Sweet tooth head cannons part 2

I'm just going to put part 1 of my headcannons here as well since there might some continuations/more details from part 1

The first five animal army members were in order Bear,Tiger,Rhino,Pony,and Flamingo ; At first they had a blood oath ceremony to induct you into the army but that soon stopped after Flamingo since her finger wouldn't stop bleeding and the rest of animal army did NOT want to go through that disaster again (they all have cool matching scars tho from that).

Flamingo's parents were a chef and baker so she grew up around cooking and baking so when I say she can make good food I mean it ; Her ability to make decently good food from what the army was able to get is astonishing.

Rosie,Ginger,Tex,the wolf boys and ginger's son all stay in Texas for a while to monitor and oversee the farm but they eventually leave to find a place closer to where all the hybrids are and so they can have a place to stay that isn't crawling with bad memories.

The farm is still in Rosie and Ginger's hands but they now look over it from the sidelines trusting the people who are there to keep it in order and up to the new standards they've created.

The animal army get stick and poke tattoos of the animal they were while in the army to commemorate their time in the army ; They're still a army but they retire their old outfits for stuff that's more comfortable and recenter their focus on helping hybrids using other means that are not killing ; Bear gets a bear,Tiger gets a tiger,Rhino gets a rhino,Pony gets a pony,Flamingo gets a flamingo,etc.

Tiger before the crumble had a younger sister that was killed by the sick along with their grandparents who she was close with ; Tiger's father eventually joined the last men but both of her parent's soon were killed because of sick which is when they ran away.

Tiger before the crumble learned sewing and embroidery from their mother and was just starting to learn photography from their grandparents ; Tiger kept the camera from their childhood and started getting back into photography during the animal army days and continued it when living with the hybrids (Bear was one of their favorite things to capture) ; Rhino,Pony,Flamingo and Wendy do like to steal it in order to get photographic evidence of Bear and Tiger acting like a couple (but Bear and Tiger don't entirely know that yet).

Bear didn't sleep much when Tiger was injured like she tried but she eventually gave up and just continued to be by Tiger's side as much as she could.

The hybrids and Wendy could sense that Bear wanted to be by Tiger's side so they mostly found ways to entertain themselves with both Wendy and Jepp offering to take up watching and entertaining the hybrids ; Jepp trusted Becky to look over Gus as well since she was in there but still periodically checked in on them.

Bear,Tiger and the rest of the animal army kept the fallen members memory alive by telling stories to the hybrids about them and created a book that honored not only their memories but also Pubba,Birdie,Aimee,Louisa,Dr Singh,Bruno,Roy and many others lost.

The hybrids for some reason really love hammocks so now they have a shit ton around the place in order to decrease arguments of who gets a hammock ; No one touches the hammock towards the outskirts of the woods tho since that's the one that Bear and Tiger share and is the place they go to when they need a break or just want to be alone.

Rosie after everything chills out finally is able to do her art again and now she gets to share this with her boys who are very eager to enjoy something that makes their mother so happy ; Rosie is a really good painter and loves crafting things with Ginger also loving painting (both did it during their pregnancies to help relax them) ; their home is now covered in both Rosie and Ginger's art but also the boy's art pieces that everyone in the house cherishes.

Ginger's son absolutely loves being the water and gets super smiley and happy when bath time comes around ; Rosie jokes that the only time she ever saw that same exact smile is when her boys are running around.

After finally being away from her mother Rosie and her boys can finally grieve the death of Bruno and remember his memory while also grieving the childhood she wished her boys should of had with her making sure that her boys live a safe and happy childhood that she wished Bruno was also allowed to have.

Parenting at first comes not so easily to Rosie,Ginger and Tex but they eventually get the hang of it with the help and advice of Jepp and Becky ; The wolf boys love howling especially when they're happy or excited and it seems like Ginger's child is also quite vocal when it comes to things that make him excited and happy as well with Rosie,Ginger and Tex not minding it at all but instead encouraging it.

Parenting the wolf boys isn't entirely easy since they were taught so much terrible shit that needs to be unlearned but Rosie wouldn't trade it for the world because now she knows that she teaching and parenting them herself instead of somebody else ; It takes time to get them to unlearn the bad habits taught to them but since the boys are still fairly young they respond well and are able to learn and be around their mother who adores them ,their cousin who they love to be around and a whole bunch of others who are not only like them but who are not scared of them and want to be around them.

