Story of Aristen Rosegrove

Inspired by @judasiskariot who created a full description of her Tav - Saulus, I decided to create something similar to Aristen with screenshots to make the story more "credible". 💜.

Personality:

~ Redeemed Dark Urge ~ Aristen is very nice and always tries to be very empathic and looks for something more in people than others. ~ Ari is very open to the world and new experiences. ~ She has a great sense of humor. ~ Aristen is very devoted to the people she loves. ~ As a child, she grew up in an elven village, so she appreciates nature very much. ~ Ari has a lot of knowledge about the world. ~ She can be bold and sassy sometimes. ~ Aristen is a bit naive when it comes to love matters. ~ She is strongly guided by feelings and emotions. ~ Ari often hides her emotions, only opens up to the closest people. ~ When she gets angry, she has no control over her magic. ~ Loves cats, likes how mysterious and beautiful these animals can be. ~ Hates her true origin and she constantly worries and thinks about that what she did when she was under Bhaal's influence. She hates herself for being Bhaalspawn and considers herself a monster. She tries to atone for all her sins by helping others. The person she hates the most in the world is herself. ~ Sometimes Aristen has bad days, she cries, thinks she shouldn't have been born and thinks she's a bad seed because of her past.

Early years of life:

Aristen was born directly from the God of Murder. When father created her, he wanted her not to be an ordinary Bhaalspawn. She was supposed to be an immortal, eternally young demigod. Her appearance was supposed to be the opposite of her destiny. Beautiful and delicate beauty, bright blue-turquoise eyes, light blonde hair. Her look was supposed to attract and inspire trust. Could an elf who looked like an innocent angel be a bloody murderer? And so it happened - Aristen was born, for now as a storm sorcery elven baby. Bhaal wanted her to be very high in the hierarchy when she grew up, but the attack on the temple by unknown perpetrators thwarted these plans. During the raid, an elven infant was found with a white, decorative scarf with the word "Aristen"  written in blood on it.

The child was placed in the elves’ village in the stepfamily of wood elves called Rosegrove. Only her mother, father and grandmother knew that she might be Bhaal's child and they decided that they will do their best to save Aristen from her destiny. Aristen developed her magical skills and she did not show any murderous symptoms, on the contrary, she showed great empathy and kindness. Ari had a great relationship with her stepfamily and was much-loved in the village. However, everything changed when she was 25. A very handsome and gallant half-elf Elwyn came to their village. Aristen very quickly fell in love with him - she thought it was mutual.

Despite the huge protest of her adoptive family, she went with her lover to Baldur's Gate. When the pair reached the city, it turned out that Elwyn was just a mercenary hired by the Bhaal's cult and his only task was to bring Aristen to the temple of the God of Murder. And so Aristen, who was betrayed by her beloved one lost control of herself, became a bloodthirsty killing machine and a puppet of her real father.

A new beginning (in-game events):

Being a Bhaal's doll could have lasted for ages if not a certain incident. One day Aristen was kidnapped by a Mind Flayer's ship. She was infected with their tadpole and lost her memory. Luckily for her, there was a plane crash, which she miraculously survived and managed to escape. Now she had a new goal - to get rid of the tadpole and find out who she is. During her journey she learned the truth about her murderous origins. But she wasn't alone in this. Aristen met some loyal friends: Gale (a human wizard who was harmed by the goddess of magic, Mystra), Karlach (tiefling who, like Ari, was betrayed by the person she trusted), Lae'zel (githyanki who was deceived by her queen), Shadowheart (a priestess of Shar who rejected her goddess), Wyll (human Warlock who sacrificed a lot to save others), Halsin (an elf druid who likes to carve ducks from wood), Jaheira (half elf and High Harper) and Minsc (Jaheira's friend who considers his hamster to be his mentor). And even though everyone supported her, Aristen felt that they didn't fully understand her, they don't know what it means to be someone's puppet. Except for one person who had similar sins as her. A men who has been a plaything for the powerful vampire for over 200 years. That toy was Astarion, high elf, vampire spawn. At first, Aristen had mixed feelings towards him, but later she realized that they were two of a kind. He was the only one who truly understood her dark urge and he truly was not afraid of her. They fell in love with each other.

