SPOILERS IN THIS POST
I was looking for S2 updates (no official release date yet) and the article went in to talk about the cast and who may come back. The first mentioned was ofc Al Pacino and the writer stated that the only way he'd come back is via flashbacks.
So they watched the show, but did they watch the show!?
Look at what they did with Ruth, Booty, and Murray. They all came back as voices in Jonah's head. They came back as hallucinations, paranoia, a representation of his PTSD.
I firmly believe that they will do the same with Meyer.
Al Pacino will come back as the voice in Jonah's head sinking him further into the darkness. He will become the devil on Jonah's shoulders while Ruth is the angel. He will become such a strong force that maybe eventually Ruth's ghost will fade throughout the season.
I've thought about this a lot, and obviously this is just a theory and I'm not the only one with them. I just don't think the writers would only do a flashback with Meyer when they could do so much more.

@swingsnap sent ❝ i think the whole idea of ‘finding yourself’ is kind of bullshit. we are what we chose to be. we make ourselves. ❞
maybe jonah’s a little too stoned for this conversation because he’s too preoccupied with the green of gwen’s eyes and he’s starting to think that the only himself he wants to find is the one reflected in her gaze. slowly , he sways his head , trying to fully wrap his mind around what exactly she’s saying. the truth is , he doesn’t know himself , not really. sometimes he feels like he’s a mere acquaintance with himself , listing off facts or patterns or impulses. so what does he choose to be ?
“ have you been talking to my safta ? ” he teases with a grin. but then he remembers and the smile all too quickly fades. huffing out a sigh , jonah looks up to the light polluted sky. “ and what if we make ourselves wrong ? then there’s no one else to blame but us. ”

ok im about to stop talking about Hunters but im so angry bc jonah’s storyline was really so good.... him being more connected to his jewishness and wanting to continue the fight for his people and all that have suffered before him.... like his whole arc was Great but its also garbage because... him firmly joining the Hunt and seeing the light was actually framed as him getting closer to the darkness and that just makes me so fucking MAD... jonah you did amazing sweetie im so sorry you’re on a bad show that acts like uwu killing nazis actually makes you as bad as them!
#hunters#hunters amazon#jonah heidelbaum#when he said that the hunt isnt yours it doesnt belong to you it belongs to the 11 million who cry out from their graves for justice#it belongs to ruth it belongs to meyer it belongs to me#like bitch.... that was so good. this show had so many great moments and so much potential but my god it was a fucking mess

Part 10 - I Don't See Her Anymore
Series: Weak Spot | Hunters
Word count: 2266
Warnings: Language
Last | Next
As we start closing in on those who are pulling the strings, we set our sights on a man called Von Braun. After speaking to Simon, who berates what we are doing and tells us we need to stop hunting for the sake of their own heritage. I had to admit that he was right and I was starting to get tired of how Meyer wanted things to be done. For some reason I'm starting to lose my trust in him. While we were in Northern California, Jonah begins questioning what we're doing too. It's here Meyer admits to killing 11 men the night in the camp, in a bid to save Ruth, and admitting he hasn't been the same since.
As we descend on Von Braun and question him over his morality and the Fourth Reich. I almost didn't know who I was looking at when Jonah started to yell at him. When he fails to talk, Meyer gets Joe to bring out the electrical cables to get him to talk which makes me freeze in place. "Hold it, Joe. Let the boy do it." Meyer says making me go cold and picture myself as Jonah. "It's for the light." I hear Meyer tell Jonah and I wanted to scream no but I couldn't move. Jonah takes the cables from Joe and Joe holds his arm out keeping me behind him. They go back and forth yelling till he tells us what he knows. "Where are they fucking releasing it?!" Jonah yells at him. "Everywhere. It's in everything." He goes to tell us it will be a food substitute. "Glucopyranose monohydrate. Corn Syrup." He says then begins to laugh. As soon as I hear the sound of the electrical buzzing it was followed by a scream. "Like that? You like that?" Jonah says shocking him. "What are you doing?" Joe asks him as I finally step back. "He's lying. Tell us!" He shocks him again making my vision fill with tears.
