Can you please tell us about Rosier triplet reader?

hahaha aaah she was sort of just a vague imagine I'd been playing around with @unstablereader, she's actually been my daydream content to fall asleep to recently.

It actually just started off as a FWB situation, established relationship wolfstar x fem!Rosier [who was in my head a triplet with Evan and Pandora]. But right when the boys were ready to admit they had very much caught feelings and wanted to make her their third, she sort of starts ghosting them? not returning their owls, doesn't show up to places they used to see each other etc.

they finally decide to corner her at a Rosier gala (my imagine was that the parents were sort of retiring from the estate and leaving it in the siblings hands, so it was their 'going away' party sort of thing), and she ends up telling them she's pregnant. that she was trying to figure out how to tell them but ultimately hadn't been brave enough.

the boys are floored, reader is being asked to return to the party for speeches or pictures or something, and she quickly looks back at them like "I'm sorry...this isn't how I imagined telling you. But I want you to know that I don't expect anything from either of you; this isn't what you signed up for."

Sirius runs - not for long but he does this sometimes when things feel too big - remus is left stewing. eventually of course Sirius comes back and begs remus for forgiveness for abandoning him when he needed him, and they agree to approach reader [and apologize to her, too]. Turns out reader hadn't told anyone else she was pregnant either. she wanted to tell them first, and then once she had, she wanted to know where they stood before she had to explain to everyone

one day pandora shows up at Wolfstar's flat - they find it odd (she's never come to visit before) but let her in. she asks what they plan to do re: her sister, they assure Pandora they are with her all the way and are excited. she seems pleased and stands to leave, pausing to say "though, I should have you know, I do have two other men lined up and willing to father a Rosier baby should the two of you fail to pull through for them (them = sister and baby)"

and then funny stuff was going to happen after that but idk if I wanna write it so I don't want to give too much away!

Anyways, I briefly mentioned this in the prev ask but, Evan and Pandora are viewed as anomalies to everyone, from the old family purebloods to the average muggle-born that just found out they had magic.

Alright here's some more background info: The Rosier Family is known for being the only family (within the old families) that are not close. I've mentioned that most, if not all, of these old families are very family-oriented, but the Rosiers are not included in that. They are famously known for hating each other, despising each other, trying to kill each other, etc etc and but it never applies to the witches (because wizards don't marry into another family, they typically marry witches who enter his family) who marry into the family. But despite this, their family has a record of consistently having twins, triplets, etc yk what I mean? In every generation. Despite the rates of twins being low in this old society, the Rosiers are having them over and over again. And over and over again, are the twins going at each other viciously.

(You can argue that having a marriage with a Rosier doesn't seem all that pleasant and it's probably not, but also like when the gene kinda starts getting a little smaller and smaller, you kinda HAVE to branch a bit more ykwm plus they have a shit of ton of power through Greece lol so any Rosier marriage is basically like, "Suck it up, buttercup")

Anyways, Evan and Pandora are strange for that reason, they are believably the first set of twins/family that come out, are alike in so certain ways, and genuinely like each other (because anyone could say that the similarity is what makes them hate each other). There is the popular idea of twins being one soul and thus, they are often raised together but everyone has kinda of already made the Rosiers an exception to this idea until Evan and Pandora come along. They are close, extremely so, a little uncomfortable to be around due to their close proximity and is THE representation of how twins are viewed in high pureblood society. Thus, they are a little weird to this old society.

I use life and death as way to kinda of symbolise them. Evan is a personification of death/taking life away (Alastor's nose before he dies, being a Death Eater) and Pandora is the personification of life/creating something (Luna, spells, the Lovegood family she created with Xeno in his final year of Hogwarts in the far back of the green house high off their asses). But both of their personalities are relatively similar. They are both quite charming (a common Rosier trait that is directed to the outside of their family), charismatic, and short-tempered, stubborn, and a bit egotistic.

It's their preferences that sort of diverge, Evan likes the rot, and Pandora likes the moss, Evan likes the abandoned, dead animal on the forest ground and Pandora likes the mushrooms and maggots growing and living from it. But with this, they both work really well together. Evan takes care of things Pandora won't and Pandora takes care of things Evan won't. They fit into each other. They've spent their entire lives together, in the same room, same bed, interlocked in the same seat at the family dinner table, curled together around Regulus in the same corner at the family parties, they breathe the same and die at the same exact time, just on different days with the same last words: "This isn't over."

The sprawling Rosier estate stood majestic under the summer sun, a haven of beauty and history tucked away from prying eyes. The air was filled with the scent of blooming flowers and the sound of birdsong, adding a touch of magic to the already enchanting atmosphere.

