hi, hi!! if you don't mind, could you please write some headcanons about how Baji will behave in love (when he is somewhere around 12-13 years old), and also about how his friends will tease him/help him. In one of Wakuya's posts it was indicated that he is not interested in a relationship, but nothing can protect him from falling in love. (female reader please and you can make her anyone you want, someone's sister, friend, classmate, etc.)

Baji has never been in love before and he wasn't interested in relationships as well. Rather, he wanted to focus on Toman. Relationship would have gotten in his way. That's what he thought.

But what is this unfamiliar yet nice feeling he gets whenever he sees you? It's like thousands of butterflies fly in his stomach.

When Baji would fall in love, he'd be very confused with what he feels. He's not sure because he has never experienced this before and sometimes, it's hard to say if you love someone romantically or platonically.

He'd definitely tell his mom about you, sometimes even without realising and when Ryoko asked him "Are you in love with her?" that's when he considered the possibility that he might have actually fallen in love.

Gosh he'd look forward to see you every single day. A type of boy who would walk you to anywhere you go just so he could spend time with you. He'd take you anywhere because "he has a bike and it's faster than walking" but what he truly wanted was to spend time with you.

His cheeks would immediately get red if you would compliment him.

Toman was newly formed, hence he needed to fight a lot with founding members to make Toman grow. That's why he thought that confessing and being in relationship at this moment would be troublesome.

He acted normally with his friends but they still noticed slight changes in Baji, though they didn't give that much thoughts back then.

That is, until Pah chin and Mitsuya caught him walking with a girl. With Pah chin's urging and Mitsuya being curious himself, they decided to follow you two a bit. Except then Kazutora popped out of nowhere and now three of them were following you two.

Next day Pah chin immediately started teasing Baji with something like "I didn't know you had a girlfriend, Baji!" and Baji would be confused at first before he'd blush madly.

Kazutora and Pah chin gave him NO BREAK from their teasings and for more, they were urging him to confess already. But Baji didn't want to rush things, he had to think about it all himself.

His personality or behaviour around others wouldn't change, but if you would compare how he acts around you to how he acts with his friends usually, you'd immediately know that he's in love with you. Ofc you didn't know how he was with his friends tho.

Let me name one scenario where Baji was riding with Toman captains and he just saw something from the store that just reminded him of you. He'd immediately stop the bike to buy it and give it to you later. (he'd have to deal with lot of teasings from his friends).

People say that love makes you weak but if it's for you, Baji gladly would be weak and vulnerable, even if he dislikes being such. If it's for you, he doesn't mind.

He has accidentally spoken about you so many times. Like he'd be thinking about you a lot, so often he'd just blub out anything about you.

He took you to his home because "you'd help him with his studies" and Ryoko treated you like her daughter already rather than as Baji's friend. (He never stopped talking about you with her).

what makes me so crazy is matsuda doesnt really want to hurt anyone, he wants to do good for the world but is stuck in this endless cycle of trying to keep the girl he loves safe. did he have to kill those people? yes. because it would keep her safe. did he have to hide those bodies? also yes. because it kept her safe. did he have to drug her? yes. because shes trying to end the world and hurt herself along with it. while technically he didnt have to do any of this it wouldve killed him to let her get hurt or die, thats why he tries to kill her because maybe then she’ll stop being such a risk to herself. fully believe he either wouldnt have gone through with it or if he did kill her he wouldve gone down with her. he cant live without her, and after everything she does remember him. scrubs face Hi

He loves her so much it slaughters me.

Like, the contrast between his previous two murders and how he tries to kill her. With Soshun he's trying to dissociate, he dehumanizes him and refers to him as a "thing", and he has to squeeze his eyes shut because he just can’t handle it. It's horrific. With Yuto, its quick but violent, head completely snapped at 180 degrees. He feels guilt, but he’s at the point where he doesn’t really care, because its no longer the worse thing he's done. His death isn’t lingered on. Its detached.

