Bruno Bucciarati and Rohan Kishibe romantic headcanons

Bruno Bucciarati

- Hugging from behind: Bruno loves wrapping his arms around you from behind, resting his chin on your shoulder while whispering sweet nothings into your ear. Sometimes he’ll sneak up on you just to surprise you with a gentle hug

- Soft forehead kisses: He’s a sucker for forehead kisses, especially when you’re both cuddled up after a long day. It’s his way of making you feel loved without needing to say a word

- Cooking together: Even though he’s pretty good at cooking, he insists that you help him, just so he can spend more time with you. He’ll flirt as you chop vegetables, and sometimes he’ll steal a quick kiss while the food is simmering on the stove

- Beach dates and silly sandcastles: He loves taking you to the beach for romantic walks, but sometimes he’ll suggest building sandcastles together. The two of you get competitive over who can make the best one, and he secretly loves how playful you get

- Braiding your hair: Bruno has such skilled hands (😉) that he loves helping you with your hair. He’ll braid it while humming softly, sometimes getting playful and adding silly little accessories just to make you laugh

- Soft sleepy cuddles: After a long day, he’ll pull you close to him in bed, gently stroking your hair as you both drift off to sleep. He loves when you snuggle up against his chest, and he always makes sure you’re comfy before falling asleep himself

- Calling you “bella/bello”: He has pet names for you, like “bella” or “bello” (beautiful). You often catch him calling you that in the middle of conversations, sometimes without realizing

Rohan Kishibe

- Drawing cute doodles of you: Rohan pretends to be all serious about his manga work, but every now and then, he’ll draw little chibi versions of you in his sketchbook. He acts like they’re no big deal, but secretly loves how happy they make you

- Reading your favorite books for you: Rohan is well-read and loves sharing books with you. Sometimes he’ll dramatically read passages aloud to you in funny voices, just to see you laugh

- “Accidentally” tripping into you: Rohan will sometimes pull little stunts where he pretends to trip into you just to catch you and pull you close. It’s his playful way of being romantic without being too sappy

- Unexpected cheek kisses: Rohan acts all cool, but he loves sneaking up on you and planting quick, soft kisses on your cheek, especially when you least expect it. He’ll act like it’s no big deal afterward, but you can catch a small smile on his face

- Compliments out of nowhere: He’s surprisingly sweet when you’re least expecting it. One moment you’re talking about something random, and the next he’s telling you how stunning you look, with no context at all

- Stealing your snack: Rohan likes to steal little bites of your snacks when you’re not looking, then acting like it wasn’t him. He’ll give you a mischievous smirk as if he didn’t just swipe the last bite of your favorite dessert

- Drawing little hearts on your hand: While you’re sitting together, he’ll absentmindedly grab your hand and start drawing little hearts on the back of it with a pen. When you look down and see them, he pretends he didn’t do it, but he’s clearly amused

Regarding the recent post:

Killer Queen is too short ranged of a stand to affect most sleuths and it's not in Kira's character to drop Sheer Heart Attack at the police departament and hope.

Kira generally doesn't have many ways to deal with characters that: Work in teams. Work from far away. Have any sort of records showing that they're invastigating him.

The man had to be bailed out by Bites the Dust and still lost Most sleuths wouldn't even let Kira get away for long enough for him to aquire Bites the Dust so that's not even something to consider in most of these cases.

{But you're really ignoring one thing: It can't be detected by anyone but Stand Users. Why would they think they needed to investigate Yoshikage Kira specifically? There's no evidence of the killings, since in canon, even the police didn't try to investigate the mysterious disappearances. The sleuths would mostly not be able to understand that Killer Queen exists, and even if they assumed it was something supernatural, there's still no evidence. And the man managed to impersonate another man in front of his family, landlord, coworkers, and everyone who may have talked to Kosaku on the street, with only the man's child catching on. Had Hayato never thought to set up a camera in his parents' room, Kira would have never been caught at all. And Kira doing poorly against teams of people investigating him doesn't line up when he's gotten away from them twice (he would have escaped Jotaro and Koichi were it not for Act III, and he did escape the entire Duwang Gang when they were chasing him by severing his own hand), plus managing to keep his identity secret from EVERYONE except Hayato until the kid figured out how to use the time-loop to his advantage. You're right that most of the time Killer Queen wouldn't get to Bites the Dust, but it would be because Kira wouldn't need to. He has eliminated people in broad daylight before, and he could do so again when against someone who can't see Stands.}

Hey could I get a JoJo’s matchup? (All I ask is any part but part eight since I haven’t finished it yet)

I very much love to joke around with others that I enjoy being around and always end up being upfront and blunt with who I am. Even with this, I don’t really like people all that much, preferring alone time with myself, except of course when it comes to the people I actually like. I would consider myself pretty intelligent, both emotionally and logically. Due to my very upfront nature, some people can find it jarring, but it’s fine to me.

