content: future smut, fluff, angst, basically all of it

pairing: milo manheim x afab!reader & ross lynch x afab!reader

summary: every summer, you travel to dahlia's beach to reunite with your mother's closest friend and her son. but this year he unexpectedly brings a friend along. caught in the gentle waves of affection and longing, you find yourself navigating uncharted waters where the boundaries of friendship blur.

notes: this is loosely based on the summer i turned pretty. i just watched the second season and lawwwd i wanted to make a ff soo bad. plus milo and ross have absolutely none anywhere.

masterlist

You loved Dahlia's beach. It always smelled salty with a hint of expensive barbeque if you were in the city. But near the countryside there was the sweet smell of honeysuckle. That's where you would rather be, where the tall grass met the sandy dunes. The sounds of hooves on pavement and bustle around the farmers market on a hot weekend afternoon.

This summer was no different. Your stomach churned, rumbling in excitement as you neared the beach house. It was huge. Five bedrooms with enough bathrooms. Too many patios surrounding it. Turquoise colored pool with a small waterfall. The house was a blueish gray color with white accents. Calm and minimalistic, much unlike the other grand colorful houses on the street. It sat like a diamond around other stones in a non normal way. The most priceless of them all. Placed directly in front of the beach but not close enough to tourist spots so it was always quiet. It was always such an amazing way to spend the three months in between school. You looked forward to it every year.

But that wasn't all you looked forward to.

Your mom honked as you guys entered the driveway. A wide smile plastered on her face. Your mom seemed to love this place more than she loved you, even if she denied it when you asked. You knew the truth. Summers at the beach house were the only time she got to see her best friend, Camryn.

"Hey!" A voice squealed from the porch. You shuffled out of the car, legs aching after a long 5 hours. As you stretched you were met with Cam, arms spread jumping for joy. Practically knocking you over. They were best friends from high school. Going to college together and even sharing a dorm room. With how they acted every time they met, you were convinced they had separation anxiety. They didn't get to see each other throughout the year. Other than here of course. For they lived states apart, Dahlia's being a quiet beach town that was located in the middle.

Camryn engulfed you in a bear hug first, gushing about how pretty you are. Making you do a spin in your dress. Once she pulled away she did the same to your mom whose high pitched voice could be heard from the beach. As they talked about how ‘different’ each other looked. You watched as they walked inside hand in hand when your eyes met his.

Milo.

He radiantly smiled as he trotted over to you. The classic hands in pockets, ruffled hair, and expensive glasses. It was like he had a glow up every year whether it was him dressing better or maybe getting a bit taller.

"Hi" He cooed embracing you in a tight hug. The smell of his overpriced cologne filled your nose. It reminded you of sugary trees and cool waves. Much like the beach house. He was another reason you loved the beach house so much. Without him you were stuck with two middle aged ladies whose celebrity crush was Liam Neeson and only watched tv shows made by Shonda Rhimes. He was fun. He never made you feel left out or alone. He was everything any girl could wish for. Tall, smart, rich, and incredibly good eye candy.

"Hello, Milo." You smiled as he let you go.

He ran a hand threw his hair looking down at you. Eyes trailing down your body strangely. His expression was unrecognizable. Your face heated up turning your head to avoid his gaze. He touched the bottom of your dress. Yanking the fabric gently.

"This is a little short isn't it?" He questioned eyes meeting yours. Lips curled up in a sly smile. Rolling your eyes you scoffed slapping his hand away. He acted like a big brother sometimes. Especially with your clothes. Every summer complaining about how short your shorts were or how revealing your bathing suit was.

"Oh shut up you do this every-" The sight of someone else on the porch caught your eye. "Who's that?" You questioned raising an eyebrow.

Milo turned around and nodded in acknowledgement as the boy made his way down the stairs. Bleached blond hair slightly overgrown and wide smile on display as he made his way towards you two.

"Y/N this is Ross, Ross Y/N. He's staying the summer with us this year." Ross reached his hand out to you. Clad in silver rings that looked a bit out of your price range. Does Milo have any Middle Class friends? It was unusual. No one ever came to the beach house from back home. It was like a unsaid rule between everyone. Written in big red letters 'No Strangers'. The dads didn't even bother coming even though Milo's paid for it.

"Nice to meet you." He looked you up and down a tongue swiping over his lips. "Milo didn't tell me how pretty you are."

"Dude!" Milo exclaimed punching his shoulder rolling his eyes.

"Thank you." You beamed softening your voice. Milo scoffed walking towards the trunk slightly bumping into Ross. But he didn't seem to mind, hazel eyes still trained on you.

"So where are you fr-" Ross was cut off by a slightly pissed off Milo. "Are you guys serious? C'mon Ross help me with these bags." Ross walked away backwards eyes still focused on you with that addicting smile of his.

