I have this very steadfast headcanon that Emily plays the piano and I just think reader would go insane over that actually (I’m reader)

i had never thought about this but yes, absolutely!! this would make sense as to why she knows so many languages.

there’s a study that showed that piano training enhanced cortical responses to pitch changes in music and speech!! both the temporal lobe and the frontal lobe play big parts in processing the candece and rhythm, and the rules of languages and music. so, they play into each other a lot more than we think. musicians learn to listen for cues and accents and intonations, which would definitely help in learning a new language.

anyway, she’s been playing since she was young. throughout all the different cultures and languages she encountered during such a critical period of her life, she found that the only thing that managed to stay the same was music. she falls in love with the fact that it is an international language—one that can communicate without borders or boundaries, and she embraces it as the only constant in her fast paced life. She practices and practices, familiarizing herself with the black and white keys that seemed to speak to her in a way her own mother couldn’t bother to.

she’d down play it a lot, and she definitely would not mention it. the piano was her and hers only. her own little piece of the universe she kept tucked away because if everything else in her life got taken away, she still had her knowledge and her muscle memory.

and then along came you, showing so much interest in her and what she had to say that it almost made her suspicious. so, it was no surprise that when you found out she could play the piano you begged her to show you. she denied, of course, claiming that her skills weren’t what you thought them to be. but you were unrelenting, and when she finally gave in you couldn’t understand why she ever kept this hidden.

you could spend hours sitting next to her on that uncomfortable bench listening as she tried to break down a chord for you, or explain to you how a key could be both sharp and flat at the same time. it wasn’t anything you understood, but she seemed to light up whenever she explained it, and you’d endure the hours of confusion if it meant seeing her get back every bit of life her job took from her, her lithe fingers gliding across the keys with such a gentleness that it made you envy the inanimate object. sometimes she’d go months without so much as looking in the direction of the instrument, too busy with work to even think about it. but, you’d coax her into sitting down, saying that you wanted her to teach you something. it was her passion, what set her heart ablaze.

late into nights after she’d press you into her matress, fingers gliding across your skin the same way they did those keys, she evoked sounds from you that were sweeter than any chord progression. in the quiet of her room, between soft conversation and whispered nothings she’d confess to you that if it weren’t for her mother, she’d have to loved to pursue music professionally.

By not caring about them, does he mean that he would not want to take part in their upbringing, since his father traumatized him very much?

(I hope that in the scene, where renren and angel meet his parents, it will be possible to shoot taylor (or replenish a renren account on the darknet with a new torture...)

and another question: in day 3, it says that Ren only has a motorcycle, didn't Ren have a car? I remember for sure that somewhere there was an old answer where it was said that he had both a motorcycle and a car

ANSWERED: I think people see how "soft" Ren is on this blog and kinda forget the fact that he canonically only cares about Angel and no one else. He's often described as being apathetic, indifferent, and hostile towards everyone around him -- and the only person he truly feels empathy and genuine emotions for is Angel.

Ren would 100% care/be there for his kid and would never subject them to the same abuse he suffered as a child, but he won't prioritise them over Angel either. He'll love them because they're an extension of Angel, but he won't feel the same empathy or attachment the same way he does for his lifelong obsession. Canonically, Ren has no strong opinions on children, and he wouldn't really mind either way if Angel wanted to start a family or not. All he cares about -- and will ever care about -- is them.

If you haven't seen them already, here and here are two posts that show how Ren would react around his children.

I also wanna quickly clarify that Blog Ren differs from Canon Ren because while I don't see certain things happening in the official universe of 14DWY; I don't want to outright shut down people's creativity or ideas either. If someone asks about Ren's opinion on children, I'm not going to be like "he canonically hates them, next question". I want to give some sort of content that others can enjoy and work with. I hope this makes sense!! Any maybe helps to show the difference between the "canon" tag and "blog canon" tag! ^^

But!! As for Ren owning a car: he does!! It's a black Corvette -- but the reason why it's not mentioned in the demo is because it's linked with @unsentmemory's storyline (and the True Ending of 14DWY)! It'll be brought up later as more chapters are released, however!!

