De-Aged
Jason: holy shit- she's so tiny!
Dick: *agitated* Jason, focus, what do we do??
Jason: *coos at the baby Marinette* I haven't seen her this small in forever.
Dick: we need- Jason! Focus! what do we do???
Jason: *shrugs* wait it out? I don't know.
Inspired by @bambicambi
Annoyance coursed through Marinette’s veins as she saw the new Akuma of the day.  Of course it happened when her family came to visit.  Looking up to the sky and praying for strength she turned her back to the chaos, something she would soon regret.  Her brothers were asking her what the heck was going on, and as she opened her mouth a baby pink ray of light hit her, and Marinette poofed and in her place sat 4-year-old Marinette Wayne.
Jason and Dick stared at the small child on the ground in shock and after the moments were over Jason eagerly picked her up and spun her around.
“Holy sh*!  She’s so tiny!”
Jason called out as he held the small giggling girl to his chest.  Dick, was rightfully frustrated and walking in small circles and quickly said,
“Jason, focus, what do we do?”
Upon hearing Jason making cooing noises, he swiftly turned to look at Jason.
“I haven’t seen her this small in forever!”
He exclaimed, nuzzling his nose against the small Marinette.
“We need-Jason!  Focus!  What do we do?”
Jason shrugged as he held Marinette against his hip.  She giggled and tugged at his jacket.
“Wait it out?  I don’t know.”
Dick opened her mouth, but stopped when Marinette began to speak.
“Jay-Jay!  Ride!  Ride!”
Jason’s grin grew and gently set her down while holding her hand.  He squared down and carefully released her hand.  He could not express the pure amount of joy he felt when she climbed onto his back and wrapped her tiny hands around his neck.
“Jason, have you just forgotten the weirdly dressed flying child that not only turned Marinette, but all of Paris into kids?!”
He…had forgotten.  But can you blame him?  Marinette was so tiny when she was a kid, and he hadn’t seen her like this in forever.
“Look, contact Zatanna while I keep her safe and distracted.”
Dick sighed in relief replying,
“Alri-wait a minute.”
Jason was already running with a giddily screaming Marinette.
“No fair, I want to cuddle my baby sister too!”
He sighed in frustration, and no he was not pouting.  Quickly pulling out his communicator he dialed Zatanna.
“Hello?”
“Hey, so I’m in Paris visiting some family, and this flying kid in really weird clothes is going around de-aging people.  Could you come see what’s going on please?”
“Pardon, but what?”
“Yea, it sho-“
Dick quickly ran through the streets dodging beams that were now directed towards him.  Why did stuff like this always happen when they traveled?
A few moments later a portal opened and he had never been more relieved to see Zatanna in his life.  Zatanna looked around and looked at the villain.  As she studied it and was about to jump in, a neon butterfly mask appeared over the child’s face and she realized what this was.
“I can’t do anything, sorry Dick.”
“What?!  Why?!”
“This is ancient magic, probably the most ancient magic in the universe.  There should be others…, see,”
She said pointing to a cat-like figure in the distance.  Dick stared in confusion, what was happening?
While Dick was trying to figure everything out Jason was having the time of his life with Tiny Mari.  He was especially thankful that when she was blasted that her clothes were transformed into a white t-shirt and overalls with lions stitched throughout them.  He had taken so many pictures of them.  We’re people running around everywhere scared, yes, yes they were.  But that didn’t stop him from enjoying as much time as he could with his tiny sister like he used to.
“Jay-Jay!  There’s a fairy in my pocket!”
“How is there a fairy in the Pixie’s pocket?”
He asked jokingly while swinging the hands back and forth!
“Lookin lookie!  It’s a Ladybug fairy!  She’s so pwetty.”
Marinette held Tikki in both of her hands and jumped up and down trying to get him to look.  Jason chuckled and looked down at the toy.  It was cute, he had never seen something like it before.  Then it blinked, and flew out of Marinette’s hand, and oh gosh, IT CAN TALK?!
“Marinette, you need to help Chat Noir defeat the akuma?”
“Akuma matata!”
Marinette called out with a giggle.  Jason would have laughed, if it weren’t for the flying bug thing talking to his sister, who was currently 4, telling her to help someone defeat the crazed villain.
“Woah!  Are you insane?!  Look at her?!  How do you expect her to fight?!”
The thing looked conflicted before sighing and saying,
“Well, do you want to fight it?  You just need to wear the earrings, I can run you through what you need to do!”
“No!”
Marinette screamed.
“I want to be like you and daddy!  It’s my turn to help people!”
“Marinette, you're too young.”
Tears began to well up in the small child’s eyes.
“I-it’s no fair!  You al-always say that!  I want to help!”
She finished stamping her foot definitely with a sharp glare.  Jason sighed in exhaustion and turned to the floating creature.  He mumbles under his breath,
“Can’t believe I’m letting this happen.”
He knew by the way Marinette was gripping at her ears and the definence in her stance.  He could easily take them by force, but he didn’t want to hurt her or make her angry and feel betrayed.
“Can you assure above all else that she will be completely and utterly safe.  I will join as well in my hero suit to make absolutely sure.”
“Yes, she has a partner as well who will watch out for her.”
He sighed in relief at that, but there was a new and very heavy weight on his chest that wouldn’t leave until this event was over.  He listened to the fairy tell Marinette what she needed to do and almost smiled at the determined face she was making.  Her cheeks were so chubby and-no, focus!  He pulled out an extra domino mask he always carried with him and zipped up his leather jacket.  When he turned around there was a burst of pink light and where Tiny Mari once stood stood his sister in the cutest outfit he had ever seen!  It was similar to his old Robin outfit, but closer to Tim’s as she thankfully felt that there needed to be pants.  She had small wings on her back with a black cape with red bottom edges that shielded them from view.  And in her hands was a tiny yo-yo.  Before anything else could happen, he quickly pulled out his phone and took pictures.  He wanted to show this to Bruce and brag, sue him.
Soon after that they both left to the rooftops.  He was honestly surprised by how easily she maneuvered around the roofs and how easily her yo-yo grappled and released from things.  They soon landed next to a Cat Woman knock-off who turned to look at them in surprise and exhaustion.  When Marinette saw him she quickly turned to him and tugged on his sleeve.  Jason crouched down and Mini-bug leaned close to his ear and whispered,
“Does Selie have a son?”
Jason snickered and glanced up at the kid.  He seemed to have heard them if the ears twitching and confused look said anything.
“No Pix.  He was just inspired.”
“Oh, okie-dokie!”
“So, I’m assuming you two know each other and she was hit out of suit?”
“Yep, basically.”
“Right.  Well, we just need to break the wand, but I can’t get close.”
“Little Lady, cast your charm.”
Mini-bug puffed up her cheeks making her old —and most adorable— thinking face before yelling out while throwing the yo-yo into the air,
“Lucky Charm!”
“A red and black spotted rubber bullet dropped into Mini's awaiting palms.  Jason promptly took the bullet and loaded it into his gun, it was the perfect fit.  The hideously dressed child flew over to them and flourished her wand creating the opening Jason needed.  With one quick shot the bullet flew through the air and hit the wand causing it to snap.  A black and purple butterfly began to fly out and mini quickly caught it.  She quickly released it bouncing on her heels in pure joy as a wide smile grew onto her face.
“Told ya I coul’ do it!”
“Yes you did, good job Pix.”
Chat Noir, who they hadn’t noticed disappeared, came back with the bullet and handed it to the small girl.  She threw the bullet into the air jumping up as well and yelled out,
“Miraculous Ladybug!”
Millions of Ladybugs flew through the air repairing damages and Turing people back to normal ending with Ladybug herself.  Ladybug looked around confusedly and saw Chat on her right and Red Hood on her left.  Memories of the past hour flashed through her mind and she promptly hid her face in her hands and a deep blush bloomed across her face.
“This is a disaster, a complete disaster.”
“I don’t know Bug, was it?”
Jason asked with a crap eating grin.
“Yes.”
Came her mumbled response.  Jason laughed and ruffled her hair, Marinette was too miserable to care.
“We should go make sure golden boy isn’t panicking too much, don’t ya think?”
Marinette sighed tiredly and nodded, I guess so.
“Sorry Chat, I promise I’ll explain later.  Bug out.”
And as quickly as she could she swung away with Red Hood laughing and not too far behind.
“B is going to hate that he missed this.”
He called through the air causing a loud groan to escape her lips.
“Don’t show him!”
“Too late Pix, already sent them all to the group chat.”
“I hate you.”
“Love you to Babybug.”
Marinette groaned again and Jason laughed all the way to where they found Dick and Zatanna talking in an alleyway.

Ask: The 27th of April, the Last (and Long) Part
Tumblr media
Bonus Ask:
Tumblr media
[Stately Wayne Manor]
Jason: *helping Alfred clear out the dinner table* You think we should’ve asked Harley to stay for dinner?
Alfred: If you wished to see Master Bruce’s hair turn to grey as you ate dessert, I don’t see why not.
Jason: *burps loudly and fans his breath away* Whoops. Sorry, Alf. Just my way of complimenting your cooking.
Alfred: *carrying the dishes to the kitchen* Then perhaps you should come here more often, Master Jason.
Jason: *following Alfred* I'd rather not cause any trouble.
Alfred: *stops in his tracks and turns to face Jason with a stern expression* And you don't think it troubles me that you feel unwelcome here?
Jason: *takes the dishes from Alfred’s hands, sets them on the kitchen island, and pulls him in for a hug* Alf, hey... I didn’t mean it like that. I know you guys care about me, it’s just...
Alfred: *sobbing into Jason's shirt* We've already lost you once... Once is enough, Jason...
Jason: *tightens the hug and gently plants a kiss on top of Alfred’s head* I know, I know... I'm back, Alf. I'm back.
>>> *** <<<
Dick and Barbara: *sitting on the carpeted floor in the study, enjoying the heat from the fireplace in front of them, going through a stack of photo albums*
Dick: *smiling fondly* Wow, these are old-old.... I should probably scan them before they crumble to pieces.
Dick: *stops at a page and points at a picture of Bruce and Jason on a boat, smiling, and holding up a tuna* Check this out, Babs... Aw, I love this one. I had a few days off from work, decided to spend it here. Somehow Jason convinced Bruce to take break from himself and go fishing.
Dick: *talking animatedly* So, there we are on Bruce’s huge fishing boat, the Bat-2-Sea -- And Jason’s starting to get seasick because he’s been hanging out by the edge, waiting for a bite for hours -- The persistence on that kid! --  And he finally gets one! A big one, Babs -- *spreads his arms* -- and it was pulling down hard like you wouldn’t believe, but Jason just wouldn’t let go! -- So Bruce drops the glass of wine he’s holding and runs to grab him --
Barbara: What were you doing?
Dick: Who do you think took the picture? As I was saying -- Bruce, he -- he -- *starts to laugh so hard that he tears up* trips over Jason’s line somehow and falls into the ocean! *slapping-the-floor laughing* The World’s Greatest Detective, in his Batwaders, drenched like a wet bird... *sighs happily* You should’ve seen his face!
Barbara: *turns the page* Oh, I can see it now. Still stone-faced, but wet.
Barbara: *stops at a page and giggles* Aw... Will you look at that?
Dick: *looks at the photo Babs is pointing at and chuckles softly* That’s adorable.
Barbara: Those scaly leotards fit him better than they ever did you, Boy Wonder.
Dick: *smirks* Whatever. But I have to admit, he did look great. He looked really... happy. I wish... I wish I saw more of him in action, you know? *voice breaking* I could’ve maybe trained him the way I did Tim and Damian --
Barbara: *rubs his back comfortingly* Dick...
Jason: *walks into the study* Dickie, I took some of your --
Dick: *clears his throat and wipes his eyes haphazardly* Hey, Little Wing!
Jason: Wait, are those our old family photos?
Barbara: *pats the empty spot beside her* C'mere.
Jason: *sits down and rubs his hands together* Where’s the one where Bruce goes kersplat in the ocean?
Jason: *flips through the pages and grimaces at his photos as Robin* You're not gonna use these to blackmail me, are you?
>>> *** <<<
Duke: *watches as his RPG character explodes for the fifth time in a row and shakes his head* You beat me again! You're so good at this game, man.
Jason: *snorts and puts his controller down* Dude, you weren't even trying. If I didn't know better, I'd say you were letting me win.
Duke: What? Naaaah... That's... Come on, why would I do that?
Jason: *gets up and shrugs, grinning knowingly* I dunno... 'Cause you like seeing me alive?
Duke: Yeah. It’s pretty awesome, actually.
Jason: *offers to bump fists* I gotta pack up. Good game, though. See you around, bro.
Duke: *exploding-fist-bumps with Jason* You too, bro.
Jason: *pats Ace the Bathound’s head as he exits the game room*
>>> *** <<<
Steph: *examining Jason’s face* You look really pale.
Cass: *pointing at various spots on his face* And you have a lot of... scars.
Jason: *sitting on a stool in front of Cass’s vanity dresser, staring at himself in the mirror and absentmindedly running a finger over the shirt-covered scar on his chest* Yeah? That bad, huh?
Steph: *grins* Nothing a little makeup can’t fix.
Jason: *rubbing his chin* You think so? I mean, I just came here to borrow a few weapons from Cass, but if you think I need a makeover...
Steph and Cass: *look at each other and squeal in delight*
>>> *** <<<
Tim: And this *holding up a minuscule gadget between his fingers for Jason to see* generates a force field over your entire body. The more the impact, the greater the energy generated. Schway, huh?
Jason: *nodding his head appreciatively as he takes the gadget and sticks it on the lapel of his leather jacket* Schway.
