Fuck it Karamatsu Day may be over in my country but it won’t stop me from writing this silly little cringe thing. Just random yapping about this idiotic trash husband

First I wanna say I hope I didn’t scare off the people that follow(ed) me for my Bruno or Satoru stuff (I still love them dearly and plan on drawing them again…already have a idea for Satoru! :>) but Karamatsu is that tiny little parasite that likes to remind myself that he exists and that I like him

ANYWAYS ITS KARAMATSU TIME!

I remember when I first started watching OsoSan (back in 2016) I immediately loved it. The humor was funny, the characters are cute and fun and the art style is so good and colorful (it even inspired me to always use a color for my lineart)…ngl I miss when the line art looked kinda messy? It had a certain charm to it.

It took me a tiny bit to remember the names and the voices but it didn’t take long till I was like “the guy with the thick eyebrows and deep voice is cool I like this dude”

I mean he maaaaybe had an advantage because he was blue (which is my favorite color duh) but I really liked him the most out of them all. And the more I watched the more I could see myself in him which was kinda wild when he sometimes acts all confident and extroverted while I’m like teenage Kara (yes I know his confident side is like a facade)

I always knew when there was an episode with him where he is more heavily involved in it was a good one. He made me laugh the most. Yet also made me feel bad? Like I swear I can’t see him cry even if it is for a comedic effect I always wanna give him a hug

He’s so pathetic and an ass and dumb as hell but so cute and lovable and my sweet little baby girl all the smooches for pookie

I love (but tbh with all characters too) that he feels…real. In terms of writing they made these dumb goofy anime characters feel like real people. I mean…we all probably have or had a Karamatsu in our lives. Either way thanks to his flaws his good sides feel even more special. He can be a really friendly and open guy and be empathetic. He also is a family man. Lets say you see him for example him bragging how great his brothers are as a narcissistic thing. That they are great because they are his. But I think it’s a mixture. he loves his family as shitty as they may treat him regardless. Karamatsu was so pissed and even got physical when Osomatsu was a piss baby at S1 EP24. Why? Because he was rude to his family and even was about to mess with Jyushi.

(After someone mentioned that Karamatsu looks at his fist (when he begged Chibita to let him stay in his house) because he felt bad he hurt Oso….IM NOT CRYING. I DIDNT EVEN REALIZE HE WAS LOOKING AT IT)

In that same episode once Osomatsu was a crybaby (for an understandable reason. I went through this too) Karamatsu took the role of being the big brother and omg he was so supportive. Good big brother reward goes to you, baby

Then we have the legendary Ichimatsu Incident

Karamatsu could have easily be an ass, give a fuck about Ichi and be like “why the hell are you wearing my perfect fashion????” But nah because he knows Ichimatsu would be embarrassed as hell he just pretend to be Ichi only to make him a Karamatsu Boy pffff

Then we have the moment in S2 when their dad got sick and Kara was the first one to run in and call for his father. You could hear the worry, concern and fear in his voice (VA is so 👌👌👌👌 I can’t say it enough 👏)

And then you have the movie which basically the whole thing shows that he deeply cares about his family.

In S3 where they all walked and hit the topic of having children and he said “yeah I would like a junior too”. Nah fam I can see all exhausted but still say “can we make another baby?”

Oh and I quickly wanna mention that…the shorts they did for the movie with the one of Kara and Choro….man I wanna see more of that. Like seeing a Kara teasing his brothers like that? Like typical big brother at little brother shit? GIVE ME MORE I NEED MORE

Just saw a post about how studies path is different for everyone and it reminded me of how I loved the Good Will Hunting reference in Community and how it shows some interesting anti ellitist views about career choices and social class

Im adding a link of the scene in question for context but for those who can't watch it, in s1 ep24 there are some math students struggling to resolve a puzzle on a green board. Then they are gone and Troy approaches, takes a chalk, stares at the board, ans just goes away with the chalk lol, before stopping at the water machine to drink, but sees it's not working, so he then proceeds to repair it like he has been doing this his whole life. Then he leaves and two plumbers, who saw the scene, come to talk to him, too late.

First the gag is really funny, like textbook setup payoff joke, but with a double payoff because the first one is that Troy is not good at logic so it shouldnt be a surprise he doesn't resolve the puzzle. But because we all know good will hunting we are still expecting it. But this would have been unsatisfying/unfinished if Troy would have resolved nothing at all, and so instead he repairs the pipes of the water machine, and this is how we get to see his actual gift : repairing stuff.

Troy in this gag is a mirror of Will : just like him, he is in a life path that can't make him discover and exploit his true potential ; like him his speciality is almost a gift, something he has intuitively, and that he is always good at, and can get him to prestigious places (Troy later learns he is the chosen one to plumbing school AND AC repair school, and even becomes the Messiah of the latter and saves someone's life and restores justice with his gift - s3 ep 22). But on the surface, Troy has an opposite path from will : while Will starts as a janitor and ends up as a student, Troy does the opposite: he starts as a student and becomes a worker of manual labour, something that, in our world, is seen as less valuable, and a downgrade from his former status. But not in Greendale. Here the ac repair school is like this masonic organisation that controls Greendale's budget and by doing so holds the actual power, because they are the only ones who can actually guarantee their students a job at the end of their cursus.

