? I'm not 100% familiar with how prosthetics and cybernetics work in the Star Wars universe so forgive me if some of this info doesn't check out. ( also if u see a spelling mistake,,, no u don't)

Sabine Wren + The Mandalorian Armor
The armor I wear is 500 years old. I reforged it to my liking, but the battles, the history, the blood all lives within it. And the same goes for every Mandalorian.

A flyboy!universe idea/drabble because of this scene. Set in flyboy, but can be read as a standalone - Jake Seresin x you.
Tumblr media
“I wanted to, but….” your friend, Taylor’s voice trails off in the middle of her sentence, her mouth hanging slightly agape. It makes you quirk your eyebrow up slightly as you, along with Annie and another one of your friends, Sabine, turn your heads to follow Taylor’s gaze to the flight of stairs positioned behind you.
The sight which greets you is not unfamiliar to your eyes, but nevertheless a welcome sight. It makes the corner of your lips furl upward slightly, as you pull your gaze lazily up from the dips of Jake’s hips, along his abs, up his chest and finally coming to a rest on his face just as his shirt goes fully over his head. The last traces of sleep still prominent on his features and back of his hair damp and tousled.
“What would your girlfriend say about this, Taylor,” you hear Annie snigger, her words teasing but with no malice, at Taylor’s reaction.
“Ladies,” Jake says with a nod and polite smile as he comes up behind you. His palm finds the curve of your hip as he presses a kiss to the back of your head in a hello.
“Taylor, Jake. Jake, Taylor,” you make the introduction as Jake reaches across your shoulder for an apple sitting in the wooden bowl of fruit on the island which you are sitting around. Taylor is the only one of your friends in the circle Jake has not met.
“Damn,” Taylor begins as she shakes her head lightly, looking from Jake to you before continuing with no reservations, “I heard you were hot, but…” she lets herself trial off while shaking her head with a laugh.
“I aim to please,” Jake says matching her lack of reservations with a grin before he bites into the apple, “got to have something which keeps her around,” he jokes hand squeezing your waist gently.
You roll your eyes lightly and shake your head.
“Atta boy,” Taylor grins extending her hand for a high-five which Jake reciprocates.
“They’re the same person,” Sabine remarks at the interaction between Jake and Taylor unfolding before your eyes.
“Don’t you know by now Sabine,” Jake drawls after swallowing the bite of apple, “she’s got great taste in people,” he winks, referring to you, as Annie bursts out into a loud laugh at Jake managing to compliment himself, and the rest of the group, entirely unfazed.
“I’m beginning to doubt that,” you say while shaking your head again, but this time to a chorus of “you do”s.

if we go with the idea that kallus grew up as a latchkey kid in the lower levels of coruscant and had to scrounge and make do until he got into the academy, you bet your ass he loved the military school routine. the routine was exhilarating. making lists and plans and being able to complete them? reliable daily schedules and meals? reliable rewards and consequences? addicting. he didn't have that kind of stability or time horizon growing up, so when he gets a routine he revels in it. he can plan for a future now.
of course, under the empire that means he (and everyone around him) subsumes himself to the routines and wills of the imperial machine. but at least he knows what to expect, even when it's terrible, even when it goes against what he fundamentally believes. and once he knows what to expect, he knows how he can subvert it as fulcrum. (imperial regularity is good for many things, including monitoring guard shift changes and tracking an admiral's meal times.)
as fulcrum though, that time horizon shrinks again. he doesn't expect to live beyond it, so what routine remains is a talisman he clings to. maybe that's how thrawn finally catches him: his irregular actions to throw people off his trail became too regular.
in the rebellion, newly defected, the freedom from such strict routines is overwhelming. some defectors go the ice-cream-for-breakfast route (or, like sabine, a clearly visible break from the empire's enforced conformity), but others don't know what to do with themselves. kallus throws himself into what he knows and what he misses: the work routine. input, output. task, complete.
the rebellion has a routine too, but in the way live theatre has a routine. there isn't always a closing bell; sometimes you hurry up and wait for six hours and then aren't off your feet for the next twelve. there are tasks and protocols, but you gotta be ready to adapt at any moment to what reality throws at you. (the empire rarely-if-ever had to adapt to what the rest of the galaxy threw at it because it was the rest of the galaxy.) there's a level of chaos that kallus is capable of handling, but that chaos is every day now. meals happen when he can get them, same with sleep, because the work routine he tries to set keeps getting broken. he never had to set a work-life balance before because it was either all life (all survival) or all work (and the empire tells you when to eat and sleep). the routines were always set for him.
so yes, kallus is infinitely glad he defected and yes, he is infinitely grateful to the ghost for taking him in, but little gods, how does anything get done?!