But with Ryoko, he is described as being gentle multiple times, he's looking into her eyes. He tries to be comforting by telling her she doesn’t have to remember anymore. Its romantic. Soshun is a threat to junko's safety, so he is viewed as a monster. Yuto is an obstacle in the way of protecting Junko, so he is viewed as an object. Ryoko is Junko, so this is viewed as an act of love.

I noticed that he will often talk about how necessary killing them was for junko's sake, but he’s only saying that to himself to make the guilt go down easier; as mastuda knew soshun couldn’t hear him and yuto was dead (and he didn’t acknowledge ryoko's presence until after) when he said he needed to kill them for her. But he outright says that killing Junko is for his sake, and its another parallel i find so interesting.

Back pokes won't get you a laugh but he will squirm like an idiot lmao

Jun-ho has only gotten revenge on In-ho a few times, all ending I'm him being wrecked again for even daring to enact revenge on his brother

Jun-ho often holds his lers wrists to ground himself a bit

He's definitely a kicker in my opinion

He shakes his head a lot too

He's very susceptible to teases

He has ticklish hands I think

In-ho often will surprise him from behind, finding the way his knees immediately buckle insanely amusing

He seems the feather ticklish type to me

The back of his knees are pretty bad

He once accidentally kicked one of his friends in the face for jellyfishing his knee

In-ho has hung him half off his bed to wreck him for being annoying

His laugh fluctuates between between deep and really squeaky

Neck nuzzles get him pretty bad

He bucks sometimes

After not seeing each other for years, the first time In-ho so much as poked him they both questioned if he had somehow gotten more ticklish

Jun-ho sometimes buries his face into his pillow knowing full well that In-ho will 100% tickle him awake (what he doesn't know is he's really bad at faking and In-ho always knows what he's doing)

I'm here for the "Senshi is trans" headcanons because of the most recent episode, and I hear you. But an often overlooked aspect of fantasy writing and character design is the for dwarven folk, women can be just as masculine as men. It varies depending on the source, but depending on the culture, author, and/or creator, dwarven women can have beards just as magnificent as dwarven men, and I choose to believe Ryoko Kui knows this and is going to acknowledge this within the world of Dungeon Meshi (if she hasn't already, anime only here). KEEP YOUR TRANS HEADCANONS THO, I DON'T WANT TO DISCOURAGE Y'ALL!!!!! I just think it's a neat little aspect that we don't see often, and I hope to see it in this series.

Bōsōzoku culture derives/d from lower class Japanese youth who’ve banded together to express dissatisfaction with Japanese Society.

America is very familiar with countercultural movements lmao. Punk/Grunge/Metal/etc…

Youth are aimless, reckless, and rebellious.

If you’ve ever enjoyed the book The Outsiders by S.E Hinton , you know this is a prime example of brotherhood bonds between lower class hoodlums. In Oklahoma, of all places.

Otherwise known as; Yankii, Sukeban, Kyushakai.

Today I plan to point out a few:

Yankii Mothers / YanMaMa; Ryoko Baji

early ’90s, yankii men occasionally entered construction and teen women had children and dropped out of high school — both stereotypes that persist today. *The young yankii mothers — yan mama — were often ostracized by other mother groups and struggled to assimilate to their new identities as parents.

Within a year of publication, Yan Mama Comic had reached of circulation of 120,000, helping to bond socially isolated communities of young mothers.

NO DOUBT ABOUT IT FOLKS; Ryoko and Baji’sDad were definitely two yankii teens who fell in love and had a kid too young.

Headcanon! That Keisuke’s parents were set on making a badass life together, and be awesome young parents with the coolest and toughest new punk kid to add to the books!

…But, they were still two idiots. Baji’s father probably ran head first, sacrificing himself in one way or another, I’m sure.

This leads you to wonder ~..

Mikey: all younger siblings admire their older brothers! Shinichiro was the leader of a biker gang, of course Mikey would want to follow in his footsteps! So Mikey’s reason soon turns to::

Shinichiro: By being a overall stand up guy, true to his word and genuine to a fault, he had a strength not a lot of people had. He welcomed friendships with BlackSheep, and made a home for them however he could. Strong ally’s stood by him and as long as he’s around, they would support his ideals in shaping a better future.

