Little post Time Skip Biri (let's not call it Canon to her story for now, I'm still working on it) where she's back on her little boat and works in the Sabaodies with Hatchan. (FYI Biri had tried to work at the Baratie a long time ago and met a young Sanji there but Zeff does not employ women in his restaurant)

And here is a bit more of this because it was so fun to draw! Future Biri meeting the main crew :D I was way too lazy to finish this but it was super fun to sketch!

Also, since I'm pretty set with the way I draw Biri regarding to the One Piece style, it's easier to have her as a base so I can set the other characters on her :o Does that makes sense? (it's because my art tends to change a lot depending on the project!) (sorry Brook, I'll draw you properly some day)

Some serious thoughts are going into my head. Guess I'll try to get them out here. Maybe it's more about fictional characters, because real people are much harder (at least for me):

Y'know, most kinds of abuse, assaults and even physical harm can be gotten from a person's fears, vulnerabilities and, most importantly, thinking they lack the control of their life. Like. Some crimes are done not because of money, sex, things like this, but because the criminal (I'll use this word bc English isn't my first language, alright?) need **something** that makes them think they're strong, powerful and nobody can stop them. Most of the time it's not like it. They are weak, as one word of doubt can make them snap, make them do all kinds of awful things, just because of the fragile ego. These people need control in their life, and the way they prefer to "get" it (they aren't in most of cases, they're the same weak personality whose fears will get worse when other life challenges are nearby) through the easiest methods. As violence (yes, including sexual), abuse (they love verbal abuse because it makes them feel better than the victim, as the victim is insignificant, a dirt below their nails), and they'll do anything to make their prey to stay below, slowly breaking one's identity/personality so they'll get the joy from this. And stay the same, hollow husk.

They aren't searching for help (tho, it could be a symptom of the cycle of abuse repeating itself. Like. Parental abuse). They could know, or not know about the fact that this is unhealthy. Or do or do not want the help. Recovery isn't a fast nor easy path. It means getting along with our fears, demons, and insecurities. And need a lot of resources, which are. Not a lot of people can give.

So. My brain telling me (well, telling is too much of a loud word. It's hard to make a sentence with the meaning, sorry) that people aren't awful because of their actions. They're awful because they decided to fall to their fears and trying to fill that emptiness with the harm of the other living beings.