Rhino,Pony,and Flamingo are now overseeing the new animal army with the help of both Bear and Tiger and visit the cabin fairly often to see their favorite people : the hybrids ; The hybrids do visit the animal army HQ once in while and they always end eating too much sugar,playing games,being spoiled and staying up way too late much to the dismay of Jepp,Bear,and Tiger.

However when Flamingo finds all the homegrown food at the cabin has it's over for everyone with Flamingo at first freaking out since she hasn't had this much to work with in years and then ends up making one of the best dishes anyone has ever had making the hybrids flock to poor Flamingo with food requests ; Flamingo in the span of a few months lovingly makes all the hybrids their food requests because she can't say no to those faces.

Rosie,Ginger,Tex and the boys manage to find a quaint farmhouse about 30 minutes away from the hybrids to settle down in and with the help of Jepp,Tiger and Flamingo manage to start growing their own food but they still spend a decent amount of time hanging out in the woods with everyone not just to socialize the boys but because the boys seem so happy being in an environment surrounded with kids like them and who was Rosie to take away what made her kids so happy.

The hybrids,Jepp,Wendy,Gus,and Bear are all pretty light sleepers with everything that has happened so they usually wake up with any slight noise but then go back to bed if not anything to be worried about. Tiger and the animal army on the other hand sleep like the dead unless they hear a actually concerning sound which is when they really wake up.

The hybrids share tree houses not only because they like sharing a space but it's because in case someone has a nightmare or a bad memory there's always going to be someone in the tree house to help them and be there for them ; Jepp,Becky and Tiger always tell them to come to them when that happens and they do when it's bad or when they want too(Gus goes to Jepp,Wendy goes to Becky,the other hybrids will go switch between Jepp,Becky,and Tiger) but a decent amount of time it can be helped with just being around one another and being reminded that they're alive surrounded by friends and in a safe environment.

A lot of the time the hybrids sleep under the stars being able to see the sky and hear the sounds of the woods around them but they do also sleep in the tree houses (that are equipped with nightlights) since it's their space and they love it.

Bear and Tiger enjoy climbing onto the roof of their tree house and stargazing or just talking or they climb onto their designated tree and sit there enjoying the view or again just talking about anything and everything.

Rosie,Ginger and the boys eventually meet the animal army who immediately love the boys ; Rosie comes with the hybrids when they visit the animal army HQ since the boys still get a little anxious when they're away from their mother and Rosie doesn't think she's ever heard them howl so loudly or seem the light shine so bright in their eyes.

Okay, so, I had some random, interconnected Dead by Daylight ideas - And full disclosure, I haven't combed the depths of their lore to see if it's specifically been done already in some form.

Alright - So:

In the archive lore snippets, there's been mention of a group of friends + family of the survivors having come together to search for their missing loved ones. They've managed to figure out that the disappearances are connected and have some idea about The Entity/another dimension - Some sort of cosmic fuckery going on.

In at least some instances (universes within the mutilverse), they apparently managed to cross into The Entity's Realm.

Idea the first, and probably the most obvious one, is that they could be fun ideas for playable survivors themselves. Or, if nothing else, character reskins for their associated survivors - Eg: Replace Jake with his father (Sam, apparently. Also, apparently Jake's grandfather/Sam's dad also disappeared into the fog, so he could be an option too), Dwight with his mom(?) (Elaine has the surname Fairfield but it's never actually specified how she's related to Dwight, it would seem).

I can see Bhvr being hesitant to do original lore-based reskins, though, because even if they are available for iri shards and not just auric cells, I don't know how willing people would be to buy and use the skins, and they'll require a relatively higher amount of effort to make compared to usual outfits.

I mean, heck, I can see them being hesitant about even introducing new playable survivors connected to previous characters/lore - Sable seems to have worked out well, but she wasn't really directly mentioned in Mikaela's lore (weirdly sidestepped if you consider a Watsonion explanation, rather than the actual Doylist reason - ie: They hadn't come up with/written her yet). But I would love for characters like Benedict Baker, Saku Nakano the Redcrane, Alex Damaro, Cliff Barra, Candice Maddock, Mahan Singh, Surin Rivera, and Jayden/Jordan Rois (with a Haley reskin for Haddie for funsies) to get made into actual survivors.