"Leah, go to the car. Go." Joe turns to me turning me around and I make my way outside still hearing the guy scream. When I get to the car I break down into tears talking out loud. "That not my Jonah. Meyer is changing him. He's going down the wrong path." I run my hands through my hair. When Jonah gets to the car I walk right up to him slapping him across that face, "You fucking lied to me! You broke your promise!" I scream at him. "Leah." I cut him off, "Don't you Leah me, Jonah Heidelbaum. I asked you when you first joined the hunt not to go down the wrong path. What you just did in there to him... You're losing yourself! He told you the fucking truth and you tortured him. Never would I think you would go that low like I did in the past. JUST to prove to Meyer! He's changing you can't you see that? You no longer remind me of Ruth anymore. That part of you is completely gone now. Simon was right about you desecrating her. You aren't fucking honoring shit about her." I go off on him.
"Sorry, I want to prove to my grandfather Leah." He says making me laugh. "The guy who left your grandmother to raise their child alone then raised you after she passed." He steps towards me. "No, no. I'm not forgiving for what you just did in there. You know how I feel about stuff like that because how it made me feel. And I never told you but that's what he made me do to that INNOCENT FUCKING FAMILY! I DID THE SAME THING YOU JUST DID IN THERE! Remember our conversation about losing each other. Well, I just lose you in there." I cry as he wraps his arms around me. "Why didn't you tell me? But Leah... You didn't lose me though. I'm right here." He kiss me but I get out of his arms as the other two come back. "Because I hate talking about it. But... Part of you, I did." I say getting in the car. Somewhere along the ride Jonah moved over to me wrapping his arms around me. "Ata kol kakh khashuv li." I look up at him with my head on his shoulder. "You mean so much to me too." I whisper to him. "I-I-I l-love you and I'm sorry." He looks into my eyes being quiet so the two can't hear us. "Ani ohev otkha." I whisper cuddling into his side.
"You know, the first time I met the kid, I thought he was just like her. He reminded me so much of Ruth. Her mannerisms, her fiery temper. Her righteousness." I hear Joe say as I wake up and they were getting gas. "And now?" Meyer asks him. "Now I don't see her at all. All I see is you." Joe says and I see Jonah open his eyes looking at Meyer outside the kiss the top of my head holding me in his arms. "I want up." I tell him and we both sit up. "Do you really mean it?" I ask as he lays his head on my lap. "About the last thing I said to you? Then yes to both." He plays with the ends of my hair. "What you two talking about?" Meyer asks not looking back at us. "Nothing really important. Just a conversation we had earlier today." Jonah tells him while he sits up.
When we got back to Meyer's, Jonah came into my room late at night because he heard me crying. "What's wrong?" He holds my in his arms. "I keep seeing the bomb go off and Murray dying. And.. then I see what you did to Braun and then slowly lose your light more and more. Then it takes me back to when I did the same thing losing some of my light." I cry wrapping my arms around him. "I'm not going to change anymore, Leah. I promise." I shake my head, "Don't promise something you can't keep." I say making him stare at me. "I can keep that promise because I'm not going anywhere. And I still have the light in me like you." I slight chuckle at his words, "I lost most of my light already Jonah. My parents are gone, my Safta is gone, Ruth is gone, Murray is gone, Mindy is broken, and I tortured a innocent family. And Jonah, you're the last part of the light in me. The part of you that is normal Jonah, not who Meyer wants you to be. The moment that happens, I will no longer have my light." I stop crying looking into his eyes. "I'm not going to let that happen. Like I told you, you mean so much to me and I love you. And I mean it Leah." He gives me a sweet gentle kiss that I return.
~
"I know what Von Braun said, but I can't find this Colonel fuck anywhere." Jonah says walking around the table. "At least not according to anything in the Ark. Maybe the files were burned in the fire." Joe says looking a papers. "What have you found on Helen Hirsch, that-that survivor who was killed at Simpson's barbecue?" Roxy asks Jonah. "Well in her obituary, it says that she's from Arlav. We found four Nazi officers that are from there, but none of them with aliases leading to Biff Simpson." I say and Jonah adds in, "But my Safta and Leah found their immigration records. And all of them are signed by the same guy: Carmel Offie." Millie looks at us, "Offie?"