I think the first personal boundaries kallus sets that are his alone, not dictated by a higher institution, are about when the spectres are allowed to bother him (see: pester him to drink water and drag him to the tapcafe for a break) and when they need to leave him to his duty. it's nowhere near the routine that shaped him, and that's a good thing, but he does need some things to set his chrono by. he wakes at 0500; returns from a run by 0540; first cup of caf in yavin's pre-dawn light at 0610; draven enters intelligence at 0619. the rest of the day could be anything else, but these 4 are fairly consistent.
at some point he realizes that the time horizon he has now, in this life where very few things are guaranteed, is based less on when the mission is over or when the war is over and more on when he gets his next meal or sparring session with zeb or his next drink with rex or his next meeting with cassian. because all this work he does is for these people, and if they aren't in his future then it isn't worth it.

Sometimes I think about the Ghost post-rebels and its just so painful imagining it empty except for Hera and baby Jacen. Also chopper. But.
The memories are etched into the metal itself, the crew and the ship are intertwined, one and the same. But now its empty and quiet and hollow. The absence of everyone is so strong they feel like ghosts even though Sabine and Zeb are alive and well and still visit. I bet the memories and emotions are so strongly embedded that Jacen can sense them.
I bet anyone Force-sensitive who walks onto that ship can just feel how loved and lived in it was.
If the Ghost outlives Hera and Jacen and anyone else who might inherit it. If it sits abandoned for a hundred years on some wild peaceful planet. Any Jedi who found it would still feel the memories and know.
A ship is an entity all its own, its an amalgamation of the people who live on it and that goes for starships, sailing ships, any ship that people live on. Remember when the razorcrest got blown up in the Mandalorian? My heart fucking stopped. If the Ghost ever got blown up? Unspeakable grief. Its not just the ship that's gone, its not even just a home. Its part of your soul.
If you live on a ship you trade a little piece of your soul for a little piece of the ships' (that's how you get addicted to the sea or the stars)

I remember years ago when Ladybug the episode airing, there's so many people called Tom and Sabine as a bad parents... for whatever reason, and I was one that keep saying they're a good parents. Now though... it make me wondering if they are really as good as I thought they were if Marinette turned out to be this bad.
I saw some people say the reason why Marinette turned to be this spoiled is because she has one child syndrome, but Adrien is one too and ironically he become a better person than Marinette ever be. And the only one child who become spoiled is Chloé and Felix whose parents is also way too doting that they let the kid do whatever.
Today I found out the term "Helicopter parenting" A helicopter parent (also called a cosseting parent or simply a cosseter) is a term for a parent who is overattentive and overly fearful of a child's experiences and problems, particularly outside the home and at educational institutions. And I feels like its something that Tom would do, especially in Weredad episode. He doesn't want Marinette to feel sad so he will create a situation where she won't be sad, emotion need to be fixed or prevented, which... Track with what Marinette's tend to do.
I know I shouldn't put pshycological aspect into a cartoon, let alone a toddler show, but it just fit. 😅
---
The thing about discussing psychology when it comes to media isn't really about who the media is for, I think. The issue, as I see it, comes from using stereotypes of different conditions to classify characters in a negative way, regardless of what genre a piece of media belongs to. It's kinda how you would go about actually writing a story with these same themes: don't forget there are real people who deal with these things who won't appreciate being demonized or dehumanized, so treat the topic with compassion.
However, sometimes it can be useful for your self discovery to discuss whether or not a character fits similar categories as you yourself do. It can be a fun topic to discuss when it's done in a compassionate way. Sometimes small details just fit together way too well to not bring it up. Sometimes it can be good to be aware that the writers might be codifying their characters a certain way and what kinds of attitudes that codifying enforces.
