Sooooooooo MBAV x SCREAM (1996)???? Anyone???

Scream 1996 is not only my fav Horror movie but my favorite movie in general. I love this movie it’s great. So why not combine it with a show that I love also! MBAV is definitely not my fav show but it is one I like to make art of.

I actually really like this Au idea… I’m definitely making more art for it. In a weird way it makes sense ya know??

Rory’s the goofy horror buff, Erica’s the sexy bestie, Ethan is also a horror buff but in wayyy more self righteous way, Sarah is uptight and vampires are always a sex allegory so that makes sense that she would be a “prude”, and most fittingly Benny is the goofy overacting friend who goes with wtv his bestie wants just for the lols.

I think I like this AU more than my Descendants AU I dunnoooo. It’s just a lot of fun fr.

I think that it’d be the same plot as Scream 1996 ignoring the other movies because that’s what I’ve been doing my whole life. I know some of the later movies are really good but I decided long ago I’d never watch them so boohoo.

I’m sure if I think about it hard enough I could fit some characters into other AU roles but I’m mostly gonna be doing screenshot redraws of the main 5…

A kinda dull ache but in a nice way

Occasionally, he’ll do it back

Sometimes, he likes to pretend you bit him to the point of turning him just to bite you back

“Ah! I’m wounded!” Benny yelped, clutching the hand that you had gently nipped at. “I can feel the venom coursing through me.”

“Oh, brother.” You rolled your eyes, stifling your laugh as you watched Benny slip off his bed and onto the floor.

“It burns!” He said dramatically, starting to go rigid before going completely limp.

“That’s not how it works, you know?”

Benny ignored you, staying on the floor for a few more seconds before slowly rising to his feet. He faced you with a wide-eyed stare and outreaching arms.

“I vant to drink your blood!” He said in a typical Dracula voice.

“You watch too many movies.” You said with a giggle before Benny pounced on you, biting at any part of you he could.

Rory

Since you’re both vampires, you’re not really scared of just chomping down because it won’t affect you too badly

It quickly becomes a silent way of saying ‘I love you’

Weirds the gang out a little bit when you do it out of nowhere

Sometimes you leave teeth marks, but you and Rory think it’s funny

“Oh my god, Rory, what happened to your arm?” Ethan looked at his blonde friend in slight horror, gaze fixated on his right arm that was covered in faint bite marks.

“Yeah, Rory, who mauled you?” Benny asked, slightly more amused by the sight than Ethan was.

Rory looked down at his arm, as if he had forgotten that you had practically used him like a chew toy yesterday.

“Oh! That was just Y/n.” The blonde said with a shrug. “But if you think this is crazy, just wait until you see them.” Rory laughed. “I got both of their arms and their neck!”

“...excuse me?” Ethan seemed even more disturbed.

“What? It’s how we say ‘I love you!’”

Ethan

Kind of freaks him out at first

Especially if you’re doing it after the Jesse incident

He doesn’t really wanna be a vampire

(at least not right now, but that’s a conversation for later)

He’s okay with love bites when you don’t have your fangs out

You and Ethan were in his room, deeply invested in a video game. He was playing while you sat on his lap and watched. 

You had developed a bit of a habit of biting Ethan. Not too harshly obviously, just a light nibble here and there. But sometimes, when you were distracted, like you were right now, your fangs would show.

Eyes locked on the screen, you shifted slightly in Ethan’s lap to give him a little love bite on the shoulder. But before you could take the bite, the game suddenly paused, and Ethan was giving you a serious look.

“Put them back.” He said, hand on your jaw to keep your mouth from getting closer to him. You gave him a confused look, and he gestured to your fangs.

“Oh.” You quickly retracted your fangs, smiling a now perfectly normal smile. “Better?”

“Much,” Ethan answered, hand dragging down from your jaw to your arm to give it a quick squeeze, as if to say thanks, before returning to the game. You made sure to give him a few love bites before resting your head on his shoulder and watching him play again.

The geek squad, and why MBAV had so much potential

For most of you this show hasn't been in your mind since you were 10-12. But for the ones who have rewatched this show recently, you will totally understand. I couldn't count on my fingers how many times I've seen this show. When I first watched this show I didn't even know there was a movie. Typically coming into shows like this, without context of the movie the show doesn't make sense. In this case, I watched the show 5 times before noticing the movie, yes, the added information of the movie really ties into the show, but it's still watchable without it. My Babysitter's a Vampire had so much potential it actually makes me sad. As far as rewatching it recently, that final episode is brutal without closure. I don't think I'd be able to watch a reboot if that was even a possibility. The original cast has such great chemistry and on top of that there's just the 2000's flare to it.

It sucks to see one of my favorite shows growing up lose everything. The fandom is also so extremely small due to its cancellation. But here's everything this show did right.

Casting, I think every actor incapsulates their characters greatly! They play their roles as 14–15-year-olds great and I think they display the awkward teen-age phase well. Every character is pretty likeable.

Soundtrack, the music directors/music compositors on this show put a lot of detail into their work. And mostly all of the songs were made exactly for this show.