Tim: *proudly shows Jason a Bat-shaped breastplate * Now, this -- You're gonna love this -- It can turn you invisible to the naked eye for roughly 34.5 seconds, giving you time to do all kinds of offensive or defensive stuff. They won’t know what hit them, Jay. You’re basically gonna be invincible and Joker... Joker, he’s... he’s not... not gonna... *drops the breastplate unceremoniously*
Jason: *places a hand on Tim’s shoulder* Thank you, Timbo. Really. But I'll be fine out there. You don't have to worry about me.
Tim: Yeah? Can you promise me that? Because I don’t think I can live through another one of Bruce's meltdowns.
Jason: *chuckles softly* Aren't they the best?
>>> *** <<<
Jason: *staring at an empty grave layered with concrete in the backyard*
Jason: *rolls his eyes* I know you're there.
Bruce: *comes out of the shadows and stands next to Jason*
Jason: Why'd you keep it?
Bruce: Because I'm a sentimental old fool.
Jason: This is just... creepy. Even for you.
Bruce and Jason: *stare at the empty grave in silence*
Jason: I've forgiven you.
Bruce: *glances at Jason, who could’ve sworn his adoptive father’s eyes were bloodshot*
Jason: You know that, don’t you? I mean, I know we’re always going to disagree about Jok-- about him, and a few other things, but... You’ll always be family, Bruce. My family.
Bruce: *looks at Jason, smiling wearily*
Jason: *grinning back at Bruce*
Bruce: *puts an arm around Jason’s shoulder* Thank you... Son.
Jason: *pulls Bruce in for a tight hug*
Bruce and Jason: ...
Jason: Hey, remember that time you went kersplat in the ocean?
>>> *** <<<
Damian: *knocks softly on Jason's bedroom door* Todd.
Jason: *stuffing a duffel bag with clothes, homemade snacks, and weapons* Hey, kid, come in. I’m just getting my stuff ready --
Damian: These came from Mother. *drops a pile of books on Jason’s old desk*
Jason: *picking one after the other up excitedly* Tolstoy, Machiavelli, Sun Tzu, Shakespeare, Marx... No way...
Damian: They’ve been with me for a while. But since you rarely come over, they’ve been collecting dust and taking up valuable space in my room. -Tt-
Jason: *wiping the dust off with his shirt and hugging each one* She kept them... These were my friends back when I was in the League...
Damian: I didn’t realize we had more in common than just being my Father’s sons.
Jason: Wow. I have no idea how I’m supposed to bring all of these home. I mean, I got here on roller blades, for Bat’s sake --
Damian: *thrusts a piece of paper into Jason’s chest* This is for you.
Jason: *gingerly uncrumples it, revealing a painting of him and Damian*
Jason: *reading the writing in calligraphy underneath* “The Second Chance Robins”... *looks at Damian, feeling the tears well up in his eyes* You made this?
Damian: *looking down at his feet* When it’s my day... M-my d-day... Will you come over, too?
Jason: *gets down on bended knee to be at eye level with his little brother* Hey, buddy, look at me. Damian, look at me. Of course. Listen, we’ll do whatever you want. We’ll, um... We’ll take bad guys down together! Pull pranks on Tim! You name it, I got you.
Damian: Don’t make promises you can’t keep, Todd.
Jason: I promise that I’ll do my best, okay?
Damian: You could stay the night, you know. You’re home anyway.
Jason: *ruffles Damian’s hair and grins* I'd like that. As long as you hang out here with me. And I promise I won't tell anybody because it'll ruin our reputation.
~ * ~ * ~ * ~
If truth be told, @wingedskyes , Jason makes himself available on his Death Day. Because even if neither he nor his family and friends mention it, he knows that they need him just as much as he needs them.
Thank you for this Ask. It was both fun and just a tad bit heartbreaking to write.
And thank you, @warrior-of-the-blue-moon , for the nice addition.

Note
I read 21 and I immediately thought of Jason. So that, please 😊
This was soooo cute to write I can’t even 😩
21."Please let me scare some kids"
Jason hated going out on patrol on Halloween. It was impossible to distinguish who was dressing up for fun and who was there to commit evil. However, it was one night of the year that Gotham always seemed to be more hellish than usual. So, every Halloween he dragged you out to watch over the innocent kids.
Scouring the city, watching for crime, admiring all the half ass vigilante costumes that people came up with. Halloween patrol was fun - aside from the stress - it was the one night of the year that you felt like you and Jason could goof off while you were on duty. And it was the only time you could consider working a date.
Children's laughter filled the streets rather than an evil cackle. You could see how on edge Jason was as he stood on the edge of a buildings. Joining him, you grabbed his hand and looked down to see what he was staring at. Clowns, kids dressed as clown that didn't come close to resembling the Joker, but it was enough to put him on edge.
"Not all clowns are psychotic murders," You whispered to him. You could practically feel him rolling his eyes under his helmet. "It's Halloween Jay, there's clowns every year - even in Gotham."
"Doesn't mean I have to enjoy it," He scoffed. "Lets keep moving."
Jason stopped after leaping from building to building for another six blocks. It was one of the more richer parts of the city. Kids had less worry of being taken down by some sort of maniac and were spoiled by their parents. The exact kind of people that Jason did like - but felt the need to protect anyways.
There was no screaming, no gun shots, nothing. That part of town was peaceful, hopefully enough that you could convince Jason to pause long enough to enjoy the moonlit night. Jason sighed as you wrapped your arms around him from behind. This happened every year: you trying to get him to stop worrying and have fun for once.
It never worked.
"What if..." You began, shuffling so you stood in front of him rather than behind. The metallic red was stared back at you until your pout grew enough for him to take it off. "What if we go back to my place," you kissed his lips, "and watch a horror movie." You kissed him again. "Or two, or three even."
"No," Jason stated. This time he kissed you as the disappointment grew on your face. "Maybe, maybe, when we're done tonight we can watch one."
"You're no fun," you rolled your eyes and pulled away from him. Jason grabbed onto your arm and pulled you back towards him before you could get too far away. This kiss was far more than just the peak little pecks you shared, but one that tried to make up for his lame behavior.
"I'm plenty of fun," Jason put his helmet back on. He moved back to the edge of the building to look below. He grinned at the sight before him. Three little boys all had a rendition of Jason's Red Hood costume. They all wore red bike helmets and a domino mask, along with all black clothes, a big red bat on their chests, and a leather jacket that looked like it belonged to each of their fathers.
You could only hear glimpses of their arguments of who's costume was the best. They were all similar, but differed just enough to cause a fight. Jason looked over at you, and you wished you could see the smile that was surely on his face. Most people had worn Batman and Robin costumes, this was the first time you had seen Red Hood.
"Babe, please let me scare some kids," Jason pleaded. There was nothing more that he wanted to do than startle the young boys. Maybe it’d make their day, maybe they’d go crying home to their parents. There was only one way to find out. "Please."
"No."
"Please! We'll go home immediately after and I'm all yours for the rest of the night," Jason bargained. He saw your serious look wobble until you finally caved and nodded. Jason rested his helmeted forehead against yours before jumping down directly in front of the three little boys.
You could hear their screams perfectly, followed by their looks of awe. They squealed about how this was the real Red Hood. To your surprise, Jason kneeled down to the kids and started chatting with them. He pointed out all his weapons and explained what each of them could do.
Suddenly, all four of them looked up to you, and the three little boys waved. You mimicked them with a smile on your face. Jason ruffled their helmets before grabbing his grappling gun to join you back up on the ledge.
"Make some friends?" You asked, never realizing how adorable he was when he was around kids - even as the Red Hood.
"Maybe," Jason shrugged. He grabbed your hand once more that night. The little boys were probably the only people Jason had ever met with his helmet on that were genuinely excited to see him. It was a nice change he never knew he needed. "I think I gained some competition. They have quite the crush on you."
"Maybe they wanna go watch horror movies with me instead."
"Hey! I said I was all yours for the rest of the night, baby. Take advantage of it."
"Don't worry, I will be."
Feel free to request from the Halloween prompt list , I’ll be doing them all October!

Waynes, Todds, Al-Ghuls and Dupain-Chengs
The magic leather rested on her shoulders while her fiance came back with the drinks and muffins.
The little prince of the Assassin League was leaning on his torso as he wrapped his baby arms around his neck. He had an adorable long coat that protected him from the autumn weather, with a hat that hid his big jade eyes and his scary eye look.
Every time she saw that eye look on the little boy, Marinette burned with fury, tempted to go back to tibet and kill Talia Al-Ghul instead of leaving her in a coma.
He was just an innocent child used for a terrible cause. Thanks to the kwami Jason was able to remember his time of madness due to the lazarus pit, and return for the poor boy before it was too late.
When they approached Jason's family about Bruce's biological son it was a surprise. They went a long way, Bruce and all his children to understand each other completely, in which Marinette formed an amazing part as a mediator. And with all protectors over Tim, discovering Talia's terrible plan shook everyone.
Dick was quick to try to go and save the little birdie. Tim was caught up in wanting to help rescue him and a panic induced by the insecurity of being set apart. Bruce was dismayed, with the pain of knowing that once again he failed another son of his. But Marinette and Jason already had it all planned.
With Jason's familiarity with the Assassin League, and Marinette's experience as a miraculous guardian on his side, they would attack the league.
Taking advantage of the fact that no one outside the mansion knew that Jason and Marinette had contact with batman and all his allies again, they would hide around the world with the little assassin until the assassins totally lost their track, and batman, red robin, and nightwing will get them out of the way.
Bruce was reluctant not to get involved in the fight, but accepted after all, that it would be a better way not to expose the little one in high-risk situations anymore. With the promise that they would be recorded daily, and a sermon that only Bruce Wayne could give.
“This is tedious. Someone like me shouldn't have to wait for a simple drink. I'm hungry!” His words were wide for someone with such a childish tone of voice.
Jay enjoyed teasing Damian with his tone of voice. And damian being the spoiled little boy he is, would try to jump on him to gouge out his eyes. But marinette knew better, those two would do anything to protect each other.
“Calm down Dami, in the real world things are different. Besides, you have never tried hot chocolate, I promise it would be worth it.” Mari puts a kiss on the dark hat on his little head. Damian grimaces, pretending that his eyes don't shine from the show of affection.
He was still a small child, whom others had raised to be a ruthless assassin who would rule the world. Thanks to the kwamis he could now be a normal boy with assassin training in a family of heroes and vigilantes.
And hopefully realize that he had a family that cared legitimately for him.
Just when Damian was about to start a tantrum of words too old for his mouth, Jason walks out of the busy cafeteria with the recyclable bag of his orders. Damian taps Mari's shoulder twice, which means put me down now you pleb, or as Marinette likes to remind him, put me down, please.
With childish grace damian rushes to Jason to demand his food request.
The image of a three-foot-tall boy demanding hot chocolate from a six-foot-four adult with muscles and a fashionable jacket made by herself, is hilarious.
Jason surprisingly was very good at understanding Damian. With little teasing, it gives Damian a dark green colored thermos that he demanded to buy at the store, with the hot chocolate.
Marinette approaches with Jason to get a better view of Damian's expression when he first tastes cocoa, milk, and sugar mixed in a drink of gods.
His entire expression suddenly glows with amazement at the first sip.
The killer-trained boy quickly disappears as he rushes in more drinks. Marinette is more than happy that her plan to pamper Damian at the right way was successful.
While Jason laughs heartily at Damian's actions, Marinette controls him to drink with caution.
Jason and Marinette walk back to the apartment they rented with Damian held by Jason with his left arm. The time for his daily report with Bruce was approaching.
"I was talking to Tim while I was in the line, I'm glad he is no longer insecure with his position in the family."Jason says to Marinette after he kisses her lips, with Damian too busy to notice.
"I can't blame him, after everything that happened with his biological family it is logical. But he has walked a long way since we met him, he just needs us to remind him that we love him no matter what."
“Aw, sunshine don't be so sweet, there's enough sugar in my coffee.”
“Someday you'll have to stop pretending you don't love your brothers, Jay. You don't fool anybody.”
“You may be right, but I'll never let them hear it”
Halfway Damian begins to nod, with a poorly made expression of a determined look on his face, while the thermos slips from his little hands. Mari picks up the thermos, and Damian is pleased enough with the warmth of his coat, Jason's, and the hot chocolate Mari bought him that he allows himself to rest his head on Jason's chest.
Damian's last thoughts are that they are not at all inefficient with his care. He says to himself the same words that his new family repeats to him.
We love you Damian, we are here for you.
And suddenly, all the hard and cold words that Talia ever said to him about his father and family become nonsense.

Building Blocks
Summary: Jason is building his nest. His family is sneaky.
Note: Some Language cause it’s Jay
Ao3
xxx
"His nest is still so small,"
"That's cause he has nothing from us,"
"Should we-"
"No, he won't like being handed things just like that,"
"How?"
"What about what Grayson did with me? Father?"
"..."
"Good idea. Let's do it,"
xxx
Jason frowned at the piece of clothing sitting just outside his small nest in the manor. It was a large black cashmere sweater.
He didn't wear any cashmere. Only Bruce and his baby brothers wore it. And by the size, it was Bruce's.
Huh. Someone must have mixed it in the laundry. Alfred didn't make mistakes like that but everyone liked to pitch in to help the old butler. One of the others must have brought it up here.
Jason picked it up with the intention of taking it to Bruce and telling him to keep his shit in his room.
Except.
Except, it still smelled like the older omega, the scent of smoked apples and honey slowly reaching Jason's senses.
Huh. It hadn't been washed. Then how had it ended up here?
Bruce obviously hadn't missed it and Jason's nest was lacking a lot of scents right now. Not that Jason wanted their scents. But holding the piece of clothing brought a nostalgic feeling.
"Ah fuck it," he muttered
Carefully, he laid the sweater beside the blanket right under his pillow.