I am a big fan of writing and reading, passionately so too. I also love RPGs and Table Top RPGs. Which means by extension, I can be a bit of a math nerd when it comes to games. I always love dissecting the media I enjoy, talking about each individual part and piece of the media I am consuming.

The main ways I show me caring about someone is usually being there for them, basically a listener. Quality time is a quick way to get to my heart regardless if it is platonic or not. Hopefully you can find a match!

Secondly - sorry for disappearing for ages, I've been both very busy and trying to combat writing block for a while. Apologies that this isn't super long, but it's nice to be back and I hope you enjoy this.

And of course, I hope I've captured what you wanted (and sorry for the wait).

✧ It might be surprising to some, but not picking up on precisely what he should do isn’t always unusual for Aragorn.

✧ He’s been immersed in so many cultures, played so many different roles, that sometimes he misses a cue as well.

✧ So he’s always very understanding, and non-judgmental, whenever you miss something. Or don’t quite pick up on a tone inflection.

✧ Over time, you notice small gestures that he’ll do to make it more obvious. Or even just a quiet nod to you, when the conversation calls for you to speak and you just missed who said what.

✧ Picks up on your mannerisms quite quickly as well; he often sees what you mean much quicker than most people, and adjusts accordingly too it.

✧ Aragorn is also generally a very calming presence, and he never seems judgmental when the two of you are together.

✧ It’s easy to not feel nearly as nervous around him, and when you do miss something you never feel judged. The worry you get that he’ll think you’re odd never seems to take hold in the same way.

✧ Later, when he has to present you to the court you can feel the butterflies (more like snakes) fluttering in your stomach.

✧ But it’s an event he’s gone over with you as many times as you need, patiently going through as many scenarios as you require.

✧ His hand gently squeezes yours, a reminder that he’ll be here beside you the entire time.

✧ “Whatever happens, I could never love you any less.”

𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐬

✧ If anything, Legolas sees you as more of a kindred spirit.

✧ As much as he tries to understand mortals, there are certain conventions he never quite understands. Certain bits of human culture he simply misses, because people thought they were too obvious to explain.

✧ It happens when some words are exchanged at Rohan, and people laugh in a way he didn’t realise was expected. His heart does a little jump as he wonders if it’s too late to join, and then he sees his own worries reflected in your eyes.

✧ The two of you hold each other’s gaze for a second, before he gives a smile of recognition. You see each other.

✧ For the rest of the night, the two of you are by each other. Sometimes it’s you who misses something, sometimes it’s him - but there’s a sense of reassurance that wasn’t there before.

✧ You are each other’s safety nets, in a way. That refuge of understanding, and knowledge that you won’t be judged.

✧ Once, a quick comment is said to the two of you and the speaker laughs. At what? No idea, both of you missed the subtext.

✧ There’s a second of anxiety from you - the fear of being judged as you stand there - before you realise that Legolas has missed the cue as well.

✧ He catches your eye, a smile playing on his lips. His eyes seem to shine a little.

✧ And then the two of you burst out laughing together.

𝐆𝐢𝐦𝐥𝐢

✧ Again, he has to learn to pick up on new social cues in the Fellowship, although he takes to it far better.

✧ You’re almost envious, that he can learn so well so quickly, yet you’ve been in this culture your entire life and you still feel you’re playing catch up.

✧ His eyes sometimes drift to you, when you don’t speak quickly enough or laugh too loudly at the joke that wasn’t that funny.

✧ Then, suddenly, your laughs aren’t as lonely anymore. Your silences go from isolating to more comfortable, as the dwarf occasionally joins in with them.

✧ Gimli never does it when it’s just you or the Fellowship - he loves you as you are, and he’d be damned if he tried to change anything - but he sometimes helps when he knows you’re nervous.

✧ If you’re truly worried of messing up, or that anxiety is too high, all you need to do is give him a look he somehow knows how to read.

✧ All attention on faux etiquette is then on the dwarf, who’s silver tongued enough to pass it off later. To make others forget.

✧ Until the only evidence something ever happened at all is when he gives you a little wink, and a small grin.

✧ “Couldn’t have left you alone, could I?”

𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐫

✧ Boromir is probably one of the least likely to struggle with social cues in the Fellowship. He was also privileged enough that, when he made an error, people didn’t comment on the heir’s slip up.

✧ So he always extends the kindness that he was given to you.