Those people calling Marinette's problems "only child syndrome" when we can see her parents and their parenting techniques are definitely barking up the wrong tree. Only children aren't naturally spoiled, they might not be spoiled at all. But helicopter parents are common these days. A lot of modern parents are afraid of screwing up because we're more aware than ever of how parents can traumatize their kids, and that makes them easily veer into overprotective territory. I do agree with you that helicopter/cosseting parenting seems to be a far more fitting descriptor for what’s going on with Marinette.
Miraculous does often genuinely hit the nail on the head on what some types of parenting do to kids, which makes it so absolutely bonkers when they claim that it's not on purpose. It’s more likely that some of it was on purpose, but the writers then changed their minds about what they wanted to say about parenting. Like, Chloé’s issues get built up as being the result of being spoiled and neglected by her father and mother respectively, but then season five claims Chloé‘s just an evil hellspawn who was born that way.
The thing about Adrien is that his disposition also makes sense with his upbringing. His only friend growing up was Chloé, the epitome of a spoiled brat lashing out because she doesn’t get actual care from her parents, and sometimes Félix, another emotionally unskilled kid lashing out at others because he doesn’t have friends. Add to this Adrien’s emotionally immature father, who goes on a year-long magical rampage where he purposefully tramples on everyone else’s emotions in a misguided attempt to get his wife back with no consideration towards the son he also loves and who's actually still alive. Gabriel also doesn’t want to shield Adrien from disappointments, he often causes them and seems to have that attitude that it’s character-building.
But yeah, it makes sense that Adrien is emotionally astute, since his own emotional well-being relied on him developing the skills to work around the social bombs he grew up around. And then the series decided that, actually, Adrien being so attentive, often even to his own detriment, is a good thing because Marinette can benefit from it. Suddenly Gabriel’s behavior was claimed to not be abusive or emotionally damaging to Adrien at all and Félix is a caring cousin and a good guy. Considering there are still some throw-away lines in the post-retool episodes about how harmful Adrien’s fawning is to himself, it really seems like either there’s been a change in course or the writers disagreed on what the takeaway over Adrien’s family situation was supposed to be.
As for Marinette, ‘Weredad’ does, just as you pointed out, confirm Tom as an incredibly overprotective parent. I’ve also previously made a post about how Marinette exhibits a lot of signs of being an overly coddled child, which is the same thing as a child with cosseting/helicopter parents. Marinette can’t handle stress, because her parents don’t expect things from her, not wanting to pressure her. The one time her parents asked her to do anything for them in the show was handing off a cake to a customer in ‘Timebreaker’. The rest of the time Marinette seems to almost be a free-range child, with no mention of bedtimes or her parents expecting her to have her homework done. Marinette’s studies barely get mentioned, which is really weird for a middle school teen hero show where the characters spend a lot of time in school and classes. But Marinette’s parents are apparently completely unaware of what Marinette does with her day or what happens at school, outside of the letter/email they received in ‘Simon Says’ about Marinette’s repeated absences. Nobody keeps track of or expects anything from Marinette on a more casual level, so when things actually rely on her performance, she buckles under the pressure.
Marinette also can’t handle setbacks, because her parents refuse to voice out her failures and weaknesses so that she could accept them. In ‘Animaestro’, where Marinette starts badmouthing herself, her parents, instead of dealing with this self-deprecating attitude directly, insist she’s definitely not a klutz and totally gets to be a server. They also completely sideline her reason for wanting to be at the event because of this, which they know is to see Adrien. The instant Marinette’s lip starts wobbling, her parents will lie to make her feel better instead of discussing the situation with her. Basically, they treat her like she’s a toddler incapable of understanding that they have a responsibility to their client to not bring an untrained child to work as a server at a public media event with a lot of celebrities.
This lack of dealing with Marinette’s self-esteem problems is also related to Marinette’s past as a victim of Chloé’s bullying. Marinette’s parents are very unengaged with Marinette’s role as a victim; even when she gets expelled on what they think (rightly so) are false accusations, they leave things to the authorities and just tell Marinette she can work at the bakery. To a child, that preparation for the worst-case-scenario feels like the parents aren’t on her side at all. Of course, we don’t know if the parents are aware of the past bullying Marinette faced; even in ‘Origins’ they merely encouraged her to go to school and bring everyone pastries. In general, Marinette’s parents seem to know very little about her friend group (they think Sabrina is a close friend of Marinette’s in ‘Darkblade’) and social standing in addition to her daily activities, which lends credence to me deeming her a free-range child.
