so i haven't watched RWBY but i'm such a sucker for bumbleby (bumblby? bmblb?). they're such soulmates. and while it's obvious from their freaking eye colors matching the other's aura, i think they balance each other out and work so well together. and they're always so considerate of the other.

i love the black cat/golden retriever and introvert/extrovert dynamic, but i don't think that in itself is what makes them so great. it's not as simple as "opposites attract" because they have so much history and they invested so much in each other. they're already soulmates but they also chose each other.

and confident, cocky yang getting flustered by a shy, reserved blake? yeah it's perfect. i love it so much.

Comparing Cinder Fall to a Dragon

She is as much a dragon as Jaune is a knight. Both on the surface seem to embody the idea of what they are but under it all is nothing more than a farce.

Each of them desperately vying for approval as proof of their abilities. Both of them falling short in so many ways, in many of the same ways. Cinder the dragon hordes nothing but power, no gold, no person, and covets what she does not have.

Jaune a knight who can't protect those he wants to, save those he wants to. Barely even given a chance to prove what he can do. Force to make impossible decisions. Cursed and thrown in purgatory as punishment for his envy of others and what they can do.

He too covets power, maybe for a different reason but he still craves to have power that does not belong to him. The Ever After arc showed just how he really feels about Ruby and the others.

They are all skilled, talented, strong, and fierce. He saw them with their abilities only grow as the story went on. He felt left behind, weak, useless. He wished to have the same power that the others had. Yes he worked hard for what he was able to do but the feeling never went away.

He craved to be stronger than even Ruby, even Cinder in order to be at peace in his role. He was given the chance in the Ever After and even as he tried to once again embody the farce of being a Knight he knew better. It did nothing to stop his craving for the power to keep others safe.

Albeit altruistic he still envied Ruby, the girl who was a prodigy in combat with the silver eyes and a spoken destiny. He came to resent it. Bitterness he hid and kept under control so very well. Till the Ever After.

Cinder fell after being beaten by Raven, she licked her wounds and refused to die. She is a dragon and as such can only be felled by a knight. Not even another dragon or anyone else. She craves the power to be safe, to be untouchable.

Through this logic she craves Jaune, a man who thirsts for the power to protect. If it does come to it, she could help Jaune become powerful and through that she will have the power to stay safe. He would become that thing she craved for so long. Jaune would have the proof that he could protect anyone.

If he could make a dragon feel safe and secure then surely nothing would be able to best him.

Just some thoughts about Jaune and Cinder.

You know what? I'm gonna say something that'll probably sound controversial but it's something I honestly Believe.

Black Sun would've been greater pandering than Bumbleby.

This isn't to say that Black sun is bad, I think Black Sun it makes sense and is a good ship, and I fucking love it, but I ship weird shit anyways.

I'm also not going to repeat how and why the Bees make sense, people more eloquent and patient than I have, and I don't want to waste my time mimicking them.

I will, however, say this.

Blake shared a Room with Yang for the entire time they were at Beacon, so about a semester, ~15 weeks, or 3-4 months before Blake met Sun.

Even assuming Blake spent every hour she could with Sun outside of school, she'd spend a majority of her time with her team, including Yang.

This would give her at least equal time between these blonds.

Then the fall happens, and she spends, let's say, three or four months with Sun in Menagerie and on the ship, before meeting back up with her team, thus giving Sun and Yang ample and equal time together.

Blake then spends time with her team, and Yang, going from Mistral to Atlas, and all the time then spend in Atlas.

So for CRWBY to have made Black Sun canon would've severely changed Canon, I believe for, the worse, even if the Bees didn't happen, because that would mean either we'd need to bring SSSN onto the main group, or Sun would have needed to not grow as a character from being with Blake for those months, or the relationship would've been a mute point because Sun returns to his team at the start of volume six.

This is not Anti-Black sun. I am a dirty, filthy multishipper, capable of seeing the aspects of nearly every ship on this fandom.

But I do think Canon RWBY would've been worse off with Black Sun.

My Thoughts On: The Blake X Blond Ships

You know, with the three major Blake x Blond ships (The Bees, Blacksun, and Knightshade) I've seen people, once or twice, say that one or more of those ships is just a cheap copy of the other.

And I won't get more specific than that.

So I wanted to share a quick thought on how I think they are different.

BlackSun: With this ship, Sun has a tendency to run off and do things without really thinking them through with Blake following along to make sure he doesn't get into too much trouble. Which to be fair, Blake does the same thing, just less often. Which usually tends to result in them getting into situations that they probably never would've regularly.

So to summarize, they both get each other to do things that they probably never would have normally, but they usually end up enjoying themselves at least a little bit. And they both have each other's back when they do something really dumb.

Bumblebee: With Yang, if she wants to do something, she'll poke and prod at Blake a little bit to get her to do it too. Nothing too bad, maybe a little light teasing, but nothing too pushy. To which Blake will begrudgingly to do Yang's thing and usually enjoy herself while doing it. Though she might not always admit it.

Of course, Yang will do much the same for Blake. Even if she isn't the biggest fan of silent reading time.

Knightshade: Jaune isn't exactly the most confident guy out there, at least until the most recent volumes, and really he doesn't even have a good grasp on what confidence is during the Beacon era. So I think there would be a lot of things that Jaune would want to do, but he's not really sure of himself, so he ultimately backs out of doing a lot of stuff.

But Blake does see that, and I'd believe she'd want him to do the things he interested in doing. So she'd encourage him and offer to do whatever Jaune wanted to do with him. And of course, Jaune is happy to do stuff Blake wants to do, even if he doesn't really like what she's doing. Because they both enjoy just being with each other.

So they all sort of get Blake out of her box, they just have very different ways of doing so.

And these are just my quick thoughts, if you have questions do feel free to ask.

Okay, I'm preaching my Summer x Tai agenda once again. Folks want to gush over Rosebird (while also ignoring how Summer was more of a mom to Yang than Raven ever was), but they're ignoring all the juicy drama and layers of Tai x Summer.

Just picture it. Raven left with Tai heartbroken with him struggling to raise Yang before Summer swoops in in. She basically moves into the house without even asking Tai, heals his broken heart, and helps with Yang. Between Tai recovering from his heartbreak and him bonding with Summer as they raise Yang, sparks begin to fly along with old feelings returning. I always imagined that Summer had feelings for Tai but put them to bed when he and Raven got together with her burying those feelings. But through the process of raising Yang, those feelings return.

A kiss would happen, Summer would apologize for the kiss, but Tai says there's no need to be sorry cause he feels the same. One year later and boom! Ruby is born.