Evan Rosier, with his sharp features softened by a rare smile, walked through the garden with a purposeful stride. Beside him, Pandora Rosier, her ethereal beauty accentuated by her long, flowing hair and gentle demeanor, glided with a grace that seemed almost otherworldly. They were heading towards their favorite spot, the gazebo by the lake, where their favorite triplet—You—waited.

You, the youngest by a mere few minutes, always had a special place in their hearts. The bond the three of you shared was unique, forged in the fires of familial love and strengthened by the trials of growing up in the same magical household. As you sat on the gazebo's edge, your feet dangling over the water, you felt a rush of affection seeing them approach.

Evan reached you first, ruffling your hair with a fondness that was rare for him. "Enjoying the view, Y/N?" he asked, his voice carrying a hint of amusement.

You nodded, grinning up at him. "Just waiting for my favorite siblings to join me."

Pandora laughed, a melodic sound that always made you feel at ease. She sat down beside you, her arm slipping around your shoulders in a warm embrace. "We wouldn't miss it for the world," she said softly.

The three of you sat there for a moment, soaking in the serenity of the lake. It was moments like these that made you realize how lucky you were to have such an unbreakable bond with your siblings. Despite the challenges and the pressures that came with being part of the Rosier family, you always had each other.

"Do you remember the first time we came here?" Evan asked suddenly, breaking the silence. His eyes were distant, lost in the memory.

You laughed, the memory coming back vividly. "How could I forget? You dared me to swim across the lake, and I almost drowned."

Pandora shook her head, her expression a mix of amusement and exasperation. "And I had to dive in to save you both because Evan decided he needed to rescue you and ended up struggling himself."

Evan rolled his eyes, though his smile betrayed his amusement. "Hey, I was just trying to be the hero."

You nudged him playfully. "Well, at least we know who the real hero is," you said, looking at Pandora.

She blushed, but her smile was radiant. "It was nothing. I'd do it again in a heartbeat."

The conversation flowed effortlessly, filled with laughter and shared memories. As the sun began to set, casting a golden glow over the lake, Evan produced a small, intricately carved box from his pocket.

"I have something for you both," he said, opening the box to reveal three identical pendants, each bearing the Rosier family crest.

Pandora gasped softly, her eyes shining with emotion. "Evan, these are beautiful."

You reached out to touch one, feeling the cool metal against your fingers. "They're perfect," you said, your voice filled with gratitude.

Evan handed each of you a pendant, his expression serious. "These are enchanted. As long as we wear them, we'll always be connected, no matter where we are."

You put the pendant around your neck, feeling its magic thrumming against your skin. "Thank you, Evan. This means so much."

Pandora leaned in, kissing Evan's cheek. "You're the best brother we could ask for."

He smiled, a rare sight that made your heart swell with affection. "And you two are the best sisters anyone could ever have."

As the last rays of sunlight faded and the first stars began to twinkle in the night sky, the three of you sat there, a trio bound by love, loyalty, and the unbreakable bond of family. No matter what the future held, you knew you would always have each other, and that was more than enough.

Even if the future that was to come was one that could tear any apart any bond breaking all forms of trust you were all certain after what you had been through, the various punishment you had taken for eachother that there was nothing capable of shattering the ever powerful bond you had.

