On a Hot Summer's Day

It's been a few days since I've filled my queue, but I have a minute between Halloween and multiple children's birthday parties, so I'll do my best!

Brooks, like a good boy, is up bright and early to deliver the newspaper...along with a couple of notifications! Yay!! Another wedding in the works! Unfortunately, I suspect I won't be on rotation for it, but don't worry, as with Redwood Harbor, I plan to take some posed pictures for an album!

Jasmine was up before Shorty of course so she had a little fun before taking care of Ephraim. It's a weekend so everyone is home...well, off of work.

I guess Story Progression didn't take my que when naming the Garrett's new LO. Jill, Joe, Blake?? One of these things is not like the other! Oh well, it's a solid name. And I try to stay away from renaming babies born to SP unless I absolutely need to for keeping my sims straight. I may be alone in this, but my gameplay feels more immersive to me the less I interfere.

With Shorty still asleep and Jasmine again in need of some cheering up, it was time to fulfill at least one small want of hers. Take Ephraim and Brooks for a walk!

It was super cute, but it didn't take long before everyone was all sweaty and miserable. It is summer after all, and I do have my tempest settings set to a sub-tropical climate for St. Bernie!

Oh no! And Ivy is expecting their child too! I really hope this doesn't turn into another weird Korey and Angela situation where Freddie starts hooking up with all of her friends!

Our First St. Bernie Wedding!

Okay, I had planned to share these pictures at the end of the Martinez rotation, however, I still haven't actually stocked up my queue and this takes much less time to organize than an entire day's worth of screenshots...Over explanation below:

[Why you may ask? Well, it is Spooky Season after all and (fun little tid bit) having grown up in an actual haunted house (which at least in my experience is absolutely NOTHING like Hollywood portrays it) I've been in the mood to rewatch some of my favorite Halloween movies. BTW if you happen to have never watched "The Haunting of Hill House" on Netflix, it's an absolute masterpiece. Be aware that if you have any triggers, you may want to check for trigger warnings on it before watching. It will in short leave you haunted. ]

Okay, back to it

Here is Bella and Guy's album! BTW, I'm sorry they are so washed out in some of the outdoor pictures--I forgot to box them in, and this was my inspiration to start looking for ways to spruce up my outdoor lighting mods-- I don't have links for all of the cc right off hand, but if you have questions about any of the outfits or poses you can shoot me a message and I'll look through my mods folder for you :)

Yep, the hide headline cheat apparently didn't get rid of the grouped up icons...facepalm.

Aaaand I am just now realizing that Bella's arm is clipping through the stairs...double facepalm. As always, it's time for a few outtakes!

Hmmm...got to find a way to hide some of those feet melding into the bench. I know it was a hot day, but geesh!

I like to stash the pose player close by. Maybe it was a little too close here!

I unpose the poor sims as I finish with them in photo shoots because they're always pretty miserable by the time I'm done. (don't worry, I use a separate save for photoshoots, so they have not memory, LOL) Maybe I should have waited to unpose Freddie. He was blocked from reaching the bathroom...

I see you Isaiah...Love em and leave em...well at least run off in the morning. Guess you're not getting your pats this morning Kip! I wonder where Isaiah's off to?

OMG! Are you serious!!?? Maybe he was trying to help Lori pay next week's bills LOL!

I am exactly 99% certain that Lori had some waffles cooking before taking off to work...

Yep...Thank goodness for smoke detectors!

Oh no!! With Lori hustling so much all week to pay those bills I knew she wasn't spending much time with Kip, but I didn't know it was this serious!!

This Sim Makes Me so Sad

Welcome to the first of the Redden households. Jasmine Reed lives with her boyfriend, Shorty Redden and son Ephraim. Originally the household had another adult, Lori, but she moved out via SP at the beginning of the playthrough. Both Shorty and Jasmine are in the medical career track, but neither has progressed beyond the entry level.

I kept getting an interaction from the mailbox to return stolen item. I assumed Shorty had stolen thing, but no...

Jasmine!! Really??

Ephraim was down for a nap when they got home from work. They had a few moments to chat before Shorty ran off to a party he'd been invited to at the Lum's.

I almost forgot about the dog! This one I remember the name of because it is Brooks. He was named through SP, but Shorty HATES Brooks Cassidy so I can't help but feel like he named his dog Brooks on purpose as a dig to Brooks the human sim. I have no way around this...Shorty is NOT a very nice Sim and I feel so bad for Jasmine and Ephraim, but Jasmine is devoted to him.

Shortly after Shorty left for the party, she spontaneously began crying about her life! It's so sad. I'm sure she'd love to get out some too, but financially they are on a sinking ship so her entire life consists of work, paying bills and taking care of Ephraim, who still doesn't sleep through the night. I'm going to be honest, she really got to me. She has such a sad Sim life. I'm going to see what I can do to help her out.

Apparently the party at the Lum's was formal.

Shorty is checking on the twins while Teddy cooked.

Interesting...I don't think I'd put these two together, but here we are...

He abandoned the party to play guitar out in the front yard of the Lum's.