Later me, Jonah, and Meyer go to see Mindy because we need her help. "Mindy? Mindy darling? Ah, My Mindala." Meyer calls out to her taking a seat next to her. "Let me just take it. Like that." He takes the gun from her hands putting it on the table. He gives Jonah a look and Jonah takes me by my hand making me follow him. "I need to go get something out of my bag." I say leaving him going to my stuff. "How are you doing dear?" Mindy walks in ready to go. "I'm not going to lie and say great but I'm passable." I give her a sweet smile. "Where is all the light in you? You aren't glowing like normal." She walks over to me. "Yeah, the light in me is slowing going out because of something Jonah did." I sigh making her grab my hand, "You need to keep both of your lights lit. You two are too young for it to be taken from you." I give her a hug as Jonah walks in, "You two ready to go?" We look at him. "Aww, yes, dear Jonah." Mindy smiles leaving the room. "I was heard the last part of your conversation." He says as I grab my bag. "And?" I say leaving the room with him. "We are all we have left of each other's light so we have to protect that." I give him a smile.
Back at Meyer's Harriet and Lonny come in, "Never underestimate the power of a blowtorch, friends." She says making me slightly giggle. "Nazi Ken upstairs said our German friends are sending out their little pathogen-filled treats around 8:00pm tonight. Nationwide." Lonny fills us in. We then discuss how will we break in and infiltrate the operation of getting rid of it all. "Perhaps an actor." I say looking at Lonny at the other end of the table making everyone look. "Oh, fuck." He sighs realizing that's him. "Literally fuck you, Leah." He says as we all figure out the rest of our roles for our plan. "Yes, and I'll get to tell everyone I slept with The Lonny Flash! I'd be so honored." I joke playful making him hit me. "Haha, funny. People who get a piece of me are lucky." He rolls his eyes making me grab onto his arm, "Oh, Lonny Flash!" I shout tugging at his arm. "LEAH!" He whines as I hold onto him.
"Jonah, come get you girl off me. Because once they get a piece of me, they never leave." Lonny says making me fake vomit. "In that case I'll take her from you." Jonah walks over pulling me off of Lonny. "Wow Lonny, they're back in their honeymoon phase." Joe says getting weapons ready. "Oh yeah, when are the kids coming?" He jokes making me glare at him, "They are children themselves. We don't need smaller children running around." Harriet says walking past us to go to the attic. "I think you guys are making them uncomfortable. They aren't even together." Roxy tells them. "You wait for the day they kiss." Lonny says leaving the room and Jonah smirks at me, "WE HAVE ALREADY!" He shouts so Lonny hears him and everyone in the room stared at us with open mouths.
"WAIT, WHAT!" Lonny runs back into the room making me laugh at him since he fell. "When?" He jumps up. "When you said I wasn't the wheelman." Lonny and Joe look at each other, "That explains why you two were quiet when we came back." Joe nods his head. "Have you kissed more after that?" Lonny rushes up to us. "Umm, about four more times after that one." Jonah says thinking back. "Oh no! I'm taking Leah away from you. I was joking when I talked about kids. That happens when couples kiss more than ten times." Lonny picks me up running out of the room with me. "We aren't a couple." I tell Lonny as he keeps going. "That's even worse when you have a child on accident."
~
"Leah, you will be riding with me and Roxy in the back. Jonah you're in the front with Joe." Meyer says as Roxy and Joe walk the guy out without his work clothes on. "Okay." We both say following behind him. "Why did you tell everyone we kissed?" I ask as we interlock our fingers walking. "Well I mean, they like us together so why not just let them know. Whatever we are." He says looking down at me as we walk up the stairs. "What are we anyways?" I smile up at him. "Well I-" He leans down closer but was cut off when we hear Carol's voice. "Jonah!" We look towards the street shocked to see her and Cheeks. "Come on, we gotta get going." I let go of his hand getting in the back of the van.

Hunters Season 2 Confirmed by Amazon
https://ift.tt/eA8V8J
Hunters Season 2 is set to continue the titular team’s Nazi-wasting ways.