✧ The only time he’ll ever truly acknowledge what you did was ‘odd’ or ‘unusual’ is when it happened alone - then he might have a small smile, a quick laugh. There’s never anything malicious behind it, and in an odd way it sometimes helps you feel more comfortable.

✧ He’s also been immersed in enough cultures - Gondor’s elite, to soldiers, to Rohan - that he can mix how he talks fairly well.

✧ If there a certain phrases of social cues in languages that you always seem to miss, he makes a conscious effort to avoid using those in his everyday speech.

✧ (And the same goes for the opposite.)

✧ Boromir is also great when it comes to talking to him about the awkward silences, or the sub-text that you know you’ve missed (but aren’t sure what it is).

✧ Will always explain things if you need it, without condescension, or he’ll simply rephrase it in a way that’s more obvious - and then that becomes his newer speech instead of the old phrase.

✧ A somewhat bad habit of his is that he can sometimes have quite fragmented conversations - jumping topics or leaving gaps in the silence - so even when you’re unusually quiet he sometimes doesn’t notice it.

𝐏𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧

✧ Relates to your struggles a lot. Pippin sometimes struggle with when to or not to say something, or if his wording is appropriate for a situation; and then he says it anyways.

✧ He’s never sure if he regrets speaking up or missing the cue - but he does know that it’s better when you and Merry are around.

✧ Because he knows he has someone to turn to, someone who won't judge him.

✧ And of course he’d never even dream of judging you back.

✧ Now, his sheepish smiles after he misspeaks are still a form of an apology but they’re an inside joke between the two of you as well. It starts genuine, but when he catches your eye the corners of his mouth turn into a true smile.

✧ Becomes very in-tune with the way you speak very quickly.

✧ You missed something and didn’t speak? Pippin is remarkably quiet as well. You interjected and made a comment? Words have probably come out of Pippin’s mouth, or there’s been an agreeable hum at your statement.

✧ Does it mainly on accident, but there’s a part of him that does it to make sure you never feel alone or two uncomfortable.

✧ Pippin is also a wonder when it comes to dealing with awkward silences.

𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲

✧ Linking back to Pippin’s answer, for a lot of his life never been picture perfect about ‘social cues’ (nor have the people around him been).

✧ Although at the very start he doesn’t understand quite deeply enough as to why it’s so awful when you fumble through a social interaction.

✧ The Shire is quite a forgiving place - and he enjoys your talks so the few pauses or quick words don’t phase him in the slightest.

✧ Why on Earth should your company be any less than someone else's just because of how you interact with others? Especially when all your interactions are good, make him laugh or smile; a correct word choice is meaningless when up against that.

✧ But when being perceived as ‘weird’ gets to you too much - he doesn’t immediately understand it.

✧ “You’re already perfect. Why does it matter that you spoke too soon?”

✧ Becomes very understanding the minute you explain it to him. Why precisely you hated being perceived in that way.

✧ After that there’s a few, very subtle changes. Nothing about his interactions with you, there’s just a steady support when you’re talking.

✧ And if you ever falter - he’s instantly there to fill an awkward silence.

𝐒𝐚𝐦

✧ I think Sam sympathises the most with you, not least because he can relate.

✧ Sam tends to revert to formality when he doesn’t know how he should speak, because at least he knows he’s following some speaking etiquette. Even if it’s not always proper for the situation.

✧ And no-one else seems to fully understand his troubles - he can hardly see your awkwardness, or Pippin’s - until you speak about it together.

✧ He confesses about his nerves, and how he hopes he hasn’t fumbled over anything too badly. In response you relate and apologise for any missed social cues.

✧ Surprise is an understatement when he discovers you’re sometimes self-conscious about how you speak. He almost seems stunned for a second before he rushes to reassure you.

✧ “I like you most when you’re the authentic you. Not when you’re speaking different just to appease someone who shouldn’t be caring about that kind of thing.”

✧ There may be times when you fumble, but he knows he can lean on you (and he hopes you know you can lean on him).

𝐅𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐨

✧ Frodo is somewhat odd in the Shire based on how he speaks, the dreams he shares and the tales that he’ll happily tell to young hobbits who will listen. But he was never judged for that.

✧ People accepted that he was simply how he was, and that was the end of that matter. No-one really had any problems with that, and he was free to go about his days.

✧ Which is why his heart broke a little when he discovered you were sometimes self-conscious about it.

✧ He could hold conversation with you for hours, or simply listen to your voice if he wanted too. Where was the oddness people talked about?

✧ The things you most missed, or disliked, hadn’t ever occurred to him as something wrong. To Frodo that was just how you are, and still is.