One night the urge to kill become strong and Aristen had mighty desire to kill Astarion. Resisting her whisperings, she decided to do everything to save him. Aristen woke him up and asked him to tie her up. She felt that after such an incident the vampire would break up with her. Who would want a partner who could kill you in the middle of the night ? But no, Astarion didn't break up with her, he was with her all night, watching over her. He wasn't even mad at her. He didn't see her as a monster, but only as a normal person who had been wronged by fate - she saw him the same way. Thanks to Astarion, everything became easier and impossible things became possible.

While looking for salvation for herself and her companions, it turned out that she was the one who came up with the whole idea of ​​culting the Absolute. This broke her, she felt that her friends blame her for this whole situation. Only one person thanked her - Astarion. Thanks to all this confusion, he separated himself from his master Cazador and had free will. Aristen then believed that they were meant to be together, this strange chain of events was not caused by chance. There must have been some higher powers involved here. She also decided that she had to fix everything - destroy the cult of the Absolute and try to free herself from her murderous father. And so it happened - the cult was destroyed and Aristen, with the help of the god Jergal, cuts herself off from Bhaal and the dark urge. The tadpoles in the heads disappeared, she, her friends and the Baldur's Gate were safe. Aristen with her companions even killed Cazador, so Astarion no longer had to fear his master. Aristen and her lover began to live on their own terms.

Post-game events:

After defeating Nestor's Brain Aristen started to help rebuild Baldur's Gate - unfortunately - the city was badly damaged. In return, the city authorities gave her and Astarion a small apartment in the Lower City. This made her very happy, she could finally experience a normal life. She also began searching for information about artifacts that would help protect Astarion from the sun - this became her main goal. The news that she and her friends had saved Baldur's Gate quickly spread beyond the city. And so one day a wood elf knocked on her apartment. He seemed familiar to her, but she didn't know where she knew him from. He knew her name and seemed to know her very well. He gave her a Noblestalk potion and suggested that she drink it and it would help her remember some things from her past. The potion could have been poison and this elf could have had evil intentions. But Aristen felt that he was someone very important to her and agreed to drink the medicine. She regained partial memories - both bad and good. Suddenly she remembered where she grew up and her stepfamily. She realized that the elf who visited her is her stepfather.

She agreed to go with him to the village where she grew up. And together with Astarion they set out on a new journey. After reaching the village, everyone was very happy for her return. She was afraid that they would treat her like a monster, like a leper. But no, she was surrounded by care and love. To make Aristen remember all earlier life, she was subjected to a special trance made by her grandmother. After that she remembered everything, the funny situations with her sister, making flower wreaths with her mother, walks in the forest with her father and practicing magic with her grandmother.

She also remembered the man who contributed to all her tragedy - Elwyn. She remembered how he feigned love for her and he did it all of his own free will for financial gain. She hated this man in few seconds.

Aristen and Astarion stayed in the village for a while and moved on to find a way to protect Astarion from the sun. They also had a new companion, Fiona (Aristen's younger sister) who wanted to see some of the world. To have money for the trip, the three of them took various jobs. Sometimes they were mercenaries, sometimes they were doing small jobs or hunting bandits. Fiona also performed in inns, as she was a bard.

After a long time and reading dozens of old books and scrolls, Aristen, in an old, forgotten temple in the middle of nowhere, found an enchanted pendant that allowed Astarion to enjoy the sun again after many years. However, all three of them continued their traveling lifestyle.