L'épisode commence joyeusement par la vue du cadavre de Cordelia... qui l'a bien cherchée, cette conne. Bref ! Notre Plante Verte est en train de contempler une fleur dehors en pleine nuit OKLM. Parce qu'apparemment, c'est la seule chose à faire pour tuer le temps dans cet endroit. Soudain, elle entend le son d'un piano. Ça doit être un tout un orchestre pour arriver à si bien l'entendre à l'extérieur, alors que la salle se trouve dans un immense manoir. On reparlera de l'isolation des murs plus tard ~ La blonde suit facilement le son pour voir Fedora-chan jouer du piano avec son sourire à la con. Se prenant pour une enquêtrice de Les Experts, elle pose sa question avec le moins de renseignements que possible: connaîtrait-il une très belle femme avec une robe violette (tu es daltonienne, Yui ?? Car sa robe est noire ! En tout cas, je la vois comme ça !) et de longs cheveux. Yui, tu es consciente que des tas de femmes doivent être passées dans les bras de ce pervers ? Par je ne sais quel miracle, il a su faire un immense tri parmi les centaines de milliers de femmes à qui il a "offert son amour" et il fait la moue. Mais comme cet anime est champion dans la catégorie de non-assistance aux personnes en danger, ils vont passer leur chemin en se disant que c'est sans doute un film de cul sur le cinéma maison. Breeeeef ! Ce dernier est bien plus préoccupé par le fait que sa chemise soit trempée du sang de sa mère et il lèche le sang sur sa main comme si c'était de la simple confiture en étant presque en extase car c'est sucré. Bah oui ! C'est mieux le sang de maman que son lait, non ? Se chiant presque dessus, elle se barre à l'étage. Tu imaginais quoi en traitant tes enfants de la sorte, connasse ?? Il fallait le dire ! Vint ensuite le p'tit con qui passait par là avec un chandelier. Ce dernier semble se foutre royalement de voir sa mère couverte de sang dans un rosier avec le bide et la poitrine troués, et lui demande si elle est morte (nous sommes toujours en attente de sa réponse). Il la brûle ensuite pour la "réchauffer" avant de rire sadiquement. Après avoir entendu toute la confession des triplets, la blondasse se barre en courant dans le jardin avant de trébucher et de dire qu'elle n'en peut plus de cet endroit. Tsundere Simulator nous enlève les mots de la bouche en disant qu'elle aurait dû foutre le camp quand elle en avait l'occasion. Et... la blonde lui demande s'il est au courant que ce qu'Ayato & cie ont fait à leur mère avant de demander pourquoi il lui a filé le couteau. Il s'en bat les steaks avant de se défouler sur les roses. Question de mieux le faire chier, Yui lui demande si la femme qu'elle avait vue dans la tour était sa mère. Subaru le prend évidemment mal et la tire contre lui avant de la mordre. Il tombe aussi sous le charme d'un sang aussi sucré et la mord de nouveau avant de lui dire qu'il lui a donné le couteau afin qu'elle le bute si l'envie lui prend... sinon elle devra se buter elle-même avec le couteau. Après une séance de morsures avec Tsundere Simulator, Plante Verte tente de trouver le sommeil dans sa chambre et Oréo-sama s'incruste pour la coller. Peut-être l'a-t-il pris pour un body pillow ?

Me and @unstablereader have also in one of our many daydreams imagined poly!wolfstar x rosier!triplet reader who had a kid and by the time the kid goes to hogwarts, regulus shows up (best uncle) as a new professor only to find that barty and Evan have done the same (neither of them said anything to ANY of them) and they’re all standing there staring at each other like that spider man meme only for Pandora to go floating by gracing them with a simple “hello boys” and then Remus show up like “you all DO know I work here, right?”

No but I’m so down for marauders as professors it would be terrifically chaotic

OLIVER YVES ROSIER // 24 // HALF-BLOOD (SECRET)

Youngest of four Rosier children. Evan is the oldest (28-30). Followed by twins, boy/girl, (25) only 4 months older than Oliver (24). They often get mistaken as triplets to those who don’t know the story. 

While him being the result of an affair is no secret, his blood status has been hidden from him and everyone since his birth. He never knew his biological mother and the wife of his father never really accepted him as her own. But he was raised amongst his siblings, which caused quite a bit of tension in the Rosier household.

 Didn’t even have to try very hard to be the family disappointment, but his lack of ambition gets him top marks in that category.

 Cradled in violence, true pain comes from not knowing who he really is, the blood that falls is simply just fun competition between two brothers.

But one does not search for answers, for truth, not when being a Rosier means everything to him. 

Cigarettes and champagne through split lips, tying ties with bruised knuckles. The youngest Rosier talks a lot, (too much), is addicted to self-destruction, and has an unwavering loyalty to his family.

Redox 0x01

Introductory session

…and here we go! All excited. A first calendar entry to describe my attempt on ARM64 support in Redox OS. Specifically, looking into the Raspberry Pi2/3(B)/3+ (all of them having a Cortex-A53 ARMv8 64-bit microprocessor, although for all my experiments I am going to use the Raspberry Pi 3(B)).

Yesterday, I had my first meeting in Cambridge with @microcolonel! Very very inspiring, got many ideas and motivation. He reminded me that the first and most important thing I fell in love with Open Source is its people :)

Discussion Points

Everything started with a personal introduction, background and motivation reasons that we both participate in this project. It’s very important to note that we don’t want it to be a one-off thing but definitely the start of a longer support and experimentation with OS support and ARM.

Redox boot flow on AArch64

Some of the points discussed:

* boot * debug * MMU setup * TLS * syscalls `</pre> The current work by @microcolonel, is happening on the realms of `qemu-system-aarch64` platform. But what should I need to put my attention, when porting to the Rpi3? Here are some importants bits: <pre>`[ ] Typical AArch64 exception level transitions post reset: EL3 -> EL2 -> EL1 [x] Setting up a buildable u-boot (preferably the u-boot mainline) for RPi3 [ ] Setting up a BOOTP/TFTP server on the same subnet as the RPi3 [ ] Packaging the redox kernel binary as a (fake) Linux binary using u-boot's mkimage tool [ ] Obtaining an FDT blob for the RPi3 (Linux's DTB can be used for this). In hindsight, u-boot might be able to provide this too (u-boot's own generated ) [ ] Serving the packaged redox kernel binary as well as the FDT blob to u-boot via BOOT/TFTP [x] Statically expressing a suitable PL011 UART's physical base address within Redox as an initial debug console `</pre> Note: I’ve already completed (as shown) two important steps, which I am going to describe on my next blog post (to keep you excited ;-) **Challenges with recursive paging for AArch64** @microcolonel is very fond of recursive paging. He seems to succesfully to make it work on qemu and it seems that it may be possible in sillicon as well. This is for 48-bit Virtual Addresses with 4 levels of translation. As AArch64 has separate descriptors for page tables and pages which means that in order for recursive paging to work there must not be any disjoint bitfields in the two descriptor types. This is the case today but it is not clear if this will remain in the future. The problem is that if recursive paging doesn’t work on the physical implementation that may time much longer than expected to port for the RPi3. Another point, is that as opposed to x86_64, AArch6 has a separate translation scheme for user-space and kernel space. So while x86_64 has a single cr3 register containing the base address of the trnslation tables, AArch64 has two registers, ttbr_el0 for user-space and ttbr_el1 for the kernel. In this realm, there has been @microcolonel’s work to extend the paging schemes in Redox to cope with this. **TLS, Syscalls and Device Drivers** The Redox kernel’s reliance on Rust’s #[thread_local] attribute results in llvm generating references to the tpidr_el0 register. On AArch64 tpidr_el0 is supposed to contain the user-space TLS region’s base address. This is separate from tpidr_el1 which is supposted to contain the kernel-space TLS region’s base address. To fix this, @microcolonel has modified llvm such that the use of a ‘kernel’ code-model and an aarch64-unknown-redox target results in the emission og tpidr_el1. TLS support is underway at present. **Device drivers and FDT** For the device driver operation using fdt it’s very important to note the following: <pre>`* It will be important to create a registry of all the device drivers present * All device drivers will need to implement a trait that requires publishing of a device-tree compatible string property * As such, init code can then match the compatible string with the tree of nodes in the device tree in order to match drivers to their respective data elements in the tree `</pre> ** ** **Availability of @microcolonel’s code base** As he still expects his employer’s open source contribution approval there are still many steps to be done to port Redox OS. The structure of the code to be published was also discussed. At present @microcolonel’s work is a set of patches to the following repositories: <pre>`* Top level redox checkout (build glue etc) * Redox kernel submodule (core AArch64 support) * Redox syscall's submodule (AArch64 syscall support) * Redox's rust submodule (TLS support, redox toolchain triplet support) `</pre> Possible ways to manage the publishing of this code were also discussed. One way is to create AArch64 branches for all of the above and push them out to the redox github. (to be filled with a whole list of the current x86_64 features) `</pre> _Attaining feature parity would be the first concrete milestone for the AArch64 port as a whole._ **My next steps** As a result of the discussion and mentoring, the following steps were decided for the future: <pre>`[x] Get to a point where u-boot can be built from source and installed on the RPi3 [x] Figure out the UART base and verify that the UART's data register can be written to from the u-boot CLI (which should provoke an immediate appearance of characters on the CLI) [ ] Setup a flow using BOOTP/DHCP and u-boot that allows Redox kernels and DTBs to be sent to u-boot over ethernet [ ] Once microcolonel's code has been published, start by hacking in the UART base address and a DTB blob [ ] Aim to reach kstart with println output up and running. `</pre> **Next steps for @microcolonel** <pre>`[ ] Complete TLS support [ ] Get Board and CPU identification + display going via DTB probes [ ] Verify kstart entry on silicon. microcolonel means to use the Lemaker Hikey620 Linaro 96Board for this. It's a Cortex-A53 based board just like the RPi3. The idea is to quickly check if recursive paging on silicon is OK. This can make wizofe's like a lot rosier. :) [ ] Make the UART base address retrieval dynamic via DTB (as opposed to the static fixed address used at present which isn't portable) [ ] Get init invocation from kmain going [ ] Implement necessary device driver identification traits and registry [ ] Implement GIC and timer drivers (Red Flag for RPi3 here, as it has no implementation of GIC but rather a closed propietary approach) [ ] Focus on user-land bring-up `</pre> **Future work** If we could pick up the most important plan for the future of Redox that would be a roadmap! Some of the critical items that should be discussed: <pre>`* Suitable tests and Continuous integration (perhaps with Jenkins) * A pathway to run Linux applications under Redox. FreeBSD's linuxulator (system call translator) would be one way to do this. This would make complex applications such as firefox etc usable until native solutions become available in the longer term. * Self hosted development. Having redox bootable on a couple of popular laptops with a focus on featurefulness will go a great way in terms of perception. System76 dual boot with Pop_OS! ? ;) * A strategy to support hardware assisted virtualization.
