Well, no digital drawing until I can get this figured out. 😭

Any wisdom from other digital artists? I've updated the drivers on both the tablet and computer. Left the tablet alone in case it was overheating, and I left it outside its case for at least 15 minutes to cool down after last use. Yes, I've used a throw pillow as support for it as I don't have a stand to use when I sit on the couch yet. But it wasn't doing this then. I've used another computer and removed the HDMI to USB-C adapter when doing so.

In the meantime, I've emailed XP-Pen in hopes of an answer. 🤞

been working on a redesign for my 'sona (the one in my pfp)

it's been a long bumpy ride of failed attempt after failed attempt, but after hours of doodling and some consulting with a friend, i might have finally.. figured something out.

I've finally been in the right headspace to just sit and review all of my past failed redesigns and just, wow. They all suck lol. I need this to be the last and final redesign so badly. I've tried so many different ideas at this point, but nothing speaks to me. What sucks is this character isn't even mine. I found some random kids character design on DeviantArt years ago and liked it so much that I made a Minecraft skin out of it. I grew attached to it and was never able to fully let go. The artist even reached out to me and worked with me to change some aspects of the design, but they just ended up reverting back to looking like the original. Granted, the way I draw the character has changed over the years, but it still just looks too similar.

Red Sweater: not mine

Green Skin: mine

Due to changing Minecraft skins, the skins themselves ended up becoming their own characters. This is why Sadz is a green creature, but also a masked and completely separate entity.

I tried giving them lore reasons as for why they changed. Like Sadz dying and having to wear a mask and a sweater in order to hide the fact that they were a reanimated corpse. I tried making them more unique by giving them weird powers, wings, a crown, and a halo as a form of self expression. That and a number of other personal design tweaks continued to fall flat when it came to making them unique and their own character. If anything, it simply added to the original.

Original Sadz will be and always has been a humanoid Minecraft creeper. I just dressed them up in different outfits whenever I went to make a new skin. I was interacting with a lot of online friends at the time through the game so this character ended up becoming a key part of my identity.

You have no idea how long this whole ordeal has hung over me. My inability to work myself through it. It legitimately sucks and has taken a toll on my mental health.

I've been able to mend some long-standing issues with people that I caused in the past. I was even unblocked by a big artist recently. Someone I deeply regretted getting on the bad side of. If I can do that, I can take care of this. The sky is the limit.

So when I wake up tomorrow, if todays design sticks and I don't go back on it, all credit goes to my #1 fan Larry over on Discord.

hint: I made Sadz into a dragon.

I sit in this fancy room full of objets d’art and am still the best looking thing in it. Moustache Power.

I have just said two snarky things to Dorothea, who has taken it in stride, as is her wont.

I am Much Too Good for you, but you have a kid so I’m helplessly charmed. Also: I’m rocking The Scottish Coat.

I am sleepy and adorably rumpled. I am also confused by Strange’s cryptic warning to trust no bugger.

I’m explaining things to dumb people, but I look good.

In which I squinch up my face and snarkily proclaim to my mentor that I’ve got a life.

A Sad Goodbye (Obey Me!) sad fic

content: After failing to nurse a sick cat back to health, Magdeline helps Satan say good bye. Established relationships, death, comforting someone.

Satan stared down at the meager little grave. While his pact human set a stone marker at the grave to soon wipe at her eyes. They had found an injured and very pregnant cat last week to bring her to the House of Lamentation. Lucifer had not even had the chance to say a word of protest before Magdeline had shut him down with her meek yet unbending insistence. So the past week had been spent with Satan and Magdeline caring for the injured cat. Two days ago the cat had gone into labor. Simeon and Luke rushing over with Solomon to help with the delivery and caring for the newborn kittens. There had been three in all. Healthy and big for Luke and Simeon to see to their feedings and bath times at Purgatory Hall as Solomon stayed with the mother. The former king sitting with Satan and Magdeline as the mother got worse and worse.

The mother had passed away early this morning. Satan having held her close during the night for her to be cold in his arms when he woke up. Solomon had been very gentle to wrap the body in a silken shroud as Lucifer saw to a space in their back garden. So Magdeline had cried all morning for the brothers to stay close to her as well as Satan. But now that they had lain the cat to rest, Satan was left at a loss on what to do next. His tears finally falling for him to just stand there and stare at the grave marker. But soon, Magdeline walked over to sit them down and hold Satan close. The both of them crying hard as the Avatar of Wrath asked with barely heard words, "What did I do wrong? Surely there was a way to save her? So why is she dead? I didn't want to say good bye..."

Magdeline sobbed as Satan also gave in to his grief. But then Simeon and Luke soon joined the hug to also be crying. Little Luke openly sniffling as Simeon gave Magdeline gentle pats to her head. Which gave her the strength to speak up and say what they all knew deep in their hearts. "We did all we could. But death is part of life. She was given love in her final moments. I am sure that she went to Heaven. I know that demons don't have the best opinion on God. But I believe that God took her home. So she's in a good place. We may miss her. But we shouldn't be sad for her, Satan." Luke nodded to give Satan a smile despite the tears streaming down his cheeks. So Satan felt a kind of peace wash over his heart as Simeon gave a prayer in Latin. Magdeline reaching up to wipe at Satan's tears with the sleeve of her hoodie. So the demon bowed his head to sigh and accept the love and truth offered with a simple, "Thank you..."

i find it really interesting that in "The Wanders" episode, every personality wonder has just gets 1 persona of him. But the "sad" wander has 4 SEPARATE WANDERS??

Im probably just thinking too much into it but.. damn. ☹️

Update: I started working on Will but took a break from him to focus on my sona and other personal art/characters. Then this happened.

I spent a good chunk of new years emotionally stabilizing myself before resuming work on my sona. We'll see what happens next.

After years of being criticized and belittled for my executive dysfunction, crippling anxiety, and undiagnosed hEDS, I second this.

I’m not “lazy” because I want to be.

Every movement is physically uncomfortable or even painful.

Rest and relaxation is vital when I’m not working. If I don’t, it has a detrimental effect on my mental health.

If your employer calls you slow and threatens to fire you, not your problem.

If your apartment/landowner criticizes you for being untidy, not your problem.

You are literally doing what you can to survive and they need to respect that.

Speaking from experience.

Also stop staying up late on your phone/pc.

And take your vitamins.