One night Aristen and Astarion were lying on the grass and watching the stars. Then Ari suggested to her beloved one that they maybe return permanently to Baldur's Gate and start a simple, city life. He agreed and asked if she would become his wife. Aristen was surprised, despite spending so many years by Astarion's side, she was afraid that one day he would leave her. She still considered herself a monster, even though she had cut herself off from her father many years ago. Aristen was always afraid that she would somehow become a bloodthirsty murderer again. And Astarion could have almost any woman - she had seen more than once how lustfully ladies looked at him. But he chose her and wants to be with her forever.

The wedding took place in her native village. Her entire family and friends celebrated one of the most beautiful days of her life.

After their honeymoon, they returned permanently to Baldur's Gate. Fiona also settled in the city, where she began to develop her bardic career. Astarion and Aristen continued to work as a mercenary and as the bandit hunters in the city and surrounding areas. Over time, Astarion founded his own tailor shop (yes, I always saw him as a tailor :D).

What the future will bring for them? Who knows, after all, they have eternity ahead of them...

P.S. now her name is Aristen Rosegrove-Ancunín <3.

TWST does not care about verbs/nouns/gender when it comes to names, I'm only going to do 1 'gender neutral' name (in theory), in twst fashion. For instance, a boy has an equal chance of being named Sarah, Kart, or John and vice-versa for a girl. I'll be using a randomizer for the gender and number of children, you can decide on what gender the baby is (unless you comment which character(s) you'd like to know.)

🌹Heartslabyul

🌹 Ace - Stariya nn: Ari

If Thorn's eyes just so happen to match the name (starry) that's between Ace and himself. I just made up the name ^ ace/star are like synonyms.

🌹Deuce - Dawner

Dylla, Deuce, might as well have another 'D' name. I tried to make dawn sound more unique. Dawn represents 'new beginnings' since Deuce would want to leave that rebel past behind and step up to father a bag of flour.

🌹 Trey - Blithe

Trey and Blithe are both word names where I feel they're both so in use they don't conjure up an image. Blithe means happy/joyful. When scrolling through baby name websites I did see 'Almond and 'Nachos' listed, I need you to know this.

🌹 Cater - Dice nn: Icy

When making this I realized the characters aren't exactly named after games, sorry Uno, Scrabble, and Yahtzee - but parts of it, so Dice.

🌹 Riddle - Bridge

The card game bridge, he so would, but also a reference of Um from Umbridge. 'Rule' was listed as a baby name I--

🐾 Leona - Folasade nn: Sade

(Based off my fav singer Sade ♡) I think Leona would like the meaning 'honor earns a crown; rule with nobility'

🐾 Ruggie - Junior

Thorn and Ruggie could not agree on a name - no the baby isn't Thorn jr or Ruggie jr, they're just Junior. Ruggie's name is a joke about his rugged life right? If he was based on a carpet his child could be Matti.

🐾 Jack - Gabrielle nn: Brielle/Gibby

Jack is one of few characters that has a common/average name - the child will need this stability in a place like twst! He's also a serious guy so it would be impossible to get him to agree on any name trends like alternate spellings/locations/words etc. Thorn finds a loophole with nicknames.

🌊 Octavinelle

Azul - Seren and Perle

I changed the spelling of 'pearl' and I keep debating if I should have or not. Seren is pretty close to siren, these names sound mermaid-y.

Jade - Nori

From the character Nori in Barbie Mermaidia, I think it means seaweed. Jade was nice enough to let Thorn pick out the name, and Thorn went for the first fictional mermaid that came to mind.

Floyd - Nike

Names from sneaker brands you could use as baby names and no on would know: Nike, Chuck, Chelsea, Taylor, Jordan, Mary Jane, Croc, etc.

💜 Vil - Liesel, Eden, and Hansl

I don't think Vil would be one of those celebrities parents that have all their children have the same initial, unique spellings, or invent names, or maybe he would? You know what? Having a common name would be a celeb niche in twst, he did not beat those allegations.