"Perfect," he murmured
The old man didn't need to know.
xxx
"What the Hell?" Jason did not yelp as something under him squeaked
It was a fluffy squirrel.
A fluffy squeaking squirrel.
"Jesus Fucking Christ," he muttered, picking the thing "How did you get in here?"
And now he was talking to the thing. It was a cartoonish squirrel with brown fur and an orange belly, colours muted from time. He could still smell some of the old scents on it, specifically Dick's.
It must have been from Dick's childhood stash of stuffed toys. The alpha had a habit of leaving them around just in case one of his siblings wanted them.
He never left them in rooms though.
Still, it was a soft toy and nice. As long as it didn't make that insufferable noise.
Jason wrapped the squirrel in a blanket at the left of his spot. Close enough but too far to squeak.
"Great," he said softly and snuggled down
xxx
Jason dumped his winter things on the ground and was surprised when a yellow scarf fell out.
He wouldn't be caught dead in that colour.
It did kinda look like Tim's scarf though. They had been putting away their outside clothing and each one of them had made a quick pile each to bring upstairs to their room.
Tim's scarf must have ended up with his things.
Jason picked it up and ran his hands over it. it was soft and still held some of Tim's lemon scent. Jason might like to tease Tim by calling him 'lemon freshener' whenever the little omega got excited but he had to admit the scarf felt nice.
And it wasn't like Tim was going to use it until the next winter anyway.
The scarf ended up right next to his pillow.
xxx
Jason frowned as he nearly tripped on a piece of clothing.
A tan leather jacket.
Now a leather jacket wasn't exactly an unusual sight in his room but this one wasn't his.
He quickly dialled a number and waited for the phone to be picked.
"Hey,"
"You forgot your jacket here, shithead,"
"Oh, that's where it went. I wasn't exactly sober when I called that cab from the manor,"
"Want me to bring it around?"
"Nah, keep it. I gotta go now. Bye,"
"It doesn't fit me, asshole!"
But Roy had already hung up.
Jason sighed and carefully folded that jacket into his nest. If he wasn't going to wear it he could at least find another use for it.
xxx
Jason nearly laughed when he saw the blanket right outside the family nest. It was blue and covered in garish pink hearts.
Whatever they weren't comfortable putting in their own nests ended up beside the family nest. Then the family would decide together if it should be put in the nest.
Jason picked it up and smiled. Damian's scent. Dick had probably brought it for the little omega pup and Damian not wanting to hurt the pack alpha's feeling had probably used it for as long as he could stand to.
Jason brought it up to his nose and inhaled. Dates and honey, the pack pup's trademark scent.
He could take it. Bruce had made it clear that they're individual nests took priority and it wasn't like it had been added to family nest yet.
The blanket ended up right under Jason when he slept.
xxx
Alfred didn't accidentally leave things anywhere. Nor did he forget where he put anything. It just didn't happen.
Which meant that the suit jacket had been left there on purpose.
And then he remembered what Dick had told him years ago when he had still been Robin.
'Alfred was raised in a weird time so old habits die hard. He doesn't nest much but he'll discreetly leave some things lying around for you to use. If you don't want them, just bring them to me or Bruce,'
Jason smiled and took the jacket to his nest, folding right beside the squirrel.
xxx
"He's lying on top of the blanket!"
"I told you it would work, Grayson,"
"Aw, squeaky is wrapped up in a blanket,"
"He seems to like all our things,"
"Hn,"
"I almost wanna squish him,"
"He is pretty adorable,
Someone cleared their throat.
"Maybe we should leave. We don't want to wake Master Jason, do we?"
"Right,"
"Sorry, Alfie,"
"Oops,"
"Apologies Pennyworth,"
"Let's go, boys,"
xxx
Jason eventually grew comfortable enough to as the for things on his own.
"You know its weird," said Jason, "I always ended up with your guys' things in my nest anyway,"
He didn't notice the way Bruce and Alfred smiled or the way his brothers elbowed each other or the way Roy was grinning from his side.
He was just glad to be with the pack.

warnings: abusive relationship, abuse, beating, strong language
🎶insp.
Jason and Y/N were best friends since day 1. They were always there for each other. Y/N could always run to Jason if she had a problem and he would always come up with a solution (or if words didn't work Jay would beat anyone who made his best friend sad). Jason could always count on Y/N; if he was sad or angry she could always make him feel better, no matter what.
Y/N was there when Jason found his mother; when Bruce took him in, when he became the new Robin. When he died and when he come back to life. Everything that happened to Jason, Y/N knew about it. She knew about the Outlaws, she was even friends with Roy and Kori. Y/N even helped them out a few times during missions, as much as Jason disagreed with the idea of his best friend running around in a supersuit with them. He doesn't want Y/N to get hurt, or worse. He couldn't forgive himself. And he couldn't live without her; without her voice as she comforted him; without her fingers playing with his hair when they were having movie nights or without her beautiful smile... Because, the thing is, that Jason is hopelessly in love with Y/N.
But she had a boyfriend, his name is Zack and as far as Jason knows he made her happy.
And Jay knows Y/N. So when Jason sees her walk towards the table he is sitting at, in front of the café, he instantly knows that something is not right.
It was the middle of summer but Y/N is wearing a long sleeved shirt with a red scarf that Jason got her for last christmas.
"You freezing or what?" Jason heard himself saying before got up to hug the girl.
"Jeez, good morning to you too, Mr. I Wear Leather Jacket and Boots All The Fucking Time." Y/N quietly chuckled as she carefully hugged back the vigilante, trying not to hiss when Jason wrapped his muscular arms around her, touching her hidden bruises. "Can't I wear a nice outfit for once?"
"You always look nice ,princess." 'Beautiful, even' he tought to himself than gestured towards the two iced coffees on the table. "I already ordered us drinks"
"Hmm my favorite! You know me so well Jaybird!" the girl sat down and instantly took a sip of the coffee. "Gosh this has caramel in it?! I love you!"
Jason grabbed his cup too and brought it to his lips. "Yeah, yeah I know you do. But what's up Y/N? I haven't seen you for a whole month!"
"Don't look at me like that! I'm not the one who went away for a top secret mission!" Y/N whisper shouted than continued "But I'm fine... Tell me about the mission!"
Jason raised his eyebrows. She only said 'I'm fine' and then moved on. Something is totally wrong.
"I can't, sorry. It's top secret. Buuut you could tell me what's wrong. Cause something is wrong. I can see"
Y/N opened her mouth than closed it not knowing how to respond. Jason leaned forward and put his large hand on Y/N's.
"You know you can tell me everything, N/N."
"I know Jay....it's just.." she took a deep breath before continuing "I just had a small fight with Zack but that's all."
"What? Why? Are you okay? You can stay at my place if you want."
A nervous laughter left her lips as she shook her head.
"No it's fine. It was just a silly argument. I don't even know why we started it. But don't worry it will be fine, we always make up. I just couldn't really sleep because of it." Y/N lifted her coffe to her mouth again.
"What do you mean by 'we always make up'. Do you fight often?"
"Fuck" Y/N cursed quietly for letting that information slip that she indeed had a few fights in the past. "I.. Yeah. But it's fine. We always make up in a few hours."
Jason couldn't believe his ears. When did this happen? When did Y/N started to hide these kind of things from him?
"For how long?" was the only thing he could say.
Y/N looked at her glass, the table, at her shoes, everywhere except for the beautiful blue eyes of Jason.
"For... A few months." Y/N hoped that Jason wouldn't hear from the noise of the few passing cars but when she saw his face fall, she knew Jason heard her clearly.
She closed her eyes, expecting Jason to shout at her but instead she felt his arms wrapping around her.
"Why didn't you tell me, princess?" Y/N hugged back Jay while fighting the tears in her eyes.
"I... I didn't want to worry you. I thought I could handle it on my own."
"And you could?"
No.
"I..." No. There's no way she will Jason about how Zack... How he hurt her. That would only cause unnecessary problems. "Kinda. I think I need to talk to him but... Yeah. Everything will be fine. I can handle it"
"Are you sure? I can help if you want me to." he smoothed her hair away from her face. Jason wasn't really convinced but he is not going to push her, she doesn't need more stress. Y/N shook her head.
"Thank you Jay but it's better if I do it alone." she finally looked in his eyes. "Seriously Jay. Thank you for being here for me."
"Of course, you do the same for me. Now, do you wanna go somewhere else? To get your mind off of it."
"Yes, that would be nice."
Jason pulled you to your feet and held out his hand for you.
"I know just the place. Please follow me, M'lady." laughing at his adorable attempt of a british accent Y/N linked their arms together and followed him.
(a few hours later)
Y/N pushed the front door open with her free hand. She put down her paperbag full of books and closed the front door. Just when she turned the keys in the lock she heard a voice from behind her.
"Where were you?"
Even though the voice was quite calm and gentle, it took Y/N by surprise making her jump a little.
"Holy shit Zach you scared the living shit out of me!" the girl snaped as she finally turn around to find his boyfriend. The man looked down at his feet, ashamed and clearly feeling guilty.
"I'm sorry baby... What I did last night... I went too far. I know and I want to apologize" he reached out, his eyes finally raised to meer Y/N's, and tried to brush away a lock of hair but she flinched away. Pictures of yesterday popped in to her head and she drew in a sharp breath.
Zack stood above her, shouting about how she was a bitch because of the way she dressed. He went on and on about how a guy was checking her out and how Y/N flirted with him even though she didn't even acknowledged the guy but Zach didn't want to hear about it. He raised his hand and... Y/N shook his head trying to forget it.
"Look Zach I... I really don't want to talk about it."
"It won't happen again baby." he leaned down to kiss the girl but Y/N backed away.
"Yeah. But how many times have you promised?" the words just seemed to slip out on there own against the girl's will. Even though it was a quiet whisper Zach must have heard it cause he tilted his head in curiosity.
"What was that?"
Y/N looked at him with a sudden confidence.
"I... you say that all the time. I'm getting sick of always believing your lies"
Y/N truly believed that Zach was going to hit her so she shut her eyes close. So when she felt his fingers caressing her cheeks she froze on the spot.
"Is that so, princess?" Zach leaned so close that his lips brushed against her  (skin color) skin. His voice sounded so sweet. Too sweet. "You say you're sick of my lies? Hmm? Than tell me where were you baby."
"You know that I was out with Jason"
"Of course I know you were with him but who is he to you?"
"What? I don't..."
"Just answer the damn question!" his mellifluous tone sounding angrier with each sentence.
"He is my best friend, Zack."
"Ahaa!" Zack screamed excitedly making Y/N jump. "There it is! Our first lie."
"I know he is more than that! Hell even that lady tought that he was your boyfriend when we were at the cinema!"
"Only because you were tying your shoelaces and the lady only saw Jason standing next to me! Jesus Zack! This happened months ago, don't start this shit again!"
Zack straight up ignored Y/N and continued.
"And you didn't even try to correct her! You just stood there, laughing nervously, glancing at that bastard. If I wouldn't have been there you would have agreed, wouldn't, you? Maybe even grab his hand, hmm? Lay your head on his shoulder and giggle? Like the little bitch you are... "
" Holly shit, Zack! Do you hear yourself?! Are you insane? I. Have. Never. Cheated. On. You. Can you understand? I fucking loved you! How can even say these things?"
Zack step back a little, so Y/N didn't feel so trapped. She couldn't read anything off of his face. He just stared at her blankly. A few seconds passed like this making a terrible tension, and just when Y/N was about to say something, Zack's quiet voice broke the silence.
"... loved...
        loved?
LOVED?!" by the end he was shouting at her, screaming like a maniac. "WHAT DO YOU MEAN 'LOVED'?! you don't love me anymore?"
"... How can I, Zack? How can I love you after the things you have done to me? I refused to say this for so long, because I still had some hope... But now I know that you're not the man I fell in love with. Zack. I'm breaking up with you. "
What came after is blurred, Y/N didn't know what happened first. Zack pushing her against the door or him grabbing her by the neck making her gasp out for air in pain.
" You are not breaking up with me" he tossed her on the floor and kicked her toward the couch. "You hear me you bitch? You're not breaking up with me!!" he hovered over her, slowly raising his hand to slap him.
                                                          ~°~
After saying his goodbyes to Y/N, the smile slowly froze off Jason's face. Something's not right. Something's not fucking right.
That's all he could think of as he went up on top of the building. There's more to it.
Thoughts like this crossed his mind as he sat done on the edge of the roof, next to his favorite gargoyle. He reached in his pocked for a box of cigarettes, pulled one out and placed it in his mouth. Looking down at the city, Jason took a drag from his cigarette and slowly exhaled. Looking down he saw cars passing by and tiny silhouettes of humans crossing the road.
He always loved to sit here. Back then when he was younger, when he was Robin, he like to come up because he always felt like he is in control. Like he is on top of everything and noone can tell him what to do. And now he is here because he doesn't know what to do.
Sighing he run his free hand through his hair and then grabbed his phone. Unlocking it he opened the contacts and scrolled down to the letter 'R' and clicked on the name Roy. As the archer picked up, Jason put him on speaker and placed his phone on his thigh.
"Hey man, whats up?" Roy asked holding his phone with his shoulder so he could stir the boiling pasta.
"Hi Roy. I..uhm met Y/N today."
"Uuuu! How is the little N/N?"
Jay shook his head, even though he knew Roy couldn't see him. He quickly exhaled some smoke before speaking.
"Honestly? I don't know."
"What? You always know what's going on with her!"
"I thought so too. But it seems like I was wrong."
"Okay, tell me everything bud. I'm listening." the ginger haired man walked over to the fridge to get some cheese.
"It's about her boyfriend. She said that they are fighting. And she was...so wierd, man. I think she is not telling me everything."