✧ One of the most reassuring things is simply his presence in conversations. Frodo’s certainly eloquent enough to carry a conversation if you want attention taken away, or a slip to be brushed out of people’s minds.

✧ But he’s also a quiet enough hobbit, one who’s content to listen. Frodo is always the first to respond appreciatively to your points, to keep a new flow of the conversation.

✧ It’s subtle, yet Frodo will always be there for you where you’re nervous about this sort of thing.

Okuyasu would be a little slow to catch on but would totally commit to loving you, even as a worm, without a second thought.

Kishibe Rohan x Fem!Reader || Scenario + HCs - mostly scenario.

As much as it pains him to see you desecrate art in the way you do, I think Rohan would enjoy being with someone who is inexperienced in art.

Thanks to his career, and his stand, Rohan is naturally one of the best people there is at this kind of thing - people compliment him for it all the time, but it's special when it comes from someone he loves.

He wants your approval, and thanks to your inexperience, you're full of it; every time he creates something you're clapping your hands and singing praise and he devours it every single time.

However, it may be a little frustrating for him when you do start dabbling in the world of craft because wow, you really are new to this. That painting of a dog looks like a deformed cow.

He would offer to teach you, and you'd accept; but that would quickly fall down the drain because he has a very specific way of drawing - using Heavens Door - that literally no one else on Earth could achieve.

He also believes his art style is the best, and would try to convince you to use that instead of learning your own style.

But anyways, I can't think of any more HCs so lets just get on with what I'm good at - THE SCENARIO:

There was something so calming about art - the craft, the technique, the aptitude; each fine brush of paint against canvas, a blotch of ink to paper. It was soothing, and you felt silly for having only just picked up the hobby.

It was nice knowing that even with your inexperience, you could still create. And that's what you had been doing, that very afternoon - though late into the day, the sun continued to hang high in the air. Gentle golden rays of shimmering light flittered through your open window, splaying itself across your splattered canvas.

A smile settled across your lips at the sight, pressing a thin brush to the fabric for the last, small details. The lighting was perfect, displaying a visage of your boyfriend in the elegance he deserved - while you dipped your brush into a cup of water to clean it, you found yourself hoping that the sun would remain once you had made it to his place.

Yesterday, you had bought a fresh set of utensils; it had taken some brief self-encouragement, but in the late hours of the night you had picked them up and started sketching. With no real motif in mind, it hadn't surprised you to find a portrait of your partner sat before you. He had the face of a model; the kind of looks that were easy to detail, and though you hadn't slept a single wink last night, your efforts had paid off now that the work was done.

This was probably your best piece yet. Eagerly, you plucked the portrait from it's frame, wrapped it in thin, grease-proof paper to stop it from smudging, and tucked it into a large portfolio bag.

It took you no time at all to throw a jacket over your shoulders and slip out of the door - though the sun was high and the air was warm, there was a small breeze that flittered through the air, dragging along with it small, dry leaves and puffy clouds of pollen, a sign that soon, Spring would find itself curling around Morioh.

On a usual day, you'd likely find yourself bumping into a few friends or acquaintances on your way through the small town, but today you weren't bothered much. You supposed most of your friends would still be in work - blessed as you were to have a job that didn't involve a commute. It took you only a few minutes to reach your boyfriends house, and with a giddy smile held the large portfolio behind your back as you knocked at the door.

Kishibe Rohan didn't like being bothered.

Unless he was expecting someone, the likelihood of him opening his door to a random knocker was low; there was simply no need to. If it was urgent, they could call his landline.

When it came to you, however, he didn't mind being bothered. Living only a few minutes down the street from him, the two of you would frequently visit each others houses - you, more so coming to him than he did to you. It wasn't that he didn't enjoy visiting you, he was just always so busy during the day with his work and he knew that you would definitely come to him if you needed company.

Such is why you had a special knock - you would rap your first against the door in a particular rhythm, a melody unique to you, and he would recognise immediately who it was at his door.

Stuck in a block of what to do for his manga; hearing you knock at his door brought forth relief in his soul. As frustrating as it was to take a break from his important work, he at least at the restraint to recognise that perhaps a break was needed.

He wasn't sure what to expect when opening the front door to his house, but, seeing you try - and fail - to hide a rather large portfolio bag behind your back was not it. He eyed you up and down, growing sceptical.

"And what is that?" He inquired, tilting his body forward - a weak attempt at trying to see inside the bag. You quickly caught onto his snooping, and shifted the bag out of his view.

"Just wait," Was your gleeful chirp, ushering him aside so that you could flitter inside his house. Kicking off your shoes by the front door so that you could at least retain some semblance of respect, you quickly made your way past his stairs and into the main living area.