💜 Rook - Giselle

Is Rook French? bc I feel like he just uses French bc its trendy - he'd still pick a French/French influenced name though. Giselle is from the ballet 'Gisele' its romantic/dramatic/dark (quite sad really.)

💜 Epel - Ruby, Opal, and Jona

Part 2 of names from apples you could use and nobody would know: Crispin, Jonathan, Gala, Ruby, Opal, Ambrosia, Autumn, Rose, Granny, etc. When I realized I could make all their names 4 letters I had to take that opportunity.

🦜 Scarabia

🦜 Kalim - Salim

Derived from the Arabic expression 'salima' which points to something 'safe' and 'sound' Salim means peaceful/safe.

🦜 Jamil - Rana

Rana has so many meanings from around the world, in Arabic it means 'eye-catching' or 'beautiful' and in Sanksrit it means 'king/nobility'

🦋 Ignihyde

Idia - Raiden, Kaeya, Haruhi

There's no way Idia isn't naming his kids, real or not, after his fav characters. I settled on these names bc I was tired of thinking 😭he's a gamer and otaku and I could not think of anything niche or any deep cuts, they're all from Genshin Impact or OHSHC, lets face it, Idia wouldn't like the mainstream anything. Thorn was just trying to save these kids from a 'Bakugou Johnson' situation.

🍵 Diasominia

Malleus - Maenight and Twillian

(I invented these names part 2) Maenight is meadow + midnight bc no child of Malleus is mid 😤 and Twillian is twilight + lillian. Both kids are named after their parents initial and hobby: nature/night walks

Lilia - Garnet and Dove

Lilia has interesting naming conventions (Silver), so I tried to apply that here. Let's say child one has his eyes, so garnet, and child two has a calm demeanor, so dove.

Sebek - Amoret and Evermore nn: Ami and Ever

Sebek and Thorn have a book club so they'd pick literary names. Amoret is a character from the epic poem 'The Faerie Queene' by Edmund Spenser, and I think Sebek would like it. Evermore is from 'The Raven' a narrative poem by Edgar Allen Poe (there's a raven character that repeats evermore/nevermore) BUT if thats too dark there's also the Taylor Swift song 'Evermore' (which I feel has inspiration from 'The Raven')

Silver - Aurelia

Aurelia means gold, but I was trying to have Thorn and Silver apply their own meanings, aurora + starlight = aurelia. (Named after how their parents' eye colors are described)

Neige - Chanson nn: Channing

'Chason' is the French word for 'song'. And if there's one thing disney princesses do is sing (also how Neige and Thorn met.)

Che'nya - Artemis-Alchemis nn: Emi

Che'nya's name is either written as Alchemi Alchemivich Pinka or Artemi Artemiyevich Pinker - as a nod to this naming convention you get the best of both worlds!

Rollo - Genesis nn: Gene/Genie

(C'mon it was right there! Okay I'll stop-- but ya this name is like an upscale Hope/Faith/new beginngings)

Skully - Noa and Iona

The way this man probably would have done a 'Jack and Spare Jack'

Thorn convinces him to just use the letters from 'Jack Skellington.' You can get a lot of names out of that ^ : Stella, Jackie, Jace, Ione, Ellis, Cat, Jane, etc.

I know astrology if your passion and I have a question for you (you can of course ignore this, if you don't feel like answering):

I wonder, based on astrology, how many differencies and similarities are there between Hashirama and Naruto? They are both Libra, however Naruto is born on the 10th of October and Hashirama at the very end, 23rd of October (and if I remember correctly from what one of my friends (who loved atrology) used to say -> there is actually a difference depending on in which part of the "cycle" of each astrology sign you're born in, am I right?)