Setting/environment, having the setting the way it is makes the show have such an amazing environment!

Overall, it's a bummer to see a show like this taken for granted. And it's also been taken off of Netflix, so I am especially hurt. I really hope there are still people who enjoy this show!

-Rory’s Clumsy but Endearing Attempts at Teaching you. Rory tries to teach you how to master some of the vampire abilities that he’s still figuring out himself, like flying or hypnotism It often ends in hilarious disasters, like crashing into walls or accidentally hypnotizing the wrong person, but you find his efforts endearing and always end up laughing with him.

-Late-Night Adventures: With your nocturnal nature, Rory and you spend a lot of time together exploring the town at night. You might hang out on rooftops, looking at the stars and talk about your lives before becoming vampires, or you could have fun messing with the local humans in harmless ways, like pretending to be urban legends.

-Despite his goofy demeanor, Rory becomes fiercely protective of you. If anyone threatens you or treats you poorly, he quickly shifts from being the lovable goofball to a surprisingly intimidating force. You often has to calm him down, but you secretly love how much he cares.

-Rory and you often have playful competitions to see who can do something more vampiric, like catching prey faster or flying higher. You tends to win more often, but Rory never gets discouraged and always challenges you to a rematch.

-You get to see Rory’s softer, more vulnerable side. While he’s usually the one making jokes and being silly, with you, he feels comfortable enough to open up about his insecurities and fears about being a vampire. You’re always there to reassure him and remind him that he’s not alone.

I think that Rory, despite his modern-day nerdy personality, has a secret love for the classic, gothic vampire aesthetic. You indulge this by occasionally dressing up in dramatic, old-fashioned vampire attire for fun. You have mini “vampire balls” in secret, complete with candles and eerie music.

-When you and Rory team up, the two of you are practically unstoppable when it comes to pranking your friends or causing light-hearted chaos in the neighborhood. You might even playfully compete with other vampires in the area, forming your own little “vampire duo” against the world.

-Rory’s upbeat attitude is infectious, and you often find yourself feeling more positive when you’re around him. Even though being a vampire has its challenges, Rory always manages to make you smile and see the bright side of your eternal life.

Been thinking a lot recently about Rory not fully understanding that Ethan and Benny where in the explosion and not only would they “be sad they missed it” but that they’d never see another explosion again, or watch another movie or read another comic or hunt another monster.

Thinking about Erica getting tired of listening to him go on and on about how cool it will be when they meet up with the rest of the gang for weeks before she snaps in her own grief over losing her best friend and tells him they’re gone.

Thinking about Erica becoming closed off and going through each day just because she has to, for the rest of eternity. Her feeling guilty about feeding on people because all she can think about is how much Sarah cared for people, her never making a new best friend because they’re not Sarah.

Thinking about Rory realising that he has outlived everyone he ever knew, not because he’s immortal but because by the time he would have been 16 they were all gone. Him being 14 for the rest of eternity and just wanting to see him best friends, just wanting to go home and hug his mum.

Thinking about the dawning realisation of immortality.

this isn’t anything groundbreaking but i have a post-canon hc where benny finds a glamour charm in his spellbook and at first he uses it for dumb stuff like making himself taller or giving ethan the werewolf facial hair again or changing rory’s hair into wacky vibrant colors for fun. he uses the charm to put full glam makeup looks on the girls because “seriously benny you dont get it makeup is SO hard to get perfect when mirrors dont work”

but as he gets older and sees his friends stay the exact same he eventually (w their permission ofc) uses the glamour charm on them when they leave white chapel together, just to make them appear a little older.

(i just am really attached to the idea of serica seeing each other “growing old together” even though they can’t really do that.)

(and the idea of ethan seeing an older version of sarah and feeling an old heartbreak split right open again when he sees a glimpse of a future that the two of them might’ve had if things hadn’t gone the way they did.)

General headcanons:

•Trans female to male (ftm) and definitely grew up catholic. 

•His dad and him dont have a great relationship due to that,the only reason he was able to transition was his mom,which he is very close to and thankful for.

•He went no contact with his dad as he got older.

•A bit of a mommas boy. 

•I think he’s either straight or pan,idk I just get the vibes. 

•Had a crush on Benny at the beginning of their friendship. 

•Listens to fallout boy. 

•YAPPER obviously 

•Obsessed with sour candy and will eat way too much of it till he gets sick. 

•Has the deepest sleep ever and can literally sleep through 13 hours every weekend. 

•No social filter what so ever,doesn’t mask at all. 

•Has a hot wheel collection of cool race cars. 

•Great with kids cause he’s energetic and playful obviously.

•Clingy,texts you every five minutes and follows you around like a lost puppy. 

•Sees anything as a date,from keeping you company at appointments or while running errands to just doing nothing all day,its a date. 

•Worships you and the ground you walk on,that boy is so obsessed with you,sometimes he’ll just stare and ask himself how he pulled you. 

•This might be controversial but I think he’s trans I just see it,and you being his first long term partner gives him SO much gender euphoria,he just adores you. 