Amazon Studios officially made the order for a second season of the campy, alt-universe, ultraviolent crime thriller series, Hunters, stopping short of setting any production or Amazon Prime Video release windows, obviously due to the intrinsic uncertainty of the COVID era. However, the second season renewal announcement was posted with an accompanying teaser trailer bearing the era-appropriate imagery of a Season 2 logo-brandishing spinning vinyl record before building to the opening bass line of a show-familiar tune in Talking Heads’ “Psycho Killer.”
*record scratch* *freeze frame* You heard it here first. #HuntersTV will be back for Season 2. pic.twitter.com/qGMrES4BKW
— Hunters (@huntersonprime) August 3, 2020
The series was created and written by David Weil, who was inspired by his own grandmother’s harrowing stories as a Holocaust survivor. Weil was also co-showrunner for Season 1 alongside executive producer Nikki Toscano. Yet, the creative team is boosted by the prominent presence of Jordan Peele, who serves as an executive producer on the series, bringing genre gravitas from directorial efforts Get Out and Us, and as creator/writer of CBS All Access’s The Twilight Zone reboot series, for which Weil actually supplied the story concept of the recently-dropped Season 2 episode, “Ovation.” As Weil lauds of the renewal in a statement, showing gratitude to Amazon and Studio Head Jennifer Salke:
“I am beyond grateful to Jen and the Amazon family for their continued extraordinary support of Hunters. Alongside our magnificent cast, incredible crew, and brilliant writers and producers, I am more eager than ever to share the next chapter of the Hunters saga with the world.”
Hunters, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video back on February 21, was heralded with the headlining presence of the legendary Al Pacino. Yet, its main draw has been a retro-exploitation sensibility with the occasional interjection of hard drama, complementing a wild premise focused on a diverse group of New Yorkers in 1977 violently making prey of hidden-in-plain-sight Third Reich alumni in the United States. The series centers on young protagonist Jonah Heidelbaum (Logan Lerman), who, upon the death of his beloved Aunt Ruth (Jeannie Berlin), learns of his own familial legacy tied to the Hunters, encouraged by its leader, Meyer Offerman (Pacino). The cast also consists of Josh Radnor, Kate Mulvany, Carol Kane, Saul Rubinek, Tiffany Boone, Greg Austin, Louis Ozawa, Lena Olin and Dylan Baker.
As Amazon’s Salke chimes in on the renewal:
“With Hunters, David Weil’s bold vision and fearless imagination powered a thrilling, twisty, action-packed first season that engaged Prime Video customers around the world. We are thrilled that David, Jordan and the Hunters will be back with us for more.”
However, viewers were left with key questions pertaining to the “more” that Amazon and the show’s creative coalition will eventually conjure. That’s because February’s inaugural season concluded with a colossal plot twist (which you can read about right here if you don’t mind spoilers,) that not only provided an appropriate season-ending cliffhanger, but essentially redefined the context of everything that occurred throughout the entire series in multiple ways. Thus, it will be interesting to see how a prospectively game-changed Hunters Season 2 ultimately manifests.
Hunters Season 2 Release Date
Hunters Season 2 doesn’t have a release date planned for Amazon Prime Video just yet. Moreover, given the fact that most U.S. productions are still COVID-locked as of this August writing, it seems very unlikely that the second season will arrive by any point in 2021. Thus, viewers should probably set their expectations for sometime in 2022.

Shabbat Dinner
Pairing: Jonah Heidelbaum x Reader
Premise: Jonah, Y/N, and their daughter Mina go to Ruth's home for Shabbat dinner.
Masterlist
requested by: three different anon asks XD
word count: 612
A/N: Still feeling ill, but I managed to pull something together. The next fic will either come Thursday or Friday, it depends how I'm feeling tomorrow. Hope you enjoy this one and sorry it's so short :)
The smell of falafel greeted the guests as soon as they entered Jonah's childhood home. The five-year-old was excited to see her Safta Raba again, eagerly gripping a picture she drew during kindergarten earlier that day. The picture consisted of stick figures of her, Jonah, Y/N, and Ruth together as a happy family. It had put a smile on her parent's face, and they told her that her Great-Grandmother would love that as a gift.