It was suppose to be a short answer and here I am with an unnecessary long post 😅. Well I'm not a great specialist in degree but I think that's what your friend was talking about. The zodiac is a 360° degree circle divided in 12 signs of 30° degrees each. And each degree is also associated with some characteristic that I don't know in details but just the broad definition. So basically someone born 0° Libra which means in the very beginning of the sign between 22/23 of September expresses its sign in its purity with the strong quality and the strong flaw. I bit like a baby just born and don't know how to balance those energies. If you born around 15° degree, it is said the Libra energy are expressed in a more mature way, and around 29° in the very end of the sign it's not the brightest expression of Libra a bit like a senile version, which make sense because the sun is moving to the next sign which is Scorpio.

So based on canon and let's assume the solar system in Naruto is like ours, being born the 10th of October is 17° Libra. An other thing you can take into account we know Naruto is born a full moon. Which makes him automatically moon in aries.

Roughly it will look like something like this :

And It's pretty much accurate to Naruto's character. He is this very spontaneous and energetic that is more obvious when he is younger (moon/emotion is more important in childhood). In Part 1 Naruto is so hyperactive and has a low tolerance to frustration. But when growing up, he expresses more and more his ego which is sun in Libra, he is the peacemaker, always privileging the talk no jutsu to his opponent, trying to understand their point of view and giving fake promises like a real politician (I'm not at all sensitive to this side of him but generally that's how the storyline describes him, and why fandom likes him)

Hashirama born the 23rd of October makes him 29° Libra. He might be born in the morning ( because in the evening he will be 0° Scorpio). Being born in a cusp (meaning between two signs) generally means he will got influence from both energies.

We can tell that comparing to Naruto, Hashirama's talk no jutsu is often less effective and fall flat. During the first 5 kages meeting he shows himself as too much febrile to convey his message, he lacks this presence, this natural authority that I think he admires in Madara and Tobirama. He also failed to convince the army during the 4th war, while Naruto can just share his authentic emotion through kyubi's chakra and brings people together. I also feel that his passive attitude when tensions rose between Tobirama and Madara is a product of its Libra's difficulty to please both side. He wants to find a common ground between his brother, his best friend and his hokage's obligation while the situation asks him to be firm. Like Naruto he truly wants to find peace but it's not always understand by others as he wishes. His communication is less fluid than Naruto.

However in being a weak Libra, Hashirama is seen to show intense Scorpio vibes. Scorpio is about correcting the previous sign. It cuts in the flesh where Libra is hesitating. It's evolving through pains and darkest turmoils when Libra is looking for harmony and avoid conflict. Hashirama clearly sways between those two poles. And everytime he uses this side of him he is, in my opinion more effective and successful. It could be a childish manipulation when he pretends to be sad to win a run, it's also being ready to die to prove his honesty (there is something very scorpionic in willing to die to prove a cause), it could be also his sudden intense gaze. Just agitating his chakra is enough to break the will of his stubborn little brother. But his strongest argument will always be his awful strong chakra. Notice that as soon as he gave order as a shinobi leader everyone obeys him without discussion. Nobody wants to argues with a Mokuton user unless you are as monstrous as Madara. His charisma is obvious as soon as he is into action, but in a more civilian life he is not "living up to his legend" as Suigetsu said.

An other quality from the Scorpio side, he is also mentally more cunning than Naruto. He can read people feeling and act accordingly to reach his objective. He can also pass for super nice and super scary when needed. His monologue with Sasuke was a great example. Unstead of playing it in a typical Naruto way : I hear you but, it's gonna be alright if you believe it! He plays both diplomacy and dark truth by giving exactly what Sasuke need to hear, admitting his wrongdoing but still justify them because it was for a great cause. This makes him a very intuitive strategist. Later he uses Sasuke to play with Madara's compassion knowing very well that it was suicidal move. So there is this inflexible side of Hashirama ready to sacrifice people to win a war. And I think this side is often not obvious first because scorpio's energy works in the secrecy and also he is still a Libra first and that will prevail on his character.

That's all I can say judging by their date of birth. Actually I've started a while ago a headcanon draft of Hashirama birth chart, maybe it's time to finish it to go further. Anyway I love this question that was interesting to explore their degrees and compare them, thank you !😘