"Well shit. I wasn't expecting that. Hmm... I don't know Jaybird. You 100% sure it her boyfriend? You're not jealous or anything?"
"What!? No! You know that I love her, and all I want is her to be happy but she is not Roy! I'm telling ya, something's fucked up."
"Than I think you should pay her another visit. Just to check everything's cool and maxbe we could all get together for the weekend. Maybe she'll open up if we are all there for her."
"Yeah that's a good idea. I'm gonna check in if she's fine. Thanks, bud!"
" 'f course. Call me if you need me Jay."
" 'kay. Bye!"
Jason hang up and finished his cigarette. He got up and decided that jumping from building to building will be faster that walking to Y/N's apartment. Not that it's that far away but Jay wanted to hurry for some reason.
                                                           ~°~
Just as Zack raised his hand to slap Y/N, the sound of breaking glass rang through their home, making Zack stop and look up in suprise.
"What the fucking hell is...." but he couldn't finish cause a very angry Jason jumped on him causing both of them to end up on the floor. Jason sat on top of Zack as he started to beat him up.
Y/N layed there still scared and shocked, silently crying as she listened to the terrible yet satisfying sound of Jason's fist meeting with Zack's face, over and over again.
Lost track of time, the girl slowly sat up trying to catch her breath. After that she crawled next to Jason and put her hand on his.
"Jay.. Stop. He is not worth it..."
Jason looked at his best friend and he felt his heart skipping a beat as he saw the bruises on her neck which was no longer covered by the scarf, as it fell down as Zack pushed her on the floor.
Jason stood up and grabbed his gun so quickly that Y/N couldn't even process his movements for a second. But when she did, she jumped to her feet too. Jason had the gun aimed at the bastards head but Y/N grabbed his hand.
"No, Jay. Please don't."
"You can't be protecting him after this!"
"I am not protecting him, Jay. But I don't want you to have this on your conscience too. No, the police will take care of him."
"Y/N..."
"Can we leave now? Please?"
Jason's eyes softened as he lowered his gun. He nodded and gestured towards the door. Y/N slowly walked towards it but Jason leaned down and whispered in Zack ear before moving away from his half conscious body.
"You're lucky she is here. Otherwise I would have gutted you. And don't worry, I'll make sure you rot some place terrible. Like... Arkham? A sick bastard like you would fit just right in with the rest of the freaks." he finished his little speech with a good kick in his stomach and ran to catch up with Y/N.

Everyone Crushing on Jason 2
Today is my birthday, and I’ve got a present for you all! It’s chapter 2 of the ECoJ AU! Later tonight I’m going to post the first on AO3 under the title Jay-Crazy, then a few days later I will add this chapter tow it and then all future chapters will be simulposted. So I hope you all enjoy this slice of complete crack.
If you missed Chapter 1, it’s here.
- - -
“Holy shit, who is that?” Hal demanded of Barry, jabbing his friend with his elbow to get the hero's attention.
They were in the Watchtower Satellite after routing a poorly orchestrated alien invasion attempt. Even compared to the usual morons that thought they could conquer Earth despite it's super-powered protectors, it had been especially inept and the whole endeavor had barely made it to the ground. Martian Manhunter, Cyborg and the Watchtower scanners had detected the alien vessels quickly and, once hostility was ascertained, the satellite and vacuum-hardy heroes like the Kryptonians and Lanterns  lit their asses up. A small force managed to slip by their attacks and make it to the Earth, but according to MM, a hastily dispatched contingent of available JLA members mopped them up easily enough. Hal hadn't heard any of the reports, was actively avoiding them to be honest, but everyone seemed to have come out of the incident alright except the bad guys, so he'd say everyone in participation had earned a beer, especially himself for being a front-line badass. Too bad he was stuck on the Watchtower until the all-clear went through.
He and Barry had just managed to dodge an after-action report with ugh Batman and were loitering in the infirmary—partly because Barry suggested they should be around in case anyone needed more hands with the injured, but mostly because Hal had found out the Bat was allergic to medical care—when Hal's eyes had zoned-in like a laser on the most exquisite pair of tits he'd ever seen on a man.
Jesus that chest was toned! Hal didn't know what kind of exorcize gave a guy pecs developed enough to spill out of your hand, but this guy was doing them and clearly never skipped. Hal was damn near hypnotized as he watched the man strip out of thigh holsters and shrug out of black reinforced-Kevlar body armor that zipped up from the back, revealing a body like a battle axe, hard, cut and stacked, shoulders broad and muscular. The man's legs were insane, his thighs were bigger than Hal's head! He looked like he could dead-lift Hal with one hand and Hal was suddenly wishing the guy would try.
Hal had pretty much been sold before he managed to take in the full package, but lighting on the guy's face Hal realized he was young, in his early to mid twenties, and almost painfully good-looking, even with the domino mask obscuring his eyes. His hair was dark and had a hint of a wave, longer on the top of his head and short at the sides, and at his temple was an interesting streak of white. His face was long and he had a wide, dynamic mouth that was on the verge of a snarl as he argued something with—oh, hey, Nightwing! Damn, he'd been so distracted with the view that he somehow missed that Nightwing, AKA the best ass in the entire vigilante community, was trying to stitch up a nasty three-inch gash in the mystery man's side that should have curbed Hal's arousal but somehow just made him hotter. Yeah, Hal liked the battle-worn and sweaty look all of a sudden.
Barry squinted where Hal was staring (he assumes, Hal refused to look away from those drool-worthy abs, squeezable pecs and powerful arms and back muscles that had him drooling a puddle on the infirmary floor). Luckily his friend had an answer for him because Hal needed a name to put to that amazing piece of real estate ripe for the tapping that had presented itself before him.
Barry's voice was incredulous as he answered, “That's Red Hood. You know, the guy we all voted into the JLA two nights ago?”
Eh, Hal never paid attention at those things. “Remind me, will you?”
“Gotham Vigilante. Like Nightwing, he used to be Robin. He was a bit of a villain until a few years ago, but he's cleaned up his act and Batman vouched for him—which is all information you should know if you listened at the meetings,” Barry complained. “Don't tell me you voted for someone without knowing anything about them again, Hal...”
Hal tore his gaze away from the smoking hot Red Hood so he could roll his eyes at Barry. “Does it really matter? You listen to the boring stuff and look into all these people and I just vote what you vote.”
Barry sighed, wearily shaking his head. “Hal, that's not--”
Hal raised his fingers to Barry's lips and cut his friend off mid-sentence. “Shh—Daddy's on the prowl,” he whispered and bobbed his eyebrows suggestively.
The speedster's wince was clearly communicated despite his mask as he shoved Hal's hand away from his mouth. “Please don't let me ever hear you refer to yourself as 'Daddy' again, Hal. I'm begging you.”
Hal smirked and clapped his friend on the shoulder. “Begging me, huh? Don't let Iris hear about this, she'll be jealous.”
“Why are we friends again? I can't say anything to you,” Barry mused, covering his face in embarrassment, ready to phase through the floor to disappear from the conversation.
“Don't know, but here is where I leave you, pal.” Hal gave a lazy two-fingered salute and grinned. “I've got a pair of pants to get into or die trying—and the pants don't belong to me!”
“I don't even know what to say...” he heard Barry profess as Hal smoothed his hair and strode confidently across the infirmary floor to where his future—Boyfriend? Sex friend? Morning regret? He'd take what he could get, honestly—had an arm resting on Nightwing's back while the other vigilante was underneath it, bent over his side, putting stitches into the long red gash across the man's ribs. And honestly it spoke to the power, or maybe just the novelty, of his new obsession that he wasn't drifting behind Nightwing to get a view of his fantastic booty, but was marching straight up to Red Hood, ignoring Nightwing almost entirely.
But no sooner had he stepped up to the plate then Guy Goddamn Gardner stepped out in front of him with his dumb red hair and his cocksure strut, cutting off his path.
“Hey, is that your jacket, there? Looks nice,” his rival Lantern said, nodding to a brown leather jacket laying on the medical cot next to Red Hood.
Guy's head blocked his view as he raised a brow in disbelief. 'Hey, is that your jacket, there'? 'Looks nice'? What kind of opening line was that? The hell was Guy playing at?
The Red Hood looked up from where he'd been scowling at the floor—damn, his scowl was mean, it was freaking hot—to eye Guy with the confused incredulity such a stupid ice-breaker deserved.
“Uh, thanks?” Hood said, sounding confused as to why anyone was talking to him, which was vaguely adorable to Hal for some reason. “'s kinda breezy, though. Gotta few bullets holes I haven't patched up yet.”
Hal thought he was going to melt into the floor. Shit, even Red Hood's voice was hot. On the deeper end of baritone with a street-sounding drawl Hal had only ever heard in movies because most people didn't actually have accents that strong.
Gotham vigilante, huh? He sure sounded like it. Hal usually had a 'no Bats' policy when it came to pretty much everything in his life he could manage, but this guy seemed different, more chill, more down to Earth than the usual Bat—or maybe Hal was just making excuses to justify sucking face with the guy. Whatever, he wasn't about to question it. The dick wants what the dick wants.
“Yeah, I used to do the whole leather jacket biker-schtick,” Guy said, his usual cockiness leaking into his tone as he flipped up the collar to his vest as if he actually thought he looked cool emulating a 60s greaser. He pointed a thumb at himself with pride as he said, “I incorporated it into my Lantern uniform and everything. It's a one of a kind style in the corps.” Hal could hear the attempt at a smolder in Guy's voice as it dropped half an octave and he praised, “I bet it doesn't look as good on me as it does on you, though.”
Red Hood's expression slanted into bafflement, mind clearly whirring as he processed the words spoken to him, turning them over every which way before hitting on the realization that he'd just been hit on. All at once Red Hood's cheeks blushed pink and he reached a hand up to tug through his hair anxiously, almost as if he wasn't used to people pulling out corny one-liners trying to get his attention and he had no idea what to do about it. It was so damn cute that Hal's brain momentarily ceased to function. Hal was stunned, amazed, incredibly turned on. What the hell, how does someone who looked like they could punch a hole in a car door, no powers necessary, and shoot you without remorse, look that sweet and innocent? It would be wrong if it wasn't so sexy.
Crap, he couldn’t let this go on. Hal had to get in there and break this up or he was going to be shown up by freaking Guy Gardner of all people, and that was something he simply couldn’t allow, especially when someone this good-looking was on the line.
“Okay, move over Horatio, the real Green Lantern has arrived,” Hal said, reaching out to physically maneuvered Guy out of his way before the other Lantern realized what was happening. Taking advantage of the opening, Hal swooped in to his place in front of the delectable Red Hood, whose eyes flicked from Guy to Hal and back quickly, with the almost creepy assessing intelligence that Gotham vigilante's were known for.
Hal offered a hand and his most dazzling smile. “Hi, Red Hood? I'm Hal Jordan, AKA Green Lantern, AKA Earth's first and best Green Lantern, AKA one of the JLA's founding members. I hear you just got accepted into the league, congrats! I bet you'll be a worthy addiction—I mean, addition, around here. Maybe after Wings finishes fixing you up I could show you around? I know all the best spots to avoid Batman.”
The Red Hood didn't take his hand but his mouth stretched into a lop-sided grin, a thing of brightness with a hint of mischief that had Hal going weak in the knees and he didn't know what he said to get said smile but damn was he going to enjoy it. Red Hood snorted in amusement. “'All the best spots to avoid Batman', huh? Maybe I'll take you up on tha—ow!”
Red Hood scowled down at Nightwing who was glaring at the Red Hood's wound as he tied off his stitches. “Oops,” he deadpanned, sliding his disapproving gaze Hal's way. Hal narrowed his eyes back, not sure when the guy had put on that party-pooper bat-look Hal hated, but now he suddenly couldn’t forget the other vigilante had worn the cowl of his greatest rival, world-class busybody Bruce Wayne. He'd always liked Nightwing better in the role of the big bat—he was more laid back, he cracked jokes even if they were mostly stupid puns—but he might have to reassess that opinion. Apparently Nightwing had picked up a thing or two from his mentor. Specifically, how to make Hal feel like scum for breathing.
Hal opened his mouth to ask Nightwing why he was here and what his relationship even was with Red Hood, but before he could confront his potential cockblock, Guy grabbed Hal by the arm and dragged him away to the corner of the room with a mumbled, “Excuse us, guys...” as Hal complained, “Hey, easy on the goods there, Guy!”
As soon as they were out of ear-shot, Guy rounded on Hal with fury in his face. His usually pale complexion was flushed red with anger and embarrassment, twin to his fiery red hair.
Guy shoved Hal hard enough to rock him back on his heels, whisper-shouting, “What the hell, Jordan! Why you gotta butt into my business?”
Hal scoffed. “Your business? No no no, I let you have first crack, but now it's my turn.”
Guy snorted and got in his face, as if he actually thought he could back down the GL Corps original 'man without fear' with his inadequate self. Please, Guy wasn't even close to his level. “You didn't let me do anything, Jordan. I saw him first and you just shoved your way in, like an asshole!”
Hal threw up his hands, unrepentant. “Hey, the man has a right to make his own choices, and clearly the better choice is yours truly. I'm just presenting him the option of my amazing self.”
Guy looked ready to strangle him with his bare hands, which was pretty typical of the man. “Why do you always have to be number one, huh Jordan?” he demanded and an edge of pleading entered his voice that put a momentary damper on Hal's sense of entitlement. “I might have found my soulmate here, why can't you just let me have this?”
Hal frowned, suddenly uncertain. Did Guy know Red Hood previously and have some relationship with him Hal didn't know? Was there some connection between the two that Hal was selfishly getting in the middle of?
“Soulmate?” he asked, crossing his arms over his chest and regarding his fellow Lantern with skeptical but open ears. “You think Red Hood is the one, huh? What makes you think that?”