"It's beautiful, sheifale," Ruth knelt down to hug her great-granddaughter. They all followed Ruth to the kitchen, who placed the drawing on the fridge under baby photos of Jonah and Mina.
As Y/N put a bouquet of flowers into a vase, Jonah handed his Safta a potato kugel he made for the dinner. "Safta, would you like any help?"
"It's alright, bubbeleh," Ruth waved off Y/N's offer. "Just sit and relax. We'll light the Shabbat candles soon."
Jonah took it upon himself to help Ruth despite the old lady's protests and took over the falafel. The adults listened as Mina told Safta Raba about her week at kindergarten, as the kid coloured in a notebook her parents brought. "And then Tali and I put on a puppet show for our classmates! We managed to get Evan to be Haman."
"Did your friends enjoy it?" Ruth asked, giving the kid her undivided attention. Mina nodded happily and continued talking.
As soon as the sun began to set, the family gathered around the Shabbat candles. Jonah held Mina in his arms so she could properly see everything at their eye level, and she immediately moved to cuddle her Aba. Y/N lit the Shabbat candles as per Ruth's request, and they recited the brachah for the candles, wine, and bread.
Once they sat down for dinner, Jonah put food on Mina's plate and cut it up for her before serving himself, and they dug in. Mina was mostly quiet through dinner, scarfing down the food. This allowed the adults to converse, and Ruth was telling them both more gossip in the Jewish community, heard from Mindy Markowitz. "Mrs. Schlosstein has been spreading rumours again. Something about Y/N and a second child on the way. Is that true, dear?"
"Actually," Y/N's hand instinctively rested on her stomach. "It is."
"We were hoping to tell you ourselves," Jonah laughed, taking his wife's hand.
"How far along?" Ruth's eyes were shining. She had been nagging the couple for four years to have a second child, and it was finally happening.
"Three weeks," Y/N answered. "We found out last Sunday."
"I'm going to be a big sister!" Mina said between bites.
"And you'll be the best big sister ever," Jonah commented, wiping the kid's face.
Ruth couldn't get over her excitement for her second great-grandchild and was taking extra care of Y/N for the rest of the evening. By the time it was eight pm, the family had migrated to the living room and Mina had fallen asleep while cuddling her dad on the couch. "We should take the munchkin home."
"Call if you need anything." Ruth saw them to the door and gave both of them a hug. After handing Y/N leftovers, she gave Mina a light kiss on the cheek and sent them on their way.
As Jonah strapped his daughter into her car seat, he couldn't help but think about how lucky he was. After retiring from Nazi-hunting, the Jew didn't think he would ever be able to have a family. Looking at his daughter and knowing his wife had conceived once again, he felt grateful for the life that he had.

Meeting Safta
Pairing: Jonah x Reader
Premise: Y/N meets Ruth for the first time.
Masterlist
requested by: anon
word count: 872
A/N: Happy New Year!! May 2021 bring positive vibes to all of you :) It's like,,, 4:30AM in my timezone and I got tickets to the Ratatousical event that Broadway is streaming at 5PM MST so I gotta get some sleep XD Hope you enjoy this fic :)
Y/N felt nervous as Jonah opened the door to his home. They had been over before, but never when his Safta was around. Today they were finally meeting the woman that raised their wonderful boyfriend, and nothing was more terrifying than wanting approval from a grandparent.
"Safta, I'm home!" he shouted when they entered the foyer.
"Is Y/N with you?" she responded from the kitchen.
"Yeah, they are," Jonah kissed their cheek, and put his arm around their waist. He lowered his voice to reassure them, noting the nervous expression. "She's going to love you."
"I hope so," they said. The teens entered the kitchen, and Y/N gave Ruth a kind smile as the old woman stood up and turned to the couple. "It's nice to finally meet you, Mrs. Heidelbaum."
"Please, call me Safta," she greeted the teen warmly, enveloping them in a hug. "Jonah has told me so much about you."
"He's told me lots about you, as well," Y/N smiled.
"Please sit, sit," she ushered them to the small dining table. "What would you like to drink?"
