so i just rewatched Hunters (2020) on amazon over the weekend - little did i know that amazon had chopped up and reorganized the first season to make it over an hour shorter than it was originally
wish i'd realized it sooner cuz a lot of good scenes were removed, maybe not plot important but they emphasized the point of a show where the discussion is Nazis Are Still Alive and Well. but anyway. for anyone who wants to know what all was cut here's an incomplete list of everything i noticed as i skimmed through the original version of the show today:
ep 1:
jonah thinking about college letters/looking at carol across the street before ruth gets shot
travis introduction scene
nasa nazi lady choking on her food, stripping in the bathroom
jonah & friends looking at girls on the beach
meyer talking about chava and the human chessboard scene
jonah eating the soup and yelling that its not his safta's soup
some dialogue removed from meyers speech to jonah at the end
ep 2:
the whole team introduction scene??? with all the comic book-y styles
"im tired im hungry im in fucking florida" millie scene
holstedder holocaust flashbacks were completely removed?
lonny saying he'd fuck ruth if she was younger and that everyone scares him, jonah mentioning cheeks and bootyhole to him
movie opening changed to mix with team introduction scene
scene with holstedder at the piano felt very different
meyer picking up the phone
how many nazis were killed in nuremberg
maria introduction scene
biff and tobias phone call
schidler corp nazi writing July 13 on a map
ep 3:
ruth first night in the camps flashback was shortened significantly
lonny pissing his name on the ground
millie and maria scene w/ travis watching them (that acknowledges sommers)
eva talking to nazi employees, "darwin's offspring"
Know This Now: How To Find A Nazi
"no one wants to be robin" "robin's got it made" conversation. "there's nothing wrong with wanting to stay alive"
stayin alive boardwalk scene where jonah sees young ruth
bootyhole and jonah couch conversation
joe and roxy hand scene and conversation extended
some travis stalking millie scenes were removed
"homegirl is a jew"
eva talking about biff's weapon, then travis and eva phone call where he reports heinz' death. a bunch of lines were cut. including "we've got friends in the FBI"
"ruth chose the darkness" mindy @ jonah
lonny and harriet scene in the restaurant
ep 4:
travis looking at photos in jonahs bed
wolf/ruth conversation lines cut
a bit of harriet & contact man's scene cut
lines from murray and bank nazi were cut, criticism of meyer's character
"compensation from maryanne's family is prepared" money scene with tobias
lonny harassing the bank cops
millie/maria i love you scene
meyer gives jonah the ring
ep 5:
"i don't look that jewish" "you? jew." lonny and jonah scene
tilda sauer presentation and information
jonah being terrible to carol
lonny on the phone with his agent
some dialogue between biff and juanita
ep 6:
some of harriet's flashbacks were cut, small scenes
some dialogue between biff and juanita
ep 7:
some of joe's traumatic share time story was cut
the slinky on una's stairs
music box cipher with the lullaby to get the code
joe: "hi. you're little." @ roxy's daughter, lingering looks between joe and roxy
lonny on the ground bleeding
ep 8:
travis arguing back at eva
jonah apologizing to mindy
Game Show Sequence - Why Does Everyone Hate the Jews?
ep 9:
US tribunal was reshot as a serious flashback rather than an old timey TV screening, also many lines were cut. "yup, that shit really happened!"
carol finding jonah's college acceptance letters
lonny and harriet talking about lonny's dad
jonah's friends seeing him drive away with the hunters and discuss talking to the cops
biff and millie talking
travis drinking eva's blood milk
big soundtrack change while lonny's sneaking into the electrical part of the factory
lonny explaining his fake bomb
ep 10:
harriet fishing meyer out of the water
millie talking to travis in jail and he talks about orange and a bunch of other lines were cut
meyer and ruth flashbacks were shortened i think
travis' parents coming to see him in prison and then he asks for a jew lawyer
some of travis' conversation with the lawyer was cut

Just realized that we haven’t met the blond jock guy in the official poster. I assumed for a sec that it was Flash, but this world is basically the MCU but if Midtown was destroyed, meaning Peter wouldn’t form friendships with Acadec, Ned, and MJ(and wouldn’t meet Flash, who’s, uh, NOT blond in the MCU). I’m trying to think of other blond jock-type Spiderman characters, but I’m coming up blank.