Guy's face turned dreamy-eyed and dopey as he explained, “I saw him right-hook an alien in the jaw, take the goon's own gun and blast his face off in a quarter of a second, then back-flip off a car and detonate an explosion that wiped out a landing craft. I fell in love instantly Hal, this is the real deal, man!”
Oh, so he didn't have a connection, Guy was just being typical Guy.
Hal rolled his eyes, unimpressed. “He's not your soul-mate, you just saw him do something badass and now your smitten!”
“Well you just saw him take off his shirt and now your smitten,” Guy countered with a snarl, “At least my reason isn't superficial!”
Hey, physical attraction was usually the first step to a relationship, or so he'd heard somewhere. It was human nature to see a hot body and go after it. “There's nothing wrong with—”
“Hey!” Hal heard as someone snapped their fingers in front of his nose and he looked over to see another fellow Lantern, Kyle Rayner, gracing both of his predecessors with something like irritated disbelief. “Are you two seriously fighting over Jason Todd of all people?”
“So his name is 'Jason Todd'?” Guy perked up, voice soft, “I love it. It just perfectly captures his, like, his everything, and—”
Hal shook his head. “Words are not your strong suit Guy, just stop.” Please.
Kyle pinched the bridge of his nose beneath his Green Lantern's mask, wearing a pained look as he said, “Okay, let's just put on hold the absurdity that is anyone thinking that dickhead Todd is attractive enough to pursue despite his garbage fire of a personality--”
“Woah, that's a bit harsh Rayner,” Hal said with a raised eyebrow, taken aback by the fierceness of Kyle's insult. What the heck? The kid was usually so nice. What did he have against the other man, how did he even know him?
“—aside from all the obvious reasons Todd is a bad idea,” Kyle went on, ignoring him. “If you're really interested, then you guys have way bigger problems than each other.”
Guy crossed his arms and tilted his head in question. “The heck are you talking about?”
Kyle jerked a thumb behind him and Hal looked over his shoulder to find the object of his and Guy's affections, Red Hood, one Jason Todd, was crowded by no less than Supergirl, Superboy, Booster Gold, Arsenal and Starfire, as Nightwing and Orphan hovered nearby like stodgy nannies. Kara had actually latched onto one of Red Hood's arms like a leach and was pressing her breasts against the man's biceps as she covertly ran her eyes all over him, no doubt putting her Kryptonian x-ray vision to good use (so unfair). Superboy—the older one, Kent's kinda-clone, not his kid—was trying to shove Kara out of the way and insert himself into the conversation, but the girl was clinging fast and refused to let go. Booster Gold was yacking and gesticulating, trying to draw attention to himself, but Red Hood seemed to be ignoring him in favor of chatting with Green Arrow's old partner and the Tamaranean princess who were looking way too friendly, with Starfire's hand on his shoulder and Arsenal poking at his ribs, as Red Hood swatted back.
“What the hell is this?” Hal demanded, the unfairness of it all pissing him off. “We were there first, come on!”
“I was there first,” Guy corrected and clicked his tongue angrily. “Man, this is freaking bullshit. This is all your fault, Jordan!”
Hal huffed, indignant. “My fault? You're the one who dragged us away! If you hadn't we—”
“Seriously guys, don't fight over the Red Hood. He's the worst,” Kyle spat with an uncharacteristic vehemence. “He thinks with his gun instead of his head and he's a broody goth-nerd lone-wolf-wannabe who he doesn't know when to quit!”
Guy's face screwed up in confusion. “What's your angle here, Kyle? You're just making him sound hotter.”
Kyle put a hand on Guy's shoulder, inviting him to listen closely as he explained, “Look, he's not hot—I mean, yeah he is, he's like crazy hot—but he's not, trust me.”
Guy looked like his brain was struggling to keep up with Kyle's non-logic. Actually, Hal's was too. “You are making no sense,” Hal informed the kid.
Kyle didn't look especially bothered. “Just don't fight, okay? Seriously, I'll sic John on you.”
Oh, not John Stewart-stick-in-the-mud! He'd shut down their whole operation like the by-the-book buzzkill he was! Damn, when did Rayner get so bitter? The kid was still in his twenties but he was already old and jaded and wise to he and Guy's ways.
“Woah, calm down,” Hal said evenly, as if soothing a potential jumper away from the edge. “We don't need to get John involved. We're cool, right Guy?”
Guy was a bit closer to John than Hal was, so he wasn't sure if the other Lantern would back his play on keeping the third Lantern out of it, but Guy also seemed to realize they needed to think smart here.
“Yeah, we can act civil about this. Probably,” Guy said, fluttering his lashes innocently.
Okay, 'smart' was relative.
Kyle rolled his eyes, not in the least sorry that he was trying to ruin their day with a lecture from John about GL solidarity and keeping your mind out of the gutter, or whatever rules the architect-ex-Marine followed to keep his nose so damn clean.
“Yeah, sure you can,” was Kyle's skeptical retort. The younger man rolled his shoulders wearily and finally seemed to let up on the oppressive tone. “Well, I'm out of here—they sent out the all-clear, no casualties, so I'm flying to my apartment to crash.”
“Okay, goodnight, I guess. Good work out there,” Hal said by way of a goodbye.
The younger Lantern smiled back, suddenly more himself. “Thanks. You guys too.” As he started to walk away Kyle hesitated and stabbed a finger their way, saying, “And if you take my advice you'll stay away from Todd.”
With that, Kyle set off toward the door, only pausing as he walked passed Red Hood and his accumulated admirers to sling a snarky, “Not dead yet, asshole? Shame.”
Jason immediately reacted, throwing up a middle finger as he tossed out a, “Fuck you, Bitch-Lantern,” that sounded almost playful. “I've already come back once, what makes you think I wouldn't rise up from the grave just to kick your ass?”
Kyle was still walking towards the door, yelling back, “I'd like to see you try, Failure-Robin.”
“Suck a dick, Rayner, I could bend you in half,” Jason retorted easily.
“I've got a piece of alien jewelry that says otherwise.”
“I bet your ring runs out of power before I run out of bullets.”
Kyle huffed. “Pff, whatever.” He turned the corner out the door with a much more friendly, “See ya nerd.”
Red Hood rolled his eyes and flapped a dismissive hand at him. “See ya geek.”
Hal stared wide-eyed and dazed in Kyle's wake. The hell was all that? How the heck did Kyle know Red Hood, Jason Todd? And what was with all the belligerent sexual tension? Did he have to worry about Kyle now too? Damn it, this was getting out of hand!
“That kid's a problem,” Hal muttered darkly.
Guy looked like he had somehow fallen even deeper in love after hearing his crush shout at Kyle to suck a dick. “Shit, this is bad,” he said and Hal wasn't entirely sure what Guy meant by it, but he was also certain that the man was correct.
“I hate to say it, but I agree.” Hal chewed his lip, for the first time beginning to think this wouldn't be an open and shut case of show-up-get-laid. He might actually have to work for his prize. It would probably be worth it, though. God, but he could die happy crushed between those beefy thighs.
“Maybe we should...I don't know, join forces or something,” Guy offered.
Hal frowned. “How would that work?”
Guy raised both brows and pointed at himself with a deprecating chuckle. “You're asking me?”
Of course, what was he thinking? “Good point, um...” Hal thought a moment before he said, “How about...we share information and give each other space to work, but everyone else is the enemy. If either of us land him we back off.”
Guy nodded. “I'm game. Truce?”
“Truce,” Hal answered. They sealed their alliance with a fist bump, ring to ring, and both Lantern rings sparked green briefly. Hal and Guy dropped their hands and moved to regard their competition with zealous scrutiny.
“Right,” Hal said after a moment to strategize. “Now let's get in there. You try to push out Booster and the ex-Titans and I'll take the Supers.”
Guy punched a fist into his hand and grinned, ready for a brawl. “Got it.”

Uncle Jay

Fandom/Character(s): DC, BatFam - Jason Todd/Red Hood feat. Dick Grayson/Nightwing & Barbara Gordon/Batgirl
Rating: PG/K+
Original Idea: This post
Notes: (Masterlist)(By Character)(About Me) This was just a fun little thing! On Nightwing’s Wikipedia page it said that in one or two timelines Nightwing and Babs have a son named John so he makes an appearance @batboys-and-other-messes @welovegroot
^^^^^
"TALLY!" The delighted shriek of my name caught my attention as I walked home from the bus stop after work. I looked over to see little Johnny Grayson running down the driveway to me. He was wearing elastic waist kid jeans, Velcro kid sneakers, and no shirt. His three-year-old chest was covered in grease.
I dropped to my knees to greet him. "Hi buddy!" I exclaimed. "Why are you so dirty?"
"Nuh-uh, Johnny. Come back here---this is my time with my favorite nephew!" an unfamiliar voice called. A man emerged from behind the Grayson's SUV's popped hood. He had black hair and chiseled features. He wore greasy, ripped jeans and a grease-smeared white T-shirt that showed off his muscles. "Oh. I thought he was gonna run into the street." He scooped up Johnny into his arms. "Don't scare us like that, okay?" he asked.
I noticed Johnny parents---Dick and Barbara---sitting in lawn chairs halfway in the garage as Johnny muttered, "I'm your only nephew." He reached out for me.
I shook my head. "I'm not holding you when you're all dirty," I said playfully.
"Who are you again?" the unfamiliar man asked me.
Dick got off his lawn chair and came over to us. "Jay, this is our next-door neighbor Tally. Tal, this is my brother Jason. Y'know, I wondered when Johnny's two favorite babysitters were going to meet."
I stuck out my hand. "Jason Grayson. Rhymes. I like it," I said.
"Uh, it's Todd, actually. Jason Todd." He shook my hand.
"Oh. My apologies."
"Don't sweat it." He turned his attention to Johnny, shaking him playfully. "Gonna help me finish fixing the car, Johnny?"
"Yeah Unca Jay!" Johnny said.
"Awesome. Let's go!" He carried Johnny back to the car. Dick went and sat down on his lawn chair again but Barbara got up and strolled over to talk to me before I could leave for home.
"Hey Tal," she greeted.
"Hi Babs," I said.
"Dick and Jason were both adopted when they were older---so they have different last names," she explained.
"Ohhh! That makes sense," I said.
"Yeah. Hey, listen, I was actually hoping to talk to you about Jason. You and he are about the same age. He might be a year or two older than you. But you two have a lot in common. I was wonder if it'd be okay with you for me to give him your number. Y'know, try and set you two up."
I glanced at Jason over Barbara's shoulder. Bent over the car engine with the back of his shirt sliding up to expose an inch or two of skin while Johnny toddled back and forth, passing him various tools. Handsome guy, good with his nephew…
I shrugged. "Sure. That's fine. Can't guarantee anything will come of it though."
"No, no. That's fine. I just thought you two might like to go out and get to know each other. You might like each other."
"Thanks Babs."
"No problem, Tally."
"Have a good night, Graysons---and Jason," I called as I moved to leave.
"Night Tally!" Dick called.
^^^^^
"She plays Wobin," Johnny informed his uncle matter-of-factly once Tally had disappeared into her house next-door.
"Come again?" Jason asked.
"She… plays… Wobin," Johnny repeated slower.
"Wobin… Wobin… Oh! Robin!"
"Uh-huh!"
"Whenever she babysits, they play Batman and Robin," Babs supplied. "Guess who's Batman."
"This little slugger right here, probably," Jason teased, snatching his nephew around the waist and hoisting him into the air. Johnny squealed. Dick and Babs laughed.
"Yup," Babs said.
"So does she know?"
"Oh no. She has no clue," Dick said. "She just thinks John's really obsessed with Batman. And, to be fair, he is. Because he doesn't know either."
"Know what?" Johnny asked.
"Nothing you need to know yet, kiddo," Jason said, tickling Johnny's belly. The three-year-old squealed.
"Hey Jay?" Babs piped up, crossing her legs in thought. "What if I give you Tally's number? You two have quite a bit in common. Maybe you'd like to take her out. Y'know, one Robin to another."
Dick giggled.
Jason thought about it for a moment. "I don't know, Babs. Our lifestyle doesn't leave a lot of room for love."
"What do you call us, Jaybird?" Dick prodded, pointing between him and his wife.
Jason sighed. "I mean, it's dangerous to get close to civilians, Dick."
"The way you said did not sound like you were addressing me by my name," Dick observed.
"Boys," Babs chided. "C'mon Jay. Just take her out on one date. See if you like her. Even if you're not interested romantically, she might be a good friend for you."
"Heaven knows you could use a friend," Dick muttered under his breath.
Jason brandished a wrench at his older brother. "Don't make me throw this," he warned.
Dick raised his hand. "You know I'd catch it, little wing," he replied.
"Jason," Babs interrupted. "You still haven't answered my question. Can I give you her number?"
Jason threw his hands up in the air. "Fine! I'll ask your neighbor on a date!" he exclaimed, exasperated.
"See, Dick? I knew he could be reasonable," Barbara said to her husband. Dick chuckled.
^^^^^
"Jason? Have you asked Tally out yet?" Dick asked when Jason walked into their house. Dick was dangling by his knees from the bannister at the top of the stairs.
"Your wife gave me her number yesterday," Jason retorted.
"Yeah. Exactly. Ask her out while it's still relevant."
"Get off my stairs, Richard!" Barbara called from the kitchen. "You have an impressionable three-year-old in this house who I will not have falling from the stairs!"
Dick did a flip and landed on his feet. "Sorry baby."
Babs didn't respond.
"So? Call her. Ask her out!" Dick prompted.
"Dick…" Jason trailed off.