Otto Stamper would be an interesting idea - Sure, you could make the dickbag into a killer, but what if he was a survivor? A truly heinous person - an outright evil bastard compared to Yun-Jin's selfish, cutthroat personality, but he refuses to give his will over to The Entity. Something like that. He helps the others because it betters his chances at survival, not because he actually cares about their fates - You don't throw away good tools unnecessarily, after all. The other survs might not know about his history/nature (he puts on a charming enough face, after all) - Hell, he might even be claiming he's a good variant - That cult leader/mad scientist? "He's a monster, but that was only one set of universes!". Either way, they're stuck with him in trials, and it's not like he'll truly die if sacrificed anyway. Might as well put him to work on generators.

- Given the lore entries, I'm genuinely hoping Candice or Jordan/Jaden comes in a full chapter with the Mist Vampire mentioned in their stories. Given that Castlevania's bringing old Drac himself though, I'm guessing it'll be a while before they do that killer, if ever.

Idea the second - Part one is fairly straightforward - Use this group of friends and family and their ongoing story to tease a new survivor:

- One of the members of the group is looking for someone whose name we don't recognize

- Eventually, we do meet their missing relative in a new original chapter

Part two of this notion is mostly a storytelling hook playing with this:

- What if one of the members of this group, again, was looking for someone we didn't recognize -

And they turned out to just be wrong about what happened.

- Their missing loved one was not taken by The Entity, they aren't somewhere in The Fog. They either died/disappeared due to some other tragedy, or maybe they didn't want this person to find them, and/or it was a huge misunderstanding of some sort and they're happy elsewhere and just out of contact with this person (Does this loved one genuinely not know what happened or are they very in denial about the situation, whatever it might be?)

- So now, this person has joined up with the group, including venturing into The Fog, and they're not going to find their answers here. And they're going through all this Fog-related misery unnecessarily.

- Actually - Good time for a plot twist! They're actually the new playable survivor themselves!

- Of anything I mention here, this one might be something Bhvr's plausibly already got in the works

Idea the third - Iterating again on this friends & family group - What if someone who joined was instead a relative of a killer?

- This would have to be a limited list of potential candidates:

- Contemporary - It just doesn't quite hit the same to have a descendant of the Quinn family investigating the disappearance of Caleb from Hellshire (and besides - Zarina already has that angle kind of covered :p)

- Has a relative who would care enough to look for them

- That relative isn't too much of a bastard themselves

- The best bet here might be someone connected to The Legion. Sure, they're not implied to have great home lives, any of them, if they ended up becoming part of the murder-teen squad, but maybe, after they disappear, one of their parents who was more neglectful than directly/purposefully abusive feels guilty and tries to find them - For Julie, Joey, or Susie, anyway. Or maybe Frank has a long-lost sibling or foster sibling who genuinely wants to find him, either not knowing or having rose-tinted glasses about what he was like.

- At any rate, wouldn't that be a hell of a reunion in the fog?

- You could also build up to it, like - The parent even sees Frank as a Killer and goes "Aha! I knew that bastard was no good! What have you done with my [Julie/Joey/Susie]?!

- Then, with the hope that maybe their kid got pulled in here as a victim of Frank's, they find them. As a Killer - There's maybe a pause as the pang of recognition hits [Julie/Joey/Susie], but they're fully in the fog (heh) of the Entity's grip and compelled to kill

- Does the parent keep trying to reach their kid? (I mean, assuming it's the same-universe-version as them. I feel like The Entity would twist the knife like that - They manage to get through to one, but it wasn't their version). Do they let themselves die again and again without trying to fight back? Do they fight with all their might, trying to reach their kid, deep down, somewhere in there? Do they just shutdown and refuse to acknowledge the situation or engage?

- You could combine this with Idea #2 - The relative comes looking for their missing loved one, finds out they're a killer, and they themselves are the playable survivor for the chapter.

- Something on a more-equal footing for the relationship than the neglectful parent of a very-young (if legally adult) killer might also feel less-uncomfortable. Even as I was writing stuff out it was like "They feel bad for having harmed their kid, yet they're willing to smack 'em with pallets or whatever? Hrmm..."

- If it was more like, siblings, partners, friends, cousins or such, the tragedy could still be there without it necessarily hitting too close to home or having more-uncomfortable power dynamics

Anyway, this kind of ties into something I've really wanted in the game for a while - Alternate universe versions of the Killers, where they were taken as survivors.

