Day 13: Rockies!

I’m back.

Apollo’s death in the fourth one.. I knew it was coming so maybe that’s why, but it felt so.. anticlimactic. He deserved a better death than that. I don’t know what exactly I would have liked to see but something that really show cased who he was. Which this tried to do but I feel like the way he died, not even, what, 10mins into the fight (or at least it felt that way) was a bit meh.

I did really like that Rocky had the drive to train pretty much himself to beat the Russian guy, though I wished there had been a call back to Apollo at the end of the match. Like this was for you Apollo, or idk something small to show that all of this was a form of justice, to finish off what his brother.. I mean friend started.

On to the fifth one: I’ve got to say, Adrian’s character is better. There has been growth! She’s stronger, more vocal, and a lot more I don’t know, like she’s taken a step out of the shadows into something better, for the most part anyway. Though that said, we are five movies in and if there wasn’t any growth that would have just been sad.

Omg, not me crying like a baby at the Mick flashback!! Guys, it’s too much! The way they say I love you to each other!! 😭😭😭 And the fact it comes back around! The glove! All of it! It was beautiful coming back to Mick and how much he meant to Rocky, and him kinda following in Mick’s footsteps. I wonder how that develops in the next few movies, including the Creed ones.

The conflict in this movie felt a little weird and annoying at times but I guess after four movies it’s hard to not seem a little repetitive on the fifth one. I did enjoy the differences in this and the street fight instead of the ring one at the end.

Off to watch Rocky Balboa next. Can’t wait to see how Robert has grown.. she says, though all she really cares about is seeing Milo.. 😅

Guys, bear with me, okay. This is the third night I’m watching a rocky movie. Started Thursday night with the first one and now I’m on the third. This is my first time properly watching them, and I’m actually enjoying it more then I thought I would. And I’ve got stuff to say:

Had no idea (especially the first two), how much romance is in these movies. It’s like 80% romance, 10% Boxing, 10% (probably more) of Rocky screaming Adrian’s name 😂😂 but no complaints, it’s great. And they definitely added a lot more boxing to the third which was a nice difference.

I want to know, am I the only one who doesn’t really like Adrian’s character? I’m enjoying her A LOT better in Rocky three and I have yet to see how she is in the other ones after this one, but I don’t know, something about her character just really sucked in the first two. Probably the lack of personality really. And even in the third, it’s just that beach scene between her and Rocky that has me like yessss finally something from her character.

I LOVE and had no idea I needed to see Rocky and Apollo be friends and almost brothers! Like YES! This is amazing! From enemies to friends.. to lovers.. I mean.. friends 😂😂😂 But nah, jokes aside, it’s fun getting to see them in a different dynamic.

Also, excited to see Milo when I finally get to that movie. Two more now that I’m done with the third one.

rating how canon I think these ships will be in s5!

• byler (wike): 10/10. easily happening and easily endgame!! cuties!

• elmax: 1/10. sorry but this ship just doesn't make sense to become canon to me, but they will definitely have a lot of scenes together!

• ronance: 7/10. (unfortunately) probably won't be endgame but they must have something going on due to maya and natalia's speaking up on it!!

• jancy: 4/10. they were so SO cute in s2 and s3, but s4 really ruined jonathan and their relationship. they don't listen to each other.

• stancy: 8/10. even though I thoroughly dislike this ship, they have a lot of chemistry and clearly have something going on.

• mucas: 10/10 agh they're so cute! 100% gonna be endgame

• jopper: 10/10 again very likely to be endgame

• elumax: 0/10 it's very cute but while ST is progressive, I doubt they'd be progressive enough to make a poly ship canon- plus the same thing with elmax abt how it doesn't make sense

• steddie: 0/10. he's dead my guy

• rockie: 8/10. I don't like this ship at all but amybeth was recasted for s5 so they'll probably be endgame. rlly don't like how underdeveloped their relationship and vickie herself is tho

• mileven: 3/10. they don't rlly make sense together?? plus byler is definitely endgame.

• suzie/dustin (idk their ship name): 10/10. they're very cute and very endgame

anyways pls don't attack me for these, they're my personal opinions! just bc I don't like the ship doesn't mean i don't like the characters :3 (example: rockie!) also just bc i put a ship lower doesn't mean I don't like it! (example: jancy!)
