I think I figured out why Weiss is a little mean to Penny in Arrowfell. Remember the scene in the episode “Sparks”, where Penny wakes Team RWBY up by yelling her famous line, and then we see later in the following montage how she’s talking to Ruby in their dorm while the rest of the team is barely awake. These two scenes seem to imply that Penny became Team RWBY’s alarm clock while they worked at Atlas. I adore Penny, but if I was woken up early every morning by someone yelling in my ear, I’d be a little bitchy to them, too.

Especially Ruby was signing up for about every mission that was available to her and somehow fit into her schedule and it wasn’t until Weiss had stopped her this morning, fearing that her partner might burn herself out sooner rather than later, that the younger Huntress agreed to taking a break and staying in with her tonight.

Blake, having probably picked up on how Weiss had hoped the two of them could maybe spend at least some time alone, had flashed a soft smile at her when she heard them talking at a little bit of a distance. Only to then quickly drag her own partner to the mission board for the two of them to sign up for an over-night mission.

RWBY V7 Redesigns - Concept Art and In-Show Models

I'm not happy with Blake's in show model - the angle she's standing at makes it impossible to see the white on her arms or back that break up all the black, or much of the purple on her coattails. Other than that, however, I'm mostly proud of how this came out. Editing screenshots of the show is so much harder than editing concept art, but it's all turned out reasonably clean.

I hope you enjoy my recoloring of Team RWBY, and here's hoping that there's more color to their next wardrobe change.

no, but it's just ... very simple, how Whitley has developed. All it took was Jacques getting out of his life for him to to make a good decision that helped one person. All it took was one positive affirmation from Weiss for him to continue making good decisions that helped an entire city.

its really a prime example of how the environments you're in can shape you, and sometimes fuck you up, and how so many people, when removed from those toxic pressures of life, will inherently seek ways to Do Better. sometimes, it's really as heartbreaking as that, and also surprisingly that simple.

Been a few years since I made this and I wanna update with some changes and thoughts:

-Staying on the AroAce Ruby train, but if I see her with anyone it would be Penny, who I also headcanon as AroAce. I think they would be QPPs.

- Weiss is not straight, idk what she is exactly but it's not straight. When Kerry said she was attracted to maturity, I had to go back and look at her interactions with others and idk how I didnt realize girl definitely had some sort of crush on pyhrra, maybe even coco too based on the book.

- Demi Blake still stands cuz you can be both demi and bi

- Sticking with pan Yang, but she just realized it later after recognizing her feelings for Blake.

FNKI

- The KI (Kobalt and Ivory) are that damn dress, you know the one. Fits with with the meme team and I'm not disappointed in the choice.

Volume 7 stuff

- I'm pleasantly surprised that I was right about some of the stuff more or less, even if some didnt exactly happen in volume 7 but volume 8 instead.

- I'm glad I was wrong about Penny, I like what we got in canon cuz it was sweet to see her so excited to see everyone again.

- Got a little bit of faunus discrimination but no real focus on it

- While it makes sense that she didnt, I wish neo could've betrayed Cinder. If only just to spite her, buuut I can settle for Watt's roasting cuz she definitely had that coming too.

- Still wish we could've gotten Neo signing or "signing", maybe in the future cuz I do believe she'll come back.

- One day we'll get strq lore....One day.

- Wish someone would have punched Jacques, even if Weiss arresting him was perfect.

- I'm glad I was wrong about Whitley. He ended up being a good kid at heart, just really needed interaction from anyone but Jacque-ass. I feel like interacting with Oscar would be good for him, give him a friend his age.

- I'm actually just now realizing that Blake couldn't have called her parents anyway cuz global communications were down.

- Sadly no post-nightmare comfort on screen bit fortunately that's what fanfiction is for!

Team RWBY

-Ruby is ace/aro, I literally cannot imagine her have that sort of interest in someone. Ngl I love whiterose fandom-wise but I can’t imagine it happening in canon

-‎when ruby was first learning to control her semblance she constantly smacked into walls

-‎blake OWNS at tag and hide-and-seek

-‎ruby also owns at tag but when it comes down to her and blake it either goes forever or is called a draw

- ‎if anyone asks, raven was totally not the one that started a food fight

- ‎tai got zwei so yang and ruby wouldnt feel lonely after summer died (actually idk cuz that would meam zwei is old af but this is a cute thought anyway)

I Am Once Thinking About the Schneebling hugs, and I noticed something that's making me super emo right now about the Weiss/Winter hug in v7

Here we have the sisters hugging in the centre of the shot, and on Weiss's side, you have RBY, JNR and Oscar. All the friends she's made, that she considers her family, since leaving home. And on Winter's side, you have Penny. Not Ironwood and Penny. Only Penny. And that's when it hit me that Penny is the only genuine friend Winter has made since leaving home for the military.

Penny is Winter's only friend.

I just... thinking about how hurt she was about Penny leaving, how her eyes linger on one of Penny's swords that Watts holds, representing her mind lingering on Penny, distracted even as Ironwood's giving out his orders to her, jumping to interrupt the Ace Ops right when she hears them referring to Penny as "a piece of junk" and I'm like

Ranking the Rwby Icequeendom outifts

Back at it again with an outfit ranking. I have yet to finish the previous series I did with the Danganronpa swimsuits but I think I've come to the same conclusion as the rest. So here are my takes on the new outfits for team RWBY and Team JNPR. This is just my opinion. This isn't meant to be RWDE or a hate piece of any kind. These are just my thoughts.

I like how modern Ruby's outfit is. I think it's the first time we've seen her in something that isn't a skirt. I'm not a fan of how long the white undershirt is, but overall I think it's a good design.

Her coat and dress is really busy with all of this black detail and the stupid amount of belts. I love the idea but way too busy.

My least favorite of the main four. Her bow is half bow, half ear. We're back with a weirdly placed zipper and belts. Why the tail? Why the clawed mittens? Are those mittens? What is going on?

Wish the brown is more...warmer? Less bland. Also if they are once again going to a colder climate, I wish the outfit itself would be a bit warmer. But overall, I love Yang's look. Really leans into a biker aesthetic.

I really LOVE Nora's outfit. I love that they used the blue from her concept art bow and while it doesn't look like much has changed, it actually looks good for the climate. She looks prepared for winter!

5/10 (I'm sure people will hate me for this one)

I like seeing Pyrrha in fancy clothes, but this is just a lazy recolor of Weiss' volume 4 dress. Nothing really creative about it but it gets points because we finally get to see her with her hair down.

Again, like Nora's, it is bland and not really anything special but he gets points for fitting the climate and it's much more cohesive than his volume 7 outfit.

Those are my takes. They might be shit, but that's how I feel. I'm hopeful since the director of Madoka Magica is working on it and I think Madoka is a big hit, but we'll see.