Draken: was literally born into it. Escorts have been judged and poorly treated left and right, taking care of yourself—with a child to boot; was hell for a women. Unwanted kids of “filth” aren’t usually welcomed in social circles. The Children bare the injustice of inconvenience. By living with escorts and witnessing first hand the “low-class work” so many have had to endure to make a decent way of life, Draken learned young that life was unfair. So to live, you have to make a way of life for yourself, unapologeticly.

Mitsuya: Poor kids are looked down on a lot. Made fun of for things they can’t control. Kids with jobs are looked down on for being in the working class so soon. With a mother who was never home, and taking care of two younger sisters, he needed strength to deal with how unfair his life was. Meeting Draken, and realizing that the struggle to survive and keep trying to have a family even when it’s hard, he started respecting his mother a lot more. He found a sense of belonging Toman…

Baji: also literally born into it. Grew up with a single mother who was looked down on for being young/dropping out of school. Supporting her as the only Man of the house, Keisuke takes after his mother’s confidence. He also is seen having an alternative sense of fashion, making me believe he is definitely a metal head.

Kazutora: dealt with a lot growing up. He was bullied for being a sheepish pushover. He was hit by his father for any level of individuality /expression of defiance. He was manipulated into always having to pick one right side, and that there was always one wrong side. He tries showing loyalty by giving everything he has to friendships that hurt him, without realizing friends shouldn’t hurt him. No matter who he was, there was never anyone he could just be a person with. Be a part of the perfect high status family you were born into, or face the punishments. He finds comfort when he finds a family he can trust and be a person who makes mistakes. Friends are meant to be treasured. And after meeting Baji, and joining Toman, he found somewhere he could belong.

Pah: I still need to look more into him I can’t lie.

Takemichi: Bozosoku culture is notorious for being social justice fighters, as the entire notion of a subculture is to defy societal injustice anyway. And that’s just who Takemitchi is; a friend to everyone.

Hinata: the prime example of Dating into the lifestyle. It’s easy to admire and possibly fall in love with people as passionate as rebellious, adrenaline junky teens. She’s empathetic to how others see Takemichi, knowing above all else, he loves her more than anything!

Emma: she never really got into being a part of the gang, but she was by association. All of her brothers. She’s always been the crown jewel of TokyoManji! But not only that; Emma isn’t fully Japanese. True, a lot of the cast is multinationality. But she has Mikey on her side. She is his family, and that makes her strong. Foreigners are often ostracized, easy to pick out due to her natural Blonde hair. (*blonde hair is also often an act of rebellion, she showing that she refuses to dye it black to fit in can also say a little about other issues-)

LETS NOT FORGET!!! TOMAN IS BUILD ON THE BACK OF “The Little guy who sticks up for the Weak”.

The series is based on what kind of world Manjiro Sano chooses to build. Every timeline is unintentionally set by his hand, because he is that powerful of a person. Because people follow him. Manjiro is the type of person who changes fates.

By losing Shinichiro; Manjiro loses Empathy.

Shinichiro was a charismatic and empathetic person, often putting differences aside to better the other person. He was a heavily respected person in the delinquent world of Japan as the founder of Black Dragon. He led Black Dragon with a humble heart and was treated with notable respect, while also being a big brother to all three of his siblings. Even though he was a weak fighter, he lead the Black Dragon with his immense charisma. Even years after his death, later generations of members still hold him in high regard.

A person like Shinichiro is the kind of man people follow. The Weak Guy sticking up for his friends; The One who Always Won..

In a subculture seeking structure, he is the perfect person to leading a generation of a kinder and more empathetic people.

If Baji had younger sister, I feel like he'd try to be best brother. He genuinely would be so happy because he had to spend like 13 years as an only child and being only child is really lonely. So he definitely would be excited to have a sibling.