Also please keep in mind that we're only up to Day 3 out of 14+ days, so not all content found on this blog will appear in the demo ^^;

You relaxed, your head leaning back further into the bathtub, your lover grabbing your scalp massager and rubbing it into your scalp carefully, shampoo mixed in, the rest of your products on the end corner of your bathtub.

"Ma, you know you really needed this wash. Your hair was tangled as shit, like a lion or sum.” he says, laughing halfway through his sentence. You scoff at him jokingly, "Miles, when you have hair as long and thick as mine, you can violate my hair."

Miles protested, adding the conditioner to your hair, setting your scalp massager aside. "Baby, my hair is basically almost as long as yours."

"Yeah, almost." you spoke, putting your fingers up to his face in pinching motion, the gems on your acrylics just an inch close to touching his nose, a grin on your face. He backed up, pushing your hands out of his face, continuing your wash routine. "Princesa, lemme finish washing yo hair without your hands all up in my face."

About 3 and a half hours later, your hair was washed and in overnight twists with your bonnet on. You laid with Miles in your bed, legs on top of each others, tired.

"Y'know, you actually good at dealin' wit my hair." you spoke, giving Miles a kiss on his forehead. “When you got a mama like mine, you pretty much have to.” Miles chuckled, shaking his head. “You should let me do it more often.” You smiled in response.

He buried his head into the crook of your neck, slowly dozing off by the way you'd play with the silk of his durag. "I love you Miles."

He mumbled words once again into your neck, half asleep, but you knew what he said.

"I love you more, mi vida."

Hi! Sorry this took a bit! I've never written age regression before, but it was interesting to look into! I've, like, read stuff about it before, but writing it was a new experience entirely, especially for two characters I'm not all that into. It was super fun and enlightening, thank you!

Espresso Cookie x Age Regressor! Reader x Madeleine Cookie

When you started dating Espresso and Madeleine, you’d never even thought about mentioning the whole age regression thing. At least, not at first.

… Maybe you’d just forgotten, until it actually happens, albeit involuntarily. It might happen one day, if you’re overwhelmed or shut down from sensory overload, or as the result of a panic attack.

The two are confused, but still willing to help. It’s not that they’re unaccepting, just a little confused the first time around.

Once everything returns to normal and the dust settles, you realise you’ll likely have to come out about the whole thing. It’s a little scary, and surely they’d…

…. But no! Espresso had already started researching such a thing after the first time. He’s efficient, after all. Madeleine isn’t by any means dumb, but he’s a little bad with social cues I’d like to believe, so Espresso has to clue him in.

So next time it happens, voluntary or involuntary, they’re prepared. When you’re little, Espresso will wrap his cape around you like a blanket. It’s an odd amount of tenderness for him, really. If you’re overwhelmed, he’s likely the one you go to for soothing words and slow hugs.

… Madeleine, on the other hand, is all dramatics and sweeping motions, telling stories and recalling tales. Maybe they’re a bit exaggerated, but with how you laugh and smile and grown visibly warmer at his sweeping motions and funny voices, it’s definitely the right thing.

Like, look at Madeleine and tell me this man wouldn’t be sick at those library things where you read to kids. He’d put on little voices and do huge motions.

If Espresso reads to you, it’s visibly calmer with less dramatics. Like, far less. Probably better for bedtime stories and such, in a way.

Madeleine will spoil you rotten, whether it’s toys or literally anything else you need. Espresso in comparison is a bit more sensitive to your more subtle needs, making sure everything is perfect for you to process your feelings, however big and overwhelming.

For two people with a bit of a ‘rivalry’, albeit a loving one given the nature of your relationship, the two function like a well-oiled machine.

i think g-d put jegulus height difference in the scripture . anything else feels fake and so unlike them . i need regulus to be small enough james can pick him up and chuck him over a shoulder. regulus is canonically really short so this isn’t even fake. james is tall according to VOLDEMORT …. which is crazy…… i think people who get mad abt it r genuinely tweaking over nothing …. i think james should tower over him like a giant cuddly teddy bear who when he hugs regulus regulus is wrapped up!!! i think there is a solid 7-12 inch height difference depending on the day .. my james is never shorter than 6’1 and never taller than 6’3 and my reg is never shorter than 5’3 but never taller than 5’6…. i speak g-ds word !