Or maybe I’m blowing things out of proportions and he’s just an extra for the poster. Which, weird, since he’s in the same focus as the other main and side characters, but🤷‍♀️
Edit: nvm it’s just Sweaty Mike🙄

✨Fic Previews Under The Cut ✨
Green In My Costume:
“I think back to when everything started to go wrong, and it started with that costume,” Dick whispered. Donna reached out to touch Dick’s shoulder, but she drew back, knowing it would only make things worse. He drank orange juice out of the bottle as he took an aspirin.
“You know that’s not—.”
“What if it is? Maybe I’m cursed because I dared to laugh in the face of tradition. I told my mom it was a silly superstition. I insisted on it. Now, she’s dead. Dad’s dead. Jason is dead. What do I attribute that to? Do you really believe it’s a coincidence that everyone I love that puts on that costume dies?” Dick interrupted. Donna sat on the other side of his kitchen island, frowning as he took swigs from his orange juice bottle. “Jason was fifteen years old, Donna.”
Quintennial:
“Oh no, I don’t drink—.”
“You do tonight. Just hold onto it if you don’t want to,” Owen replied.
Tim took the flask, holding onto it as he sat on the rooftop of the mausoleum overlooking the graveyard. Owen sat beside him. “Why did you invite me?” Owen questioned. “I thought I was the last person you’d want to—.”
“We both lost our fathers, Owen. It wasn’t your doing. It wasn’t mine. You tried to put it aside for me the last time I saw you. I wasn’t ready but I am now,” Tim confessed.
“Okay. I know we might never be friends, but I—. It’s okay to grieve together. Isn’t it?” Owen questioned. Tim nodded, and Owen took the flask.
the ticking of the clock:
This doesn’t make sense. The only time we don’t hear the white noise machines is during lunch. I thought I heard a metronome in the background the first day, but I’m not so sure now.
I sit at a table with children my age, and I wonder why they’re so calm about all of this. I’m so nervous I realize I’m not breathing, but everything in me feels tense and tight. The four girls at the table talked amongst each other, but one of them stopped to look at me. I caught the look in her eye. It wasn’t flirtatious or malicious. She acknowledged my worries. “Look for the breaks,” she whispered, “But for now, they’re talking about the morning bulletin.”
I took a breath, trying to relax, and she smiled before returning to her conversation. I didn’t understand what she meant, but I knew she saw the same problems in the school that I did.
under an indigo sky:
“It’s a lot of work, but I liked it. Actually, there was a minute where I was a little bit scared… Because there was a minute where I really had to tear into her, and they cut the scene, and I couldn’t stop shaking and crying. I was under the assumption that you cut the scene and it just stops, and you go back to normal. That was something
“I had to get used to it during filming, but Natalia was super supportive. After scenes, she’d sit with me for a minute—. And she insisted on it. She would take me to wash my hands, and it was like um—. It was like we were washing our characters off. Natalia’s great with the mental part of it,” Jason complimented me. I smiled at him.
Never Clearer Than This:
“I know it’s my fault,” I whispered. Nightwing looked at me, blinking hard. “I can’t turn myself in because the whole city’s gonna want me dead. I don’t know what to do. I’m scared to go home—.”
“Hold on. Hold on… Wait. How do you—? I’m sure it wasn’t your fault,” Nightwing interrupted.
“I stole his tires last night. I know—. I know he would’ve been safe if he could’ve used his car. I took his tires… He couldn’t get away. I didn’t mean to get him killed. I—. Honestly—.”
Nightwing extended a hand to me. “You can’t stay here by yourself… Do you wanna come with me? I’ll make sure nothing happens to you,” Nightwing promised. I don’t know why, but I believed him. I took his hand, and he led me out of the boiler room. I followed him up the stairs and out into the alley. He gave me a helmet. “I’ll get you something to eat once we stop… And how do you know Batman’s dead?”
Stage Lights:
His lithe form glides across the floor, his arms stretching out toward a blur of color. The girls sped around him, but he was the star of the show. There was an agony on his face that could not be feigned. Starry sparkles of dewdrops in his eyes. I hate to say it, but every time I switched the lights from blue to purple, I hungrily awaited the single perfect tear drop that escaped his eye. I loved rehearsal because it gave me an excuse to watch him in all his glory. Mysterious and more raven-like than boy.
Every moment on stage felt special. After rehearsal, I’d turn the lights off, and he’d stay. Sometimes, he’d sit downstage and eat a sandwich, letting his feet dangle. I wasn’t afraid to approach. I knew he didn’t want to be bothered. Something kept him separate from everyone else, and it wasn’t any of my business… Until it was.

