a drawing of them should b ready soon but in the meanwhile, to have something to post on here, here's Dorenia/Ren! He's a pneuma hydro catalyst originally from Fontaine but moved to Liyue. She's an adventurer who also helps out at Bubu Pharmacy, running errands and occasionally delivering things. I haven't thought too much about their dynamic with Baizhu yet, as he's rather new but um. They're silly together and love each other so much trust <3 Ren uses any pronouns !

Ren owes me 22 dollars.... I think I remember you saying before that if Ren and Angel had kids Ren would still prioritise Angel over them so it has given me a couple of questions?

1. If Angel passed away what kind of father would Ren be? If it was because of childbirth would Ren 'blame' his child?

2. If Ren discovered one of his children was a yandere like him what would his reaction be?

I don't really enjoy talking about how Ren would react to Angel dying (nor can I see him moving on after they've died), and I don't feel comfortable talking about maternal death either, sorry. All I'll say is that Ren would never blame his own child for something like that.

If Ren found out his child was also a yandere like him, he honestly would not care in the slightest T_T His main priority will always be Angel, and what his child gets up to whenever he's not around isn't... really his concern. He'd still care for his child's wellbeing (obviously), but if they want to go around stalking and murdering people for the one they love, Ren won't snitch — nor would he try to help them, either. All he cares about is Angel, and if they're safe and happy, he will be too.

honestly the most "yikes!" thing to me about ~timkon clone baby~ aus isn't even how insanely out of character they all are. it's the way every single post i see about them really just tells on the op so hard about how much they have NOT unpacked re: the nuclear family model and consent in relationships

there's just something about how, through wang qing's voice, cheng xiaoshi breathes life into his own feelings,

"just due to some difference, i've been judged, ignored, and bullied by everyone around me."

the bullying wang qing faced may have been for a different reason, but it's bullying nonetheless, it's these teenagers harming and holding power over another "just due to some difference", it's what happened to a young cheng xiaoshi after his parents left him, it's what continues to happen to so many children and teenagers all because they're perceived as "different", and others deem this difference as "wrong", as enough of a reason to justify their cruel behaviour.

these lines are universal in that sense, anyone who's been on the receiving end of such ostracization, of such hurt and humiliation, would relate to it, and this is why it's just so, so cathartic when he has this outburst — lc lays emphasis not only on his heartbreak at being abandoned, but also everything else he has had to endure because of said abandonment.

Dmitrie: He gets on Rikai's nerves sooo much it is so funny oh my goodness. With his obnoxious flirting towards Amahiko, and him trying to 'ship' the rest of the charismas he gets yelled at a lot (reasonably so bc what is this man's problem!1!1!1) for acting like a weirdo. I need to put them in a locked room with security cameras together and watch what happens..

Éloise: Her dislike of Mozus is mainly something that rubbed off on her from Divus, but it'd still definitely be there without him around. She considers him a pain to talk to for long and feels as though he's a strict, boring old guy. If she had to choose, she much prefers standing off to the side giggling as she watches Divus and him bicker.

✨ ; What are some of your S/Is favorite things, aside from your F/O?

Dmitrie: He eats UP badly written romance, could live off of a steady supply of YA fiction instead of food for about a month or two. He also has a bit of a sweet tooth, and enjoys cherry and strawberry flavored things. His favorite color is red, the color of love, but he's also a fan of pink and white, since they're other colors commonly associated with love. He also loves stuff with tacky heart motifs. Valentine's Day and the days leading up to it are like the "Objective: Survive" time of the year for his wallet.

Éloise: She loooves things with berries, especially blueberries! I imagine she always has some blueberry tea in her house because it's her favorite kind, and indulges on blueberry tarts once in a while when she needs to satisfy her sweet tooth. In terms of music, she likes classier stuff, usually listening to orchestral music while she works or relaxes. She wears a lot of green and works with nature, so me saying she likes it isn't anything special, but she also has a fondness for orange and I think she'd really like amber jewelry :] Anddd finally, one of her favorite flowers is a sunflower 🌻! I'd have to google a bunch of flowers to accurately list off what she likes since she probably knows ten times more types off hand than I do but those I do know about. So yay!

📚 ; Do you think any of your S/Is from different media would get along well?

Ohh absolutely!! Martha being the gothic girl she is would looove being around Rina, and be so curious about her whole.. haunted doll thing. I think Rina and Odette could also be doll friends and bond over doll things. Jarek and Dmitrie would at least get along decently because I think they'd be able to bond over The Longing™ together, but this is assuming Dmitrie doesn't start being really weird. As all the crsm characters are known to be. But even then I think Jarek wouldn't mind much like c'mon he's in love with King Yaoi III who knows maybe being Like That is just how Dmitrie copes with being in love with whoever this Amahiko guy is 🤷 Dorenia is a friendly fella so he'd generally be pretty ok with most of my other S/Is I think. Aven and them feel like they'd get along well but I think that's because they're some of the most Nikolai-truthful characters in terms of personality so I think that's just them being similar people,, Interesting question hehe this was really funny to think about!