Startled, it took him a moment to clip the door shut once you had entered. He eyed you through his peripherals, before moving toward the kitchen.

"I'll put on some tea then."

"Oh, yes please!" You called out. With him distracted, you made swift work of unwrapping the portrait you had made - setting it up so that the fabric canvas was leant against the top of his coffee table.

It took a few seconds of setting up, but eventually, you had everything perfect. The canvas was angled in such a way that it bathed in the suns radiant glow. You stood in front of the picture, facing the doorway to the room; a cocky grin splayed itself across your lips when Rohan re-entered the room, a tray of tea clutched tightly in his hands.

He paused in the doorway. There was still a lilt of suspicion to his glare - he was unsure of what you were doing, but knew that you were up to something.

Slowly edging his way further into the room, Rohan placed the tray of tea on a table near the couch - a different one from the one you had been using for your artwork.

He crossed his arms over his chest, and with his brows furrowed, cocked his head to the side. "Can I see now?"

Giggling, you uttered out a jovial: "Yes!" And took a step to the side, allowing Rohan a full view of your artwork. "Look, I made you;"

Upon hearing that you had taken the time to make a portrait of him, Rohan's eyes lit up - he was a vain man, and the thought that you had been thinking of him enough to craft a portrait in his image pleased him greatly.

However, his excitement was quick to fade when he lay his gaze across the artwork. "Oh-!"

He gasped, his expression turning sour - the kind of sour where he had to bite his cheeks to stop himself from saying anything unsavoury. "Uh, that's... me?"

"Mhm! Do you like it?" You nodded your head, eager to hear his praises - It would be obvious that Rohan was exceptional at art, and so, you sought his approval more than anyone else's. His silence proved to be discouraging.

"It's certainly," He wanted to praise you, he really did. But, it was just so unflattering! Did you even look at a reference when you were making it, or were you doing it from memory? Or worse, did you have a pixelated polaroid? He couldn't even call it abstract, it was worse than that!

He swallowed thickly. "Well... it's,"

Your expression dropped, turning narrow the longer it took him to muster up a compliment. You crossed your arms over your chest, and with a huff, spoke out dully:

"I spent all night on it."

"Did you sleep last night?" His gaze flickered from the portrait to you. There wasn't concern in his tone, what you did in your spare time didn't bother him - you were an adult, and knew better than to stay awake late at night. He wasn't going to police you around like a parent.

When you shook your head, he clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth. "Ah... that explains it,"

His attitude was infuriating you. You had spent an entire night on that painting, and he couldn't even think of one nice thing to say? You were sure if you took it to anyone else, they would compliment it - but of course, you just had to try and impress the great and amazing Kishibe Rohan.

"Explains what?" You grumbled, rolling your eyes to the side sarcastically. He didn't take kindly to your sass, but spoke nothing on the matter.

Instead, he walked to the other side of the room. Prying open a set of drawers to pull out a small, A-4 notebook and a thin ink-pen. Your eyes followed his lithe figure as he walked back toward you, narrowing in suspicion when he then sat on the couch; moving a pillow out the way so you could sit next to him. You didn't give in to what he wanted.

"You mustn't spent all night on these things," He reprimanded, frowning when he realised you were being petty. He was only trying to teach you: "It wears you out. You need to take breaks to ensure your skill doesn't deplete."

You said nothing on the matter. Huffing in disapproval. You didn't need to be taught, you just wanted appraisal - when he realised you weren't coming, he rolled his eyes and repeated a small:

"Look, come here," But offered no chance for you to move of your own accord. An invisible force seemed to push you forward, guiding you rather forcefully toward the couch where you were then plonked down.

Before you could even register what was happening, you found yourself flushing. His hand had coiled its way around your back and he held your hand with his, slipping the ink-pen between your fingers. He used your hand as a sort of puppet; pressing the tip of the pen to the paper gently.

With his lips close to your ear, Rohan murmured a quiet: "I'll show you how." You were flustered, but made no move to stop him - maybe your inexperience was a good thing after all.

gimli headcanons:

likes doing laundry. finds it soothing

history nerd!! loves reading old tombs/biographies of his ancestors

is incredibly intelligent. beats frodo in chess. would beat gandalf but gandalf cheats. has been in a stalemate with aragorn for two and a half years.

well mannered but chooses to forgo his politeness to make a point. especially around elves.

does NOT like horses. not just riding them, which is canon, but actually dislikes the animal itself. the reasons why include (but are not limited to) :

he does not like being not on ground. he does not have a fear of heights so much as a fear of… feet not on ground. as evidenced by refusal to jump, treehouses, and well, horses

he does not like their faces. they are long and have eyes on the side like prey. gimli thinks this is deceiving as horses are very large and can kick in someone’s skull. not his skull.