Marinette also can’t handle rejection, because her parents never deny her anything except for a single episode, ‘Simon Says’, where they told her she couldn’t go out with her friends until she stopped skipping class. They were incredibly gentle about this grounding too, and held each other's hands afterwards, like this was an incredibly difficult task they’d just completed, gently telling their teenaged daughter she had to stop skipping class for a week before she could be allowed out whenever she wanted again. Basically, it takes extreme circumstances for Marinette’s parents to give her any boundaries, and they clearly don’t like doing it, which explains perfectly why she has no boundaries when it comes to pursuing her attraction to Adrien.
The problem with all of this is that this should be a good ground for Marinette to grow from. This is a valuable topic to discuss. As I said earlier in the post, overprotective helicopter parents who are afraid that every single disappointment or setback will traumatize their child for life are a thing. As such, this is an important thing to teach to families and especially to kids who wouldn't understand what's going on in their lives unless someone brought it up. But this isn't what the show does, because the head of the showrunners is the most overprotective parent of them all for his fictional creation, so of course he isn't going to criticize himself.

Marinette is in such a weird spot. On one hand, as TA said, she must learn a lesson every episode, but at the same time, she's his favorite (he can't lie that he's not favoring her more than the other). This caused her "lessons" to fall flat, because:
1. Most of it was not even her fault (That ice cream man-child akumatization, Marc's akumatization, Sabine's akumatization, the list goes on)
2. Most of it doesn't matter in the future episode (In Desperada, Giving miraculous to someone without clear mind is a bad idea, and she did it again in S3 finale. In Revelation, she learned giving too much chances on evil people won't do you good, yet she did it again with Gabe in the S5 finale)
3. Most of it benefits/rewards her in the end (Wax statue scene is where Adrien loves her, stealing Adrien's phone rewarded her with hanging out with Adrien)
4. Most of it gives no actual consequences (numerous time she broke into Adrien's house, her stalkerism)
I don't expect her to immediately change after each lesson, but i sure expect she's slowly changing.
Marinette would work as-is if Miraculous was played as a true formula show where nothing ever progressed, but because miraculous has all of these serialized elements, we expect to see her learn and grow and - understandably - get frustrated when she doesn't. But she can't because this is a formula show to the extreme. It's why I tend to be so defensive of Marinette. It's not that I don't agree with the criticism, it's that she really is a wonderful character who is a joy to write when she's allowed to learn and grow, things she cannot do in canon through no fault of her own. Her criticisms all comes from things that add up over time, but that wouldn't be such a big deal in one-off episodes and Miraculous is written as a series of one-off episodes.

We grow back together Pt.1
Finally DONE with this piece (๑✧∀✧๑)I’ve done it yall~ im never working in large, two piece scales again 🥲 at least not anytime soon. This, and the second part coming in a day or two, took me too long and had me pulling at my hair ,,,
I looked at this too long and started to hate some small parts of it, but ah! Reaching the finishing line last week made it all worth it 🥹 especially working in the details and lighting highlights.
I will continue to see the subtle parallels of Sabezra and Everlark forever 😭 I just need them to be at peace and at each other’s side; healing and reclaiming their youth 💜🧡 I pray that we may see that one of these days! ໒( ” •̀ ᗜ •́ ” )७ I believe we shall!
I am so giddy over how well Sabine and Ezra came out 🥹 I referenced several pictures of Eman and older Ezra pieces to get him looking right 💙🧡 Same goes for Natasha, while showing my own iteration of a potential Sabine hair style. I swear, drawing Sabezra has given me inspiration to get better at drawing certain facial features.
I really hope yall enjoy this piece and the next ones that come! 💜🧡

STAR WARS REBELS APPRECIATION WEEK Day 1: Favorite Character
This is a toughie. If there is one thing that stands out about Rebels, it's the incredibly awesome characters. From a fun, lovable main cast with amazing dynamics and chemistry with each other, to memorable supporting characters that added some great life to the series, to an array of fun and intimidating villains, the characters of this series were a highlight, both the originals made for the show and the returning faces from previous Star Wars series. As such, picking a favorite is no easy task. But, end of the day, there are two that stand out the most to me at least.