"Oh come on, little wing! It's been a while since you went on a date with someone you enjoyed that had nothing to do with manipulating a woman for information. Like, a real, genuine date with a nice, innocent, civilian girl. Set up the old-fashioned way---through friends and family. Do it as a favor to Johnny. If you like her, you two can babysit together. He would adore that."
Jason grumbled under his breath as Johnny came hurdling down the stairs, flinging his hug onto Jason's knees. "UNCA JAY!"
"Whoa there, buddy. I was just here yesterday," Jason said before sweeping his nephew up and into his arms. "Good morning."
"Mowning," Johnny said.
Dick edged around Jason, swiping the latter's phone out of his pocket. "Now, let's see…" He easily guessed Jason's password---688529 (or OUTLAW on the American number-to-letters keyboard)---and went scrolling through Jason's contacts. "Where's Tally's name…"
"Hey! Give that back!" Jason ordered, whirling around while Johnny squealed, "Wheee!" and tried to snatch his phone back with one hand.
Dick held it just out of reach, knowing Jason wouldn't let any harm come to Johnny. "Nope. I'm calling her. And then you're going to talk to her!"
"Dick!" Jason protested, passing Johnny to his mom so Jason could chase his brother around the house.
"Again, that doesn't sound like you're addressing me by my name," Dick said.
"Get back here. I'm going to wipe the floor with you!"
^^^^^
The William Tell Overture started loudly blaring from my phone in the middle of my otherwise-completely-silent office. I grabbed it from my desk and silenced the ringing before looking at the number.
It wasn't one in my contacts, but it had a Gotham area code and the same first three numbers as both Graysons' cell phones.
Shrugging, I got up from my desk and stepped out of the office. "This is Tally," I said.
"Tally, hi! It's Jason. Todd. Uh, Dick's brother. We met last night."
"Oh yeah. Hi! How are you?"
"I'm fine. I trust you're okay?"
"Yeah. Just at work. What's up?"
"Well, I just figured it's Friday so maybe I could, I don't know, take you out to dinner? Maybe a movie? I heard that new action thriller was good. If you're… into… that kind of thing…"
I snickered. "I love action movies," I said.
"Great! I'll pick you up around five? Is that okay?"
"Yeah that's perfect. I'll see you then."
"See you then."
^^^^^
"Where are you going?" my roommate asked.
"On a date."
"Really?!"
"Oh, don't sound so surprised, Allison," I complained. "I've gone on dates before."
"Yeah, Miss Few and Far Between."
"Shut up."
"So, who's it with?"
"You know the Graysons next door? Dick, Barbara, and their son John?"
"Yeah."
"Dick's brother."
"Huh. Okay. Cool. Have fun."
I straightened my jacket. "Thanks Allison. I'll call you if he turns out to be a major creep. Does this jacket look good with this outfit?"
"Tal. You know your leather jacket looks bomb with those skinny jeans. You'll be a knockout. In fact, I bet he blacks out from shock when you answer the door."
"Stop teasing," I said.
Ding-dong!
"Oh flip," I muttered.
"Chill out, Tal. You'll do fine. You've been on dates before."
"I know. Just wait till you see him, though."
Allison bounced her eyebrow. "Ooooh! Hot?"
"Very. You'll see."
She trailed me down the stairs. I yanked open the door. "Hi Jason!" I greeted.
"Hello Tally."
Allison whistled from behind me---a long, single drawn-out note as she strolled over. "Hi. I'm Tally's roommie. Nice to meet you."
"You too," Jason said. He looked at me. "Ready to go?"
"Yup!"
"Then may I?" He offered me his elbow.
"You may!" I slung my purse onto my shoulder better and took his elbow. "Bye Allison!"
"Bye Tal! Have fun. Don't do anything I wouldn't do!"
"You know I won't."
I shut the door behind me.
"Now. Let's see what trouble we can get into," I said.
Jason smirked suggestively. "You may wish you rephrased that, beautiful."
"We'll see."

“Mi cama es su cama”
JayTim Week 2018 | Day 4 - “Bed Sharing” (Day 6), Pt 4 of 6
AN: Okay, so, March is definitely one of the worst times of year for me, surpassed only by April, so, originally, I hadn’t planned on participating in this JayTim Week. But I couldn’t stay away from the “bed sharing” prompt, and thus this massive oneshot was born. Since I don’t like posting long works to tumblr, and the fic naturally split into six, roughly-even parts, I’ve decided to release one part each day up until day six, at which point I’ll also share a link to the entire work on Ao3. I particularly enjoyed writing this spur-of-the-moment monster, so I hope you enjoy reading just as much!
Tags: enemies to friends to lovers, pre-N52, slow burn, sleep deprivation
<< Part 3
---
Jason sagged under the weight of his equipment. It wasn't any heavier than it usual - his leather jacket, his bat-emblazoned armor, his gun holsters, his belts, his gadgets and grapplers - but right then it felt like ten tons and he wanted nothing more than to shed everything, sink down, and sleep right there. Coming back after a week-long fight against a world-wide alien invasion tended to that to you.
He pushed himself to move forward, toward the fluffy bed he hoped still waited for him in the next room. He was lucky this place was still standing and not on the verge of collapsing or on fire or in rubble as many buildings in Gotham were after the heavy hits the city had taken in the attack.
As one of the largest cities on earth, Gotham had attracted a fair bit of attention from the invading forces, and most of Jason's time had been spent trying to defend this sad concrete jungle from utter annihilation. Sometimes he had wondered why he even bothered, but then the frightened faces of the everyday people he'd seen as he helped evacuate large sections of the city - the people he'd seen help their neighbors, the adults he'd seen watch over children whether they were their own or not, the youths he'd seen help the elderly - reminded him that the city isn't the place, it's the people, and even Gotham City people - the real ones, not the crooks and the freaks and the corrupt officials - were just as human as any other people.
"Hello, bed," Jason mumbled, as he shuffled into his bedroom, the welcome sight of his beloved bed with its rumpled covers laid out before him. He blearily scanned the rest of the room, confirming that all four walls of the room were intact and that the ceiling wouldn't cave in on him as he slept.
"Hi, Jay."
He made it five steps into his bedroom before it finally registered that his bed had responded to him. He jumped back slightly and blinked rapidly. Now that he was staring right at it and was a fraction more awake than he was a moment before - thank you, adrenaline - Jason noticed his comforter seemed to be breathing, and then it registered that the rumples to the comforter were roughly person-sized. In particular, roughly Tim sized.
"Tiiiiiiiiiiimmmmmyyyyyyyyy."
The comforter rustled and a foot appeared, but the younger man didn't respond. A distant part of Jason was glad Tim had remembered to remove his boots before climbing in.
"Timmmmmyyyy, I wanna sleeeeeeep."
"Mmmmmkaythengetin," Tim mumbled from under the covers. Jay hobbled forward, carefully snagged a corner of the comforter, and peeled it up and off. Tim hissed as the cool air hit his skin and he scrunched his eyes up against the sudden brightness.
"Jaaaaaaaaaay, noooooooo."
"What're you doing?"
"Sleeping."
"No, why are you doing it in my bed. Go find your own," Jason demanded, reaching under Tim and attempting to pry him up from the bed. Tim's arms whipped out, grabbed for the edge of the mattress and locked on, the smaller man putting up a valiant fight against Jason's childish attempts to shove him out of the bed.
"Nooooooo, all my beds are toast."
Jason pulled back and sighed. "You mean all your safehouses got smashed?"
"Mmhmm. Smashed. Fire. C'mpr'mised."
"Then go to the Manor. If nothing else, the Cave has plenty of cots for sure."
Tim made a disgusted sound and reached a hand out blindly for the comforter. Jason made a game of moving the edge just out of Tim's reach until he finally gave up and let his hand flop back limply onto the mattress.
"B is a stupidhead and I don' wanna sleep on any cot," Tim whined. "This bed closer. And comfier."
"This bed mine, so get out of it so I can sleep," Jason ordered firmly.
"No, 's big enough for botha’ us. We'll share. Tha's what we do, right? Share our beds wit' each othaaaaaah," Tim explained sleepily, jaw cracking in an enormous yawn at the end.
Jason scrubbed his hands through his grimy, dusty hair and sighed once again, considering his options. He stared at his replacement as his mind slowly churned, and he couldn't help a small smile as he studied the younger man. In this whole time, Tim hadn't opened his eyes once. Either he was just that tired, or they'd finally reached the point at which Tim was no longer paranoid that Jason might stab him randomly at any second.
He resisted the urge to reach a hand out and ruffle the dark, fluffy strands of Tim's hair or run the back of his hand down the fine line of his jaw. He never would have admitted it before, but little Timmy was actually pretty cute, if you were into that sort of thing. He caught himself staring at Tim’s dusty-pink lips and shook himself out of idle thoughts of whether they'd be as soft or smooth as they looked; part of him wanted run the pad of his thumb across the bottom one, but another part wanted to suck the top one between his own.
He shook his head vigorously and chuckled at his own rambling thoughts. He must be pretty tired if he was thinking about little Timmy Drake in that way. He scrubbed his hands through his hair one last time then shrugged and gave in. After all, who could argue with the adorable logic of a sleep-deprived Timmy?
"Okay, we'll share," Jason agreed. He shrugged off his jacket, shucked of his boots, pants, and holsters and kicked all of it off to the side. He'd worry about the rest later. "Budge up, Babybird, so I can get in."
Tim moaned. "Nnnnoooo, not babybird."
"You have two seconds before I lay on you."
Tim grumbled a bit more but slowly wriggled himself over to one side of the bed. Jason sank down onto the mattress gratefully, immediately melting into the warm patch Tim had left behind. He pulled the comforter over them and tucked it in around them. Tim instinctively snuggled in as he reached over him to arrange the far corner, and Jason went along with it, curling around the smaller man in search of warmth.
After a few seconds of shifting and burrowing and pulling at the covers they finally found comfortable positions and settled in. Jason found himself nodding off almost immediately. He had almost drifted off entirely when he vaguely registered a voice in his ear.
"Wha?" Jason croaked.
"I said… 'not ba'ybird'…" Tim mumbled, his voice so slow and hazy he might have been talking in his sleep.
"Yes y' are. Y'r a little red robin, a fluffily li'l bird with your fluffy hair tha' stands up in th' mornin' and y'r a baby and y'r a babe."
"Not babe."
"Yeeeah, y'r a total babe, my bird babe, my babebird."
"Mmmmmnoooo, too sleepy. Argue later. Go sleep."
"You sleep, Babybird."
Tim groaned and made a clumsy attempt to elbow Jason in the ribs that mostly resulted in driving his arm under Jason's body uncomfortably. Rather than be annoyed, Jason chuckled and rearranged them. He looped his arms around Tim, pulled him in to trap his arms between them, and tucked the younger man's head under his own. Tim immediately quieted and melted easily into their collective warmth, his gentle breaths tickling Jason's collarbone.
The last thought Jason had as they drifted off together was that it wasn't all that bad, cuddling a "babybird" in his bed. Not bad at all.

Being the daughter of Barry Allen and Jason Todd’s significant other includes:
A/N: I hope this is up to your liking! If not, just request again with more details! And if you want a second installation to this which includes Bart, just ask, don’t be shy.
Requested by: @gradeatrash123
next
Your dad adores you so much; you’re his baby girl
I’m going on a limb here and say that you’re the oldest of your siblings - Don and Dawn
So growing up with your family, you’re a mix of Barry and Iris - dorky, silly, stubborn and flirty when need be
You’re also a speedster and Barry is a really great mentor. An easily jealous one, Iris may add, because whenever Wally tries teaching you, your father has this pouty look on his face. Jay merely smiles and will personally mentor you when he wants to tease Barry. Of course, all these speedsters are your mentors; you’re a family
Whenever you need help, you know you can approach any of them for help. And if it involves you crying, someone needs some beating up to the future and back, of course not literally. Maybe literally. Just don’t tell Iris and Joan
He brings you to meet the other heroes a lot, especially Hal and Oliver/Dinah. They grow to love you and see you as their own baby girl, much to Barry’s displeasure
You become a sidekick to your dad as much as Wally is
Hal will teach you the ways of flirting but you never have the heart to tell him you are an expert in that area thanks to your mother
Dinah will bring you (and occasionally Iris and Dawn) for a girl’s night out which includes going to the mall, mani and pedi, etc with some ass-kicking at the end of the night. Iris will be just a happy and proud by-stander
You got to meet Roy when he was still under Oliver’s mentorship and you both hit it off well. You guys become great friends, partners-in-crime even. Not really in crime, maybe sometimes, but just harmless pranks
Wally is usually the victim of these pranks and it always ends with a cold shoulder from him but with some affections, he will forgive you. Roy, not so much
When Oliver and Roy fought, both of you drifted and you hang out more with Wally instead
But, Wally has the (teen) Titans and even if you are invited to it, you refused. So you spend these time with your siblings or doing your own gig
Your siblings love you and whatever tricks they pick up from you always end with Barry just sighing and Iris giving you a disapproval look
But you are there with a proud grin and it is hard to be mad at them considering how they’re always looking at you for approval of some sort
You are the best older sister they can ask for as you help them with homework, hero missions, heartaches and everything in between
Having your own gig - after blessings from your mother and a hesitant father - means racing across the country and the world
You are more involved with missions overseas as America itself has heroes stationed across the country so there is little work for you within the country
During these missions overseas, you will take your time - sometimes it’s good to slow down as advised by Iris - to explore the city and of course getting some souvenirs for your family. Gag gifts are usually given to Wally, he still keeps them though
You meet the outlaws once on a mission overseas. While they are fighting off some goons, you are there for sightseeing after a mission well-done the morning before
After defeating them and seeing you are the only one around other than them, Roy realise how familiar you look and call out to you
You run to him to hug him and in your excitement, you forget about your powers so Roy ends up with more bruises from you than the goons themselves
Jason link your speed to the Flash fam and take note that you are the girl he always see with Wally when he was Robin so it all click in his head on how you are Barry’s daughter
Kori, not so much
After a hug session with Roy which ends with his almost death, you introduce yourself to the other two and Kori take an instant liking to you. If Iris was there, she would say how it is a perk of being a West-Allen
Jason couldn’t care less but seeing his best friend being more hyped with you around, he does not mind you sticking around
He realise why later on when he sees you two crafting some weapon together. At that moment, he realised he made decision
You didn’t really stay with them but return home when the day ends. But you’ll always come back after finishing your mission the following day
When Roy and Kori hook up, you and Jason feel compelled to spend more time together and leave them be. So there are days where both of you will explore the city together
“And you didn’t invite me? I thought I was your best friend?”