Apple of My Eye Chapter Ten
Harry Hook x Child of Snow White! Reader
Chapter Ten: You'll be in My Heart
Summary: The VKs have returned to Auradon, and Cotilion arrives, but something strange lurks in waiting.
“I’ll get these back to the gym,” said Lonnie, holding the pack of swords.
            “Thanks,” said Jay.
            “See you later,” said Lonnie.
“Ben, there you are,” said Jane, smiling as she walked up to the group. Obviously no one had realized anyone was missing or worried. “Cotillion’s tonight. Come here. Look.”
Ben paused and looked at Mal. “Do you want to cancel?” He didn’t want her to become overwhelmed again.
“Um, you know what?” Jane could sense the tension. “I’ll come back.”
“No, now’s fine,” said Ben, smiling at Mal. “Do whatever you need to do.”
Evie pulled Mal towards her, (Y/N), and the VKs. “We need to talk.”
(Y/N) smiled at the VKs. “I’ll give you guys a moment.”
            “It’s alright—”
“Mal,” said (Y/N). “I’m your friend. I want you to be happy, and I want you to be yourself. But I know that this conversation…it’s for the four of you. I can’t understand like they can.” They smiled. “But whatever you decide, I’m here to support and help you.”
Mal looked at (Y/N). “Thank you.”
“Of course, Mal,” said (Y/N). “I’ll see you all later.” They turned and walked away, leaving the VKs to have a discussion of where they came from and where they were going.
l
“Dress delivery,” called Evie, opening the door to (Y/N)’s dorm. “I have yours ready. Lizzie got her order earlier.”
“Thank you, Evie,” said (Y/N), smiling as Evie placed the dress carefully over their bed. “It looks beautiful.”
“And you’re going to look amazing in it,” said Evie. She looked at (Y/N). “How are you doing?”
“I’m doing alright,” said (Y/N), smiling.
“I was so worried,” said Evie. She hugged (Y/N). “I saw Harry near you, and I thought you were going to get hurt, and I was so worried.”
“Don’t worry, Evie,” said (Y/N). “You saved me, I’m back, and I’m fine. Harry barely even threatened me” They smiled to themself. “He was actually fun to talk to.”
Evie stepped back and looked at (Y/N). “Fun? Harry?”
“Yeah, he’s very witty,” said (Y/N). “And I like banter.”
Evie’s eyes narrowed, and she began to grin. Knowing (Y/N) was alright meant she could just tease away. “You two bantered?”
“It passed the time,” said (Y/N), smiling.
“Was it bantering or flirting?” said Evie, brushing out (Y/N)’s dress so it was smooth.
            “Evie!” exclaimed (Y/N), cheeks warming.
“So it was flirting,” said Evie.
“I was not flirting with a pirate who kidnapped me,” said (Y/N). “He was just…nice to talk to.”
“And you kept this?” Evie picked up the red sash from where (Y/N) had left it.
“…Okay, so we flirted,” admitted (Y/N).
            Evie smirked. “I knew it.”
“Evie,” groaned (Y/N), burying their face in their hands.
“I’ve got to tease you, (Y/N),” laughed Evie. “I’ve never seen you so interested in someone else.”
            “He’s a pirate,” groaned (Y/N).
            “And we were evil, too,” said Evie. “Besides, you could do worse.}
            “How?” said (Y/N).
“You could like Chad,” said Evie impishly.
(Y/N) cracked a grin, and the two laughed.
“Now,” said Evie. She held up the sash. “I have a good idea for this.” She smirked.
l
Spotlights shone in the air around the yacht as Cotillion got into full swing. Music played, and as people waited for their King to arrive, they danced and sang along to the music. The guests of honor—The VKs, (Y/N) (Ben’s best friends)—arrived and headed past the paparazzi.
Evie stepped up and posed as cameras flashed. Her long, blue gown sparkled, and her jewelry shone in the light. She smiled. The camera loved her.
“Evie, you look beautiful!” said the paparazzi.
            “Thank you,” said Evie, smiling.
“Did you design the barrette?” asked the press.
“It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” said Evie. “No, it’s not my creation.” She smiled. “Many of the hair accessories this evening are by a fabulous new designer, Dizzy of the Isle.”
Cameras flashed again, and Doug stepped up to pose with her. A couple more clicks of the camera, and they stepped down.
(Y/N) stepped up next. They had on a long red dress with blue puff sleeves and underskirts. A yellow bow fell around their waist, and gloves covered their hands. They smiled and let the cameras flash. A red fabric rose, folded from a familiar red scarf, was pinned in their hair.
