Buck opens the door of his loft and exhales a deep sigh when he comes face to face with his unexpected guest. “You know, I’m trying to remember the last time I opened my door and you weren't there.”

Josh huffs a laugh, half-raising his hands as if in surrender. “I swear, I’m here of my own volition this time.”

Buck narrows his eyes for a moment, then drops the facade. He steps aside and beckons with his head for Josh to come on in. “You want a beer? I’m allowed to have one every 24 hours.”

“Doctor’s orders?” Josh asks as he takes a seat on one of the stools at the island.

Buck huffs a laugh. He grabs two bottles from the back of the fridge, and twists the cap off before handing one to Josh. “Doctor’s recommendation, but Eddie’s on my ass about it. I love the guy, but he’s such a stickler for rules sometimes.”

“Yeah, his own,” Josh rolls his eyes. Buck frowns, tilting his head in question, but Josh waves him off and takes another sip of his drink. “How are you, really?”

Buck sighs again. It’s been two weeks and he’s been asked that question about two hundred times, give or take. He lifts his shoulders and lets them drop. “I don’t know.”

Josh nods, diverting his gaze to the bottle in his hands. “I wanted to say I’m sorry. For the sudoku incident.” He looks up with a smile that Buck can’t help but mirror. 

“The sudoku incident?” Buck asks with a tilt of his head.

So I’ve been on a Buck/Josh kick lately and I was wondering, did they ever get a ship name?

I tried Jevan, but I think that belongs to a ship in another fandom. I also tried Russley but I only found a couple Buck/Josh posts using that name.

So was one of these the actual ship name and the ship just isn’t that popular, or was there another name picked for the ship?

Bobby angsting over taking care of a baby when he couldn't keep his kids alive or even just Bobby changing a diaper and remembering those days with his own children. Out of practice Dad!Bobby trying to care for a baby could be really cute and fun to write.

(ok it's past midnight here but here's some buckjosh crumbs yeah?)

Buck spins Josh around and pulls him flush to his chest, his mouth right next to Josh’s ear when he speaks. “You know this dance?” he asks, voice hoarse from having to shout all night.

“Oh, yeah,” Josh grins, swaying his hips, grinding against his dance partner. Buck sucks in a sharp breath, his grip on Josh’s hips tightening, and distantly, Josh wonders how they’d feel like on his bare skin. He closes his eyes and drops his head back, resting it on Buck’s shoulder, and that gives Buck the opportunity to lean in and kiss his neck, a soft caress of his plush lips against Josh’s pulse point that has him moaning involuntarily.

There’s a chance they might be crossing a line here, but he doesn’t dwell on it. There’s no rules on the dance floor of a gay club, they’re making them up as they go. Josh reaches back, wrapping his arms around Buck’s neck, continuing to sway and grind against him. When the chorus starts playing, he shimmies his way down, trying his best not to break the contact between their bodies, and slowly rises back up along Buck’s body.

Strong hands come to rest on his hips again, spinning him back around until they’re face to face. The look in Buck’s eyes is hungry. He looks like he wants to devour him whole. Josh feels his heart racing in his chest, barrelling against his ribcage like it wants out. He can’t stop what’s about to happen, nor does he want to. Next thing he knows, Buck has a hand on the back of his neck and is pulling him into a hot, open-mouthed, messy kiss, his other arm wrapping around Josh’s middle, pressing their bodies together as they keep dancing. Josh can’t help the noise that falls from his mouth, gets swallowed by Buck’s as he runs his fingers through his hair, grabbing a handful and tugging until Josh tips his head back and Buck moves his mouth along his jaw and to his neck, gently sinking his teeth into it.

“Oh, fuck,” Josh gasps loud enough that he’s sure the people around him must’ve heard.

Buck pulls away just a step until their eyes meet again. “Let’s get out of here.”