Tumblr media
Be it as their own characters or as a relationship, Kanan and Ezra were not only the centerpiece of the show, but easily my favorite part of it. From Kanan's end, we see someone who gradually reclaims an identity that was stolen from him by the Empire and that he initially tried to distance himself from for years, eventually coming into his own as a Jedi and refusing to sit by while the evil that scarred him continues its tyranny. For Ezra, we follow the story of a boy who lost his family to the Empire, yet was able to regain it through his relationships with the Ghost crew, slowly transitioning from an embittered street rat to someone committed to never allowing people to suffer the same fate he did. And a massive chunk of their respective development hinged from their dynamic with each other. Through their bond and adventures, Kanan and Ezra not only managed to define and hold to what it means to be a Jedi in a post-Order 66 galaxy, but also helped each other move on and recover from their respective traumas, their relationship being just as much that of a father and a son as it was a teacher and a student.
And that doesn't even scratch the surface of how fun both of them are. Both had their moments of being funny, tragic, heartwarming, and being complete badasses along the way. I loved how Kanan could be a great mix of stern leader, exasperated dad, wise mentor, and wisecracking action hero at any given time. And the fact that, for all his self-doubt and pain, he never really teetered on the edge of the dark side goes to show how one can still be good and kind even the most horrific of circumstances. Ezra was snarky, energetic, and pretty relatable as he got into his various hijinks, and I remember getting excited to see where he would go next and how he would grow form his experiences.
There's a lot of other stuff I could touch on. Kanan's sacrifice in Season 4 being one of the most heartbreaking moments of television I've ever seen. The various parallels and contrasts between Ezra and Luke that made me love him so much. Their relationships with Hera, Zeb and Sabine. I could talk about all of it If I had time to be here all day. For now, here they are. Ezra Bridger and Kanan Jarrus. Spectres 6 and 1, my favorite characters from one of my favorite Star Wars properties ever.

Hera's relationship with Jacen's (potential) Force-sensitivity has so many layers to think about.
She lived through the Empire. She knows the edge of the knife that Force-Sensitive children lived on - she saw the parents killed by inquisitors, their children dragged from dead arms for a fate worse than death
The empire may be gone, but plenty of people in the galaxy are still interested in those who are Force-sensitive, and willing to kill for them. There is no safety for the Force-sensitive children in a post Empire galaxy
Being a Jedi is what got Kanan killed. It's what led Ezra to sacrifice himself to take down Thrawn. Kanan is lost forever, and every year that goes by makes it less likely that she will ever see Ezra again, and she cannot lose her son too-
She worries about Jacen, growing up with stories and legends instead of with a father. She wonders about what that does to a child, to know that your father died a hero, to know that the only way you can live up to his legend is to die a bigger hero than he did, and to know that the power that got him killed runs through your veins as well
But at the same time. He must be trained. She knows how Kanan spoke of the Force and those who are connected to it. It is not a power that can be ignored.
Kanan should have trained him. She can picture it so clearly it hurts - Kanan, laughing as their son began to make objects float in his cradle, soothing him when he cries (Jacen's a sensitive baby - Hera quickly learns that he cannot be soothed when her own heart is disquieted). He was so wonderful with training Ezra, even if he never thought he was good enough. He was so good with Sabine. He would have been a wonderful father
Ezra should have been here to help. Jacen should have grown up with a father, with an Aunt Sabine and an Uncle Ezra. The older Jacen gets, the more he grows into his powers, the more Hera can feel their absence.
Who's left to train him at this point? She loves Ahsoka, but after what happened with Sabine....if she can't manage to train an adult, could she really be trusted with a child? There's Luke Skywalker, but Hera doesn't know him, and he wasn't trained the way Kanan was. How can she trust him with her son?
She feels inadequate. It's hard, to parent alone, to be a General and a pilot and a mom. And this is something she can't do, that she can't understand and never will. It's a reminder that she's not enough for Jacen, that she'll never be enough - it's a reminder that Kanan's not there

just some thoughts.
Kallus keeps every single item he's ever been given.
For the longest time, that had only been the bo-rifle. Which he lost when his cover was blown.
And then there was the meteorite, another item he kept close to his person because of its daily significance to him. Which is also MIA.
At first, no one really noticed.
When he first joined the rebellion, he had nothing. Which wasn't strange. What was strange was that it stayed that way for a long while. A few unsavory rebels poked, prodded, and speculated that it was the Imperial in him. But he always shook their taunts off, having more important things to attend to.