“You look amazing!” said the paparazzi.
“Thank you. It’s all thanks to Evie,” said (Y/N), smiling. They tilted their head, and the cameras flashed to get a photo of them looking up with the rose seeming to obscure one eye, a trick of the angle.
l
On the Isle, gathered around the tiny television set of the restaurant, the pirates watched eagerly for a special guest to arrive. Harry rolled his eyes as each of the VKs went by, and everyone booed.
Then, (Y/N) stepped up. Harry paused as the rest of the crew continued to jeer. They were…handsome. Harry had known that the moment he saw them, but this was them in royal clothes, a wide smile on their face instead of in rags in a cell. He had to admit, he didn’t dislike either sight, but he hadn’t expected to find an Auradon kid so attractive.
And then he saw their rose of fabric. Harry’s heart thumped, and he touched his chest for a moment. He had never felt that before. But there (Y/N) was, wearing his sash as a decoration, almost as if they were saying they remembered him. Like the words about helping other Isle kids weren’t a lie. Like a promise.
Harry chuckled and smirked as he watched. Let’s see what will happen, Highness. He was interested to see if they’d follow through on their word. And if they did…
            Harry’s heart thumped harder.
l
(Y/N) smiled from across the yacht deck as they spotted Carlos and Jane entering together. Carlos had gotten the courage to ask her out. They were proud of him and unsurprised by the result—it was obvious to everyone Jane liked Carlos back.
Trumpet fanfare played, and the music stopped playing. Everyone turned to look up at the stairs where the King and his Lady of the Court would arrive. Lumiere stood at the top of the stairs and cleared his throat. Adam and Belle stood at the bottom and smiled expectantly, excitedly.
“The future Lady Mal,” announced Lumiere.
All the VKs and their dates gathered together with excited smiles. (Y/N) grinned at Evie, who smiled back.
Mal stepped out into the light. She wore a gown and cape of blue and gold, but instead of the simple princess-style design, it had been cut high-low, and the accessories held a certain intensity that was Mal. She looked like herself, instead of like someone else.
Mal smiled nervously, and Lumiere leaned in to whisper something that made her smile. (Y/N) began to applaud with the VKs, and Mal laughed as the cheers began. She walked down towards the deck, and Adam met her halfway down, kindly guiding her down.
“Ben is on his way,” said Adam.
            “Okay,” said Mal, smiling.
“And you look beautiful,” said Adam.
Mal is getting accepted for who she is, not who she thinks she needs to be, thought (Y/N), smiling.
“Oh, thank you,” said Mal, smiling nervously.
“I know we were shocked at first, but…” Belle smiled and took Mal’s hands. “You are exactly what Ben needs.”
“And lucky for me, she doesn’t go by first impressions,” teased Adam.
Mal smiled, nodded, and stepped towards her friends. (Y/N) and Evie took her hands.
            “Hi,” said Evie.
            “Hi,” said Mal.
“You look amazing, Mal. This dress is you,” said (Y/N).
“Thanks.” Mal glanced around herself at the crowd.
“How do you feel?” said Evie.
“Like I’m going to throw up,” admitted Mal sheepishly.
“I did at my first court presentation,” whispered (Y/N). “Don’t eat because of nerves. Not a pretty sight.”
Mal laughed, and (Y/N) smiled. They had relaxed her a little.
“And we’re right here with you,” said Evie. “Okay?”
“Okay,” said Mal. She had all the people she loved around her.
The spotlight turned onto Lumiere again, and he smiled.
            “King Benjamin,” said Lumiere.
Everyone cheered and clapped. Ben stepped out in regal blue, and Mal just stared. He had on a suit, but it had some details of leather and studs, like an allusion to Mal and her life at the Isle. Mal laughed and began to clap with a wide smile.
Evie and (Y/N) grinned at each other. Mal and Ben really loved each other.
Bowing, the crowd honored their king as he stood atop the stairs and looked around at all of them. He smiled and walked down towards the deck.
“Go get him,” whispered Evie, pushing Mal forward.
Mal stepped out of the crowd to meet Ben as he arrived on the deck. He bowed to Mal, and she bowed in return.
“Mal, I wish I had time to explain,” said Ben.
(Y/N) furrowed their brow. His tone was oddly…somber. And his eyes, the way they met people’s gaze, felt off. Faraway. He wasn’t truly looking at Mal, not in the way they’d seen him do in the past.
