Announcing JayTim Week 2024!

Do you love JayTim? Do you also enjoy word play? Puns? Crying in frustration because English has way too many words that are spelled exactly the same but mean different things? Then we have an event for you!

Welcome to JayTim Week 2024: Double Entendres!

This year, the event will run from June 23 to June 29. To shake things up a little bit, instead of asking for submissions, the mods have carefully curated a list of words that have all sorts of meanings, depending on the way you read them.

You can use any single meaning in your work(s) or, if you're feeling inspired, as many as you think you can fit! As the creator, it's entirely up to you how much or little you want to play on words.

[Jaytim Week 2024 - Day 1: Duck]

Did you know that ducklings will follow their human parents around if they don’t have an adult duck? This is based on that.

Further Context:

I’d planned on writing a fic but ran out of time :’D might finish it later, we’ll see.

Short rundown: Jason gets turned into a duck, by a magician who messes up a spell. Magician flees and the Red Hood finds Duck Tim in an alleyway in Crime Alley.

Not wanting to leave the poor defenceless animal to defend for itself, hood takes Duck Tim home with the plan to send him to a shelter (spoiler alert - the shelters closed and Jason has officially adopted a duck).

Jason puts in lots of research about ducks (he owns one now, he may as well) and learns that they don’t do well in isolation. So, when Jason finds an abandoned box with some ducklings in it on his way home, he takes it as a sign from the universe to adopt more ducks.