Sabine was the first to give him a gift. She painted his old imperial chest plate and he keeps it as a decorative piece. He had wanted to get rid of the armor initially, but she talked him out of it. Now he knows why and he can't really bring himself to part with it now that the teen has put her own personal touch on to it.
After four months in the rebellion officially, it had been the first and only item to be in his room.
A few weeks later, he wobbles into his room after a long shift and finds a laser-cut stone statue of a loth cat. It's unquestionably an item left by the rebellions own loth cat, Ezra. Kallus smiles to himself and makes it a center piece on his counter.
One morning he had invited Kanan over for caf... well, more so Kanan offered to bring Kallus some of his favourite to brew. Kallus tried to have them meet somewhere in HQ or perhaps in the ghost, or even in one of the rec rooms. Kanan explained that he wanted something where it could be more quiet, as he had something important to speak about with Kallus. Kallus reluctantly agreed and managed to get a hold of a caf brewer. He realized he made a fatal miscalculation when Kanan showed up and Kallus didn't have a single cup. Kanan had just laughed and said that he had a feeling that was the case. Kanan pulled out a few mugs he had taught himself how to make back on Atollon. He gifted them to Kallus, who uses them frequently. (He has acquired quite a collection over time. At one point, everyone who he considers friends has gifted him at least one mug each, he has a collection of 38 mugs.)
There's been a few more times when Kallus has returned to his room to find random items and nick-nacks from Ezra. His current favourite is one of Pryce's stolen helmets that Ezra had Sabine paint.
Kallus is quite fond of weapon that he helped Wolffe and Gregor steal from am imperial auction. It's beyond repair, but it was from the same line of Canon blasters that helped them win many battles back in the clone wars.
One of Kallus’s favourite Hera gifts is the miniature self-piloting ship that circles the ceiling of his room. She had made it in her down time, one day when she had scrap pieces she was fiddling with while he was working. Eventually, the two fell into a pattern of Hera working on some small project while Kallus read a book that Rex or Cassian usually gifted him. She usually also had him tell her whatever the latest interpersonal spectacles were hot in rumors.
Kallus doesn't question the continously growing number of Imperial rank badges that Chopper likes to keep in Kallus's room and have Kallus help him rearrange into a pattern. Chopper is taking after Sabine, in a light. The droid is very particular about how he wants the badges arranged. It's growing into quite an abstract work.
Rex and AP-5 have both given Kallus a dozen plants. Separately. AP-5 enjoys to talk about his interest in plants for hours during his down time. Kallus listens to every speech about the care that goes into them, the importance of their specific roles in the environment that supports them, and their scientific uses. Rex enjoys telling stories of his past related to each plant he brings Kallus. The soldier attaches the memory of old friends to a plant that reminds him of them. And he told Kallus that something about him just reads as plant caretaker. And Kallus still has no reason to doubt a single hunch from Rex because he has yet to let a single plant that either he or AP-5 has ever brought him die. He's managed to not only keep every single plant alive, but also thriving.
Ths growing number of plants pulled a chuckle from Zeb one day, cracking a joke about how he feels like he stepped into a different type of jungle.
The gifts that Zeb have given Kallus are numerous, all seemingly unrelated, yet distinctly Zeb. Furniture he made from wood he found in Yavin's jungle, gems he snagged from imperial black market auctions that he made into a wind chime, minor items that are fascinating to just hold and fidget with, a weighted blanket that Zeb stitched together himself, jewelry that Zeb said reminded him of Kallus. Quite a few of the gifts were made by hand. A number of others had practical uses to them. And some just given because "I looked at it and thought of you". The day that Zeb gave him a Lasana tunic, Kallus was left at a loss for words. The fabric was the most comfortable texture he had ever held, the colors were soft and gentle. Zeb told Kallus he made himself, every stitch, every color had an intent, a meaning behind them. He tried it on for the other and fell in love with how right it felt to wear, how comfortable it was, and most of all for the soft look in Zeb's eyes when he showed him. The top portion was sleeveless and backless, the cloth collar covering most of his neck and layered over his chest. The waist was contrastingly snug and hugged him fittedly. The pants we loose and airy, before the fabric around the ankles clung to his skin once more. The smile never left either of their faces the whole time.
