This year’s Super Bowl was a weapon of mass distraction. If there’s any justice, future generations will remember the game not for Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, or Taylor Swift but for the US-funded attacks on Palestinian civilians that occurred while so many Americans were glued to their TVs. During the game, watched by well over 100 million people in the United States, Israel launched a bombing raid of Rafah in the Gaza Strip, the most densely populated area on earth. More than 1 million people had fled now-leveled Gaza City to the refugee camps in Rafah and surrounding areas. Palestinians who have survived previous Israeli strikes are now staving off disease, destitution, and fear.
Meanwhile, CBS granted the Israeli government space for an ad about the 130 hostages left in Gaza. This ad, meant to build public support and justify the slaughter of nearly 30,000 civilians in Gaza, spurred 10,000 people to register complaints with the FCC, because the commercial did not disclose that a foreign government had paid for it. Coupled with the Rafah raid, this looks more like military synergy than happenstance.
New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft also spent $7 million on an ad from his organization Foundation to Combat Anti-Semitism. It features Clarence Jones, a 93-year-old former speech writer for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Kraft and other pro-war billionaires use the memory of King so much, they should be paying his family indulgences for slandering his name. The ad failed to mention that Kraft has given $1 million to pro-war AIPAC and donated $1 million in 2016 to Donald Trump’s inauguration. Given that Kraft says that the Nazi march in Charlottesville was his motivation to start his foundation (Charlottesville was the one with “good people on both sides,” according to Trump), his hypocrisy is insidious.
Kraft and Israel want the same thing: a blank check to uproot Palestinians from Gaza and build settlements. One can also only imagine if a peace organization tried to buy an ad asking Israel and the United States the question: “How many dead children will be enough?” I suspect it would be denied faster than a public-service announcement about concussions.

Score Productions, Inc. Demo Record (TV Themes)
Score Productions, Inc. was one of the most popular companies to supply music for television in the 1970s and 1980s.  This demo record contains several of their popular TV themes and likely dates to 1979 or the early 1980s.  The following text appears on the record sleve:
"Staying power in the field of television and film music is not easy to come by.  It requires flexibility and an ability to move with the times.  This album displays a variety of thematic material created by Score Productions, Inc. for many different assignments over a period of years.  It ranges from our most contemporary efforts to themes that have become recognized as standards in the industry.  However, thematic music is actually a fraction of our work, for we are primarily devoted to the creation of original scores.  The premise has always been professional excellence and taste.  Every project is a unique, creative challenge.
Included in the sleeve of this album is a more comprehensive list of credits to further illustrate the scope and diversity of our work.  However, we should like to believe that all of our music conclusively speaks for itself.
Bob Israel, President"
Unfortunately, the composers of some of these themes are not currently known.  Usually, a production would credit "Score Productions, Inc." for music rather than listing the composers themselves.  Additionally, due to licensing and royalty arrangements meant to benefit Score Productions and/or a show's production company, the composers of record in a composition's ASCAP or BMI listing are not always accurate.  Composer credit was listed in this video where possible, based on a combination of a show's credits, ASCAP/BMI listings, or interviews.

JUNE 19th 2024- Australian activist Robert Martin shares a video he made in 2015 (8 years ago) urging the United Nations to list Israel as an abuser of children. He describes visiting Palestine after Operation Protective Edge in 2014, which massacred 547 Palestinian children, 535 of them killed as a direct result of Israeli attacks. Nearly 68% of the children killed by Israeli forces were 12 years old or younger.
Martin describes how under apartheid, Israeli police abduct Palestinian children on bogus charges of stone throwing as a way to terrorize the Palestinian populace. Children are blindfolded, driven around for hours, and illegally taken into Israel where they are often physically and sexually abused, then locked up without charge and deprived from seeing lawyers or their parents.
In June of 2024, Israel was finally put on the on the UN blacklist of countries that harm children.