•Will not stop talking about you,no matter the topic he finds a reason to bring you into the conversation when talking to Benny or Ethan,which annoys them,a lot.

•Can be forgetful,might forget dates or to include or offer to include you in the groups plans,he does feel incredibly sorry when he notices though. 

•Will offer to turn you into a vampire more than once but is definitely scared to actually bite you cause he doesn’t want to hurt you or scare you. 

•Very stubborn when arguing and will give you the silent treatment,not for long though. 

•You’d routinely watch some paranormal documentary on date nights along with getting pizza. 

•That boy has ADHD and maybe a bit of the tism (same Rory same) so he’s always down for activity dates,I could see him LOVING the fair or an arcade. 

•I feel like his (giving) love languages are gift giving (and he’d go all out with it) and physical touch. 

•Love language wise when it comes to receiving for him,is 100% words of affirmation,compliment or praise him and he’d immediately melt. 

•A bit out of character,maybe a headcanon for when he’s a bit older of course (and confident)but I could see him having lingerie polariod pics of you in his clear phone case,without your face on it cause he doesn’t want to show you of like that,its just a reminder for him. 

•LOVES LOVES LOVES hearing your gossip and is really really invested in it too,if its from your social life or even just pop culture doesn’t matter,that boy will be listening full time. 

•Would definitely take you on night flights to enjoy city lights or you’d people watch through windows so you could gossip.

Favorite pastime is playing games with you

Especially when you’re playing in his room because, more often than not, you’re sitting on his lap

“Y/n, where are you?” Benny asked as he built a house for the two of you.

“I’m on the other side of the hill.”

“Why are you so far away? It’s gonna be dark soon.”

“This side has more flowers.” He looked at your screen, and sure enough, you were picking flowers in a field. “The house has to be pretty.”

“Y/n, I dunno how to make the house look like you.” Benny pinched your side with his teasing and you giggled, squirming around in his lap. He kissed your temple before going in to start putting structures inside the house. “Now get over here before I have to go get you.” 

Reluctantly, you left the field and made your way to the house. Making sure to close the door behind you, you ventured inside and found Benny’s character in the bedroom.

“Aww! You put the beds next to each other.”

You immediately spotted your boyfriend and your friends by your locker when you got to school. Rory seemed to be going off on some tangent, and it must’ve been going on too long because the others looked like they were about to murder him or themselves. To spare your friends, you walked fast to meet them. Rory sensed you before you could speak, turning to look at you with vampire swiftness.

“Y/n!” He looked at you like a puppy who hadn’t seen its owner in hours. When you were close enough, he peppered your face in kisses, much to the group’s disgust.

“Hey, Rory.” You laughed when he eased up on the affection, moving to greet everyone else. “Hey, guys.” They replied with their own greetings while you opened your locker. With each book you took out, Rory immediately took it from you without saying a word. “Rory, baby, you don’t have to.”

“Oh, but I insist, honeybunch.” The warning bell rang, and everyone dispersed. Rory walked you to your first period, something he did every day without fail.

“Okay, you better go. I don’t want you to be late.”

“Don’t worry, sweet thing. That’s what superspeed is for.”

“Superspeed you shouldn’t be using in public.” You took your books from Rory and gave him a kiss to tide him over for the next hour. “See you after class?”

“Always, baby.”

Ethan

Soooo nervous about being around you

Whenever he touched you, he’d get visions of the two of you together

That just made him fall harder for you

Makes flirty remarks based on his powers

“I had a vision we made out” kinda stuff

Memorizes everything about you

He believes every detail is important

Whenever he’s around, don’t even think about paying

Even if he’s broke, he’s paying for your stuff

You and Ethan were in line at some fast food place, all he could afford. You would’ve offered to help pay but knew attempts would be futile. As nice as Ethan was, he was also stubborn. Soon it was your turn to order, and you didn’t even speak, Ethan relaying your regular order perfectly, down to what sauce you wanted. He then let you lead him to whatever booth you wanted.

“You know, I don’t mind paying one of these times.” You commented before taking a sip of your drink. Ethan shook his head, dismissing the thought.

“Y/n, for the thousandth time, it’s fine. I really don’t mind.”

“If you insist.”

“I do.” Your boyfriend grinned, reaching to take your hand. He looked down, watching his thumb rub back and forth over the back of your hand. You saw a slight smirk and knew what was coming. “I just had a vision.”

“Oh really?” You bit back a laugh, flipping your hand over to interlock your fingers. “What happened in this vision of yours?”

“Well, first of all, the food is very delicious.”

“Oh, good.”

“And second, I ask you something very important.” This piqued your interest very much.

“I think you should ask me now.”

“Sorry, babe, I ask you after we get our food.” As if waiting for the cue, your order number was called. Ethan grinned, kissing your hand as he stood from the booth seat. He left, and when he returned with a tray of food, you were impatient.

“Okay, ask me the question. I wanna know.”

“Okay, okay.” Ethan distributed the food between the two of you before looking at you expectantly. “Who gave you the right to be so pretty?”

“Oh my God, Ethan.”