And while it sounds crazy, it is not far from the truth. Speaking for myself, I tried (and failed) a master degree in human sciences only to find out I wouldn't have been sure to find a job with it anyways because long studies are not valuable anymore, whereas almost all the people I know who did short studies and more manual labor are in a more stable situation than me. I also have ADHD, and I'm almost sure Troy has as well which explains in part the struggling in this capitalist élitiste system. While classes give Troy a hard time to focus or study, repairing is something Troy is actually good at, and the series explains it by making a parallel with air conditioning and people, because "the true repairman will repair men" (s3 ep 22). Troy seems to actually use his high emotional intelligence (yet again something seen as less valuable than logic etc) to repair stuff because he know how things and people work. It doesn't matter if he doesn't have extended knowledge about everything because he is best at focusing on what's just before him and between his hands. This way community shows another look on manual labor and it's actual value, because let's not forget that without it the whole society litteraly falls appart.

PS : just a reminder that I know that choosing a job is very often not motivated by gift or passion because capitalism and so the ones in power need poor people who have nothing to lose to do the physical, hurting labor while the rich get to choose. This post was just taking about these jobs are seen as inferior because they are mostly done by people with low education, but that doesn't mean these jobs don't require actual skills and knowledge, on the contrary. Just wanted to clarify a bit

Though her weakness is an Eiffel Tower keychain which, if broken, will kill her.

    Unlike the episode's actual ending in S3 EP24, Mayura isn't capable of releasing her due to the Eiffel Tower keychain being within the safe space-like inventory of Ladybug's yo-yo in which Dussu's ability cannot intervene.

     Now, with Ladybug's help, she has managed to start her own life as a pseudo-human. It's worth mentioning that she is aware of Ladybug's real identity and swore to never tell anyone, reminding Marinette that she literally has her life in her hands and, if she were to ever stray, then she can be killed immediately.

     As of now, Sentimonster Ladybug goes by Bridgette Cheng and lives hidden away, often showing up when Marinette needs her double to assist her in both serious, and also random situations, either as a cover for Ladybug or needing Multimouse again, it depends greatly on whatever Marinette might need.

     Provided that Wang Fu is no longer the guardian, Bridgette lives on her own in the now closed antique shop that the old-man used to run as a cover up. And, unlike Marinette, she's interested in anthropology and psychology since she wants to have a greater understanding on who she is, and better yet, who she can become.

As an additional partially unrelated note, but this movie makes Rin a little more confident in her position in Sesshomaru's life than Rin typically is.

I think the only time we really see Rin confident that Sesshomaru will save her is S6 Ep24 (excluding TFA)

Not that I don't think her confidence could've developed between S5ep6 and the movie taking place, but THIS

Is pretty damn confident. Almost... uncharacteristically so. She doesn't even technically call out for Sesshomaru to help her like she usually does, she just internally screams for him. That's like... a pretty drastic change.

Even in S6 Ep 24, she still calls out for Sesshomaru to help her.

And she's still surprised/relieved he actually showed up

That's a pretty noticeable difference between the InuKag dynamic and Sesshomaru & Rin, to me, because Rin is always a little bit more unsure if Sesshomaru cares about her, up until

Sesshomaru expresses affection towards her.

Whereas Kagome, the one pretty confident that Inuyasha WILL save her, that they're a team, friends, etc-- is the one kinda questioning the depths of her relationship with Inuyasha in this movie?

(S2 Ep25 The Demon's True Nature)

In the first movie, Kagome jumps off Kirara midair because she knows Inuyasha will catch her. So, like... This is rambly, but,

The third movie is my absolute least favorite of the four. I'll watch 4 over 3 any day.

But it's got Inuparents! Yeah great, fun times, anyway

Here's why I hate it, short and sweet:

It's like Sunrise tried to butcher Inuyasha's character even more than they already have.

Take this scene from the beginning(ish?) part of the movie.

Inuyasha looks concerned about Kagome being injured. That's a canon InuKag moment right?

But then he just leaves? Don't give me that, "he wasn't in control of himself" bullshit. When Naraku forced his demon out, he still refused to kill Kagome and instead tried to save her! He's controlled himself enough that he wouldn't hurt her even when he wasn't in control of himself.

This is the same guy like 100 chapters into the manga series went

Like this guy wasn't about to let Kagome just lay there injured with zero protection and this pompous asshole who probably uses gravel as toilet paper because he likes the aesthetic or whatever

anywhere near her without leaving her with some amount of protection. When Sesshomaru tried to attack Inuyasha with the whole fake arm business, Inuyasha left her in the care of Miroku, whom he didn't quite fully trust either.

And he abandons her with Myoga? Who flees at the slightest perception of what maybe-could-possibly-slightly-be-considered-if-you-squint-and-spin-around-really-fast danger?

And you're going to tell me that he's just going to get up and be like "yeah, this is fine" and stalk off after his half-brother. Canon Inuyasha would've either let it go or carried Kagome with him until he found her a safe place.

But leaving out in the open like that? Please. We know you want to paint him as the ultimate two-timer for drama and 12-year-old-teen-romance-fantasies, but seriously, show some respect for characterization.

Maybe Yashahime wouldn't have sucked more ass than Jaken, if you hadn't been so obsessed with painting Inuyasha as the cheater you dream him of being.