Ben looked up at the top of the stairs, and everyone followed his gaze in confusion. The spotlight switched on, and a girl a blue, mermaid-style dress stepped out.
            (Y/N)’s eyes widened. Uma!
Everyone stared in shock as Uma stepped out into the light with a shy smile. She looked around herself nervously.
Mal drew in a breath. (Y/N) looked at Ben in shock.
            “Did you know—” whispered Evie.
            “No,” said (Y/N).
Ben hadn’t mentioned his plans for bringing over more Isle kids at all to them, and to do it so suddenly and to start with Uma was a true shock. (Y/N) thought she deserved a second chance, yes, but this was quite sudden after she kidnapped and threatened his life.
            It felt off.
Murmurs and whispers went up in the crowd. Uma began to walk down the stairs, and Ben met her to guide her down. The look in his eyes as he gazed at her—(Y/N) recognized it. They narrowed their eyes.
Ben and Uma looked at one another and held each other’s hands. It was a loving gesture. Mal gasped, and her eyes burned as her heart broke. Ben bowed and kissed Uma’s hand. Uma’s hand that had his family ring, the one he should have given back to Mal after she returned to Auradon.
Uma laughed nervously, and Ben smiled at her.
The pair stepped towards Mal. “Sorry. It all happened so fast.” Ben smiled at Mal. “Something happened to me when I was on the Isle with Uma. A connection.” He gazed at Uma, who smiled at him.
“What are you saying?” said Mal, voice full of pain.
            “I’m saying—”
“It was love,” said Uma with an excited smile. “It was, I just—” She was giddy “—I realized how alike Ben and I are, you know?”
“We are,” agreed Ben, staring, lovestruck, at Uma.
            “I don’t believe this,” breathed (Y/N).
“How could he?” said Evie, eyes wide.
“You’re so beautiful,” said Ben, gazing at Uma in adoration.
“Ben…” said Mal softly. He didn’t respond. “Ben.” He looked at her. “Did you go back for her?”
“He didn’t have to,” said Uma. She smiled sheepishly. “I dove through the barrier before it closed, and I’m an excellent swimmer, so…”
“You are,” said Ben, smiling. Uma laughed shyly.
Mal’s eyes burned with tears, and Uma stepped to her. She took Mal’s hands and smiled.
“Listen, Mal,” she said. “I just really want to thank you.” She chuckled. “I do. For everything.” She hugged Mal, who stiffened. “Thank you. Thank you so much.” She stepped back, and Mal fought back her tears.
“Don’t you see, Mal? You were right,” said Ben. “You knew that we weren’t meant to be together. That’s why you never told me you loved me.” Mal tried to speak, but words failed her as her heart shattered into a million pieces. “Thank you.” He stepped back, and as music began to play, he took Uma’s hands, and they danced.
“Come on, Mal,” said Evie, pulling one of her best friends back to comfort her.
“Not too thrilled I risked my life for him,” said Carlos, narrowing his eyes as Uma and Ben danced.
“I can’t believe he did this,” said (Y/N). “How could he?” They were disappointed in Ben. He had been taught to be kind to others as he grew up, and he had always been polite in rejecting people throughout their teenager years, and (Y/N) knew he loved Mal more than he had any other girl. So why? Why was he hurting her so deeply?
And (Y/N) had seen him interact with Uma. He had wanted to help her and the Isle, but he hadn’t had the connection he had instantly with Mal, the one (Y/N) had seen. This didn’t seem possible.
“We’re with you, Mal,” said Lonnie.
“Let’s get out of here,” said Jay.
“Okay,” said Mal, a slight sob in her voice.
They began to walk to the door, and (Y/N) paused to watch Uma and Ben dance. His eyes couldn’t leave her, utterly entranced by her and her dancing. And Uma smiled prettily, but her gaze flitted to the crowd, eager to see them watching her dance. (Y/N) narrowed their eyes.
“This can’t be happening,” said (Y/N).
“It is,” said Jay, irritated at Ben hurting Mal.
“He loves Mal,” said (Y/N). “Not Uma.”
“He doesn’t,” said Mal, fighting her tears valiantly as her vision blurred.
“He does.” Something was wrong, and (Y/N) wasn’t going to let real love break. “Lumiere.” They looked at Lumiere. “Show the gift.”
            “What?” said Mal.
“Yes!” said Jane. “Show them, Lumiere. They need to see it.”
They needed to see just how much love Ben had for Mal and just how impossible it was for him to be like this with Uma. Mal deserved to see how deeply Ben loved her, and Ben needed to be reminded who he had a true connection with.