“We shall leave them be Roy, I sense love brewing within them.”
“OOooOOoo. I get to be best man!”
Jason wish you stay overnight sometimes
When Wally is lost in the speed force and everyone forgot him, you too forgot about him. But, you always had this empty feeling in your chest whenever you work at Star Labs without him there
At attempts to get the empty feeling in your soul, you travel more often and that means spending more time with Jason
Roy is with the Titans and Kori with the Teen Titans so it only leaves you two
Jason didn’t mind and find your presence to be calming. You two always joke around and sometimes flirt with each other. Okay, maybe more than just sometimes
Jason is overprotective of you so whenever the people he’s dealing with are uncultured swines, he makes sure they will not be interacting with you
After missions, you two will spend the rest  of the day walking through the city and if it’s late, to the bar you will go
You can’t get drunk and Jason has a high tolerance for it but it’s funny seeing a dorky side to Jason when he does get drunk
So when you didn’t show up one day and the few days after that, he gets a bit lonely but he brushes it off since he has missions to do
So when all is done and over, he returns to Gotham and all he can think of is you. He tries filling his days by helping his family, he’d rather be beaten by the Joker again than admitting that, but when the nights get a bit too long for his liking with no criminals to beat up, his mind always wanders back to you and what you’re doing in his absence
Dick, being the ever-perceptive older brother, knows he has girl troubles so he messages you
And one silent night, you speed over to the clock tower in Gotham, and there you see Jason sitting with his favourite gargoyle
When he turns to find you instead of his brothers, he is taken aback but before he can say  anything, words tumble out of your mouth at the speed of light and he cannot understand a single thing
So he approaches you, put his hands on your shoulder and tell you to slow down which you did and repeat the whole thing and he understands that you have been spending those days with Wally after him getting out of the speed force
You apologise over and over and to stop you from apologising again, he kisses you, after taking out his mask of course
Your eyes widen before fluttering to a close and you pull him closer by his leather jacket
His brothers are in the building over and are witnessing the whole thing. Dick is taking pictures and sending them to Wally
Wally sends them over to Barry and he is screeching

Pining and Pizza
Fandom: DC Comics
Relationship: One-Sided JayTim
Words: 1,214
Warnings: None
Summary: The title, I feel, is self-explanatory.
A/N: This is just a quick one-shot I felt the need to write. Trust me, I had to stop myself at the word count or I was going to go overboard and probably reach something like 5k to 8k. (*Chuckles nervously and side-eyes my 12k one-shot for JayTim week*) Anyway, enjoy this thing that popped into my head!
Edit: There is a part 2!
Tim furiously typed on his laptop, brows furrowed in concentration as he finished up his presentation for Wayne Enterprises the next day. He sat cross-legged on his bed, surrounded by a trash pile of water bottles and a few stray candy wrappers. All that he brought into bed with him. He hadn’t moved from his bed in 12 hours with the exception of going to the bathroom.
His phone laid on his dresser, completely forgotten despite buzzing five million times, all coming from Jason. His dress reflected his exhaustion--he wore a Red Robin onesie, complete with a cowl-hood, Jason got him as a joke, but found it to be actually quite comfortable and convenient (he didn’t have to bother with pants).
He let out a huge yawn, hearing and feeling his jaw pop as he did so. He stretched his arms up far above his head, letting out a loud sigh of satisfaction as his shoulders and spine popped. His hand went to rub at his tired and dry eyes as his other hand laid gently on the keyboard of his laptop. When he bent over the side of his bed in hopes of finding another water bottle, his disappointment shown in a huff. Luckily, he found a fun-size Twix, unopened, on the other side of his laptop when he went to hunt for candy to try to appease his disappointment. The wrapper ripped out and he stuffed half of it into his mouth, absentmindedly chewing on the confection.
With his hyperfocus, he failed to hear a knock on his apartment door...and when the person let himself in...and the loud yelling of his name.
“Hey, Timmybird,” Jason said, announcing his presence, “you haven’t answered any of my texts or calls for awhile. Watcha up to?”
Tim whipped his head up to find Jason leaning a shoulder against the doorframe casually, a smirk playing on the older man’s lips. Jason shirt would have stood to go up a size, his pants very form-fitting, his hair kind of flat from helmet hair and God, he looked good. Tim, on the other hand, looked a mess with a mouthful of Twix, bags under his eyes, and his eyes red from tiredness and staring at a screen too long--amongst other things.
He quirked his mouth a little and shrugged. “Nothing much,” he said, smacking the remaining food in an effort to not spit it out and look stupid in front of his crush.
Jason just hummed, forcing himself of the doorframe and started picking up empty water bottles from the coasts of Mount Tim. Tim quirked an eyebrow in confusion. “Uhh, what’re you doing?”
“I’m cleaning up this fuckin’ mess. There’s a difference between being a hot mess and a slob and you, Timmyboy, have crossed it,” responded Jason. He continued with his work, leaving Tim be for now.
A light pink dusted his cheeks and in a vain attempt to hide it from Jason, he pulled the hood of his onesie over his head and ducked, focusing (and failing spectacularly) at his laptop screen. Jason walked out of the room, then came back after a moment dragging Tim’s kitchen trash can behind him, then returned to cleaning.
The room fell to silence again with the exception of the rustle of trash and clicking of keys. After another minute, Jason finished cleaning all the garbage and Tim finally finished his presentation. The former dragged the trash can out of the room, and the latter closed his laptop, following the other with his eyes. Butterflies flitted in Tim’s stomach, and nothing Tim did would calm them down.
Jason returned, eyeing Tim with worry and amusement. Tim looked absolutely adorable with curiosity and exhaustion painting his features, him wearing the onesie, and his hands hidden beneath the fabric of the arm sleeves, gathered in an obvious attempt at being warm.
“What?” said Tim.
“Nothing. I got some pizza. Ya know, some real food compared to just the crap I found you surrounded by? Anyway, come on,” answered Jason, who waved Tim to follow him.
Tim did, and then noticed the smell of pizza hit his nose. How he hadn’t noticed before now he didn’t know nor did he actually care at that point. His stomach decided to demonstrate a whale’s call as he and Jason made it to the kitchen. Jason looked him funny, and Tim turned his head away in slight embarrassment.
He cleared his throat and went to search the cabinets for a couple of plates for the pizza. As he did so, Jason opened the pizza box, tearing the pieces apart to make sure they came apart nicely.
“So, Jay,” started Tim as he handed Jason a plate, “what made you come by? A case? Overbearing family? Painful loneliness?”
Jason gave him a pointed look, so Tim decided to keep going, just to see how ridiculous he could get before Jason said something. “Crippling depression? The anguish of existence? Oh, what else? Ooo, I know: Dick wanted brother-bonding time again.”
“Tim, dude, really?” said Jason.
“Not like you were answering.” Tim bit into his pizza.
“I wanted to see how far you’d go. You got pretty fuckin’ ridiculous.”
“I didn’t think the Dick part was too out there.”
“Fair point. But nah, you weren’t answering and I wanted to make sure you weren’t injured.”
Tim’s heart started beating faster in his chest and he nearly choked on the pizza going down. Jason eyed him wearily before Tim gave a thumbs-up to signal he was fine. Jason pushed a cup of water towards him, motioning him to drink. Tim obeyed without hesitation. “Thanks,” said he.
Jason nodded, then took the cup back and drained the remainder of the water. Tim watched intently as a little dribbled down Jason’s chin and he wiped it with the back of his hand. Tim tried so hard to contain a blush that threatened to betray him, so he stuffed his face with his pizza slice.
They continued eating in companionable silence, the occasional clink of plastic to marble punctuating. They both finished eating around the same time, Tim eating more than Jason, and both out their dishes in the sink.
“So, are you gonna leave now or…?” Tim asked, then trailed off.
Jason seemed a little hurt. “Not unless you want me to,” said he as he went to fetch his leather jacket. But Tim stopped him by grabbing his arm, albeit a little rougher than necessary.
“Nonononono, I just didn’t know if you had plans or whatnot. Would you, uh, join me for patrol tonight?” he said. “I mean, I kinda miss having a...partner...bro.” He laughed a bit nervously, playfully punching Jason in the arm. For the third time since he got here, Jason threw Tim another funny look. He seemed to be thinking something, and Tim didn’t much like that look.
Jason put down his jacket. “Alright, it’s decided. No patrol for you tonight.”
“Bu--,” Tim tried to interject.
“And to make sure you stay in, let’s make it movie night. You choose the film,” announced Jason happily. He made his way over to Tim’s movie rack and scanned over the titles while motioning Tim over.
It’s official: Tonight, Timothy Drake burns in pining hell.

Characters: Damian Wayne, Jason Todd, Dick Grayson Bruce Wayne & Alfred Pennyworth
Word Count: 2,440
Trigger Warning: Slight Swearing.
Summary: Unbeknownst to Bruce his youngest son was accepted to a summer study abroad program. Damian, overloaded with work, gives his father the cold shoulder and begins to flat out ignore him. Worried and angry Bruce decides to take matters into his own hands. Inspired by @pentapoda‘s drawing of college-age Damian. Click the Read More if you want.
XXXXX
“He’s studying abroad, sir.”
“Don’t lie to me, Alfred,” he threatened through gritted teeth.
The two men stood in the kitchen; on opposite ends of the room. While his butler was busy cooking an omelet he stood at the kitchen window, in full work attire; white shirt, black dress shoes, and a dark navy suit. He glared out into the bright sun of early morning. Bruce Wayne, billionaire, business mogul, Bat of Gotham, was too old to play these games with his youngest.
Not to mention that his youngest was too old to play these games.
“I would never dream of it, sir,” Alfred said as he plated the omelet.
“You can’t lie to me with one of my own, Alfred,” Bruce continued as he picked up his plate and walked to the table. “I used that exact line on that Carrie Kelly girl years ago.”
“I can assure you I’m not lying to you, sir. Master Damian was accepted to your… Well I can’t necessarily call the Ivy League school your alma mater since you never finished… And well you only went to it’s Gotham City campus and not the actual one.”
“Spit it out, Alfred” Bruce said with a twinge of annoyance.
“Master Damian has been accepted to Yale’s midsummer program at Oxford. I believe he said it was the BADA program. He has been attending for possibly a couple of days, now.”
Bruce’s jaw dropped in surprise and so did the bit of omelet inside his mouth.
“Maybe even a week’s time.”
“Call him.”
Alfred is startled by the request and starts to object to the idea. He tries to say that the boy is most likely in class. Then the aging butler proposes that the long distance call might not work. But his employer won’t hear any of it.
“Call him, Alfred. Now.”
He sighs and takes his phone out of his pocket.
“Phone call or video chat, sir?”
“Video chat.”
XXXXX
Damian loved Oxford. And London. And the entire United Kingdom. There was something about it that he adored but couldn’t quite put his finger on.
But mostly he loved his classes.
Acting appealed to him for many reasons. But the main reason was that he was never himself on stage. Whether he was playing Iago or Puck or Sir John Falstaff one thing was certain. He was never a Robin or a Wayne or an Al-Ghul there and never needed to be. He was nothing even remotely close to who he really was and he loved every second of it.
As he walked from his dorm to Magdalen College, not at all bothered by the crisp night air, his phone vibrated in his pants pocket.
A video chat from Pennyworth?
When he saw the caller ID cocked an eyebrow in confusion. Not because the elderly butler was calling him but because he was calling him at this time of night. The lateness of the hour meant it was rather early back home. Which could only mean that the decision for this impromptu video chat wasn’t made by Pennyworth.
Unless, Pennyworth was just feeling sentimental. Damian thought as he clicked the phone’s green answer button.
“Pennyworth.”
The old butler smiled at him from the phone’s screen. “Master Damian how are you this evening?”
Damian smiled back; “I am well, Pennyworth. Currently on my way to an evening class.”
“That’s wonder…”
The phone quickly moves and Alfred’s face is no longer in view. Worried that the butler might be in danger Damian yells into the receiver; threatening whomever might be bringing harm to the man. But when a face fills the screen Damian’s worry changes to fear in a heartbeat.
“!خدى”
“Son, don’t use that kind of language. I raised you better than that.“
His father wore an expression of angry calm and despite seeing it on many occasions it still sent a chill down the young man’s spine. It was all in the eyes; the anger. The rest of his father’s face remained entirely poised and unwrinkled. But his dark blue eyes were filled with fury and a mix of disappointment. It was an expression his father usually saved for the scum that ran the streets of Gotham. But that didn’t stop the Bat from using it on his children.
“I apologize, Father. You startled me. It won’t happen again; I promise.”
Bruce nods and the cold anger deflates from his face just a bit. In its place is a stern calmness. “Now… When were you planning on telling me you were accepted to the summer program?”
“After I finished.” Damian replies coldly.
“Father, I apologize for being rude but, I must get to class. I cannot be late as my professor is almost as strict as Grandfather and will surely have my head. But I will call you later. Goodbye.”