"See you inside?" He whispered loud enough for you to hear him.

You didn't respond. Only nodding as you strolled inside.

Marinette is in school as usual begin ignored by most of her so-called friends who is leading towards a certain liar who is Lila Rossi who is currently blabs about her fake life to the lackeys unlike some who had look it up on google but also apologized to Marinette that they were wrong and should never trust Lila ever while Marinette had other ideas told them to spy on Lila but record one of her lies they agreed.

In a few minutes class has started hours later after Lila had interrupted the class the couple times its starting to annoy Caline a bit for this girl just to interrupt her teaching. But a phone rang it causes Caline to be jolted but glanced only to see Marinette picking up the her phone. "Sorry, can I go out to make a phone call." Marinette said as Caline nodded to her as she got up and collect her stuffs and walked out but continue her classes.

This made the rest of the class curious by this but focus on the teacher. While Marinette went out to the halls and sees who is calling it was ' Qiao Xuyin (乔旭茵) ' as she wonder what does her manger want now. She took a deep breath and accept the call and place it in her ears.

"你想要什么，徐音？(What is it you want, Xuyin?)" Marinette asked in a different language. Then her manager Xuyin informed her that she got a call here in Beijing turns out they want her to sing a song as a comeback as she sigh but decided to do it anyway as she is concern about her fans now. She is known as the Ice Queen of China similar to what Kagami was but as Ice Queen here in Paris along with Felix who is called as Ice King for a reason.

"好吧，我来。 我应该告诉我的父母吗？ 但我什么时候能拿到票？(Alright, I'll do it. Should I inform this to my parents? But also when do I get the tickets?)" Marinette answered as her manager had already prepare a limo for her to get picked and be on the way to the airport to her private jet.

Marinette has another question to ask her manager so she said it like this, "是的，很好。 但让我在去的路上装点灯。 至于演出，这是要在现场吗？(Yes that's fine. But let me pack something light on the way there. As for the performance is this gonna be on live?)" as she spoken in a calm way then her manager said yes but in international so that everyone will be watching her perform which took a surprised on her.

But before she hangs up her manager had applied her to a school in Beijing that is called Qingdao International Academy of Arts. She has a feeling that she will meet some of her fans there as she remembered some of them attend to that academy which is gonna be hectic. "为什么是现在？ 因为我在巴黎有学校。 但现在我想，它缺乏很多。 我会通知爸爸妈妈关于青岛国际艺术学院. 我很确定那个学院有宿舍。(Why now? Cause I have school here in Paris. But its lacking alot now that I think about. I will inform mom and dad on Qingdao International Academy of Arts. I'm pretty sure that academy has dormitories.)" Marinette said while her manager was informed by her mother about the school she attends which is not good for her career as a singer, actress, and fashion designer.

As Marinette came back to her class just to inform her teacher that her manager had withdraw her from this school to another school in China. She open the door that made the class to look as Marinette walked in her phone with Caline with concern look. But still has her phone on her ears, "是的，是的。 我明白了，徐音。 我再打给你。 我会通知我的老师，你将把我从这所学校退到青岛国际艺术学院。(Yes, yes. I understand, Xuyin. I'll call you back. I will inform my teacher that you will be withdrawing me out of this school to Qingdao International Academy of Arts instead.)" She said that surprised Chloe, Kim, Alix, Nino, Nathaniel, and Adrien which he and Chloe clearly understand what Marinette just said just now.

While Caline and the others were confused on what she just said but Caline had a feeling its Chinese. Adrien was shock to hear that academy name that is impossible to enter but now curious of how Marinette was able to join in unlike him he might have to ask his father about that. If Maribug is going to a different school than I will tell daddy to let me to go to that academy. Its a good thing Madam Cheng taught me Chinese. Chloe thought.

"Yes Marinette?" Caline asked. "My manager inform me that she is withdrawing me from this school to an academy in Beijing." Marinette told her as Caline jaw dropped immediately then if Marinette is leaving she will put Lila as a Class Representative here it might be a good used. "Alright then, Marinette." Caline said as she accepted then Marinette left.

Leaving Lila to smirk devious but Caline caught that smirk on Lila's face causing her emotions to changed to suspicious on Lila Rossi. Lila is acting suspicious I should find a way to contact her mother though her grades is falling. Caline thought. It also shocked Alya as well but still pissed that Marinette didn't tell her this.

WHAT YOU WISH TO CONSUME IS YOUR FAULT.

You’re sat with your boyfriend, Ross, at the bottom of your deck, shoving on skates.

“You’ve really never skated before?? Lame” Ross looks over his shoulder at you, before his attention goes to tying his skate.

