There's wholesome ships and there's toxic ships, but I'd like to coin 'sodium chloride ships', where the individuals involved are both horrible and dangerous people, but somehow being together renders them surprisingly well-adjusted (if a little salty).

My issue is that I want Ron to completely dominate me and call me the filthiest names but when it comes to ronmione (or is it romione, I really don’t know) I just know that Hermione completely dominates him and lowkey calls him the filthiest names, like I just know

I freaking love Roland Weasley. He's a genius, emphatic, sarcastic person who memorized parseltongue just by hearing it once? Who had to wear hand-me-downs and got a ridiculous outfit for the yule ball (which, bdw, took place in Hogwarts after two hundred years) but still went with it? Who had to live in Harry's shadow but remained his best confident and supported him no matter what? Who remembered to take the house elves out during the war? Who kept the balance in the trio? (the other two were egoistic, remember how in POA they were arguing over the broomstick and in HBP over the validity of the book? If Ron wasn't there, the relationship dynamic among them wouldn't be balanced)

And if you say Hermione settled for less, well get out of my way. I believe in Ronmione supremacy.

Why I prefer Ron/Hermione over other Hermione ships.

Okay Ron and Hermione are each other's puzzle pieces. Whatever Ron lacks Hermione has that and vice versa. And each and every trope associates with them is my favourite. Here some reasons why I prefer them over other Hermione ships.

1. They love each other madly.

The basic and most important requirement in any relationship. Love. And both Ron and Hermione love each other so much that they are willing to sacrifice themselves for each other. Ron begged bellatrix to torture himself instead of Hermione knowing full well she had tortured Neville's parents to insanity. Hermione begged scabior to leave Ron alone when she was in danger.

2. They are dramatic

I know this is a personal taste but I don't like love stories where two people who are very similar fall in love. They are boring as hell. I prefer opposites attract. It's more exciting.

3. They balance each other out

Hermione learns to have fun. Ron helps her to loosen up. She learns to see the other side of life. She helps Ron to be organised and teaches him to pay attention. They are the PERFECT balance.

4. Only Ron isn't intimated by her high intellect.

Ron can call her out when she is out of the line. He actually listens to her and isn't afraid to voice his opinion. When he doesn't agree with her he openly tells her that. And Hermione needs someone like him to keep her grounded.

5. They both have the same status.

See. Ron is a war hero. So is Hermione. Ron is the chosen one’s best friend who helped him to defeat the dark lord. So is Hermione. Ron has his own chocolate frog card which is the greatest achievement of any wizard. So does Hermione. Ron has a respectable family background. So does Hermione. Ron has a good job. So does Hermione. They are totally each other's equal. They won't feel inferior to each other.

6. The different ways they look at the world.

See Ron is a laidback guy. He is a family man. Hermione is a career oriented woman. Hermione needs someone who can cook for her when she will come back from work. Who will take care of kids. Who will support her ambition. And Ron is the PERFECT guy for that.

7. Friendship.

They were friends for years. And friendship is a solid base of a loving, supportive relationship. They spent so much time together without harry. That would help them in a long run..

8. Passionate.

Ron and Hermione both are very passionate people. They both love and hate with every fibre of their being.

9. Argumentative

Ron and Hermione enjoy arguments. Hermione would never be happy with someone who doesn't share her argumentative nature. Same for Ron. They need each other.

10. Hermione likes to be needed and Ron Likes to be taken care of.

Well Hermione likes it when someone is dependant on her. And Ron enjoys someone giving him more attention than others.

11. Shared trauma

They both went through very similar life experiences. That would help them to bond over.

12. They can teach each other new things.

Hermione is a muggleborn. Ron is a pureblood. They can learn so much from each other. He will learn more about the muggle world. She will learn more about the wizarding world. They will teach each other new things everyday. Their relationship would never be boring.

13. Despite being total opposite they have a lot in common.

Their core values are same. Both are brave, courageous, noble, kind hearted, jealous, possessive, passionate, argumnetive, smart in their own way and Ofcourse both value the same thing. Friendship and bravery.