I don't think that would necessarily mean, like, a new set of perks for each human killer-as-survivor. Maybe like one base survivor with a whole spate of alternate skins. And like one set of perks themed around a twist of fate/for want of a nail-type stuff

Featuring Peter Cushing and Ingrid Pitt, this Roy Ward Baker classic is likely beloved by many Monster Kids growing up with Famous Monsters of Filmland and their many coffee table monster movie books as it was featured often in those beloved tomes. The film also stars Pippa Steel, Madeline Smith, Kate O’Mara, George Cole, Jon Finch, Ferdy Mayne, Dawn Adams, Harvey Hall, and John Forbes-Robertson. Hammer not only kicks off the 1970s but also their Karnstein trilogy with fangs, blood, and ample nudity. The Grue Crew share their thoughts on the film, the cast, and the trilogy.

The Vampire Lovers is the last of the twenty films that Doc Rotten and The Black Saint chose as their ’70s favorites back in 2013, an event that led to the creation of the Decades of Horrors 1970s podcast. The Christmas tree today is a common custom to most of us. There are many interesting connections to ancient traditions such as Egyptian and Roman customs, early Christian practices, and Victorian nostalgia. However, most scholars point to Germany as being the origin of the Christmas tree. Long before the advent of Christianity, plants and trees that remained green all year had a special meaning for people in the winter. Just as people today decorate their homes during the festive season with pine, spruce, and fir trees, ancient peoples hung evergreen boughs over their doors and windows. In many countries it was believed that evergreens would keep away witches, ghosts, evil spirits, and illness. In the Northern hemisphere, the shortest day and longest night of the year falls on December 21 or December 22 and is called the winter solstice. Many ancient people believed that the sun was a god and that winter came every year because the sun god had become sick and weak. They celebrated the solstice because it meant that at last the sun god would begin to get well. Evergreen boughs reminded them of all the green plants that would grow again when the sun god was strong and summer would return. The ancient Egyptians worshipped a god called Ra, who had the head of a hawk and wore the sun as a blazing disk in his crown. At the solstice, when Ra began to recover from his illness, the Egyptians filled their homes with green palm rushes, which symbolized for them the triumph of life over death.

Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Early Romans marked the solstice with a feast called Saturnalia in honor of Saturn, the god of agriculture. The Romans knew that the solstice meant that soon, farms and orchards would be green and fruitful. To mark the occasion, they decorated their homes and temples with evergreen boughs. In Northern Europe the mysterious Druids, the priests of the ancient Celts, also decorated their temples with evergreen boughs as a symbol of everlasting life. The fierce Vikings in Scandinavia thought that evergreens were the special plant of the sun god, Balder. One of the earliest stories relating back to Germany is about Saint Boniface. In 722, he encountered some pagans who were about to sacrifice a child at the base of a huge oak tree. He cut down the tree to prevent the sacrifice and a Fir tree grew up at the base of the oak. He then told everyone that this lovely evergreen, with its branches pointing to heaven, was a holy tree - the tree of the Christ child, and a symbol of His promise of eternal life. Germany is credited with starting the Christmas tree tradition as we now know it in the 16th century when devout Christians brought decorated trees into their homes. Some built Christmas pyramids of wood and decorated them with evergreens and candles if wood was scarce. Another story tells that perhaps it was Martin Luther responsible for the origin of the Christmas tree. This story says that one Christmas Eve, about the year 1500, he was walking through the snow-covered woods and was struck by the beauty of the snow glistened trees. Their branches, dusted with snow, shimmered in the moon light. When he got home, he set up a small fir tree and shared the story with his children. He decorated the Christmas tree with small candles, which he lighted in honor of Christ's birth. Another legend says that in the early 16th century, people in Germany combined two customs that had been practiced in different countries around the globe. The Paradise tree (a fir tree decorated with apples) represented the Tree of Knowledge in the Garden of Eden.