gimli believes that in a one on one match with a horse, he could easily win. he has thought of several, very specific, scenarios of this and has a detailed plan of attack should this situation occur.

they so easily turned against their home for an evil overlord (read: sauron stole all the black horses from rohan) and therefore cannot be trusted. as a rule, anything that willing you let you ride it cannot be trusted. they can’t be satisfied with this life. they are plotting something.

believes he would be great at drums. it’s just hitting things hard and he’s pretty strong.

ok, another thing about horses: they are fragile to a ridiculous extent. you breath wrong and it breaks. they have bad bones and bad blood flow in their legs, and their legs are all that they’re used for. he doesn’t understand why humans invested so much time into horses when they’re genetically bad at what they are meant to do. he’d feel bad for the horses if they weren’t so awful.

drinks coffee, not tea

takes great with the up keeping of his gear. he sharpens his axes, polishes his boots, shines his armor and waxes his mustache. that’s not gear, but he takes great pride in looking groomed and caring for his belongings.

has an axe for every occasion. battle axe? do you want throwing or slashing. a day on the town? have you seen this intricately carved masterpiece that also is a weapon? digging a hole? PICKAXE. cutting a cake? how about an axe???

hates the rain because it ruins his hair and beard. also loves the rain because it ruins legolas’s hair and clothes.

will eat anything. has a great tolerance for spice. contrary to popular belief, dwarves are not shy of seasoning but are very cautious around other races in fear of poisoning their friends

will also eat some rocks. salty is his favorite (halite, hanksite, glauberite) but also likes to add chunks of chalcanthite to his food for a slightly sweet yet metalic flavor. this is also slightly (SLIGHTLY) poisonous as evidenced by sharing his trail mix with boromir

also calls dirt the “local seasoning”

will taste dirt to try and get a feeling for the land. this tells him the acidity, weather, possible wildlife, and also pisses off legolas

actaully genuinely likes the taste of dirt. (note: if you desire to eat clay/dirt that is a symptom of iron deficiency. for gimli, he eats spoonfuls of the stuff like their supplements because as a kid it was fed to him like multivitamins)

OK SO HEAR ME OUT: lack of sunlight can cause really low hemoglobin and ferritin (a blood protein that contains iron) sooo being constantly in dark caves can cause some forms of iron deficiency. because dwarves are conscious of their young, dwarf children often grow up not often being in direct sunlight.

the solution? dirt. dirt contains iron and other tasty minerals that are good for the body. charcoal has natural antioxidants. so does clay. am i saying that momma gimli (unnamed) fed her son ash and clumps of dirt? yes. also bits of broken pottery. it’s good of the immune system.

fr tho clay/dirt/charcoal are the dwarven multivitamins. you have a tummy-ache? here, have a rock. i truly believe this was scientifically proven by dwarves and only FOR dwarves (plz do not eat dirt)

fuckin loves mushrooms. has a mushroom log at home. whenever dwarves find some fungai in a cave they go feral

likes dogs. thinks it’s great that they dig holes. thinks it’s fantastic that the bury things in holes. absolutes loves when they get muddy, and then shake off all water and dirt all over you.

when he came back home with the name lockbearer, a lot of the dwarves thought it was really cool and he has some sort of elven puzzle that requires a code to unlock something. imagine their surprise when he rocks up and is like: no, even better. HAIRS. three of them.

enjoys making mudpies- made them as a kid with his cousins, (mostly with rock slurry) and continues to, even even as an adult.

made them on the fellowship with the hobbits. taught them all about the best types of dirt and the water-to-soil- ratio needed.

while cutting up slices of his pie, he offered one to boromir, who in good nature, took it, clearly thinking it was just part of the bit.

poor boromir was locked in a stalemate after gimli cut his own slice, and began eating it.

to his credit, boromir did brave a few bites, but had to stop once he nearly had a mouthful of maggots

“protein”

gimli is like crazy good at hair. can braid quickly and efficiently in elaborate styles

picked up eleven hair style techniques in lorien (quicker than legolas) and was forced to relay them to the elf through twine as there is no way he’s letting grubby elf fingers to touch his glorious mane that’s been decades in the making

would ask for a drink “on the rocks” and get slightly upset if it did not come back with actual rocks

War of Rohirrim fic ideas I wish we had like yesterday

I'm terrible at writing so I just suffer with those plot bunnies but who knows maybe someone like them?

Haleth switch up:

The haleth 1 from silmarillion gets swapped (body or just soul both very funny)with the Haleth2 from War of the Rohirrim.