Jasmine trying to keep herself occupied while Shorty is still at the party. Does she have anything to worry about? Well, he IS a flirty Sim.

Back with Shorty and um...I think everyone else has gone to bed. Perhaps it's time to go home?

Looks like Ephraim is up just in time for bed. Oh great, who's going to stay up with the baby?

Part Time Job

Tom and Nan enjoyed a little "me" time while the kids were still in bed.

Then it was off to the dance studio for some more practice for Jill. Looks like Isaiah is just leaving the dojo and Pablo already there!

As an over achiever Jill can't stay busy enough...so she got a part time job at the spa!

Joe and Nan had some nice bonding time.

And I discovered the sims couldn't get past the columns I placed in the family center and rather than just use the other exit like an actual person would, they decided to congregate exactly there to tell me what a failure as a builder I am...FACEPALM

But hey, at least Jill improved her ice skating ability

Yay!!! Our first wedding in Isle of St. Bernie!! Oooh...I have to start picking out dresses and such for the photo shoot because I doubt I'll be in either household by the time they tie the knot!

Oh no! A break up too! And loss of a friendship.

Guess I'll just peruse around town because I'm bummed about Gerald and Simili.

And follow Tom to the landromat where he ran into Isaiah.

Looks like Jill has finally tired of running around herself and decided on a nice night in.

Joe was back to cleaning house before turning on his computer games, which he played long into the night.

More Tricks than Treats

Okay, I know I haven't been on here in a several days...life is super hectic as per usual! Anyway, here we are back with Lori for Spooky Day. I found her autonomously digging through her trash and that gave me an idea! What better day to go dumpster diving in the hopes we can find something valuable enough to pay bills!

Also, woohoo! Another wedding is in the works! And another break up it seems as well.

Just a random picture of the neighborhood from Lori's dining room. If you've followed me for a while you know how obsessed I am with looking out of the windows in every world, LOL!

Yes! We can finally afford to pay bills! We've avoided the repo man for one more week at least! I got so into the game that I literally forgot to take pictures of Lori while she dumpster diving at the Sports Bar across town. But that's okay, after all that stinky work, she deserves a little fun.

Time for another date night! Hmm...I wonder who else is at the dance club tonight?

Tom Garrett!! Didn't see that one coming! I wonder if Wanda's going to order whatever Brooks is eating? And Angela must have needed a break from the twins. I have a feeling she hires babysitters a lot!

Oh boy! Not only have the Lum twins aged up, but there's a new little bundle of joy on the way for Simili and Gerald! Gosh I'm hoping it's not another twin situation, with so many babies being born, I don't know how St Bernie will be able to house the next generation!

Oh boy...are these two next?

Isaiah seems to be having more fun than he did on the last date LOL, but Lori wants to ensure she's blowing his mind tonight...

I'd tell them to be careful, but it looks like Lori's already got that in mind...Or maybe Isaiah is really into the full parka look for romance...with these two, who knows? LOL!

Well after that eventful evening we begin day two with a beautiful sunny view of the park and some town news.

Gerald did some collecting once he got up.

OMG! Lawerence must have gotten his drivers license! Yay! Go Lawerence, you were always one of my favorite premade sims!

Lilly and Theodore got vehicles too!

And Simili now wants her boyfriend to write a biography on her! I'll accept, but Gerald is already hard at work on his latest novel so I don't know he'll have time to finish this opportunity before my time with him is done.

Just writing while Freddie is at work.

It's the end of the night, Gerald is off to bed uncharacteristically early and it looks like Freddie is getting on well at work!

Lazy Summer Days

Here we are already at the end of the summer! Remi makes friends with literally everyone she talks to!

Ivy, meanwhile is off work today and reading at the library.

Oooh, we have our first pairing!

Remi spent the day playing games again. Remi, girl! Get painting if you're going to be home! You are in desperate need of that promotion!

Woohoo! another couple of sims have paired off! And I'm playing Gerald's household next so I'll get to send them on a date!

Wow! that is a beautiful painting! Can't wait to see how much these girls have progressed by the next time I come around to their household!

Bring on the Rain

It's fall...or because I use nraas tempest to control my seasons...the beginning of rainy season!

Welcome to our new household, you may recognize Gerald here, who is a writer! He is roommates with Freddie Cox, a mean-spirited sim with criminal aspirations.

Of course I leave the household and immediately the Blue girls get a puppy they can't afford and Remi starts dating Andrew!

Freddie works out and Gerald is getting sick of writing for the day.

So he calls up Simili for a date!

They went to the Skybox which is at the top of the Art Museum...Well Gerald did, Simili just waited outside for him to go all the way up to order her a drink, I guess she'd rather stay outside in the dark than get drinks in the beautiful bar I created...LOL!

I gave the bartender a quick glow up and these two finally decided to make their way upstairs! They're behind the bar, but it's better than nothing I guess! Better hurry up guys, I'm pretty sure the bar is getting ready to close!

Yeah...not surprised!

Apparently, they had to make one more stop on their way out...

Stride of pride y'all...LOL!

Well it looks like they both had fun!
