Jojo Monthly Redraw [9/9] - The Jojolands

This is the 9th of a total of nine drawings I'll do throughout the year. I'll be redrawing one scene from each part of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, from Phantom Blood to The Jojolands.

The Jojolands is still being published, and we haven't had many chapters yet (this month will be published chapter #19), but I love the story and its main characters already (Usagi, my beloved... D':)

This scene is just a small panel in a serious moment where Meryl is explaining the mission to the guys, but they look so fucking clueless you can almost see the loading symbol on their foreheads, lmao. I love it.

This is the last redraw! Hope you like them all!

"I never thought about it that much, really. But it sounds like something my friend Makoto would have said." The memory was both sad and joyful for Usagi in this very moment. "Also, is your life that rough? That you have to drink to make it more bearable, I mean...." Bunny bit her lips. "You do not have to tell me of course, if you do not want to. I was just a little curious, I guess."

“Ew, are you serious? We live in that kind of barbaric time? I never understood why people thought women wearing pants are so wrong. Like if we started wearing pants, we would find a way to end all of the men’s lives or something.” Yuri shook her head with a sigh. “Ah, okay, got it. I appreciate your help, even though you didn’t really give me a lot of advice.” She pointed out with a shrug.

“That’s probably a smart idea, it was good that some of us learned our lesson the hard way and some of us just keep forgetting the lesson behind drinking. Personally, it makes life a bit more bearable at times.” Yuri admitted.

Usagi just loved food, even when it had often caused her friends - and even her own daughter - make fun of her because of it. Like, even Luna had called her fat more than once. Well, luckily Luna was not really able to talk anymore since they had been coming to Sydney together....

Yet, Usagi would only beg silently, usually. Like, the remembered when meeting Mako for the first time, and how the other had offered to share her bento after Usagi had basically been drooling over it already....

"Oh, I would love one!" Usagi gave the other a nod, eyes shining. Cookies were one of the things she could never say no to, after all. "My friend Mako also has been a great baker, her cookies were heavenly, and...." No, she should not think about Mako and the others so much. It was a painful thing to do, after all.

"Paris as in, Paris in France? How cool! I have never been there. I did never leave Japan myself, like.... before being brought to Sydney, at least."

going to the park was a good way to clear her head. she found that she drew a lot of inspiration for her designs from nature. as marinette sat there with her sketchbook and container of cookies, she smiled out, just looking around the area. it was no paris, but beautiful nonetheless. “oh, i’m sorry, do you want one,” she asked the person she’d just noticed sitting next to her on the bench. “i baked them earlier and made way too much for myself, so i truly don’t mind sharing.” mari enjoyed sharing with others, her parents always taught her to share. it was one of the things that helped her to get the job of ladybug, too. her kindness toward master fu had been a big factor in why she was chosen to hold the ladybug miraculous. not that she did kind acts to gain something from it, of course. “my parents taught me how to bake back in paris. they owned a bakery, you see.”

she missed being in paris with her family, but she was doing what she could to make sydney feel like home. for a while, without her memories, it was all she knew, but now that she remembered most things, she did miss it. what she didn’t miss was having to stop hawkmoth on a daily basis. that was a relief to her. it had been a lot of stress for the girl.