Lumiere cleared his throat. “And now, for the unveiling of King Ben’s masterpiece, designed especially for his Lady.”
A spotlight hit the other side of the deck where a curtain covered a piece of art. All eyes went to it, and (Y/N) watched with considerable satisfaction as Uma’s smile fell into irritation and confusion.
Trumpets blew, the curtain fell, and Mal’s eyes widened.
It was a stained-glass design of her and Ben. Ben gazed at her in adoration in the piece of art, and Mal looked like herself. Her hair was purple, her eyes a glowing green, and all of her clothes were dragon-esque with her motifs of purple and green. Nothing about it was the proper princess appearance she had put on for so many months. It was the real Mal, the one Ben truly loved.
Applause started as people gasped and gazed at the display of adoration and loyalty. This was a gift from the heart. (Y/N) smiled and looked at Mal. She couldn’t believe it. Ben, below, stepped towards the stained-glass, unable to keep his eyes from it. Uma stared at him, frustrated worry on her face.
            “Ben did that?” said Mal.
            “Yeah, he did,” said Evie.
            “He designed it?” said Mal.
“He did,” said (Y/N). They smiled. “He chose everything in it.” He chose to show Mal.
“Oh,” said Mal, the tears in her eyes now of joy. “Ben’s known who I was all along.”
“He loves the real you,” said Evie, smiling.
            “He always has,” said (Y/N).
            “A true love,” breathed Mal.
            “Yeah,” said (Y/N), smiling.
            “Told you,” said Evie.
“Cover that back up!” An angry shout broke the beautiful moment. Uma glared at Lumiere.
“I will not!” said Lumiere indignantly.
Everyone stared at Uma, shocked by her outburst.
Uma coughed and put on a smile again. “Why don’t you tell everyone the present you have for me, Ben?” Her voice seemed to draw his attention to her, and the soft gaze in his eyes as he looked at the stained-glass faded.
Ben turned to look at everyone. “I have an announcement. Uma will be joining the court tonight as my lady.”
            “No!” said everyone.
“Ben, look at your gift,” said (Y/N). “You know who you lo—”
“Not now, (Y/N)!” snapped Ben angrily.
The VKs gasped, and (Y/N)’s eyes widened. He had never lashed out like that before.
Ben cleared his throat. “Uh, so, as my gift to her, I’m bringing down the barrier once and for all.”
Gasps went up as Ben announced the barrier would come down. (Y/N) narrowed their eyes. They were ready to bring more people over, and, eventually, the Isle shouldn’t be a prison, but this suddenly? With Ben forgetting who he loved? It was too suspicious. (Y/N) wouldn’t stand for it.
“Fairy Godmother,” said Ben. “Bring down the barrier.”
“I most certainly will not!” said Fairy Godmother.
“I am your king!” shouted Ben.
            “Obey him,” snapped Uma.
            “Ben’s spelled,” realized Mal.
“Uma found your spell book,” said Evie, eyes widening. It had gotten lost while they were on the Isle, and now the consequences of that were clear.
“We need to break it,” said (Y/N). Evie and (Y/N) looked at Mal. There was only one person who could beat such a spell—the person Ben truly loved.
Mal stepped down towards Uma and Ben. “Ben,” she said. They looked at her. “Ben.” She smiled. “Look at me.”
“No, look at me,” said Uma, trying to retain control of Ben. “You love me, remember?”
“No, you don’t,” said Mal, smiling calmly at Ben.
            “Yes, you do.”
            “Ben, look at me.”
“Bring down the barrier, now!” shouted Uma at Fairy Godmother.
“I do not take orders from you!” said Fairy Godmother.
            “Ben?” Uma narrowed her eyes.
“Ben.” Mal gazed at him with pure love in her eyes. “I never told you that I loved you because I thought that I wasn’t good enough. And I thought it was only a matter of time before you realized that yourself.”
            “Ben—”
Ben wasn’t looking away from Mal as she spoke.
“But, Ben, that’s me.” Mal laughed joyously as she looked at the artwork. “I’m part Isle and part Auradon.”
“Ben, eyes over here,” said Uma.
“And Ben, you’ve always known who we were and who we can be,” said Mal gently.
            “Don’t listen to her!”
“Ben, I know what love feels like now,” said Mal. She smiled. “Ben. Of course I love you. Ben, I’ve always loved you.” She stepped forward and kissed him. Instantly, Ben kissed back.
(Y/N) smiled. For the first time in their life, they saw True Love conquer all.