Both Haleths are very battle ready.

Haleth 1 takes Hera under her wing and and takes this situation to at least safe someone's brother. So hama lives!

You can even put some angst into this!

She is literally yeeted into the future,her clan doesn't even exist anymore or something like that.

She also travels with Hera and Olwyn around or becomes queen! Again many possibilities!

Haleth 2 takes very quickly care of the orcs. I so want him to get shipped with Caranthir too. That would be hilarious.

He also takes one look at the women around him desperately fighting and wanting to fight and thinks about his sister. They all now got a big brother who makes shield maiden out of them.

He also literally refuses to belive he time traveled. It would be very funny if he is in original haleths body and just goes with it.

Olwyn × Targg enemies to lovers/second spring/found family

I have multiple scenarios in my head.

1. Targg survives the stabbing and gets saved by some loyal wild men.

They die looking for food (he doesn't know that) he then is thinking about his uncertain future and doesn't know what to do. Hera and olwyn are traveling near him and get attacked by some orcs. They run. Meet targg. He kills the orc. He ask if they saw his friends. They are dead. Much sad. He tags along because he is usefull. Olwyn threatens him with a sword. He likes that. You know the rest. Push and pull. Sad backstories. Funny found family things. Hera basically gets a new cool dad. Foreboding. Meeting elves and dwarves. Exploring endless possibilities.

2. I call this Hama using that clever mouth he had.

No, not in that way. Perverts

He convince Targg too look closer at Wulf who is already very crazy.

Targg saves Hama and gets injured.

Targg becomes part of the Rohirrim and helps them. Again many possibilities and a other view in culture. Much sad.still ship him with olwyn.

3. New character or even self inserts!

A wild men/women disagreed with the kidnapping of the princess and secretly helps her escape. Time passes. Wulf is getting more and more crazy.

Some good wild men form a group and they leave to warn Rohan. Saving some of the people or even Haleth! Nice.

Perfect scenario for every ship you want except wulf. Deep dive to some cool culture and different views! Cool wild men armor. Food. You can go nuts with this one.

Wulf redemption

Wulf dies. Sees his life and his treatment and his wrong doings. He gets a second chance. He is not suddenly 100% good but he feels really bad how he literally destroyed everything around him. Let him see hera defend him. Targg talking calmly to him and being loyal and he ruined everything. Angst. But a chance!

A new try. He saves his dad(because he loves him) and still gets banned but now he is not the one that starts a war. Shit it is his dad! Going crazy and very dangerous. Wulf leaves him. He is devastated. everything is worse then before. But surprise! Targg comes with him! (Wulf cries a little here)

Wulf know tries to warn Rohan but that is very difficult when you are banned. He tries to get to Frealaf thinking he is the most calmest but meets Haleth on a accident.

Haleth is wary but takes the threat serious. He also sees wulf disheveled looks and decided to basically become his brother-hen (motherhen but MANLY)

This is a healing fic with no shipping. Just bromance. Wulf realizing that Hera does love him but not in a romantic way. He gets a new family.

I want him to die dramatically to save Hera and he kills his dad or something.

Wulf moves on with a light heart.

That's all that is running around in my head.

･ﾟ✧ Aragorn.

Aragorn is not someone to make the first step in romance, even if he is the one falling in love first. He’d probably realise it during the ranger job you do together, like looking for herbs or reading traces – where his hand brushed against yours! But Aragorn is very much the person to respond to a love confession of yours, after which he tells you that he reciprocates your feelings in a very romantic manner: “Me too. I am bound to you by honour and affection alike. If you would have me…”

･ﾟ✧ Arwen.

Arwen would fall in love with you after dancing together. It could be on a ball her father’s giving, or just the two of you under the moonlight, where she’d laugh of bliss. You’d notice a slight change in her behaviour afterwards, more smiles, stolen glances – but you could only be sure after she finally told you, “It is because I have fallen for you, melethel. And there is nothing you can do about it!”

･ﾟ✧ Boromir.

Boromir takes a casual approach to love and romantic relationships. This is why his love confession to you would be rather nonchalant, maybe over a lunch you’re preparing together over the fire. “I love you, you know that?” he’d say, all cool – as if he didn’t fall for you when he saw you fearlessly wielding a sword and shield during combat training…

･ﾟ✧ Elrond.

Elrond would fall in love with you so gradually he wouldn’t be able to pinpoint an exact moment of realisation. Maybe it would be over a book you’re reading together, or when he told you about all the ancient stories he witnessed himself – or a grand love story. And then he’d turn to you and say, “Are you aware that this is how I feel about you as well?” He’d be very tender and playful about it, but earnest at the same time. He is very considerate toward you.

