Isaiah has taken up another hobby! I always add a dance studio and dojo to my saves somewhere. In St. Bernie, I added them above the laundry mat!

Brooks is cleaning house...thank goodness SOMEONE is! And thankfully Ron, the only one with cooking skills is doing the cooking this morning...fingers crossed!

Oh no! Seems there's trouble in the Snooty household!

Korey and Angela have plans for that shower Brooks just spent an hour scrubbing and he is NOT having it, LOL!

Angela has officially announced her pregnancy so I thought I'd check her progress :)

Brooks was still barring them from the bathroom, Korey constantly fights with Isaiah and Angela asked him to move in so I decided he should accept! Flirtatious Korey in a house full of women...nothing can go wrong here... Well good luck you two! I'll be checking in once I get to the Mallory household!

For some reason Lawerence Lum decided to go trick or treating in the wrong season and then spent the rest of the night dressed as a hot dog.

Yep...the rest of the night. I caught up to him when I went to check on Isaiah.

"Fellow Travelers: What inspired you to create the love story between Marcus (Jelani Alladin) and Frankie (Noah J. Ricketts) for the series? Very early on, I decided there would be Black characters in the show and they would be essential to the story, not incidental. While researching life in 1950s Washington, we (my research and writing team) were impressed by the vitality of the Black LGBTQ community, learning about the Cozy Corner and Stormé DeLarverie (Chelsea Russell). We put Stormé into the Cozy. We landed on Marcus as a former lover of Hawk’s and fellow WWII vet. Each man views himself as a “man who fucks men” and neither is comfortable with love. It seemed natural that Marcus and Hawk would connect at the Cozy Corner, where Marcus would meet Frankie, a member of Stormé’s Jewel Box Revue. (Note: Jelani and Noah are incredible singers and Broadway musical stars.) In the 1950s, the “Black press” was thriving. Among the Black reporters who inspired Marcus (in terms of his career, not his sexuality): Alice Dunnigan, the first Black female White House correspondent and Simeon Booker, the first Black reporter for the Washington Post. It was very important to us that Marcus be complicated and flawed. Marcus has a compelling dilemma. He wants to use his writing talent to serve his Black community and he fears that being labelled as LGBTQ will make that impossible. Like Hawk, he likes sex and avoids love. Then he meets Frankie, who can’t so easily hide who he is (the term nonbinary didn’t exist until recently, so we avoided using it). In some ways, Marcus is aligned with Hank (avoiding love) and Frankie is aligned with Tim (“the more loving one”). Matt and Jelani created a terrific backstory about the two of them meeting while recovering from the war, but that story didn’t make it into the final cut."

The next morning was b-e-a utiful! If you haven't guessed by now, Isaiah has the loner trait so at dawn he was off to surf before the beach got crowded.

He stepped into the house and...This time it was Garth who sent their newly decorated kitchen up in flames!!! You guys!!!

Oooh it's the weekend! A good night for the guys to go out on the town, bond and meet new sims! Really!? Really?? The bartenders for the dance club all have mime uniforms!!?? OMG! Why??!!

Woohoo! Dancing the night away! Not surprisingly, Isaiah dipped out early, but the place was packed! It's nearing the end of week three so all of my simmies are really beginning to form bonds and get to know each other. Yay!

Sen. Rick Scott of Florida, who lost a bid for the GOP leadership in the Senate in a secret ballot Wednesday, didn't answer directly when asked if he has confidence in Sen. Mitch McConnell's leadership.

"I support the Republican leadership," he told CNN.

McConnell won the leadership vote 37-10-1 and said at a news conference that he was “pretty proud” of the result.

Scott also defended the decision of the National Republican Senatorial Committee — which he chairs — to not engage in GOP primaries, a decision some McConnell allies believe helped weak candidates emerge. 

“We should trust the voters of the states,” he said.

Asked if he supported former President Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign, Scott said: “I’m not getting involved in the presidential campaigns.”

Speaking to a group of Republican donors in Orlando on Tuesday, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis touted his strength in the suburbs, his rural turnout effort and his appeal with Latino voters just one week after he cruised to victory in his reelection effort.

DeSantis made the pitch in a conversational tone that reflected his good mood after his win last week, according to a person in the room. His remarks came at a time when the Florida Republican is being touted as a potential presidential candidate and a preferable alternative among many in the party to former President Donald Trump.

The group of about 250 people, which included donors to the Republican Governors Association as well as governors and their spouses, gave DeSantis a standing ovation at the end of his conversation with outgoing Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts. The person in the room told CNN that DeSantis walked through in detail where he performed well across the state, including winning the traditionally Democratic Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties.

When asked by Ricketts what he would like to work on with Republican governors, DeSantis said he was looking to take on the growth of so-called environmental, social and governance, or ESG, investment funds as well as improving border security, the person said.

A second person familiar with the speech confirmed that DeSantis did not mention Trump, who later on Tuesday announced he was running for president in 2024.