-It seemed like the media accused this politician of being antisemitic, and now he's trying to prove that he's not antisemitic by saying how great Israel is. Does that surprise you?
“It doesn't surprise me because like I said, this is the general perception that's given, very successfully done by the Zionists as a ploy gaining support and to stifle any opposition to the state of Israel, is by equating and convoluted the two concepts of Judaism and Zionism, even though it's really both contradictory and it's just so blatantly wrong.
Judaism is to serve God, to be peaceful, to be loving, to do kindness.
Zionism is a truly selfish political movement of occupying another people. So wrong, so vicious, so anti what Judaism is all about.
And it's totally humiliating to us as practicing Jews to see and hear what is being done in our name.
APAC, for instance, and the other Zionist organization, makes it a point of attempting to have every single faction in the United States or around the world, any political group, whether it's Democrats or Republicans or Independents, it really doesn't matter, they want to actually equate and convolute the issue of Judaism in the Jewish people and the state of Israel and try to create a mirage, a concept that if you're opposing the state of Israel, you're antisemitic.
And in truth, conflating Israel and Zionism, what they are doing is the greatest exacerbator of antisemitism around the world.”

Robert Reich:
Yesterday, Joe Biden spoke out against antisemitism. I’m glad he did. But I also worry that by speaking out against antisemitism without acknowledging what has sparked the student protests across America, he is conflating those protests with antisemitism.
By and large, the protests are not motivated by antisemitism. There may be some antisemites among demonstrators. Protest movements are often ignited by many different things and attract an assortment of people with a range of motives. But after many talks with demonstrators and faculty, it seems clear to me this protest movement is centered on moral outrage at the killings of tens of thousands of innocent people in Gaza, most of them women and children. Many of the demonstrators are themselves Jewish. Jews have been involved in these protests for the same reason Jews were so involved in other social justice movements — such as the struggles for women’s rights, worker’s rights, civil rights, voting rights, free speech, and LGBTQ+ rights. And against the Vietnam War, apartheid in South Africa, and the Iraq War. The oppression that Jewish people have experienced for hundreds if not thousands of years has taught Jews the necessity of standing up to injustice — whatever its form and whenever it appears.
Yesterday, House Republicans continued their hearings on antisemitism. They called public school officials from three of the most politically liberal communities in the nation — Berkeley, California; New York City; and Montgomery County, Maryland. Their hearings on antisemitism in higher education helped topple the presidents of Harvard and the University of Pennsylvania and pushed Columbia’s president to promise a crackdown on campus antisemitism. Her crackdown led to the arrest of more than 100 protesters at Columbia and a further surge in student activism there. House Republicans are politicizing and weaponizing antisemitism. They are using supposed antisemitism in education as a means of pursuing their cultural populist agenda, which for years has denigrated universities and public schools. They are also intent on splitting liberal Democrats over the war in Gaza.
[...]
I was reminded of this by the Antisemitism Awareness Act, passed in the House of Representatives on May 1, by a 320-91 vote. It would codify, for the purpose of enforcing federal civil rights law in higher education, a definition of antisemitism that includes rejection of Israel as a Jewish state. The bill also adopts the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s definition of antisemitism, which includes “claims of Jews killing Jesus.”
Although the bill was initiated by House Republicans, much of the opposition to it has come from the Christian right, which wants to be able to continue saying that Jews killed Jesus. [...] But antisemitism can’t and shouldn’t be legislated away. Once we start defining what views are impermissible on a university campus or in public schools — for getting a job, receiving research funding, or getting promoted — we’re back in the era of Senator Joe McCarthy and communist witch hunts. And once we start conflating antisemitism with protests against mass brutality, such as the slaughter in Gaza, we invite blindness to injustices in which America is complicit.
Robert Reich nails it in this piece about antisemitism and college campus protests. The protests at campuses across the country are not motivated by antisemitism, but anger over Israel's genocide campaign in Gaza.
The Congressional hearings on antisemitism in colleges serve a purpose: to politicize and weaponize the definition of antisemitism and to generate anti-higher education sentiments.