He'd definitely introduce her to his friends: Mikey, Kazutora, Draken, Mistuya and Pah-chin.

I like to think that he'd ask Mitsuya for advice since Mitsuya has little sisters and he'd gladly give Baji advice.

I feel like Baji often would give his sister piggyback rides very often and have her in his hands.

He'd be encouraging his sis when she'll be starting to take her first steps. He'd be like "Yes yes YES YES YOU'RE DOING WELL!"

When she's so little, he'll read bedtime stories to her and fell asleep with her.

He'd have a beef with a toddler if they take his sister's toy. Toddler is a kid too like his sis? So? So what? They took her toy!

He'd be so understanding and supportive to be honest.

He definitely would teach her things about fights and talk about Toman with her.

Watching movies together and for some reason his little sister ended up liking the goddamn horror movies which creeps him out.

Despite him being older, I feel like he'd play fight with her like a damn child her age.

He'd let her style his hair and probably would end up with the most ridiculous hairstyle.

For Ryoko, she'd be on the ninth sky from happiness to have another kid and she'd raise her with love and affection.

She loves her kids so much, they're her world and reason to live.

She'd give both of them equal affection and attention, tho the youngest would need more attention obviously, but Baji would help her because he loves spending time with his sister.

Lil sis: big brother, I'm going to be just like you!!

Baji: NO! No, no, no please mom is going to kill me.

Ryoko, just entering the room: Why would I kill you?

Because let's be fr. Baji has...questionable habits. I'm pretty sure you'd also be worried if your kid just decided to be like her big brother who burns cars when he's hungry.

Okay, I said I was taking a break and I will after this one, but I HAD to write this down before I forget it, because I think it's so funny.

Sexuality is the one blind spot in Junko's analyst abilities. Junko is like well I love Yasuke, so I'm straight, case closed, more important things to devote brain energy to. But when she's writing down Ryoko's notebook to fill out her brain she throws in "also you like girls" for the shits and giggles of giving herself Sexuality Related Despair.

But Ryoko is like. Yeah!! Of course I like girls. Writes three pages in her notebook about every single girl she sees waxing poetic about their hair and legs and doodling them holding hands and ~kissing~ (and then ripping them out because Yasuke Can't Know She's Cheating In Her Head)

So when Junko has cleaned her hands from murdering Yasuke she just kind of sits down and goes well. Okay. Now that's done. What the FUCK was that gay shit about

Headcanon; post-canon, Mithrun stayed in the Canaries lodging for a while — his squad were happy for that, and none moreso than Pattadol who worries a fair bit about him living alone. But, ultimately, he got his own place in Melini once everyone else had moved on as well.

Despite being from a noble family and having connections to both his brother and the new King, he saw little reason to pull said strings. It probably was suggested by Pattadol and maybe also Cithis that having live-in servants might be beneficial, but he declined. Having a large home and servants felt no different than the lodging quarters, so what was the point? He would only be there periodically, anyway.

Mithrun has a simple house in Melini with a fairly large garden. It's an average sized house, primarily built from wood— the one thing he did accept help on was having it furnished/decorated, because it would have been the same to him if he had nothing besides a mattress to sleep on— and everyone seemed bothered by that idea. It's actually quite a nice space, now. The garden is mostly made up of flowers and a few fruit/vegetable patches, though none of it is Mithrun's doing. It was all left from the previous owners.

His home is cozy, to a degree, but it does feel slightly... Impersonal. When visiting his brother for the first time post-canon, he had given Mithrun two boxes full of his personal affects from before he joined the Canaries. Books, jewellery, photo frames, and so on. Those boxes were brought back to Melini, but they're just sitting there gathering dust.

That said, one photo that does hang on his wall — a moving-in surprise, courtesy of those who helped him decorate — is a framed picture of their squad, the official photo they all took together when initially assigned. They all look morose or pissed-off, for the most part, but they're together. Despite their circumstances (and clashing personalities), they did spend a lot of time together and a strange kinship appeared to have formed. He does look at that photo sometimes.