If Angel likes k#lling people for some reason, would Ren like to be their partner in crime or would he prefer to keep Angel away from that? mmmm (this is my second question, sorry)

⌞♥⌝ Canonically, Ren would probably create an entirely different persona before meeting Angel at the library for the first time, as his current/Haruko persona would be far too timid and empathetic (and OOC) to even consider harming anyone.

But if we're going off of a completely separate AU, then yes, Ren would be down to be Angel's partner in crime! He'd gladly help out in any way he could and would probably make sure that Angel never gets caught or has any leads tied to them.

Ren: *sighs* Thank you again for letting me come by on such short notice, Jaune…I just…needed some space from Nora right now…

Jaune: *doing dishes after dinner while Pyrrha plays with Arkos kiddos in the living room* Hey, it’s no problem! The twins love when their favorite uncle visits! *pauses awkwardly* We can set up the pull-out bed after I finish, if you need to stay the night…?

Ren: Thank you again…*hands Jaune a cleaned plate*

Jaune: *stacks plate in drying rack and starts on a glass*

Jaune: …you know, Ren, if you wanna talk-

Ren: *interrupting suddenly* How did you forgive Pyrrha?

Jaune: *nearly drops glass* W-what…?!

Ren: I-I’m sorry, I’m not very good at…expressing my emotions or talking about others…

Ren: But after what happened with Nora, I need to know!

Ren: Back when Beacon fell, Pyrrha sent you away before she went up in the tower…you said that was your first kiss, but then she used it to trap you in a locker. It was a betrayal of your trust when Pyrrha chose to send you away and go to a fight she couldn’t hope to win.

Ren: I could see that she hurt you, Jaune. Even when she came back, I saw the pain she caused you, but now…

Ren/Jaune: *look over at Pyrrha playing with squealing Arkos children, balancing one on each shoulder while squatting up and down*

Ren: …and now, I’ve never seen two people more happy or in love.

Ren: So please, I need to know…

Ren: How did you do it? How did you work past something like that and stay together?

Jaune: *puts down the glass and pauses, watching Pyrrha do push-ups with her son clinging to her back while her daughter crawls underneath*

Jaune: …I gotta tell you, Ren, it was really rough for us, when Pyrrha came back. At first, I was like, SUPER happy to see her again, you know? It was like everything could go back to the way it was before Beacon fell!

Jaune: But after that feeling wore off, I remembered all that stuff you were just talking about, like how Pyr kissed me, and then shoved me in a locker and ran off without me to get killed instead of coming with us, and it started to bug me.

Jaune: …like, I REALLY started to resent her.

Ren: We all noticed. You stopped talking around her and stopped looking her in the eye. I think Pyrrha almost cried every time she saw you because you seemed so distant.

Jaune: Yeah…I was kinda bitter…Looking back, I know what she did was a dumb teenage decision made under a lot of unfair pressure, but at the time I was still mad, and I guess I kinda wanted to see her hurt because she hurt me…

Jaune: …in hindsight, it was pretty shitty of me to be all passive-aggressive and cold just to hurt her back, and I was being a dumb teenager too…

Ren: Did that realization make the difference?

Jaune: Nope.

Jaune: Believe it or not, I called my mom.

Jaune: I told her everything that was going on, and my problems with Pyrrha, and she gave me some advice her grandpa told her about relationships:

Jaune: *does a southern accent* “When the goin’ gets tough, ya only have two options: Ya either stop lovin’ ‘em, or ya love ‘em a whole lot more!” 🤠

Ren: …so…

Ren: …that’s the secret?

Jaune: *resumes putting cleaned plates away in cabinet* …weeeeelllll…there was a lot more to it than that! Pyrrha and I had to have a big talk about our relationship, and there were a lot of tears and apologies, but great-grandpappy’s advice kinda made me sit down and decide whether I wanted to be with Pyrrha or not, and once I decided that I wanted to be with her I could figure out what I had to do…

Jaune: *feels an impact as his son glomps onto his leg like a koala*

Jaune: *grins down at Arkos kid* And I think I picked the better choice! *scoops up his son as Pyrrha gathers up Arkos daughter for bedtime*

Ren: …your great-grandpappy sounds like a wise man, Jaune…

Ren: If you don’t mind, I think I need to make a call.

Ren later called Nora and they made up on Jaune and Pyrrha’s pull-out couch.

Nora: *snuggled against Ren’s chest* I’m glad you called, Ren, but what made you decide to give me another chance?

Ren: Someone gave me some advice that helped me decide what I wanted:

Ren: *in a terribly-executed southern accent* “When tha goin’ gets tuff, ya only got two opshuns: stop luvin ‘um, or ya luv um a whole lot more!”