"Water's fine, thanks," they laughed. When Ruth gave her the glass, she also set down a serving plate filled with kosher appetizers. She kept fussing around in the kitchen, asking Y/N a bunch of questions and brushing off Jonah when he offered to help her out.
"I'm fine, Kindelah," she waved her hand dismissively. Jonah gave Y/N a 'see what I have to deal with' look, causing them to stifle back a laugh. The boy stood up and helped, anyway, setting the table and sneaking a taste of the lamb Ruth was slicing. The grandma slapped his hand away as he tried to grab another piece. "I could've accidentally sliced your hand. Be careful!"
"Safta, I'm fine," he sighed, sitting back down in his seat. They dug in once the food was set in the middle of the table, replace the nearly finished appetizers, and the conversation didn’t hit a dead end. Ruth was easy to be around, and Y/N felt more relaxed now that they were in her presence.
After the first helping, Ruth gestured to the serving plate in front of Y/N. "You should eat more. I made plenty of food."
Knowing better than to argue with an ethnic grandmother, they took another serving. Ruth urged them to fill their plate, but Y/N knew better than to take more food than they could eat. Jonah, however, happily took a ton more food. Sometimes it seemed like that boy had a hollow leg.
By the end of dinner, Y/N and Jonah dealt with the dishes and Ruth put the kettle on. They moved to the living room, and Y/N curled up on the couch in Jonah's arms. "Y/N, what tea do you like?"
"I'm happy with anything!" They responded to Ruth.
"Thanks for tonight," Jonah spoke to his partner, quietly. "It means a lot."
"Hey, you had to put up with my crazy family," Y/N smiled. "Your Safta's sweet. I like her a lot."
"Glad to hear," he kissed them. Safta came into the living room, carrying a tray with a matching tea set and placed it on the coffee table. Jonah poured the tea and handed the delicate china to Y/N.
"Safta, do you have any baby pictures of Jonah?" Y/N asked, smiling evilly at their boyfriend. "I really want to see how cute he was."
Ruth pulled a photo album off their bookshelf and sat down next to Y/N to show them. "Seriously?"
"Hey, you had to see mine," Y/N teased. "It's about time I see photos of baby Jonah."
Jonah rolled his eyes but smiled at his partner. He was grateful they were enjoying the evening, and that his Safta was getting along with Y/N nicely. "Jonah you were so cute!"
"I was quite a chubby baby," he admitted, looking over their shoulder to see photos he hadn't looked at in years.
"Your eyes have always been the same striking blue," they commented, looking at him rather than the photo album.
"What can I say? I've always been cute."
"Also very stubborn," Safta commented, pointing to a certain photo. It was a photo of him as a toddler, glaring at a spilled bowl of vegetables from his high chair. "Jonah was such a picky eater. Refused to eat his vegetables."
Y/N laughed and teased Jonah about how he seems to still be a picky eater, and the teen jumped to his defence. They went through the album until Y/N realized how late it was. Ruth refused to let Y/N take the subway, and called a taxi as they got their things together. After wishing Ruth goodnight, and promising to come back and visit with her soon, they stood on the porch with Jonah waiting for the vehicle. "I had fun tonight."
"I did, too," he said, wrapping his arms around their waist. "It was better than expected."
"Let's do it again, soon," they suggested, quickly kissing Jonah as the taxi pulled up. He nodded and kissed them back.
"I love you, Y/N."
"I love you, too."

I don’t know if this is a popular opinion or not but the hunters being total softies is amazing and we need to see more of it.
Case in point: Mindy, Jonah, Ruth, Murray, Joe, Lonny, Roxy, Meyer
Do I need to continue lol
You do not need to continue and I absolutely agree!
I love seeing the dark sides of characters as much as anyone, but in a show with such heavy themes it’s nice to see the softer sides of the characters.
I don’t think we’ll see much of a soft side of Jonah in S2 because his character arc is centred around being engulfed in the darkness whilst thinking it’s the light.
With everyone else? I have a feeling we’ll be seeing their softer sides in S2 more than we did in S1

Ruth Heidelbaum's Chicken Soup
I'm a major foodie, and as much as I love eating I also really love cooking and baking.