･ﾟ✧ Éomer.

Éomer doesn’t fall in love easily. Maybe due to this lack of experience, he has trouble expressing his feelings after that one horseback ride you did through the rain, where he helped you out of your dirty clothes afterward. His love confession would be a tedious process, with lots of phrases like, “Don’t make me say it. I lack the words to tell you…” – before he eventually leans in for a kiss and quietly adds, “Forgive me. I hope this tells you all the same.”

･ﾟ✧ Éowyn.

Éowyn is always brash and joyous around you, so her love confession would take you quite by surprise. She’d pick “an old Rohirrim tradition” to show you, maybe a special exchange of gifts, a traditional dance routine etc. “This is how the people of Rohan express their love,” she’d tell you with a soft smile and hopeful eyes. If asked, she would tell you when she realised she loved you: during sword lessons, of course!

･ﾟ✧ Faramir.

Faramir falls in love with you as soon as he meets you. He’s always been like that, heart racing with as little as a soft look or touch of a hand. For this same reason, and Gondor’s marriage policy, he swallows down any confessions because he has little hope in his own feelings. But after months, maybe years of courting and mutual affection, he’d finally tell you, in some grand romantic spot he chose – on his knees – because he’d connect it to a marriage proposal!

･ﾟ✧ Frodo.

Frodo would realise he loved you on a warm summer morning, as you’re walking barefoot in the grass – and then not tell you. He’d keep his secret to himself (haha), just smile to himself and subtly check the way you’re feeling before confessing to you – probably while holding both your hands, because that’s how sincere he is! “It gives me hope to hear you say that, because I, too, hold you very dear and love you very much!”

･ﾟ✧ Galadriel.

Thanks to her powerful telepathy skills, Galadriel probably knows you love her before you yourself do. She knows all about your feelings – but nothing of her own. I like to imagine her as blissfully oblivious, right up until the moment you confess to her. Then something would click inside her, and with a blank stare ahead, she’d whisper, “I love you, too. I haven’t realised it until now – but I do.”

･ﾟ✧ Gandalf.

Gandalf would realise he loved you after you’ve said or done something incredibly smart, like maybe found the solution to a problem that he was unable to solve. It’d make his heart skip a beat, he even looks away with a blush! And then he’d despair trying to find a “suitable moment for courtship”, as the old ways suggested, full of ceremony – and probably end up telling you his feelings very casually over a cup of tea he invited you to.

･ﾟ✧ Gimli.

Your usually hard-shelled Dwarf gets very flustered when he says the three words to you – followed by some nervous babbling, like, “There! I said it first. And I mean it very earnestly.” The moment he fell for you was probably connected to seeing you in a new light: Working in the mines all day leaves little room for elegance, but after seeing you in your beautiful banquet outfit, Gimli was walking into walls for the next three days!

･ﾟ✧ Haldir.

Haldir has always dreaded falling in love. But when you smiling at him makes his heart skip about three beats, he cannot lie to himself any longer. He can lie to you and everyone else though, needless to say. Not that anyone actually believes his denials… But Haldir would only confess his love in a life-or-death situation, when he thinks he’d never get the chance again. Then, of course, he’d be as elegant and romantic as all Elves are.

･ﾟ✧ Legolas.

If you are near Legolas the moment he realises he loves you – on a scouting trip, for example, or during preparations for a ball in Mirkwood – he’d tell you right away. He’d give you an analysing look, with a smile dancing around his lips, and say something like, “How I love you right now! I love you very much, my dear.” Thanks to his royal training, of course, he’d respectfully draw back until you’ve made your own feelings clear.

･ﾟ✧ Merry.

While he’s usually rather easy-going, Merry would plan out his love confession (meaning: a speech!) step by step, including an outfit plan and meal schedule designed specifically for you. He is the thinking type, and when it comes to this, he tends to overthink. He’d include a line like, “From the moment I first saw you…” when in reality, he probably fell for you when you joined one of his shenanigans without any reservations, proving just how similar you two are at heart.

･ﾟ✧ Pippin.

Pippin strikes me as a very “love at first sight” kind of person. At the same time, he’s really casual and playful about it. He’d only talk about it in return of your confession to him, like, “I never thought about that! I fell in love with you the first time we met!” – and probably shower you in a million compliments in the process!

･ﾟ✧ Sam.

Sam would realise he’s in love with you while thinking of new poetry to write – because all he thinks about is you! Somewhen along the line, he’d lean back in his chair, starting at the dozens of pages he wrote about you – and then have the overwhelming urge to go up and meet you to tell you right away, in his adorably sincere and gentle manner ♡