Christmas tree in Rio de Janeiro The Christmas Light, a small, pyramid-like frame, usually decorated with glass balls, tinsel and a candle on top, was a symbol of the birth of Christ as the Light of the World. Changing the tree’s apples to tinsel balls and cookies and combining this new tree with the light placed on top, the Germans created the tree that many of us know today. In the 1840s and 50s, Queen Victoria and Prince Albert popularized the Christmas tree in England. Prince Albert decorated a tree and ever since that time, the English, because of their love for their Queen, copied her Christmas customs including the Christmas tree and ornaments. An engraving of the Royal Family celebrating Christmas at Windsor was published in 1848 and their German traditions were copied and adapted. Another story about the origin of the Christmas tree says that late in the Middle Ages, Germans and Scandinavians placed evergreen trees inside their homes or just outside their doors to show their hope that spring would soon come. Most 19th-century Americans found Christmas trees an oddity. The first record of one being on display was in the 1830s by the German settlers of Pennsylvania, although trees had been a tradition in many German homes much earlier. The Pennsylvania German settlements had community trees as early as 1747. But, as late as the 1840s Christmas trees were seen as pagan symbols and not accepted by most Americans. It is not surprising that, like many other festive Christmas customs, the tree was adopted so late in America. To the New England Puritans, Christmas was sacred. The pilgrims’s second governor, William Bradford, wrote that he tried hard to stamp out "pagan mockery" of the observance, penalizing any frivolity. The influential Oliver Cromwell preached against "the heathen traditions" of Christmas carols, decorated trees, and any joyful expression that desecrated "that sacred event." In 1659, the General Court of Massachusetts enacted a law making any observance of December 25 (other than a church service) a penal offense; people were fined for hanging decorations. That stern solemnity continued until the 19th century, when the influx of German and Irish immigrants undermined the Puritan legacy. The early 20th century saw Americans decorating their trees mainly with homemade ornaments, while the German-American sect continued to use apples, nuts, and marzipan cookies. Popcorn joined in after being dyed bright colors and interlaced with berries and nuts. Electricity brought about Christmas lights, making it possible for Christmas trees to glow for days on end. With this, Christmas trees began to appear in town squares across the country and having a Christmas tree in the home became an American tradition.

Christmas tree best wishes Research into customs of various cultures shows that greenery was often brought into homes at the time of the winter solstice. It symbolized life in the midst of death in many cultures. The Romans were known to deck their homes with evergreens during of Kalends of January 15. Living trees were also brought into homes during the old Germany feast of Yule, which originally was a two month feast beginning in November. The Yule tree was planted in a tub and brought into the home. But there is no evidence that the Christmas tree is a direct descendent of the Yule tree. Evidence does point to the Paradise tree however. This story goes back to the 11th century religious plays. One of the most popular was the Paradise Play. The play depicted the story of the creation of Adam and Eve, their sin, and their banishment from Paradise. The only prop on the stage was the Paradise tree, a fir tree adorned with apples. The play would end with the promise of the coming Savior and His Incarnation. The people had grown so accustomed to the Paradise tree, that they began putting their own Paradise tree up in their homes on December 24. Christmas trees have been sold commercially in the United States since about 1850. In 1979, the National Christmas Tree was not lighted except for the top ornament. This was done in honor of the American hostages in Iran. The tallest living Christmas tree is believed to be the 122-foot, 91-year-old Douglas fir in the town of Woodinville, Washington. The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree tradition began in 1933. Franklin Pierce, the 14th president, brought the Christmas tree tradition to the White House. In 1923, President Calvin Coolidge started the National Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony now held every year on the White House lawn. Since 1966, the National Christmas Tree Association has given a Christmas tree to the President and first family. Most Christmas trees are cut weeks before they get to a retail outlet. In 1912, the first community Christmas tree in the United States was erected in New York City. Christmas trees generally take six to eight years to mature. Christmas trees are grown in all 50 states including Hawaii and Alaska. 90 percent of all Christmas trees are grown on farms. More than 1,000,000 acres of land have been planted with Christmas trees. On average, over 2,000 Christmas trees are planted per acre. You should never burn your Christmas tree in the fireplace. It can contribute to creosote buildup. Other types of trees such as cherry and hawthorns were used as Christmas trees in the past. Thomas Edison’s assistants came up with the idea of electric lights for Christmas trees. In 1963, the National Christmas Tree was not lit until December 22nd because of a national 30-day period of mourning following the assassination of President Kennedy. Teddy Roosevelt banned the Christmas tree from the White House for environmental reasons. On the contrary the 2020 Christmas Tree is an 18 ½ foot Fraser Fir from West Virginia. It will serve as a centerpiece for Christmas decorations in the Blue Room of the White House. The White House Christmas Tree must stand 18-19 feet tall and reach the ceiling of the Blue Room, where the chandelier is removed each holiday season to accommodate the tree.