The shots of Ruth's chicken noodle are not only gorgeous, but the soup looks delicious. In an attempt to not write down the recipe and figure it out myself I google searched it to try and see if anyone caught the screencap in episode ten and typed it out.
Low and behold, I found a reddit thread for it. Wanted to share it with y'all in case you were also interested/curious!
Here it is

A Special Night
Pairing: Jonah Heidelbaum x Reader
Premise: Jonah and Y/N get married.
Masterlist
requested by: anon
word count: 545
A/N: I ended up tying the Lonny wedding fic into this one and therefore fucked up the timeline but I'm too lazy to fix it lol. Hope you enjoy this one :)
Jonah would never have imagined affording such a lavish event, even when he began dating Y/N. Growing up with little financial security, he learned at a young age to be happy with what he already had. A huge fancy wedding was never in the cards for him, and he was okay with that. However, as he and Y/N planned their wedding, Meyer insisted on paying for the expenses to "give the kids what they deserve."
Now he and his bride stood under a chuppah, with Rabbi Grossman leading the ceremony. Both parties were disbelieving and joyous that they were finally getting married. Five years ago, neither of them would've given the prospect of marriage a second thought. With the Fourth Reich out of the way, they were free to build a future together.
The ceremony lasted half an hour, Jonah and Y/N agreeing to follow some traditions but not make it super religious. It reflected their shared faith, just like Lonny had with his spouse a year and a half prior. At first, they were concerned that Ruth and Meyer would both be disapproving of that decision but were met with the utmost support. Ruth understood that her grandson wasn't as devout as she was, and Meyer was the same towards Y/N.
Nevertheless, the wedding was beautiful. All Y/N was focused on was Jonah, and how handsome he looked in his suit. It was rare for Jonah to dress up, and her father had splurged on one that flattered him nicely. On the other hand, she couldn’t wait to get out of her wedding dress and into the reception one that Ruth had sewn for her.
Once the ceremony concluded, the newlyweds were escorted to a seclusion room before the reception. "Can you unzip me?"
"Damn, babe," Jonah joked as Y/N removed her veil. "Already?"
"I'm changing outfits, love," she rolled her eyes, smiling. "This is really who I chose to live with."
"For the rest of our lives," he responded, kissing her cheek. "I love you."
"I love you, too," she laughed, slipping out of the dress and putting the second one on.
Jonah admired the reception dress on Y/N, loving the way it highlighted her figure. The fabric was a dandelion yellow, Jonah's favourite colour, and floral embroidery decorated the waistline like a mock-belt. It had long sleeves, and was floor-length, remaining elegant while showing a bit of Y/N's personality within the design. "Safta did a great job."
"I told her to surprise me when she asked me what I wanted," Y/N said, smiling at her reflection in the mirror. Jonah came up behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist.
"We should go back out there, soon," he sighed. There was nothing he wanted more than to be with Y/N away from all the guests.
"It's only for a few hours," she shrugged. "We’ll have a whole ten days to ourselves starting tomorrow."
"Can't wait." Y/N turned around so she was facing her husband, and tilted her head up slightly to kiss him. Jonah cupped her cheek, savouring the feeling. Kissing Y/N felt different in the best way possible. He couldn't imagine sharing this special night with anyone else.

Jonah was finally home for the first time since Meyer's death, grateful to finally get some peace to himself. Unfortunately for the Nazi Hunter, that peace didn’t last long when he heard an aggressive knock at the front door. "What the fuck does Millie want now?"
He stepped away from the Crock-Pot, and open the front door to find a very angry Y/N glaring up at him. "What the hell, Jonah?”
"Wait, what?" Jonah stood at the door, shocked to see his partner at the door. They usually called beforehand to let him know they were coming over. "Y/N, what are you doing here?"
"Fucking Nazis, Jonah?" they whisper-shouted. That prompted the boy to step aside and let Y/N in the house, trying to figure out a way to explain.
The first thing that Y/N noticed was the smell of Chicken Noodle, calming them down a bit. Ruth had always been good to them, and Y/N considered her soup their go-to comfort food. The old woman was missed, and the sudden wave of sadness fed into the anger they were feeling towards Jonah. "How could you get yourself involved with Nazis? Jonah, that's extremely dangerous-"
"I know."