“Nope, never really thought about it.” You mutter, looking over at him, love in your eyes as you see that big smile on his face that he has when he’s doing something he loves, like singing or skating, you often see it.

“Damn, well, there’s always a first for everything. You ready?” He asks, looking over at you struggling to tie the shoe laces.

“Here- let me help.” His hands move yours, basically slapping them away and taking control over tying the shoes.

“Hey!” You fake anger, but before you can fight he’s done, having done it thousands of times.

“Done! Let’s go” He helps you up, you feel his muscular body under the layers of clothes as you lean against him, walking to the rink

“Aaaah!” You almost fall as you try walking with the skates on, but Ross’s hand grips the small of your back.

“Gotcha, don’t worry. Dummy.” He teases and you two walk to the rink.

“Haaaha!” You two reach the rink, and he slips onto the ice in no time, but you stand there, worried about going onto the ice.

He notices you’re not skating by his side, and slides back towards your side.

“Issue?” He asks, and you nod slowly.

“I specified I haven’t skated before.” You say, and he looks at you in disbelief.

“You can’t skate!? Lame.” He states, sighing softly.

“Obviously not!” You snap back, jokingly.

“Come on.” He slides onto the ice and holds his hands out for you to take, which you do, and feel his rings touching your fingers.

“Careful, careful-!” He shouts as you almost slip, but he catches you, of course, he’s always to the rescue.

“I-… sorry!” You say, dismissing his help despite how much it affected you.

“You’re a dumbass!!” He giggles, almost slipping himself as he helps you settle down on your feet.

“I-… oomph!” He blurts out, almost falling but he settles himself quickly, having done it thousands of times before.

“I gotcha, come onnnn!! I’ll teach you.” He drags you further onto the ice. He pulls you into a hug, lifting your skates off the ground and spinning you softly, like a scene in a cheesy romance movie, but you don’t mind it.

“Hahahaha! Let me down!!” You squirm, but his muscular arms have you stuck.

“Fine, fine.” He lets you down reluctantly, giggling softly.

“When you’re skating, and you want to stop, you need to do this, obviously you wouldn’t know this-” He demonstrates, almost getting snow on your pants.

“Oookay?” You try, and slip. He’s quickly at your side, pulling you up with a smile on his face.

“Try again, dummy.” He encourages, and you try again, and manage to do it.

“Oh- y-y/n-” he grabs your attention, wiping snow off your back and ass.

“I slipped, obviously I’m going to have snow on me! I’m fine!” You shrug it off, pushing his hand away from you jokingly.

“I was trying to help, dumbass!” He yells, going to skate laps around you.

“You’re mean.” You reply, watching as he skates around me.

“It’s not like I mean it.” He shrugs, continuing to skate around you, giggling like a maniac.

“Stop! I’m getting dizzy!” You yell, and he stops.

“Can’t have you puking on the rink.” He simply states, as if it’s completely fine.

“You probably love this dumb rink more than me.” You state, moving to skate random patterns, sloppily of course.

“What? Of course not, weirdo.” He replies, as if it’s the most simplest thing ever.

“That’s not true, you’re lyinggggg” you tease, and he shrugs.

“Equal love.” He replies, looking at you before pulling you into a gentle kiss.

Have you always been into Celeb X Reader or RPF fic or is that a more recent thing? I never understood it until I found Pedro fic and it’s like my eyes have been opened

Ahhh my first ask. My heart skipped lmao. Uhm hmm... I actually don't think I read a ton of fanfic at all until Pedro. I read some imagines for Ross Lynch back in the day. Then I read some for Spencer Reid, but not really for MGG. I think I was too scared to let myself do that. I was even nervous to read ones for Spencer because I got too in my head and tried to hide my internal feelings from myself lol. Which worked for a while.

But now here we are... reading (and writing??!) for Pedro and I'm a whole MESS 😂 I felt kind of guilty about RPF at first, reading it even, because "what if he sees and hates me" but the thing is, I doubt I have that shot anyway (sad), and it really just helps me with my own feelings. Which is also why I started writing it. Although I wrote smut for myself as a way to get out some feelings, I don't know if I have the guts to write RPF smut or not and post it. It may just be fluff for RPF. But I know either way, a lot of people judge it, so I try to be as respectful as I can. And if my delusions ever ring true, I hope he wouldn't hate me for it 🙃

TLDR: It's fairly new to me. Admitting your own feelings to yourself is a rough time, but the fics help me out. Although I'm consuming more fics than I ever did before with these Pedro feels.

Natsu Dragneel, Ross Lynch, and my boyfriend all have very similar personalities and mannerisms. So no wonder why I fell in love with them...and then the asshole Bakugou Katsuki appeared in my life.