Damian ends the call before Bruce can respond and returns his phone to the front pocket of his jeans. He stands on the sidewalk for a bit staring at the night sky. Not a single star was shining yet and so the sky looked like calligraphy ink; an endless void of pure black. Despite everything the call made him miss his father, Pennyworth, and Gotham City itself. He sighs forlornly but straightens his backpack and continues his walk to class.
XXXX
They landed at the London airport around midday a couple of days after Bruce spoke to Damian. Despite their multiple refusals he insisted that the two of them fly out and check on the boy. He even gave them an entire speech to convince them to go. And now they were exiting one of the many Wayne Enterprises private jets.
“B usually saves those lines for the big boss battles, you know?” Jason said as he stretched trying to remove the tension in his body from the lengthy plane ride.
Jason wore his usual attire; dark blue jeans, a black shirt, brown leather jacket and black combat boots. Dick strode up beside him and handed over a black duffle. They both brought their uniforms just in case anything happened while they attended to this family matter. Dick wore gray lace-less slip-on sneakers, black skinny jeans, a plaid navy shirt and a black double-breasted peacoat.
“You look like you popped right out of a Nordstorm ad, Dickie-Boy.”
“Very funny.”
Even though they did not fly through any airline they still needed to walk through the busy London airport. Besides it would hard to travel in any normal way being two people who were legally dead. The only difference was that one of them actually did die. They walked through the airport in silence talking only when they walked down a somewhat busy London sidewalk a block or two away from the airport.
“So, I know B is crazy worried about Damian, but, he’s probably fine. I mean the kid’s what? Eighteen? Twenty? Twenty-three? Point is…”
“He’s not a kid, anymore. I know, Jay, I know.”
Dick shook his head and sighed. In the short silence that followed he took out his phone and sent a confirmation text to their father. He would much rather rely the information to Alfred but Bruce was treating Damian’s cold shoulder like an ice blast from Freeze. Dick sighed again and hoped that short text didn’t come off as rude. But then again there wasn’t much more to say.
Just landed. On our way.
Bruce texted back immediately: Inform me of any changes in directive.
Dick shook his head at how easily Bruce could switch to mission mode. Sometimes it seemed as if there was no end to Batman and no start to Bruce Wayne; that the two sides of his double life had swirled together over the years. That or the night-life serving as Gotham City’s protector turned Bruce’s hard edges into something even harder.
Or he could just be helicopter-parenting to the extreme, he thought with a slight chuckle.
Jason was busy trying to hail a taxi but was having no such luck. Rain drops began to fall in a very slight drizzle which annoyed the both of them. London, being famously rainy, tended to have long and hard rainstorms. And that was something they needed to avoid if they wanted to get this done quickly. Finally, a black cab pulled to the curb and stopped. Jason angrily climbed in and Dick followed suit. They told the driver where they going and the middle-aged man nodded before he eased back into traffic.
“We need to do this for Bruce.” Dick said as they settled into the rear seats of the taxi.
“I just don’t understand why it has to be us.”
“Because we promised, Jay”
“Only after he threatened us,” Jason replied with a slight smirk.
XXXX
Damian sat in his dorm; alone. Using his wealth and status as a Wayne he convinced the admissions office to let him have a dorm to himself. He sat the cheaply made wooden desk writing an essay on how Shakespeare’s plays appealed to all audiences of the time through his use of higher language as well as crude humor.
He was also ignoring the fact that he needed sleep.
His eyes closed and his head drooped as he began to unconsciously nod off. But then a series of loud knocks on his door jolted him awake. Rising from his seat he marked the passage of Othello he was using for his essay with a yellow flag sticky note. As he crossed the room he grumbled threats in his native tongue under his breath aimed at whoever stood behind his door.
“ساقتل بحذف عاكاتك ناماها”
"سخيف الكلب انا سوف يقتاك ”
“ابن لا تصلح للتنفس”
But to his surprise the two people standing in his doorway were the last two people he’d been expecting. Upon seeing the two figures in his doorway his jaw dropped and his eyes went wide and then in the moment his face scrunched in anger. He grit his teeth angrily but allowed the two men to enter his dorm room.
“Grayson. Todd.”
“Hey, buddy,” Dick said with a smile as he looked around the room. “Nice place you get here.”
Damian crossed his arms over his chest and scoffed. “Cut the pleasantries, Grayson. I know Father sent the two of you to spy on me.”
Dick had sat down on Damian’s small, almost military cot-like, bed while Jason rifled through the young man’s miniature fridge. Then Dick rose and crossed to Damian’s desk and looked over his essay. Jason grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge and a pack of trail mix. Meanwhile Damian stood near the doorway leaning against the wall with his arms crossed over his chest and a scowl on his face.
“Don’t you have any real food, Short Stop?” Jason asked he sat Indian-style on the middle of the floor and began to eat.
“You cannot make fun of my height any longer, Todd. We’re the exact same height. Tell me why Father has you two spying on me. Now!” Damian said through grit teeth.
Dick spun around in the chair and crossed his arms over the back. “Bruce is worried about you. He sent us because you’ve been ignoring him, kiddo. Hey, wait, are you wearing a Nightwing shirt?”
Damian’s tan cheeks turned a dark red in embarrassment and he looked away. He had completely forgotten that he was wearing the shirt. He had even forgotten that he had bought it until he put it on that morning before his 6AM stage fighting class. That early morning class was also the reason he wore clothing he would normally never wear in public; sweatpants and sandals.
“What of it, Grayson?”
“Nothing,” Dick replied with a proud smile.
“Why don’t you sit here by me, Shorty?” Jason said giving Damian a worried look.
“Oh. Sorry. Force of habit. But you look like you’re one foot in the grave. Sit down.”
Damian scoffed but sat. “You don’t understand what college is like, Todd. You never went.”
“One of the advantages of being dead, I guess,” Jason said with a slight chuckle. “I haven’t written an essay in years and besides I don’t think any of us needs to go to college. Especially you.”
“You are a disgrace, Todd,” Damian said through a mouthful of trail mix.
The three of them soon fell into conversation about their other lives. Much to their surprise Damian was dying to know about everything that was going on in Gotham. And he really meant everything from what was going on with the family to what the GCPD was doing to the adventures of Arkham’s current inmates. As Jason told a story of how he and The Outlaws took down Killer Croc one time Damian snuggled closer to him, but, Jason took no notice.
“Jason...” Dick whispered.
“What? I was in the middle of the best part.”
“Look,” he said as he pointed to the spot next to Jason.
Jason turned to see that the young adult had fallen asleep against him. His face contorted in a mix of anger and surprise. “Seriously, Dami?”
“Wait a minute, Jay. Don’t move.”
Dick walked over and bent down on the other side of the sleeping youngster. He pulled his phone out and when Jason started to object Dick shushed him. Reaching out Dick snapped a photo of the three of them. Looking at the photo he chuckled to himself. The only time that the young man had ever looked peaceful and calm was when he was sound asleep. Then he sent the photo to Bruce with a caption.
Mission’s going well. Enemy has been subdued.
When Bruce received the text from Dick all the worry left him and he smiled wider than he had in long time.

Rating: General Audiences Archive Warning: No Archive Warnings Apply Categories: Gen, M/M Fandoms: DCU (Comics), Batman - All Media Types, Red Hood and the Outlaws (Comics), Red Robin (Comics) Relationship: Tim Drake/Jason Todd
Summary:
Jason is a suspicious–ly attractive–person and Tim is too cute for his own good.
“Drake!” Commissioner Gordon bellowed. “Get over here. You’re riding with Marks and Sanchez today.”
“Commissioner, that ain’t necessary. We ain’t the best babysitters. Grayson and Malloy are where you should put the kid.” Marks sneered in Tim’s direction.
Sanchez thumped Marks when the Commissioner turned to them, “Kid wants to be a good detective, so why don’t we show him the ropes.” He snickers, complete with the suggestive eyebrow wiggle.
“I don’t want to hear your shit, boys, he worked hard to get here just like everyone else. I expect you to behave,” Gordon huffed before marching off to his office, grumbling about paperwork and idiots.
“Alright kid, but that means you’re in the princess seat.” Marks said leering at Tim. Voice dropping low and faux gravel, “I’m sure you’re used to being the princess, ain’t’cha rich boy? Pretty little thing like you, I bet—“
“Can it Marks, Princess ain’t worth the trouble he’ll cause ya when he snitches.” Sanchez snaps.
“That’s—“
“Shut up, kid, ain’t no one wanna hear your voice. Just grab a chair, sit down, and look pretty.” Sanchez huffed.
Despite every instinct screaming to fight, to show them just how hard he worked to get here, Tim gritted his teeth and obediently pulled out a nearby chair and dropped into it.
“Sanchez,” Grayson chirped, “chief says he’s got something for you three, unless… Drake, I’ve got clearance to take you with me and Malloy to check out the 11-57 down on Southeastern.”
“If you want that is,” he added when Tim made no response.
Tim hummed, “Suspicious person? Sounds more interesting than watching these two get chewed out again.” He smirked softly, getting up to follow Grayson over to where Malloy was waiting by the door, twirling his keys and whistling what sounded like the Imperial March.
“Who is that?” Drake asked, jerk information his thumb to the left.
Dick blinked, following his motion to the—frankly gorgeous—man lazily sprawled in the chair Drake had dragged almost behind Sanchez’ desk when he first started riding with them almost a month ago.
“Hmmm,” Dick purred. “I’m going to go find out.” With a wink back at Drake, he sauntered off—making sure to pass close to the man—to where Sanchez and Marks were talking to the on duty Desk Sergeant.
Tim glanced down, biting his bottom lip, debating. He knew that if this mystery man met Dick, he’d be completely entranced, everyone was. Without his conscious knowledge, he began moving towards the man; it wasn’t usual for him to be so.. so interested in someone, especially based on just looking. But this man, he was—
“—23-19. B&E down on 6th, victim gave a description.” The desk Sergeant looked down towards the file in his hands, walking towards where Tim had edged close to the man. “Suspect: large male, over 6ft, dark hair, light eyes, pale skin, wearing a dark jacket and carrying a messenger bag.”
“But,” Dick started, clearly pouting, “this guy is wearing glasses, and judging by the book and the bloody nose, I’d say he was reading it. And definitely not breaking into someone’s house.” Dick pouted.
The guy winked at Tim and asked, “Am I free to go yet chief, I didn’t do anything wrong. Just an innocent bystander slammed into a brick wall. They call that police brutality, I think.”
“Quiet, Mr. Todd. You remember how this works, don’t you?” The Desk Sergeant replied dryly, sparring only a withering glance for the man—now visibly handcuffed to his chair. “You’re arresting officers are talking to Gordon.”
The man let out a deep chuckle. “I’m sure we’d all appreciate seeing that.”
“Just keep quiet and try not to get yourself booked for resisting arrest,” the Desk Sergeant threw over his shoulder as he returned to his post.
“So,” Dick cleared his throat, “I’m detective—“
“Grayson. Yeah, I know. Ain’t the first time we’ve met, Goldie. Guess it has been a while though.” The man—Mr. Todd—said. “Gonna introduce me to your cute friend.“ It wasn’t so much a question as an order disguised by a deep voice and a salacious grin.
Dick pouted as Tim turned scarlet, earning another deep chuckle from the man before them. “This is junior officer Drake.”
When neither man responded or so much as twitched in Dick’s direction, he mumbled “I guess I’ll leave you too it and trudged back to his own desk.
“So, um…” Tim cleared his throat, trying to will the blush from his cheeks. “I’m Officer, I mean Detective—Junior Detective Drake.”
The man’s grin grew as Tim stuttered out his attempt at an introductions. “Jason Todd, though just Jason is fine. I’d shake your hand, but they cuffed me to the chair,” he—Jason said, rattling the metal cuffs for emphasis.
“J-Jason, what-t are you in-n for?” Tim had to break eye contact, embarrassed by his inability to talk to the man.
Jason leaned forward, “Do I make you nervous, Detective?” he questions, voice all faux innocent. He leaned back again, leather jacket creaking and bunching with every movement. “Or do you just like a man in cuffs? Hmm, a good boy like you need a bad boy? You want me to be yours?”
Tim glanced up, ready to object, but only managed to catch the breathtaking smile, and yet another wink before he returned his gaze to the ground, blush returning full force.
“Th-That’s not… I didn’t… I mean—“
“It’s okay kid, I’m sure you can convince someone here to give you my number or at least tell you where to find me. Plus—“
“Jay!” Gordon barked, interrupting whatever Jason was going to say, and making Tim flinch at the sudden, loud noise. Tim couldn’t tell whether he was thankful or disappointed with the intrusion. “You’re free to go. Babs’ll have my head if I keep you any longer. Plus, she was happy to verify your whereabouts. Maybe next time don’t antagonize the officers just doing their job, huh?”
Tim blinked at Gordon, nor quite understanding what he was talking about; wasn’t Babs his daughter?
Jason snickered, “She’s just mad because Officers Dumb and Dumber left her alone with the munchkins, and apparently they terrorize her library without a teacher there. Also,” he smirked “maybe if you officers weren’t rude—or followed protocol—I wouldn’t have to antagonize them.”
He held his hands up for Gordon to unlock the cuffs, raising an eyebrow to the Detectives cowering behind Gordon. “Although, this one,” he gestured to Tim—leading to yet another blush—“I’m going to continue to rile, just look at that adorable blush.”
Tim sputtered out an attempted at denying the accusation that he was ‘adorable’, but no one paid attention.
Jason thanked the Commissioner and began sauntering towards the front doors. “The kids go home at 7, see if you can find me by then, Detective. Maybe even brings the cuffs.”
Tim choked on air, flushing bright red, already thinking how he could convince Commissioner Gordon to tell him more about Jason, and where to find him.