"You could get hurt!"
"I know."
"Or worse, they could kill you!"
"I know."
"I can't lose you," at those words, they broke down crying. Noticing their knees buckle, Jonah rushed to them as they sank to the floor. He held them as they bawled, thinking about the weight of their words. Y/N felt the same pain Jonah had when they lost Ruth and Arthur. They had imagined Jonah being the next person murdered, especially with clear evidence someone was after him. He knew exactly what they were feeling.
A feeling of guilt bubbled inside Jonah. He had cried himself to sleep a few times at the thought of Y/N's body in a casket. That fear caused him to push them away more than he did with Carol and Cheeks. He understood why they were so angry with him and now felt angry with himself for lying to her. After Booty died… Jonah wouldn't be able to live with himself if anything happened to anyone else he cared about.
After a few minutes passed, the sobs turned into shaky breaths and a section of Jonah's shirt was soaked. "How much did Cheeks tell you?"
"Only…" they trailed off, trying to remember how to properly breathe. Y/N took a deep breath and wiped the tears from their face before continuing. "Only the gist of it."
Relieved, Jonah untangled himself from Y/N and stood up. He held out his hand, and Y/N begrudgingly took it before getting up as well. Jonah led them to the living room and pulled Y/N into his arms once they sat on the couch. He tried to ignore how they tensed at his touch and tried to break the ice with an apology. "I'm sorry, Y/N. I was trying to protect you."
"I can handle myself," they argued, their tone bitter.
"Just let me explain," Jonah said. "Without interruptions. It's hard enough to talk about."
While Y/N didn’t respond verbally, they did physically. Jonah took them relaxing a bit in his arms as an invitation to continue. He took a deep breath and started with Meyer. How the old man waltz right into his life and brought him to The Hunt. How Meyer told Jonah that it was a mitzvah. The Hunt wasn't too pleased with his arrival to the team, arguing that Ruth didn’t want him involved. All of them had gone against the idea of Jonah joining them.
He was both offended and angry at that moment. Harriet calling him a child, Roxy's comment about refusing to start a kindergarten, Joe's general attitude towards the 19-year-old, Mindy and Murray's worry and concern, and Lonny's initial annoyance. All of it bothered him more than it should. Jonah had been underestimated his whole life, and being seen as a burden by a group of strangers hadn't helped at all. He was desperate to prove himself. Had to show them that he was a vital asset to the team. However, once he watched them torture Karl Holstedder, he ran.
He had distanced himself from the Hunt for a day before Booty was killed, and in that moment Jonah knew he had nowhere else to go but Meyer's. When he saw his best friend dead on the floor of Babel Comics, the boy couldn’t bear to see that happen again. He had to distance himself for Carol, for Cheeks, and for Y/N.
"So Meyer turned out to be the Wolf?" Y/N clarified, shifting so they could look at Jonah. Their attitude completely changed towards their partner. Jonah was broken and traumatized. They wanted to be there for him, but they weren't sure how.
"And now Joe's missing," he sighed. "We're travelling to Europe next week to begin the next phase of our plan, so I won't see you for a while."
"I want to come with you," they insisted. He needed someone to anchor him to the light. "Let me join the Hunt."
Jonah was silent for a minute, looking at his determined and stubborn partner. He gave them a small smile and chuckled, cupping their cheek. "Well… Harriet claims that relationships are a weakness. It wouldn't hurt to prove her wrong."
He pressed his lips to theirs and placed his free arm on their waist. Weeks of tension and worry between the two fueled the kiss, causing the space between them to grow smaller with every second. At some point Y/N ended up straddling Jonah, the two barely noticing. They were too focused on each other, trying to fulfill the other's needs while attempting to keep it fairly PG as they were right next to the window.
As the makeout session was about to escalate further, the Crock-Pot beeped to let them know that the soup was ready. "We don't have to eat it now. It'll be fine to sit for another hour."
"It's about time to eat, though," Y/N stated, noticing the sun setting.
"Stay the night, then?" Jonah kissed Y/N softly.
"Absolutely."
